Okay I am seeing people say that this isn't minecraft RP any more, it's just a minecraft event, and while I'm tracking with you, I am also an avid watcher of the Life Series series of SMPs, and I assure you that you'd be surprised at the RP and lore that can come out of a challenge death game with strict rules and unexpected team-ups. This is just the "everybody getting settled" episode, but even IF there aren't more twists coming, it's highly possible that we get more lore and RP type situations than you'd expect as the event continues.

I spent too much time writing young Amon and Lieutenant in the two weeks verse. Almost forgot they were violent and depressed middle aged men in the show.

Hear me out:

Rex being desensitized to any kind of gorey thing, or at the very least he isn't scared of anything Emmet is anymore.

BECAUSE, at this point, he's seen things much more horrifying than blood or guts, or mangled corpses, or any of the standard horror movie scary things.

Like after Undar his view of reality is so fucked up to the point he just doesn't register what should be horrifying to a normal person as something he should be worried about.

He spent so much time in the 'real world', seeing the kids playing with the legos that he's bound to have seen them take the minifigures apart to build new ones.

Sooo, he's gonna have an even bigger existential crisis. And that's just him falling into the 'nothing is real' mindset. So if he does see these things when he's back in his world.

He can still process the fact that you know dead person. But he's just having less of a freaked-out reaction compared to what Emmet would have.

Raptors could also contribute to his apatheticness because of how they attack/eat things. Hmmmm.

Does this make sense? My thoughts are all over the place

Jack's throat jumps like he wants to stuff the words back down, retract the sharpness back inside him, to tear his own heart to shreds if it means sparing Davey's.

"Just - just you..." Jack murmurs. His head hangs fragile in the space between them, but he still meets Davey's gaze, his eyes quivering, showing the whites, the way a stray looks hopefully at a bare hand despite knowing better. "Ain't that enough?"

14. going on a sleigh ride

It took her all of five minutes when they left the planet’s atmosphere to realize they weren’t headed back to Galactica or to Colonial One. With a soft hum, she raised an eyebrow and glanced over at Bill, taking the opportunity to watch how he focused on flying the Raptor. Movement caught her attention and she turned back to the window, scanning the star-speckled blackness. 

“Bill?” her eyes narrowed at his reflection, “Where are you taking us?” Despite the lack of contrast, she was able to see his smile. “There’s more to see.” “The stars?” A flash of light made her narrow her eyes and she focused on it, surprised to see it growing larger and closer. The brightness dimmed as it approached until finally she was able to make out the sleek body of a Viper—she couldn’t tell who piloted it from this distance.  It was followed by several others, which appeared too quickly in front of them. She wasn’t able to keep up counting them as they zigzagged back and forth in front of the Raptor, flying close enough to each other that she found herself holding her breath as she watched. They began to slow down and soon hovered near each other, noses pointed outward and tails barely inches apart like a large snowflake in space. Laura gasped and leaned forward, her eyes wide and her hands folded in front of herself.  “Oh, my gods,” she whispered, a large smile forming as she inspected each ship that made up the snowflake and barely able to make out the frosted wreaths and garlands on the side of the Vipers.  “What do you think?” Bill asked softly and she turned to find him watching her.  “I can’t believe you did all this.” She bit her lip but couldn’t contain her smile.  “This was all them.” He waved his hand toward his pilots. “It’s their gift to you.”  “Oh, Bill.” Affection washed over her and she turned back to the ships with tears brimming her eyes. “Thank them for me, please.”

Hello! As warned, it has been two weeks since the last episode of Vex's Mechs and Memes and now it is time for the one people have voted upon.

The vote was unanimous! Everybody wanted me to cover one of Vex's other Lancer memes. While I could have not done the one I suggested in the poll (the In Golden Flame one), I figured it would be fun to do that one:

If you read all the text before listening to the audio file you'll get to know in advance that I did not spokesman all the text. Specifically, I did a different voice for "Heh... well, this sucks." and gave my best(?) Richter Hammockslam impression for a certain starship pilot (with the beating on my chest and everything!).
