everyone hear me out one of the most underutilized character relationships in andor is bix and luthen. obviously not in a romantic sense, I'm talking bix thinking (maladaptively but not confusingly) that the way to stop her trauma haunting her is to get better trained as a spy and tactical operative and trying to get luthen to facilitate her doing that work, and luthen seeing a younger version of himself in her care-fueled pragmatism and lack of hesitation and deliberation and coldness under pressure and hypervigilance and not knowing what to do with it. because he needs bix healthy and he needs bix the uniquely competent tech engineer and he needs bix the communicator and negotiator that came prepackaged with a psyche that fits how he plans even if her priorities make his heart hurt but bix's mind won't rest until she's a hypercompetent gun toting special operative. and what the hell is he gonna do say no to the number one way for her to functionally move past this thing that keeps her ineffective? tell her to respond to her trauma differently? tell her the truth (that it always comes down to chance)??

i think i know the reason why bruce has problems with all of his children when they grow up:

bruce decided who he was and what his moral code would be when he was 8, and that has never changed after that. so i really think he just does not believe that people CAN change because HE never did...

but most people, most children especially, change a whole lot. and children who live through a lot of trauma can change very very much.

so for bruce, who - after seeing his parents die, yes- had a rather normal childhood (no fighting crime, no getting tortured, no dying, etc).. he cant relate to them. at all.

look at the oldest two:

dick started being robin at 9 i think? that man is trauma central. no wonder he and bruce got i to fight after fight when he was a teenager.

jason got tortured, DIED, woke up in his grave, was taken and brainwashed by a cult, got dipped into the lazarus pit... there was NO chance of him being the kid he died as.

Bruce is unchanging, but all the batlings are growing up, changing a lot, changing all the time. and he does not understand that thats normal - to him they are either doing something wrong or they ARE wrong somehow.

We need a Total Drama character who is always blasting extremely loud music 24/7. Everyone thinks it comes from their phone or some speaker or something. But when they have them all taken away, the music is still playing equally as loud, because the music is coming from the character themselves somehow, almost like they are human radio.

very worried about the canadian election next year. the past two prime ministers have followed suit with whoever was in power in the us. when harper (conservative) was elected bush (republican) was in power and when trudeau (liberal) was elected obama (democrat) was in power. i wouldn't be surprised if we got another conservative leader next year because of Trump... genuinely so scary. even in my very left leaning province nearly 50% of voters vote conservative and most other provinces are predominantly conservative like it's really not looking good

I went so long without paranoia that now that it's back I truly truly do not know how I lived like this for so long. I can't walk up my own staircase in my own house without my heart racing and my brain screaming at me to go faster. I can't be left alone in a room without shutting down barely breathing praying not to be found by whatever HAS to be in there with me. I can't turn off the downstairs lights at my job without nearly passing out from dizzying terror. not to mention the gut-twisting panic that sets in whenever I hallucinate. how did I live like this for 19 years? how am I gonna live like this for three more weeks before my meds are refilled?
