Students: Exciting news is on the horizon! Something you've been anticipating is about to unfold. If you've been looking forward to traveling internationally, an opportunity is coming your way soon.
Looking for a job: A significant transformation in your career is on the horizon, arriving sooner than you might think. You’re not just landing any job; this opportunity could be your dream role, bringing you both emotional and spiritual fulfillment.
Already employed: Past experiences may still be influencing your emotions, impacting your productivity and effectiveness in your current role. You might have fond memories of a previous job or workplace that provided you with emotional fulfillment, which your current position lacks, leading to a sense of imbalance. It's important to work on letting go of those past feelings and the emotional weight they bring. By shifting your focus to your current job with a positive and enthusiastic mindset, you can foster a more rewarding experience and cultivate better energy for yourself.
Doing a business: It’s possible that emotional or spiritual barriers are hindering your business from thriving and achieving its full potential. Letting go of any negative attachments related to your business can lead to significant progress. Trust your instincts and focus on your passions rather than solely pursuing financial gain; when you align with your true aspirations, financial success will naturally follow.

Additionally, distractions may be diverting your attention from your studies. Consider working on enhancing your focus and concentration and try to eliminate anything that hinders your progress.
Looking for a job: You may be experiencing various internal struggles that are hindering your job search. It's important to reflect on your subconscious thoughts. How do you feel internally at this moment? It's possible that you are unintentionally holding yourself back from employment because deep down, you may doubt your ability to secure a job.
Already employed: Whether you began your journey as a trainee, acquired new skills, or have years of experience in this role, positive changes are on the horizon. Anticipate exciting news, such as a promotion or advancement, and look forward to improved financial rewards from this job opportunity, new project, or fresh start.
Doing a business: You are spiritually aligned with your business and possess strong business acumen. Anticipate increased earnings or the financial stability and security you have been seeking.

Students: Your fears are holding you back and causing creative obstacles. Feed your mind with uplifting thoughts. If you're contemplating the ideal career for yourself, consider fields that embrace beauty, art, creativity, fashion, design, botany, or anything connected to plants, food, or spirituality. Roles that allow you to work from home or involve nurturing and empathy towards others would be particularly fitting for you.
Looking for a job: It can be disheartening to see job opportunities slip away or to feel like none are coming your way. Instead of dwelling on what hasn't worked out, try to cultivate a hopeful mindset about the possibilities ahead. There is a job opportunity on the horizon that resonates deeply with your heart and soul, but it's important to remain emotionally receptive to welcome it into your life. Remember, concentrating on what you’ve lost may only attract more of the same. Redirect your attention towards the potential that lies ahead.
Already employed: Embracing a more emotionally mature, calm, and patient demeanor at work can enhance your image as a compassionate leader. This approach fosters diplomacy and peace, ultimately strengthening your relationships with both your boss and colleagues.
Doing a business: It's understandable that you might be dealing with a tough conclusion or setback in your business lately. Instead of dwelling on this moment, consider it an opportunity to reassess your goals and envision the future direction of your business. By maintaining a long-term perspective and investing time in thoughtful planning now, you can pave the way for a brighter tomorrow which is on its way to you.

Tips: Studying at Home
Tumblr media
Adjust your learning
The first thing to acknowledge is that an online education demands a different style of learning as opposed to the traditional classroom environment.
You should be aware that you will need to adjust your learning style to ensure you get the most out of any online learning experience by doing things such as:
Fully commit yourself to join in with digital discussions so you are still actively learning and developing key skills such as debating and listening.
Be prepared to try new tech - with new online learning platforms and video calling functions, prepare to become adaptable and open to trying new technologies.
Collaborate with others - whether that’s over instant messenger outside of class/tutoring time, or with online discussions - get involved and you’ll make the most out of your learning experience.
Be self-disciplined - You will need to ensure that you’re ahead with the class work, pre-reading course materials where you can and ensuring excellent time management to prevent missing classes. All of this will help you to get the most out of your online learning.
Clear Distractions
When setting up your home study and/or work space, make sure there is nothing in the background that may distract you or your classmates/co-workers.
That includes putting your phone in a separate room or turning it off completely to avoid taking your attention during your online learning.
It’s important to note that you may also need to move your work space throughout the day - perhaps you may need to move as sunlight comes through your window to avoid screen glare.
So have a think about this before you are forced to move and re-position halfway through a learning session.
Use headphones and a microphone (where possible)
If you have them, make sure you use headphones and a microphone so you can clearly hear your tutor/classmates, as well as deliver clean and clear audio for easy flow of communication.
Even if you don’t have access to this, most laptops do have a reasonably high-spec audio and microphone set already built into them, however having a specific kit will always elevate your sound and audio quality.
Make sure your camera is stable
Again, to help avoid distractions during your online learning, make sure your laptop or webcam is sturdy and pointing ahead to avoid any strange angles.
Also, don’t sit too close to your camera either as the audio could muffle if you are sitting close to the microphone on your device.
Prevent interruptions
We’ve all seen that BBC News video interview - and we know you certainly don’t want to have the same happen to you.
To avoid this, make sure anyone you live with is aware that you will be doing some online learning from home and to ask them to leave you alone to concentrate.
If you can, close a door and stick a sign on the outside of it, making it clear that you cannot be disturbed.
Pre-prepare resources
If you have work that you want to share with your tutor or other students during a video lesson, make sure you have them ready and waiting on your desktop with clear file names, and are ideally already open and waiting before you start.
This will avoid time-wasting if you need to hunt around your downloads folder and browser tabs.
Strong Wi-Fi connection
Before joining an online session, make sure your Wi-Fi session is working and up to scratch.
The website; Speed Test will help you to see what sort of internet speeds you’re currently getting, and whether they will be strong enough to support video calls.
There are a few obvious steps too to try and consider to improve your Wi-Fi strength, such as putting your internet box up high on a sideboard, making sure nothing is covering it, and setting up your work space close to where the box is.
If you do have a poor Wi-Fi connection, you may struggle to host a video call, so it’s worth considering if there’s any other locations you could use for your learning session - perhaps a friend or relative’s home?
Pre-read material
If possible, review any resources and material that you’ll be studying before your online learning session.
This will give you the chance to prepare for any discussions, have questions ready to ask about subject matter that you haven’t quite fully understood, as well as help the new knowledge to be absorbed ever so slightly easier.

❥﹒♡﹒☕﹒ 𝗽𝗿𝗼 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮'𝘀
having good grades doesn't necessarily mean you're smart, a test or exam can't always determine someone's intelligence, but it's academic validation we crave, right? so here are some tips thanks to which you will get straight a's.
𝟭. understand what the professor wants ( 🪼 )
learning the entire book by heart is tiring and basically useless. we take our education seriously, but it's impossible to know everything about everything, so inevitably there will be topics we can gloss over. check old tests, listen to the teacher during the lecture, talk to students who have already attended the course and passed the exam. understand which aspects your professor particularly cares about and concentrate on those, your exam will certainly go well.
𝟮. strengthen your memorization ( 🦋 )
very often the amount of things to study is just too much and, even though you spend all day in the library rereading the topics again and again, you feel that it is not enough. you get confused, you forget steps, you get lost in the labyrinth of the subject. investing in understanding your form of memorization will benefit you in the long run. identify your type of memory (spatial, photographic, echoic, etc.) and focus on how to improve it. having a good memory will make your studying for the exam much faster and easier.
𝟯. pay attention in class ( 🫧 )
attend all lectures and take notes. much of your studying comes from your professor's lecture. underline the important things in your textbook, carefully follow their speech and - if there are any - their powerpoint slides, writing only the things that the teacher adds and which are not written either in the book or in the extra material, if necessary, record the lesson so you can listen to it again at a later time.
𝟰. organize your notes the same day ( 🧃 )
when i take notes in class i write badly and quickly to keep up with the teacher, shortening words or omitting passages.  by reorganizing your notes that same evening (at most the next day, if you really don't have time) you can revise your work when the lesson is still fresh in your mind; if you wait too long, you will forget most of the things and you will find yourself staring blankly at pages of notes which, at that point, will seem more like hieroglyphics to you than anything else.
𝟱. use ai responsibly ( 🪴 )
artificial intelligence is everywhere nowadays and why not use it to our advantage? of course i'm not suggesting that you let an ai take care of all your tests and essays, it wouldn't make sense, however very often it helped me make a list of key points to develop in a research paper, or gave me excellent ideas and insights for projects. they can also be used to create flashcards, summarize and simplify articles, or create practice tests based on the material you will have to study.
𝟲. delve deeper into your “whys” ( 🌾 )
sometimes when i study i stare into space and wonder why i am studying something that seems completely irrelevant to my path. i'm sure it happens to you too, don't ignore this feeling. don't be afraid to explore themes and topics that aren't clear to you, if two statements seem contradictory ask yourself why, if you don't understand some passages, don't be afraid to ask a question. we study for ourselves, before studying to graduate, to work. there is no shame in not understanding, your intelligence lies in striving to clarify what seems obscure.

Whispers In The Dark
Candlelight danced across your skin as you flexed your hand, twirling the quill between your fingers. You’d been taking notes for what felt like hours, your mentor watching carefully as you concentrated on the latest chapter in her book of spells.
As it turns out, becoming a witch was more work than most people would think. You were slightly surprised when your mentor had dropped a hefty book on the table in front of you, raising a single eyebrow in challenge as you looked at her with wide eyes. That had been months ago, and your magic was steadily improving every day. Luckily, you had one of the best mentors your small coven could offer.
Turning your head slightly, you tried not to pout as you met dark blue eyes. As if sensing your sudden lack of concentration, Agatha set a bookmark between the pages of the novel she’d been lightly skimming, before turning her body fully towards you. The sudden adjustment had her knee pressing against your outer thigh, and you felt the last tendrils of concentration slip from your mind as heat spread through your body.
“I can’t focus anymore.” You said, careful to not let a whine into your words. Agatha raised an eyebrow, and you clenched your legs together as you broke eye contact, a small but noticeable blush rising to your cheeks.
Agatha smirked. Of course she knew about your little crush on her, and had used that knowledge to her advantage many times. Whenever you acted up, all she had to do was raise an eyebrow or sternly give you an order, before you snapped back into your submissive personality.
That being said, she wasn’t completely blind to her own feelings towards you. Even now, as her eyes traced your flushed cheeks and soft hair, she felt her own core start to heat up. Letting out a small huff, she pulled her chair closer to you.
Looking up at the sound of a chair moving, you blinked when Agatha’s body heat suddenly pressed against you. Pressing your lips together, you calmed your racing heartbeat as you watched your mentor out of the corner of your eye. She reached for your book, flipping a few pages as she searched for the end of your current chapter, and the sensation of her arm brushing against yours sent your mind scrambling.
A firm leg pressed against yours as Agatha fully pulled her chair up next to you, the heat shooting straight to your core. Leaning in for a closer look, Agatha counted the pages you had left before turning her face towards yours.
Your eyes shot up from where they’d been staring at her lips, and you prayed to the gods that your mentor hadn’t noticed. You really didn’t want to change mentors, Agatha was the most knowledgeable witch you’d met, and it would be a shame to lose her. Plus, you might get stuck with someone old and ugly, and you shuddered at the thought.
Smiling slightly, Agatha tapped her fingers against your book, drawing your eyes towards it. Right before you looked away, you caught her darkened blue eyes glancing down at your lips, and a small tendril of hope twisted through you.
“Three more pages, hon.” She husked, and you blinked rapidly. Taking a solidifying breath, you pressed the tip of your quill back on your parchment, willing the words on the page to stop swimming as you read.
A hand was placed on your knee, and you froze. A small huff of laughter sounded from the woman beside you, her breath caressing your ear from the lack of distance between you. Ink splattered on your parchment, and you quickly jerked your quill off the parchment from where you’d pressed the tip too hard.
Agatha laughed louder, waving the mess away with a flick of her fingers. You glared at her, before your attention was stolen by the purple wisps dancing around your parchment. She tilted her head, eyes roaming your face as you stared at the page in front of you. “Something distracting you?”
You turned towards her, the words slipping out before you could stop them. “Someone more like.”
Blue eyes flashed, and you ducked your head in embarrassment. The hand on your knee squeezed slightly, and when you glanced at Agatha, you were surprised to see a small but genuine smile gracing her lips. She leans in, her eyes deliberately glancing down at your lips, “Want to play a little game?”
You felt all the blood in your face rush down to your core, and after you watched Agatha’s pupils dilate as her gaze lingered on your parted lips, you felt a spark of realization travel through you. Agatha’s feelings for you were the exact same ones you held for her, and you felt excitement rush through your body.
Fighting to keep a giddy smile off your face, you shyly ask, “What kind of game?”
Agatha’s face lights up, a predatory look overtaking her striking features as her eyes bore into yours. She scoots her chair impossibly closer, the heat of her body sending a comfortable wave of arousal through you. “If you can finish the chapter without making a sound, I’ll give you a reward.”
The words are whispered in your ear, and you shiver as a trail of goosebumps erupts down your spine. You nod, turning back to the page with renewed vigor as Agatha’s hand squeezes your knee slightly. Turning the page, you ready your quill as you focus on the words in front of you.
The hand on your knee slips under your skirts, the warmth of skin-to-skin contact shooting directly towards the apex of your thighs. It feels as though all of the warmth in your body has focused on that single point of contact, and you shiver when you feel Agatha’s eyes watching your reaction.
“Just say the word, sweetheart, and I’ll stop.” The words ring in your ear, swimming around your head as you feel Agatha’s hand slowly creep up your thigh. You nod, biting your lip as you attempt to focus on the last few paragraphs.
A large breath is sucked in beside you, and you turn your head curiously towards your mentor. Agatha’s blue eyes have darkened so severely that her pupils take over her irises, leaving a black abyss that’s staring directly at your lower lip. You worry it between your teeth, and smile at Agatha’s responding growl.
“Is this normal?” You ask, your eyes wide as you clench your thigh beneath her grip.
Agatha nods, a sugary sweet smile on her plump lips as she moves her hand ever-so-slightly up your thigh. “Of course hon, every mentor has to reward their student somehow. This is a rite of passage for a pretty young witch like you.”
Nodding, you accept her answer. It makes sense, Agatha always did take such good care of you. Her hands were almost constantly on your body, whether that be gripping your wrists when you attempted to cast a spell for the first time, or simply her hands around your waist as you moved around the basement drawing runes. You bite your lip again, turning back towards your book.
Nails dig into the soft flesh of your inner thigh, and your lips part involuntarily at the action. Agatha’s eyes remain locked on your lips as her other hand taps on the page in front of you. “Keep reading, hon. Don’t you want your reward?”
You jolt, remembering the game you’re playing. Without answering, you blink rapidly and refocus your attention. The hand on your thigh continues to slowly creep towards your unbearably wet center as you read, and by the time you reach the last paragraph you’re pretty sure Agatha can feel the heat of your core radiating from your underwear. You’re surprised that you managed to keep quiet, having swallowed a few moans when Agatha’s short nails scratched deliciously over your skin. The anticipation was killing you, and now that you only had a few sentences left, you were practically vibrating with excitement.
You scratched out a hasty sentence, your quill flying over the parchment as Agatha’s hand moved mere centimeters away from your embarrassingly wet underwear. Furiously stabbing a period at the end of your sentence, you set your quill down and looked over at your mentor with bright eyes.
Peering over your shoulder, Agatha skimmed your notes as you shut the heavy book in front of you. Your hands nervously twisted on the table, and you willed your hips to stay still when you involuntarily rolled them towards Agatha’s advancing fingers. After a few long moments, Agatha finished reading and turned to you with a proud look in her eyes.
“Very good, my dear, you’re getting better every day.” The words were murmured, and rushed straight to your pulsing core. You smiled, heart soaring at the praise, before gasping as Agatha’s fingers lightly stroked over your drenched underwear.
Blinking owlishly up at her, you asked, “Can I make noise now?”
Your soft voice had Agatha ready to pounce and rip the modest clothes you always wore off of your body. She refrained, instead smiling toothily and moving forward until her face was inches from yours. You glanced down at her lips, your hands stilling as you felt her hot breath fan across your cheeks. “You can be as loud as you want sweetheart.”
Blue eyes glanced down at your lips, and you leaned in, your lips just barely brushing hers as you whispered, “Am I doing this right?”
Growling almost animalistically, Agatha surged forward as her lips locked with yours. She felt your hesitant hands around her waist, and she moaned into your mouth at the touch. Taking care to not scare you off, she nibbled at your lower lip before sucking it fully into her mouth.
Surprised, you felt your hands clench around Agatha’s waist as she licked and sucked every inch of your lips. One of your hands rose, moving out of pure instinct as it buried itself in Agatha’s wild curls and pulled her closer.
Both you and Agatha moaned as your chests pressed together, and your mentor broke the kiss to stare at you with lidded eyes. Her voice was low and smoky as she pulled you onto her lap. “I’ve been waiting for ages to have you like this. To touch you like this.”
Settling yourself on her lap, you grabbed her wrist as her fingers danced along the waistband of your underwear. Pleading with your eyes, you saw her eyes soften as she leaned in, gently placing a kiss on your lips.
“I want you.” You whispered, breaths intermingling with hers as she dipped her fingers into your underwear and towards your pulsing clit. “This is my reward for being a good student, right?”
“Yes sweetheart, this is what a normal relationship looks like between a student and mentor. You trust me right?” Agatha’s words wrapped around your brain, a lavender-scented haze beginning to take over your senses. You nod. Agatha smiles darkly.
Groaning at the feel of your slick juices sliding between her fingers, Agatha circled your clit as she felt her own arousal rise. You moaned, moving to rest your forehead against hers as your hips rolled forwards.
“Does that feel good, hon?” She asked, not giving you the chance to respond before she took your bottom lip between her teeth and sucked. You moaned, canting your hips forward as she grazed your aching clit and deepening the kiss. Agatha’s tongue slid alongside yours, and you kissed her passionately until your chest was aching for air.
Pulling away, you whispered, “Yes Aggie, that feels good. It feels really good, please don’t stop.”
Smirking, Agatha’s eyes traveled over your face as she watched your reactions to her touch. She deliberately stroked a single finger over your clit, and your mouth parted in surprise. Your eyebrows threaded together as you attempted to keep your eyes open and on her. Slowly, she inserted a single finger into your wet pussy, grinning when you moaned openly against her ear.
You could barely hold yourself together. You’d been dreaming about this day for months, and it was better than you could’ve possibly imagined. Moving your mouth, you whispered into your mentor’s ear, “More. Please? You feel so good.”
Agatha didn’t respond verbally, instead letting out an animalistic growl at your plea. In one swift move, she buried two fingers into your wet heat, grunting slightly when you bit down on her neck in response.
Too far gone to realize what you’d done, you continued sucking dark hickeys into Agatha’s neck as she panted beneath you. Pulling away, you admired your handiwork before asking, “I’m a good student right? And you're rewarding me because you’re proud of me?”
Thrusting her fingers slightly faster, Agatha responded breathily, “Mommy is very proud of you hon, just stay still and pretty for me okay? Can you do that? Can you be a good girl for mommy?”
You felt a wave of arousal coat her fingers as you processed her title, nodding shyly as you moved your mouth back towards her neck. A single hand against your throat stopped you, and you gazed at her in confusion until she pulled her shirt off in one smooth motion.
“Is this another thing mentors reward their students with?” You asked, your eyes glued to her stiff nipples as you felt saliva pool in your mouth.
Agatha just barely stopped herself from fucking you deeper, wanting to take you in any way she could. Responding through gritted teeth, she circled your clit with her thumb as you gasped. “Yes sweet thing, as your mentor this is how I’ll reward you from now on. Is that alright?”
Nodding, you moved your mouth towards her chest. As you latched onto her nipple, you brought your hand up to play with her other one, enjoying the low grumble of her chest as she moaned. The fingers fucking you increased their speed, and you bit down slightly in surprise.
Pulling away, you looked up in preparation to apologize for your rough treatment of your reward. “I’m sorr-”
You were pulled back to your mentor's chest before you could get another word out, her fingers tightening in your hair as she practically forced your mouth around her nipple. You smiled around her chest happily, focusing on the weird feeling pooling in your gut.
It felt like a rising tidal wave, a tendril of heat spreading from your core to the rest of your limbs. You’d never felt like this before, and were eternally grateful that your mentor was the one showing you the ropes. After all, you were a very good student, and deserved a reward for your efforts. You felt your muscles seize up, and looked up at Agatha desperately.
“Mommy.”
At your whine, Agatha increased her pace as she pressed her thumb firmly against your pulsing clit. Nodding in encouragement, she watched your face as it contorted in pleasure. “Good girl, let go for mommy. You can come whenever you want to, hon.”
With her permission, you let your body fall over the edge you’d been teetering on for the past few minutes. You spasmed, your hips shuddering around her hand as you gripped her shoulders. Agatha talked you through it, praising you and stroking your hair as you twitched in her lap.
“Very good, sweetheart. Mommy is so proud of you, you’re such a good student for me. That’s right, hon, just let yourself relax. Mommy’s here, she'll take good care of you.” Her words finally registered in your brain, and you groaned as you pulled your head away from her chest. Your ears rang slightly from the force of your first orgasm, and you grinned at her with a dopey smile.
“Can this be a regular thing from now on?” You asked, feeling your eyes droop suddenly. You were so tired, both from your reading and the orgasm.
Agatha laughed softly, her eyes still dark as she carried you towards her bed. “Of course, hon.”
After all, she was your mentor. And mentors always take very good care of their students.

gn!reader x zb1 gunwook
genre: angst, student!au, fluff?, gunwook and you as the popular class presidents // warnings: bullying, blood, violence, jealousy
author’s note: i was originally going for a happy ending because angst makes me feel so bad but no i like to make us (yes, myself included...) suffer today :D (you'll be fine) also omg ult twins!!!! you’ve got insane taste btw hehe <3 (★ω★)/ [requested♡]
gunwook and you were two of the most popular students in the entire school. you two being the two class presidents, you can often be seen together to work on projects or just share ideas on future plans to improve your lifestyle. it had started with a pure academic motive. meeting up after classes at the library to talk about the recent complains from the students and how you could find a solution to those. after a few weeks though, you found it less and less of a burden to stay late at school and, if you dare to say, you were excited to do your duty as a model student simply and solely to spend some time with gunwook.
and the other students were quick to catch up that maybe you two had become much closer than expected and let's say people were not very happy about it. you were aware of how popular you were just by counting how many love letters would be squished in your locker on valentine's day and how many students would wait for gunwook to clean the classroom until sometimes 5 or 6 to hand them a cheap snack and hearing a few words from him, a simple hello and thank you. and you hated how that popularity made all your relationships feel fake and forced. but when you were with gunwook, everything felt so light and casual. for the very first time, you felt like you didn't need to keep a facade and felt like you could finally be yourself.
gunwook was already waiting for you at the quiet and empty library as he had finished his classes earlier than you. he took the chance to grab a drink for both of you, thinking that it could maybe cheer you up after this long day. gunwook noticed that you still hadn't arrived after 20 minutes and assumed that you were probably talking to your teacher or helping your friends with their assignments like you usually do. therefore, he starts working, his glasses resting on the tip of his nose, almost sliding off. his chin was placed on the palm of his hand, his index occasionally taping his upper lip and his eyebrows furrowed in concentration. almost 45 minutes since your class ended and you still were nowhere to be seen. the boy starts to get worried and he goes looking for you, considering that a walk around the school would also empty his mind a bit.
"i already told you we are just friends, nothing else" you state firmly, glaring at the group of students circling you. the girl in front of you, who seemed to be the "leader" of the crowd steps on your foot, lasers shooting through her eyes. you wince in pain but keep your composure and replies calmly "have you maybe considered that your terrible attitude might be the reason gunwook doesn't want to have anything to do with you, with all of you guys? he wouldn't even befriend and even less date any of you guys." you suddenly feel a boy grab your hair from your right while another person twists your arm from your left. despite the pain you keep your head up, smirking at her while some blood from the punches received earlier was staining your lips "and what if we were more than that?" her eyes turn dark and you know you're about to receive either a slap or a punch, or worse, in the next 5 seconds.
but those 5 seconds were enough for gunwook to find you and quickly stand between you two. he takes a glance at you from over his shoulder and his heart aches seeing the state they left you in. he orders them to leave you alone with a shaky voice but the only response is a couple of chuckles. all of a sudden, the crowd takes a few steps ahead, slowly closing the gap between you. gunwook takes your hand in his, he was trembling and he could barely murmur a sorry with the tears building in his eyes. and the boy had never felt so much shame and disappointment in himself before this moment when he understood that he won't be able to protect you this time.

9 Quick Study Tips for University Students
I wish I'd known that earlier.
1. Add structure to your day.
Have a morning wake-up routine, meal times, relaxation, creativity time, time for self-reflection, time to shut off and rest.
2. Attend your professors’ virtual office hours.
I promise it will be worth your time.
In addition, attending office hours can help you:
- Get clarification on course content or assignment instructions, so you don’t sink into the quicksand of confusion
- Listen in on questions that your classmates ask—and get answers right away
If you’re looking to discuss topics that relate to you personally (e.g. deadline accommodations, grade disputes), consider emailing your instructors to schedule a 1-on-1.
Even if you don’t have any particular concerns, still attend when you can. You could:
- See if you’re able to respond to your classmates’ questions for an intellectual challenge/course recap
- Review the material from a different angle
Plus, your course instructor may notice how proactive you are, and you may be able to connect with them (mayyybe you’d like them to be your reference later on?).
3. Look at the pre-lecture materials.
Even if you only have 10 minutes, quickly review what major topics will be covered.
4. Find a study buddy or study group.
Connect virtually and test each other on the key concepts.
5. Manage your social media distractions while studying.
This can include hiding your phone in a far location. To temporarily deactivate your social media sites use SelfControl for Mac and Cold Turkey for Windows. For all devices, you can use RescueTime or Freedom for mobiles.
6. Ask for help.
Book an appointment with your academic advisor or student success coach. They can help you find the best study technique or how to manage your time better.
7. Use the Pomodoro Method to help improve your concentration and motivation.
8. Edit your notes daily and review your notes weekly.
Review your summary notes and remember it’s about processing what you wrote.
9. Don’t expect yourself to be perfect.
Keep trying new techniques until you find what works best.

Time Management Tips from IAS Coaching Centers in Bangalore
Tumblr media
Preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination is no easy feat. With a vast syllabus and fierce competition, every aspirant needs a solid strategy to make the most of their time. Fortunately, IAS coaching centers in Bangalore are known for their expert guidance, not only in academics but also in effective time management techniques. These tips can help you stay on track and maximize your productivity throughout your preparation journey.
Whether you’re attending classes at Bangalore IAS classes or self-studying, these strategies—adapted from the top UPSC coaching institutes in Bangalore—can transform the way you prepare.
1. Prioritize the Syllabus with Micro-Planning
Coaching experts often stress the importance of breaking the massive UPSC syllabus into smaller, manageable chunks. At renowned civil services coaching in Bangalore, aspirants are taught to divide their study plan into daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
For example, start your mornings with a focused review of a topic from polity or history and end your day solving practice questions. A micro-plan ensures you cover all subjects systematically, leaving no room for last-minute cramming.
2. Follow the 3-Hour Rule for Study Sessions
Many IAS academies in Bangalore recommend aspirants divide their day into focused 3-hour sessions with short breaks in between. The goal is to achieve deep concentration during these periods and complete substantial portions of the syllabus without burnout.
Faculty at Bangalore IAS classes often suggest aspirants take a short 10-minute break every hour to stay mentally fresh. This approach ensures you retain information better and avoid fatigue.
3. Make Revision a Daily Habit
One key piece of advice shared at the best IAS coaching in Bangalore is the importance of daily revision. Revisiting previously studied topics helps consolidate your knowledge and builds confidence. A popular strategy among coaching centers is the “50-10-40” method:
Spend 50% of your time studying new topics.
Dedicate 10% to quick revision of the previous day’s work.
Use the remaining 40% to attempt mock tests or write practice answers.
Aspirants who incorporate this method often find themselves better prepared for both the prelims and the mains.
4. Master the Art of Note-Making
In most UPSC coaching centers in Bangalore, faculty emphasize the importance of concise, self-prepared notes. Instead of relying solely on bulky textbooks or coaching materials, learn to distill complex topics into easy-to-revise points.
Top-performing students at IAS academy Bangalore recommend creating separate notebooks for subjects like current affairs, essays, and GS topics. Highlight important points and update them regularly to stay ahead.
5. Leverage Mock Tests and Analysis
One of the standout features of top UPSC coaching institutes in Bangalore is their extensive focus on mock tests. Regularly attempting tests under exam-like conditions helps improve time management, question prioritization, and accuracy.
However, the real trick lies in analyzing your performance. Coaching centers guide aspirants to evaluate their mistakes, learn from them, and refine their strategy. This practice ensures that you’re continually improving and saving precious time on exam day.
6. Balance Classes and Self-Study
A common challenge for aspirants at civil services coaching in Bangalore is balancing classroom learning with self-study. Faculty members recommend reviewing classroom notes the same day, ensuring you retain key concepts.
Additionally, allocate at least 4-5 hours daily for self-study, focusing on strengthening weak areas or exploring additional resources recommended by mentors at your coaching institute.
7. Maintain a Healthy Study-Life Balance
Top coaches at the best IAS coaching in Bangalore stress that time management isn’t just about study hours—it’s about overall productivity. A healthy routine that includes adequate sleep, physical activity, and relaxation is crucial for maintaining mental clarity during preparation.
Taking short walks, meditating, or engaging in a hobby can help refresh your mind and boost your efficiency when you return to your study desk.
8. Use Technology to Stay Organized
With advancements in digital tools, many UPSC coaching centers in Bangalore encourage aspirants to leverage apps for time management. Calendar tools, flashcard apps, and online test portals are invaluable for tracking progress and staying consistent.
For instance, you can use apps to schedule revision sessions, set reminders for coaching classes, or track your daily goals.
Why Time Management Matters for UPSC Success
Effective time management is the backbone of every successful aspirant's journey. The best civil services coaching in Bangalore goes beyond academics to teach students how to optimize their time. These techniques aren’t just limited to study hours—they prepare you to think critically, manage stress, and approach the exam with confidence.
As many toppers from IAS academy Bangalore point out, mastering time management can be the difference between clearing the exam and falling short. Start early, stay consistent, and adapt these expert tips into your daily routine.

"Navigating Academic Life: Challenges, Growth, and Success"
Academic life is a journey filled with discovery, challenges, and personal growth. Whether you're in high school, college, or pursuing higher education, the experience is a mix of intellectual stimulation, deadlines, social interactions, and self-discovery. While it can be demanding, academic life shapes us into more knowledgeable, disciplined, and resilient individuals.
The Challenges of Academic Life
One of the biggest struggles in academic life is balancing coursework, extracurricular activities, and personal responsibilities. Deadlines pile up, exams bring stress, and sometimes, motivation dwindles. Many students face the pressure of maintaining good grades while also managing part-time jobs, social life, and mental well-being. Procrastination and burnout are common pitfalls, making time management a crucial skill to develop.
Another challenge is adapting to different learning styles and expectations. Each subject, professor, or institution may require unique approaches to studying. Some thrive in structured environments, while others struggle to keep up with fast-paced lectures and independent learning. The key to overcoming these obstacles is resilience—learning how to adapt, seek help when needed, and continuously refine one's study habits.
The Growth and Rewards
Despite the challenges, academic life offers immense rewards. Education is not just about memorizing facts; it's about learning how to think critically, solve problems, and communicate effectively. The knowledge gained from academics serves as a foundation for future careers and personal growth.
Beyond academics, students build lifelong friendships, network with mentors, and develop skills that extend beyond the classroom. College and university life, in particular, expose students to diverse perspectives, fostering cultural awareness and open-mindedness. These experiences help shape character and prepare individuals for the complexities of the real world.
Keys to Success in Academic Life
To make the most of academic life, students should focus on effective study techniques, time management, and self-care. Here are some essential tips for success:
1. Develop Good Study Habits – Find what works best for you, whether it’s group study sessions, note-taking techniques, or online resources. The freedom to explore various subjects and activities allows you to discover your true passions. For many, this period is a time of self-discovery—identifying what truly drives you, what you care about, and how you wish to contribute to the world. It’s a time when failures are reframed as learning opportunities, and success is measured not just in grades but in personal fulfillment and growth.
2. Manage Your Time Wisely – Prioritize tasks, break them into manageable parts, and avoid last-minute cramming. Time management is more than just a productivity hack; it’s a cornerstone of academic success. By managing your time wisely, you can reduce stress, improve your academic performance, and create a healthier work-life balance. It enables you to allocate sufficient time for studying, engaging in extracurricular activities, and enjoying personal downtime—all essential for a well-rounded academic experience.
3. Seek Help When Needed – Utilize professors' office hours, join study groups, or seek academic support services. Academic life is often associated with long hours of studying, tight deadlines, and the constant pressure to perform well. While pursuing education is a rewarding journey, it can also be physically and mentally demanding. Many students push themselves to the limit, often neglecting their health in the process. However, one of the most important lessons in academic life is knowing when to ask for help—especially when it comes to health.
4. Stay Healthy – Sleep, nutrition, and exercise play a significant role in concentration and overall well-being. Good health plays a crucial role in a student’s ability to focus, retain information, and perform well in their studies. When students neglect their health, whether by skipping meals, sacrificing sleep, or ignoring stress, their academic performance can suffer. Fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and weakened immunity are just some of the consequences of poor health habits. On the other hand, a healthy lifestyle enhances brain function, boosts energy levels, and improves mood, making learning more effective and enjoyable.
5. Embrace Challenges – Academic setbacks are part of the journey. Learn from mistakes and keep pushing forward. Every academic challenge encountered is also a lesson in perseverance. Learning to navigate through these challenges not only prepares you for professional success but also equips you with life skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
Conclusion
Academic life is not just about achieving grades or obtaining degrees—it’s a vibrant chapter in the larger story of who we are. It’s about cultivating curiosity, overc

Introduction:
Embarking on a new academic session can be both exciting and daunting for students and parents alike. Whether it's the anticipation of new subjects, teachers, or routines, proper preparation is key to starting off on the right foot. In this guide, we'll delve into essential tips and strategies to help students and parents navigate the transition smoothly and set the stage for a successful academic year.
Preparing For A New Academic Session:
Establish Clear Goals:
Before diving into the new academic session, it's crucial for both students and parents to establish clear goals. These goals could range from academic achievements to personal growth milestones. Sit down together and discuss what you hope to accomplish by the end of the year. Setting realistic and measurable goals will provide a roadmap for success and keep everyone focused throughout the academic journey.
Organize Your Space:
A clutter-free and organized study environment can significantly enhance productivity and concentration. Additionally, invest in ergonomic furniture and adequate lighting to promote comfort and reduce strain during long study sessions. Emphasize the importance of balance by allocating time for academics, hobbies, exercise, and relaxation. Consistent routines not only improve time management skills but also foster discipline and self-motivation.
Set Realistic Expectations:
It's essential for both students and parents to set realistic expectations for the new academic session. While it's natural to aspire for excellence, it's equally important to acknowledge individual strengths and limitations. Encourage open communication and reassure students that it's okay to seek help when needed. Celebrate progress and achievements, no matter how small, to boost confidence and morale.
Seek additional academic support:

Similarly, parents should maintain open lines of communication with teachers to stay informed about their child's progress, challenges, and areas for improvement. Regular parent-teacher meetings can provide valuable insights and foster a collaborative approach to education.
Prioritize Self-Care:
Amidst the demands of academics, it's easy to overlook self-care. Encourage students to prioritize their physical and mental well-being by getting adequate sleep, eating nutritious meals, and engaging in regular exercise. Teach stress management techniques such as deep breathing, mindfulness, and time management to help students cope with academic pressure effectively. Chess is a two-player board game played on a checkered gameboard with 64 squares arranged in an 8x8 grid. Each player begins with sixteen pieces: one king, one queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and eight pawns.

Is blogging still relevant in the age of TikTok and Instagram?
I, as a student still blog from time to time, and it is a way for people to express themselves in ways that they can never express themselves in face-to-face communications. Blogging is a fantastic approach to inspire students to express their thoughts, be imaginative, gain writing confidence, communicate, and work together with their peers as well as their instructors (Poth & et.al n.d).
Blogging
It includes producing articles, images, and other types of content and posting it on a website. Its traits include casual language, an informal setting, frequent changes, lifehacks, and suggestions, as well as a substantial amount of user collaboration. Platforms for social media offer ways to develop and improve interpersonal connections as well as help people communicate with their loved ones, especially those who are living abroad.
Tumblr media
Blogging offers a wide variety of content types, in contrast to TikTok and Instagram, which concentrate on short-formed video and image-based material, and while bloggers may use text, photos, videos, infographics, and others to communicate themselves making blogging a flexible medium. Blogs also provide an in-depth topic investigation. Long-form materials, lessons, in-depth analysis and narrative, which may be difficult to express in brief video snippets or photographs, are ideally suited for them
Tumblr media
Instagram
Instagram is one of the social media platforms that most bloggers go to when they want to rant about their day. It does not necessarily have to be bloggers, it could just be normal users ranting about their day through one of the Instagram features; Instagram-story, whereby users do not need to worry about over posting but instead, users can contribute as much as they like throughout the day (Instagram 2016). (Botticello 2022) stated that users can upload a photo or video to Instagram and this platform is also a well-liked platform for bloggers.
Instagram made it easy for people to blog on their Instagram story which was also made user-friendly for people to learn. People of this era are more drawn to these types of social media platforms which have been made more interactive over the years.
Tumblr media
TikTok
TikTok is a fantastic platform for blog promotion since it enables you to expand your audience, reuse your material, and develop your brand (Cummings 2021). According to (Cummings 2021), 60% of TikTok users are between the ages of 16 to 24. When I first started using TikTok, it felt like it was so much fun because it had all kinds of dances and what not and people being in plays written by themselves. People also tend to blog on the ‘For you page (FYP)’, which is where most of the videos can be seen first, the first thing one opens the app. It is a user-friendly app that most youngsters like me use to express their emotions through the videos they make. This would then allow them to engage in a series of creative and interactive methods as nowadays TikTok allows people to react or duet videos. However, there was a problem with TikTok over the years which was that it was revealing confidential information such as people’s location information (Maheshwari & Holpuch 2023). Then again people still post whatever they want on TikTok regardless of their location being revealed.
Tumblr media
Conclusion
In a nutshell, blogging is still relevant even in the era of Instagram and TikTok because people do still blog in their own ways through both social media platforms. It is just in a different format in comparison to the olden era of just writing paragraphs of text, in this modern era, people do blogging through using Instagram and TikTok and this allows them to further express themselves through whatever means possible. Through blogging, people can express their emotions in the form of writing, posting up images or videos. This increases the user’s imagination, writing confidence, communication, and working together with their classmates in various ways. Aside from that, there are other things that can be further summarized about in-depth topic investigations which may just be too complex for some people to comprehend because of the short video clips or pictures so they turn to blogs that the related topic has already been summarized in the form of text for people. As for the usage of Instagram and TikTok for blogging, it is apparent that it is still in use, although that some people no longer put their videos under the FYP as it was a few years ago.
