Index: Commander got hurt two days ago. They were chasing two suspects in a speeder in high speed, and since our speeders are... not always in tip-top shape, the door Commander was leaning on opened by itself
Index: He went hurling out pretty fast, and, by Corporal Brass's description, did "more volts than the trapetze artist that got stuck in their own tigthrope we had to go and rescue last month"
Index: Anyway, Commander proceeds to get up, run after the speeder, take it down and apprehend both suspects. He said his arm was just a bit sore, and he seemed coherent, so they let him slip out from a healthcheck. Commander Thorn brought him in the next morning because he had said something about his 'neck hurting' before he fell asleep
Index: Turns out that Commander had completely shattered his collarbone and proceeded to just...ignore it? I need to check his adrenalin levels... *muttering*
Index: Anyway, I knit the bone back to its original shape, but left it in a sling, for at least a week, so he can take a break from fieldwork at least. And he did, I swear! And I only gave him some mild painkillers. Mild.
Index: So I am not really sure how this happened
(Bullet, standing at the bottom of a very high transmission tower: Commander! What the kriff are you doing?!
Fox, not in full armor and on top of the tower, his arm still in a sling: Look, Bullet, there was-
Bullet, losing his mind: I don't care why you are up there! HOW DID YOU GET UP THERE??!)
Thire, just back from an escort mission:

pjo: is not fully accurate to the greek myths or portrayal of the gods, doesn't need to be since it's just a nice introduction to greek mythos but not seeking to be an educational book that people should be referencing in their essays, the only book(s) that could be considered educational and factual would be the greek myths/greek heroes books that percy narrates, but if you want to add something to pjo through fanon wikipedia and the theoi website as a check is probably fine, no one is expecting every fan of the pjoverse to have a PhD in ancient history/religion/mythos
me regardless: i need to check my hundreds of greek/roman mythos books to factcheck this thing i came across on wikipedia and is relevant to this ask just to make sure i'm not messing up a history/mythos thing even though this is related to pjo, where it doesn't really matter so why am i freaking out about it 🤷♂️

Poll adventure (paventure? lol) Day 8: !!NOTE: this is different from the past polls - rather than choosing a story action, you're picking supplies to craft a little makeshift boat (EX: wood will be the main platform, so there should likely be the most of it, however, if there were 100% votes for branches and 0% votes for rope, then it'd just be a pile of wood held together by nothing - keep them balanced reasonably, etc.))
(✦ see past poll results + further information HERE (link) ✦)
The winning option of yesterday's poll was that the adventurer should get around the barrier by crafting a little boat to take a river detour….
~
Finally crawling out of his hiding spot in the brambles, he meticulously brushes the leaves from his clothes and composes himself, now fully focused on his generic traveler's map of the area... After checking it about 500 times just to make sure he isn't confused, he determines that going down the nearby river would likely still get him where he's trying to go, and hopefully be much less treacherous than wandering through haunted forests or confronting the stern gaze of the barrier guards..
It only takes about 10 minutes of following a narrower rocky path off the main road to reach a nice shaded spot of land next to a small river. He kneels in the grass, eagerly rummaging through his backpack for supplies, in addition to whatever he can scavenge from the edge of the woods. The rush of excitement slowly dissipates however, once he realizes that he.. actually.. might not know how to make a raft as well as he thought... Surely it's quite straightforward, no? Just.. make it look like it does in picture books?? There are no rules, as long as it floats, it works! Probably anyone could build one on intuition alone! ... maybe...???
.. Once again sinking into a cloud of anxiety, he slumps over, staring at the pile of materials with teary eyes, doubtful what to even do next.... How should he build the raft? Help him by using the poll to choose the appropriate amounts of materials (determined by final % of votes in that category)!

21 please :) also, <333333 hi
21. Mass Healing Word
"As you call out words of restoration, up to six creatures of your choice that you can see within range regain hit points equal to 1d4 + your spellcasting ability modifier. This spell has no effect on undead or constructs."
It looks a whole lot like the sky - the moon - is crying. A single stream of heavy tears. Or maybe it’s a scar, like her own?
Pike can’t really rest easy. She shouldn’t, anyways, because they all know something is up. But she can at least focus, knowing Grog and Scanlan are with the kids. Not that they’re that little, anymore - but everyone looks small, she thinks, beneath the despondent red sky.
She’s half expecting something to happen, because little this big happens anymore without involving Vox Machina.
So she steps back to make room when something in the world spits people out, mace at the ready - but oh, they’re familiar.
Half of Bell’s Hells tumble out. Not the faun, which is a little sad, and with the undead, which is a little worrisome -
But the bigger deal is that Keyleth drops with them, and for a terrible moment Pike is almost sure that’s her friend’s body before she starts to pry herself from the ground.
They all look like absolute wrecks. But Keyleth worst of all. Physically, of course, but a certain kind of fucked up Pike hasn’t seen in -
“What happened?” Pike doesn’t ask it - she demands an answer, firm. Diagnostics. Where does it hurt? Who hurt you?
The armor’s a blessing - it means she can skid on her knees into the center of the group, make sure they’re all starting to move, and touch her holy symbol to start casting. Mass Cure Wounds? Nah, it’s only Keyleth who needs that much, so she draws her thumb in a circle instead of a line and murmurs mercy as her Mass Healing Word.
“Oh, you know,” the genasi - Ashton? - groans. “The end of the world.”
She’s going to say something reassuring. Like ‘oh, don’t be silly, it’s never really the end of the world so long as we can still save it.’ Or maybe something cool, like ‘I’ve seen worse!’ - the sort that would get her kids to snort and protest that no, Mom, this really is the worst.
But Pike’s spell flickers. It still listens - it still gives as good as it’s got, the gold light something milky in light of Ruidus’ fury. Weakly, though. Struggling, in ways her magic hasn’t since she was a little girl.
Sarenrae’s likeness feels cold, as any necklace should beneath gauntlets - but it’s never been cool, before.
Maybe this is it.
[Send me a spell and I'll write a ficlet/snippet to go with it!]
