Sasuke: *hugs Naruto, then calmly walks in the door and shuts it gently behind him* Itachi: Little bro! How was your -- Sasuke: *unleashes an unholy scream* Ahhhhhhhh!!!! Obito: Jesus Christ, kid! What's the matter?! Sasuke: RED ROSES! HE GAVE ME RED ROSES! Shisui: So? Sasuke: Are you an idiot?! RED roses means, "I want you, I DESIRE you"!! Obito: Oi, I think you're reading a little too much into it. Red roses are a very common flower to give someone on a date. They -- Sasuke, sinking to the floor and putting his hands in his head: Oh lord, I'm not ready for any of it! I'm not ready for such a strong commitment! I'm too young to get married! And kids? I can barely keep my goldfish alive! Fugaku, reading the paper, to Mikoto: Do you want to handle this, or should I? Mikoto, sipping tea: Let them deal with it. Itachi, crouching beside Sasuke: Oi, oi, calm down, kid. They're literally just flowers. Now I know Naruto is really impulsive with a lot of things, but I highly doubt that some measly flowers are an indication that he's trying to force a commitment out of you. Shisui: Itachi is right. So relax, take things slow. Obito: And stop trying to take my gimmick, kid. I'M the one who's supposed to get all worked up over things! Sasuke: M-maybe you're right, maybe I am just being dramatic ... *meanwhile, at Kakashi's apartment* Kakashi: Well, how did it go, kid? Naruto: Well, I was able to give him the flowers, and they were the color we talked about, but ... Naruto: *pulls a ring box out of his pocket* Naruto: I think I'm going to have to work up to giving him this.

Madara: God, what a pain in the ass …

Izuna, dressed as a princess: Quiet, big brother. You know Father said you had to do this.

Madara: I’m honestly surprised thats he let you out of the house wearing that …

Hashirama: I think he looks great! Doesn’t he, Tobirama?

Tobirama, dressed as a ghost: *mumbles something that sounds like “Yeah sure.”*

*the two younger ones go up to a house with a group of other kids, leaving Madara and Hashirama on the sidewalk*

Hashirama: Gotta say, Mads, for someone who claims to hate Halloween so much, you put on a great costume!

Madara: *looks down at himself; he’s wearing a plain white t-shirt that has a half dozen mini cereal boxes glued to it, with plastic knives sticking out of them. red paint is streaked across the shirt like splatters of blood, and across the top is written “Cereal Killer”*

Madara: Better than yours, anyway. What are you supposed to be? A giant turd?

Hashirama: No, you asshole! I’m a tree!

*the younger ones come back to them and they start walking to another house*

Madara: I guess lack of creativity runs in the Senju family, eh? This fool here just threw a white sheet over his head. 

Hashirama: Tobi doesn’t care about costumes or trick or treating … He just wanted to see Izuuuuna. *clasps his hands together and puckers his lips, making exaggerated kissing sounds* Isn’t that right, Tobi?

Tobirama, blushing beneath the sheet: Shut up, Hashi.

Hashirama, to Madara: All night long, it’s “Izuna is coming, right? What do you think Izuna will be wearing? Can you ask Madara what Izuna’s favorite candy is, so I can save all of the ones I get for him?”

Madara, laughing obnoxiously: S-stop Hashi! I’m gonna piss myself! And anyway you’re probably about to make the kid cry!

Hashirama: What? He knows I’m teasing him! Right, little brother?!

Hashirama: *goes to hug Tobirama, but when his arms close around him, Tobirama seems to disintegrate into a puddle and disappear into the ground*

Madara, startled: What the fuck?!

Hashirama, panicking: Oh my god oh my god! What —

*Izuna suddenly disappears in front of their eyes*

Madara: HOLY SHIT WHAT THE HELL?! What kind of voodoo is your brother working?!

Hashirama, in tears: I don’t know but we have to find them or our parents will kill us! 

Hashirama, running down the street yelling: Tobi!! Izuna!!!

Madara: Oi, wait for me!! *runs after him*

*when they’re gone, Tobirama and Izuna emerge from behind a tree, unscathed*

Izuna: Tobi … that was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen! What do you call that jutsu?!

Tobirama: I call it, “Scaring our jerk big brothers shitless no-jutsu.”

Izuna: Well, I love it! *timidly reaches out his hand* Want to finish trick or treating until they figure it out? I bet we can hit up the whole town before they find us!

Tobirama: *blushes and takes Izuna’s hand* Absolutely.

I always like to think of scenarios of Uchihas and Senjus from like. the warring clan era. getting transported to the present time (which in these scenarios is like a bit after shippuden time except I completely ignore canon and make my own stuff up) to live there permanently (time travel shenanigans that don’t change the time stream) just cause of all the misunderstandings that would happen due to their worldview from their time

Mainly I like to think about Naruto and Sasuke sparring in front of them because Sasuke wants to show off in front of his clan and Naruto is always down to spar, but like always with these two, they can’t stop themselves from going all out and the clans interfere thinking they’re actually trying to kill each other

And then Sasuke, because he always does this, does that thing where he puts his body in front of Naruto to protect him and won’t let his clan hurt him, and they’re all like “are they…together? is that good for us? like a political marriage thing?” because they can’t comprehend that Senju and Uchiha politics just straight up don’t exist anymore

Is that what would actually happen? Probably not! But I love the idea of them seeing Tsunade and Naruto and thinking of Naruto as like essentially heir to the Senju and Uzumaki clan, and some of them are like “should we get Sasuke and Naruto together to ensure peace between the clans?” and the other half is like “should we keep them away from each other so nothing happens (cause you know some of them would be suspicious of one of them) to ensure peace between our clans?”

Even when Sakura would hold Sarada in her lap, Sarada would always reach out to Sasuke if he was near and hold onto Sasuke’s finger. She wouldn’t let him go. As a baby she would always cry until both parents arrived to her side at night. She loved both of her parents equally even before her senses kicked in.

Mama was her first word

Papa was her second

She said mama in front of Sasuke. Sasuke’s face gleamed as he heard his child’s first word and called for his wife. Once Sakura came into the room and Sarada pointed at her father and said papa. Both parents were so excited and showered their baby with kisses as she repeated those two words giggling in between

I imagine the Uchiha have two big traditions. One weekly and one monthly. The first, is one where everyone would pray. Pray to their ancestors, to their living family and their loved ones, and to the people in the village regardless of who they are. They do this as a sign of respect to all of the people around them, and out of hope that the world will get better, and that they will be able to live in peace without being hated for simply being alive. They pray sitting on their knees, hands in their lap and their heads bowed. Candles are lit for their loved ones, lost and living, and for the ones they wish to protect.

The second is more of a group tradition. Every month the Uchiha would gather all together. Painting, singing, playing music and once again lighting candles. One for a god, for creating them and letting them live. Two for the sun and moon, for letting them thrive and allowing them to rest. A fourth for the clan, to bring good to them. And finally, candles for all of your loved ones. They celebrate living all night until all of the candles have burnt out. Children would sing, dance and paint with their friends and parents, and help light candles for their lost relatives. Instruments hand crafted by the Uchiha themselves are played, and play special songs written to celebrate and bring good fortune.

Another tradition is that everytime an Uchiha dies, they light a candle in their honour. Wishing them well and hope they find a good afterlife. They also light a candle for those severely injured and may not survive. Praying for their health.

These traditions died before Itachi was born. The Uchiha having lost hope, seeing no signs of change in the world they lived in or the people they lived with. Itachi and Sasuke never knew of their existence, only Obito has experienced these foreign feelings of peace and love within the clan.
