Fandom Olds know this, but believing the statements of people trying to fuck with any fandom site just leads to bad faith drama and later looking silly.

Also, people can just go online and say shit. Anyone can claim to be behind it, and whoever gets the most twitter engagement will be the ones who gets listened to and they might not even know what an AO3 is.

There's a 500 error on my hub site and I can't do jack about it at the moment. That's solely the baliwick of Beloved, who is currently up to her elbows in Crunch Season at her work.

I've asked for the procedure to DIY but... Crunch Season means that her ability to get back to me is grossly impaired.

I can only beg your patience in this issue.

"so uh all of those new washable fabrics are leaching microplastics into our water, and the constant machine-washing wears garments out faster. they're also not really sturdy enough to be mended, so we keep having to throw them out and now the planet is covered in plastic fabric waste that will never break down. also it turns out that the new washable fabrics hold odor-causing bacteria VERY well. so could we get those barrier garments back please?"

"sorry babe linen now costs $100000/yard and since it's been so long without them, nobody knows how to adapt barrier garments to the current styles anyway"

My car lurches wildly into the parking lot and I abandon it, still running, at the curb, ignoring the guard who calls after me: “Hey! You can’t leave this here.”

I race into the hospital. A flock of bedraggled “get well soon” balloons bob wildly behind me.

I stop at the desk and startle the poor clerk there. “Where?!” I gasp.

I rush off before he can tell me. I know in my heart where my destination is.

As I near the end of the hall I am greeted by a whole crowd of anxious mourners and well-wishers, all bearing tokens of affection; flowers, cards, teddy bears. Our balloons join into one giant, grieving stormcloud.

“Any news?” I ask the nearest person. And they shake their head sadly.

“We can only wait now,” they say. And though we have never met before, we squeeze hands.

All of us hope for the swift recovery of our beloved AO3.
