Making a jacket I can wear for pride, inspired by the singular ✨Chuck Tingle✨

The color choices were inspired by pride flags. I tried to fit in as many as possible, and I have room on the rest of the jacket to add more in the future. Rather than representing my specific identity I aimed to include as many gender and sexual identities as I could fit. We are all blooming together.

Chuck Tingle’s writing often reminds me to express my joy and creativity out loud, and helps to focus me on creating art through love. I’m so grateful and glad to live in a place where I can celebrate myself and my community. This jacket is an expression of that emotion.

A highlight of my summer- I wore my pride garden jacket to the Camp Damascus book tour, and got my bandana signed! It is now my favorite decoration in my sewing space 💖

i know for a fact i have made this post before but for me it's very important that bbc merlin is a pointless tragedy. it wouldn't be good (it's frequently not good anyway but it would be a lot further away from good) if it wasn't a pointless tragedy! it's simply not arthuriana if it doesn't go past the high point of the heroic/legendary/high medieval romance stuff and end with detailed rundowns of exactly how everybody got betrayed and died like that is what makes it real arthuriana to me and not just a silly show about a wizard

hi do you think sam is normal about the fact that matt died (on what was supposed to be his watch. by the way) and then came back as a fucking catholic priest. like. this guy watched his community get torn apart by a religious leader. aforementioned religious leader told him to kill a guy, got really pissed when he didn't, and threw him and his mom and their entire community under the bus when the beast came to take back its stolen power. he doesn't trust religion. he definitely doesn't trust religious authorities.

and now, you know. his quasi-father died (very nearly by the sword sam was given. by the way.) and came back as a religious authority. he actively works in the catholic church. he's a priest. that has to be uniquely shitty for sam. your dad figure is back from the dead (that you probably should have been there to save him from in the first place) and he's not a lawyer anymore but a guy in the exact same position of authority as the one you became blindspot to work against. the one that tried to make you into a murderer. the one that got your mom killed. oh and he doesn't remember you. crazy.

daily rotations bout my mans, really do appreciate how much of a The People Person kurt was as part of the quiet council, particularly outside the council itself. of all the people on that council he was the most Just Some Guy. even the ppl losing the idgaf war had a buncha bigger responsibilities & weren't often seen just. casually out n about on krakoa, in some cases even rarer off it. kurt's self-assigned responsibility Was just. the people; he concerned himself with people both mutant & non- to, honestly, an at times debilitating degree, so it was basically given that if krakoa wanted to send a face guy to ask for smth re their interests n it wasn't big enough a task for either charles or erik nor the hellfire peeps to drag themselves over, kurt was it. there's smth here bout coming full circle to being a kind of mascot like he was back in jahrmarkt that's honestly more vibe than articulate thought.
