reader comes to terms with feelings for her best friend while trying to deal with the disappearance of her brother

Y/N found herself befriending the younger of the Stoll brothers after a prank he had pulled on her only a little after she had arrived at camp. On a morning where her brother had left the cabin early, so she was alone in cabin 3, she found her cabin surrounded by cups of water as she tried to leave. At first she thought she thought this was the dumbest prank to pull on her, after all, she could control water. However, when she tried to empty the cups, the water wouldn't budge. No matter how hard she tried, the cups stayed still, unaffected. She began to panic, wondering if she had somehow lost her powers overnight. So, she grabbed the cup closest to her, just to find that it wasnt water at all, just clear jello.
“Hey, L/N!” she heard called. She looked up to find Connor Stoll standing in front of her, holding a cup identical to the ones that surrounded her, “how’re the water works going?”
She huffed, “Did you two do this?!”
“Actually,” he smiled, “I did this one myself.”
“Good to know,” she watched him take a sip of his cup, “by the way,” she began.
“What?” He asked before his drink was entirely splashed onto his face.
“You're cleaning this up, Stoll.”
Despite her initial annoyance, she had to admit the cleverness of it. She only wished she could find a way to return the favor.
Which she did, as she was somehow able to get Travis on board. During a game of capture the flag, she snuck back to camp and hid in the Hermes cabin, where after the game, while everyone was still celebrating the winning team, Travis would tell Connor they needed to talk in private.
She watched Connor follow behind his brother as they walked in, “dude, is it something serious or like-” Before he could finish, a puddle of water that had been floating above him, poured down like a rainstorm.
“So,” Y/N laughed, walking over to him, “how’re the water works going for you?”
He wiped his eyes, “good one, L/N,” he sarcastically sighed.
She nodded, beginning to walk out of the cabin, “by the way, thanks for the help, Travis!”
“You helped her?!” She could hear Connor exclaim on the other side of the door as she giggled to herself.
The joy of her revenge was short lived though. The day after, she found her older brother to be missing.
She sat on the sandy beach, asking her father for help, but hearing nothing in response. She tried to calm her anxieties by drawing circles in the sand.
“Y/N?” She heard a familiar voice call from behind her.
She took a deep breath before forcing a smile and turning her head, “hey, Stoll.”
“I heard about your brother,” he sat down next to her.
She nodded, “yeah, I’m sure he’s fine, but still…”
He bit his cheek, “you know, if you weren't all upset and everything, I would have totally gotten you back for yesterday.”
She chuckled, “You’d really start a prank war with me?”
“You bet,” he smirked.
“Try me.”
So then on, the only thing that could cheer her up through the months that her brother was missing was the same person who annoyed her most. Or so she said.
“Seems like Annabeth’s pretty stressed about that one shoe boy, huh?” Connor mentioned as they walked through the forest.
“Yeah,” Y/N answered. She didn't want to admit how hopeful she was about the prophecy. She was sure there were lots of demigods who could lose a shoe, gods know she has plenty of times.
“Pretty embarrassing for him though,” he joked, “you get back to camp after months and you're a mess.”
“Connor,” she spoke as she stopped walking.
He paused, “yeah?”
“I know it’s not gonna be my brother,” she added, “I just know. And I really just don't wanna think about it right now.”
He nodded, “oh, sorry,” he awkwardly responded, “but you gotta admit, it’d be embarrassi-”
She grabbed a stick off the ground and poked him in the side, “shut up.”
He raised an eyebrow and grabbed his own stick, “make me.”
“You!” She yelled, trying to stab him with the stick again, but he instead began running.
He ran backwards, looking back at her, “you have to admit, I’m pretty fast.”
“You're such an idiot!”
“What do you mean-” he asked right before slamming his back into a tree.
Y/N cackled as she reached him, “that’s what I mean,” she smirked, poking him with the stick.
“Kick me while I’m down, that’s real nice.”
She smiled and helped pull him up. She lingered her grip on his hand for a little too long before letting go, but she noticed his hand not even budge enclosed in her fingers. They both awkwardly stayed silent for a moment, feeling like there was something on the tip of their tongues that they both wanted to say.
“Y/N!” Annabeth’s voice rang through the forest. Annabeht stopped as she stared at the two of them, “Y/N, he’s here, come on.”
Y/N nodded, “right,” she began walking towards Annabeth, “see you later, Connor,” she waved.
He stood still for a moment, “bye.”
She walked alongside Annabeth, trying to shake the feeling in her chest.
“Let me get this straight,” Connor questioned. He was in the middle of training with Y/N when she told him about the plan, “you’re going to the Roman camp with Annabeth, Jason, Piper, and Leo?”
She nodded, resting her sword down, “yeah.”
He shook his head, “you can't just go like that, L/N.”
“What?” She breathily laughed, not believing what he had just said, “it’s my brother, I have to go with them.”
He ran his fingers through his hair, “but that’s- what am I supposed to do with that?”
“You have friends other than me,” she replied, “this isn't about you, Connor.”
He sat down on a nearby bench, “I know but…”
She sat next to him, “but?”
“Y/N,” he egan, “I’ve been really wanting to tell you something and I can’t yet.”
She nudged his shoulder, “you're my best friend, Connor. Come on, hit me.”
He sighed, “you're really going?”
“Yes,” she muttered, “now, will you just tell me?”
He stood up, “can we talk somewhere else?”
“Alright,” she obliged. He suddenly grabbed her hand and led her away. She might’ve said something if she didn't enjoy the feeling of his hand in hers so damn much. When he walked into her empty cabin she knew whatever he had to say was important.
He hesitantly let go of her hand, “Y/N, I- uhm- I really, really like you,” he whispered, “I get that you have a lot going on right now, but-”
She smirked, grabbing his face and kissing his lips. She couldn't tell how long this went on. All she knew was that he immediately relaxed into the kiss, his hands finding her waist to pull her closer to him. She knew that she could feel his lips curled into a smile that mirrored her own.
When they pulled away, their faces were still only centimeters apart and a trail of saliva reached between their lips, “I kinda like you too, Stoll.”
He just smiled even more, quickly pulling her into another kiss.

Something's Wrong.
The day had been as normal as it had ever been for Mikey. He'd been up all night, at six in the morning he made coffee so it would be fresh for his girlfriend when she woke up, and gave her sleeping face the most gentle of kisses before he left to deal with Bonten business.
Every morning was the same routine. A sleep deprived man wandering around the house with his own dark and gloomy aura in the cozy atmosphere a woman worked hard to make. As if someone had turned all the serene feelings into an air freshener and the sun was bathing everything in a caramel layer. Too early to wake anyone up, and too late for him to go to bed. All the same, he was calm and liked how he clashed with his girlfriends vision for the house.
Despite the normalcy of the morning, that carried lightly to noon, Mikey felt....well it wasn't uneasy, he lacked the ability to feel uneasy anymore, but maybe off. Wrong, that's the closest he could describe it to himself. Uncomfortable, but not enough that it bothered him more than a simple thought now and then. Mikey ran through his routine once more. Watch the sun rise, brew coffee, kiss Y/n's head, leave without waking her up. He hadn't missed a step, not a single speck of dust was left out of his movements. Was it because he hadn't made the same amount of coffee as he did the previous day? Or maybe it was off because he had kissed Y/n's cheek and not her forehead as he always opted to do? Mikey didn't have the time nor energy to think about it and analyze the little details until it made sense.
Ran yanked his gun back, upset that his holster had been broken (Rindou didn't care as much because the plastic was started to become tacky and clash with his brothers suits). Sanzu, who was constantly wanting to do Mikey's bidding, was keeping his cohorts away from his kings woman.
And he didn't have to. It was afternoon, twenty minutes past time for the girl to be knocking. Y/n always brought him dinner, she knew he wouldn't be home until well after and she wanted to be sure he at least had food to eat. But, she had yet to knock softly on the door to the filled meeting room, had yet to grace the room with her sweet smile and soft voice telling everyone hello as she made her way to Mikey's side where he would watch her from the side of his eye as she took the small lunchbox from her bag and set it in front of him. She was predictable, and to others it was painful how she always did the same things in the same order at the same times. Today was different.
The whole room went silent as she slammed through the door, a very overt expression of fear etched into her face as she jerked on Ran's gun. The plastic holster cracked and busted when she pulled, freeing the smaller weapon so she could turn and hold the door open with her shoulder. Mikey hadn't moved, he was curious as to what was going on. Why was his sweet girl so afraid? What did she need to take a gun for? Both questions he was sure would be answered when his men rushed Y/n, a little too late. She'd aimed, as Mikey had taught her to, and fired with her eyes closed. Only then did the room register all the yells and the terrified screams coming from the open office space.
"Back! Get back!" Sanzu yelled, one hand moving to cover Y/n's eyes, "Get away from her! I'll gut you both!" And yet, Rindou wasn't phased, "Shut up, Sanzu! She just killed one of our guys!"
"Sanzu-san?" Her pathetic whisper made him want to slap her up the side of her head. How could she sound so scared after pulling the trigger so easily? "Walk me to Mikey, please?" And finally he knew there was one thing he had to force himself to do for Mikey. He didn't like the girl, how pathetic and weak she was, and he failed to understand why his boss was so enthralled by her. Was it her scent? She did have an enticing perfume on.
The pink haired male was busy glaring at the brothers as Y/n reached up to grab his slender fingers, "I don't care if she was holding a damn knife to your throat! Get back!"
Mikey had his hand out as Sanzu walked the weakling to him, disgust turning his gut as she fell into him. Against his wishes, Sanzu did like the pathetic woman before him. Like Mikey, Sanzu was trapped by the sweet and innocent nature the woman held for men like them. She should've shot every one of those men around her.
"Mikey." Her sobs would've clutched the leaders heart if he had heard them years earlier, but now Mikey could only nod and sigh to her. "It's alright, baby. Tell me what happened." It wasn't a question he asked because he cared, he just had to know because it happened in his organization. How would he tell the others anything if he didn't know?
"He was beating her, Mikey...I couldn't just watch..." Her whimpers almost made Mikey want to stop questioning her. Almost.
"The man, he was hurting one of the ladies." Y/n still didn't open her eyes, waiting for the order from Mikey that it was okay. He'd told her when he taught her to shoot; aim, but the second you pull the trigger you better close your eyes. She wasn't one to disobey.
Instead, he sighed and pulled her shaking body into his lap. She reminded him of a shaking kitten, one that had been left in the rain or had been kicked around. "You don't have to defend the wh-" Mikey paused before he said whores, Y/n didn't like when they all called the ladies an awful thing like that, "The ladies. She was probably getting a punishment for something."
"No!" She protested quickly and loudly, dissipating any thought of a mistreated kitten Mikey had, "They don't deserve to be treated so wrongly when they're doing such a disturbing job."
"They chose this job." Mikey wiped his thumbs over her eyes, watching as she slowly opened them. If there was nothing else he was capable of loving about her, it was her eyes. The way the colors mixed and molded together, and he was given the privilege to be so close that he could see the way heaven rested in them. She had angels in the tiniest flecks of color around her pupils, and he could see the devil himself reflected in them. "They knew the risks when they came to work here."
"It's wrong, Mikey." She scolded him, tears in her eyes as he tried to justify such horrible treatment, "No one should be treated the way that woman was."
Ran stomped in, anger sewn into his brows, "Well, the whores dead, too. He killed her before the Missus could shoot." Rindou was right behind him, "One less person to pay."
Mikey chuckled when Y/n's face fell, the desperation in her eyes was funny to him. Had she truly expected a good deed to be rewarded? "Go home. Let me handle this situation and I'll deal with you when I get home." Mikey pushed her off him, "Sanzu, walk her past it. Don't let her see anything."
"Of course, Mikey." Sanzu carefully placed his fingers over Y/n's eyes, leading her, a little too quickly for her liking, past the scene. He stopped, indulging himself for a brief second and whispering in her ear, "Would you like to see? My first murder was beautiful. This one isn't, but it's still good. You have magnificent aim. Though, you were taught by the Invincible Mikey."
He didn't expect her to harden herself to him, after years of being nothing but sweet and welcoming. Such a harsh voice, "Do as you're told, Sanzu-san."
In reality, she hadn't wanted to be so harsh with the man. No matter how mean or upsetting to her Sanzu had been, she wasn't worried about it. He was and always would be Sanzu-san, she liked him, in only the way you can like someone who's rude by nature. The lady died from her punishment, and Y/n punished the man by the same fate, and Mikey would be punishing her when he returned home that night. Sanzu didn't need to be part of that fucked up train simply because he couldn't control himself. Y/n just wanted to save him the trouble.
Y/n paced the empty house. One would think that with Mikey having a ton of money from running Bonten, that he would want some huge house. But no. He was a more nostalgic person than even he was aware, and continued to live in his childhood home. All the old photos still hung on the wall. Emma and him, the two younger kids with his older brother and even pictures of their grandpa and grandma. It didn't bother Y/n that Mikey wouldn't let her move them or even add new photos, she understood that Mikey needed something to keep him grounded to earth, and it was fine that it wasn't her. She knew she wasn't strong enough to keep his mind right, no one was, and no one could even hope to fix him.
"Y/n." Mikey's voice was followed by the front door opening. She'd stopped pacing hours before, opting to sit in the kitchen where she would be seen the second he peeked in. And he did.
"You upset quite some people today." He muttered, walking across the small kitchen to grab a coffee mug. Each step was deliberately silent, almost scary in a sense, "What do you think?"
And if the gods would've reached down and dragged her away, would she protest? She knew she was going to be punished. Would she die willingly to avoid it?
"I did what I thought I needed to. I wanted to help that woman." Y/n whispered, wringing her hands in her lap as she struggled to come to grips with what would happen.
"And you failed anyway."
It was a harsh thing to hear. She had failed, and she killed a man. She killed one of Mikey's men.
Mikey tapped her under chin, hard enough that a slight sting echoed across her skin, "You killed a man today in the attempt to save a whore. A whore who died anyway. I won't make you suffer any more than that knowledge is going to make you already. Buy Ran a new holster for his belt so I don't have to hear about it, okay."

Halloween with the Siblinks
Hey fam, I've been working on the next update and I wanted to post it yesterday for Halloween BUT I'm not quite finished with it yet.
So, instead, have some headcannons of what what I think Halloween would be like for Audrey and Bendy (in both forms) and a rough draft/outline of a scene for their very first one.
Btw, I would love to hear anyone else's headcannons/ideas about what any of the siblinks' Halloweens would be like so feel free to respond/reblog this post with your ideas and/or tag me in any posts that you make yourself :)
For their first Halloween together, I think Audrey would play it safe and plan on the two of them staying home together. She explained the whole holiday to Bendy and he was intrigued (Ink Demon form) and very, very, very excited (toon form) about the whole thing. He wanted to go trick-or-treating but after a few arguments he settled for just giving candy out to people and letting them see him in "costume". Audrey would have been more comfortable just hiding away and setting a bowl of candy outside the door but he gave her puppy-dog eyes and she couldn't say no.
At first, she didn't want to decorate to deter people from coming but realized how out-of-place Bendy would look answering the door to a normal apartment, so she goes all-out with the decorations. Obviously, they carve pumpkins (with Bendy's cartoon as the theme).
During the days building up to the holiday, Audrey talks about Halloween and tells him stories of her experience with it. Joey was too old to take Audrey trick-or-treating (plus, he wanted to keep her existence on the down-low) but he bought her lots of candy each year and she would help him pass it out. At one point, she told a story about a group of teenagers that showed up and took almost all of the candy they had and they ended up running out of treats to pass out super early. Both her and Joey were upset by this and he would talk about it every year after that, so she made a promise to herself to always buy extra candy so they wouldn't run out. She says offhandedly about how she believes teenagers should leave the candy/trick-or-treating to the kids, forgetting once again how Bendy takes everything literally the first time he hears it.
Anyways, the day before Halloween, Audrey is super stressed and has everything prepared in advance (and has had it prepared for weeks). Bowl of candy is filled with backup bags stored in the kitchen, and her costume is nicely laid out so she can jump into it right after work (she dressed as Alice Angel or some cartoon character to fit the theme). She also sets a chair by the door as a plan B just in case she gets caught up at work so that he can just set the candy outside the door.
She goes over the plan/what trick-or-treating will look like to Bendy. She'll do the talking, he'll hold out the bowl, then they'll go back to watching a scary movie together.
However, she forgets to mention her plan B.
Halloween happens and Audrey gets caught up at work. She is really, really sad about it but knew it was a possibility. She's still working on setting healthy working boundaries with her boss/coworkers but at least she gets paid overtime now.
When she gets home, late, she finds the chair exactly where she left it before and all of the candy she bought is gone.
Bendy is in his Ink Demon form, sprawled out on the couch and watching a horror movie. There's a half-full pillowcase of something on the floor next to him and several empty bags scattered on the floor but Audrey doesn't notice them at first.
Audrey: "Bendy! Did you eat all the candy I bought? That was for the kids!"
Bendy, glances at Audrey once before looking back to the TV, clearly unbothered by her anger.
Audrey storms over to the TV and turns it off.
Bendy jumps up with a challenging hiss and goes to turn it back on but she blocks him. Insert tense moment where they're boths staring at eachother, neither backing down.
Finally, Bendy basically asks, WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?! but imagine it with spookier, more eloquent words.
Audrey: "You ate all the Halloween candy."
Bendy: I DID NOT!
Audrey: "Then where is it?!"
Our inky demon boy stomps over to the pillowcase, picks it up and, in true asshole fashion, dumps its contents over Audrey's head.
Candy spills out of it, and Audrey is now surrounded by a ring of assorted types of candy. To her growing horror and surprise, she notices a lot of the candy is definitely different from the type(s) she bought at the store.
Audrey, no longer angry, just scared: Where did you get this?
Bendy: FROM THOSE WHO SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN OUT TONIGHT.
With some interrogation, Audrey decodes the Ink Demon's cryptic yet blunt answers and confirms that he did not set the bowl outside the door. Instead, he answered the door himself, switching between his Ink Demon for and his toon form depending on who was outside the door.
At some point, he was running low on candy (he was passing it out in handfuls) and began to panic. However, the next group of people that came to their door was a group of rowdy teenagers and he overheard them making fun of their decorations.
Bendy is now pissed and remembers what Audrey told him about teenagers and how candy should go to kids instead.
So, when they open the door, he pulls a Grunkle Stan and jumpscares them. They all scream and run off, leaving their bags of candy behind.
He didn't expect that but isn't going to just leave free food/candy lying around, so he takes it inside.
When he runs out of Audrey's candy, he starts giving that candy out instead. Whenever he inevitably started running low on candy, he would wait for a group of teenagers to stop by and jumpscare/steal their candy to give out to the little kids. The idea of just giving less candy out to each group of kiddos never passed his mind.
Audrey is horrified (and a little impressed) and fully expects someone to report them and for the police or the Gent Corporation to show up and cart them away. She quickly takes down their decorations and starts preparing for a hasty getaway when someone inevitably shows up to investigate the appearance of the demon in her apartment.
Except, they don't.
A few days pass by and she still hasn't heard from either group. However, she has heard from her neighbors.
Everyone had something to say about her brother(s)* presentation. She gets mixed reviews (all the ones that got Toon Bendy loved it but some of the ones who got the Ink Demon thought they went a little overboard) but overall most people were very impressed.
She debates relaying this to Bendy because she doesn't want him to get too cocky but decides it would be wrong to keep it from him. Sure enough, Ink Demon Bendy is hyped and is now thinking of other ways to scare people next year and Toon Bendy is just excited to see more people. In both forms he is very disappointed to learn that Halloween only happens once a year/every 365 days.
*Everyone assumed Toon Bendy was her little brother but some people were arguing on whether the Ink Demon was her brother, friend, or even boyfriend. She VERY quickly shot down the third option. Now everyone assumes she has a little brother that lives with her full-time and an older brother that stops by every once in a while.
Disclaimer, personally, I have nothing against teenagers trick-or-treating and kept going out with my little sister until her senior year of High School. I just thought it would be funny if Bendy stole candy from kids/teenagers and figured this would be a good excuse for him to do so lol

Tumblr media
Ever since the party, Yuta has been frustrated. You had been avoiding him and his texts. He knew it was a game, and yet he wanted more. Especially when he saw you last week dancing in the club. You were dancing alone, looking him in the eyes as the rhythm of the music overtook your body. He wanted to dance with you. However, as he was walking towards you, another man swooped in, and you accepted. As Yuta watches from the crowd dancing with some random ass girl, he isn't interested in watching you as you smile wickedly at him. Taunting him in this game because he knows once he gets close, you'll leave just like that. Yuta leaves the club as Lisa calls him, asking where he is. But that was last week. Tonight was a different story. Instead of coming home to Lisa and her usual "Hey. How was your day?" And a kiss on the cheek. He came home to an upset Lisa who had a suitcase.
"What's all this?" Yuta asks, confused as Lisa wipes her tears. Her eyes were slightly red as if she were crying for hours.
"I'm leaving. Yuta, I can't do this, " Lisa says as she gets up and rolls her suitcase, but Yuta stops her.
"What are you-"
"I know you're cheating,"
Yuta freezes but acts normal on the outside. But inside something was telling him no. The guilt rushed in, and the fear of losing Lisa spiraled.
"What? Cheating? Where did you get that?"
"Oh? Yuta, you don't talk to me! You're partying with Mark. You don't take me on dates! It's like I'm living with you but you just ignore me like I'm not even there" Lisa exclaims she was frustrated with him and though she didn't have proof she knows Yuta was in Y/n's hands. That hurt her even more wondering if he was seeing that evil bitch.
"I just have a lot going on. Just because I'm not making time with you doesn't mean I'm Cheating. Also, you could come to meet me or go to parties with me" Yuta defends. Though he was guilty of cheating he didn't want to lose Lisa altogether. So he bothered not even telling the truth.
"Or you can stop going altogether" Lisa snaps having Yuta taken aback.
"What?"
"Oh come on Yuta I know you went to parties to see her!" Lisa yelled, making Yuta surprised as he calmed down on the inside. Why and how was she watching him? Well, he knew the Why part. Ever since Y/n answered his phone that day Lisa had been clinging to him. Asking him where he was going. Who he was going to be with? When will he be home? Or tell him to come home early. But Yuta hadn't known the real conversation that transpired between Lisa and Y/n.
"What are you talking about? I go to parties to relax," Yuta says as Lisa just scoffs. Her jealousy and insecurities showed.
"Yeah right. Y/n is just magically at the party and you don't see her right?!"
"No! Of course, I don't!" Yuta yells feeling frustrated. Why couldn't Lisa let it go? He thought.
"You wanna know why I'm so stressed? Why do I go out every other weekend to party? Because of you! Lisa for the past two months you've been nagging me! Then I'm working on top of getting a degree. Do you think classes are easy?"
"No but-
"Listen. I'm not looking for Y/n or anyone else if that's what you think. I appreciate you and everything you do for me. Now please can we stop fighting? Put your stuff back" Yuta says as Lisa did what she said not willing to argue about it. She loved Yuta and trusted him. She felt stupid of course Yuta wouldn't cheat. Yuta on the other hand was glad she pressed further. Though he hasn't done anything for a month that doesn't mean he was innocent. The worst part is he knows it, he knows that if she found out the whole truth she'd leave him.
Lisa looks at Yuta and he looks back at her. The next thing the two know is that their living room was a mess and they somehow ended up in the bedroom kissing. Yuta didn't know if it was because he was so frustrated but he realized he missed you, no Lisa. He had forgotten how her lips tasted and how her voice sounded when she moaned his name. Even how she touched him. But it wasn't the same his mind kept comparing her to you.
"W-wait stop stop stop" Yuta pushes himself off Lisa as she looks at him confused.
"I-I have a long day tomorrow. Especially in class-
"See this is what I'm talking about Yuta! You won't have sex with me now!"
"I told you I'm just not in the mood tonight. I'll be busy in the morning, is that what you want?"
"No! But it's never stopped us before! Yuta I just want to touch you, babe, please...I want you to make love to me" Lisa whispered in his ear as Yuta nodded. He knows if he brushed her off now she'll never be satisfied. As they continued what they were doing, Lisa started working on his clothes. Yuta hisses as he feels his girlfriend's cold hands run down his chest and works at his belt. By the time the pair were ready, Yuta realized he needed protection. Lisa wasn't on the pill he would know because she would tell him before she had gotten one.
"I need a Condom-
"Yuta it's fine I'm on the pill," Lisa says but Yuta doesn't listen and he goes to get one.
As the two were having sex Yuta didn't feel the same, his mind was going back to you. To a point where he was imagining it was you under him screaming his name while making you feel good. Meanwhile, Lisa felt the pleasure that she was craving this whole time she knew something was different he was rougher and going faster. He's never done that with her before but she wasn't complaining.
"Say my name" Yuta heard you say but he doesn't say anything, feels himself almost coming apart. He didn't say anything because he was afraid of saying your name loud and clear. Once everything was said and done Yuta of course helped clean everything up but also waited until she fell asleep. He waited so that he could slip out and go to Mark's place.
Hearing the desperate knocking on the door Mark swings it open to reveal a disheveled Yuta.
"Bro it's 1 am Why are you here?" Mark asks but he doesn't let Yuta in.
"Because you have hard liquor I can get for free," Yuta says trying to come in but Mark doesn't let him. Now he's even more concerned as to what transpired between Yuta and Lisa. If Mark wasn't mistaken Yuta went home.
"Okay, do you wanna go out? I can put on my stuff and-
"Nah I just wanna come in ooh we can watch Netflix now too" Yuta smiles but Mark looks at him nervously.
"Yuta, man my apartment is real messy why don't we just go out and I'll drop you off at home," Mark says and it was that moment
"What, do you have a girl or something? If so tell her to leave I need to vent" Yuta says
"Well yes, but I-
"Oh relax you've told your hookups to leave before why is this any different" Yuta brushed past Mark walks into his apartment his place was spick and span. He started heading to Mark's room but he let him in and nothing. But the guest room.
"YUTA!" Mark screams as Yuta turns around to look at him.
"Why are you so scared? Are you that embarrassed of me seeing you hook up? Is there something you want to talk about, are you gay Mark? Because you know I full except you"
"No. Look I love you man but if you can't respect me or my privacy get the fuck out" Mark told him which hit Yuta real hard to him Mark scolding him was new.
"Sorry man alright if you don't want me here I'll go," Yuta tells him as he's heading for the door he'll just go back home and think about things by himself. Mark felt guilty all Yuta wanted was to vent and here he was pushing him out.
"Shit! Yuta wait! I'm sorry you can stay but you gotta keep it down-
"Mark it's one in the fucking morning who can you be talk- Oh shit" Mark mentally curses as he sees Y/n walking out of the guest bedroom. Yuta looked at you, his eyes weren't deceiving him, it was you. You were wearing nothing but a button-up and a bonnet. No shorts or anything.
"Yuta listen it's NOT what you think"
"I'm fine. I don't care" Yuta says calmly and rationally. Though he did have questions like why were you here? How long have you been here? Were you sleeping with Mark too?
"Look if yall wanna hang out cool this is not my place but Mark please keep it down," you say Feeling Yuta's eyes on you. You weren't going to explain anything to him, just let Mark handle it.
"Y/n can you please explain to Yuta that it's not what it looks like?"
"No. Why should I? It's your house. Besides we're not together I have nothing to explain" you snap trying not to smile knowing you're eating away at Yuta.
"Mark like I said I don't care if you're fucking or dating I have Lisa. Besides I just came over to say something but I think I'll go Lisa would be worried"
"Yeah, you should. She certainly will be. She doesn't want me to fuck her boyfriend"
"Like I would ever fuck you" Yuta laughs at you and you smirk. Trying to deny what he already did.
"Oh, you didn't say that the last time" Yuta hitches his breath as he realized how close you were. "If I could recall you couldn't keep your hands off me. You wanted to fuck my brains out. Remember Yuta?" As you had gotten close to Yuta he could smell the intoxicating smell of your perfume. As your body came closer and sent him driving he wanted to kiss you. Yuta leans over to kiss you but before he could you curved him and went to his ear.
"If you think I'm gonna sleep with you when you smell like her you're wrong," you say, pushing him away from you. The tone sent shivers down his spine the way you said it. As Yuta watches your figure disappear off into the room and the door closes. How did she know? Yuta asked himself, hearing you lock the door.
"Dude you got fucking issues," Mark says snapping Yuta out of his trance of you. Yuta then decides to have Mark go out for a drive around town. He explains that Y/n was at his place because two weeks ago some pipes in her house broke and they were doing maintenance on it so it'll be a month before she could go back home. He then explained while she was here she's been respectful and hasn't brought any guys home which Mark is thankful for. Sometimes she even cooks for him. Then Yuta explained his situation to Lisa. From the cheating conversation to the sex conversation.
"Wait wait- dude that should've been the time to tell her the truth!" Mark hits Yuta's arms
"I know! I know... But I feel bad. I just can't let her go" Yuta sighs letting out a huff in frustration. He combs through his hair thinking of you.
"Meanwhile you want to fuck Y/n right?" Mark looks at Yuta giving him the 'you stupid bitch' look. As Yuta falls silent, Mark was right he was being stupid though he didn't say it.
"Look, you're getting too messy. You better decide on who and what you want or things will get ugly" Yuta sighs Mark was right again. But he honestly doesn't know how to let go. He's greedy and he knows it. He wants a relationship he likes Lisa however he doesn't know if he can let her go. Yuta ends up staying the night before he goes to bed he texts Lisa making up a good excuse. He needed to clear his head and get some sleep.
The next morning he woke up to the smell of your cooking and the soft humming. He opens his eyes, stretching his arms before sitting up. He watches you move around the kitchen, your hair tied back with a headscarf. You wore a very oversized T-shirt making his mind wander off. Once again he was tempted to walk over knowing he should put on his shirt and leave.
"Good morning" Yuta greets you snaking his arms around you from behind. You smile at him, allowing him to rest his head on your shoulder.
"I missed you Yuta"
"Oh really?"
"You think I don't mean it?"
"Not with that tone" Yuta states caressing your sides. The two of you rocking back as you finish the first batch of bacon.
"What tone?" You move from his grasp moving to the table.
"You know which one?" Yuta leans into you, placing a small kiss on your neck. Trying not to form a smile you move away from him.
"I don't know Yuta, why don't you tell me?" Yuta grabs your chin forcing you to look into his eyes. He looks into yours as well. They were filled with nothing but lust.
"You know exactly which face. Trying to play innocent when you're nothing but a slut" his thumb ghosts over your plump lips wondering if they were soft or how they tasted.
"Yuta-
"Can I?" He asks the pad of his thumb on the bottom lip you nod but he needs verbal consent.
"Say it."
"Yes kiss me please" Yuta's lips automatically go onto yours. It was like lightning shooting through your bodies. Your hands go everywhere from his chest to his neck and his hair. Yuta's hands wandered from your breasts to your ass and your thighs. From there he picks you up, placing you on the table. Both of you moan as you wrap your legs around him pulling him closer. Your hips dry humping against his bulge. Yuta has you lying on the table pushing your shirt up. His lips going to your breast sucking and biting on one tit and palming the other. You moan as he licks down your stomach before pulling down your shorts and panties.
"You're so fucking pretty for me" Before he could go down the two of you hear yelling.
"Yo what the fuck-
The two of you look at Mark in shock quickly getting up and off the table. You pull your bottoms back up and Yuta finds his shirt from the floor putting it back on. Not a moment later the smoke alarms start blaring. You then remember the stove was still on. Yuta cuts it off as you try to fan the smoke away.
You and Yuta sit on the couch as Mark paces around. Yuta felt a bit of shame about what he was going to do to you if Mark hadn't come in.
"Alright Y/n you have a new rule. Don't fuck Yuta in my apartment got it?"
"I mean~ it's not my fault Yuta can't keep his hands to himself" Yuta looks at you he wants to say something back but he stops himself.
"I don't care if it's you or him. Do not fuck in my apartment. Actually move over both of you are too close for me"
"That's what you call close? I can be closer Yuta wouldn't mind me on his lap right Yuta" that tone rang through his ears. The way you say his name sounds like honey dripping from your tongue. You were bad for him and he knows that, but he can't pull away. Like a drug addict, he was addicted.
"Oh hell no. Stop distracting him. Look! I don't care if you two are hooking up. I gave my advice just don't bring your mess into my apartment if you wanna fuck? Go ahead but not here. That's my boundary don't cross it or so help me God Y/n you will be on the street" Your whole body became stiff understanding what Mark said. You then stand up walking up to Mark.
"Alright, I'm sorry. It won't happen again" Yuta and Mark look in awe this was the first time he's heard you talk so sincerely. Usually, you're nonchalant or laughing while apologizing.
"Well, I'm going to go to my room let me know when he leaves" You go into your room and as soon as the door closes Mark looks at Yuta.
"What?"
"What?! Come on in my kitchen? Is she that fucking good to have your head messed up? And what are you going to explain to Lisa?!"
"Don't worry I texted her and told her that you needed me to meet with you and I slept over" Mark looked at Yuta like he was dumb. He was stunned to make words come out of his lips. Here he was thinking his friend felt remorse for cheating. Here he thought Yuta was in love with his girlfriend and was trying to fix his relationship. The truth was there in plain sight to see.
"Okay. This is the LAST time I'm helping you. Get your shit together." Mark uses a firm tone as Yuta says quietly sinking into the couch.
"You can cheat all you want. You can go back home to Lisa. Just leave me out of your mess. Don't come to me when it blows up in your face. Don't worry though I won't tell Lisa anything it's all on you or Y/n. Now get your shit and get out of here" Mark's words hurt Yuta deeply. Of course Mark wasn't going to help him and it wasn't fair for him to help build a lie Yuta understood that. So with those last words Yuta left Mark's place.
Old habits die hard and for Yuta you were a nasty one. While staying with Mark, you and Yuta exchanged numbers. From texts to calls to sneaking in the middle of the night to fuck in his car. Sure it was cramped but he didn't care. Then when your house was fixed he went over to your place a lot and he had to do a lot of tip toeing around Lisa. In the day time he'd take her out on small dates when she didn't have to work. Or on Sunday when she was off they'd spend the whole day talking. The days that he did spend with you was utter bliss. Last Thursday he took you to an arcade. The two of you competed over who could get the most points. You played the whole afternoon and into the night. By the end of it Yuta ran out of money but it was worth it as he got you one of those big prizes. He remembered how you smiled as all his points went to you. It was nice seeing you outside if the two of you were having sex. That wasn't the last outing you had together either. He took you to museums, cafes, a karaoke bar, fancy restaurants, and bowling. But that didn't stop there either, next thing he knew he was confiding in you. Leaving his things at your place.
Yuta was in his apartment just getting ready to meet up with you. When suddenly he hears knocks at the door, when he opens he immediately pulls you inside. He pulls you in for a quick kiss, smiling.
"Welcome to my home"
"Oh this is nice. Let me guess Lisa did all this?"
"Yeah she redid it when she moved here" Yuta looks around awkwardly. Of course you'd have questions if you'd never been to his place before now. He watched as you looked around the room. There were pictures of Lisa everywhere which made Yuta feel embarrassed.
"You know we could've done this at my place we still can" you suggest
"I know I just thought it would be perfect since Lisa isn't here...we could, you know, have an easier time," he explains, pulling your waist towards him.
"I'm not here to fulfill your girlfriend's shadow Yuta"
"I don't want that...I just want you" Yuta whispers, pulling you closer as he looks at your eyes. He could smell your perfume on you and your hair was different today it was in a more natural state. Honestly he preferred it that way those tight coils coming together amazed him.
"Yuta?"
"Huh?"
"You're staring at me"
"So? I thought you liked me looking"
"I do. But-
"Shh let me stare at my pretty girl" he coos as you pull him into a kiss. Immediately responding Yuta brings his tongue into your mouth. Feeling your tongue wrap around his, the only thought running is how your tongue wraps around his dick. Your hands go straight to his hair and the choppy back of his neck pulls him into a deeper kiss. When the two of you pull away you drag Yuta to the couch.
"Watch me" you say as you take off your jacket, pulling up your shirt slowly. Yuta looks at you as you slowly pull down your jeans revealing a nice navy blue lingerie set.
"Fuck"
"You like it?"
"Turn around for me" you obliged slowly turning your hips to give him a nice view of your ass. Yuta reaches out but you feel his presence behind you so you quickly swatted his hands away.
"Don't touch me until I say so" Yuta's eyes darken as you walk over to your purse pulling out three pieces of fabric. When you go back to Yuta you put on this garter belt. Then you bent over stepping into some black lace stocking. Yuta just stared at you holding back the urge to jump you right there.
"I'll be going back to the bathroom for a bit" you say walking away and when you disappear from his sight Yuta lets out a groan in frustration. Yuta closed his eyes, picturing you again. How you pulled up these socks then he started thinking about your ass. How he wanted nothing more to grab it and bend you over this very couch. He wanted to see your thick thighs shake as he fucks you from behind. How he'd pull you by your hair as he pounds into from the back. Imagine you screaming for him as you ride him with the garter and the socks on. When you came back Yuta was there glaring at you bringing his index and middle finger up to curl them back and forth signaling you to come over.
"Sit on my lap Y/n" You smirk simply doing as you were told as you sit right on his lap. Yuta immediately wraps his arms around you.
"You are so fucking pretty" he says kissing your neck. His hands rub up and down your thighs. You could feel how hard he was behind you, his bulge pressing against you. It made you excited to see how turned on he was for you.
"Yuta-
"How are you so wet baby?" He asks, teasing you, rubbing his fingers over your panties. Pushing into the lace making it more damp with your slick.
"Hmm? We barely started and you're already soaked. Tell me how?"
"Yuta please" you whine squirming under him, your hips pushing up begging for him to touch you.
"Answer me baby. Did you touch yourself in that bathroom? Couldn't wait for me? Hmm?" You whine as he pushes your panties against your folds. You did go to the bathroom to touch yourself but you weren't going to admit that as it was a failure. You couldn't cun you needed more.
"Come on what happened to my good girl? Do you want me to punish you baby? Have you not cum at all tonight?" Yuta grabs your breasts and shoves his fingers inside you. You moan in satisfaction as he brings them in and out your hole.
"I did!"
"What baby?"
"I touched myself in the bathroom" you let out as Yuta smirks thinking of ways he was going to break you. His fingers didn't stop moving however while they were inside you they curled inside of you. You were a mess on him, your head was tilted back resting on his shoulders. Until he had an idea.
"Ride my thigh" he whispers but you didn't hear him at first so he decided to play with your clit more. It wasn't until he knew you were close that he pulled his fingers out making you whine.
"Ride my thigh for me baby then you can cum" he promises tapping his left thigh. As soon as you get onto his thighs Yuta grabs your waist on both sides. At first he lets you move on your own. You close your eyes feeling your stomach tighten as your lips brush against the Jean material. You hold onto Yuta for support holding onto his chest. Yuta groans, feeling you soak up his jeans, but you were going too slow for his liking.
"Go faster baby" you let out a whine when Yuta smacks your ass. You go faster as he instructed until he started gripping your waist harder, pushing and pulling your hips. Yuta comments on how wet you are. How he can't wait to fuck you.
"I'm- I-" you were out of breath but Yuta knew what you meant.
"Cum for me Y/n" and you did your thighs shaking as you cum on his jeans. Yuta rubs your back as you cry against him. Once you calmed down Yuta had more ideas. As he was still hard watching you get off was the hottest thing he's seen and he wants to see it again. Yuta pulls you into another kiss this time more sloppy than the last one. You broke the kiss getting off his lap and onto your knees. Yuta begins unbuttoning his pants and zipping his fly down. You help him pull down his pants and underwear making his cock spring out. He was so hard his tip was even leaking with pre cum. Yuta groans as you wrap your hands around his cock and stroking it slowly. Yuta looks at you with your pretty hand with your blue nails going up and down his shaft.
"F-fuck Y/n just like that" Yuta let's out as you take him into your mouth. Your pretty thick lips making his dick disappear down your warm wet throat always had an affect on him. His hands went to your hair pulling in it gently, your tongue swirling around his dick as Yuta groans. He closed his eyes imagining how you'd look in 69 position. In his bed eating you out while you do the same for him. Wanted nothing more than to taste your juices licking your cunt making you whine against him sending vibrations onto his cock. Yuta started grabbing your hair tighter as you sucked harder and faster, his hips moving against your mouth. It wasn't until he let out a broken moan and thrusted a little too roughly as he heard you gagged. He opened his eyes immediately.
"Shit! Are you okay? Baby im- ohhh fuck!" Yuta didn't even finish as you went back to sucking him off this time taking him deeper into your mouth.
"What a pretty slut you are. Taking my cock so well baby" he cooed as tears started to form up. Yuta was so close he just needed a little more to get on the edge. He takes your hand and places it on his balls. Making you fondle and play with him.
"Here- baby play with- ohh fuck yes you're so good at sucking dick- f-fuck!" You almost pulled off of him taking your free hand and stroking his shaft again while sucking tip before moving your hand and taking him into his mouth. Yuta cums into your mouth fucking it into you as he releases. You moaned at the salty taste, swallowing every drop of it.
"How was it?" You ask Yuta who is a panting mess as he laughs at you breathlessly.
You don't remember how you got here but sometimes your clothes were discarded and you were now bent over Yuta's table. Your thighs soaked with lubricant as Yuta stood behind you kissing down your spine. His hands meanwhile were kneading your ass and your cunt. He was getting ready to fuck you from behind but he wanted to play with your body like it was his toy. You were shaking and whining as you felt his cock rubbing between your thick thighs to your wet folds. It felt so good when you felt his hard dick against your lips and then vanished. The tip occasionally rubs against your clit.
"Please!" You cry out making Yuta smirk
"What's wrong, baby?"
"Please Y-Yuta! I-I need you!" You whine frustrated as to why he hasn't fucked you yet.
"Need what, baby?"
"Your cock!"
"But you already have it right here" his smug face as he looks at you squirm beneath him trying to fuck yourself using his cock between your thighs though it wasn't much. All it did was make you ache more.
"You know what I mean!" You press your thighs together making Yuta groan in shock but that didn't last long as he sharply fucking your thighs again before shaking your ass.
"Beg for it then" he growls
"Please! Yuta I need you to fuck me"
"Not enough baby. Beg for daddy's cock some more" Yuta's groans in frustration as he feels your wet cunt begging for him to fuck you. This was his own doing but now he was ready to stop playing games.
"Please daddy I need it! Please Yuta- I-"
Yuta doesn't let you finish as he pushes inside you, filling you up until he can't. He grunts as his thrusts are fast. Fucking you like you were leaving him. You were so wet and tight even all that teasing your poor cunt didn't even stretch. He watched as you screamed and cried while your ass jiggled with each slap when his thighs met you. He watched as you grabbed the table but it didn't help as he bent over to grab your hand. He didn't stop moving either in fact he fucked you faster.
"Oh my God!" You screamed as Yuta licked your ear before biting it. He let go and started whispering how he's been waiting to fuck you like this. How good you feel on his cock. Just degrading you in any way possible.
"Daddy!" You scream as Yuta raises your body up so that he could touch your tits, grabbing them and kneading them, feeling them bounce in his hands. Not long after Yuta slows down his pace making you whine but he had other plans. He moves one hand from your breast up and licks up your neck before grabbing it thrusting harder. You scream and feel yourself clenching around his dick so hard. You shake as Yuta holds you, calming you down. But that was only the start.
The night was a blur after that all you remembered was ending up in his bed. Yuta looks at you in the eyes as he slows down his pace looking at you in the eyes. He was holding your hands while making love to you. He wanted this to last for more than one night. He wanted your scent all over his sheets to his mattress. He wanted to be yours.
"Oh fuck- I'm gonna cum baby"
"Yuta!" You moan feeling yourself cum for the 3rd or 4th time tonight. Yuta leans to kiss as you calm down from your own orgasm. Yuta was chasing his own, keeping the same sharp pace. But it wasn't going to be too long as you free one of his hands you wrap around his neck along with your legs around his torso. You pull him in closer bringing him to the edge as you feel his cock twitch inside you.
"F-fuck! Y/N I love you" your eyes widen as you feel Yuta cum inside you. His body completely shudders and breaks down as he continues to kiss you and saying I love you. You lay there in shock at his words before crying.
After cleaning up and showering you and Yuta laid in bed on your side. Yuta was holding you and rubbing your arm as you looked at the wall. You thought about his confession. Did he mean it? Or was it in the heat of the moment? More importantly you had to sort out your own feelings. At first you were using him for your own personal gain. But now things were different and you felt different about Yuta.
"I got these and the other sheets for you" he says
"Really?"
"You look pretty in blue" he admits playing with the sheets as he looks to your backside. Marked up with nothing but slight bruises from the earlier activities. Yuta wanted this to be his every night and wake up next to you every morning. He wanted to bring you out on dates and just love you how you needed to be loved.
"Y/n"
"Hmm?"
"I want to break up with Lisa." Your stomach drops at Yuta's works. You turn your body around, trying to confirm his seriousness.
"I wanna leave her for you"
"Yuta-
"Y/n I love you. I can't go on pretending I don't"
"But-
"I know you love me too," Yuta says, his hands pulling your body closer. You kiss him, and he instantly kisses back. The two of you spent the rest of the night kissing and holding each other.
In the early hours of the morning, you snuck out of the bedroom, leaving Yuta sleeping alone. You went into the living room to make a small phone call.
"Hey Jae, it's me. Listen to those photos you took of me and Yuta... delete them. I have what I want. She's gonna flip her shit when she finds out I have her little boyfriend or soon to be ex-boyfriend. My revenge is going to be so damn sweet. Anyways, I'm gonna enjoy this and tell Yuta everything. " With that, you end the call going back to the beat, seeing Yuta still sleeping. You crawl back into bed, getting under the sheets and playing with his hair and stroking his face. Your heart flutters, admiring how beautiful he is. You couldn't help but feel excited to date again. Sure, you've gone on a date with Yuta before. Those "hangouts" weren't just that they were more. You weren't stupid. Soon, you don't have to be low-key with him. He was yours all this time from the moment you met. That made you happy, but happiness is a short feeling. It's only a temporary high as you were being watched. And the person watching you was not happy.

Valentine's tag game 💗
Thank you for thinking of me @arcielee, I just love exposing my awkward self on the internet lmao xo
The most painful love crush/disappointment in life?
I'd been casually seeing a dude on and off for like 2 years, I was besotted but neither of us were in a relationship wanting place. I moved away for a while and came back for a visit, he gave me one of his rings, spewed a load of "I've really missed you, let me take you on a real date, are you moving back? I'd really like to give things a proper go." blah blah blah, I was over the moon that this blond blue-eyed carved from marble greek-esque god had missed me.
I go home with him that night, mind you I had been drinking on an empty stomach all day so you can only imagine what state I was in come morning, I had my head in his toilet bowl from like 6am til 9am when I finally felt decent enough to get in a taxi - He was all upset because I wouldn't get back into bed... MY DUDE I AM DYING I DON'T WANT TO CUDDLE.
He ignored my apologetic texts for the 2 next days. I saw him on a night out on day 3, he BLANKED ME TO MY FACE. TWICE. Then never spoke to me again.
What was your first real date like/what do you imagine your first real date like?
In the early days of "dating" my husband drove 300 miles to come see me with my bestie and her boyfriend and he took us to the zoo, he watched me cry at the elephants then got me a little elephant plushie from the gift shop. It still sits on my bookshelf 6 years later.
What would be the most awkward situation for you on a date/has happened to you while dating?
Wasn't on a date cause I'm pretty sure ^ was my first proper date, but my situation ship picked me up and I would get so nervous that my hands wouldn't work properly around him and I didn't do my drinks bottle up correctly, so when I practically flung myself into his car my diet coke fizzed up and went everywhere. I was soaked in a way I didn't want to be and feeling mortified.
I have some very nsfw awkward moments that have happened but thats not the dash lmao.
What was your first kiss like/what do you imagine your first kiss to be like?
Uhh I kept laughing when the guy would lean in so it got to the point where I had to cover his eyes with my hands and force him to just stay still and let me work it out lmao WHATS THERE TO WORK OUT ABOUT SMUSHING LIPS TOGETHER (we were together for 2 years after that so he must have found it endearing)
Do you have any sexual quirks that others would find strange/is there anything you would never do when it comes to sex?
Tumblr media
Kinkiest thing you've done/could do with a partner?
See above answer.
The most romantic thing ever?
My husband did like a mad gift basket for me on our first valentines, had all my favourite chocolates in it, a new photo album for all my polaroids, my very first funko which is a big wunwun (that giant from GOT) and a wooden heart that says "You're a knob, but you're my knob." He does cute things like this for me on a regular, I could write a massive book listing it all.
No pressure tags for funsies: @gemini-mama @persephones-journey and anyone else who wants to hop on!

Applin Of My Eye Ch3 An Unexpected Reunion P2
Tumblr media
The day had been good so far.
Turrffield was a town of peace and quiet. Most of the time it was anyways. Unless some of his wooloo got out, or if he was battling at his local gym. Otherwise it was pretty peaceful, which was how he liked it most of the time. Nothing could beat the way the breeze quietly blew through the fields and the wooloos cutely baaed their own language as they played in the fields. That day had been no different, when he had gotten up bright and early and started the day by making breakfast for himself and Felix. They had a lot to do today so they were going to need a good meal to start off. Speaking of said little brother- Smaller footsteps came from upstairs and got closer and closer until Felix appeared bounding down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"Morning Milo!," Felix greeted with a smiling as he walked right up to him, attracted to the sight, smell, and sounds of sizzling sausage and eggs. "I see you got breakfast already done."
He gave a smile of his own back to his baby brother. "Hahaha! Actually you're just in time for me to serve it to you." The pan with said food was lifted off the stove top as Milo turned to the table, spatula in the other hand.
"Oh yum!" Felix wasted no time to jump into the nearest chair with a plate set in front of it just in time for Milo to push some of the desired food on it with a tilt of his pan.
It made his brother chuckle. "Careful. It's hot since I just took it off the stove. Hows the online classes coming along?"
"Just fine! I got a B back from the history exam we did the other day."
"That's great, Felix! You're making great progress on everything. I'm proud of you! Make sure you eat up. We have a lot of work to get done this weekend."
Felix gave him a look grabbing the fork. "What's on the agenda this time, Mi?"
"Oh lots of things. We have to clean out the barn, store the hay bails in the barn once we clean it, and we have to sheer the wooloo's tomorrow so we can ship it off. It's going to be a lot of work to get done in two days but I'm sure we can get it done if we work together."
Felix nodded before pausing. "Hey. Milo." His brother hummed. "Has-..H-Has anyone called about Daisy yet?"
It was Milo's turn to pause before giving a sad frown. "Oh. Sorry, Felix. No one's seen her yet, but don't worry. She'll pop up soon! I know it!"
Felix's expression didn't look up from his uneaten food. "...I miss her Milo. I really do."
"I know, Buddy. I do too." He hummed. "...Tell you what. It shouldn't take us too long to get the barn ready and hay stored. As soon as we're done with that we can go look for her again. How does that sound?"
"Y-Yeah. I think I'd like that a lot."
"That's the spirit! Go ahead and eat up. The sooner we finish, the sooner we can take a look around town again."
Poor Felix. He's been upset ever since his little wooloo buddy ran off almost three months ago. He suspected Daisy slipped through the hole he discovered in the fence that day, but none of Milo's wooloo were missing so it was hard to say. Since then they've been doing everything they could think of to find the special wooloo. Missing posters, asking around, combing through the woods, and he even went a while step further and contacted his league friends asking that if any shiny wooloo was spotted near them to contact him immediately. But so far nothing had come up, which was starting to make him worry a bit. But there really wasn't anything they could do but keep and eye out and keep looking until she was eventually found. Hopefully it'd be soon so Felix wouldn't worry for much longer. However he had no idea how soon they're prayers would be answered.
The barn itself wasn't too hard to clean. Just move a few things around and use a firm broom to sweep away any dirt and stray wooloo fur. The real challenge would be to roll all those hay bails inside to store for later use. That's where he came in. He had a much easier time rolling the giant heavy bails from their random spots on the field and over into the barn, in the meantime Felix busied himself doing other things like watering the crops and feeding the herd of wooloo as he wasn't strong enough yet to move such heavy hay bails like Milo. He will one day, but until then Milo won't let him do any of the dangerous heavy lifting. Things were coming along real fast. If they kept this up, they'd be all done before noon even hit! He was already down to one of the last hay bails anyways when Felix came quickly bounding back up to his side.
"I'm all finished with everything else. Can we go look now?"
"There's only a few bails left for me to move. We can go looking as soon as I'm done."
"Can't you do the rest of them when we come back?"
" By then it'll be too late for anymore work, Felix. And I don't want you going off searching by yourself and getting lost. Just be patient for a few more minutes. Ok?"
Felix deflated but it would be better for him to wait for Milo to finish so they can look around together. The last thing he wanted was for Felix to get lost or hurt himself trying to search for his missing  wooloo. He wouldn't be too long now anyways, just a few more hay bails and he'd be all done-
"Excuse me!"
He paused mid roll. What was-
"You in the field!" Both Milo and Felix looked over and we're surprised to see what appeared to be a woman standing by their fence waving an arm at them. What the? Who was that? "I think I found your missing wooloo!"
Those few words sparked them into pausing at that. Wha- A MISSING WOOLOO?! THEIRS?! He was pretty sure that none of his herd had gotten out again. The woman was too far away to clearly make out who it was, but the voice sounded oddly.... familiar. Was she one of the locals maybe? Wait. What was that small thing right next to her?
"DAISY!!"
He nearly jumped from the volume of Felix's voice before his brother with the speed of a rapidash on a sugar high took off towards the fence and whoever it was. The last thing you really expected was the teen dropping anything his hands right then and there before charging right at you or the fact that you would  suddenly found yourself falling over. Landing flat on your back. Looking up at the sky from the ground as a brown blur bowled you over by ramming into your legs and continued on pawing at the fence happily giving out the loudest baas you'd ever heard. Felix never wasted any time hopping the fence like a desperate kangastan and running right up to the brown baaing blur arms outstretched.
"DAISY!!"
"Oh my Arceus!" Milo's mouth dropped in shock as he just literally watched someone go flying by getting knocked over by a wooloo. Of course he went running right over, one hand clutching his hat. "Oh no. Oh no. Hey Miss! Are you ok?!"
You laid there dazed for a good while just staring up at the fluffy white clouds going across the sky as your brain was slowly processing what exactly happened. ...Huh. You must've hit your head harder than it felt because the sky looked a lot like Silver all of a sudden. It even chirped at you just like him and a pink hand rapidly patted your face. It took you a good few moments to realize that it WAS Silver standing over you and patting your face.
"...Ow." You groaned slowly prying yourself off the ground to prop yourself up on your elbows, brain catching up to you finally. "I'm gonna feel that in the morning. Remind me to never turn by back on a wooloo again, Sil." Silver chirped at you. You groaned blinking your f/c eyes for a moment at some strange noises but paused at what you witnessed.
"Hey, Lady!! Are you ok over there?!" Milo called out again as he quickly got closer and closer, more worried the longer the woman didn't answer. Oh no. Did she get knocked out? Would he have to call a flying ambulance?! He finally reached the fence hand grabbing onto the white wooden fence, panting. He saw she had sat up and her eyes were open (thank Arceus) but she was stone still. "Are you alright?! That looked like a hard fall you took!" She remained silent. "Hey! Why aren't you answering? Are you hurt?! I need to know-" he glanced over. "-so I...can..."
He stopped and stared at the sight of Felix, his little baby brother, was sitting there crosslegged slightly rocking back and forth with soft sobs escaping his mouth. Wrapped up tight in his arms was a wooloo who he knew all too well, she was baaing absolutely happy and waving her little legs around not minding at all that there was a kid death hugging her with his face half way smooshed into her brown wool. If he looked hard enough he could even see a few makings of tears rolling down his exposed cheek. He stared at the sight before him. Slowly letting the scene sink in.
"....Daisy?" The wooloo turned to him hearing her name and based in greeting to him. "Daisy! It is you!" An instant smiled appeared on his face and with one strong hop, kicked himself over the fence the same way Felix did. "Hey girl! Where have you been?" Daisy only baaed happily and eagerly accepted the head Pat's Milo gave him. "But you're here and you're alright!" He blinked. "...And you've been...sheered?"
"Yeah. Sorry about that." He blinked back over when someone grunted and saw you were slowly picking yourself up off the ground and slowly stretching your body out, your back giving a few small pops. Yep. You were definitely going to be feeling that tomorrow morning. With a groan your hands rubbed your back with a hiss escaping your lips. "She was pretty roughed up when my friends found her so we kinda had to fix a few things." You waved as he blinked. "She's lost some wool and she's a bit under weight but I think she's ok. Ow."
Milo froze. The wheels whirling in his mind until it stopped and he lit up in both the color pink and realization. "I-...I-I-Its you!"
You nodded. "It's me. Hey there, Milo. It's good to see you again."
His cru- I mean the lady that saved Galar?! Here?! What was she doing here?! But most importantly -
"A-Are you alright?", He asked holding out a hand. "That looked like a hard fall you t-t-took there. I know wooloo are a lot stronger than people think."
You waved him off. "Nah. I'm fine. It's not the worst thing that's happened to me, and it's not the first time I've gotten bowled over by a wooloo either."
"Oh Arceus. Don't remind me." He frowned guiltily. "And again sorry for that. And sorry Daisy knocked you over like that."
"Daisy?"
Milo gestured to the shiny wooloo as Felix sniffed and finally looked up at the newcomer. "She's my little brother's pokemon, but she went missing a few months ago. We've been looking for her everywhere. Where did you find her?"
"Found her in Postwick." You pointed at Daisy. "Then we just cleaned her up and followed the address on her collar there."
"Postwick? How'd she get all the way there?" That was a good distance away from Turrffield even. He shook his head starting to calm down from his shock over everything now. "Well I guess that doesn't matter. What's important is that she's back safe and sound now." He smiled again. "And I can't thank you enough, but are you sure you're alright?"
"Believe me. I'm perfectly fine, plus I'm used to this by now with everything I've been through. But I did want to ask you about something -"
He held up a hand. "I know exactly what that is."
You blinked before raising a brow. "Wait. Really?"
"Yes, but I should really finish putting the hay away." He politely gestured to the farmhouse behind him. "Why don't you go inside and have a rest and I'll get right back to you." He hummed before turning to Felix who just stood back up still sniffling. "Hey. You go ahead and have a break too. Ok? I'm sure Daisy's hungry from her trip so why don't you go feed her?"
Felix sniffled but nodded and went back to cuddling into Daisy's wool before turning....Felix? OH!! FELIX!! THAT WAS THE NAME ON THE COLLAR!! Daisy must've belonged to Milo's little brother all along.
"Felix will show you inside. I'll be there as soon as I get the rest of the hay bails in the barn. It shouldn't take more than twenty minutes."
"Oh..." You smiled making him blink. "Thanks! That's really kind of you."
He coughed but nodded before quickly turning away to hop back over the fence and quickly walking back over to the remaining few bails. You slowly turned back to the house and just saw Felix staring at you from the doorway. Guess he was waiting for you. Slowly, you walked all the way up to stand on the porch, and it was only then did Felix turned, sniffled, and shuffled to hold Daisy under one arm to open the door.
"C-C'mon in," Felix said nodding his head to the inside.
"I will thanks."
With Silver waddling at your feet, you followed Felix into the house and...It did NOT look at all like you were expecting. You were expecting a farm house to have all kinds of rustic furniture or country styled decor hanging up everywhere or even a rocking chair somewhere but you saw none of that. All the furniture looked some state of new-ish and not rustic hand me down oldies you were expecting. Honestly it looked and felt more like Hop's house except everything has some kind of green and white color scheme. But then again what were you expecting from a grass type gym leader? Speaking of which there was plenty of grass type Pokemon decor around here along with a lot of wooloo things too. A wooloo shaped cookie jar. A petili  themed plant pot on the shelf there. And even the sofa in the living room had eldegoss looking throw pillows. Ah. Wasn't that one of Milo's pokemon? Felix went ahead and plopped himself down on an armchair still refusing to Iet go of Daisy and just nodded politely to the sofa.
"Y-You can sit there if you'd like, Miss."
"Thank you. And you can just call me Y/n. It's easier that way." You took him up on his offer and sat down across from him. "So... That's your wooloo huh?"
He nodded and for the first time since you got there saw him smile. "Y-Yeah. *Sniff* She's my favorite pokemon."Daisy happily baaed as she was pulled tighter against the boy. "Y-You have no idea how worried I w-was about her. I thought I'd never see her again."
"I imagine it must've been a rough time. I know I'd feel the same way if I ever lost Silver here." Said drizzlie just sighed and flopped face first on the floor. Felix sniffled again as you watched. "...Here." In a swift motion, you reached into a pocket on your shirt and pulled out a handkerchief before extending it to Felix whom blinked surprised at you. "I always carry some with me since Silver's a messy eater, but you can have this one."
Felix stared at it before smiling again and taking it from you. "T-Thanks."
"It's my pleasure. It's also good to see you again too." He blinked confused from behind wiping his eyes. "We saw each other last year. Don't you remember me? I was the one who babysat everyone at the Champion Cup."
A flash of realization crossed his face. "Ooohh. I remember you. You're the one that gave my brother and I those keychains and free food last Christmas." You smiled. "You also got ran over by Willy. Sorry about that."
"...Willy?"
"He was the wooloo that escaped that day. Gave my brother a run for his money. Wooloo's are always finding new ways to escape around here. Milo's chasing them through town all the time."
Milo named his wooloo? You sighed. "It's alright. Things happen. But I haven't seen you since last year. Congratulations on making it to the semifinals by the way. It must've been a tough ride."
Felix groaned. "Don't remind me. I had to fight Kabe ten times and Raihan thirty two times before I even got through, and then I barely made it time to qualify for the finals! Everyone went through like a breeze."
"You still did a great job. Don't knock your hard work! You got really far."
"Thank you. It was great to be there even if I did lose the first match. The Champion's brother is a real good fighter too so I guess that runs in their family.''
You nodded. Hop was a good fighter, and you briefly remembered watching him fight against Felix in the semifinals before Hop ultimately won. Felix had still put up a good fight however. You remembered the last time you saw the brothers was when you were forced into a babysitting gig-
knocking.....MORE. KNOCKING!!! Came from the door again drawing a few people attention as you looked on over and stared blankly. Until another knock came and you sighed as whoever it was just opened the door, and you prayed it was FINALLY Leon-...Nope. You stared as not one but SEVEN people walked in. And your jaw dropped a bit when seeing who it was exactly. Milo and Melony!! What the heck were those two doing here? Didn't they have to worry about their battle next? ...You got your answer as five children walked in with them. Three of them, boys all around Allister's age, giggled like little maniacs as they rushed in and ran straight for the chairs set up by the windows.
"Wha- Hey! Watch where you're going!," Bede barked as the three ignored him immediately clambering up the chairs only to press their hands and faces on the windows looking out at the repair team and crowds below.
You blinked as you stared at them, the three all had hair ranging from blonde to blondish-white hair and all with blue eyes. ...They looked a bit similar to Gordie actually.
"Boys! Where are your manners? Be nice to the other kids."
You looked back towards the sound of the voice and saw that Melony was giving the three a frown as a girl stood next to her. She looked around the same age as Gloria, only like Melony she sported snow white hair and the same blue eyes as her and the boys. Were they related? The girl looked slightly embarrassed but next to her was Milo and standing right beside him was a boy also around the same age as Hop and Gloria. You blinked at first thinking you were seeing double as this boy could easily pass for a much younger Milo. But the boy looked different too. Both had the same pink hair and green eyes, but compared to Milo the boy had darker green eyes and lighter pink hair, and no freckles were on his face which was something Milo had that he didn't. Everyone was staring at the commotion that had once again walked in through the door and inevitably as the two grown ups looked around, Milo eventually spotted you staring back at them confused and shocked from the couch. He smiled back widely and gave a wave towards you.
Hello!," he greeted catching Melony's attention over to you too as you stared. "Um. So sorry to barge in like this. Definitely not our intention." He have a sheepish smile. "But we heard from Raihan you were watching everyone's children up here for them." He hand came down to pat the smaller him on the shoulder. "My brother's visiting the city today and I think he'll be better off here out of the way. I'm kinda busy at the moment with things."
"As am I." Melony sighed before placing her hands on her hips in the way only a tired mother could. "I can't ask Gordie to just watch them and I hate letting my little frostlings out of my sight. Can't turn my back for one second and their trying to climb a wall like a Bug-type."
Raihan. Of course!! That guy just had to go on and blab about this to the others. You scowled in annoyance. "Im gonna put out that dragon's fire next time I see him."
"...Pardon?"
"Uh..Nothing." You looked back to them with a small smile. "Let me guess. You guys want me to watch these little guys too?"
Aren't you a bit.." Milo gave a look over all the other kids already there. "...Booked? Maybe this wasn't a good idea after all. You look like you already got your hands full in here."
"What other choice do we have?", Melony asked looking back at him. "I can't just leave them in the stands by themselves? Elsa can't watch all the boys by herself, and Gordie's not an option either. It's either this or we'll both have to forfeit the match."
"I know. I know. It's just-"
"I can do it." They both looked back to you smiling and standing from the couch to face them. "It'd be no problem since I've babysat before."
They both looked to you before Milo asked unsure, "Are you sure? I mean Felix won't be any trouble, but we don't want to over burden you."
You waved him off. "Nah it's fine. You guys can just leave them here and pick them up after the finals are over."
Long story short...You went from five kids to watching ten now. Sigh. The triplets and their older sister immediately took attention to the window at least. Everyone seemed too distracted to really pay attention to you as you waited for your ramen to cook. You didn't even know Milo and Gordie were big brothers too.
"Ok Felix. Watch closely and learn how your big bro does things."
And then the whole Rose revived Eternatus thing happened and you had to leave everyone with Mrs. Opal to catch up with your friends. You hoped Milo wasn't angry about that. You didn't think he was Considering he never mentioned it so you guessed he was ok with what happened. But you made a mental note to apologize to him for that later anyways.
"Sorry for bailing back there anyways. I had an emergency I had to take care of."
"You guys saved an entire region, so I think I can understand the situation."
You were about to ask him another question but was interrupted by the sounds of the front door opening and closing. You both looked up and a moment later none other than Milo himself walked into the living room. Upon seeing the two of you he smiled.
"Thanks for waiting. Sorry again if it took so long," he apologized.
"No it's alright. Felix was keeping me company, but what I really wanted to ask about was th-"
"Of course. After all I did advertise it in the missing posters." He didn't let you say another word before reaching into a pants pocket and pulling out a wallet.
"What are you doing?"
"The reward money. I promised three hundred dollars to anyone who found Daisy." He opened the wallet.
"I don't want that."
He paused just as he was reaching into said wallet before blinking. "What?"
"I said I DON'T want your money." You pointed back at him. "Put your wallet away and keep your money."
He blinked. "W-What? But I did promise it to whoever brought Daisy home."
"I didn't even know about any reward money!", You insisted holding your hands up, "I brought Daisy to the address on her collar because I assumed she was lost. Even if I knew about any reward money I still wouldn't accept anything because it was the right thing to do. I'm glad Daisy's back but that doesn't mean I'll take your money."
"Well-...I-" He looked a bit lost between his wallet and your face. "..W-Well at least let me give you some money for your troubles. Traveling all the way from Postwick and getting knocked over by our wooloo should at least earn you a hundred doll-"
"Milo!," You sternly cut him off with a frown, "I appreciate the gesture but Im NOT gonna take even a penny from you. I don't want your money at all. What I did was my own choice because it was simply the right thing to do. If I want money I can go out and work for it. You shouldn't have to pay me for making sure your Pokemon's home. If you just give me money anyways, I'll just give it right back." You stood now and reaching over, you took the wallet from Milo only to close it and put it back in the stunned farmers hands. "So please just put your wallet away. It's perfectly fine."
You then made Milo's hand close around the wallet....and his green eyes went from your face and your hands holding his..before his face lit up a bright pink. Felix went wide eyed at his brother's reaction to the woman... before a sly idea went across his face. So the small teen coughed making Milo jump and you both look at him.
"*ahem* Well golly, Miss. We sure do appreciate you went out of your way to do for us. What will you be doing now?"
You finally let go of Milo's hand. "I'll be resting for the rest of today then head on back home tomorrow morning."
"Oh, I see. Where will ya be staying?"
"I have a tent and sleeping bag. I'll just camp out tonight."
"Well..Why don't you stay here for the night?"
You both stared at him. "What?"
"You don't want any money which is all fine and dandy, but we'd still like to pay you back. So why don't you spend the night here and have dinner with us?"
"Oh. No. I couldn't ask you all to do that."
"It'd be no problem!" Felix smiled. "Milo's a great cook, and you can stay in the guest room! We wouldn't mind. Do we Milo?"
"Huh? O-Oh." He cleared his throat quickly and looked away. "I d-don't mind a bit. *Ahem* Of course you're free to stay if you wish. I-It would be no problem. I W-Wont force you to stay if you don't want to however. You're free to do a-as you wish."
You stood there for a moment thinking about it. "Well..I guess it would be nice to sleep in a bed before I'm forced to camp again and sleep on train seats. But there's one thing I'd like to check out in Turrffield tho. Do any of you know about the house for sale just up the road?"
Milo looked too busy fumbling with the green scarf around his neck nervously so Felix nodded. "That's the old Jenkins place. It's been up for sale for a while now but no one really wants to do business with that grouchy rude raisin."
"F-Felix! Be nice. O-Old Man Jenkins can't help it if he's a -a little under the weather most of time."
"Thanks. I'll keep that in mind when I go check out that place. I'll.. probably be back before it gets too dark but I'll see."
"Y-Yeah! You do that! T-T-Take your time!" He floundered as you excused yourself and saw yourself out Silver in tow.
As soon as the door closed behind her Felix turned to Milo's still red face giving the smugest of looks only a little brother could. "Woooow. You could not have made your crush anymore obvious, Bro."
Now usually one would deny such accusations or tell their little brother to shut it, but Milo only sighed and didn't even try to deny it. Felix would only see right through him anyways. He never was good at hiding these things. "Y-You really think so?"
"Uh. Lemme check. Blushing and looking like you're about to pass out any moment while talking to her? Yep! That's obvious I-totally-have-a-crush-on-you 101 right there. She was probably just too polite to say anything or thought she might've accidentally embarrassed you when she refused the money." Milo groaned again a hand reached up to rub his face. "Hey. Don't beat yourself up, Mi. It's normal to like someone. But ain't that the same girl who gave you free food last Christmas?"
He nodded with a sigh. GOSH!! Y/N WAS SO NICE!! IT MADE HIS HEART MELT!! "Yes. A-And she helped save Galar and Leon so-so... she's pretty good hearted. That's probably why she turned down the money."
"Oh. Well anyone who gives us free food and returns wooloo's is good enough for you in my books."Daisy let out a happy baa which made Felix smile. "Oh. Your welcome by the way."
Milo rose a brow puzzled. "Your welcome for what?"
"I got her to come over for dinner. You can make a good impression on her that way. After all they say the fastest way to a person's heart is through their stomach."
He almost fainted right then and there but managed to only instead make a funny choke noise that made Felix laugh. However things didn't really go through as Felix would've liked for his big brother. She did return around dinner time and Felix was the one to show her in and too the table which already had food set on it. Felix also made an effort to impress her by thinking of setting aside some generic pokemon food for her drizzlie which Felix gladly let Milo take all the credit and wasn't afraid to tell her so.
"Milo's really considerate. That's why everyone in Turrffield likes him so much! Oh wow. He even got your Pokemon some food too. Ain't he amazing?!"
Even when dinner was served and everyone was given the sweet apple curry Milo ended up making, Felix couldn't help but put his big brother in the spotlight.
"Did you know this entire dish is home made? And everything on this plate was hand grown right here in Turrffield?"
"Oh really?"
"Yeah! A lot of it's from our very own farm! Milo's REALLY great at providing things. And he's REALLY good at cooking."
Milo choked on an apple slice but Y/n only looked amused. "Oh really?"
"Uh huh! Any vegetarian curry you can think of! Bean medley curry, mushroom medley curry, plenty-of-potato curry, leek curry, apple curry, herb medley, salad curry, coconut curry- But his absolute BEST is tropical curry! He can make it taste so sweet that it's practically a desert! He memorized the recipe because it's my favorite. Did I mention how selfless and kind he was?"
Milo ended up tilting his hat down to hide how red faced he was. He did try to stop him, really he did but his throat felt so tight that all he could do was make a sound like he was dying but managed to save any embarrassment by covering it up with a cough.  Although that still didn't stop Felix was talking Milo up to you. You thought it was absolutely adorable and knew EXACTLY what was going on. While you did feel a bit bad for how embarrassed Milo was, you couldn't help but be amused by how much Felix was trying to obviously Wingman for his big brother.
"Did I mention he's strong?! Milo can push up to seven hundred and seventy pounds easily! That's like almost eight hundred pounds! And did I mention that not only is he a gym leader but he owns his own land and makes a lot of money from both farming and the pokemon league? I don't like to brag, but Milo's also in charge of the entire town of Turrffield. He might as well just own everything here. He also knows how to grow his own food... Did I already mention he was a great provider?!"
"...Felix..." Both of you looked up as Milo did not dare remove his hat but slightly pointed at him and spoke in a voice barely over a whisper. "I think it's time f-for bed..."
"Wha- But I didn't get to tell her about the time you saved a little kid from a charging mudsdale! Did I mention he's heroic and kind and always helps others?!"
You giggled and nodded. "Yes, but it is getting late. I think I'll go to sleep now if that's alright."
"Oh sure! The guest room is right upstairs. You can't miss it since it's the only one that has a white door. I can show you if you want! Milo even fixed it up for you! Isn't he considerate?"
"It's alright." You tried and failed not to giggle as you stood up. "Thank you for the food, Milo. It really was good. Good night."
Milo could only give a small hum from under his hat as you left, and Felix didn't speak again until he heard the guest room door upstairs close behind you. "I think that went well! She kept smiling and laughing!"
Milo's forehead met the table in embarrassment.
He guessed he should've felt relief when he woke up the next day and found out she had already left before he could apologize and offer to make her breakfast before she left, even if he did feel a bit hurt at her gone. But he understood. Postwick was a long ways away, even by train or taxi it would take a bit to get back. So it would be good to get a head start. However he would see her again but not until later when there was a disturbance at his gym. The entire small community of Turrffield was literally shaken awake  by a random dynamaxed pokemon that just happened to cut into a scheduled exhibition match between himself and Piers. They both had fled but not before making sure everyone had evacuated safely. However he wasn't expecting for two other people to show up-
"Hey! Mr. Milo!"
They both turned around and Piers spoke. "Hm? You're-..." He stopped. Blue eyes raising a surprised brow.
Milo however was just confused turning to the two of you just as you and Victor stopped in front of them, then he turned surprised, and held up his hands. "H-Hey! I'm sorry but you two can't be here right now. We're in a bit of an emergency we have to take care of."
"Hey, Hot Pink," you greeted Piers with a smile towards Piers who after a moment eventually sighed and shook his head.
Hah. How carefree can you be? There's an emergency goin' on 'ere and you're bargin' in here like ya own the place."
"Hey. We just got here actually...And what the heck is going on anyways?"
"I was actually in the middle of an exhibition match with Piers," Milo explained making you all look at him. "But then this dynamax pokemon came charging in out of no where. In was like a third party just dynamaxed a wild pokemon and sicked it on us in there. Very strange."
Both you and Victor looked at one another. Meanwhile Milo's thoughts were speeding through a mike a minute. Y/n?! Why was she here?! When did she get here?! Was there a connection to what had just happened?! Stop beating already heart!!
"The audience and staff already took shelter," Piers spoke making you look at him, "It was too dangerous to keep anyone in the stadium while that thing was rampagin'. Which begs the question why are the two of you 'ere? It's like every time there's trouble you're not far behind."
You went to go answer him and maybe ask if either of them had seen any trace of Hop, but before you could there was another shake followed by a loud cry that you both had heard on your way there but now being much closer it had everyone shaking and holding their arms out to avoid getting tripped up and falling to the ground before it stopped again with you all wobbling but standing thankfully. WHAT. WAS. THAT!? Was that the dynamax pokemon they mentioned before? Must've been. What else could've made that noise and rumble? You couldn't ask them anything yet before the door in front of the gym leaders opened and someone stepped out in front of them.
"I got everyone who was seated on the north side of the stadium evacuated!," a familiar voice panted out, making you two look up, "You must've heard right? More dynamax pokemon are running amok!"
"Much obliged, Hop!," Milo thanked the boy in front of him, "I'd expect nothing left from a gym challenger. I knew we could count on you!"
"I lost in the semifinals though-"
"HOP!!" Milo yelped as he was shoved aside and you pushed past him in order to see Hop. And sure enough he was right there. Startling he had jumped back from you shoving your way in front of him and he blinked.
"Ah! ....Y/n? ACK!"
You grabbed him by the shoulders. "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!? Don't you realize how dangerous that was chasing after thieves by yourself!? I thought we were done doing that after the Hammerlocke fiasco! You had us scared half to freaking death!"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!," he apologized holding up his hands with a wince, "I just-...I couldn't let them get away with the stolen shield!"
.....You sighed. "It's...ok. But you are NOT doing that again! We don't know what those guys are capable of. Promise?" He nodded and you sighed again letting your hands lift from his shoulder. "Good." Thank Arceus he was ok. That was the most important part. "What are you even doing here?"
"I chased those red and blue guys and saw them head into Turffield Stadium," Hop explained to you still with that apologetic face, "The I heard the uproar and there was no way I could leave it alone! I had to help out.'' He did that family move of rubbing the back of his neck. "So..er...Sorry. I lost sight of them in all the rush."
Those guys with the crazy hair were here? What the world were they doing here?
Milo hummed with a frown. "Those suspicious characters you saw are concerning. But for now, I think we should get this dynamax pokemon to settle down first." He then turned to Victor who blinked. "I'd be glad for your help against a tough looking opponent though. You mind lending a hand?" Victor who seemed surprised ...but nodded. "Alright! Then let's head to the pitch!"
"I'll lend a hand too," Piers jabbed in, "I don't blame the pokemon 'f course, but I'm still just a bit miffed they upstaged me." He then paused before looking over at Hop who blinked at him. "You come too, Bro Of The Champion."
He blinked. "Huh? Who me?" He pointed at himself and Piers nodded. He immediately gave a face and held up his hands. "I don't know how much I can really help. ...If I come along.." He slowly lowered his hands looking down. "I might just end up slowing the rest of you down."
"Aren't ya the one who beat me in one single go?"
Hop blinked looking back up at Piers and you looked at him too a bit confused. "Uh...What?"
Hop blinked looking back up at Piers and you looked at him too a bit confused. "Uh...What?"
"I said...Didn't ya beat me back in the gym challenge in one try?" ..Confused Hop nodded. "An' ya were one of the only three trainers good enough to get into the semifinals in the first place and defeat multiple gym leaders. Right?" Hop nodded again and Piers hummed. "Hm. I'd say that makes you pretty capable o' bein' in battle. I don't really know the guy, but I don't think Leon'd be all lost about this. Though he does actually get lost a lot..." You and Hop both stared wide eyed at the rockstar because...Did Piers literally just compliment Hop over Leon's experience in this?? He turned giving a gesture to the door you assumed lead into the stadium. "You comin'?"
"Uh.....OK!" Hop smiled a little agreeing.
"Right!," You agreed with a nod. You guys had to calm down that pokemon by the looks of it. "Let's get this show on the road."
"Y/n? Are ya sure?" You turned to Victor who gave a worried face. You guessed your confusion must've shown because he pointed at you. "Ye said you've never been in a battle before. Dontcha think this..I dunno...Might be a bad idea to do as you're first experience battlin'?"
Milo paused...and slowly looked to you as you shook your head at Victor. "Well..maybe not but Silver has battle experience from you guys borrowing him all those times. I'm sure if I just give him a few basic directions he can improvise the rest. What choice do we have?"
"You can just let us take care o' it. M' sure between us and the gym leaders, we'll bring that pokemon down faster than Milo's wooloo bowlin' ya over."
You frowned a little bit at the memory of that before saying. "Victor, I'll be fine. I'm going to help-"
"Oh no you're not!" You practically jumped whirling around and coming face to face with Milo who frowned. "That's putting your pokemon in danger if you're seriously under-experienced and a good way to get hurt!" he shook his head. "And you haven't been in a battle before? NO. No, no! This!" His hands came up to gesture between you and the door. "Is not happening. Too many risks."
You scowled back at him hands on your hips. "I'm tired of standing on the sidelines while everyone else does all the hard work around here! I want to HELP!"
"You can help by standing here and keeping watch?," Victor suggested.
"Yeah! If those weird haired guys are still around, we'll need someone to keep a look out for them just in case they try to slip away when we're not looking!," Hop piped up happily.
Milo pointed at him like he agreed. "That's smart thinking! Problem solved! You're not going in there!" He gestured at you almost annoyed. "You already got run over twice on my watch. I'm not going to allow you to be hurt again with something that's my responsibility."
You deepened your frown. "You can't tell me what to do! If you want me to stay here then you can make me!"
Piers, Victor, and Hop all looked at one another. Milo blinked CLEARLY taken aback at what you said eyes widening. "W-What?"
"I said if you don't want me in there you'll have to make me!"
Milo and you stared at one another for a long moment..before sighed  "Alright but I didn't want to have to do this." And he suddenly leaned down which confused you.
"What are you- EEEEEEKKK!?"
A girly high pitched squeal left you as all of a sudden two arms wrapped around your middle body, one around your lower back and the other around the back of your legs. In one hard pull, you fell forward and your body fell against another person's shoulder and back and you went up, up, up! And you found yourself in the embarrassing situation of having been literally thrown over Milo's shoulder by Milo himself. He easily lifted your entire weight as he stood up and held you firmly enough to keep you from fighting back before he began walking off towards one of the couches Milo following behind.
"MILO?," you shouted voice nearly cracking. Your face EXPLODED RED from the sheer embarrassment of it all. Your hands flew to grab the back of his shirt to help keep balance as you shouted. "P-PUT ME DOWN!! IM PRETTY SURE YOU CAN'T DO THIS!!"
"You said to make you and I am. I don't think I want to see you hurt again if I can prevent it,'' he replied back calmly much to your annoyance.
"What do you mean!? I have to help protect them!"
"I'll make sure they're both fine. YOU just need to take it easy for a bit."
Wha- OOF!" You stopped when you were suddenly leaned forward and harmlessly dropped back down onto the couch staring at him as he leaned back up to his usual height as he still looked down at you completely still calm.
"PLEASE." He held up his hands. "Stay here. I seriously don't want to see you hurt anymore, and frankly...I'm going to prevent anyone from getting' hurt. You need ta stay here and stay safe." You opened your mouth but stopped when he gently grabbed your shoulder. "I'm not letting' anyone get hurt.Especially you."
You sat there silent for a moment before he felt confident enough you wouldn't follow them stunned before Milo spoke.
"Don't worry," you looked at him as he assured you, "Piers might look scary, but he's great at looking after others. He's a big brother after all. And to be fair it would be probably safer for you in you stayed here too. I promise it won't take too long."....You sighed leaning back into your seat at his response. "Alright. We should get going too. I'll bring those kids back to you as soon as the battle's over. Ok?"
...Thanks, Mr. Milo. Appreciate it."
He smiled at you before turning and you watched them all go into the stadium after Piers one after the other before the door closed behind them...and you flopped back against the couch. MAN. All you wanted to do was help but-.....Sigh. But Piers made some good points. You never battled before outside video games and you had no experience on the battle field yourself. You couldn't risk making a mistake like that. So...You must sat there with Silver who hoped onto the couch next to you and just flopped onto his side exhausted from walking around so much. You just wished you could help out more. You sat there hearing the ensuing battling taking place and clinging to the couch every time the stadium shook from the battle which carried on for a good ten to fifthteen minutes as you waited with baited breath. No one really came in or out during that time anyways which might've been a blessing as you didn't want to really deal with anyone else at the moment. With one last final shake and cry it all ended. You waited for a couple moments waiting for some kind of response but none came. The only thing that came after a minute or two was the door opening and the boys all filing out. You immediately stood up and jogged on over to them as they came out. THANK ARCEUS THE BOYS WERE ALRIGHT! The only thing that looked off about then was Victor rubbing some dirt from his hat.
"Are you guys ok?," you shouted coming to a stop right in front of them all.
Hop nodded. "Yeah! Even with the four of us that battle was hard to win. Good thing we managed to beat that pokemon huh?"
You opened your mouth to say something before Milo walked up with something next to him. "Phew....Looks like things have finally calmed down a bit." He smiled with a Tsareena next to him who made a noise.
Piers next to him sighed and shook his head. "This dynamax stuff...No matter how many times I see it I don't like it."
"I see your dislike of dynamaxing still hasn't changed, Piers. "...The grass type gym leader turned back to the pokemon with a hum. "But there was definitely something off about that dynamax transformation."
Off? How could a dynamaxing giant pokemon be off- "There wasn't any trainer anywhere!" You turned to Hop. "And the pokemon itself seemed like it couldn't even control the power itself."
Milo nodded at him. "Quite right, Hop."
You looked at him confused. "..Huh? Do you wanna fill me in on what I missed?"
"Normally a pokemon needs to respond to a dynamax band in order to dynamax but-"
Seems there was some discord in the harmony between trainer and pokemon."
"So you noticed something was off too," Milo confirmed with Piers before shaking his head and looking back to the tsareea, "There's no trainer to be found. This is a mystery wrapped up in an enigma." He shook his head again. "Oh well. I'll make sure Turffield Gym takes good care of this pokemon for the time being. You lot helped me out here. Thanks for that. Oh! And Piers." The rocker hummed at him. "If you should ever need my help feel free to call me anytime!" Piers nodded back to him and Milo took a moment to look at Victor before reaching into his pocket and pulling out something to hold out to him. "Here. A small token of my thanks." Victor blinked before he accepted it from Milo with a smile and thanks from himself. "No need to thank me. ..I think in the meantime I should take this little tsareena over to the pokemon center in case something's still wrong with it."
Piers nodded at him again. "That's probably for the best. Wouldn't want the lil thing too banged up from us givin' it that thrashing."
Milo smiled at him before turning to all of you. "Excuse me. I gotta get going. All right then. Follow me little Tsareena." And politely side stepped around your group to walk back out towards the door leading out of the gym. The pokemon following behind matching Milo's orders. Although he did stop and looked back to you which made you blink."And M-M-Miss Y/n.....I-.." He looked as if he wanted to confess something but stopped himself last minute. "Ijustwantedtosaysorryokbye!!"
He quickly mumbled before turning on his heel and speed walking away pulling his hat over his face confusing everyone there before Victor looked at Hop. "What the bloody heck was that about?"
"Oh I think I know."
He wasn't surprised that you all were gone by the time he came back. Even Piers was but oh well. Things happened and he'd reschedule another match with Piers later. Time passed, the tsareena was later released back into the wild safely and everything returned back to normal for the most part. However a month or two later would throw him for a loop. Felix had come up to him one day to deliver some strange but not too surprising news.
"Hey. You remember Old Man Jenkins? He's finally sold his house."
Milo had looked up from the potatoes he was pulling up to look at him. "Oh really? That's great!"
"The new neighbor just moved in! I think we should go say hi considering they're so close to us. That way they won't be so mad if your wooloo crashes into their property."
Milo huffed but that wasn't a too bad idea. "That sounds like the kind thing to do. Alright. First thing tomorrow morning we'll go over and say hi!"
So that's exactly what they did. First thing the next day the two brothers, armed with a giant gift basket of fruits, veggies, and baked goods walked right up to the house and knocked right on the door. However when footsteps approached. When the door opened. When a face smiled at them. He nearly dropped the basket in shock

Sunshine, Starlight, Sweetheart, Brightside: Chapter 10
Steven Grant X Fem!OC
Masterlist
Chapter 9 : Bonus Mini Chapter! :Chapter 11
Marc, Sam and Steven deal with the aftermath of the previous night. Not much for warnings, just the usually for the fic, talks of assault and SH and depression.
When Sam's alarm woke her up bright and early, she heard Steven start awake. She quickly went to him and leaned over the couch, helping orient him in his current reality "Hey, Sunshine I'm here, it's okay"
Steven looked at the room then at her as he put together the pieces. His eyes suddenly widened as he remembered their last conversation "Oh my god, sweetheart," he stood up and quickly went around to where she was standing and took her into a strong, safe, hug. what? What's happening, why is she here? "Marc is up, you wanna tell us what exactly happened? Hold on, he wasn't there for the phone call, I'll fill him in''
Sam waited patiently while she watched Steven have a mental conversation.
What phone call? She called us while we were blacked out, I woke up to her call in fucking Bath. She saw Jordan Jesus christ, I'm gonna fucking kill him.
"Okay I caught him up. First of all, what day is it?"
"Thursday morning. You work in a little, so do I, I was just about to head out, actually, can we talk later? I have to get going"
Steven looked almost bewildered "I'm not letting you walk alone, you can tell me about it on the way. Hold on, I'll grab my jacket"
Sam wanted to protest. She didn't want him to go out of his way, Jake's words had been eating away at her. But, she still didn't want to walk alone.
Steven called out "call me when you are leaving for class and when you go back to work. If I don't answer, text me so I know everything is okay."
"Steven, it's fine, you don't have to-"
"What time are you off today?"
"6, but it's okay-"
"Perfect, I'm off at 3 so I'll come get you."
"No Steven, Elena has been walking me over after work, you don't have too-"
Steven stopped in his tracks "What's wrong? Besides the obvious, I mean... Do you not want me around your work or something?"
"No! No that's not it it's just... well you do so much for me I don't want to bother you..."
His face fell "Love, it's no bother... don't worry about it..."
"Okay..."
"It doesn't seem okay"
"It's fine Steven" her tone was more clipped than she meant it to be, making him frown "Can we get going?"
"Of course, gotta get you that coffee" he said a little playfully
"Yeah" she walked out the door ahead of him
What is that about?
I don't know, I don't like it...
Why wouldn't she want us walking her... does she not trust us? Did something happen? Is she mad we were gone for 3 days?
Okay, don't read too much into it, she just had a scary experience so you think she's going to be a little upset? Yeah. she is.
Don't get sarcastic with me, go figure out what's going on.
Steven caught up to Sam and tried to take her hand protectively, but she pulled away to light a cigarette. They walked to Steven's favorite coffee shop as always, but this time Sam wouldn't let Steven buy her coffee. Does she feel weird about us buying her things now?
"So, tell me what happened? If not, that's okay. You don't have to talk about it before work if it's gonna upset you, I know work can be stressful enough"
Sam sighed "You don't have to hear about it, it's fine. It was just scary, but he didn't do anything so it's not that big a deal."
Steven stopped her then, grabbing her arm and turning her to him "Sam" this caught her attention, he almost never called her by her name "What is going on? You don't have too... you don't have try and make what happened less of a deal. Are you upset we were gone for so long? You're scaring us."
Sam's jaw started quivering, she tried to fight the tears not wanting to make a bigger deal than it already is, but as soon as Steven saw her, he took her into his arms and she started sobbing "Oh love, oh my god, it's okay. We won't let him hurt you again."
Sam quickly dried her tears and pulled back "It's okay, I doubt he'll do anything, please don't worry."
"Can you at least tell us what happened?"
She took his hand and spoke "I stopped at the flower cart outside my apartment and had my back turned and he fucking touched my back, I felt like a scared 17 year old again, I froze." the tears came again "He asked if I lived here, I said no, my friend Emily did. I don't even have a friend named Emily, I just lied"
Steven wanted to take away all her pain, all her fear. He spoke quietly."I'm so proud of you, you thought very quickly"
"I don't know if he believed me. He... he asked if I wanted to get coffee? Like he was talking to me as if he isn't the reason I get night terrors and he didn't traumatize me? Like we were just friends from high school or something... I told him I had to work and he said he'd see me around and the way he said it... it was like it wasn't up for debate. It was like he was going to."
Steven was shaking with rage. Anger was usually Marc department but the fact that this man had to not only traumatize her after a summer of stalking, but he had to come back 8 years later and threaten her... I'm gonna kill him she asked you not too I could get, just, really close to killing him
"I just knew I couldn't stay in my apartment, not for a few days so that maybe if he comes around... Maybe he won't think it's mine..."
"You can stay with me as long as you need to... we can go to the store and get you some stuff or I can get it from your place..."
"Steven, please stop" She spoke softly this time "I'll stay over tonight," she looked into his eyes intently, hoping if Jake was in there he'd remember to talk to Steven and Marc "but I'm not going to spend my life afraid of him. I refuse to let him ruin my last year at school. Okay?" she was scared out of her mind, but she was partially telling the truth. However, she didn't want to become dependent on Steven and she was worried about what Jake said. Sam didn't want him to burn himself out for her.
Steven considered her for a moment. Steven we can't just leave her alone with this out there we have to respect her wishes her wishes are stupid Marc... ...fine. "Okay sweetheart, whatever you need. If you need space, that's fine. But we are both going to be here, whatever it is..." Sam thought that this was the problem, but she didn't want to start in on it. She held Steven's hand for the remainder of the cold walk. Sam looked at Steven, wearing the scarf she made him, the sun was coming up and highlighting his features.
He looked over at her and smiled "What are you thinking of?"
She smiled back "Just about how handsome you look in the sunshine, Sunshine."
"I love you, so very much. You know that, right?"
They were arriving at the daycare "Of course, I love you too"
"Before you go..."
"Yes love?"
"Are you..." Steven paused.
Sam was concerned "It's okay honey, you can tell me"
"Are you mad at us? I'm sorry it just seemed like something was... I don't want to read too much into things..."
Sam's heart hurt for him "Oh, my love... no, why would I be mad?"
"Because we left for so long"
"That wasn't by choice..." she thought of Jake causing all these problems. she knew it wasn't going to be easy after work, this next part of their lives would be a period of adjustment, but he was worth it... She just hoped she was worth it for him... she needed to make herself less of a challenge for him. He has enough to deal with without her.
"I think... I think things will feel a lot clearer this evening. I'll see you tonight?" "Of course, call me when you leave for class?"
"Yes. I love you"
"I love you too"
Steven gave her a kiss and she felt bad his lips were cold, they were like that because of her
That day she called him when she went too and from her job to school and vice versa. Things seemed normal. There would be 3 hours between Steven getting off to when he is supposed to pick up Sam, either Jake would explain himself or Sam would have to explain what she knew.
6 O'clock rolled around and Steven was not outside. 15 minutes went by before Sam called to make sure he's ok, he didn't answer. Elena had already left, and the daycare closed at 7, which was ticking closer. She couldn't help but be a little annoyed, but she hoped he was okay... When 7 rolled around, the last parent came for their kid, it was a dad of a 5 year old she had known for years. He saw her sitting alone "Hello, are you okay?"
"Yeah" Sam sighed out "My boyfriend was supposed to come get me but... But he's an hour late and it's getting dark...So I was just getting ready to set out." she tried not to sound too irritated.
"Can we walk you home?"
"Oh no, no it's okay! I do it all the time, he was just supposed to be here..."
He insisted "We gotta show Jackson how to treat a lady," he motioned at his son "and that doesn't include leaving a lady to walk alone"
Sam considered declining, but it was late and she was still nervous about Jordan, and she trusted this dad. Besides, her phone had died.
Little Jackson insisted on holding Sam's hand on the walk. The conversation was relaxed and fun, they had talked a lot at different playschool parties and social events. That's one of the many things she liked about her job is all the socializing between parents and the teachers; it really fostered a relationship that was best for the kids.
When Sam saw Steven running to her, she knew right away he was distressed and she couldnt find it in her heart to be mad. "Steven?" She held onto Jackson's hand until his dad took over.
"Oh my god sweetheart, I'm so sorry, I-" he looked at the handsome man walking with Sam and couldn't help but feel jealous. you know him Steven? No... "Love, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I am. Josh kindly offered to walk me home." She turned to the man "Josh, this is my boyfriend, Steven. Steven, this is Josh and Jackson, a family from my playschool."
Steven pushed all his jealousy aside as best he could and extended his hand to Josh, which Josh took "Pleased to meet you mate, thank you so much for taking care of Sam"
Josh smiled and replied, as Steven also shook Jackson's hand "Well, the London streets can be rather dangerous for a girl to walk alone when it's getting dark" the subtle jab was lost on Sam, but not on Steven.
"Right, well, my flat is just around the corner, can I invite the two of you up for some tea"
To Steven's relief, Josh declined "I think we'll be heading home now. Sam, it was lovely talking to you as always"
Why did he emphasize that?
Sam smiled at him "Thank you so much for walking me, it really means a lot"
"Anytime"
Steven waved goodbye at Jackson and Jackson waved at Steven, smiling. As Sam and Steven walked on, she commented on the interaction "It seems you made a friend.
"It seems you made one too" Steven referenced Josh. It had just a bit of bite in the comment making Sam think it was Marc for a moment.
Sam stopped in her tracks "Excuse me?"
Steven immediately regretted what he said "Oh my god, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to say that outloud..."
"But you were thinking it... Are you jealous?"
He folded his hands together nervously "A little..."
"That's fine, but do not take it out on me" She pointed at him "You were over an hour late, and Josh was kind enough to walk me home, going out of his way. I have relationships with many daycare parents, many of which are dads. This is what's best for the kids, this way everyone communicates. You cannot have a problem with that. What's more is, I am allowed to have friendships with men. I have a close friendship with a man, you know this. I will not stop spending time alone with men just because you are jealous."
He took her hands in his "I know love, I know. I don't know why I said that. It's just been one hell of a day and- no, no I'm not making excuses. I really am, genuinely sorry"
Sam considered the fact that what he said wasn't actually that bad, she tried to push her anger back inside her. How could she be angry when he looked like that? "Did he talk to you?"
He briefly looked confused. She must've met Jake last night... That's why we were on the couch. That's why she's been acting strange all day... "You met him?"
"Last night... I guess he had blacked out when I called you and he didn't know I would be over..."
He gently touched her arm "Oh my, did he hurt you?"
"No... It seemed like he was threatening me though..."
"What? What did he say?" I'm going to kill him He's us Marc
"I told him I was going to tell you guys about him and he said I don't want to make an enemy out of him... I don't know what that is supposed to mean... But we talked for a while, or... I guess argued..."
"What did you argue about?" Steven looked confused and concerned.
She wanted to frame Jake in a bad light, but she really couldn't "He really cares about you two. I don't know much more about him except he is fiercely protective of you. Maybe that's why he doesn't like me..."
"He doesn't like you? Why wouldn't he like you if you make us so happy..."
"He thinks I worry you..." she kept it to the basics, but then deflected "What did he tell you? How long has he been around?"
"He just introduced himself in the mirror and I might've screamed a bit" Steven said, half jokingly "He said he's been around for a long time and explained that he... well he's been working for Khonshu... that's why he still have the suit."
"Oh. That makes sense... but I don't think he should be working for Khonshu if the two of you don't want to do it..."
"Marc and I agree but he refuses to stop, so I think we all just gotta learn to deal with it, I guess."
"You shouldn't have to..."
Steven took her cold hand and started walking "I know, I know, but he said it isn't very often... it's something we all have to figure out, you know? Living with each other... Is that Okay? He said he might be around more, but he promised to leave you alone. And you can still stay with us as much as you need to."
Sam didn't want him around at all, but what could she do? She wished he was more like Marc, it could be rough, but Marc was kind and Marc cared about her... Marc actually liked her.. "Yeah, it'll be okay Sunshine, we can work it out."
Something is wrong, she's hiding something... "Sweetheart, are you sure he didn't do anything?"
Sam smiled softly "He's just different from you two, it threw me off, that's all. Try to look on the brightside. He is here for a reason, and he is very defensive of you two. This is a good thing."
"Okay... you can tell me if he says or does anything that upsets you, okay? If he doesn't like you, that's going to have to be his problem." he took her in his arms "Let's get you home, I'll cook dinner. How do burrito's sound?"
Sam couldn't help but smile. She loved Stevens vegan burritos "That sounds delicious."
Sam woke up sweating. The nightmare had been horrible, graphic violence that she tried to push out of her head. She wanted to go back to bed, but she didn't want to remember the details of that dream and she didn't want it to come back. She pulled out her phone and began playing Candy Crush, deciding to just stay up the few hours left until it was time to get ready for work. It wasn't half an hour later when she felt the body beside her waking up. "Steven?"
He shook his head, getting out of bed.
"Marc? Everything okay?"
"You're shit out of luck here Carina"
Sam groaned loudly, pulling the blanket over her head "Why are you here?"
"Great question..." he muttered
She pulled the blanket off her head "Can I just get Steven back?"
"Would if I could"
"Oh what, you can't control it?"
Jake glared at her "I'm just as irritated as you are, I'm supposed to be the one in control. And until you came along, I was"
"Oh yeah, blame me, as usual."
"Isn't 3 AM a little early for your self pity?"
She threw a pillow at him "Don't blame me for this. How about you just be more open to them? Not make them black out, all that."
"Wow, thank you, you just fixed everything, super helpful" he headed towards the couch "I know you don't want me around, but you're stuck with me."
"Why do I have to be stuck with you? Can't you just give Steven the body and leave?"
He turned to her, annoyed "It's my body too"
"Technically, it's not your body"
"Technically, it's not Steven's body either. And yet, you and Steven seem to occupy most of it's time"
"Can we not talk about the body as if it's a separate entity?"
Jake chuckled.
Sam wasn't thrilled. "What?"
"I told you before, I think you're funny"
She flopped back onto her bed, groaning "Can you just go to bed, Marc gets cranky when he doesn't sleep"
He chuckled again "Yeah, he does. Are you going to go to sleep?"
"No, I can't sleep tonight."
"You're not as good a lair as Steven makes you think" he grabbed a throw blanket and walked around to the couch
"Jake... you don't have to stay on the couch when you're here"
"You don't want me in your bed."
"Maybe" she smiled "But technically" she echoed back to their previous argument "It's your bed"
He laid down on the couch "Good night"
"Good night, Jake."

TASK002: POLICE INTERVIEW
TIME: 28.06.23, EARLY MORNING WHO: ZHOU, MEI LOCATION: NIGHTREST POLICE STATION
Where were you last night, June 27th? Can anyone confirm this?
Mei felt a little sick, both because of the news of Azra's attack and because she hadn't eaten anything yet. "Oh, um… I was at home, with my roommate. He was there so he can confirm," she answered nervously. She was always so bad when it came to serious situations, holding back a smile or laugh because she knew it definitely was not the time.
How do you know Azra Nadir?
"We have a lot of mutual friends, but… she kind of scares me. Plus, one time she looked at me really weird when I told her that Ren and I lived together." Maybe Azra had a lash stuck in her eye that day. Thinking about it suddenly made her eyes water up, thinking about how maybe if she'd moved past their weird encounter, she could of given the younger some free classes to prevent all of this. "Actually, can I have a glass of water?" Mei spoke weakly, finding herself tearing up out of nowhere.
When and where did you last see her, or speak to her?
"She was at the festival, in a…" Tears streamed down her face, taking a sip of her water and wondering if it would be too much to ask for a tissue as well. "She looked so good, like, you don't even understand. You know how in mythology they have like sirens and stuff?" Her sobs grew louder, every word spoken between them, not even sure if anything she said was understandable at this point. "She looked just like one." Mei sniffled, suddenly feeling sick.
Do you know anyone at all that she did not get along with?
"Do you have a trashcan anywhere?" Mei asked, wiping away her tears and suddenly feeling her stomach queasy at the mention of possible turmoil. Perhaps it was because she'd gone to school for Peace and Conflict Studies, and the idea of someone attacking Azra simply because she was a little crazy made her upset. "I really… I have morning sickness. You wouldn't get it, neither of you look like you're married." She brought her hand up her mouth, resisting the urge to gag. "I don't know anyone she didn't get along with. I'm sorry," Mei added, before grabbing the trashcan that an officer had brought towards her, the remains of her dinner from last night going straight into it. "Do you have any tissues?"

The oldest sibling , especially when the youngest is going through something, is almost always forgotten. It isn’t purposeful or malicious most of the time, but it’s just a common response.
Joyce never means to brush aside Jonathan, it’s just an instinct after Jonathan became more ‘independent’ in a way with growing up and getting a job so early. Taking care of Will and helping her around the house. Then everything with Will and the upside down happening, it’s just solidified at that point. Jonathan would never blame his mother for it, but it hurts. And that hurt just builds up overtime.
Imagine it’s the smallest thing that sets off his breakdown too. Like after the upside down and Vecna’s defeat, they can all start to live normally again. Go back to school, be with their friends. It’s nice now that they’re all back together in Hawkins. Towards the end of the year, Jonathan gets awarded a scholarship or something to NYU for his photography portfolio. It’s a big thing and the high school is found this big award ceremony for the art program, his portfolio will be displayed and he’ll get the certificate. He really wants his family there, Hopper and El included obviously. Everyone is really excited.
Maybe it slips their minds, or maybe even Will or El have something earlier in the day and the celebration after that carried late into the night. (Tbh Will and El would most likely make it but angst Yknow) Either way, something happens where no one but Nancy ended up coming. She can tell Jonathan’s upset even if he tries not showing it. Every time someone walks in the room, he looks over all hopeful and deflates when he sees it’s not them. She tries her best to cheer him up, offers to take him to celebratory dinner like everyone was supposed to do, but he says he just wants to go home. When he does get home, seeing them all in the living room, he ignores them. Puts the certificate on the kitchen counter and goes right back to his room to lock himself in and blast his music in his headphones.
Joyce and Hopper wonder what that’s all about, see the certificate, and their stomachs just drop.
Okay, I have other headcanons I'm working on but I had to stop and do this one because I'm the oldest and I've had a much similar thing happen to me where everyone forgot my award ceremony in high school... I was class valedictorian and I was getting several scholarship certifications and all that mess and no one showed up. And my family had a house literally right down the street from my high school. I also didn't have many friends in high school lol. Before I dive in and hurt my feelings, I want to say I don't believe this would happen. I don't think Joyce would intentionally miss it and the twins sure wouldn't, but for the angst, let's just go with it.
But Jonathan having this huge moment. He's so excited and everyone is excited for him. But the night of comes and no one's there. I can't imagine El and Will not being there, but Joyce could get caught up with work and I can see Hopper not realizing the time and they don't show up. And he's devastated but he tries to hide it. Nancy says she's sure there's good reasoning, and El and Will just stand there and watch, both unsure about what to do. Nancy offers to take him to the celebration dinner, but he just brushes it off as being tired and asks to go home. Meanwhile Will is on the phone trying to call his mom's work and the house, but no one answers and he's irritated as he joins his brother.
El watches everyone come in the room full of Jonathan's work and tell him congradulations and say how proud Joyce must be of him and she sees a light in Jonathan's eyes die more and more with each one. So she grabs his hand and asks him to explain his work to her. He does, taking her hand and guiding her through the room and explaining, pointing out how pictures of her, Will and Nancy are his favorites. Nancy handles the people coming in, putting on a show about how yes, everyone is so proud of him. She knows they are but she's also upset for him.
Will joins in after attempting to call and follows Jonathan and El around as Jonathan explains his photography to them. Will knows all of it, but he notices the small smile on his brother's face as he goes into great detail about the inspiration behind the photos and why they're so special to him. He listens intently and then brings up the dinner again, telling Jonathan he deserves to be celebrated.
They do go out to dinner with Will's influence, but Will knows Jonathan is still upset about Joyce and Hopper. He tries to phone them again, but no answer once again. Nancy is fuming but she holds Jonathan's hand and brings up how excited he is for NYU. Jonathan agrees and El asks if she can visit him in New York, and Jonathan reminds her that she and Will are always welcomed. Due to the money they got from the government, Jonathan is able to get an off-campus apartment that's essentially paid for and Will and El are always welcomed there. He reminds them he's only a call away and Will says they know this, and tonight's about Jonathan, and he doesn't have to worry about the twins.
Once they get home, Jonathan lays the certificate on the kitchen table. Hopper and Joyce are in the dining room going over something, quietly, and he ignores them. The moment he walks in, Joyce remembers the award ceremony and how they missed it. She tries to talk to him, but he just walks in his and Will's room. El goes to her room after shaking her head at them but Will is the one that gets snippy. He looks at them and asks where they were, and reminds them how that night meant the world to Jonathan. Will also starts to see how Jonathan is pushed to the side a lot when it comes to him and El and it upsets him. He loves Jonathan so much and he feels guilty for it.
And Joyce feels just as horrible. Will walks back to his shared room and both Joyce and Hopper realize how much they messed up. Pits form in their stomachs and Joyce looks like she could cry. They both go to Jonathan's room and ask to speak to him alone. Meanwhile Will was trying to comfort Jonathan, who keeps insisting he's fine and tries to calm Will down. He assures Will he's fine and sends him away while he talks to Joyce and Hopper.
Joyce immediately apologizes and Jonathan tells her it's fine, but Hopper's the one to say it's not. They both got caught up with work and then had an argument, and they ended up forgetting about Jonathan's ceremony and it wasn't okay. He has every right to be furious with them. And Jonathan admits he was disappointed but not angry and when Hopper pushes again, Jonathan says he was angry, but he's used to it. He gets it. Jonathan has been on his own for as long as he can remember. He's taken care of Will, a house, school, held down a job, everything he needed to do. It's not Joyce's fault, Jonathan makes that clear, but it's just what they had to do to survive.
Joyce apologizes, agreeing that Jonathan's always been so independent and she's trying. Jonathan's taken care of himself and that's not fair on him. She doesn't want him to keep hiding his feelings, especially when he's not wrong for being mad. She apologizes over and over again, pulling him into a hug and telling him how proud she is of him and she always is and she's trying her best. Hopper also apologizes but Jonathan once again insists it's fine. He sees Joyce trying even more after that, but he doesn't want to hurt her by letting her know how badly she hurt him.

I'm trying to go off the Mucinex today. Fingers crossed! So far, unlike past mornings, I haven't had a coughing fit.
Our store manager has been extra spicy the last few days and I'm sure something is up, but I'm not sure exactly what. I had thought it was due to the coordinator coming in, but he came and left on Saturday (and, I believe, had little to complain about in Bakery). Sunday found her even more spicy. So, I'm not sure what's going on.
She's dressed down the floral manager (who comes in early if there are custom customer orders, works 6-7 day weeks if she must- including at other stores when they are short on help, and otherwise goes out of her way to do things in the store that aren't her job), the gm department (who had a whole 40-hour person cut out of their schedule a couple months ago and can't make up for that, there's now only two of them), and when I left yesterday my new department head (who is 21 and has never run a bakery department, only been back up in deli and worked some in bakery) was being verbally eviscerated. I've also heard from the Deli/Bakery head that she's been yelled at, too (she broke her arm week before last and she's still working). I can only conclude that the store manager is abusing all of the department heads.
When the store manager wandered into our department yesterday 15 minutes from the end of my shift looking perplexed I asked her if she needed something. She snapped at me. And then screeched over the intercom for my department head to yell at her.
We're a training store. People literally come to our store to train. But, she doesn't train. She leaves people dangling and then yells at them when they have issues. My department head looked like she was about to cry any minute and she (at least pretends) to be a hard woman. I felt bad leaving her like that and I texted her when I got home to see if she was okay, but she didn't answer me.
One would think that when there's a very small pool of people willing to take on a position, you would do what you can to support the people who do. Especially when those people seem to actively care about what they're doing. This is the third department head we've had in the two years under this store manager.
And, all of that aside, I'm not out of the line of fire myself: the store manager is upset that a lot of my in-store made product is winding up on the markdown rack. She thinks I'm over-producing and not following the computer assisted production. And, I'm not. I'm consistently baking LESS than what the computer says (many times by HALF or more) and it's still not selling. But, that's the price you pay as a company when you inflate prices: no one can afford a $5 coffee cake right now. I know I sure as hell can't. I felt dangerous spending an extra 50 cents on nicer sandwich buns last week.
But, I see where this is going. We're going to lower my numbers even more and then yell at me when I can't meet the start times for the tables. We've been here. You can not keep the tables "full" at start times and keep shrink low at the same time in our department. You've got to pick one. A year ago not keeping it full was the nitpick, so I've erred on that side. I bake a little extra so I have something on backstock to fill the tables with in the morning. And I stopped getting harassed.
And, I swear, if the solution is that I need to start coming in earlier I'm quitting bakery. Stuff me in some other department. Find some younger person who hasn't been around this merry-go-round so many times. If I thought it would make a real difference, I wouldn't be quite so mad. But, I've tried it. Not only didn't it make a difference, it wrecked my life.

Simon's holidays - Part 1: Dilemma
Tumblr media
"Simon, come down, please."
Dad is calling me from the ground floor of the house, and he's annoying when he does that. If he wants to talk to me, he can come upstairs. I decide not to respond, to act as if I didn't hear him. It hasn't even been an hour since I got back from school, and I just want to be alone.
"Simon!"
Once again, I decide not to respond and put my headphones in my ears. This way, if he comes up to my room, I'll have an excuse for not having heard him.
As I lay on my bed with my headphones in, I see the door suddenly swing open.
"You could answer when I call you!" my dad says, clearly a little irritated.
"I didn't hear you," I say as I take off my headphones. "I was listening to music."
These past six months have been a bit complicated for both of us. Mom died of pancreatic cancer. Everything happened fairly quickly between her diagnosis and her death, in less than a year, she was gone.
My name is Simon, I'm 11 years old, and I'm an only child. Before, we were a typical family and had great moments together. Since mom's death, nothing is the same. Dad is always on my case, asking if I've done my homework, telling me to go wash up, waking me up early, even on the weekends. I really miss Mom. Besides, Dad might have found a job recently. He stopped working to take care of Mom and remained unemployed for a few months after her death.
Dad seems a bit upset, and I'm not sure what he wants to tell me. Is it to say that his interview didn't go well?
"Like I mentioned, I had an interview today. I just got back from their place. It's not very close, and the trip took me about 45 minutes, but I like the job they're offering, and I'm going to say yes."
I'm glad. If Dad works again, he'll be away from home more often, especially if it's far. At least he won't be home when I get back from school, so I can play video games. He's strict about it; he always wants me to do my homework first, and he doesn't want me to play for more than 30 minutes a day.
"That's great," I say without really explaining why I'm so happy.
"I am happy, yes. It will be good for me to get out of the house and see people again. You know, Simon, we've talked about this before, and I know these past months haven't been easy for you, but they haven't been easy for me either."
I know that all too well, yes! It has affected both of us, even though we didn't experience it the same way. We weren't necessarily very close before Mom's death, and it hasn't improved afterward. We only talk when it's absolutely necessary, and we don't share much with each other.
"It's almost the holidays," he continues, "they're coming up really fast. It's Monday, and they start on Saturday."
Oh, yes, I had almost forgotten about the holidays. That's great; I'll be home alone for a week. I'll be able to sleep in, eat whenever I want, and play as much video games as I please.
"I know you wouldn't mind staying home alone, but I don't want it to go that way." "Why? Don't you trust me?" "It's not really a matter of trust," he says, "but more about safety and lifestyle. I can imagine how it would go; I wasn't born yesterday, I was young once too." "Ah, so because you didn't follow your parents' rules when you were my age, you think I won't either?" "Simon, don't take me for a fool either. We both know how it would go. Anyway, that's not the point of this conversation; I don't want you to stay home alone."
I'm disappointed by what my dad is telling me. I could have had some peace, but it seems I won't.
"So, where am I going, then?" "That's what I wanted to talk to you about. I see two possible solutions. The deadline is very short, and these are the only options I have."
I wonder what my dad is going to propose, and I'm somewhat anxious. I'm really afraid that I won't like what he's going to say.
"I haven't called them yet to see if it's possible, but the first option is to go to your grandparents." "You mean grandpa and grandma?" "Don't call them that; you know they don't like it. But yes, I'm talking about your mom's parents." "The answer is a straight 'no,' I absolutely do not want to go there. The last time didn't go very well."
The summer before, I had gone to stay with them for the holidays. I had never been there alone, and my parents had told me it would be great. Well, it was far from great. I wasn't allowed to do anything; they were stricter than my parents. I even asked my parents if I could come back early. I was bored like I'd never been before! On the second day, we had a big argument, and I stayed locked in my room, not wanting to come out.
On the day of departure, I didn't even say goodbye to them, and Mom was quite angry with me. I'll never set foot there again.
"I knew you'd say that," he replied. "The second option I have is the leisure center."
"But leisure centers are for little kids. You go there when you're in primary school, not when you're in middle school!"
"I'm almost certain it's not a matter of academic level but rather an age-related issue. I believe they can accommodate children from 3 to 12 years old. I inquired about it three years ago, and that's what I was told."
"But Dad, none of my friends go to such places!"
"You can make new friends there! Or even suggest that your friends sign up too."
What a bummer this leisure center thing is! I might end up with little kids, doing little kid activities.
"What's your decision, Simon?" Dad asks me.
"Well, I don't really have a choice. I'll go to the center."
"I just hope they have space. I'll call right away. And if they don't, you'll go to your grandparents'."
Dad then leaves my room, and I hear him go down the stairs. I also step out of my room and head to the landing, so I can eavesdrop on the conversation. From where I am, I can see him, but he can't see me. He taps on his phone for a few seconds, probably looking for the phone number, and then he puts his smartphone on speaker.
"Youth Service, Constance speaking."
Dad then explains the purpose of his call.
"I won't hide from you that it's going to be very complicated," the lady explains. "We already have a lot of reservations. I'll check the various leisure centers in the community. Can you remind me of your son's age?"
"He's 11 years old."
A few seconds pass before the lady responds again.
"In this category, I'm afraid we don't have any available spots left in any of the centers. I'm really sorry. Unless... let me take a few more seconds to check..."
"Yes, please tell me."
"After checking, I have one spot left in the Marots leisure center, but it's reserved for children with disabilities."
Dad doesn't respond immediately; it's as if he's thinking about what to say. I'm not disabled, so he can't answer yes; it would be immediately noticeable.
"I didn't want to bring this up to avoid highlighting it," my dad says, "but my son has issues with incontinence. Does that classify him as a child with a disability?"
I can't believe my ears! Dad is saying that I'm handicapped? That can't be true. Besides, I don't even know what "incontinent" means.
"Yes, of course," the lady responds. "That's perfect, then. We need to fill out a form as soon as possible to secure the date. When can you come?" "Wednesday afternoon, is that possible for you?" "I have a slot available at 2 PM." "Very well, I'll take that slot then. I'm Mr. Mitonno." "I've noted that in my calendar. Please take notes; I'll give you a list of the documents you'll need to bring: vaccination certificate, family record book, tax statement, proof of address, and a doctor's certificate stating that your child is disabled." "I've written it all down. Thank you. See you on Wednesday. Thank you, ma'am, and have a good day."
As soon as Dad hung up, I went back to my room. I don't want to show Dad that I overheard the conversation, and I prefer to wait for him to come to me. What I did catch, though, is that he'll need a medical certificate, and that's bound to be a problem. What doctor would be willing to provide a false certificate? Certainly not our doctor; Dad really doesn't like him, and I can't imagine him asking for that.
As soon as I closed the door, I grabbed my phone and typed the word "incontinent" into the search bar. Fortunately, the autocomplete feature helped me find the correct spelling. I started the search and found the definition.
I read the first result: "Lacking restraint or moderation," and I didn't really understand the meaning; it can't be that. I read the second definition: "Unable to control the discharge of feces or urine," with an example sentence: "An incontinent child."
My throat tightens. Is my dad trying to send me to a leisure center by making me out to be someone who wets or soils themselves? No, it can't be possible; he can't do that! I really can't believe what I just heard.
Shortly after, while I'm still lost in my thoughts, Dad enters my room. My throat has been tight since I overheard the conversation.
"I found a spot," Dad says without saying more.
"Where is it?" I ask.
"In a leisure center, very close by, actually."
"And was there space?"
"Yes, we have an appointment on Wednesday afternoon to complete your registration."
Dad doesn't seem to want to address the question that has been on my mind for a while. I'm not sure how to make him talk about it without telling him that I overheard the conversation. How does he think it's going to work if I'm at the center and I don't have the disability he told them about?
He does seem to hesitate, and I think he's afraid to talk to me about it, especially about my reaction.
"It's just that..."
"That what?" I ask impatiently, eager to see how he's going to broach the subject.
"I told them that you have a disability, that you have accidents... or more precisely, urinarya leaks."
"But that's not true! I'm not incontinent!"
As soon as I blurt out that word, I know that Dad understands that I overheard his conversation with the lady.
"You eavesdropped on my phone call, didn't you?"
"Yes, I listened, and it's ridiculous! You're willing to lie to get me to go to that leisure center."
"Simon, I did it for your sake! So you wouldn't have to go to your grandparents."
I can't believe he's saying he did it for me!
"But wait, if you tell them that I wet myself, and they see that I don't, they'll realize you lied to them. And how are you going to get the medical certificate? You're not going to do it yourself, I assume?"
"I'll take care of the certificate. I think I can manage to get one. As for the accidents, you'll have to actually have them, or they'll figure it out, yes, you're right."
"So you expect me to wet myself in broad daylight in front of everyone? In front of adults, but also kids? They'll make fun of me, I'll be the laughingstock of everyone. There's no way I'm doing that!"
I'm angry, and I think my tone of voice makes it clear to my dad.
"That's why I thought about the solution of wearing protections..."
"What is that?" I ask, annoyed.
"They're also called diapers."
"I'm not sure I understand what you're telling me. Let me rephrase: you want me to wear diapers like babies, is that it? I'm 11, Dad! I'm too old for that."
"Yes, that's exactly it, you understood perfectly."
"Even if I did, and I emphasize the word 'if,' the others would make fun of me! Can you imagine a boy my age in diapers?"
"You know, this condition actually exists. There are really people your age, and even older, who suffer from it and wear protection to make it inconspicuous. Because, yes, wearing a diaper is not visible. No one sees what's under people's clothes."
"I'll follow your thought," I say. "Let's assume I wear one, and it's not visible. If I don't pee in it, the leisure center staff will also realize it's fake, and they'll kick me out."
"That's why you'll have to play the role of an incontinent boy. If they ever catch on that we made a fool of them, they'll terminate the contract, and you'll be forced to go to your grandparents."
Dad is really putting me in a tough spot. He wants me to lie, to make a fool of myself by wearing diapers and wetting them. I can't accept that.
"I can't even believe you're asking me this; it's out of the question." "So, do you prefer to go to your grandparents?" "I don't prefer anything. I can't accept either of your two propositions." "And if I offered to buy you the new gaming console you've been asking for for over a year, would that help you decide?"
Dad is trying to buy me, offering me a deal! I really want that PS5. I've been bugging him for months to get it, and he always says it's too expensive.
"So, if I go to my grandparents, you'll buy me a console to take with me?" "No, of course not. If I offer to buy the console, it's for the option of the leisure center. Sending you to your grandparents would cost me money, and I don't have much right now. The leisure center option is much less costly, and the difference could cover the purchase of your console."
It's a tough dilemma. In essence, either I go to my grandparents and don't get my new console, or I go to this leisure center for five days and get a console.
"Okay, I'll go to the center!" "Be careful; let's be clear about this. You will need to genuinely appear as a child with incontinence until the end of the week. I'd even say until your 12th birthday and you're no longer eligible for a leisure center." "What do you mean?" "If, during other holidays, you can't go to your grandparents either, you'll have to return to that leisure center, and they must have no doubts that you faked your incontinence issues."
Oh yeah, so it's not just five days, after all... But we'll see about that when the time comes.
"And will I be allowed to play for more than 30 minutes a day?" "Don't push your luck; we'll see when the time comes. Just succeed in what I'm proposing first, and we'll decide." "The deal works for me; I accept."
As my dad says, no one but the center staff should see my diaper hidden under my clothes. And even if a 5-year-old did see it, why would they tell anyone? Plus, I can probably go to the bathroom discreetly. What bothers me the most is having to wet my diaper at least once a day. But if that's all it takes to get a new console, I'm willing to make that sacrifice!

He nearly dropped the basket in shock

luke Hemmings, over again pt.4
go read part, 1,2,&3
Maddie and Luke had been dating for almost a year now, they were best friends and they were inseparable, soon enough 2015 came along, Ashton and violet were still dating and the 4 of them made up the perfect friend group with their 2 new friends Michael and Calum. "happy new year babe" Luke said as he pulled away from the new years kiss him and Maddie had just shared, "happy new year, and 1 year anniversary Luke" Maddie smiled, " That too" he laughed. They spent a couple more hours with their friends then they went home to their shared house since they were both 18 now. everything was going great up until April 7th, they got into their first fight."hey Maddie, do we have any pizza" luke screamed up the stairs of their 2 story apartment complex, "no luke, we don't but if you want to buy some ho ahead" Maddie yelled annoyed with his laziness for not even looking for any pizza him self, "really Maddie, you don't have to be so bratty" Luke rolled his eye "I don't wanna hear it because you can't even open up refrigerator at 18" Maddie said loudly as she walked down the stairs and met face to face with Luke "it doesn't even matter you're the one making a big deal out of it" he protested, "your the one that called me bratty" she she said upset, "because you are a brat" he yelled, she couldn't believe it. the so called love of her life was calling her a brat, they had never fought before so she didn't know how to feel, all she knew was she wasn't there for it anymore, she ran back upstairs to the small bathroom and locked the door and cried. Luke was going to go talk to her but he decided to give her space. in late August. Luke and Maddie were invited to a party by Luke's friends boss. they went and had a blast that day. they didn't fight at all. they did meet a very nice girl named arzaleya she was super kind and quickly became friends with Maddie and Luke. Maddie did have a vibe that are arzaleya. might have liked Luke but she knew that luke wouldn't leave her for somebody else. in early September, Luke and Maddie went on a couple of vacation to Japan. they had a blast until one night. there was a big fight. it was over something really stupid. it was over the fact that Maddie thought arzalriked Luke. Luke denied it and closes her crazy. then she started mentioning how he would get phone calls and go to the edge of the house where she wasn't to answer it and he was being super secretive. she put all the pieces of the puzzle together and realized he was cheating on her with arzaleya she was furious. they ended up breaking up and Luke ran out of the hotel to his car? Maddie went out of the back of the hotel, called an Uber and went to the airport and went home to America. she grabbed all her things or mostly all her things from their house and left. that was the last time they'd ever seen each other. Maddie didn't know what to think about it nor did Luke. they were both heartbroken . The truth was Luke was never cheating on that. he was planning on doing something much better then that this thing he was planning Maddie would have loved and have been so excited about. unfortunately it didn't work out as planned. Luke took the ring out of his pocket and said it in the cup holder of his car and cried. he wished he could take back all the things they said all he wanted to do was get down on one knee to her but he screwed out. the truth is every time he would go to the edge of the house and answer a call would be about the proposal. just planning things. the rose petals in the hotel room candlelight the song he would write and the ring. he got it customized for her to put the words. are you mine inside of the ring? it was a huge diamond. he did not have anything else to do with it but to keep it

worries - sjy
summary: jake has a dream where you break up and you comfort him || warnings: none || genre: fluff, angst || word count: N/A
i woke up to the feeling of someone shaking me awake. i was startled a little though since i had lived alone so i wasn't really expecting someone to wake me up. though, when i opened my eyes and made eye contact with jake i let myself calm down. he sighed before he bent down and placed a soft kiss on my lips that were somewhat dry from sleep. he then pulled away but stayed bent down next to me.
"what time is it?" i say, wondering why it was still so dark outside.
"it's like two in the morning." my boyfriend responded as he caressed my puffy face.
"what's wrong? why are you here?" i asked the boy, worried- knowing that he wouldn't just come here in the middle of the night for nothing. besides, his energy seemed down- not just from it being so late or, well, early.
he didn't say anything i just watched as the man broke into tears in front of me. i watched as he rested his face on the mattress. i brought my hand up and rubbed his head, trying my best to comfort him.
"come in bed." i tell jake as i move over, leaving room for him.
he takes a deep breath before he crawls into the bed next to me. he then wraps his arms around my waist and we both lay there, holding each other- not saying a thing.
"i-" he tries to talk but he can't- his crying interfering.
i caress his head, playing with his hair in a gentle manner, "take your time." i quietly say, trying my best to be there for him in the way that he needed at this moment.
"i had a dream- no, a nightmare." jake says after a minute of calming himself down.
"do you want to tell me about it?" i ask.
"in the nightmare, you left me. it was so abrupt, i guess? one day you just decided you didn't have feelings for me anymore." he tells me. "it's so pathetic, honestly." jake then says.
"what's pathetic about it?" i ask.
"that i'm so upset over a stupid fucking dream. also that i came all the way here just cause i was so upset over it." jake answers.
"there's nothing wrong with that." i tell the boy. "i just want you to know that i'm never gonna leave you. i'm literally so in love with you and that feeling hasn't even lessened after all this time of dating- if anything it grew." i tell the boy, reassuring him with my honest feelings.
he sighs and i bring my hand up, wiping a tear that slid down his cheek before placing a kiss on his lips. "i know you love me and god, i love you so much too. i guess that's why i get so upset over this- i truly want to be with you forever." jake tells me.
"me too." i say, a smile forming on your face and you tried to hold it back due to the sad atmosphere but you couldn't. those words were words you loved to hear coming out of his mouth and his mouth only.
"promise you won't leave me." jake says.
"i promise that i'll never leave you." i tell my boyfriend. "now try and get some sleep and i promise, i'll be here in the morning with you if you want to talk more about this." i say.

"Tell me about your favorite train in all of history."
Tumblr media
"You are possibly expecting a different answer but... It's the one I will never remember exactly."
Emmet pats the seat next to him and leans back on his chair, rocking it with a creak along the wooden floor.
"I was ten, maybe eleven? Ingo and I would sneak out all the time to have battles, even-though we didn't have a full team yet. The air would feel like hot candy from how exciting these disobedience felt, and we would run around like crazy, stopping every trainer with a determined look on our faces. Some would start to get mad at us, mistaking us for another and saying they already battled us. You know."
"One of those days, we discovered the Gear Station! We would hide in the cabin on the subway's last car, and move inside later on to challenge the commuters. You can tell that the early idea of the Battle Subway was born then. We were wreak such chaos."
"Well..." Emmet took a deep breath as a nervous laughter escaped. "I like winning more than anything else. And Ingo is verry strong, making me work hard for the win. Sometimes, I would push my limits to get that win. Hiding in the cabin, such a small place for battle, now I can tell, we were having such a great battle! And..."
Emmet shrugged, looking away. "I used a fire move, which, in that small space, exploded in my face. It felt like... time stopped. Nothing else could move as fast as my fear, fear that my twin was hurt--... And once I saw the shocked face of Ingo, I knew that he was alright. But I wasn't. Everything started to hurt."
Emmet raised his gaze just to offer a small smile, before taking a deep breath.
"I heard screams. And, I do not know if the train stopped due to the emergency, or that we were near the stop thanks to our luck. But it did. And a depot agent, the ones we would avoid like durant running away from a heatmor, picked me up. I don't know when. But I could remember the dark circles under his eyes. That he was saying something to me. I couldn't hear. I fell."
Pulling at the ponytail, Emmet gestured. "When I woke up, Ingo was there. Our parents wouldn't be bothered. We weren't supposed to be seen in hospitals like some common folk, yet, here I was. And my hand-" Emmet patted his head, like he was reliving that moment again "-went to my hair. It was not there. So short. We weren't allowed to have it so short. I... I was free, in a way? I was upset. I cried. But also, it was... freeing. My biggest disobedience yet! I couldn't believe I did that."
He sighed, closing his eyes, his smile growing tired under the weight of the recalled memory.
"My favorite train is the one I will never know. The one where I was saved. Where I was freed. The dark circles under the eyes. The depot agent had left me his hat so that I would not be too sad. And... I wish I knew which train it was. I wish I could have kept that hat. I..."
Emmet giggled, despite the tears filling his eyes.
"I wish I could meet that agent and thank him for saving me."

chapter 4
december 5th, 1984.
snow days brought back a lot of good memories from when tara was really little. ones that she knew she'd never forget.
one time it snowed on her birthday and everyone was snowed in at the university. little tara was really upset, because peter was too busy to take her outside to play in the snow. so, ray and egon took her out instead. to say she had a blast that day, was an understatement.
ray and egon did everything they could to make sure she had a fun and happy childhood.
when tara looked out her window this morning. she was more than happy to see it was snowing.
she sprang out of bed, putting all her warmest clothes on.
she ran down the stairs, running past the boys who weren't so wide awake like she was just yet.
peter furrowed his brows when seeing his daughter run past him.
"what's got her so excited?" he wondered.
"it's snowing outside." ray informed him.
"oh, right." he remembered.
when she got outside, tara let out a small squeal.
she absolutely loved this time of the year.
it brought back so many memories and the vibes were immaculate around this time.
she ran across the street where more of the snow was.
she laid right down on it, staying that way for about twenty minutes or so.
she felt a presence standing before her, her eyes had been closed.
she opened them up revealing her father standing before her with a cup of coffee in hand.
"what are you doing?" he asked her.
"living my best life. what about you?" she asked him.
"freezing to death." he said before taking a sip of his coffee.
she sat up. "oh, don't be a pussy. it's not that cold out." she swatted some snow at him.
"it's below freezing tara." he stated.
"so?" she shrugged.
"so? i'm freezing." he clarified.
tara rolled her eyes.
"don't be such a grinch dad." she told him off.
she got up onto her feet, brushing the snow from off her pants.
she let out another sigh as she turned around, looking up at the pale blue cloudless sky.
she had her back on peter for a minute too long.
she gasped when a snowball hit her straight in the back.
she slowly turned around, giving her dad a death stare.
"you.did.not.just.do.that." she said through clenched teeth.
peter couldn't help but smile. "oh, i think i did do that." he confirmed.
tara bent known and made her snowball.
"you are going to regret you did." she told him.
"oh. i don't think i will." he shook his head.
tara threw her snowball right at him, expect peter moved out of the way having missed the snowball by an inch.
she formed another snow ball and another one and another one.
having missed peter each and every time she threw one at him.
"agh!" she groaned. "can't you let me get you just this once?!" she snapped.
he shook his head. "nope. i like seeing you suffer." he told her.
"hmph!" she huffed.
she stormed off, making her way back to the firehouse.
just as she reached the said firehouse, she felt yet another snowball hit the back of her head.
she turned towards her father who was still across the street.
"you gotta work on your aim!" he called out to her.
tara flipped him off before moving inside.
"hmph!" she huffed again, stomping her feet on the welcome mat to get the snow off her boots.
after taking them off. she went inside, going into the kitchen where the rest of the boys were.
"lemme guess, he threw snowballs at you?" winston assumed.
"yep. and he wouldn't let me hit him back." she answered.
she sat down in the empty seat next to winston.
"he's a jerk." she mumbled.
"yeah, he is." he agreed.
"can you get back at him for me?" tara asked him.
"you don't even have to ask, you know i will." he assured her.
tara smiled. "i know."
egon came into the kitchen, he had been working in his lab pretty early this morning.
he was typically up before anyone else.
"hi egon." tara greeted.
"is peter outside?" egon asked.
"yep. he threw snowballs at me." she answered.
the door to the garage closed, indicating peter had just come in.
"speak of the devil.." tara mumbled.
"peter! you're tracking the snow inside!!" they could hear janine yell.
"he is such a five year old." she rolled her eyes.
"that was fun." peter breathed out a sigh, when he entered the kitchen.
"wasn't fun for me." tara grumbled.
"oh, don't be such a grinch." he teased.
she glared at him.
she let out a sigh. "well, i'm going back outside." she announced.
"don't be out too long. i don't want you catching a cold." egon advised.
tara rolled her eyes. "i'll be fine, egon. i promise." she promised him.
when she went outside, she accidentally bumped into someone.
"oh! i'm sorry." tara exclaimed, helping her up.
she was light skinned with brown hair and blue eyes.
"no, no you're good. it was my fault." the girl brushed her off.
"i think it was mine. but whatever." tara said.
"what's your name?" the girl asked.
"my names tara and you?" she said, holding out her hand.
the girl took it, shaking it lightly. "amanda."
"pretty name." tara complimented, retracting her hand from the girl.
"yours too." the girl said back.
"you live around here?" tara asked.
"yeah. just a few blocks down." amanda answered.
"nice. well, it was nice meeting you." tara said with a smile.
"nice meeting you too." amanda said back. "see you around?" she asked.
tara nodded. "sure thing."
amanda and tara said their goodbyes.
tara was so happy she finally made a friend. a friend her own age, someone that was a girl.
*
"guess what." tara said at dinner that evening.
"what?" ray said.
"i made a friend." she announced.
"friends? i don't remember you having any of those before." peter pointed out.
"not sure if i remember you having any either, dad." tara shot back.
"well, what do we call these people?" he asked, pointing to the other boys sitting with them.
"family." tara replied.
peter thought about it for a second and nodded. "true." he agreed with her. "but, i do have friends." he said as he went to go take a bite of his food.
"unless they're imaginary friends then sure you have friends dad." tara sassed him.
"what's their name?" winston asked.
"amanda." she answered.
"does she live close by?" ray asked her.
"yeah, a few blocks down. hopefully, i'll be seeing her more often." tara hoped.
"when did you meet this girl?" egon chimed in.
"oh. um. today." she replied.
"then she isn't your friend, if you just met her." peter corrected her.
tara glared at him. "let me be happy, just this once okay?" she threatened him.
peter thought about it for a moment.
her glare intensified.
he sighed. "fine. i'll let you be happy, just this once." he caved in.
tara sighed. "good. because you wouldn't have heard the end of it."
"i'm pretty good at tuning you out." peter assured her.
"same goes for you." she shot back.
"i'd like to meet this amanda." egon announced.
the last time tara had a friend, egon scared them off by putting the fear of god in them by basically saying if you hurt tara, i hurt you.
"you don't have to do that!" tara denied.
"i will." he protested.
"egon." winston turned to him. "i've heard stories, horror stories of what you told tara's friends when she'd bring them over. just for this once, don't do that. it's okay to be protective, but not to the point where you overstep the boundaries. okay?"
egon sighed. "fine. but if she hurts you." he began.
"egon. it's fine. i've only just met her like today." tara assured him.
"but i'll keep watch." he told her.
"oh, i know you will." tara said, taking a bite out of her steak.
they all knew he would.
