Hey guys!! I just finished reading a really good book by my friend Kyra called The Parallel! If you like Sci Fi , psychic powers, and fights in random Midwestern fields, or you're looking for some really good DID* representation, I recommend it! There is no explicit queer rep but there's just not any focus on romance anyway.

(*I don't have DID and neither does Kyra to my knowledge, but from what I know, I personally think it was written incredibly well! If someone with DID could read it and give a review on the rep I'd love to hear it!)

Has anyone yet pointed out the parallels between Louis starving himself and giving Lestat the cold shoulder for 7 years and Louis becoming a drug addict who kills his sex partners with Armand cleaning up after him for years?

And how both of these times, where he essentially denies his partners love and affection as a form of punishment and self-punishment, culminate in a big fight, in which he verbally abuses his partners until they snap, getting them to punish him even further - Lestat by dropping him, Armand by leaving him with the untreated burns for days?

I will say imo if Livvy does truly die/lets go/whatever ends up happening in twp then I think everyone should be significantly more worried about Jace lol. if Livvy's fate is well and truly sealed by her death and nothing can change that then Jace's is just as sealed. borrowed time is borrowed time and death will always long for what was stolen. and he's a Lightwood. he's doomed.

i love how many people i've talked to who've just blocked sebastian's rape attempt from their mind, and who look at me agape when i bring it up. because that was me before my 2021 reread. and honestly i would not be surprised if it was a good portion of us at some point in time. and it makes sense. bc hello that was horrific and i don't need to he thinking about it. but it is kinda funny that shadowhunter fans will vividly remember jace wanting to do to clary what he should theoretically be protecting her from, and then forget sebastian trying to forcefully do to clary what he should definitely be protecting her from.

Something about the way Ty hadn’t seen Kit’s hands crushing in on themselves till one thought the bones would break like hearts because Ty was in pain, and the way Jean barely saw Jeremy’s startled look to his fierce rejection because he was years away, remembering the cause of some of his own. pain???
