I think Dream isn’t ok guys. Also, OMG OFFICIAL OSN SHATTERED DREAMS DAWN DESIGN 😲????? So yes I know he basically wearing the same thing as his normal clothes just no vest and arm bands. bUt!! His CAPE is ON HIS hIP!! And he clearly hasn’t been taking good care of it aHA lol. If only Dream had his trusty crown back man, the look would be complete. Anyhow, new chapter coming out soon! It sure is an INKling of a CERTAIN SOMEONE’S backstory. Hehe. @calcium-cat I hope you like my art block breaker lol (aka Dawn)

Kid Nightmare AU (Not OSD or reset!mare)

full disclosure: this is inspired by @calcium-cat who created OSD (One Small Dream) 

My AU is similar but role reversed and the cause of the age reversal is a complete accident unrelated to Sci. I call it Bippity Boppity Baby Bones (cheesy I know).

Summary: Nightmare gets accidentally turned back into a child (8 years old) by a mystery potion and temporarily loses his memories before this point. Dream tries to give him what he never had as a kid (thank you abusive villagers). Nightmare starts to remember things via dreams and becomes distrustful of Dream. Cue angst. Nightmare ends up snapping at Dream (sad banana hours) who pulls away (they eventually figure it out). Sci makes an antidote but Nightmare after lots of talking with Dream doesn’t want it preferring to have a chance at growing back up with Dream at his side to guide him. Yes he still has black apple powers/privileges (angst for later).

so irl stuff happened but we've been cooking up some stuff here and there and we figured you guys might wanna see them :D

so we're gonna talk about the second dreamtale concept we have which is a variant of the swap!osd au by @calcium-cat,,,, and basically! nm has a harsher personality, but at the same time holds a much softer spot for dream. He fights back against his bullies and believes that dream is too kind and tells him so often using scathing comments, but dream understands that nm is just a little tsun tsun. Nm is also proud of all the knowledge he has cultivated and makes sure to rub it in peoples faces by delivering sick burns and insulting bullies left and right

For the apple incident, the apples blacken when nm and the villagers fight over the tree and he accidentally touches one of the fruits. Dream arrives in time to see the villagers dealing the fatal blow to nm as well as the tree

Desperate, dream feeds a black apple to nm hoping that it would still be able to heal him but instead intensifies nm's negativity. This later on will be the biggest factor behind dream's guilt

Nm is still dying so his negativity powers him to continue consuming the apples but he keeps going and the power eventually corrupts him

Now nm wants to get revenge so dream takes the last golden apple (this one fell from the tree while the tree was being cut, before the negativity got to it) to have more of a fighting chance and to better protect the people against nm, but he still gets petrified like in canon (or maybe we'll just put him in a coma induced by the intense negativity... i dont really understand the logic behind him turning to stone so we might toss out that idea) (we're open to suggestions though!)

Nm's adrenaline powered mind sees dream's petrified/knocked out self and goes mad, going on a rampage and destroying the entire village.

Of course, 500 years later, dream wakes up and joins ink's group. Ink actually asked sci to make something up that could weaken nightmare's gang but forgets about it, so the formula somehow ends up in dream's hands as the unofficial second in command. Dream, ever the guilt-ridden but hope-filled person, tests it out first on nm. Maybe, this could buy him just enough time to hold a civil conversation with him... imagine everyone's surprise when the lofty scholar-type king turns into a filthy mouthed baby gremlin

In addition to being significantly cheaper than AIM-9X & AIM-120, APKWS capability improves the magazine by swapping out 2 A2A missiles for 14 or more APKWS rockets. With OSD funding a fire-forget variant of the APKWS (IIR seeker), this could get additional near term enhancements

One, Lonely Smile

Never once did Nightmare think they would end up here.

Face to face, eyes to eyes, standing before his brother with a broken heart.

It was never supposed to end up like this. He had a second chance! A chance to make it right, but instead... it was as if the world hated him. Instead of having the happy life he's always wanted the universe turned Dream against him and made them enemies once more.

It was his own doing more than likely, Nightmare rages to himself. Giving Dream a reason to hate him once more. There's a twitch to his mouth as he tries not to outwardly snarl at his own weakness.

Dream stands shakily before him, meters away, looking determined, yet afraid. Something. The sheer sense of mourning radiating off of him... it worries Nightmare, more than he would like to admit. What was Dream missing? What was he wishing for? Nightmare made sure to give the young guardian everything the boy could ever want but it wasn't enough! What did Dream want from him, than he couldn't provide?

Ink and Swap stand behind Dream, weapons out, auras dark. Dream clings to Ink, trembling slightly but standing tall. The white stripes across the pale blue jacket he wears is wrinkled and stained now. Filled with dust and dirt. The stripes glare Nightmare's failure at him like a big red "You fucked up" sign written in LED-lettering.

Nightmare tried to get it right, oh how he tried.

He tried to give Dream the life he deserved. The life they deserved. But it wasn't enough.

Why wasn't it enough?

"Dream, come here." Nightmare tries to coax his brother, but he was met with eyes squeezed shut and a hard shake of the the small head.

"Dream," Again, Dream refuses. "Come, let's go home and we'll have dinner and we'll talk about it.. I'll even make you some of your favourite—"

"Don't talk to him." Swap growls, cyan bone-sickles poised before him that tells of training.

Nightmare nearly lashes out at him, before his eyes flicker back to Dream in a moment of hesitation. His brother is shrinking back, eyes wide as Nightmare's negativity batteres down on him. Instantly, Nightmare releases his hold of the resentment emanating through his soul, and the aura dissipates. With a painful twist squeezing his heart, Nightmare watches as Dream visibly relaxes in Ink's hold, the paint splattered skeleton returning his gaze to Nightmare pointedly, as if daring him try anything.

Nightmare grits his teeth, taking a step forward.

"Not. Another. Step."

Where had he gone wrong? At which point had the universe shifted enough to allow his hard work to fail, after all these years? He tried so incredibly hard to be a true, proper person for Dream—for this child, eyes which used to be filled with happiness and wonder, who no longer sees him as safe....

Nightmare locks eyes with Dream, and the other's once starry eye-lights have shrunk to near pinpricks of white, not a single hint of the sunshine-yellow that decorated Nightmare's happiest memories, as the child continues to shake minutely, despite the child having calmed slightly.

Nightmare takes a step backwards. Dream's shoulders lower a hint. Another step, and Dream's shaking is nearly gone, instead he tilts his head the smalles fraction as he watches Nightmare do the one thing he has never done since—well, since ever.

Nightmare turns away, and one step at a time, and gives up.

Not even a glance backwards at the trio is spared as Nightmare opens a portal, tentacles folding and disappearing into the sludge as it recedes off himself as he allows the goop to receeed away under his bones, showing a pale, half-cracked skull and a single black tear dripping down the unmarked side.

To understand the present or future, one must understand the past. Specifically, the beginning:

It had been a fluke.

A routine raid with his crew. An UnderFell, he believes, filled with smoke and ash. They had set the forests alight with a concoction their resident, mad-science inclined Lust Sans had cooked up. Nightmare hadn't even needed to persuade the skeleton, as Lust was uncharacteristically happy to help. He had said the targeted AU's Sans had been pretty sleazy during his visits to the maturely-inclined AU. While most visitors taking a poke around the AU were some of the not-so-kind crowd, they had never been as bad as the Fell Sans had been.

Nightmare remembers Killer laughing at the poor souls attempting to escape from the fires; from up as high as Nightmare has positioned his crew, the smoke meant nothing to them, and thus the screaming had become almost a movie to watch for Killer. Dust was cackling as well, though not as much, mostly at the local Fell Sans as he seemed to be arguing with Fell Papyrus in the middle of evacuating Snowdin.

Nightmare watched with distaste as the two forcefully wrangle Horror over to where they stand on Nightmare's magic—the edge of a simple platform, reinforced by the large volume of negativity Nightmare was draining from the AU—where Horror proceeded to look back at Nightmare before turning hsi gaze back, insulting the AU inhabitants with jus teammates.

The power settled into his bones— it kept settling, and while it was nowhere near too much, the content feeling of being properly charged had been a slight bit too comforting.

Nightmare.. doesn't remember what happened, but one moment he was twisting aorund, tentacles armed and ready with adrenaline coursing through his veins at power rocketing towards him and his gang, and the next he was hit. He was thrown far, so far in fact, he had hit something and felt it shatter after minutes in the air.

When he managed to get to his feet, he had barely enough negativity in his system to glue back the pieces of bone broke by the impact. A large chunk of bone from the left side of his jaw around to the base of his skull behind his head, right where the spine joined with the fragmented bone, had completely broken off. It hurt, so incredibly bad, but he bore the agony. He couldn't do much else. His power reserves were empty, dry as a bone, and the only way he could heal is of he found somewhere to feed from and that had been the only proper chance he had gotten for months.

The goop that flowed around him, protected him, was gone, and only crack-riddled bone remained. His only cover being the deep indigo, embroidered waistcoat he wore, the black dress pants he chose that morning and the thin, sheer black gloves he donned at all times, that were now torn and ragged, black blood leaking and staining them. With the sludge gone, and his cloak absent, Nightmare felt more exposed than he has since—

—No! He's not thinking about that.

Never about that.

Nightmare had stumbled to his feet, weak and injured, searching for any ounce of negativity to help him, to mend him—but he found nothing. And so, he stumbled along the cliff by his side, limping aimlessly. As his power slowly replenished, he attempted reconnection with his hand, tried to spark the portal links with each of his underlings, to no avail. Tried to create new links with the remains of broken towns he passed through, with the dusty remains of thing that used to live there but that, too, failed.

Nightmare wandered aimlessly, with only his exhaustion and dissipating anger as company until eventually, he collapsed against the side of a a piece of rubble on the outskirts of one of the devastated villages.

He was dying, he knew. Nothing could stop it, nothing could slow it. This place was a purgatory, nothing alive, but nothing dead either. There was no emotion; no joy, no dispair. No hatred or love.

There was just him.

Just Nightmare.

Until eventually, there wasn't just Nightmare.

When his breath was weak, his eyes lacking the strength to simply open, a presence had appeared.

It was making its way slowly towards him, hesitant and wary. He began hearing fooorsteps, boots pressing down over vines and brush as the presence came closer, until there was a hand over his own where it lied limply at his side. The feeling of bone encapsulated it, warm and tight.

Through the hand came energy.

A painful, incredibly hot energy, but it was energy all the same. It pushed with way through to his black heart with liquid fire but for the first time in how doesn't know how long, Nightmare found himself with the strength to slowly feed off of the worry and panic of his saviour.

Over what felt like days, with that energy steadily burning its way into his soul, Nightmare managed to open a single eyes, a violet eye-light flickering to life. Weakly.

Wide, golden eyes filled with unsteady, unshead molten yellow tears met his own, along with a small, white skull with small golden markings around the corners of the eye-sockets. It acted almost liek eyeliner, as it rimmed around the smooth bone, tapering off in a hooking swirl towards the inner corner of the eye-socket.

The markings weren't known to Nightmare, but those worried eyes, were.

"...Dream?"

Welcome to OLS! It's an au I've had cooking for a while, and I'm very excited to share it! This'll be a multiple-part fic, tho it won't be too long (I hope). It's meant to be the first hurah into it :P

(Also if the mittens were cursed they would place one of those plastic finger puppets on the wearer's fingers. The finger puppets can come off but they won't disappear once they are created (unless Dream takes off the mittens then all the puppets disappear). So 10 plastic finger puppets would just appear everytime Dream puts on the mittens or takes off all 10 finger puppets while wearing the gloves. Also the finger puppets are in the shape of ducks.)

CONCLUSION OF THE DREAM TOURNAMENT'S SECOND ROUND

The polls have stopped and the votes have been counted. Here come the results!

OSD!Nightmare, despite his efforts on finding the universe, failed to free Dream. Though Shattered!Dream and OSD bonded over the period of time, the fans figured OSD worthy of going forward. Shattered!Dream was defeated by OSD 55.4% to 44.6%. This is the most popular poll in the tournament so far, with 970 users voting. Rumor has it the host cried for hours because of this result. OSD!Nightmare is still seeking his little brother.

Molten!Dream beat Swad's massive ego, 66.9% to 33.1%. He, unironically, had a similar reaction to losing to Molt as Oneiros did when he lost to him during the first round. 432 users voted.

Modernverse!Dream, due to not paying attention and the massive amount of love that the voters had for Empireverse!Dream, lost to him. Modern!Dream did not mind the defeat, and was thankful for the memories given to him by this tournament. The poll was 73% to 27%, and 337 users voted.

Last but certainly not least, Dawn's attitude did not suit the crowd well this time, despite Dream's pleas to make friendship. Dawn lost to OG!Dream 74.3% to 25.7%. 276 users voted. Dusk was left to listen to Dawn's pouting.

With that being said, the semifinals are now declared!

Vortex 250 cleanflight firmware

VORTEX 250 CLEANFLIGHT FIRMWARE FULL

To: cleanflight/cleanflight-configurator Oldhelidog Re: jeti receiver not recognised in Cleanįlight Configurator for use with Naze ImmersionRC Vortex ( #234) Sent from my Verizon Wireless 4G LTE smartphoneįrom: Dominic Clifton 3:42 AM (GMT-06:00) It’s going to be tricky trying to swap out the camera because the CMOS is 5v and the CCD is 12v.Updated to the newest firmware a month or so ago and it solved the issue. I haven’t flown the Vortex at night but I’m guessing the CMOS will not perform as well as a CCD. The Fatshark 600TVL CMOS camera is not so great. The bottom plate is fiberglass reinforced circuit board. The arms, top plate and camera mount is carbon fiber. Not sure what happened here but hopefully it will be fixed in the next firmware update. Resetting the quad will return the Vortex to the factory state in PPM rx mode. To reset the Vortex, plug in the battery (and hopefully the rear LED’s will come on) and push the button on the top right of the LED board for 8 seconds. I had to reset the Vortex several times to fix it. Sometimes the LED’s wouldn’t even come on. Sometimes I could arm the Vortex with stick movement and the LED would change green but the motors wouldn’t spin. It would connect to Cleanflight but it wouldn’t let me select any of the tabs. After I did my settings in Cleanflight, unplugged and powered back up, nothing worked! My rx was bound but no stick movements, video feed in the goggles but no OSD, and no rear LED’s. All the parts on the Vortex feels like they spent a lot of time developing and are top quality.īad Stuffĭuring my setup of the Vortex I did have something weird happen. The build of the Vortex feels great, the frame feels rock solid. I had a minor crash and all it did was bend one of the arms back and broke the prop. You can adjust the forward/backward position of the battery with the velcro straps to help counter balance the GoPro or Mobius. Having the battery mounted directly on top of that line helps give the Vortex a smooth balanced feeling. (center of gravity) line on the bottom of the Vortex that helps you balance the quad. I love how the FPV camera is mounted in a way you can adjust the angle by just moving it with your fingers. I’ll be making custom GoPro and Mobius mounts for it. The dampened camera mount on the Vortex works great! I had to ghetto rig my GoPro on it with a folded post-it note for the tilt in the meantime. I’m thinking about going beast mode and swapping the motors out with Cobra 2208 2000kv motors but I’m not sure the stock ESC’s will handle it. Overall the Vortex flew great! Even with the stock T-Motor 1806 2300kv motors and 5030 props it felt like it had plenty of punch and was really smooth. I can’t blame all the shaky video to the PIDs, some of it was me stomping my legs and swatting mosquitos, sorry. It can be corrected by tweaking the PIDs. With these PIDs the Vortex had some crazy yaw drift.

I didn’t get a chance to tune any PIDs because the mosquitos were out in full force. The video above was flown in preset 1 with the PIDs that came with the Vortex. Check out the video above to see the set up. I’m using a Taranis X9D transmitter and FrSky D4R-II receiver. My Vortex was pretty much plug and play but I did encounter an issue while setting it up. It sounds like some people can’t even get their quads to fly. I’ve been getting a lot of questions about setting up the Vortex.

Nightmare’s eyes fluttered open as he woke up. He looked around, it was pretty dark except for one window which let some sunlight in. He hadn’t noticed that window before somehow. He also noticed that he felt better today, he wondered…..maybe..? He got up and made sure he was stable before letting go of the bed. He wasn’t dizzy anymore, and could walk! He walked over to the window, there was a bunch of flowers outside and a few trees! He heard some birds chirping aswell. It kind of reminded him a bit of….his old home….and…

Dream! He’d completely forgotten about him for a bit. He quickly looked over the bed only to see his brother was still fast asleep. Nightmare thought of waking him up but didn’t want to disturb him. He quietly changed into his normal clothes ( which still got dripped in his weird goo that he now had) and then tiptoed over to the door, being careful not to make any noise. He then slowly opened the door and then slowly closed it, leaving it slightly opened.

He walked down the hall, where should he go first? Maybe the library, or- he stopped walking and turned around. He smelt something good coming from the kitchen! Maybe blue or ink are awake and making breakfast? He heard a growling sound coming from his stomach. Yup, he was definitely hungry. He decided to go towards the kitchen, skipping down the hallway. He wondered what it was as he got closer to where the smell was coming from.

Blue wiped off some of the batter that he had accidentally spilt on the counter when trying to grab an ingredient. He continued stirring the batter, the others wanted him to follow some recipes for pancakes instead of making his magnificent tacos for breakfast, or better yet. He could try combining the two, and make a taco pancake! Tacocake? Pantaco? The name still needed to be worked on. Anyways, they wanted him not to add any extra ingredients. He still thought that the honey he added in those burgers he had cooked before made it better. But, they just wanted him to stick with a recipe. It was fine though, as dull as the recipe was, the magnificent sans can make it taste wonderful!

He looked back at the recipe, they had bought some powdered pancake batter for him to try using. He poured some into a cup until the cup was half full with the powder. He then decided to grab some milk instead of water, it probably wouldn’t make too much of a difference right? He poured some milk into the cup and began to mix it. It was hard to mix at first so he started to add some more milk. He noticed that it was getting easier to mix as he kept on adding the mi-

“H-hi….” A voice said. Blue was startled and accidentally spilt some milk on the floor. Another spill….

“O-oh! I-I’m sorry….I didn’t mean to s-startle you…” the voice said again. Blue turned around to see who it was, he didn’t see anyone. Then he looked down and saw Nightmare. “Oh, hey there!” Blue said. “I didn’t notice you were there, also it’s ok, I already spilled some of the previous batch earlier.” He grinned, trying to not make Nightmare feel too nervous.

“I-if you want I can h-help you clean up…” Nightmare suggested. “It’s fine” Blue replied. He grabbed some paper towels and cleaned up the mess. There was some akward silence for a bit as blue continued mixing the batter. “…i-is ink still sleeping….?” Nightmare finally asked. “Oh he’s outside somewhere in the flower fields.”

“F-Flower fields?” Nightmare asked, his eye lights lighting up slightly. The last time he was in a flower field was with Dream when he was still around Nightmare’s height. They were picking some of the flowers and making flower crowns out of them for eachother. Maybe….they could do it again? “Yeah there’s a large field of flowers outside near the house.” He wasn’t too used to the other two skeletons yet and was still pretty shy around them, but maybe he could check the flower fields out? It sounded like a pretty good idea, maybe he could make more flower crowns again. “C-can I go to the flower fields…?” Nightmare asked sheepishly. “Sure! Just as long as you don’t go to far and have Ink watching over you.” Blue replied as he started pouring some of the batter onto the pan, which made a slight sizzling sound.

Nightmare walked over to the door, going on his tiptoes to reach the door knob. After opening the door it took some time for his eyes to adjust to the bright sunshine outside. It was so vast and filled with flowers and a few trees over a slight hill. He loved it! He closed the door and ran towards a patch of flowers and laid on it. Looking up at the sky, the sun was bright and there were many clouds too! He couldn’t wait to go exploring, but first he had to find Ink. He looked around, searching for him. Finally, he spotted a white and brown figure in the distance with a few dots of other colors. He headed over to the figure. As he got closer, it was indeed Ink. “U-um… h-hello…” Nightmare waved Shyly. The skeleton turned around and his smile turned to a grin. He waved back at him. “Oh, hi Nightmare! Did you come to enjoy the fields too?” Ink excitedly said. “U-umm….y-yes..” Nightmare responded.

“Aren’t they beautiful? There’s lots of pretty colors too!” Ink looked off at the distant colorful fields.

Nightmare nodded, he still was nervous around Ink. But he did kind of want to go and have fun in the fields, if only his brother was awake. Maybe later they can play in the fields and go exploring, climbing trees and seeing animals. “Well, wanna come explore with me?” Ink asked. “Umm…sure..”

Ink grinned and stood up. “Great, let’s go!” He responded. He held out his hand towards Nightmare. Nightmare hesitated for a bit, but then held his hand and stood up. “O-ok..” Nightmare replied as they walked down from the hill towards more of the fields.

Nightmare looked around as they walked for a bit. Hearing Birds chirping, and water flowing somewhere. Hearing some rustles in leaves as animals moved out of the way, Or an occasional buzz of bee’s collecting pollen from nearby flowers. They eventually came across a creek, and walked along the side of it. Nightmare saw an iguana run into the bush as they came past, and say some little fish swimming in the creek too.

It was pretty peaceful and beautiful here, they hopped over some rocks as they crossed a part of the creek. Ink let go of Nightmare’s hand to pick a few flowers that looked pretty. “You can explore around here, just don’t go too far.”

“O-ok!” Nightmare responded as Ink got distracted by a blue butterfly flying over to the flowers he was holding. Nightmare continued to walk, until he found a big and tall tree which seemed to have two trunks swerving around each other. He leaned against it and felt something fall on his head. It was a small branch that had a few berries in it. He saw some others that had fallen on the ground before he had gotten here that were ripe, he also saw a few peaches. Maybe he could collect some and maybe try making something with his brother? That seemed like a good idea…..except…

Nightmare looked up at the towering tree, it was too tall to reach the fruit…..unless…

He jumped onto the tree and clung to it as he started to climb upwards. He could try climbing up it! He had done this with his brother sometimes, except now it was taller, and bigger, and also he had these weird things on his back that didn’t help, in fact it seemed to drag him down. He knew that he had moved them before when hugging his brother…..but how..? Maybe it could help him climb? He thought at the weird goopy things on his back Grab that branch yet they didn’t move. He tried again, this time trying to imagine one of them grabbing a nearby branch. One of them seemed to twitch but still didn’t move. He frowned at his failed attempt.

He yelled angrily at it, “Come on, just grab that bran-“

Wind brushed against him as he quickly realized what was happening.

He was falling…..

He had misstepped while climbing from his frustration of his failed attempts. “AAAAAA” He screamed as he fell. He was scared, ink was nearby but probably wouldn’t reach him in time, and he was already a long way up, and Dream….his brother….would be so upset if he…..if he……dusted….from falling off of this tree, and he didn’t want to leave his brother-

Tears formed in his eye sockets, only to be brushed away from the wind as he fell. His soul thrummed as he knew he was getting closer to the ground. He couldn’t even say anything anymore, too shocked by what was happening. When all of a sudden….

He felt himself abruptly stop, as if something was holding onto him from above, stopping him from falling. He blinked, and then looked upwards. He saw that one of the goopy things from his back had shot out and grasped onto a branch from the tree, it had stopped his fall. He shakingly sighed with relief, he was ok, he wasn’t falling anymore. But now….he was stuck, he didn’t know how to basically reel himself back using his weird goopy attachment. How would he get back down without just falling agai- “NIGHTMARE!?” a voice shouted. It was ink, he heard rustling of bushes and snapping of twigs in the distance getting louder. “NIGHTMARE ARE YOU OK!?!?” Ink shouted as he finally reached the small clearing that the tree was in. His eye lights darted around wildly until he looked up and finally saw Nightmare. “N-Nightmare?!?”

“I-Im ok!” Nightmare responded. “I stopped myself from falling but, I’m kind of stuck.” Nightmare looked back at the branch his goopy attachment thing was holding onto, and then at himself, and back to Ink. “Don’t worry, I’ll try to get you down!” Ink said and seemed to be thinking. “Are you able to let go? I could try catching you.”

“Uhm…I’ll try.” Nightmare tried to imagine his goopy attachment letting go of the branch, it twitched but nothing else happened. Wait…if it grabbed the branch because I didn’t want to let my self fall and was panicking, does that mean that if I just…

He tried to calm himself, thinking of how ink was there underneath him to catch him if he fell. All of a sudden he began to fall again, it had worked! He smiled as he fell and was caught by Ink, who stumbled from suddenly catching Nightmare. “You’re sure you’re ok?” Ink asked with a worried expression on his face. “Yeah, I-I’m fine now…..thanks for saving me”

“Your welcome! Good thing that your tentacle grabbed that branch.” “Tentacle?” Nightmare asked with a confused expression. “Y’know…these?” Ink grabbed one of the goopy attachments on Nightmare’s back. “Is that what those are called?” Nightmare asked. “Yeah, anyways, we should get back. What were you doing in that tree anyways?”

“W-well…I was trying to collect some of the f-fruit from there….” Nightmare pointed to the peaches and berries at the top of the tree. “Oh, well next time maybe you should ask for help. Climbing up that tall tree wasn’t very safe”

“Y-yeah” Nightmare said, looking down at his curling tentacles instead. “Well, let’s head back” Ink said as he held out his hand for Nightmare. Nightmare still wasn’t entirely used to it, but he grabbed Ink’s hand anyways. After he stood up, they began to follow the path back home. Maybe he’ll get used to those two skeletons soon..

Blue wiped his forehead as he finally finished cooking and preparing the table for breakfast. He looked at the door and back at a clock on the wall. It had been a while since Nightmare left to go outside with Ink, he wondered when they’d be back…

He decided to do a taste test of their breakfast and it actually didn’t taste as bad as he thought the recipe would. It still wouldn’t have been harmful if he added a few ingredients to make it taste better…

Wait no! He had promised Ink and Dream that he’d stick to the recipe this time without having to be supervised by one of them. How had they not trusted him with following the recipe before? Well, at least now they trusted him, and he didn’t want to lose that.

“Good morning Blue…” Dream yawned. Dream opened his eyes and stared at the empty chairs surrounding the dining table. He looked a bit suprised and confused. “Nightmare isn’t here yet? I thought he would’ve already been at the table.” Dream said a bit worriedly. “Don’t worry, Nightmare is outside with Ink! They should be back soon.” Blue said while waving his hand slightly. He looked back at the clock…

The front door creaked open

Blue whipped around to see Nightmare covered in leaves, some small flowers, and a few broken off twigs, holding Ink’s hand. Blue sighed with relief.

“Welcome back! You guys took a little long….er well breakfast is ready on the dining table!”

“Yeah sorry about that. We went exploring and then Nightmare fell from a tree and i-“ Ink started to explain. Dream interrupted him by rushing over to him and Nightmare. “NIGHTMARE FELL OFF OF A WHAT!?!?” Dream exclaimed.

“C-Calm down Dream he’s fine. He was trying to climb a tree and fell off, but you should’ve seen him.” Ink explained further. “He caught himself with his tentacles and kind of just hung there. Then I tried to help him figure out how to let go so that I could catch him.” Dream sighed, then looked at Nightmare. He all of a sudden hugged Nightmare. “Just…be more careful next time…” Dream said as he hugged Nightmare. “S-sorry…I-I won’t do it again…” Nightmare said as he hugged Dream back.

“A-Anyways,” Blue cleared his throat. “You should probably have a bath before breakfast, since you are, er, well covered in leaves and twigs.” Nightmare looked at his goopy tentacles and realized that they were indeed covered with leaves and twigs from when he was climbing and falling. “Oh! Y-yeah, maybe I should”

“I’ll run the bath!” Dream said as he walked back to the hallway towards the bathroom. Dream thought about what he had said to Nightmare, ‘Be more careful next time….’ He hadn’t added the last part that he’d whispered in his mind.
