This has been chilling in my mind since I first saw ZivaZivcs comic and I finally got the energy to make it XD

#my art #dreamworks trolls #trolls 3 #trolls band together #john dory #creek trolls #the orange troll is actually a deleted troll from the og movie known as Aspen Heitz #he has green hair in 3d and blue in 2d so i mixed the colors to get the hair i used here #any way #also i used chongos comic as like a reference for the posing and stuff #and like this is what it looks like in the comic but when put into trolls #it lind of looks like Aspen is like comforting his boyfriend creek #and i did not intend for that i just noticed it while coloring and i was like welp #and did not fix it #maybe im just overthinking it #it may just be the closeness due to troll proportions #also the holding hands on the shoulder #but it was in the og so its here too #also i love the scary jd render #whyd they make him so scary ill never know but man does it make for good comedy #i was orginally gonna draw jd too but then when i sketched him he just looked like the render and i was like you know what-#i also thought of using a fake png but that qas too much #so you get real png jd

#this comic ended up feeling so much more somber than i think i originally intended #i hope the conclusion at the end comes off more settled and happy than it does reluctant or disappointed #since i do feel that way. happy that is #its a cliche but returning to your inner child #just making stuff that YOU'D like to see more of #it does wonders for making you feel less like being a creator means giving away parts of yourself #im sorry if this is coming off as preachy #obviously you can do what you like #and im not ever gonna be the wisest person in the room #im barely into my 20s #but i spent almost a year torturing myself over what i wanted to be #deciding to just...do what i thought would be cool ended up being the best possible decision #its 10pm #this series makes me really marinate in my own issues #very pretentious but at this point its my brand #comic art #stillindigo art #stillindigo comics

u know what i like? that tim genuinely likes bruce as a person and batman as a symbol in the purest way

like, dick was saved by bruce and trained by batman to have a code, jason was also saved by bruce and after a million fights understood why family is important, and damian was tought that batman was a powerful thing to want and bruce was a father to respect, they have a baggage they carry with them to their relationship with bruce

but tim? he just likes that batman exists cause he understands bruces vision, and he loves bruce cause he thinks bruce is a good person worth saving and that needs trust, and hes willing to trust him every single time everyone else doesnt, no matter how crazy it may be to trust him or what anyone else says

and that really gets me

#this doesnt have any specific conclusion its just i like tim and bruces dynamic a lot #i love all of them for different reasons but i think tim loves bruce in the simplest way and i think thats neat #i want him to spread his wings (pun intended) and be his own guy but not at the expense of just erasing bruce from his comics #batman #tim drake #ladies. gentlemen. you have eaten well.

I finished it!! As promised, the Jimmy Gets Cursed comic. Except it took more of a turn for "thinking about life and how things can go in a completely different direction than you think they will and you can miss the life you had but still love the one you have" or something. Maybe at some point I'll go back and make a comic going more into detail about this particular curse that Jimmy picked up, because it's probably lingering post the unicorn-cleansing ritual. Oh, and Tango and Jimmy have a unicorn on the ranch, his name is Revenge and he's the sweetest ever.

Also!! The travelling merchants- Scott and Owen Orangejuice!! Scott and Jimmy, as is probably evident, knew each other at one point- and since I don't want to make this caption eternally long I'll save that for another post or maybe an ask for smth idk. But anyways!! You lovelies get Ranchers and Flower Husbands, apparently.

As for the comic- I know this isn't exactly what I said it would be, it's a bit shorter, the pacing isn't perfect, and there's a few big gaps between bits of story but I put too much work into it to not post it so y'all get to have it. Also, despite the fact that the backgrounds are still kind of lacking, I think they're better than they were before. I made some custom brushes for background elements and I built the ranch in minecraft to use as a reference, so some of this is better lol.

Anyways!! Enjoy whatever this is lol :D

For obvious reasons there's a lot of AUs looking at the various "what if"s of Jason's resurrection and return to Gotham going differently, and something I always think of with that is the fact that in the immediate aftermath of Jason's death Bruce removed every picture of him from the Manor and just refused to acknowledge his death at all.

Like, if part of Jason's whole Thing is feeling that his death didn't leave any impact and Bruce didn't really care, this sure wouldn't help change his mind. Even in different circumstances his return would probably be pretty Not Great in terms of emotional fallout.

(Just a microcosm of the fundamental level of Communication Failure Bruce is capable of.)
