First of all IM NOT judging whoever that has 2947945894 s/o's BUT I'm judging myself.

to be honest with you, I've been really obsessed with outlast trials lately and has been playing non stop recently, because I wanna get to the second catalog!!

→ you were certainly new to the trials pretty much stepping on every trap you could possibly find. Even though you didn't do it on purpose. It's just every time you would run from an enemy a trap would somehow be in front of you and you know what happens next. and also you got bullied a lot by the enemies, especially the giants and Coyle and also Franco. (broskis in his widowmaker era hitting me from across the map😔)

→ but anyways, when it came to Mother gooseberey, she was such a breath of fresh air. There was something about her that generally comforted you, as sick and twisted as that may be considering that she chases you around with a drill that is her father and has a real yapping problem and probably should be locked up for life if he wasn't actually dead rip. (We love him tho) but his daughter adores you and has pretty much made it in her brain that you're her baby, and that when she catches you you won't be able to escape from her grip!!

→ ok, and once she has you, you are literally spoiled with affection, it's everything from smooches, her literally carrying you, which is insane, considering she has only one free hand/arm, Her other arm is amputated and has the drill obviously. So, like, imagine, she's holding you with one arm, ok? both of your hands around her neck and you're just curled up in her side, and she just casually carrying you like its nothing.

→ so basically any affection that you could possibly think of she gives it to you, unless she's not capable of it of course. But she tries and also she has a tendency of hugging you so hard that you have to tell her that you need to breathe but ya know you'll be fine.

→ also, another scenario I'd like to imagine is, ok, imagine you're on that fancy bed that we all first see when we do the tutorial, for the very first part of the game. The exact same fancy bed that we have to hide under because of the psychosis dude. Ok, so Mother Gooseberry is laying down you're on top of her, your face is in her neck or in her shoulder/chest. Her hand on your back, and you're just essentially laying on top of her on your stomach, and you're just curled up, and she's rubbing your back and let me tell you, you had the best sleep you ever had since you made it to this facility.

→ also another thing I'd like to mention she is very over protective and possessive of you obviously your her baby, her little Angel that could do no wrong essentially. if you get injured somehow like really bad, bleeding, gash, basically the most horrendous thing that you could possibly think of or whether someone mess with you or you got hurt while just exploring the orphans/mansion (because who wouldn't) Phyllis thy Futterman will be drilling a bitch and who knows you might be able to watch her put a cute new face on one of her dolls/latest victims 🥰 (if your into that ofc)

→ and if your injured, she would gently bandage you up and if you ask nicely, she might even kiss it better. Also another thing, even Dr. Futterman went off the chain, even though he's been in bag jail alot for insulting you. Phyllis says he cares deep down, but whether that's true we'll never know.

I answered before saying you can delay the relationship (because let's be real no matter how much time passes it won't go away) with MC's actions. And you can make his lover feel guilt for being with him so there's that.

For example, Luceris is already in a relationship in chapter 3 (it has been years in the story don't attack me 😔) but that is for some MCs only, some other MCs don't get that at all so those have successfully made him stay miserable #nohealingforhim. The ones that do get the relationship bit, you can be an asshole about it.

I can't say much right now so let's hold our horses until chapter 3 comes out. :)

the weirdness and unconventionality of lawbepo are major charm points to me tbh!💕 i also really love how lawbepo elevates law’s character! it’s not that i didn’t like law before, but to be honest, i feel that a weakness of the character is that he is easily put into the “stoic badass with a tragic past and a secret heart of gold” stereotype. which is cool and fun, and it’s obviously a popular trope for a reason, but every anime/manga has this type of character tbh, and if nothing more is done with them, they can be kinda generic and one note. and it’s especially hard if the character is a side character, so it’s unlikely the creator will spend more time with them. unless it’s like for fanservice or something. so i like these types of characters but i don’t usually love them because of that.

that was how i used to feel about law, i liked him and thought his design was cool but that’s it. but everything is different now- like maybe it sounds insane to say, but considering “what if that bear is not just law’s vice captain, but also his first love from childhood? his babygirl? his ride-or-die wife?” has seriously like opened my third eye when it comes to law tbh lol, and i have you and your incredible art to thank for that! 🙏❤️‍🔥💕💯🔥✨

Well, it doesn't haunt Krupp anymore like it used to, because of that Krupp is the owner of his dummy. Even tho I'm not sure if Melvinborg was the one who brought it or Krupp himself.

However, the Krupp dummy moves and talks by itself as I said. Not only it would appear everywhere like an "Elf on a shelf" thing. He or it can attack the leaving hell out of someone and jumpscare the victim WHOEVER TOUCHES THE DUMMY WITHOUT PERMISSION.

and speaking of moving and stuff, its eyes can glow through the dark; you see remember when I said Krupp upgraded it and made it idk. Little different I think? Yeah, this is what I meant by this. Its eyes can glow brighter to see and detect ANYTHING.

Krupp's idea was to upgrade his dummy and change him a bit so he doesn't have to carry it all the time. And do you wanna know what's more cringy and disturbing? Him or it being a monitor inside of a dummy...

Yeah you see Krupp knows how to make inventions and things so he decided to build a mini robo-animatronic and try to insert that inside of the dummy but then he realized why does it need mental and robotic parts when he can also place organs inside to make it feel REAL. Yeeaahh....to make a long story short he killed a student for the first time....(and keep in mind it was one of Mr. Rected's students), Krupp wasn't sure where to hide the body until he decided to grab the victim's organs and connect them inside the dummy. Making sure that each organ is glued or connected properly and waited until it stops having a gross smell. Later on, he then used the electricity to give it energy (obviously it has the robot inside of it.) And stitched some parts of it. Fuck

Because if Melvin does something fish behind his dad figure (Krupp), or sneaks things without his permission the dummy will make use to catch the kid in the act.

[AND FEW LITTLE POINTS ABOUT IT]

* It was originally used to torment Melvin if he keeps ignoring his demands. After few months he then decided to give it to Melvin so he doesn't feel lonely whenever Krupp goes to find his other victims. The dummy slowly became Melvin's comforting dummy cuz all the dummy does is talk randomly by itself and moves. [SPECIALLY BECAUSE THE DUMMY LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE KRUPP/ABUSIVE FATHER FIGURE]. Melvin would also take him everywhere in his backpack, doing a playdate with it and venting to it, not knowing it can record a personal vent and possibly the man himself is listening to it.🗿

* This little fella knows how to walk. No joke...it DOES. All thanks to the electricity he kinda started to learn new things (?)

•| The dummy MUST ALWAYS be inside of its own box or somewhere hidden to not let it escape from its place. It would sneak out and sit somewhere like it does.

To be honest I don’t take those too seriously. Mainly because it’s nothing new to take a stray bullet on social media. Especially when preferences in something people are passionate about are involved. I do think it’s a shame that there are people out there who played DE and learnt nothing from the stories that the game was trying to tell though. A theme of struggle and trauma and redemption in everyone, it was always there.

I get where some of those views are from. People who think Harry dug himself out and so that decision of his had to be universally celebrated. People who cared must be supportive because it did Harry some good.

But it’s not that simple, is it.

Decisions have consequences. Some people have to bear those consequences for decisions not made by themselves, things that are entirely out of their control but suddenly have the potential to leave a massive crater in their life that maybe they can’t even afford to repair. Things they have to accept just because they woke up one day to a new reality.

Harry made his decision for himself. It’s easier for some characters to come to terms with it because they never knew Harry intimately as he was before, they never had Harry in their life so much to feel the impact. Jean did, and he needs what he needs to deal with this sudden change of current, when the old one was one that he still was trying to navigate. The change disrupted his entire assessment of a big part of his life, and a relationship he thought was entirely doomed but at least he understood.

As the audience, it’s easy to get confused and misunderstand this, but it’s not a ‘misery loves company’ situation. If you really look, you can see a mishmash of emotions from him. It’s uncertainty. It’s fear. (And oh, so much fear.) It’s hope. It’s helplessness. He can’t afford to be optimistic because even though he hasn’t dealt with anything like it, he was let down many many times. Hope is a dangerous thing to have, and this whole current change in Jean’s life is both too irrevocable and uncertain for him to have it.

But it’s clear that he wants to believe and to hope, however desperate. He‘s actively seeking out ways to let himself be persuaded into picking choices to look out for Harry. It’s confirmation bias: He exclusively takes people who care about Harry, people who can help Harry with him. Every time he tries to cut off ties, he looks for the tiniest voice of objection to push him back to Harry. At the end of the confrontation, he goes back to what he really wants out of it, not a final decider, that’s already done- but something he needs to gingerly anchor his hope onto: any final affirmation or confirmation from someone who’s been in his shoes for a minute with the new Harry. If a partner of this new Harry can work things out, he’s willing to try.

And there’s something to be said about that. I hope I’ve said my piece clearly enough that at least it’s out there for people who care to read.

Does Simmons not exist to him anymore or does he think Simmons is still dead? What if he knew Simmons was alive but didn’t bother to get him after the whole freelancer thing got destroyed?

Gasp! Did Tex mostly just throw him really hard during that fight in the backup building where they meet FILSE. Would FILSE know who Simmons was due to a face scan? (He still has half his original face)

Gosh if FILSE joined in on the Grif dunking just because she felt it in her circuits. (She’d still mock Simmons, I mean, it’s really easy too do so) (but some Buried code, from the director when he still cared enough, made a program that actives to be an obnoxious in-law to whoever thought they were good enough for his children)

when the house was burning down? he made sure Carolina got out but left Simon in the burning room to find his own way out. (i actually had another few panels i cut from this that showed him walking out but i didn't like the vibes they had) The dude played favorites pretty much from the moment they were born, and it was very clear who was his favorite.

Simon was too much like him for the Director to ever care for him. He was always the child that wasn't good enough. so when he disappeared from the MOI, the Director cared more about the fact he did so in the flashiest of explosions, than the fact he was actually gone.

Also, he does know that Simon is alive, and knows exactly where he is. (I don't think he realizes he stole Eta, but then again, he might not know of Eta's existence regardless.) I mean, the dude's the worst at making a disguise lol. no joke, his 'i'm not a freelancer' disguise was cutting off his ponytail and ditching his glasses and labcoat. That's it! And his name change? Dude when from "Simon Church" to "Richard Simmons". He all but kept hsi first name and tacked it on as his last! (the reason he chose Richard as his name is funny tho. I thought i wrote him talking to Grif about it at some point but i can't find it. It basically went like this "My dad always said he had wanted me to be named after him." "His name was Richard?" But yeah, I actually think The Director rigged it so Simmons ended up in the simulation base, that way he knew where he was if needed but Simmons would still think he had gotten away from Freelancer. (I imagine the "this was a simulation base for Freelancer all along" revelation hits him a LOT harder for this au. dude would not handle that well at all.)

As for the Tex vs the Reds + tucker, yeah she doesn't hit Simmons quite as much as the rest of them. (which i didn't notice until i just rewatched that fight scene. Thanks for the excuse btw : ) ) Like, he does get hit with a couple shipping containers and a few mild explosions (and yeeted a few times) but she doesn't down right pumble him like the other three. Sure, there's several inseries reasons for this (he was keepign his distance for rocket launcher reasons being one) but for this? Tex would rather have him out of the picture than have to fight him. even if he wasn't the grownup kid of the woman she was based off of (complicated much?) he's still an ex-freelancer. He poses more of a threat than the other three combined, if he had wanted to. (PLUS! he has Eta in his implant by then, so he could, very well, run equipment if he wanted to. He doesn't b/c he doesn't want anyone to know about Eta, but it's still an option. Eta got woken up/moved to his implant about the end of season 6, i think. It was the only way Simmons could think of to protect them from the emp since simmons's own cybernetics are emp resistant. Eta's been a little voice in his head since then, which does not help the dude's anxiety, let me tell you.)

as for FILSS? i think she does recognize him but that's not why she jumps on the 'lets be mean to grif' train. i think she literally only does that b/c she sees tex doing it and goes, well if tex doesn't like this dude, then i guess i don't either.

and, yeah, there's definitely a reason why the Director is more hated than loved. even canonically, he barely even looked at Carolina, not even calling her by her name when he said goodbye for the last time.

I don't know if he morned her or just kept his focus on trying to get back Alison. He was a broken man pretty much since Alison died.

i have a different fic i wrote, that, at the end of his life, discribed him as this "He looks like a shell of what he used to be. Little more than the biproducts he created in the other room.[refering to the many tex bots]". And that's something i still hold true for that man (and also one of the favorite lines i've written to date lol). The fact that he could never let his wife go, destroyed so much more than just his own life. and it wasn't right.

Partner: Does your OC currently have a partner? Multiple partners? How did they meet, and what is that relationship like?

At this point in game. No. She has no partners. She has multiple somethings, I feel, but they're not partners. They probably meet at bars and maybe like promo parties? Lowkey ones, before the band made it big. I feel she's probably slept with a groupie or two but it's not something she makes the habit of. Messy business. [And that's too close to Orion seeing/hearing/etc.]

Intimacy: Is your OC the type of person to engage in long-term relationships, or are they more casual in their intimacy and affection? How do they feel about intimacy and relationships in general?

Seen is her longest relationship. I think MAYBE even first. I also don't think she thought it would be that long -- and in truth it probably would still be going if not for The Fight. She was really in love with Seven and I think they probably fought a lot but they Got Each other [think Vic and G, but infinitely less toxic.] There have been no relationships and no want/desire of relationships either. Casual or long term. And she thinks it's possible, obviously, but not for her. So like hogwash but real hogwash. Something not-lasting. Friendship is different though. Though she's not that great with intimacy is friendship. The band is kinda ... different. Kind of. She's not that great with them but she's better. I feel I mentioned but she has dad friend affection/acts of service & quality time but in a 'i'm going to pick you up from that 2am party but we're not gonna talk as i drive you home with a side-eye'. I think Rowan sees the most steady affection from her, in that they SOMETIMES [not often lmao] even talk about feelings. Gasp.

For Good: Is there anyone in your OC's life who had an undeniable positive impact on who they are as a person? How did knowing this person improve your OC's life?

Haha. Would you believe Seven Lawless? I think without Seven there would be no Lucy or even Rowan. And sans Rowan and Seven there probably wouldn't be the rest of the band. I am not set how Hiyam was younger -- if she was mellower or the same. But I don't feel real friends came easy for her until Seven. Seven [and Rowan to an extant] in her life made a lot of crosses that she bore bearable. She didn't feel the impact of certain things because she had Seven. Maybe seven was a weight baring support, which probaably wasn't good for either in a sense. But I think it was mutual. And being loved that much [even tho it can be ... a lot] was good for a kid without any other affection.

I'm Yours is a Lucas fic, so it's not surprising that it's gotten so many hits. But it's my very first published fic and I'm proud of it, especially because I think you can see my evolution as a writer in each chapter. Like, if you compare Chapter 1 to Chapter 47, there are worlds, no galaxies, between them.

But for me, Seamless is the real winner because it was the most challenging to write. I fell in love with Kassam, realized there weren't many fics with him as the main character, and just sat down and started writing. I'm only about halfway through the fic and it's already got over 1.6k hits and has become the most kudosed fic and I'm just so happy about that. Kassam deserves that 🖤🖤

I just want to say that I'm really proud of myself. Especially because I only started writing for the LITG fandom (and fandoms in general) in May/June of this year. Hello!! I did a better research about the "My Alex" and Miles words were supposedly "The next song is called ”My Fantasy”… I’d like to dedicate it to my Alex Turner!", unfortunately i couldn't find the video either and i would definitely kill for this footage. I just love the way they express their love for each other by dedicating songs it's so genuine, music is one of the most precious things in their lifes so when they dedicate a song to each other they really want to show there's a true feeling between them, regardless of whether it's friendship or anything else.

About Caroline Miles said that he just making up a girl's name to facilitate the creative process (sure, Miles), but the song is actually about a friend who was going through a hard time. Maybe he made the song about a girl so it wouldn't be so obvious, because it really looks like he just replaces the person's real name with Caroline (??).

I was rewatching that chaotic Martin interview and Alex said something interesting when Martin asked about the EYCTE lyrics "I just can't get the thought of you and him out of my head", Alex answered that a song sometimes isn't about the lyrics or a melody idea for example, but sometimes underneath some of those lines there's a memory or a message that you're disguising with the rest of it, or as you said it can be way more metaphorical than literal most of the time. I remember that they was asked about the girl in the EYCTE album and they also haven't confirmed that it is in fact about a girl they are talking about. So i mean, they have a very similar creative processes in that aspect, maybe Alex isn't talking about politics at all in Golden Trunks even with all the references, i believe it's just a metaphorical scenario to disguise the real thing he's talking about just like he said. Btw this all reminds me of Alex saying "Some of what happens in those situations is disclosed through the veil of song in the record, there's some references", it lives rent free in my head.

About the covers, i love the SOS cover probably the gayest for sure, and they definitely don't seem to care about it even with all the pressure from the industry as well. And you're totally right, people actually need to stop labeling other people like that it's fucked up

I do remember seeing that post, however I was met with a dead end with finding the clip. It seems we faced the same unfortunate predicament. If anyone will EVER get a clip of this iconic moment, I would love to see it! I totally agree with what you said about dedicating songs to someone. They're musicians. Music is their way of expressing emotions, their experiences, and their lives in general. So if a musician, especially world renowned ones like Alex Turner or Miles Kane, dedicate a song to you? You must be incredibly and utterly important.

Yes I remember the Caroline interview, well at least I remember reading a snippet of it. Anyway, it is incredibly sweet of Miles to make a song for a friend. I think the name "Caroline" was probably chosen because the vibes were giving oldies and Caroline was a common name to sing about in a lot of old songs which we know Miles loves. I'm definitely sure he replaced the name of whoever he was singing about, mostly because, most people would prefer some privacy to their problems. I think lots of people replace names if a song is dedicated to someone for privacy and I think that's very important. Still, it's incredibly sweet, Miles is such a nice turtle to make a whole song dedicated to someone going through a rough patch, it kinda feels like a gift now, knowing the back story. Like I said, musicians obvious form of expression is music, so this song feels like Miles' gift truly from the heart to whoever this person is.

I'm glad you took note of what I said about metaphors! I kinda wanted to mention it because Alex' lyrics have always been very out there. Most of the time they mean something else entirely and the words or objects he used are just symbols of things, ESPECIALLY in more recent albums like TBH+C and The Car. Also definitely in ETYCTE, there's lyrics there that are definitely deeper or possibly, shallower, than we think. We will never really know for sure.

Miles is, I think, more upfront in his lyrics, less symbolism and more emotion, while I like to think Alex hides his emotion in the symbolism. Don't get me wrong, Miles still has a lot of references and hidden things in his music, but I also think he's a lot more straightforward with his feelings. That's why I think his relationship with Alex is very good, creative wise. They can make music together that balances out, this beautiful mix of symbolism and pure emotion and everything in between. I can understand however, how it can possibly be difficult to have a relationship with someone who, like Alex, is more recluse. Alex is so good at hiding feelings in symbolism, I have this inkling it might be the same in real life, you can kind of tell too, in his lyrics, how he tends to be the type of person to hide, then proceed to regret doing so.

The references quote, that really hit me because that was one of the first quotes I saw when I joined the fandom (which was pretty recent). I think you can tell that that quote hit me very much because of how I mention the word "veil" or "behind the curtain" in previous answers that I've done.

@loupsgarou tagged me in this fun challenge (lol I'm joking, thank you) and all you have to do is as advertised: list (5) unpopular opinions about (5) fandoms

Orphan Black: I loved the Castor plot and thought it added a much needed edge to the whole neolution agenda/experiments. It was sadly wasted very quickly but I still enjoyed the 3rd season a lot. Also! Ari Millen is a phenomenal character and he did so good as the Castor clones.

House of the Dragon: Alicent is actually a very good mother, like she's a great character in general but I feel like the fandom enjoys shitting on her parenting more than anything else. She lost her own mother at a young age, her father is a manipulative dickhead that forced her into a horrible (yet influential, yes) marriage when she was like 15, her only friend hated and resented her for years because of that, and her entire adult life was a play of pretend and convincing herself she is doing this for a greater good. She did her best at raising her kids in those circumstances, kids she bore without a sense of love but only duty. They are still her children, though, and she really does love them and it's just hard to be a functioning human in the environment she lives in - mentally and physically - and yet she tries her best to be a loving parent to them all. Alicent just needs more love y'all.

Doctor Who: I really was excited to hear Russell T. Davies is coming back, but I am way less excited to see his plans for Ten and Donna and whatever nonsense they are brewing in Cardiff. It started as hope for like, going back to the roots vibe and having some silly plots and not always thinking about bigger, darker arcs - just you know, the original rtd run. But the more I hear and read about their plans the less excited I am. It feels to me like they are using that sense of nostalgia to lure the fans back in after the Chris Chibnall fiasco, like they are focusing more on the clout and ratings than the actual heart of the show. I should be clear though, it's just the vibe I'm getting and I hope I'm wrong! I'm just very weary and cautions at this point.

Taskmaster: y'all need to stop shipping Greg and Alex, it's just gross. I don't mind you enjoying their dynamic, like I really love their banters and everything, but actively shipping real people is a red line for me. Also the fact they are actively teasing the fans with it on the actual show, like knowingly, is starting to bother me.

Eurovision: jury votes are necessary to contain the chaos of the public vote. I know I disagree with them a lot, but they do balance out the ridiculousness of some questionable fan choices. The real problem with the jury is whoever the countries pick to be in them, you know what I mean? Like what is the picking process? Who qualifies to sit in them? Who conducts the voting? These are the questions we need to ask, because the juries are an important part of the competition and I would really hate to see them go because of some deep corruption that should be the actual thing to get rid of.

Oof that was hard to get off my chest lol I know some of y'all will be mad at a very specific take (👀) but please remember I love said show! I am just hurt by many many mistakes in the past lol
