𓇼 DON’T WORRY, YOUR SUCCESS IS INEVITABLE 𓇼
There’s nothing you can do to stop the fact that you’re going to live your dream life.

˚˖𓍢ִִ໋🌊🦈˚˖𓍢ִ✧˚.
If you’re down in the dumps about still being where you don’t want to be, Remember it’s already done. Take yourself to the wish fulfilled and stay there.
My favourite analogy is The Train Between Two Cities. I saw this a while ago {whether it was pinterest or reddit, i have no clue} and it really opened my eyes. I’ll pick two cities like i did in a post a while ago. Let’s say you’re on a train to Milan from Paris. Once you get on that train you know being in Milan is inevitable, you’re basically already there. No matter what, you can read on the train, talk to other passengers, eat to your heart’s content, no matter what, you’re going to end up in Milan.
You are on the train. No matter what the 3d shows you, it’s inevitable, you will end up in your dream life. This analogy has really helped me to remain in the sabbath state aka the state of the wish fulfilled when it comes to any new desires I may have. They are no longer desires they are just mine, they’re yours.
This analogy can be applied to vacations too, once you get on the plane to Greece, you’re practically already in Greece. You don’t doubt for a second no matter what that the next time you step off the plane you’ll be in Greece, in fact, you’re not even thinking about the how, you just know that the pilot is taking you where you paid to be. You sit there without thinking, your just there, eating, talking to whoever, reading a book, staring at your new aeroplane crush, you don’t care about the how or why you’re just enjoying the ride because you know that trip in Greece is yours.
There’s already apart of your mind soaking up the mediterranean sun, with a colourful drub in your had. That’s why you’re so excited. There is a part of your consciousness already living the life you want, there is a part of you there. Take whatever method you’re using on a pedestal, whether it be inducing the void state, waking up with everything with SATS, or whatever, it’s shouldn’t matter to you so much because you know it’s yours already.
Once you take it off a pedestal it will be 100% easier for you. Especially pure consciousness, it’s just a measly meditation when you aren’t obsessing over it, and you’ll realise that. It’s not the ticket to your dream life when you’re already there. Why would you crave a ticket to a place you’re already at?
The train will stop at Milan NO MATTER WHAT. The plane will land in Greece NO MATTER WHAT. Your desired life is yours NO MATTER WHAT.
It’s inevitable, just place your awareness there.
YOU’RE LIVING THE DREAM ALREADY, RELAX

ENDGAME VOID METHOD
Hello, lovely people of Tumblr. I'm sure you're tired of seeing one challenge after another, and at this point you're tired of trying and giving up. But not anymore!
I was away for a few weeks now because I was focusing on learning the law properly. If you have followed me for a while, then you'd know I was pretty obsessed with void for months!
While I was away focusing on learning the law, I came across this post and decided to give it a try. This seemed like a promising method because it is similar to the phase method, but a lot less complicated. It gave me huge success in my very first try.
I wanted to attempt void through Lucid dreaming (which is evident if you see my previous posts) but the reddit post changed my mind and made everything a lot more simpler. This method is based on Astral projection, and as the diagram represents - it is much closer to void. Also, it is easier to have an AP compared to LD.

Okay so I've been in a major rut with shifting for a while now. I've been trying to shift for about 5-6 years now but I haven't had any results. Not a minishift, not anything like that. I'm trying so hard to keep the faith here but with nothing to go on i feel like im going a little crazy? Do you have any advice or anything really cause I am so tired of feeling lost
take a break. and i mean it seriously. not in a awww way but in a this is my advice.
get out of shifting spaces. tumblr, tiktok, reddit, everything. stop reading posts about methods and shifting help, leave this behind. forget about shifting for a while. those 6 years? they are in the past. leave them alone. do not think of them. don't pity yourself.
go outside and read a book and watch a good tv show. don't think about shifting. don't try to shift.
forget about everything you learned and your anger towards yourself. stop obsessing over it (or your past with anything shifting related) for a few weeks or even months.
leave faith and embrace yourself.
then come back with a fresh mind. new self, less stressed out and less angry and less anxious and less cynical.
you may not believe me but leaving shifting spaces for a while is a good thing

than copy-paste my ask w/out the stuff about his acting bc the rest of the stuff i said is still completly valid. i don't get why stans refuse to even admit that their fav is some times a bad person and call them out on their bullshit. you can still like him without ignoring or excusing his shitty behavoir
"not trying to start anything i really want to hear your and other ppls opinions. after seeing that redit video today abt the onset fight combined with other stuff glenn has said and done like the antivax stuff. im starting to really dislike glenn. he acts like a self obsessed tool all the time but so many stans baby him so much that they refuse to see or say anything about it [deleted] but maybe you or others have reasons to stan him pls share bc im clearly missing somthing. i dont want to not like him but hes making it very hard"
(the Reddit video being Rob talking about how Glenn freaked out during the filming of The Gang Saves the Day because he didn't feel comfortable getting "shot" in the scene with Dee killing all of them and threw a tantrum on set)
First of all, I don't think anyone refuses to admit Glenn is anything but perfect, and I also don't think anyone excuses his "shitty behaviour," but while you only may have just become aware of this moment, it was first brought to light in 2017, right before Glenn left the show "for good" and has kinda been hashed to death. If you're genuinely asking 'why is no one talking about Glenn's temper tantrums from 8+ years ago,' idk how to answer that question other than: why would we be? It's just not relevant
We know, from set stories and Glenn himself, that Glenn has gone through many ups and downs on the set of Sunny. He's spoken quite a bit about how his attitude has ruined the vibe and created a lot of tension in the writers room and on set before, and it's something he needed Rob to bring to his attention in Season 11 because he couldn't recognise it harmed other people (and that's what led him to realise he needed to walk away). I think it's not, like, a hidden or dismissed aspect of his personality that he's a diva, even today after righting his attitude and returning, he still tends to "method act" to a degree when he's playing Dennis and comes off a certain way
So yes, he's been "exposed" as a brat on set and a little entitled in general, and he's got some questionable views on health, for sure and I think that can make you dislike him and if that's so...that's fine. I don't think anyone in this fandom cares if you do or don't, honestly, but that works both ways.
People who post about Glenn in fond ways aren't going to disclose that they know he's entitled and centrist every time they post anything about him, but whenever something does happen/come out, people do criticise it in the moment. The Podcast brought a lot to light and it seemed like weekly we were scrutinizing something RCG said but, like, there's genuinely nothing Glenn has done in the past year that the fandom has chosen to ignore for the sake of excusing his shitty behaviour...? Are we supposed to rehash dead and buried RCG drama just because it was reposted to a different platform?
I get if you're just learning about him as a person now it can be weird to see most people who are actively talking about him seem to just be stanning him blindly, but that's really not true. The TASP days are just behind us, and Glenn's PR is very strong with his gay whiskey tour front and center (and you're asking me lol).
As to providing you with reasons for stanning him... just search "Glenn Howerton Interview" on Youtube.. or watch this one .. and if you don't get it, you probably just don't like him and that's fine, lol he'll probably get you eventually if you're around long enough
#i think its funny when i get asks like this lowkey like#what about me meeting him a dozen times makes you tihnk im gonna give an unbiased opinion#i mean. ill TRY#but you know once you're like. physically in his presence. and he smiles at you with that vampire grin. its game over.#glenn howerton does shots with you at nyc pride what are you gonna do.. say no? youre a bit of a cunt?#thats the appeal baby#call my body mind and soul bewitched#also yk. the fact that hes the queer one helps over here lol#ask#glenn howerton#discourse#ig idk

I think I've figured out how to let go
(originally posted on Reddit by me, but I thought I'd share it here as well)
Doesn't apply to everyone!!! We all have different journeys and different things that work for us! These are just some thoughts, take them with a grain of salt. If it doesn't resonate with you, then it's not for you.
I've been thinking a lot about this recently because I felt like I'm trying to control too much of my DR to the point that it has become an obsession. For almost three years, I've been doing the same thing over and over again. I create myself a DR with the perfect life, perfect backstory, perfect S/O, perfect family, etc. It's all so perfect and planned out that it has no room for growth. When you have everything, that's just not fun.
Then when all the planning and scripting is done, I lose interest, and it's not getting me anywhere. No matter how perfect these DRs are, they feel distant, unrealistic, and unreachable. They're just too good to be true. I'm sure that such realities exist, but for me, it's not a realistic goal YET because I'm clearly struggling to get there. And I know I'm not the only one who feels this way and I'm trying to come up with a solution for that.
So if my DR is already perfect, then what else is left to do? Nothing. It's not an authentic experience anymore. Perhaps the hardest part is admitting to myself that I don't want the perfect DR or an ideal version of myself because that's what I've been chasing the entire time. The easy way, where I have everything, but it's just not what I want.
I want the human experience where I can find true immersion, where I have no knowledge of the outcome. I want to live, to exist.
Shifting is life. You're not an actor trying to act out a script. It's not just some fantasy, we're talking about reality. But life isn't something that you can plan, is it? There's always something that we can't predict because that's just how it is.
So what is letting go?
Letting go is when you specify only the basics in order to create a grounded reality. You define who you are, where you want to go, create a general idea of your life, maybe who your parents and siblings are, but you let the rest naturally unfold. You don't stress about the little details, you don't make a 20 pages long script.
Put that script aside for a bit. You don't plan your younger brother's personality, you don't plan your neighbor's eyebrow color, you don't plan how many bathrooms your house has, the types of plants your high school biology teacher kept in her classroom, you don't plan your number of friends, or the brand of your first car. You don't plan. You absolutely can do all those things, and having a script doesn't necessarily mean that you're obsessed with control. But if you're like me and that's not working for you, then maybe try considering going back to basics. You don't need specifics to connect to your DR.
It's hard, I know, because we want to be in control and all that. But you're letting go by not trying to control every aspect of your DR. Trust yourself, trust the universe, trust shifting, trust whatever you believe in and let go of your limitations. Create a reality for yourself, a place where you genuinely want to live.
But if you only have the basics, then how do you shift? That doesn't seem enough, but, in theory, it should be. True, you don't have specifics, but you still have the key, the most important thing that you need in order to shift: yourself.
Just lay down, relax, focus on your breathing if that helps. Let go of the details, don't think about them because they're only holding you back. Focus on the idea, the concept of a better reality where you're safe, cared for, and happy. You don't need a method, you don't need to visualize. Just feel and trust that it's happening. Feel the peace and feel the shift pulling you in.
Hope this helps someone. Start open and go living!

Hey I’ve read a little about the law and I kind of don’t care about it. I’ve manifested well without it and honestly it just seems like an over complication so I can still get into the void without using it, because most people do, but everyone on tumblr seems to disagree with that sentiment
Funny story, I actually shifted before I even properly leaned about the law.
I remember this one girl on Reddit who was a very popular shifter told everyone that the key to shifting was the law of assumption and Neville Goddard lectures. She shifted to Harry Potter after understanding his lectures and it only took her only a week after being on her journey for two years.
At this point, I was sooo depressed and down bad to shift. I had tried every single method under the sun on Reddit, Quora, amino, YouTube, and others methods derived from religion….so her telling me this man was my key was an absolute dream. Again I was down bad, so atp I would have eaten cow shit if that’s what it took to shift 😭😭 it is maddening thinking about how depressed and obsessed I was with it but whatever I’m up now.
Anyways I still never really got into the law because it was boring and his lectures made me fall asleep at the time. I was like 17 and didn’t really care how or why shifting worked, I just wanted to escape tbh. Anyways I decided to actually take the law seriously but then the creator who introduced me to the law left Reddit and shifting media because she believed she was mentally ill, and shifting was fake and she had to get therapy.
I remember I hated Neville and the law of assumption after that so I dropped it, which is super funny to me because why was I blaming a dead man for this situation. I avoided it with my life and anytime someone recommended it to me I got unhealthily mad and told them to shut up probably idk. I was 17 and depressed and in a really bad place and that situation just made me spiral beyond anything and ruined my mental health.
Anyways I focused on manifesting better mental health and a better life after that, and shifted my attention to just intention which is literally the everything inside an assumption. I ended up shifting obviously and then I dove into the law out of curiosity because after I did it I just wanted to know.. I guess the logistics behind it because it was a cool phenomenon to me.
But this wasn’t until 6 months after I shifted and now.. well I obviously love the law and understand it and have a blog dedicated to it so I obviously use and recommend it!
What I will say is everything we learn with the law, 3D and 4D, dwelling in imaginations, states, affirm and persist, the ego, I am state, persistence, you know all that good jazz that I even talk about, is simply because we wanna learn and understand it properly. If you don’t want to use the law or whatever that’s fine but understanding assumption creates reality is the bases of everything.
Just understand that and it’s literally the same thing without all the other stuff lol. I guess that’s why I love intention! it’s the premise of everything we do. Intending, wanting, desiring, whatever and then assuming it to be true is so simple and it works. At least that’s how I shifted anyways. Regardless you use the law even if you’re not aware of it, and there are people entering the void, manifesting, and shifting without knowing the law so why would that be different for you?
So if you wanna use the void (which is literally within you, so hating it means hating your pure state of consciousness which is weird)why would the discussion about it even matter unless you assume it does anyways. Idk my perception around it is completely different since I have met a lot of people with experiences with the void (like my church friend who died) but not the way the tumblr girlies use it. It’s valid regardless!
Literally just assume whatever benefits you and resonates with you will work and it will work, point blank periodt.

Rykard’s wonderful toys
(I had originally posted this to Reddit but Reddit wasn’t really doing it for me as far as fandom stuff so I’m putting it here now. If you saw this on Reddit which… I doubt because it was a very small post, hey! Hi!)
Rykard is really the only demigod/being besides Miquella that’s established as a tinkerer. He and his company of inquisitors worked to create instruments of torture, torment, and fear, whether weapons like the Inquisitor’s Girandole or Ghiza’s wheel, or actual machines like the Abductor Virgins. This makes me think maybe Rykard, flame-and-torture-obsessed that he is, is also responsible for the design of the Flame Chariots and Furnace Golems.
Curiously, the flame chariots are found in locations with the flame guardians but also the Carian royals, such as outside Raya Lucaria (maybe captured and commandeered by the Cuckoos?) and throughout Caelid in/around Radahn’s Strongholds (who was, notably, also gifted many many abductor virgins.)
As for the Furnace Golems, we find Abductors outside of Messmer’s “Fort of Reprimand,” and the fact that Gaius’ Remembrance mentions that both he and Messmer “were as older brothers to the Lion” seems to imply that the Carian Siblings were at once maybe friendly with Messmer and the realm of shadow?
As head royal torturer, it wouldn’t surprise me if the methods he applied to making big scary symbolically relevant Abductor Virgins were carried onto other contraptions, and if maybe not the flame chariots I definitely think he at least had a hand in making the Furnace Golems. He seems quite keen on using the faces or icons of reviled beings to psychologically torment potential victims on top of the machine’s actual prowess, seeing as the Abductors are adorned with many snakes and a motherly figure, so it doesn’t seem outlandish to me that he would make enormous, Fire-Giant-and-Fell-God-adorned terror mechs to decimate the Hornsent if asked.
Originally when I had written this, it was really a fun headcanon and of no actual consequence. However, I do think now some months later that Rykard’s being in the land of shadow with the Carian Family is of some significance to some snake symbology that I’ll get to in a later post so if you cared at all about this, look forward to that.
#I am still curious about the intended birth order of the Carians#not that it really matters at all but it’s interesting to me at least#i think it’s widely accepted that Ranni is the youngest#which makes sense in terms of Carian rule where Rennala would probably want to keep trying until they had a girl#to succeed her as Matriarch#I think it makes the most sense that Radahn is oldest and Rykard is in the middle#even though it could be argued Rykard is oldest#seeing as he had an official position in Leyndell#While Radahn was doing… whatever he was doing#it’s interesting that most demigods have concrete evidence as to what they were doing/who they were#before the shattering war#whike I think we really only know that Radahn went to school and fought the stars#only amassing an army for the Shattering?#idk#Elden Ring#Elden Ring Lore#rykard#rykard lord of blasphemy#Elden ring lore theory

i dont know if this is an unusual thing to ask (or if it has been asked before), but i’ve always immensely admired the effort you put in your fics with how well-researched they all are, especially when it comes to cultural details of the story/concept (it’s very immersive because it feels like i’m learning as i read further, not only about the character/s but about the culture the story is set in as well)
and so im curious, how do you start or how do you go about the research when starting a fic?
aw thank you anon!!! I'm so glad you find the fics interesting from a learning perspective, I'm always so happy to hear when people appreciate the research I've done for my fics 🥹
I don't really have a set method for research, but here are some basic tips:
for topics that I don't know a lot about, I usually start by skimming the wikipedia article on the topic, picking out key points of interest that are relevant to the story, and then googling to find academic pages or books on that topic. then I usually try to stick to those sources for my writing, both because they go into more depth and because I know they'll be more reliable than other sources on the web
ALSO when I was writing the yakuza au, which is a topic I knew close to nothing about - for the first time, I tried to begin my research by watching documentaries and video essays on youtube, and it also worked CRAZY well. super digestible and way less labour intensive than googling and trying to find academic sources.
if you're trying to get a sense of everyday life for something, or how a regular person might view/act on the subject rather than an academic or journalist perspective, I find video blogs and reddit threads to be a really informative source. for instance, I've never been to any hostess bars in japan so I tried to look for AMAs from hostesses and was quite successful in that regard (especially for things like terminology/slang that people use)
this final tip is not really a research method per se, but helps with it. in my real life I'm always on the lookout for subjects that I find extremely interesting, and I try to retain as much info about it as I can in case the opportunity ever comes up to write about it. so for example, in my feudal japan au, I came up with those inari shrine plot points because I visited fushimi inari shrine once and got super obsessed with all the fox statues LOL. naturally when I was writing about a fox spirit character, that came back to mind, and I already had a reference point for my research, which helped.
I hope this helps!
#yueshuo.asks#asks.anon#that latter point does mean that ive actually hustled men/gone to red light disricts before while thinking about fanfic 😔#or i GET hustled while thinking about fanfic#wrote about a girls bar because a girl nearly hustled me and got me into a bar while i was in tokyo#only didnt go in because my partner stopped me AGLDGSKSH

Meghans deep shame of being lower class by u/EleFacCafele
Meghan’s deep shame of being lower class One of Meghan’s issues that is rarely discussed is her deep shame of being born in a lower class and her desperate attempt to erase any record of her being of a lower class. Her father, Thomas was a financially successful working-class man but he remained all his life a glorified blue collar. Dorito was socially underclass, with her lack of education, lack of work ethic, absence of any moral value, income generation by criminal activities (drug dealings, scams, using sex to get men, etc) and parasitic way of life by using and then discarding people. When the financially stable Thomas put Meghan in an good middle-class Catholic school, Meghan became of the social differences between her, daughter of a single blue collar and the middle-class, normal family girls. She attached herself to Ninaki Priddy, very middle-class. She felt deeply ashamed of the low social status of her parents and family and, to compensate, she became obsessed to become a Queen, a Princess, someone really at the top of the social hierarchy. All her obsession with Diana is the desire to become an upper class, billionaire, aristocratic princes because she was deeply ashamed of her very low status at birth.Having learned from her mother all the ways of the underclass (don’t give milk for free), she decided to apply her methods of acquiring status and wealth by any means (legit or not), while in parallel erasing her lower class status and inventing an upper-middle class upbringing. Getting a degree was the first step. Erasing her biracial origin and pretending she was a highly cultured Caucasian on CVs came next. Then the Tig blog where she made believe she was a high maintenance, upper middle-class actress with sophisticated luxury tastes. As some actress do, she allegedly used high end prostitution to survive (yachting, Soho house hostess, etc.) while hunting for a rich man. Started to behave as a mean Diva, ruthless, demanding, impossible to satisfy person, as that was her was vision about rich powerful people. She covered all with her curated image of a refined higher-class woman, chasing well-off men (Trevor, Cory then Hapless) in her desperate drive to climb socially and erase her past and background. She then discarded everyone who was of no use, or had stories about her past. When she finally arrived, marrying a blood prince from the most prestigious Royal Family, she desperately tried to hid her low-class mixed race background and shady past. She manipulated her father to stop giving her away, uninvited her entire family (bar her underclass mama to play the Rcard) at the wedding, invited famous people she never knew personally. etc. Later she enlisted her husband and others in "slaying dragons", aka erasing all information that does not fit the image she wants to project aka of an upper class woman (Duchess) with impeccable past, doing philanthropy and being successful financially and socially. Then she run away, as she could not adapt to the World she wanted so desperately to belong. The façade started to crumble, real upper class people saw her imposture, and the Royal Family gave her the boot when her malignant Diva behaviours became unbearable. Her descent from royalty into the world of wannabe celebrity was really fast, just of few years. Her entire pathologically narcissistic behaviour originates from the deep shame of being a lower-class mixed-race woman. Just an explanation, not an excuse. post link: https://ift.tt/hH29ayv author: EleFacCafele submitted: December 26, 2023 at 10:07AM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit

TMAGP 23 spoilers
Thoughts and theories on the latest episode (writing as I listen):
More with the response department paperwork, I've been wondering about the purpose of that. I mean Office of Incident Assessment and "Response" could be related to it? Maybe it isn't actually shut down, just ignored or perhaps intentionally abandoned. Or is Sam just grasping for straws and trying to find meaning in the meaningless instead of what is right in front of him
Yippee Chester case! More themes of identity, feel like that'll be very important in the future and also the present.
I love how they go about the cases in TMAGP, I've always been obsessed with ARGs and weird reddit posts and they really remind me of those
Oh the aquarium thing they're talking about is so real. I genuinely lose myself just staring at those sometimes
"The water was crystal blue and at the bottom there it was. Vibrant, electric almost, and… so very much alive." This bit almost reminds me of the descriptions of Michael Crew in MAG 46??
Chester saying "smiley face" I love that
How-To forum?? Reminds me of those shifting methods things that were going around a little while ago. So very specific. Theres been a lot (like with both Madam E and Ink5oul) about reliance on the internet for happiness/any emotion, possibly more of that?
"She has my eyes." This line is just terrifying for whatever reason
More loss of identity/generally the concept of identity/reaching for a perfect "self".. this is recurring now :(
Okay the post-case dialogue I have already seen everywhere but these could 100% be different Jonathan Sims and Martin Blackwood. Sam only said they were similar ages and unrelated to the Magnus Institute so it can't be them can it? Celia may have thought of them from memory instead of "old documents" and since Sam got an email from Jon at least I can rule out the fact that he's completely gone. (I am VERY in denial)
BASIRA AND HELEN MENTIONED?!?!? We are slowly collecting more tma characters and I am very happy
DYHARD INTERACTION YIPPEEEE

Reddit in general is already toxic no matter how peaceful the app may seem. So many incels weirdos and bigots 💀 people obsessed going back and forth on every goddamn app just to worship idol yet what they're searching for is already independent and rely to nobody. I can relate so much on spiraling down on rabbit hole and thank god I have a courage to step back but got bullied by them if what they're preaching about limitless effortless then how can excessive doing this and that/techniques etc even exist.
https://www.tumblr.com/ko-existing/774135776804012032/check-out-this-vid-ko?source=share
There are many on reddit who talk about how they've been doing self inquiry for 2 years, 4 years, 7years, 11 years (posts i saw long time ago) and are still asking for advice on XYZ and How to reach a state of "enlightenment". Redditors don't understand what they're talking about. Their problem is they are chasing something they can never reach.
A lot of people on tumblr do too but Reddit is 10 x worse.
It's like someone wants to sweep a beach clean of sand and drink the ocean dry.
They have a picture in mind that they want to reach. They never will. 11 years become 15, 20, 25. 🤷🏻♀️ It has nothing to do with the actual AV 90% of the time or with No Concept.
I think I saw one (1) post that was good but everything else is useless and not worth wasting your time there.
As soon as you talk about the actual AV, they will burn you alive because their bubble of ideas they have of what it is bursts and is mistaken for Nihilism "nothing matters anyway" like many do here and they can't cope with that and can't comprehend it so, they attack those that speak about it until they leave the platform or delete their posts.
That's why you rarely or never see anything proper there but only heavily limited posts and methods that tell you how to physically touch the sky. 🤦🏻♀️

I've yet again descended into the rabbithole I'd playing all 3 dark souls games and then obsessively watching a ton of videos and reading a ton of Reddit threads about dark souls. And man, DS2 slander really pisses me off. DS2 is my overall favorite dark souls game because it's unique. Even if it has a lot of gameplay flaws, atleast they actually tried something new. DS3 basically just took Bloodborne combat, took all the cool parts like healing and damaging limbs and then put it into dark souls. Giving us infinite stamina and making combat more reaction based turned combat from the slow methodical combat of DS1 and DS2 into a generic hack-n-slash spam R1 and panicroll through 99% of the bosses deal. And I fucking hate that everyone just ate it up and signaled to Fromsoftware to lean into it even more in Elden Ring.
And while DS3 might be a better game in terms of gameplay, if only because it's just a much more modern game and DS2 really did fuck up with ADP and making combat animations too floay, in terms of lore it's literally just repeating the lore about the cycles form DS2 with a bunch of DS1 fanservice, it doesn't actually add anything new. You can play DS1, then DS2 with DLCs and then immediately jump in Painted World and Ringed City DLCs without playing base DS3 and you won't actually miss any major lore, it's insane how little new stuff base DS3 brings to the table. And the way they did references to DS1 is absolutely fanservice, Its actually wild how the B team without Miazaki actually stayed more true to dark souls storytelling then the fucking A team with Miazaki. DS2 actually had a ton of references to DS1 despite all the mouthbreathers on the internet saying DS2 basically only connected to the franchise through its name. It just did those references in the same way DS1 told it's story - through scraps of info hidden in item descriptions and throwaway dialogue lines from npcs. DS3 on the other hand just literally hits you over the head every 15 minutes with blatant DS1 references. For fucks sake, one of the first NPCs you meet in the game is the damn Andre.
Overall, DS3 is only saved by the DLCs. Without them it would have been just rehash of DS2s story with bloodbornified combat and a bunch of DS1 fanservice. Which makes for a great game, don't get me wrong, but it's a shame they didn't do something new and unique for the last game in the series. The DLCs saved the game for me, even if I'm kinda pissed they spent the whole game to retelling the lore from DS2 and then ended the whole series in a damn dlc.

What was your fav section on the lsat also any tips for someone studying rn
oh i love talking about this!!! i had to do rly well on the lsat to make up for my no bueno undergrad grades, and i was going through a bananas mental illness time so it felt extra hard but i managed to pull it off, so i feel like i can actually talk about this. sorry if any of this sounds like bragging but my lsat score was the first time i actually felt fairly sure i could pull off law school. this is also rly long sorry
ok unhelpful bc i think they don’t have them anymore but it was sooo satisfying when the logic games finally clicked. it took forever but i do love a good diagram. reading comprehension was tbh the easiest for me but you gotta balance the time with ensuring you read every single word in the piece (no scanning!).
but between reading comprehension and logical reasoning i was partial to logical reasoning practice bc it felt like training my brain in a different way. i did hate taking it though bc i am very bad at remembering time management strategies when the stress of the test sets in, but it worked out somehow
1) ok my number one suggestion is to not rush into taking it. and it actually is ok to do it twice. i was working full time while studying so it felt like it took a long time for it to click but it was super clear when it did — i started scoring like 10ish points higher on my practice tests pretty consistently. but if it isn’t clicking just wait. i started studying in like jan-ish and tried taking in july but it went. not particularly well. and i kinda knew it wouldn’t but i also really needed to get over my initial debilitating anxiety and experience it. and then i didn’t take it till november which felt really late (tbh if i were to do it again i would take it in october and hopefully save myself a lil waitlist grief) but my final score made up for it and led to big scholarship offers, incredibly. anyway tl;dr don’t rush into taking the test
2) grind it out!!! after your first practice test assessment just spend a ton of time grinding through, especially logical reasoning. once you start consistently noticing/resisting the logical reasoning traps is when i suggest starting to test your timing. timing is your enemy (or at least was for me) so make sure you don’t put off testing that
3) i had a few books but in the end the most helpful thing was khan academy (which i think is now merged with lsac?). pivoting from doing it on paper to doing it on the screen was big, and they have all the practice questions, so imo you don’t need much else. i did like the lsat trainer by mike kim as an intro though — i also tried the power score books but the gains were minimal compared to just doing questions imo
4) loveeee pomodoro method. i used uh tick tick to micromanage my study schedule which was helpful for goal setting but maybe set aside one day about 2 weeks in to figure out a system for you? once you figure out your flow. im assuming bc you wanna go to law school you like having Systems (common personality trait in law students)
5) said this above but testing myself on the computer helped a lottttt. for some reason it was rly hard to practice exclusively on paper january-july and then take a test on the computer idk
6) dont put too much pressure on yourself or feel like you gotta do what reddit or whoever says. like yeah you wanna do well but the way to do that is to do what works for you. only insane people post on reddit about test taking strategies. if you’re posting obsessively and desperately about how to score a 180 you are not a well adjusted person, and being a well adjusted person goes a long way in law school. don’t drive yourself bananas before you even get there. also this is hypocritical but the people who are like “i got a 179 and here’s how you can too!” are like those people who brag about their SAT score. they did not hack the test, they don’t know something special about the test, they can’t speak to everyone’s study methods.
this is all to say. this isn’t like “how to get a perfect score” (sorry) but kinda broader, and hopefully helps you stave off madness. also obviously you probably shouldn’t take everyone’s advice. too many cooks in the kitchen situation.
good luck!!!!!! rooting for you :)

Maria, Malenia, Dancer for the character opinion bingo!
Oh putting this under the cut because it will be long

Maria
God lady maria my beloved. Might actually be one of if not the favourite fromsoft character i could unironically talk hours on end about her and that is just with the vanilla lore she has and not all of my headcanons regarding her which at this point are so many i could write a book longer than the bible listing them down.
Design? Everything. Lore? Everything. Bossfight? Everything.
She has a very clear and coincise downward-spiral arc and yet is so deeply sympathetic, despite being a de-facto monster.
To me she was someone who desperately needed reassurance that yes, she was a good person, and yes, she was doing the right thing, until over and over again those reassurances were ripped off her hands and she had to face the hard truth of what she was doing. And she kept doing this over and over again until she couldnt handle it anymore and killed herself. In my mind maria just saw herself as a living walking failure whose greatest accomplishment would have been dying to prevent others from getting hurt.
I do find it wonderful that she managed to avoid the wave of misogynistic hate for being a complex female character who Kinda Sucked, but also this has created a wave of just as annoying fans that are the woobiefiers which god. Her crimes are what make her interesting! She doesnt need to be the token good teammate! She can suck too! Flattening a female character to make her more good and likeable is also misogynistic! But i have ranted enough about this on my blog wifiskcks
Only complaint about her tho is that they really, really could have done something more about the fact that she is a cainhurst woman (and thus being a possible candidate for great one surrogacy), and the fact that she worked closely with byrgenwerth because i find the whole angle interesting. Oh maria you want to escape from your people's way of entering in communion with the great ones so badly you turn to byrgenwerth's methods of ascension or something along the lines of that

Malenia
I remember me during 2022 getting in the reddit trenches defending her from misogynistic dudebros lol. If no one else is here malenia got me can she get an amen
I say "everyone else is wrong about them" but eeeh, it isnt really true, i do not think other's interpretations are wrong i just like to give her way more mental illnesses than the usual.
To me malenia is very... clingy. Quiet. Codependent. Her brain never quite literally recovered from the massive trauma that was rot and getting her limbs cut off + the horrific neglect she suffered. I have been playing with the idea she might have some sort of heavy dissociation issues and some sort of age regression.
I firmly reject anything about the promised consort radahn battle of aeonia post sote bullshit. I like girls who are loser cuckgirls but god. No. Not in this case lmao.
[Jokes aside i just thing it really really cheapened malenia's motivations and the whole battle's thematic resonance. The man who was obsessed with the past and thus stagnation fighting against the woman who had ontological stagnation forced onto herself and ends up literally rotting alive until nothing else remains. It was so good ugh]
Since the game never tells of we have killed her or not, i like to think she survived post canon and just had to do. An enormous amount of unpacking towards everything that was her life. Maybe she manages to live in peace, maybe she doesnt.
I also loveeee the whole narrative she has w the kindred of rot/millicent+sisters/gowry. I just find it tragic from either sides. The kindreds of rot never asked to exist, they were just born from the bloom and it is in their nature to cling what is essentially their mother, their god, just as malenia herself didn't want, never wanted to end up like this. She never wanted to be an object of worship a god or whatever. She never wanted to create creatures bound to the very cause of her suffering. They are both innocent in the whole situation and its so so deliciously tragic.
She is very rose bride coded in the way that many people that have to do with her do not see her as a person but just as a projection of what they want, and malenia herself doesnt really have any kind of desire other than just being miquella's blade, miquella's tool

Dancer of the boreal valley
Oh yes, the extremization of my love for female characters with really not much thought behind them aside from "they must suffer" lol.
I actually... didn't expect to like her as much as i did, not to full blorbofication, but the combination of me having just beaten her and me the day after immediately going to a school trip to sicily where i spent average six hours on a bus dojng nothing made it so that i could ruminate her enough in my head LOL.
Dancer to me is oooough. I headcanon her to being a very bitter and almost bitchy person. Very bad-victim in a way where she always powerscales her suffering regarding others to the point of being virtually isolated to the point of her exile and yet. Not really blame-able.
She was just very very traumatized and was actively being abused physically psychologically and sexually. She had no way out or escape from sulyvahn outside of death and she knows that well, and had more or less accepted that in either way he would have ended up killing her.
I also do not think she had any warm feelings towards vordt like at all bcs vordt didn't really lift a finger to help her in a concrete way. Not big acts but he wasn't even there for her emotionally and just bemoaned her as the abused princess he couldnt save and even got quite bitchy at her when she lashed out bcs it contradicted with the romanticized image he had of her. She's angry at him angry at gwyndolin for getting manipulated by sulyvahn angry at others for not being abused angry at gwynevere and rosaria for dipping and leaving her alone to suffer.
I wish she had more fans (and i understand why she hasnt because her story is uncomfortable. Tho i have seen people deny that dancer was an euphemism for sex slave which ????), but i also do think if she did i would be a persona non grata because i Do ship her with sulyvahn lol so i am kinda happy to let things how they are
Thanks for the ask!

Weird nerds who obsess about power scaling misunderstand the entire point of fiction. They even misunderstand the concept itself. It originated in DBZ, with power levels... but that was always a scam and a ruse and didn't make sense! Because that was never the point. The point of DBZ's whole "power level" thing was a rigged game, because Frieza was afraid of a species who defied his ability to rule. So he killed them all. He then created a system where he always came out on top. Do you get it? Do you see what I'm talking about? Power levels, power scaling, it's nonsense. It was a system that was always arbitrary, created by a tyrant who feared an uprising. So what does Goku do? Break the scale! Because it never mattered. The point is that tyrants lie and create systems where they always win.
So when these nerds get all hopped up on number sauce on here or on reddit, they fundamentally did not understand the whole point of the story they claim to love. The point is not "who's stronger," because the hero is there to prove that strength alone isn't enough. Why? Because heroes don't need force, or power, to win. They need something else. Teamwork, passion, intelligence, whatever the narrative needs. That isn't a plot hole, that's just how stories work! You see this in every story where there is a hero and a villain with overwhelming force. The hero can't win with brute strength. The hero never does. It's always with another method. Hell, the best example of this was Guardians of the Galaxy 1! Dance-off +teamwork!
This is why I love literary criticism/media criticism, because it forces you to examine how stories, characters, ideas interact with each other. A story isn't a story because of mashing together action figures. Spider-man is always only just strong enough to win that fight!
So please, can we end these stupid discussions about powerscaling and "who would win" bullshit? Because it never mattered to begin with. What matters is why a hero wins, not how strong they are on an arbitrary scale.
