our love was so great and rare, that it could simply not exist in any other dimension or universe. we were meant to be in a way that cannot be taught.

it cannot be recreated.

i was born into this world and jake was not. it was so strange, but it was so right. i never looked for love until i was staring at it - staring at him.

it was currently night. not too cold, not too hot. a perfect mixture of something in-between, as we were lying on the ground to look at the stars. well, one can argue that there isn't any stars on the sky and they would be correct – but it was still something we wanted to do, regardless of what you want to call it.

"Have you done this before?" Jake asked me as we layed down in the grass, looking over at me. I shook my head, following his lead down on the ground.

"No. I have never been bored enough." I said, smiling. it's true, i had not been bored enough to look up at the sky for hours and hours with no end. I'd grown up with this sky, i knew how beautiful it was. yes, it was very beautiful, and i loved it - watched it too - but never unless i was in bed looking up. Jake told me that didn't count as "sky gazing" - i laughed in his face. he had a way of getting the last word and finding a way around the fact to be correct.

"It doesn't move much, huh?" Jake said after we'd been lying there for a couple of minutes. I shook my head, though he wouldn't see it.

"No. But it is still very beautiful, don't you think?" I asked, still looking up. It was strange - i didn't usually like being still for too long. I preferred doing stuff. Move. however, I felt very safe around Jake. like nothing could harm us in any way. we were in our own bubble of safety when we were together. i protected him and he protected me.

In the cornor of my eye, I saw him turning his head to the side, looking at me.

"yeah." he began, "very beautiful."

with that, i turned my head to look at him too. i slowly let my head fall to the side he was on, quickly noticing the little space between us. but it had not startle me at all, or make me back up like i'd done before when we'd gotten very close.

when i turned, my eyes had been placed to look at his lips. though i was not one to complain, i slowly adjusted them to look him in the eye - but he was already looking into mine, causing my heart to skip a beat.

we just looked at each other for a couple of seconds, trapped in our own little world. we didn't always have to speak - the silence was comfortable and warm.

after a moment of silence, you could see jake's lip corners turning upwards and i couldn't help but follow his lead and do the same. Pretty soon we were smiling at each other like two dorks.

Then, a soft but very genuine laugh i was no longer able to keep away escaped through my teeth. as i laughed, i covered my face with my hands and looked up again – but jake did not laugh. he just kept grinning at me. As i slowly stopped, I looked over at him again. My smile slowly faded as i looked into his eyes and realised why i'd began laughing in the first place. i'd gotten nervous. jake sully had made me nervous by just looking into my eyes. so nervous, i hadn't even realised until it gotten a moment away.

Jake's smile slowly faded with mine, leaning his head forward. Automatically, I leaned mine towards his, shutting my eyes slowly.

Our bodies knew where to stop before we hit each other and broke the moment, our foreheads resting on each others now. it felt so comfortable and intimate. I felt his warm hand being put on my cheek, his thumb moving very slowly back and forward. I felt my blood rush to where he was holding on both sides of my face – if i wasn't blue, i'd be red.

very carefully, i leaned my jaw upward. i leaned it far enough up to reach his lips, kissing him ever so softly.

Brother Caught My Eyes First: high-key Neteyam but low-key Lo’ak

Favorite Couple: Tsireya and Lo’ak (reminded me of Neytiri and Jake)

Dislike Of The Movie: Spider saving Quaritch (LIKE WHY!?!?) and Neteyam dying (he deserved better but could of kept him alive)

summary; you were going back to your pod as you were walking you heard someone mentioned neteyam a girl , you slowed down your pace as you listened to their conversation. you quickly learned that neteyam was seen talking with a girl just not any girl, one of the afew best hunters. your body tensed as they said they wouldn’t be surprised if they began to court each other, your heart shattered in tiny pieces due to imagining neteyam with another that isn’t you. you started getting distant from him which he did not like, to him you were everything. you were everything he wanted, he did not want you drift away from him he decided to take matters into his own hands and confront you.

“name. why are you acting weird” neteyam showed up unannounced at your pod which spooked you, your parents wanted some alone time for themselves so they left and didn’t forgot to tell you. the olo’eyktan and tsahìk welcomed you and your family as you arrived with the sully family and you were one of the last ones of the anurai clan, your clan skills was needed for clothings such as neckpieces and weapons.

“how am i acting weird neteyam.” you continued on carving and polishing the bone your father gave you which he took on one of his hunts earlier before going away with your mother, you felt his presence next to you as he was examining what you were doing before sitting down by your side. “tell me” you placed the bone and the tools you were using down and shifted your attention on him.

“well you never call me by my full name, you didn’t go to the lessons today in fact i never saw you for the whole day. mind telling me what’s going on with you today?” he answered your question in sternly tone; you scoffed in response, you stared into his eyes as he did the same. you shifted your attention back to the bone you received from your father, “nothing. nothing is going on with me, shouldn’t you be spending time with your mate instead of me” you grimaced thinking they mated already, there’s a possibility they already did.

“mate?” he titled your chin with his finger and thumb to get your attention on him, you looked at him in confusion as he tucked your hair behind your ear. “isn’t polia your mate? and keep your hands to yourself..” you slapped his arm away as neteyam gave you a look of confusion at your actions and parted his mouth “yea sure polia is my mate, didn’t i tell you that yesterday?” your heart skipped a beat at his words as your body tensed which didn’t go unnoticed by him. “oh. congrats”

“yea, we mated today just a few hours ago” tears begin to make their way down your cheek, you felt like there was something stuck in your throat. how come he choose someone over me which he didn’t know for years?.. you pondered as you picked one of your tools and craved a symbol onto the bone, “that’s great.” you managed to speak without your voice breaking, you hid your face behind your hair. begging for him to stop talking and go away as you don’t want to look weak in-front of the boy you loved for your whole life.

you felt his hand on your shoulder, you swiftly turned your head to ask what he was doing till he placed his lips against yours. your eyes widened at his actions and pushed him away “what are you doing neteyam, you have a mate for ewya’s sakes.” you hissed out and stood up which he followed after, he pulled you close and his mouth once again parted to speak. “polia isn’t my mate. we never mated, you are so oblivious it hurts” you titled your head up to look at him in confusion

“name, i always loved you when we’re kids. i always did, i never realized it till three days ago when you left after spending time with me and my family, they sat me down and talked about how they wanted polia as my mate since i passed my rites of passage. i refused and they eventually made me realize how you made me feel wonderful things. i never thought about starting a family cause i was so focused on my responsibilities as the eldest brother, basically what im trying to say is do you want to be my mate for my whole entire lif —” you smashed your lips against him to shut him up, he pulled you closer and caressed your cheek as joy tears begin to roll down your cheek. both of you pulled away due to no oxygen

“is that a yes?” he smiled as you rolled your eyes, you felt his arms wrapped around you as you smiled and answered his question. “yes you skxqwng.” he pulled you in a kiss once again and pulled away “come with me” he grabbed your hand and quickly ran to the forest ignoring the stares of others, lo’ak yelled out which neteyam ignored and you looked behind to see him with the rest of the family. you saw polia smiling and waving at you, you turned your head to neteyam

neteyam stopped which you stumbled into his back, you cursed out as he simply smiled at your antics. you looked around and noticed that the both of you were infront of the tree of voices, your eyes shifted to him as he was holding his braid waiting for yours to connect. “are you sure nete?” you worriedly asked as he nodded “my parents know and they talked to the olo’eyktan and tsahìk, they agreed to letting us mate due to polia already having her eyes on one of the sons” his answer washed away all of your worries and you grabbed your braid to perform tsaheylu.
