Brendan Fraser's The Mummy movie: The male lead is skilled af but the female is smart and just as cool, they are a cool team, there are side characters who are helpful too, we make sure everyone is involved and we give everyone respectful amount screen time and everyone is important for the movie's plot. The Mummy is evil but he's interesting, he is respected as a great villain and it takes a lot of characters to defeat him cuz that's realistic. The movie is a fun chilly timeless classic.
Tom Cruise's The Mummy movie: Tom Cruise does everything, Tom Cruise saves everything on his own, he's a hero, he's a God, he's better than you and the other characters are here what for?

Word Count : 1,821
✯¸.•´¨*•✿ Happily Ever After ✿•*¨`•.¸✯
You peek out the window placed above the sink looking over your garden, as you scrub gently on the cast iron pan, you smile warmly at the image of Neville crouching down low, with both girls standing around him with matching white dresses, as they pick the ripened ruby-red strawberries that Neville has grown for 2 years in counting, tossing the freshly picked fruit into a brown woven basket, you watched as the two girls enjoy a bite of strawberries feeding their dad the semi sweet-sour fruit, he munched on the offered barriers giving both girls a smile before tickling them, which sends them into a laughing frenzy as they quickly ran away he wastes no time on chasing them across the garden, quickly engraving another joyful memory into your mind.
You finished up the dishes quickly, whipping out your wand to let the dishes air dry and quickly putting them away in your cabinets in an orderly fashion before you hear footsteps entering the house coming from the back garden door. "Mummy, Mummy look what we got" a soft and giggly voice greeted you, coming in with a hug that only reaches up to your leg, "Wow did you and Daddy go strawberry picking outside?" you asked gently at the little girl who posses an emerald gemstone like pair of eyes just like your husbands and a brunette wavy hair styled into 2 little pigtails held with a purple ribbon tied into a bow. "Mhm me, Poppy and Daddy got them for you" She smiles sweetly handing you the basket full of fruit.
"Awghh Iris that's so sweet of you little one, come give mummy a kiss" You crouch down to her and peer your cheeks closer, as she leaves little kisses on them giving you the biggest hug her little body can master, Neville, watches the two of you with a smile holding Poppy leaning by the back door frame, Poppy looks a lot more like you, her silky Y/H/C tied up into a tidy braid held by a red ribbon matches well with her gorgeous Y/E/C. After hugging the little one you looked at Neville with a flirtatious smile as he raised his eyebrows playfully taking both girls into their playroom not forgetting to plant a kiss on your forehead before leaving the kitchen.
You packed the food you've prepared for Augusta Longbottom your Grandmother in law into a piece of parchment and tie it shut with a ribbon, placing it inside a small bag you've charmed with an extension spell to pack all the necessary stuff the girls might need while they sleep over there, you called Neville telling him to dress the girls up into some warm clothes as you check on last minute Items not forgetting to leave anything behind. After a while, you all stand outside of your cottage you and Neville held hands, one twin holding on to you and one twin holding on to Neville, as you all Apparate to your Grandmother in-laws home. You and Neville greeted Augusta with a hug and exchanged a few words of how are you and thank you, you gave the girls a sweet hug and kiss goodbye as did Neville dropping them off inside, promising to come back tomorrow to pick them up and leaving their bag behind with them as you and Neville Apparate back into your cottage located in the Hogsmeade the wizarding town.
You both head inside as the night turned icy cold and the wind flashes past fast, Neville shot a spell into the fireplace that inflamed the dry wooden logs inside it, defrosting your frozen cottage. He takes his coat off as he helps take yours off, you turned around standing on your tippy toes warping your arm around his neck as the flirtatious smile you gave him earlier returned to your face once more, "Merlin's beard love, don't look at me like that, otherwise I won't be able to contain myself" he smiles down at you kissing your lips tenderly, you giggled quietly before pulling away, "I'm going to make some tea you want some?" you offered with a smile, "Yeah I'd love some actually it's quite cold, just one teaspoon of sugar and a dash of milk though please", he requested kissing your forehead before you're able to head down to the kitchen as he shouted thank you.
Neville takes a seat on the beige leather sofa, placing a small knitted blanket nearby over his legs, and looks over the fire rubbing his hands together to warm up, he takes a second to settle down, before scanning the living room walls covered with hanging portraits, he focused on your wedding portrait, the portrait containing one of the happiest days of yours and his life, a smiling Neville carrying Y/N in her wedding dress as they had out of the building happily married with friends gathering with joy around the both of you, he masters up the biggest most happiest smile he could keeping it, while moving to the next portrait of him and all his Hogwarts friends who are part of Dumbledore's army back in their 5th-year, focusing merely on the young Y/N in her Y/H colored tie and the rest of her uniform, he takes a look at the cabinet holding frames of portraits, his mum and dad, his grandmother, the picture of him holding his godson Albus Severus Potter and pictures of Y/N and him holding the twins after they're just born. Neville's eye starts to glisten with tears, the smile not leaving his face, he got up and walked towards the bookshelves right next to the fireplace and picked up 3 photo albums before returning to his seat.
"Sorry I took so long sweetheart here's your tea" you came in just in time, placing the cup full of tea down on a coaster as Neville says "Thank you petal" gently, as you're about to respond you noticed the three albums he'd picked out, placed on the left side next to him on the sofa, you smile and stare at his face before asking, "Ah... is it about time we reminisce about our lives? I feel old looking at those" you giggled as he pats the empty spot on the sofa next to him on the right side, signaling you to join him. You did just that sitting close to your husband with a blanket over your legs as he opened up the 1st album titled Y/N and Neville 1995 - 2004, "Oh gosh there's probably going to be embarrassing pictures of our teenage self in there" you mentioned shaking your head in a delighted but embarrassed way, Neville flips to the first page finding a picture of you and him dancing in the empty quidditch pitch laughing, "My oh my this is old... this was taken a week after I met you and became your friend officially" Neville mentioned as he takes a glance at you smiling, "Oh yes I remember when the cute muggle-born Ravenclaw, Copper Halstead who's my date to the Yule ball ditched me for Alice Magnus a popular Gryffindor, he told me he was getting us drinks and he'd be right back to dance with me and walk me back to my dorm but instead he was snogging her outside, I cried for hours on the stairs all alone until you showed up and decided to dance with me and made me laugh my head off even with your shoes dangling around your neck.
You both shared a smile, "I'm glad I made that decision that night, otherwise I wouldn't be here with my soulmate today" he mentioned tucking a loose hair of yours behind your ears and turning your cheeks beetroot red like he always did back in the day, he continues to flip over the pages of your Hogwarts days not forgetting to drink your tea along, as you and your husband discussed all the funny and cute memories of your early relationship days like your first date, your first kiss and the first time you done the deed. After a couple of pages, he stumbles over more of your marriage photos, eventually, he pulls you to sit on his lap kissing your shoulder as you continue to flip towards the end. "I've picked up albums of the girls as well they're growing up to be more and more like us especially Iris, although she looks like me, she'd become quite similar to you in personality, and Poppy she's so interested in anything plant or animal related almost like me", you giggled at his statement kissing Neville's cheek as he flips over to the first page of a purple album titled Iris Fern Longbottom - 2004, and there it was a picture of your baby bump, Neville instantly kissed you and praised you about how amazing your body is and how hard it worked to incubate your baby girls which made you smile the brightest way possible. He continued to flip over Iris's baby album until the end, making sure to point out how cute she was and how similar her eyes are to his own and set it aside taking over the red photo album titled Poppy Dawn Longbottom - 2004.
He flips over the pages of Poppy's baby book again mentioning just how cute she is and how much she looks like you, and how she always smiles in every picture you have taken of her, Neville kept kissing your shoulder and wrapping one of his arms around your waist while one was flipping pages, you sighed "I can't believe they're 2 years old already, Seamus and Lily begs me to visit the girls soon he's missing his 2 goddaughters a whole lot he says" you chuckled as you look down at Poppy's baby album, "We did it Y/N we picked the right Godparents for our girls" Neville mentioned rubbing the sides of your arms as he kiss your back, "I mean the girls are growing up a little too fast for my liking, sooner or later their Hogwarts Letter would arrive and you'd be teaching them Herbology" you sadly mentioned, Neville studies your face for a minute and turn you to face him, "Y/n I know this sounds crazy but I'm not done creating life just yet... I want one more kid preferably a son?" he said with suspense, you turned your whole body towards him and say "I've always wanted another child too Nev" you said excitedly giggling as he smile and pulled you into a passionate snog and carries you form the sofa not daring to break the kiss as he carried you upstairs to your bedroom, he breaks the snog for a second to say "hang on tight love, I'm about to put another child inside you he smirks flirtatiously as you laughed in happiness.
What I imagine the twins would've looked like (Poppy is the blonde & Iris is the Brunette) 👇🏻

RETURN OF TAG GAMES
i know i have been gone for what in fandom time is 'forever', so thank you a million for tagging me @celestialmickey @heymrspatel @tanktopgallavich @vintagelacerosette @energievie @stocious @metalheadmickey @gallagher-milkovich
name: lala/larisa
age: 35 but i’m permanently stuck at 25 in my head, i always forget
where in the world are you? 📍 an hour north of chicago, near the wisconsin border
the meaning behind your URL: very self explanatory, i’m not creative with names hehe. but lalazee is my nickname and zee is because my last name is a z name. again, not creative lol
your second favorite color: pink!
any pets? one cat with the personality of a soft bunny & another cat with the personality of a surly dragon
favorite season: autumn!
last thing you read: ‘the only good indians’ by stephen graham jones
last song you listened to: ‘so much (for) stardust’ by fob is playing as i type! i am a true blue lifelong feral fan from ‘take this to your grave (2003) album fan onwards. i’ve already listened to this album so much that my almost ten year old knows most of the words to most of the songs lol
what are you wearing right now? grinning skeleton holding up a coffee cup w a smiley face on it that says ‘STAYIN’ ALIVE’ & pink shorts
a hobby of yours: writing! singing! hiking! camping! cooking! all things horror!
your comfort show or movie: i feel like your comfort movies & shows might not be your all time favs, but more like movies & shows that are easy on your brain to absorb when you’re skull is feeling soupy. as a true 90’s kid, i gravitate for comfort toward those big box office action or disaster films like jurassic park, twister, independence day, the mummy (and 2), men in black, jumanji, matrix, anaconda, etc. . . i have a thing for big monsters & big battles, so also count pacific rim as one of my favorite movies ever too haha
and finally, what are you up to today? it’s spring break! but my spinal surgery blah blah is still healing so i’m relaxing at home while my mom takes my kid to the arcade and candy shop! they’ve been gone four hours, so i can only assume they’ve had a good time lol
FANDOM EDITION
your first fandom(s): First fandom on the INTERNET would have been Star Trek XI. First media that i was unhinged about: X-Files, X-Men, Xena, Sailor Moon (apparently I couldn’t find another X related interest LOL)
your current fandom(s): My Hero Academia, Shameless, Stranger Things, Attack on Titan. . .I actively read for about 5 other fandoms other than those (Supernatural, Witcher, FMA, LOTR, Star Trek), but I’m currently actively writing in these.
how did you first get into fandom? Back when I was living in Glasgow, Scotland, it was my 21st birthday, and my friends and I were going to see a horror movie. Turned out, the tickets were sold out, so we decided to see Star Trek XI. I’d NEVER watched Trek in my life, didn’t know a thing about it, and when I walked out of that theater I was a totally changed human and now I am a Trek Encyclopedia LOL
how long have you been engaging with fandom spaces? Since 2009, so like 14 years.
how often do you read fanfics? Every day, if my brain is healthy enough that day! I sometimes take breaks of a couple months and only read published books though, I feel I get a different experience from both that I can equally appreciate.
top 3 characters from your current fandom(s): Mickey Milkovich, Bakugou Katsuki, Billy Hargrove. Angry disaster babies, I guess.
have you ever written a fic for a fandom? I’ve written 167 fics, not including those on my Patreon. So, over 170 fics, at least.
have you ever drawn fanart for a fandom? No! Funny that I got accepted on scholarship to NIU for Theater & Art, partially on my art portfolio, but I never create any art for anything!
share a personal headcanon that you feel very strongly about: Ian loves his mom more than he feels comfortable saying, because he feels like it's a family and even personal betrayal. I think it’s impossible to accurately describe how to feels to grow up with an abusive parent who vacillates wildly between adoring and abusive, but there’s no feeling quite like loving and hating your parent, desperately wishing you could be what they wanted so they’d stay, and hoping you never see them again. I know we’ve seen Ian follow Monica more than any other kids, but I think that any time he curses her out to his siblings or whoever else, each bad word is also like a self-cut.
you’re trying to convince a friend to get into your current fandom(s) If for My Hero Academia, I would have them watch the Heroes Rising movie, for Shameless I don’t even KNOW where I’d begin tbh LOL
and finally, what does fandom mean to you? Fandom is family! I’ve been in fandom for fourteen years, and I have so so so many real life friends who have been with me through literally the hardest parts of my life. My divorce, my ex husband going to prison, the birth of my child, me being a single parent, moving back to America, my coma, my kidney transplant. My fandom friends from across the world have uplifted me and been my support system through every single high and low. I don’t know how I’d be here without them, quite literally.

Thoughts on the upcoming Fawlty Towers reboot coming in the future (plus any thoughts on the somewhat leaked plot details for the FT reboot)?
Let's start off by saying that I'm pretty sure this reboot will never see the light of day imo. This ESSAY will be based only on my view of Basil sooo take whatever you want from it.
okay so Sybil died, poor lady, and everybody else left a 90-something year old Basil ALONE (let's remember Basil is canonically several years older than John), and I don't think he'd be the type of 90 or more year old who would still be doing a lot of things, I think he would be a bit braindead IMO. This doesn't sound like the greatest plot ever but maybe John will surprise us? idk and I don't think so, after all Fawlty Towers was about ALL the characters involved: they were just like the organs of a body and Basil was the brain, that is, important but it really couldn't work all alone. Now this body is mostly dying and maybe this brain can't keep doing all the work alone, so just kill it (don't kill John for real please). It should have ended in 1979 with Basil having to close the hotel after the dude found the mice in the biscuit box or whatever it was idk I've watched the last episode back in 2021 and never again because it's not a fav of mine.
let's comment the plot now:
-The very fact that they killed off Sybil like that, I don't know...just say Basil divorced her (or the contrary, which is more likely) and she went her own way somewhere really really far away, she doesn't really have to die to write her off.
-Back to the thing that now Basil is like a mummy or something: it surprises me he can turn a smartphone on tbh HAHAHAHHAHAHAH. idk I imagine him as being not too keen on technology, maybe since the release of the first home computers
-Let's now have a brief word about the cheating on Sybil trope: IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN, END OF THE STORY. Basil may have been sexually repressed, as some state, but I don't think he would really fuck a guest just like that, he would never have the balls (and interest) to. I mean, he knew Sybil would have killed him for good if she found out (and I'm sure she would have somehow, I just trust her okay). Plus he seems the type of guy who wasn't really playing about his set of morals. But maybe there still might be a teeny tiny chance he might have done it and got away with it? Well I'm sure that would make him the most hated man on earth just like his creator John. Bye bye "most beloved character" title :/.
-Him being in the Caribbean would mean a longer and not as equally good edition of "The Germans" episode. Now this point is a quite delicate one, because 1 honestly it's true you can no longer make race diversity jokes without having the OBLIVIOUS public coming at you because they don't understand when a racist joke is SATIRE about racist people or JUST racist, it's all on the context. 2 As we all know, John isn't (and imo has never been) the most admirable person when it comes to talking about diversity and all that dance and, as many are afraid of, I'm too afraid he would insert some "racist" phrases that are probably JUST racist and no longer SATIRE as it was in "The Germans" since, you know, he seems to have gone completely nuts on a random day of 2019 and he's changed COMPLETELY. 3 honestly, John is a smart person after all, maybe he will still manage to make BASIL look racist as always and not HIM HIMSELF (what I'm saying is: he must still be able to diversify between what BASIL would say and think and what HE would say and think).
-idk the type of stuff Camilla did because it's mostly unknown movies, but not the cool type like wow this movie should be more known, no I think she starred in that type of "2$ budget movie white middle aged women watch" (I'm white too ofc but not as white as an american so let me use this expression). Plus she's a standup comedian soooo...I've never really like series written by stand up comedians, except Seinfeld tbh (even tho I'm not a fan of Jerry Seinfeld in general). Maybe she'll lack that something that a "witty-at-times" serie like Fawlty Towers needs. But again I don't know her and I hope to be wrong.
IN CONCLUSION I'd like to say that honestly I'd give it a watch, illegally of course, John shan't see a single shelling coming from my view of the reboot. But who knows? Maybe he'll prove all of us wrong by writing another great thing? Maybe not as great as the 1975/1979 version but still acceptable? Maybe it will even have its deep moments who knows...
PERSONALLY I already know I wouldn't like it as I am more old school than Basil could ever be, and I despise anything made after 1990s/2000s and I cringe everytime I hear a reference to social networks (or internet itself) or today's, inexistent let me add, so called "pop culture". Maybe this wouldn't be the case as it's not needed? Idk we'll see when and IF the series will be made. I only hope it won't be a sort of "Cleese propaganda" and the umpteenth "Cleese and daughter thing that is actually kinda cringe, Camilla should have stuck to modelling" type of thing (it may sound harsh but I don't really like standup comedians)

have you ever heard of the show, the mummy animated series. If you haven't followed the adventures of Alex O'Connell and his archaeologist parents, the Mummy tracks them down. Set one year after The Mummy Returns, this series follows the adventures of Alex O'Connell and his archaeologist parents, as The Mummy tracks them down. The show seems similar to egyxos before Alex has a power artifact the bad guy wants. If you are interested, the show is peacock.
Oh I heard of it and I first I was going to watch it because The Mummie is one of my FAV old movies and because of the bad guy design. LOOK AT THAT MOUTH BOI... but then I saw a clip
Tumblr media
And I said no thanks...
But also, since we are talking about cartoons using Egyptian themes then may I introduce you to Mummies Alive!!
Tumblr media
I highly advise you (or anyone else) to give it a try. It has some questionable depictions of some gods but it is still a fun show to watch. Too bad that the protagonist doesn't use a bracelet like the other two kids or else we would have here our Big Three...

Since I laughed at you for not having the anon asks on, I'll ask you a question. :P
Aside from Titanic, what other movies inspire you when drawing Cleon?
I love Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock so much that I want them to be my celebrity parents. But they are just best friends and always have been this way since they worked on the film Speed (1994), and The Lake House (2006) 12 years later.
When I first got into Cleon, they were the only "couple" in my mind and I have been preaching this ever since. I think they are my core of Cleon, and I rewatch Speed every month lmao.
I've also mentioned a few movies on my AO3 log, and here are MORE honorable mentions:
Action Movies:
Point Break (1991) Someone recommended me to watch Fast & Furious series for RE AU(and I have), but this movie is the OG of F&F series.
The Gray Man (2022) Kickass power couple saving a little girl, together. I use it for RE4 era ref, and I kinda have a reverse AU of Claire being trained to be an FBI agent to follow her brother's steps and Leon is just a random college boy.
Mission Impossible series I was talking with my friend about how Hollywood cliche Capcom can be.
RED (2010) & RED 2 (2013) If RE9 is about the OG team reunion like DI, they will be exactly like these movies, grandpas & grandmas still kicking ass.
Fantasy & Rom-com:
One Day (2011) Friends to lovers…The drama. In fact, my newest art has used this for ref, and you will see it in 2 days.
Now and Then (1995) Teenage Cleon. Childhood neighbors, enemies to friends to crushes lmao.
What Maisie Knew (2012) Spoiler alert I'm planning to draw a series of this. I'm not into Cleon having children but if they are, I'll do it my way ;)
Life as We Know It (2010) Enemies to friends to lovers again. And raising a baby together.
No Strings Attached (2011), Friends with Benefits (2011) Not really into FWB Cleon but you writers kinda like to write this? So I rewatch them recently, well, it could work.
The Mummy (1999) You cannot tell me Rick O'Connell didn't reference Leon's design. Again, gonna draw this soon.
The Huntsman: Winter's War(2016) Pretty average, I only use ref for outfit design but Jessica Chastain is so beautiful in this. (But my ideal live-action Claire is Rebecca Ferguson, just FYI)
Far and Away (1992) LMAO I've always thought of this movie as the prequel of Titanic.
Angst:
Drive (2011) My favorite movie of all time. And I saw someone already draw it, I reblog it to my main account a few days ago. I will draw another one soon, my fav scene is not the elevator scene so, no worries.
Marriage Story (2019) Literally just rewatched it last night. I love the arguing/fighting scene so much, and it kinda suits my idea of how Claire will leave Leon for his drinking problem.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) I don't know why this movie got so much hate, but I think the part when Steve came back and later Diana has to let him go…Inspired me to draw Cleon.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) Directed by David Fincher. It's more for Claire honestly. But the Scandinavian scenery is something I long for.
Sci-fi:
Oblivion(2013), Edge of Tomorrow(2014) Both staring Tom Cruise. And I regret that I didn't go to the theater for both of them, at the time I thought the posters were boring, but they turned out to be really good, at least for my taste.
Not gonna put Romeo and Juliet (1996) on the list bc I don't use Leonardo DiCaprio for my Leon when drawing, I use Brad Pitt more, for he has a better fashion sense haha. Claire Danes is already perfect.
Some TV shows as well:
Full House (1987-1995) Uncle Jesse & Aunt Becky, just search them on Pinterest.
My So-Called Life (1994-1995) Angela Chase & Jordan Catalano. I Only use Jared Leto's appearance for ref; characteristically speaking, Leon is more like Brian in this show.
Peaky Blinders (2013-2022) For Noir outfit or Mob AU cuz why not?
Rougue One (2016 movie), Andor (2022) I love Star Wars and fuck…Cassian and Jyn are so Cleon-coded! I'm mostly into SW fashion, they have some dope jackets in Andor. Seriously go watch, Andor is as good as The Last of Us.
Ride with Norman Reedus (2016-) They got some cool bikes in the first season and Cleon bike date on PCH…My beach Cleon is inspired by this show actually.
I didn't even try hard to think about these and can still go on for days…Still, I think it's good enough for one ask for now hehe.

So @beammeupbroadway tagged me (well, technically my alt, but still) to list my 9 favorite movies in order of release and I’m a low-key film nut so of course I was going to love putting this together. Took me a half an hour to narrow down my favs and honestly some of these were a total toss-up I could’ve easily have expanded this list into a top 20.
Honorable mentions include but are not limited to: Casablanca, Psycho, The Godfather, Rocky, Forrest Gump, Ratatouille, The Replacements, Miracle, The Mummy, Into the Spiderverse, Spiderman 3 (yeah I love the Sam Raimi flicks bite me), Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron, Everything Everywhere All at Once, and the New York Giants 2007 World Championship Celebration DVD
Tagging @callmeguacamole @holybatgirlz and anyone else who wants to do it but seriously movies make me smile
Explanation for my picks under the cut!
To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)
This is mostly stemming from the fact that I adore the source material, which I read in 8th grade and still remember very vividly, but this is also a prime example of how to perfectly adapt a movie from another source. The changes, if there even were changes, are minor or additive to the overall experience, and what was strong about the original book is still retained through the excellent performances of the movie’s leads (especially Gregory Peck bc DAMN there’s a reason that man is one of the greatest American actors of all time). I haven’t seen this movie in a while but the fact that the story of it is more pertinent and timely than ever makes me want to give it a rewatch. If you haven’t watched it because you listen to it’s detractors on social media say dumb stuff, ignore them and watch it. Or at the very least read the original, because the original is SUCH a fucking good novel.
Jaws (1975)
Y’all ever have those movies where the movie itself is good but the way they had to go about making the damn thing is just as, if not more interesting? That’s Jaws for me. Seriously, look up some of the documentaries they made on just how fucking bonkers the production for this movie was. Nothing worked, the crew all hated Spielberg, they were like 100 days over schedule, no one expected this movie to actually do well. Well, suffice to say that this movie basically created the modern blockbuster as we know it and was briefly the highest grossing movie of all time, so yeah, I think it did well. If you want to watch what I would consider one of the best horror movies every made, watch Jaws. It’s a movie basically carried by 3 men and a boat but HOT DAMN, do they carry this fucking movie.
The Princess Bride (1987)
The Princess Bride is the first movie I ever saw out of these 9. When I was a kid I definitely didn’t really get the appeal and a lot of concepts it was trying to convey went right over my head, so if you’re reading this and experienced something similar, I recommend watching it again. There’s a reason this movie hasn’t been remade yet despite the slew of remakes/reimagining coming out of Hollywood these days: it is honestly a perfect story. There is literally no way to improve upon it. The formatting is excellent, the actors are all perfectly casted (RIP Andre the Giant you found those horses so well) and the arcs everyone goes through are just...so good. It’s just a timeless story that doesn’t need to be remade and retold, and the fact that an iconic line/joke/meme has come out of at least every single scene in this movie is a testimony to that. Out of this entire list, this is the one movie I’ll force people to watch on the spot if they haven’t already. It’s that good.
Titanic (1997)
Fuck the haters, this movie is great. I’m sorry, but as someone who really does not like sweeping romance films bc I think they’re corny and dumb, I unabashedly love this movie and I will always watch it at least once when it cycles back onto Netflix. It’s probably because they play the melodrama up in such an overblown yet still kinda believable way while at the same time keeping an insane amount of the historical accuracy and attention to detail. It’s one of those movies where you can rewatch and always pick out something you haven’t seen before or another bit of trivia you never noticed.  You can watch this Lindsay Ellis video to learn more about why this film is actually better than the haters claim it is.
Remember the Titans (2000)
Look. Is this movie perfect? No. Does this movie embellish a lot of the real-life story it’s based on? Yes. Does this movie water down race relations in the 1970′s American South to a story that’s easily palatable for white audiences? Yes. Do I care? IDFK man, but all I know when Yoast tells the defense that they’re going to “BLITZ! ALL! NIGHT!” and in doing so sacrifices his reputation and personal glory for the sake of his players? Man, I feel that in my fucking soul. I revisit this movie every so often because for as corny and cheesy as it is, it is a really well done corny and cheesy sports flick that tells the story it needs to tell. Also, having a 20 year old Ryan Gosling running around in the background helps.
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
Out of all the movies on this list, this is probably the one I’ve watched the most. That’s mostly due to this being my brother’s favorite movie, and his go-to pick to watch when we did roadtrips as children, so I’ve probably seen this movie at least 20 times (and I don’t think I’ve ever seen the theatrical cut either-- we owned the special editions and I think that’s the only version I’ve ever watched). But yeah, there’s a reason this movie swept the Oscars the year it came out lol. For a movie that’s going on twenty years old the technical stuff and effects in it are still frighteningly impressive, and the writing and directing is so fucking tight on this thing holy shit. There was a time that my brother Sam and I could quote Aragorn’s entire speech at the Black Gates LINE BY LINE at the drop of a hat. I really didn’t like this movie growing up because I was like 6 when it came out and it was so violent, but now? Yeah this movie fucking rocks.
The Princess and the Frog (2009)
Fuck the haters, this movie is great (part II). This movie got a lot of stupid bullshit flack for a number of reasons, mostly for having a black princess and for being a hand-drawn animated film in a world where 3D animation was slowly becoming more popular, but this movie is still my favorite Disney princess movie and nothing will ever change that. The animation is gorgeous, the characters are lovable, the music is SEVERELY underrated for how good it is, and the 1920′s New Orleans setting is a perfect place to put a reimagined version of this story tbh. It’s ridiculous that Disney is only now giving this movie it’s due with rides and theming at it’s parks because it’s ALWAYS been an amazing film and has been unnecessarily shat upon for the past dozen years.
Creed (2015)
As a lot of my friends and some of the people on this website know, I’m a massive fan of sports movies and seeing what makes a particular sports movie work when it incorporates one sport over another. That being said, I’m a much bigger fan of boxing movies than I am of actual irl boxing. Rocky is probably the quintessential sports movie, but restarring Sly Stallone with Michael B. Jordan playing the son of his dead best friend was just...ugh. The themes of legacy? Family? Balancing the fragility of life and death and how you can still choose to honor both? Rocky needed to be in this film for it to work, and MBJ bounces off of him so well to make just a perfect followup to a franchise that honestly didn’t really need to be continued like this. I’ll touch on the fight scenes of another movie a few entries down but the fight scenes in Creed really don’t get enough credit for how visceral they are (especially that long take fight against Leo I STILL rewatch that scene). And also, “Fighting Stronger” is such a good song and the scene it’s in still plays in my head on fucking loop I love this movie so much y’all.
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)
Oh Keanu. As someone who’s seen a good 3/4s of his filmography, I have beared witness to some surprisingly good movies (The Replacements, Henry’s Crime), some unsurprisingly awful movies (Sweet November, Knock Knock), and some “this movie is so batshit fucking stupid that I kinda can’t help but love it” movies (47 Ronin, Johnny Mnemonic). But of all his films, I still think the John Wick movies are still some of his best work. I personally know that the first John Wick from 2014 is the better movie, but I’m sorry, JW3 is my current favorite of the series so far, and that’s saying a lot considering series fatigue is definitely a thing. Fun and flashy fights, gorgeous cinematography (the neon-catholic angel/devil aesthetic for this movie still makes me froth at the mouth), and worldbuilding that isn’t as extreme as the last movie but still shifts everything around so you don’t know how the next movie is going to go given the choices John and his allies make in this film. I’m so beyond excited for John Wick 4 y’al have no idea give it to me now Stahelski before I die

10 Characters from 10 Fandoms
I was tagged for this by @gxldandpurple
How to play: name 10 of your favourite characters from 10 different fandoms, then tag 10 people to do the same
Putting them under the cut! Some of them are me stretching a little bit in terms of fav status but here we go
1) Bruce Wayne (Batman) - DC
My beloved husband. I love an emotionally constipated dilf, and especially one with a strong sense of justice. The most handsome man to ever do it
2) Cindy Moon (Silk) - Marvel
I tend to like the Spider-people the most. Also I related a lot to part of her most recent run talking a little about some feelings of disconnect from Korean heritage
3) James Ironwood - RWBY
Once again. I love emotionally constipated dilfs. Also he’s so interesting and tragic of a character, and I adore him so much
4) Annie January (Starlight) - The Boys (show. never the comic)
First off she’s pretty. Second off, I think her arcs in the show have been so good, and she’s really compelling
5) Jayce Talis - Arcane
I may have a type in terms of men and that’s muscular and tall with a square jaw and dark hair. Also I think he’s sweet
6) Evelyn Wang - Everything Everywhere All At Once
I love complexity so much and mothers realizing how they have made mistakes, making efforts to change things
7) Paul Matthews - The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals
The most just a guy character ever. But he’s my guy. I enjoy it when he gets doomed by the narrative
8) Aglaya Lilich - Pathologic
Yet another lovely doomed by the narrative character. Her Patho2 theater performance about how the only crime is betrayal lives in my head rent free. Also the inquisitors are just so interesting
9) Booker DeWitt - Bioshock
Maybe I just like war criminals. What then
10) Akane Kurashiki - Zero Escape
Hello Schrodinger’s girlfriend. Tell me more about the mummy that was on the Titanic and Ice-9
I’m also awful at tagging people so I’m just gonna go with @nebulas-bebulas @transmascnaoto @hey-whatchamacallit and anyone else who wants to do this!

Last movie - Dead Poet’s Society!! One of my go to comfort movies.
Currently reading - so many things. All the young dudes years 5-7, the raven boys, this is how you loose a time war, and Jewish Literacy

Ok so The band is called Ghost!!! Y'know how Gorillaz has its whole shtick about being an animated band releasing real music? Ghost is the same way except not animated; the band is made up of the lead singer, currently Papa Emeritus IV (aka Copia) and a bunch of demons called the Nameless Ghouls. The band is also a satanic church! Papa is sort of like a priest (which is why he's Papa-- a mockery of calling priests father) and the other members are the Siblings of Sin. We're currently on Papa IV, but there were actually Four papas before him: Papa Nihil, Papa I, Papa II, and Papa III. Papa Nihil started the band and is also the father of papas 1-3. He may or may not also be the father of Copia; it's never confirmed but it's implied that he's the bastard child of Nihil and Sister Imperator (another high ranking member of the church) Ok now the ghouls. There's lots of them and we don't know who's under the masks. First there's Omega, aka Aether or Quintessence, he's the sorta lader of the ghouls!! He plays lead guitar, and you can tell him apart from the other guitarists by the fact his guitar is black. He also wears a lot of rings. He's overall chill but he does like to fuck around, especially with Alpha, aka Dewdrop, the other lead guitarist. Alpha has immense short guy rage syndrome lmao and he's kinda an asshole (affectionate) Then there's Rain, the base guitarist. He's got mega anxiety which is a little problematic considering metal band lmao but he's a sweetheart Mountain is the drummer and on the rare case that Omega doesn't have the braincell, he has it. He's a gentle giant and he's kinda like the group therapist lmao Then there's Swiss, short for Swiss Army Ghoul; he bounces around and plays whatever he's needed, usually keys or aux percussion. He's a chill dumbass, would totally eat candles just to piss off Multi, the other multi-purpose ghoul. She's sisterly and very cute and goes HARD on the keytar There's a few more ghouls but those are the main ones Back to the papas Copia loves rats and is an introvert and rides a tricycle around the church and it's great Papa III aka Terzo is… A whore NEHRKWB he's my personal fav papa and he's fucking ridiculous and he's clumsy (he's fallen on stage many times, the only papa to do so) and he's totally trans cus fuck you OKAY. SONGS From The Pinnacle to the Pit is about the fall of Lucifer and it goes HARD. The bassline is sooooo good!!! Rain sounds amazing Year Zero is about the birth of the antichrist and it goes super hard. At the beginning it chants the names of demons and ohhhhhhh man it slaps Square Hammer is such a good song I spent like 14 hours making a cover of it :D it goes super fucking hard Dance Macabre is what happens when Ghost tries to write a love song and it goes super hard Mummy Dust has SUCH a good key part!!!! In the wise words of papa himself it is one heavy motherfucker. And Cirice. Ohhhhh Cirice. Cirice is so good it won a fucking Grammy. It legit gives me chills to this fucking day. It's about how the church manipulates the masses and it's so fucking good. If you take one thing away from this rant it's that Cirice is one of the best songs ever written. so that's ghost ! now you know way too much about the band that made me a satanist <3 i will gladly send you pictures of any of the characters if you're interested
Ayo this is pretty damn cool

Hello 😊
Welcome to my account. It’s a bunch of nonsense and memes.
I don’t bite so feel free to message :)
I am safe to talk to or vent to about whatever. Just be sure to let me know before you vent to me, okay? 🧷
About me:
I’m a INFJ lesbian who goes by She/Her
Age: 18+ (But my account is open everyone😊)
My favourite films are:
The Labyrinth
The Mummy
Stardust
Ever After, A Cinderella story.
10 things I hate about you
Princess Bride
13 going on 30
The Addams Family 1991
Nanny McPhee
Scooby Doo! (Live action)
The Last Mimzy (Massively underrated)
Fantastic Mr Fox
Hocus Pocus
Wall-E
Beauty and the beast
Robin Hood (Disney)
Aristocats
Enchanted
Into The Spider-Verse
Kingsman
Detective Pikachu
Matilda (I don’t know if I want to be adopted by Miss Honey or marry her-)
Mirror Mirror (Fav Snow White ever)
Everything Everywhere All At Once (Made me cry sm, but for good reasons)
Gunpowder milkshake (my gayness was through the roof. It’s such an underrated film)
Baby Driver!!!
The Hobbit and Lord of the rings.
I love stop motion/animated movies. They are so stunning 🥰
My favourite TV shows:
Dr Who (Has been for like 75% of my life, not joking)
Sarah Jane Adventures
Bones
Criminal Minds
Supernatural
Sherlock (yes. I’m a superwholock-)
Good Omens
Series of unfortunate events
Castle
Merlin
Stranger Things
Julie and The Phantoms
The Repair Shop (Yes the one on BBC. It’s satisfying.)
BBC Ghosts
Horrible Histories🐀
LOCKWOOD & Co!!!
I read a lot of books so I thought I’d also put down my favourite books as well:
A Good Girls Guide To Murder Book Series by Holly Jackson
Wonderland by Juno Dawson
Twisted Tale series by Elizabeth J. Braswell, Jen Calonita and Elizabeth Lim
And that’s only to name a few. I feel like this will be a long ass list if I listed every book I liked.
I would list my favourite songs but my favourite genre of songs fluctuates too much. In fact I don’t think I have a favourite genre of songs I just listen to a song and I like it. So my list of songs would somehow be longer than my list of books.
Random facts:
My favourite flowers are snow drops, sweet peas and daisies. But snow drops specifically.
I love the colour Burgandy, Alice Blue and Yellow (Preferably a warm pastel)
I despise J.K Rowling but unfortunately she is responsible for an amazing universe 😒
But jokes on her because I’m a Marauders fan so I’m a Ravenclaw (still salty that they changed the colours and mascot in the movie. And now all of the merch is wrong 😑)
I really love The Execution of Lady Jane Grey painting by Paul Delarouche and would love to see it in person.
If you start talking about my favourite shows, films, books or games I will not apologise for the long ass rant I will do, so be prepared to listen 😤
Which brings me on to my next point. If you want me to shut up. Just put on a movie I like (preferably something animated or stop motioned) because I will stop and just stare in wonder like a fucking child.
Remember to hydrate and try to eat something (even if it’s something small, don’t force yourself)
Bye 👋

We're watching the Mummy, one of my fav movies ever, but just. Okay, if a punishment's side effect was creating a literal elemental being out for revenge and necromancy, don't you think there's maybe a different punishment he could have been given? No? Just me?

Day 8 - Jan 8 - Copenhagen
I am so tired. I was up so late doing laundry and planning today. Woke up many times throughout the night.. got up in the morning sooo slowly. Didn’t make it to Hart Bageri, just came to Smagsloget for sandwiches instead bc Emmagene recommended and I’ve already had so many pastries this week.
I’m a little behind schedule but whatever I’m exhausted.. 😴🥱
I went to City Hall but I didn’t see an entrance or people going in so I just took a couple photos and went to the Museum of Copenhagen instead. I think i was their first or second customer, so it was pretty quiet. It was a cute and quaint little museum! Finished it in around an hour. My fav exhibit was their special exhibit about the history of pubs in Copenhagen. Cool tidbit of pop culture.
From there, I walked across the street to Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, which had a bit of a queue. I had to pay 20 DKK for a stupid coin, I wish they had just given me a 20 DKK coin instead of their coin. Anyways, it was a suuuper cool art museum filled with Greek, Roman, and Egyptian art and mummies!!! Gorgeous place. Got some cool photos. Easily could’ve spent more time there, but had to get to the next place. I spent a few minutes eating the first half of my sandwich. It was gooood but like I should’ve gotten a vegetarian option. I got the #1 bc it was most popular but it has ham and bacon in it. I ended up taking it out 😂 but the Brie and veggies were bomb and it was a suuuper filling sandwich.
The National Museum of Denmark is one of the largest museums I’ve ever been to holy shit. I understand why people spend 5 hours here. I raced through some exhibits in order to make it to the Royal Palace in time.

OH MUMMY ASKS? LETS GO. For starters...Imhotep is my fav evil mr clean. My first idea was a short reader getting cornered him, you know that scene when Brendan Fraser just yells back? My idea was for this short mostly timid looking reader getting cornered by him. Him screaming as he does and then with their whole chest reader yells louder then he does. surprising him if thats ok, ps love that u love the mummy.
*snort* Evil Mr. Clean. I love it. That's amazing. I love that you love the Mummy too.
Tumblr media
A week ago your world had been perfectly ordinary. Mummies were nothing more but corpses wrapped in linen. But now, one had come back to life to terrorize the world of the living. The very one you were running from now.
You turned a corner, a dead end, shit. Turning to hopefully run back out, you see a smiling Imhotep. Shit, this wasn't good. His smile widens, then he turns to scream as loud as he can, his jaw unhinging in a decayed imitation of a snake. Had you not been through what you'd already been through, you might just have fainted. However, right then, you did the only thing you could think of: Take a deep breath and let out your own screech. To his surprise yours was much louder, more piercing than he could've ever hoped for.
You took this moment to rush past him, shoulder checking him on the way. A little triumph you knew wouldn't last long, but you'd take it. Imhotep turned to watch your tiny retreating form, smiling to himself. The hunt, it seemed, was on.
