I've spent nearly $15000 on my waifu at this point. I've tried explaining to people that is normal for a hobby you're really into.

A hobby is a hobby, I have probably a good 5k invested into my visual novel collection.

If it makes you happy and you are able to afford it there is no shame as you aren't hurting anyone. Live your life without giving a shit if people "get it" as that's an impossible standard and you'll just end up miserable.

You need in life to make only one person happy and that's yourself that's the only person who you are inherently obligated to make happy no matter what others wellbeing may be something you are obligated to assist but their happiness isn't yours!
