Tesla vs. Tesla Power: The Trademark Battle Unfolds

Elon Musk's Tesla Inc. has taken legal action against Gurugram-based Tesla Power India Ltd for trademark infringement, as revealed by a Delhi High Court record. The electric vehicle (EV) giant, headquartered in Delaware, United States, alleges that the Indian company is unlawfully using the trade names "Tesla Power" and "Tesla Power USA."

In response, Tesla Power has asserted that it has no plans to manufacture EVs and will not market any other entities' EVs under the disputed trademark. Despite this, Tesla Inc. contends that the Indian company continued to use its brand name even after receiving a cease-and-desist notice in April 2022, prompting the lawsuit.

The Delhi High Court has granted Tesla Power three weeks to submit written responses following the presentation of supporting documents. The next hearing is scheduled for May 22.

This legal dispute emerges amidst discussions of Tesla's potential entry into the Indian market. Elon Musk's anticipated visit to India was canceled in April, followed by a surprise trip to China. Meanwhile, Tesla Power, reportedly present in India prior to Musk's Tesla, asserts having obtained all necessary government approvals.

India's recent reduction of import duties on electric cars aims to attract investments in the EV sector, a move seen as facilitating Tesla's potential entry into the Indian market.

can i just say i have been buying and using refurbished phones for like 5 yrs or so and the fact that in that time, only one of them has died for no obvious reason, ie crack or water damage, is amazing. (for context i’ve prbly purchased around 4 phones in that time) all somewhere between $150-$500, ranging from apple to samsung.

STOP giving money to fucking companies who take it, then turn around and kill and enslave hundreds of literal CHILDREN in the congo for fucking blood minerals. how can it STILL be the most popular product of its type.

the fact that i just saw a tweet from somebody saying having an iphone 12 in 2024 is crazy, grow tf up. if u r genuinely an of age person seeing/saying that and agreeing, u are not an adult. u are a child masquerading as one.

this goes for any type of consumerism of companies who have blatantly participated in the worst acts imaginable to ensure they gain profit. Microsoft, Google and Tesla, etc. all so u can have a little black rectangle filled with the blood and tears of congolese CHILDREN, so u can go on twitter and tell some actual good person trying to make a difference that they’re lame for having a phone that didn’t fund the company that killed and PARALYSED AND BURIED ALIVE IN A CAVEIN NINE YEAR OLD CHILDREN.

i currently own an iphone 7, and u might think that’s lame, but at least i can’t b thought of as a literal human piece of shit for being lame, but u sure can for supporting any of these companies.

Danish union joins Swedish workers’ strike against Tesla

Danish transport union 3F Transport joined the dispute between Swedish union IF Metall and Elon Musk’s Tesla over the latter’s refusal to sign a collective agreement, Euractiv reports.

IF Metall has received support from Danish union 3F Transport, which has decided to enter into a sympathy dispute with its Swedish colleagues, after six weeks of intense struggle and industrial action over a collective agreement at Tesla workshops in Sweden.

Now harbour workers and drivers will not be able to receive and transport Tesla cars to Sweden. Jan Villadsen, chairman of 3F Transport, noted in a press release:

With the sympathy strike, we are now putting further pressure on Tesla. Naturally, we hope that they will come to the negotiating table as soon as possible and sign a collective agreement.

Some Swedish labour unions have recently come forward to Tesla to demand collective bargaining agreements for their workshops. However, Tesla CEO Elon Musk is not in favour of this idea.
