can't believe a show based on a videogame (usually games adaptations are notoriously bad, which isn't the case here tho) gave me the beauty and the beast/twisted mirrors/enemies to traveling companions/ruthless antihero+optmistic but still badass heroine who takes none of his shit/age gap but make it sexy dynamic of my dreams. as much as i love maximus and i think he deserves the best writing ever because 1. he's a clever deconstruction of the aspiring Knight bro who's actually a bit of a loser and, as much as lucy, sees the world in black&white at first and then doesn't get what he thought he wanted but what he needs (or at least i hope he'll eventually get it), and 2. he's a cutie and i want an epic love story for him too, it's very funny how they tried to give us a puppy kind of romance and the tumblr girlies still fixated on the "toxic ~she bites his finger off and he cuts hers off and sews it on his hand in what we'll pretend it's a symbolic marriage rings exchange or whatever~ asshole who used to be a nice guy/good girl™ with a lot of spunk and hidden anger but unshakeable morals" kind of relationship.

if they met each other in elementary school steve would be like you know i have a horse and robin would look up from the dogshit coloured pencil drawing she was making and would be like this is a PEGASUS -_- and steve would panic and be like i know. i own one of those too. and robin would be like no you fucking don't because she was one of those little kids that swore and steve's eyes would get huge and he'd be like oh my freak she said the f word but on the outside he'd be like YES I DO i can SHOW YOU i have to brush her every day or my mom gets mad at me her name is rosie and robin's like ugh why is this dork even talking to me and would look him up and down and realise they both have bandaids on their knees but his is pink and hers is blue and to her that is a +1 point in his favour plus she secretly absolutely cannot miss the chance of this being real because she knows pegasuses obviously exist but why would STEVE HARRINGTON have one that's so not true

and she decides that like okay fine steve harrington's house gives out full sized hershey's every halloween and he always has this huge pack of pencils like the real fancy ones with the cool colours like silver and and gold and 4 shades of pink and he lets everyone borrow them and doesn't even get mad when kids shove them into their own bags so maybe he does own a pegasus but he TOTALLY wouldn't love her or anything he doesn't deserve her at all but robin really really needs to see it and make it love HER so it runs away and lives with her instead because she has a HUGE backyard okay it always takes her dad ages to rake up all the leaves and she goes well then prove it and steve is like :D okay come by my house after school !!!! and robin's like i can't i have swim lessons and steve's like it's fine i have a pool and this makes sense to their child logic and she's like fine tell your mom to call my mom and steve's like okay and then he walks away really quickly to go have a panic attack in the boys bathroom because he was lying from the beginning and needs to figure out a way to dress rosie up so that robin will believe that a pegasus has been magically transformed into a senile golden retriever. and robin continues colouring in her dogshit horse with wings with a blue pencil that was carefully labelled "s.h."

I love the idea of Irwin "animatedly" doing anything. Somehow I never picture the abrasive, ascetic, brawler colonists as very "animated" characters, but maybe he's just trying to make the lesson engaging for the little guy. I bet Irwin is a great teacher.

Also, yeah, we got a dinosaur. His randomly generated name is Swampy. I have not had the courage to attempt drawing him yet. Dinosaurs are awesome but also very tricky to draw.

Irwin and Andy continued to hang out for a little while, playing with axes as every reasonable adult looking after a three-year-old would do.

But, alas, while teaching the child about mathematics and biology and tree-felling, it appears Irwin's abrasive trait has also been noticed. Kids do learn from example, but I guess nobody told Irwin that.

Including Kaya in any sort of Usopp ship is just peak I gotta say. Personally also a fan of Usopp writing her all the time and them conversing over letter and him just more and more opening up to her about also crushing on Sanji and god, yeah they talked about it , about being open, about not being monogamous, but it’s always so easy in theory and Usopp completly understands if she doesn’t feel like this anymore but he at least thinks Sanji deserves to know, but he loves Kaya so much so he wants to set the record straight with her first…

And then he finally gets an answer back from her and it’s just a “GO FOR IT!” Written in gigantic letters across the entire page with her even including a few hearts and an adorable doodle of herself giving a thumbs up in the corner. Usopp almost dies from love because “My girlfriend is so cool!” But also “I need to gather my nerves and ask Sanji out on a date this instant I will not dissapoint you Kaya I will go for it!!”

this is so, so sweet,,, my heart is melting. see? it's gone. i'm completely devastated. that's so,,, cute,, and so real,,

the thing with kaya and usopp is that they're best friends first, and a couple second. like, of course they love each other romantically but the first thing kaya does when usopp tells her about sanji is to be the biggest supporter in the whole world. she would go CRAZY with this information and tease usopp with it and tell him constantly about how he needs to confess asap!!! she's all like: "dear, you're the sweetest man on this earth how the hell could he reject you?! and besides, to me, he looks like he's very... very interested in you too."

as a person who has been in a poly relationship like, twice (didn't really work because turns out i was demiromantic. and a lesbian. and tbh my life is a mess. don't you ever take advice from me) i can confirm that this is exactly how it would go:

usopp: are you sure you don't mind? i really do i like sanji, but i want you to be comfortable with this- kaya: babe, we're like seas apart and you've been away for years. we talked about this before you sailed. i honestly thought you and sanji were already dating. usopp: i am kind of confused right now bc you said this with a cute voice but i feel like i'm being judged kaya: GO CONFESS!!! I DON'T MIND!!! plus, i like your navigator usopp: AWESOME!! I'M GONNA GO- wait what

honestly, bold of you to assume pirates are monogamous, usopp.

not to mention that he would send her letters constantly about it. like. pages and pages of letters asking her how she's doing and replying to what she previously has told him, to then tell her how much he misses her and wants to see her again!! and then there are like, pages and pages of usopp going into a spiral of homosexuality. going insane. he's so down bad it hurts to watch. and kaya reads all of that and has to deal with her anxious long-distance boyfriend trying to remind him that sanji is most definitely into him too.

usopp would be so, so careful with this, too. because what if sanji finds these letters???? he would instantly die.

also, i love this whole poly thing because i can totally see sanuso dating and usopp still talking about kaya to sanji like, unconsciously. because he loves her very much. and he instantly regrets it because what if it makes sanji feel bad??? but then sanji is just like, looking at him with a love-sick expression and enjoying every second of this and saying he really, really wants to meet kaya.

nami teases usopp a lot because he definitely has a type. and he doesn't really get it until one day the sunlight shines perfectly on sanji, and he smiles, and usopp just realizes kaya and him are more alike than he thought. he's so embarrassed.

and idk i find this whole thing so endearing because no matter who you ship with usopp, if kaya isn't there too i don't want it!!!! she's so supportive and cute and loves usopp so so so much <333
