when the piece of media explores themes of humanity versus monstrosity. on one hand, it’s “how far can I go before I am just as monstrous as those I deem my enemies? the further i go the more certain i am that i’ve crossed a line. am I even human anymore?” and on the other hand it’s “was the monster always a monster? what makes it evil, what makes it inhuman? what has it done that i fear it?”

in both cases it is “i am looking at the creature I am fighting and i see a mirror of myself. was i always this way? was it always this way?”

Arthur Bennett was chemically made in a lab for me to go insane over I think. he’s got a guilt only an older sibling could have and a drive for vengeance that is half driven by his own self hatred. yet still he strives for peace. he’s desperate to cling to any humanity, any hope. he’s aware he’s fallible. it doesn’t save him

#he’s also a fuckin vampire sniper dude #tell me that’s not the hottest thing you’ve ever seen. I’ll wait #ok but fr #it’s that he’s so desperate and so angry and he wants so desperately to bring about peace but he just fails #he becomes so unrecognizable at the end and it’s so tragic bc you can see every moment he could have chosen different. but he doesn’t #he’s self aware of his failings and that’s part of his failings ironically enough #and that combo of older sibling guilt and survivor guilt and I’ve done terrible things guilt is fuckin unreal #he wants to be human and live in the sun and have this world of peace. but it’s a future he’d burn down for the twins without question #there’s no way he should have made it out of that arena. he’s always ready to sacrifice himself for the twins (for his younger siblings) bu #he just always survives. that seems to be his curse. so now he has to live with himself. now he has to face a future and try to get better #or fall further down. and I’m obsessed with him because as much as he could get better he really could just get so much worse #he knows he has the monster inside of him. he knows what to avoid. he knows what he could have become. and still he becomes it #if you saw this on twt hi lol #jrwi #jrwi the suckening #the suckening #the suckening spoilers #jrwi spoilers #arthur bennett #z speaks

I've got news! First of all, happy new year 2014 ,,☺️ Second of all, I am rebranding my MSM AU, Loodvigg's Day at Disneyland. I lost motivation to write it, but l've somehow grown deeply attached to it. So I turned AU Loodvigg into an OC... erm hi Viggy sorry you're a furry now

They're going to be an important character in an OC story I'm planning to develop! I'm basically gonna implant the story I had for LDaD into this character and his own backstory. And I've got a lot planned for this fella... By the way, their name is Guillaz!

Ok so that's it that's the announcement. Uh. I won't go more into detail for now but yeah! I might post the art concepts I had for LDaD in an art dump at some point.

BUT yeah that’s more or less the entire plot ☺️☺️☺️😊🙏#My Singing Monsters

the chapter songs in Alan Wake 2,, flawless

#they deserve more love and discussion #saying this while also not knowing what to say other than they’re so fucking good #alan wake 2 #i think it’s partially because poets of the fall’s tracks are iconic so of course they’re in the spotlight (as deserved)#but also the CHAPTER SONGS. them being made for a given chatacter(s) with the help of Sam lakes poetry #the changes with ‘this road’ by Poe with every Alan chapter. becoming more distorted and revealing lyrics and the spiral #the scratch song being 1) hilarious and 2) similar to Zane’s poetry in the aw1 arg #the emotion in superhero when saga feels lost at the story making it so Logan was gone #the lines of her feeling like a ghost in this story forming around her.. how she feels guilty and absent for both what the story’s doing #and being away from Logan because of her job. ashdhhhhjhh my heart #AND. follow you into the dark HAS to be alice. which kills me because at for at I thought of Alan #but no. Alice jumped in the dark place after him. it’s so !!!!!!!!!!!#the rabbit hole line. Alice spiraling deeper and deeper into a dream—into wonderland #the Lost at Sea one is also good. intrigues me. the Bowie and Lynch references are blatantly aw2 Zane #but it’s so similar to diver Zane and the ‘originals’ death. being lost in the dark place with illusions of escape #and losing any sense of identity. whether he’s real at all or the monster of this sea or just a lost soul.#the soft and calm vocals / instrumental really makes the whole thing #NEED to stop typing more tags because this is a Lot. however.#‘no one left to love’ is also a phenomenal song and one of my favorites from the album. GORGEOUS vocals and how it all flows together.#such a powerful and beautiful way to end a chapter #anyway that’s all I had to say :)#god. I’ve started to watch a few playthroughs of the game and 90% of people have skipped the chapter songs and every time im #that’s fair but my brain and soul might implode if I don’t see anyone else talking about how good these songs are
