Tengen loves to joke about having a husband, saying that he could use another man to help balance things out. Especially since he’s out numbered by his wives. He’s always spoken of the topic lightheartedly, never super serious and fairly content with his current situation. That is… until a new male corps member joins the ranks of Hashira. For once in his life, Tengen is at a loss for words, completely unsure of how he should approach you. Tengen actually being nervous to talk to you never mind pursue you in a romantic manner. It takes Makio, Suma, Hinatsuru and Kyojuro to convince the sound pillar to even approach you. The thing Tengen isn’t aware of… Kyojuro already told you about Tengen’s interest in you. Having a husband didn’t sound quite bad, especially knowing that you were able to make a man like him nervous. You come on stronger than Tengen, letting him know it’s okay to make a move. You’re just as interested in him as he is in you.

“So… big boy. I heard you were looking for your first husband.” It boosts your confidence watching his face turn a deep shade of pink. “I-Uh who… it was Kyojuro wasn’t it…” you nodded laughing softly as the man before you squirmed. “Have you ever been with a man before? Demon Slayer • Father Figure Tengen x Muzan's Son Reader • Reader was a weak half demon that refused to help his father find the spider Lily. A traveler mistook the boy as human when he found Reader severally injured on the side of the road, he was took to the butterfly estate since it was close by in hopes for the boy to be healed. When the Hashiras found out he was a demon, he was prisoned. That is when Tengen and him got close, Reader seeing Tengen as a father that he always wanted. (take your time! Love you, friendo!)

(Name) was only five in human years when his dad nearly killed him and abandoned him on the side of a road.

Scared and cold the little half demon clung helplessly to his blankie, the only thing he had of his mother.

His body was shutting down and he felt so alone.

Half demons healed at a much much slower rate, (name) accepting death.

"Oh poor thing, let's get you to a doctor."

Waking up in a warm bed felt weird, the small child clinging to the blankets helplessly as people checked on him "he's so cold..." One of them commented as they tried to warm the boy up.

See, the tricky thing about half demons is that they have a weird combination of both human and demon.

They can die of old age but they're aging process is incredibly slow.

They have blood magic but it's nowhere near as strong.

And unlike demons they can eat human food and go into sunlight, they're just very sensitive to the latter.

(Name) could honestly live a normal life if he chose too.

But his dad had other plans.

He wanted to raise (name) to be the perfect weapon despite his flaw of being a human.

He wanted (name) to find the spider lily.

(Name) didn't want to help his dad find some flower, the small child not understanding the gravity of why it was so important.

Muzan didn't like it.

One bit.

So Muzan did what he felt logical.

Kill and abandon the child and start again.

Though he didn't successfully kill (name) as the small boy was still alive.

Cracking his eyes open he saw a traditional room, gas lamp beside him as a woman with pretty purple eyes and a butterfly clip dabbed warm water on him to try and regulate his body temperature.

"Oh! You're awake, how are you feeling?" The lady asked and (name) was hesitant to answer as he looked down "I'm good, thank you miss..." His voice meek and soft as he refused to make eye contact with her.

He would face dire consequences if he did so.

"Where are your parents little one?"

"Mamas gone... Papa hates me"

"Why do you think that?"

"Wouldn't find a stupid lily so papa got rid of me..."

"....what kind of lily" the air in the room shifted as everyone stared at the child...his eyes....they looked like...his.

"Buu spider lily..."

"Take him to the dungeons" was all he heard before he was taken down to a cold cell...reminded him of where father would put him if he didn't behave.

Curled up he cried, realizing he didn't have his blankie made him even more upset.

Tengen walked down to the dungeons, requested by the others to figure out what the kid was up to and kind of interrogate him.

When tengen got to the demons cell he wasn't expecting practically a baby, sobbing away "thought you would have been older..." Tengen said catching the boys attention and Tengen watched him physically flinch and curl up more "I'm sorry..." The boy mumbled and repeated the phrase, genuinely scared of the man.

"Hey... I'm not gonna hurt you, I just have a few questions..."

(Name) stared at him with teary eyes but didn't say anything else.

"Pretty scary down here... Are you hungry?"

(Name) shook his head but his stomach said otherwise, a loud growl rang out and (name) cried a bit in worry.

"Hey... It's alright, we all get hungry" Tengen said softly and (name) fiddled with his little fingers "is there anything I can do to make feel better?"

(Name) was quiet for a moment before speaking "my blankie..." His little voice melted Tengens heart and the white haired man nodded "alright... I will be right back alright?"

"Promise?"

"I promise"

When tengen came upstairs be was livid.

They wanted him to interrogate a toddler!

He didn't care if that was Muzans child, all he saw was a scared abandoned toddler who needed someone to save him.

But first that kid needed food.

And his blankie.

He made a simple dish for the toddler, nothing crazy and grabbed his blanket and a small cup of tea to wash it down.

(Name) was surprised when the man came back with so much for him.

"Here you go, it's not a the fanciest but I like it" he said wrapping the boys blanket around his tiny shoulders "and this is some tea, it's cool enough to drink now"

"Have you ever had this?" Tengen asked the small child who shook his head "what have you had?"

"Nefer had food... Father made me eat pink squishy stuff and yucky red stuff... It always made me feel weird"

It didn't take a genius to realize what he talking about.

Flesh and blood.

The thing about half demons is they can eat flesh of humans and gain power like a demon but it doesn't taste good.

It tasted to (name) how raw flesh would to a human.

Since no one else ate human food around him, he didn't know much about it.

"Well I promise you this is really yummy"

Tengen held a chopstick to (name)s lips and the tot opened wide and looked pleasantly surprised at how yummy it tasted.

The two spent the next half hour like this, Tengen feeding the small boy who somehow ended up in his crossed lap and Tengen learned that this boy wasn't a threat at all.

He was just a little boy who desperately needed love.

And Tengen wanted to give him all of it.

"Let's go upstairs yeah?"

The others were horrified as he carried the little boy in his arms and spoke oh so softly to him.

"He's a demon!"

"He's a toddler who just had green tea for the first time and his mom's human, he's half"

"He still shares blood with that monster!"

"A monster he's terrified of, he's five...he doesn't understand what his dad is doing all he knows is he hurt him and never loved him"

The other hashira looked sceptical as Tengen continued "I will take full responsibility for him...just give him a chance before turning him away"

The others begrudgingly agreed and allowed him to keep the spawn.

The following days the others watched Tengen interact with the child, setting him up in a room and getting him a few toys, the little boy crying.

He had never been given a gift.

(Name) was practically his shadow, following him everywhere and holding onto his pant leg.

A week became a month and a month became six.

Tengens wives took the small boy in with open arms, doting and loving.

"Goodnight (name)..." Tengen said softly to the boy he had grown to love.

"Goodnight papa..."

Tengen wanted to cry right then and there, he had seen the boy as his own but never said anything as he didn't want to push the boy but now...

He was his dad now.

And he had never been happier.

Hashiras x Male! Xiao Reader

AN: Thank you for the request Swivy! I'm not sure what format you wanted the post in or who Tsukasa is so I settled for the Xiao reader concept and some of the Hashira that I'm more familiar with!

Request: Yes Summary: Rengoku, Tengen, Sanemi, and Shinobu's thoughts on a male reader with Xiao's general attitude/Personality. Reader uses some derivative of wind breathing because Xiao and Anemo go hand-in-hand. Warnings: N/A

Kyojuro Rengoku

Does not understand M/N at all, but doesn't let it phase him either.

What do you mean you want to stay away from the other demon slayers? Karmic Dept? Such nonsense! Just come with him and you'll make friends in no time at all! Kyojuro knows just how to help!

He met M/N by pure happenstance, passing through a village shortly after nightfall. The H/C-haired man was dueling with a demon not too far from the outskirts- and doing just fine by the Hashira's standards.

M/N ripped through the sick creature with clear and concise strikes, showcasing great skill in his breathing form as he jumped around the demon he was fighting, dodging attacks and almost seeming to dance in the air as he counterattacked, leaving gashes quicker than the beast could regenerate. Then, with one swipe? It was over. The head was sent toppling to the ground, and the body along with it.

Rengoku could only beam at him and clap as he approached, congratulating M/N on a job well done. He didn't notice the apprehension in his body language at all as he set his hand on the smaller man's shoulder, a giant grin on his face.

He'd already been impressed at the show of strength from such a young-looking member of the force, but to learn that this was the 5th demon he'd had to deal with in the past few days? The sheer dedication was astounding.

M/N did not appreciate this in the slightest and was blunt in stating so. Rengoku might've toned down on the physical contact that made him uncomfortable but didn't do the same for his volume or enthusiasm, much to his subordinate's chagrin.

This kept up well into the future as M/N climbed the ranks, with the Hashira asking about his exploits and how his missions had been going.

More than a few times he ended up comparing his breathing style to Sanemi's thanks to the wind aspect, which M/N could quite frankly do without. Couldn't the kind and energetic blond just leave him alone? He didn't want his karma to rub off on him. For demon slayers, dying was an occupational hazard. He'd hate to see such a skilled swordsman perish because he got too close.

Their relationship appeared to get better once the blond discovered M/N's love for almond tofu, which he proceeded to use to bribe him into coming out to eat with him. Things slowly progressed from there, and M/N became fairly comfortable with hanging out with Rengoku. He even stopped protesting! How shocking!

Missions with him were even more interesting, considering their respective fighting styles. By the time their bond of trust had developed, Kyojuro needed only to say his name and M/N would be at his side, hand on the hilt of his blade and ready to shed some blood.

Loyalty and consistency, as it appears, seem to go a long way. Even if his loud voice does tend to hurt his ears.

Tengen Uzui

Tengen... well let's just say he also had a favorable impression of M/N thanks to his fighting techniques.

Leaping into the air and plunging down, striking his enemy with such determination and impeccable form? Dodging quickly and dashing about like he weighed nothing at all? He had to say that his fighting style wasn't half bad. Even a tad flashy.

Of course, there's no way he could ever hope to rival a god such as himself, though... if he were to become his tsugoku...

Not in a million years. Or at least, that's the attitude M/N is rolling with. If Rengoku seemed pushy before, Tengen was going to be an entirely different story.

Rengoku... well... He means well, even if things don't register immediately. The Sound Hashira though? You could tell him to put you down when he's got you over his shoulder and he wouldn't hesitate to not follow that request. He's a whole different level of deliberate stubbornness.

Of course, it's not like he doesn't have his sweet side. He can be downright delightful if you get to know him in the right circumstances. It's just that M/N was never particularly interested in getting to know said sweet side.

Every moment spent in close contact with that man he either witnessed or experienced something disturbing against his will... not that his sense of disturbing was particularly normal, anyway.

For that reason (among several others) the man, though good at killing demons, tends to get on M/N's nerves.

M/N prefers to keep things more on the business side with Tengen. He has an immense respect for the technique and skill he harnesses with his blades in the war against demons. He's an impeccable Hashira, and a reliable comrade to fight alongside. In fact, it's not just him that's impressive. His wives are as well. And- his...mice?

Don't get M/N started on the mice.

They certainly have personality, but they're just one thing on the list of things he didn't know he didn't want to see until he saw them.

How did he even get them that buff?

What is he feeding them?

Is it edible?

Is it almond tofu?

He was hesitant about the wives (and their more affectionate and kind nature) until he tasted their cooking. M/N didn't know something could rival his favorite dish until he had it. Food is also how Tengen bribes him into staying around.

M/N tries to avoid these occasions as much as physically possible, despite how much the food tempts him. Uzui's wives were good people, and he didn't want to risk tainting them with his karma.

Uzui was debatable. He wouldn't mind seeing the man get knocked around by a demon just a little bit in combat to make up for the times he tried to get M/N to embrace a flashier lifestyle. But his wives? Nah.

Sure, they're perfectly capable of self-defense and would put up a good fight against him... but still. Too precious.

Sanemi Shinazugawa

No.

Absolutely not.

Don't get me wrong, Sanemi is strong as hell and good at killing demons, and they might have similar mindsets on things in a certain respect- *cough cough* demons being horrendous creatures that must be dealt with *cough cough*- but the firey ball of anger is just too unpleasant to be around.

Quite frankly Sanemi returns the sentiment.

As cold, distant, and aloof as M/N is, Sanemi isn't looking to befriend him in the slightest, and the same goes in the other direction.

Just because they're wind users and operate in the same corps doesn't mean they need to be buddy-buddy, and they are cool keeping their distance.

M/N is more or less neutral in Sanemi's respect. He'd take almost any other Hashira over him if they were in it for the long haul in terms of missions. In public it's always going to be strictly professional. Very much a "respect is there, but no feelings are attached" type of scenario.

Until M/N climbs the ranks and get's Hashira status, Sanemi is just a capable superior and a benchmark to surpass.

I wouldn't say the respect is returned, but eh. Does it really matter?

Kocho Shinobu

She's by far one of the only Hashira he's comfortable around.

While the others on this list are generally too physically or emotionally present or looking for connection, it's just so easy to be around Kocho and keep things how he's comfortable with them being.

She's level-headed, quiet, clear, and concise, impeccable in the medical field, is well accomplished in a fairly unique style of combat in comparison to the other Hashira, and so much more.

She doesn't need size or brute force to earn others' respect, fear, or admiration. She's just uniquely her... and disturbingly intimidating, in an uncanny valley sort of way.

M/N is of the opinion that if he had to work under any of the Hashira, or at least work with any of the Hashira, she'd be the one he'd want to work under. He trusts her judgment.

Given his occupation, he's likely gotten injured and had to deal with her and those working under her plenty of times as he perfected his combat style, so he knows better than to disobey the doctor's orders.

He doesn't need to look at her face to understand her intent and genuine feelings. He just knows.

Shinobu, I feel, doesn't exactly dislike him either. She's dealt with enough "interesting" types that I get the feeling she can read him fairly well too.

Streamlined. Respect. Loyalty. And Communication.

That is their bond in a nutshell.

They both also have an amusing habit of just.. popping up out of nowhere and startling people, so I think she's gotten a laugh out of that.

Patients have now become aware of the fact that if you're at her place, you now have to watch out for more than just the doc.

I like to think of this place as M/N's Wangshu Inn equivalent. Just a place he chills out playing distant from other people, waiting for the next orders from the top.

M/N also has impeccable hearing, which makes it much easier for him to appear when called.

He's more than likely been ordered to help with rehabilitation training for patients during the times he stays around too long. He doesn't offer up many objections.

The battle was over and our wounds were too great. The entertainment district was in ruins now, but at least those pesky demons were killed. The brother took my hand and my eye, but other than that I'm just fine. Especially after Tanjiros sister, Nezuko, healed me. My husbands were releved and so was I. The boar head kid and the ugly one were pretty roughed up as well, but they were still alive. I tossed my head back against the wall with a sigh. My husband Sumio was still crying on my chest, Makio was checking my injuries, and Hino was touching my face gently. I was glad that I was still alive so I could still be with them, my sweet husbands. Just then, I started shaking as a deep chuckling voice as steps approached us. Groining, I got up despite the protests from my husbands, ready for another fight.

"Hey, no need to stand up pretty lady." The voice said.

As the footsteps got closer, my worst fear came true, another upper rank demon. He was tall and well built with large shoulders and a small waist. His hair was h/c and his eyes were a vibrant shade of green and e/c. He wasn't ugly like the other demons I just fought and I found myself surprised that a demon could even be handsome.

He then kneeled down and smirked at me. As his eyes takes across my battered body. Unfortunately, this caused a blush to grace my pale bruised skin. My mind was in a frenzy not just because of the fight, but because of the sight before me. He might have been the best looking demon I've ever seen. Hell, he even put humans to shame, except for my husbands of course.

"Get the hell away from us." Makio threatened in a protective stance.

"Woah there, I'm not here to hurt ya. I just want to talk." The demon said as his eyes never left mine.

"Who the hell are you?" I coughed

"Y/N, and those two demons you just killed were my siblings. I just came to say thank you." Y/N stated sitting down.

"Wait, why are you thanking me." I asked

'Because sweetheart, I really hated those two. Always nagging at each other. Especially Daki, gods she was a pest." Y/N groaned

"But they are your siblings, you shouldn't say that." Tanjiro yelled at him.

"Hush now kid, save your strength. They weren't much of siblings to begin with. Shouldn't love someone if they refuse to love you back." Y/N proclaimed with an 'I don't give a fuck attitude'.

"Are you gonna try and kill us?" I questioned him

"Nah, you're not really worth my time. It's a shame though, I watched you fight and I gotta say I'm impressed. Not a lot of people who fought my little brother managed to walk away alive, let alone kill him. Although, no one has ever come close to beating me either." He boasted.

"Thanks, I guess." I said

"Anytime sweet heart. Say, you want those wounds healed?" He questioned scooting closer.

"Do not touch Lady Tengen!" Hino screamed pointing his blade at him.

"Calm down handsome, I'm not gonna kill him." he yawned

"How do I know its not a trick?" I asked confidently. He then came closer, much to the protests of my husbands. Y/N then lifted his hand and tilted my chin up so he could look in my good eye.

"It's a shame that my brother had the audacity to take out of of these pretty eyes. Eyes like these should never be hurt." He cooed

His other hand then made it way to my stomach and glowing light appeared out of his hand. It was slightly painful, but that feeling was overshadowed by the way he was looking at me. My blush was even deeper now and I felt myself wanting nothing more than to feel his lips on my cut lips. His other hand was still on my chin as his eyes never left mine.

"Close your eyes." He commanded

As I closed my eyes, I could feel his blood demon art working through my body. It felt as though he was reconstructing every cell and replacing it with a stronger new one. It was a strange sensation, but one that left me wanting more.

"Now, let me see those pretty eyes of yours." He cooed

Opening my eyes, I looked around me seeing the releaved faces of my husbands and the kids. I looked down at my hand to see if it was still gone. Except, it was now back, nail polish and all. It was like magic and I felt myself for the first time in my flashy life, being fully and completly thankful to a demon. I looked up to see his towering figure doing the same to my husbands and then to the kids. A wide smile graced my face, knowing that they had recovered.

"Well, I'm off then. The sun is almost up and I really don't want to end up like my siblings." He stated smiling down at me.

"Wait-" I yelled getting up and making my way to the demon.

"Hmm what is it pretty girl? Ya sad to see me go." He asked

"Absolutely not." I lied

"Then what is it?" He cooed

"Thank you." I whispered

"What was that?" He asked bring up one of his hands to cup his left ear as he smirked.

"Oh you heard me." I sassed

"Whatever, I gotta get goin, see ya." he said as he began walking away.

"Thank you!" I exclmained rolling my eyes

"Anytime, pretty lady." He screamed back

"My name is Tengen Uzui, you oaf." I sassed putting my hand on my hip.

"See you around beautiful Tenge Uzui." He responded and in a flash he sped away from my sight.

"Lady Tengen, what just happened?" Sumio questioned with a tearstained face.

"Honey, I've got no idea." I said thinking to myself the same thing.

These last few days were nothing but chaos. I went from losing a hand and an arm, to them magically appearing back in moments. And everyone's wounds disapearing as if in thin air. I stood there as the sun peaked through the mountains questioning if I it was real. And a horror of a thought came across my mind. Was I falling in love with a demon?

Rengoku has always appreciated how calm and collected you were as opposed to some of the other individuals in the demon slayer corp, it was refreshing.

That being said when he saw you get pissed at the demon you two had to exorcise he was more than just a little surprised. Hell, even the demon was scared.

After you finished off the demon he rushed over to you making sure you were okay, making sure you didn't act like that because of the demon's blood art or just pain.

Admittedly it was unlikely but he just wanted to make sure everything was okay.

When you tell Rengoku you're fine and pretended as if nothing happened he figured that you just didn't want to talk about it.
