How to Succeed with CA Mock Test Series: Foundation, Inter, and Final

For aspiring Chartered Accountants, passing the rigorous CA exams is no small feat. Whether you’re preparing for the CA Foundation Mock Test Series, the CA Inter Mock Test Series, or the CA Final Mock Test Series, mock tests are invaluable. This blog will guide you through the significance of mock test series at every stage of the CA journey.
Understanding the Importance of Mock Test Series
Mock test series are structured to simulate the ICAI’s actual exams, offering a realistic experience. They are designed for every level—Foundation, Intermediate, and Final—ensuring students get tailored preparation tools. Mock tests not only prepare you for the questions but also boost your confidence by familiarizing you with exam patterns and the syllabus.
What Is the CA Foundation Mock Test Series?
The CA Foundation Mock Test Series is the starting point for students embarking on the CA path. It includes mock exams for all foundational subjects, such as Principles of Accounting, Business Laws, Economics, and Mathematics.
This mock test series focuses on the basics, ensuring students understand the exam’s framework, marking schemes, and time constraints. By practicing these tests, beginners can overcome exam anxiety and confidently approach the real exam.
Why the CA Inter Mock Test Series Matters
As you progress to the Intermediate level, the CA Inter Mock Test Series becomes essential. It provides a deeper focus on subjects like Advanced Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Management.
Intermediate students often face challenges in balancing theoretical concepts and practical applications. Mock test series help in bridging this gap by simulating complex questions that require analytical thinking. These tests emphasize accuracy and time efficiency, preparing students for the heightened difficulty of the CA Inter exams.
How the CA Final Mock Test Series Prepares You for Success
The CA Final Mock Test Series is the ultimate preparation tool for aspiring Chartered Accountants. This stage demands mastery of advanced concepts, including Strategic Financial Management, Corporate Laws, and Taxation.
These mock tests are designed to test your in-depth understanding and ability to apply concepts in real-world scenarios. They also prepare you for the pressure of the final exam, helping you build the resilience needed to succeed. By taking multiple mock tests, students can track their progress and fine-tune their preparation strategies.
Benefits of Using Mock Test Series at All Levels
Mock tests are crucial for success in the CA exams, regardless of the level. Here’s how they help:
Understanding the Exam Pattern: Mock tests mirror the ICAI exams, giving you a clear idea of the question types, marking scheme, and overall structure.
Improved Time Management: Practicing with mock tests helps you allocate time efficiently across different sections.
Building Confidence: Familiarity with the exam format reduces anxiety and boosts confidence.
Identifying Weaknesses: Mock tests highlight areas where you need improvement, enabling targeted preparation.
Refining Exam Strategies: Regular practice helps you develop strategies to tackle challenging questions effectively.
How to Use Mock Test Series Effectively
Choose Reliable Mock Tests Select mock tests that are ICAI-recommended or provided by reputable institutions. These tests should closely match the exam syllabus and difficulty level.
Schedule Your Practice Sessions Plan your mock tests strategically. Take them at regular intervals, balancing them with your study schedule. Avoid last-minute cramming by starting your mock test journey early.
Simulate Real Exam Conditions Create a distraction-free environment and time yourself strictly during the tests. This approach helps you adapt to the pressure of the actual exam.
Analyze Your Results After each test, review your answers carefully. Identify mistakes and understand the reasons behind them. This analysis is key to improving your performance.
Focus on Weak Areas Spend extra time revisiting topics you struggled with in the mock tests. Use ICAI study materials, revision notes, and expert guidance to strengthen these areas.
Repeat and Refine Mock tests should be a recurring activity. With each test, track your progress and refine your strategies. Regular practice ensures you’re always improving.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Many students fail to utilize mock tests effectively because of common errors:
Skipping Review Sessions: Completing the test isn’t enough. You must analyze your results to learn and improve.
Neglecting Time Management: Practicing under untimed conditions won’t prepare you for real exam pressure.
Focusing Solely on Strengths: While building on strengths is important, don’t ignore your weak areas.
Where to Access Reliable Mock Test Series
The ICAI offers official mock test series for Foundation, Intermediate, and Final levels. These tests are an excellent starting point. Additionally, numerous coaching institutes and online platforms provide high-quality mock tests. Ensure that the tests you choose align closely with the syllabus and exam format.
Final Tips for Success
Consistency and dedication are the keys to mastering the CA exams. Stay disciplined with your mock test schedule, and balance your practice with regular study and revision. Keep a positive mindset, and remember that every mock test you take brings you one step closer to your goal of becoming a Chartered Accountant.
Conclusion
The journey to becoming a CA is challenging, but the CA Foundation Mock Test Series, CA Inter Mock Test Series, and CA Final Mock Test Series are your best allies. I love Hot Topic and I buy all my clothes from there. For example today I was wearing a black corset with matching lace around it and a black leather miniskirt, pink fishnets and black combat boots. I was wearing black lipstick, white foundation, black eyeliner and red eye shadow. I was walking outside Hogwarts. It was snowing and raining so there was no sun, which I was very happy about. A lot of preps stared at me. I put up my middle finger at them.

PUSSY TALK - SUGURU GETO
CONTENT WARNING: begging, wrist restraints, rough (ish) sex
819 pm Los Angeles, Ca
"s....ugu.. pl...mmmgn" you protested, reaching your hand behind you, trying to push your 6'3 boyfriend off of you. he groaned, leaning his hips farther into yours as he held a firm grasp on your wrist, now holding your hand behind your back.
"I thought you weren't gon' talk to me? you weren't gon' make noise babe? what happened?" he whispered, pressing his thumb into your lower back, forcing your arch up higher. "is it too much for you yn?"
741 pm Los Angeles, Ca
"you're getting on my nerves miss ..." suguru threw his head back, his fingers pinching his nose bridge, irritated by your attitude.
"me? you come home late every night. you don't talk to me, you don't kiss me, you don't even look at me suguru. but I'm the one working your nerves yea ok" you scoffed, placing the dirty dishes into the soap-filled sink.
you and suguru have been having issues for almost three weeks now. you just finished school, leaving you with too much free time on your hands. this wouldn't have been a problem if you didn't choose to move in with your long-term boyfriend, suguru. his loft was only a 10-minute drive from the college you were accepted into, so being able to live with your boyfriend and go to school was a win-win.
lately, he has been working ... very late hours. 6 am to 10 pm, sometimes even past midnight. of course, you tried talking to him about it, but with every attempt, he just blew you off. ever since then, everything he did when he was at home would just irk you. things aren't like they were before.
"I am working. providing for you, keeping a roof over your head, and money in your bank account" suguru stood up, tying his shoulder-length jet-black hair up into a bun. he walked into the kitchen, grabbing hold of the towel in your hand. "I don't hear you complaining then do I?"
"you're an ass!" you snatched the towel back, throwing it at his chest. wiping your hands, you stormed away annoyed at his stupid response. "Im done fucking talking to you, for the rest of the night you wont hear shit from me"
820 pm Los Angeles, Ca
"mmng.." you muffled, stuffing your face into the pillow in front of you, leaving a small smear of brown foundation on the bright pink sheets you two shared. you rolled your eyes, feeling his thick tip ram in between your folds, hitting your cervix.
"thats what I thought ... cmere" he reached over, grabbing the back of your neck and pulling you up to his chest. "I hear that pussy talkin' to me though don't I?"
SLAP SLAP SLAP
"pl..pleasughh" your free hand reached back, attempting to do the same push as before. he grabbed it, your wrists now feeling small in the grasp of his one hand, his other still gripped around your neck.
"what you want me to stop?" suguru slowed the pace of his hips, now increasing into long, hard strokes. "that's not what she's telling me. all I hear is you want more" he laughed, whispering in your ear before shoving your head back down into the mattress. "keep that pussy wet for me yn...just like that"

Save A Horse (Cassian x Reader)
Summary: After a long hard day of work all Cas wants is a cold beer and a pretty girl.
Word Count: 1.9k
Warnings: SMUT, sexual language about women's bodies
A/N: I love a good cowboy au, and I feel like my boy Cas fits that vibe the best. I'm sorry I've been MIA, but I'm trying to get back into it I promise. Thank you all for your patience. Much love <3
Cassian takes off his hat as he walks into the bar, hair slicked back against his forehead after a long day in the sun. He appreciates the job Rhys’s father offers him, but he puts him through the wringer every day from sun up to sun down. Friday nights at Rita’s are always packed, and tonight is no exception, especially with the new addition of the mechanical bull. Cassian only has to step up to the bar and a beer is already set in front of him. He takes a sip, letting the drink cool him from the inside out before he turns to survey the dance floor. It’s packed with girls square dancing and some just drunkenly bumping and grinding with the person closest to them. He looks out across the floor watching the buckle bunnies saunter up to every available ranch hand they set their eyes on. Nights like these are some of his favorites, he just lets the girls flock to him so he can take his pick of the litter to get lost in for the night.
That’s when he sees you, red cowboy boots in all your glory on the back of that mechanical bull.
The bull is supposed to be impossible to stay on, he knows because he laughed about it with Rita on the first night she had it installed. Rhys, Az, and himself had spent the entire night watching people get thrown into the inflatable pit around it, laughing so hard they almost tipped their barstools.
But you were staying on the bull, and Cas is absolutely entranced. Your hips rock back and forth with the bull's motion, countering every single buck and jerk the machine used to try to throw you. You even had the balls to take one hand off the reigns and Cassian almost fell to his knees right there when you flipped yourself around and started to ride it backward. His eyes wander down to the tight denim of your cut-off shorts, your ass looks good enough for him to bite.
Every single eye in the bar is fixed on you because no one has ever stayed on the bull this long.
The machine starts to slow down, the rocking of your hips becoming more sensual as you begin to follow the beat of the country song blasting across the speakers. Everyone watches with rapt attention as the bull finally stops, before erupting into cheers that shake the very foundation of the building. You dismount, bowing with a flourish as you return to your group of friends. Most of the guys in the bar are approaching you, but Cassian is already tucking his hat back on and barreling over. Any other guy who had thought he stood a chance backed off just as quickly when Cassian sent them a glare that could level mountains.
He didn’t care what anyone said, he had to have you tonight, tonight you were his and his alone.
“That was incredible.” Cassian rumbles, coming up behind you, a quick wink and smile from him sends your friends fluttering across the dance floor laughing behind their hands.
“Well thank you,” you drawl, red lips pulling back into a feline grin. “And you are?” one of your eyebrows cocks, eyes lazily trailing up and down his form.
“Cassian Prince,” he tips his hat and watches as you smirk, “and can I have your name or should I just call you Beautiful?” you laugh incredulously, before rolling your eyes. Cassian’s confidence wavers for a second, that line normally works, but he presses on. “Can I buy you a drink?” You hum in contemplation, making a good show of tipping your head in thought.
“No thanks, maybe next time Cowboy.” You pat him on the shoulder before sauntering away from him and disappearing back into the crowd. Cassian watches those red boots walk away dumbfounded, but sulks back to his spot against the bar.
Cassian drinks until closing time, eyes still prowling the crowd but dissatisfied with every potential prospect. Nothing compared to the rush you gave him when you were on that bull.
Rita’s is emptying, and Cas knocks back another shot of whiskey as Rita cleans the glasses for the night. On the nights he doesn’t go home with someone he usually stays to ensure she gets to her car okay even though he doesn’t think that anyone in this town would be dumb enough to try anything with Rita.
“Hey Jackass, leave me the hell alone!” It’s shouted across the bar in such alarm that it raises the hairs on the back of Cassian’s neck. He moves faster than his brain can keep up with, tipsy feet carrying him to the bar's back corner. Cas finds that the distressed voice he heard belongs to you, and you’re currently facing up with a guy about twice your height, eyes locked on him with a glare that could make the devil flinch.
“Come on baby, I saw you on that bull,”
The stranger is pretty big, but Cas still has a couple of inches on him.
“I think the lady said to leave her alone.” Cassian’s voice rumbles, deep and dark like a thunderstorm. Your eyes blaze with lightning in return. The stranger turns and shoves Cassian on the shoulder, his adrenaline spikes, the song in his blood finally happy for a fight. His fist clenches and before he can blink it slams into the stranger's face. Cassian looks at you again as you freeze in shock, the stranger knocked out cold on the floor between your feet.
“HEY!” Rita’s voice screams across the bar, “Enough! Cassian get cleaned up, I’ll handle this.” She waves a disgusted at the man collapsed on the ground and you silently grab Cas’s hand to lead him into the bar’s tiny bathroom.
The two of you share the space across the sink, you run his hand under cold water before gently dabbing at the broken skin of his knuckles with a paper towel.
“You know,” you start, a teasing lilt to your voice “no one’s ever punched a guy out for me before.”
“It’s not gentlemanly to disrespect women” Cassian rumbles eyes watching the way your hands curl around the callous skin of his palm. Maybe it’s the leftover adrenaline from the punch he threw, but the only thing he can think of is that your skin is so soft, hands unburdened by the roughness of labor. You lift your head and Cas can feel the ghost of your exhale skate across his lips. He doesn’t know who leans in first, but your lips taste like the limes and salt used for tequila shots.
He tries his best to chase the hidden burn as your tongue traces over the seam of his lips.
You’re surprisingly dominant in the way your tongue traces over his with a sensuality Cassian thinks runs in your blood. Cas lets himself be pulled in like a ship out in the ocean, flowing and bellowing with the tide that is your kiss. Those damned hands start undoing the buttons on his flannel, but he doesn’t let you get too far. “We should get out of here,” he heaves, your chests rising and falling to the same beat, he leads you with a hand to the small of your back out of the bar over to his truck. Cassian opens the door to the driver's seat and lifts you onto the seat before his mouth meets yours again.
Your hands feel like wildfire as they trace down the hard muscles of his back, his trail sends lightning strikes down the curve of your thighs.
Your fingers find the buttons of his shirt again, and Cassian can feel himself getting harder every time one gets undone. His flannel drifts down to the asphalt that covers the parking lot and your hands against his bare chest might be the closest thing to heaven he’ll ever get. His lips bite dark marks into the curve of your neck, and the moan you release bounces off the curve of the windshield and comes back to rattle his bones. Your hands try to fond Cas’s hair but they run into the wide brim of his hat. The two of you pull apart and the fire in your eyes makes his old jeans get tighter. Your red lipstick is smeared but smile no less wild as you take off his hat and place it onto your head, as triumphant as a queen with a crown.
“Do you know what that means?” the low timbre of Cassian’s voice sounds more animal than human, his pupils blown wide as his eyes try to swallow you whole. With a laugh, you tip his hat at him and Cas drops to his knees this time. He makes quick work of the belt holding your shorts up, popping the buckle, and sliding the denim down your legs until they hit the concrete below the truck with a metallic thud. He devours you quickly, wasting no time to delve his tongue between your thighs. Your head tosses back with a moan as you begin to grind against his face with the same ferocity that you used to ride the bull earlier. Cassian slips a finger inside of you and lets out a loud groan at the feeling of you clenching around him, he can barely wait to get inside you. You finally release with a broken cry and collapse against his truck's old leather bench seat. You sit up on your elbows, chest heaving up and down with hungry eyes, and Cassian claims your mouth again. Large broad hands drag up your jaw and into your hair, scraping with such delight you almost purr like a cat. Your hands practically rip his belt open, his hips bucking into your hand when you rub hard against his length. Eagerly, you pull Cas into the truck after you and he barely manages to pull the door shut behind you. He kisses his way down your body, worshiping every inch and curve he finds before making his way back up. Lining himself up he pushes himself into you. Your hands claw down his back with a wild ferocity and Cassian loves the bite your fingernails leave. He gives you a few minutes to adjust to him, but when you start squirming underneath him and running your tongue along the shell of his ear, he snaps. He fucks into you with pure abandon, white-hot pleasure shooting between the both of you like a live wire. However, you–like everything else you’ve done tonight, continue to surprise him. You flip Cas over in the seats and ride him until his eyes almost roll back into his head. He never wants to leave this truck, the efforts of your passions fogging up the windows. You tumble over the edge walls squeezing him in a vice grip, and he’s almost embarrassed by it, but with a broken whimper, Cassian manages to lift you off of him and finish all over your stomach. You collapse against his chest, leaving red trailed kisses along the length of his jugular. After recovering, you retrieve your shorts from the ground, pulling them back up your thighs Cas watches with his eyes half-lidded in orgasmic bliss. He tracks the movement of your finger as you wipe away the smeared lipstick from the corners of your mouth.
“I’ll see you around cowboy.” Your sultry voice echoes out, reigniting the problem in Cassian’s pants when you swing the door to his truck shut and he watches your hips sway as you walk to your own car.
Cassian has to sit in his truck for another fifteen minutes to recover and its when he runs his hands through his tousled hair that he realizes one thing.
You’ve walked off with his hat.

Do you have any advice for making it ocs?
If there are two things I love in life, they're IT and OCs. While I might not be the best person to ask, I do have some tips that can hopefully help a few people! Buckle up, this is going to be a long one!
Altering Canon .
First and foremost! I think it's important to not heavily alter the main story of IT when you create a character. This also means don't subtract from canon character's experiences. By that I mean taking a canon characters "scene" and giving it to your character instead.
Altering canon can be fine as long as it's not done to an extreme <3
Relatives .
Making your character related to any canon cast is fine, but with some characters you need to be prepared to explain a LOT. Say if you are making a character related to Beverly Marsh or Henry Bowers, two characters who are both heavily abused by their fathers. It's going to be a lot harder to explain "Where are they?" during certain events of the canon than say a character who isn't overly impactful on the plot.
Arguably, making any relative to any of the Losers cast would be challenging! Off top my head, Richie is probably the easiest to pull off haha.
THAT BEING SAID. There are so many Richie Tozier sisters out there. I'm not trying to say it's overdone but —
Face Claims .
I touched upon this recently, but remember if you're making a child character it's important to choose a face claim that actually looks the part! The main age range is 12-16, however I feel like in the search of the "prettiest face claim" people have chosen actors who when you look at them you go: "That's a grown adult!"
A rule of thumb that might help! Imagine them side by side with the main cast ( especially Ben ) and the image looks funny in your mind, it would probably have looked funny on screen.
Actors age however, and if you have a face claim you really like, choosing a role which you base their main visage around really helps! For example, I chose Elle Fanning for a face claim — and she's quite obviously not a child anymore. So I made sure to indicate which role I base her appearance off of! ( The Neon Demon )
Of course, there are always exceptions! Some people genuinely look older than what they are ( or younger ) and that's okay too! It might just help to specify that in their bio.
Lore .
The best and arguably most important part of your character, their foundation! The fun stuff! Truthfully, the more information you have the better!
Where in Derry do they live? West Broadway? Are they on Witcham Street with Bill? Or perhaps they live in the poorer neighborhood near Beverly. Whichever you choose, should honestly impact your character.
Family, it's so important to include family SOME how. It doesn't matter if they are present in your writing or not but they shouldn't be ignored. You'd be surprised how much fuller your character feels when you shape their world around them, if that makes sense.
Friends, if your character has friends with any of the canon cast, you should absolutely add details about how they get along. ( Or don't! ) if your character has other OC friends, or friends you've created to world build for them — absolutely talk and write about them as well !
ALSO! What is their social standing in school? What sorts of people do they hang around with — cliques! Artist? Music? Popular kids? Band Kids? The list goes on....
There is SO much to go into detail about, and honestly I HIGHLY reccomend writing it all out in one space where people can navigate and learn about your epic lil OC.
Carrd.co - a great and FREE webpage which you can fully customize to suit your OC. Including thousands of free themes you can choose from! It looks professional, and it's easy to navigate and use for beginners too. There IS a paid subscription so that you can have unlimited elements ( basically like unlimited photos, text boxes, links, etc) but free users get up to 100! Which should be more than enough. And if it's not you can make a secondary carrd site and link them together!
Google Docs - Another great tool for begginers! I'll be honest I don't use it but many of my friends swear by it. It's also customizable with thousands of custom themes online to choose from!
Toyhouse - Toyhouse is another popular OC hosting website with many themes to choose from. Many are also paid and created by the community however. Toyhouse requires a generated key to create an account, I might have some spare keys if anyone needs one, but honestly Toyhouse isn't as user friendly as the above options.
Pennywise .
Please please PLEASE! Do not forget about Pennywise. There is a very real looming threat in Derry Maine, and while most choose to write about their characters interaction with the canon cast or other OCs; it's very important to include your character's thoughts on the disappearance of MULTIPLE children in Derry Maine.
They do not need to combat Pennywise, and realistically they wouldn't stand a chance against Pennywise either. But it's also really cool when writers include Penny into their story or lore, otherwise it may as well just be a slice of life fandomless character.
The EDGE .
I understand we all love having that really cool character who is considered to be "dangerous" or "unhinged" and it is 100% okay to go that route too. HOWEVER, if you're going to create a character who is considered to be a "pyromaniac" or a character who is a "stalker" ...
Take it seriously.
While IT has it's fair share of comedic scenes, it also takes it's characters who do Bad things, seriously!
Take Patrick Hockstetter for example. He is mischaracterized to hell and back in the fandom, and more or less made into a joke character. But if you genuinely read into his backstory; he is a terribly creepy person, dark, and absolutely twisted. Disregarding the one scene that EVERYONE tends to focus on; Patrick is a very well written character. And the things he does aren't written to be jokes as the fandom is very much guilty of portraying them to be!
ULTIMATELY it's really not that deep. But these are just a few tips that I have to share. There is so much more when it comes to making a well developed character, but I really hope that it helps! If I can think of anything to add later, or if anyone has any questions I'd be more than happy to help! I LOVE OCs and I love supporting people who wish to create them <3

this is in a similar vein to an ask you got recently but do you have any tips for those who are interested in sims 4 (or even other games like ts3 and ts2) storytelling? I write fanfiction but I think making sims 4 stories could be a fun venture. Anyway, thank you for your time! I love your stories so very much they're literally my hyperfixation!
Well, that makes two of us because it's literally my hyperfixation. I think I've shared bits of advice before, so some of this might sound familiar, but here are some things I think are important to remember (and I tried to be concise, I swear).
Write the story you want to write. Obviously, it's a great feeling when something takes off and people get invested. But if you pursue an idea only because you think Simblr will like it, you probably won't be inspired for long and it'll probably show. I've been very lucky with my story, but it didn't blow up overnight. Early on, I was thrilled to get double digit notes or one reblog or comment and was admittedly disappointed when I put a lot of effort into something and nobody seemed to notice. But I kept going because I was obsessed and wanted to see it through, and that's more true now than ever.
Start with low stakes and allow yourself to evolve. Before I was on Simblr, I made Sims stories with no poses or visual enhancements or fancy editing. I wrote them for myself, and I loved every minute of it, but they also gave me a solid foundation for the kind of storytelling I do now. Even after starting this blog, I eased myself into it. I learned how to use poses and Reshade, then moved on to more advanced editing techniques, then moved on to teaching myself to make poses and very basic CC. If you try to learn it all at once, you're more likely to give up because you're overwhelmed. Take your time and make peace with the fact that perfection isn't possible. Everyone's always learning!
Take advantage of the fact that Sims is a game. Even though I've been a creative writer for most of my life, I don't come up with fully-fleshed, elaborate Sims stories from scratch. It started off with my legacy and not wanting every generation to feel the same. I thought about gameplay I hadn't experienced yet and centered each generation's story around that. Even with HZID, I just wanted to make and play with vampires! That's it! Initially, I used a lot of gameplay to convey Helena's college experiences, and I still try to incorporate it when I can. It can really be a great base to spark your creativity if you don't know where to start.
Don't have a life outside your story. I'm joking. Kind of. I'm not a very social person and I don't like leaving my house if I don't have to. This leaves me with a lot of time for working on story things. Honestly, I could probably stand to work on it less. But for better or worse, I'm doing story-related things most nights and weekends, and even if I'm not doing anything, I'm thinking about it. It's probably mental illness, but we'll just call it passion. At the same time, it's also important to take breaks! If you're feeling burnt out, step away for a while. If you can't make yourself step away completely (raises hand), just edit the script or spin your blorbos around in CAS or something rather than going straight for posing a scene.
Follow and interact with other storytellers. This is probably the most important thing, and as someone who struggles with social anxiety it was the hardest for me to do. But I try to make a point of keeping up with other stories, commenting, and reblogging. Not only will the amazing talent of other writers inspire you, but you're building meaningful connections that make them more likely to want to interact with your story. There's no denying it feels amazing to watch your audience grow. But no one's going to see you if you don't make an effort to be seen, as scary as it can be. So try to be active in the community and support other storytellers the way you want to be supported!
#asks#i feel like this place has become essay central lately#but i am happy to share my (minimal) wisdom#even if most of what's happened on this blog feels like a happy accident tbh!

Carter Sherman at The Guardian:
In the year Roe v Wade was overturned, at least 200 people in the US were prosecuted for conduct relating to their pregnancies – the highest number of cases in a single year ever recorded, according to a new report released on Tuesday. The report, compiled by the advocacy group Pregnancy Justice, is the first comprehensive accounting of pregnancy-related criminal charges between June 2022 and June 2023, but researchers warn that it is still probably an undercount.
[...] The vast majority of prosecutions documented in the report do not involve abortions. However, five cases mention allegations of an abortion, an attempted abortion, or “researching or exploring the possibility of an abortion”, according to the report. Only one was charged under a statute meant to criminalize abortions. The rest involved a bevy of other laws, such as a statute that bans the “abuse of a corpse”. Four of those cases took place in states that ban abortion or are hostile to the procedure. More than 200 of the 210 recorded prosecutions involve allegations of substance use during pregnancy. In almost 200 of the cases, prosecutors charged people using statutes that criminalize child abuse, neglect, or endangerment – charges that treat an embryo or fetus as a person, complete with rights and protections that may compete with that of the person carrying them. More than 100 prosecutions recorded by Pregnancy Justice took place in Alabama, a state whose supreme court recently ruled that embryos were “extrauterine children”.
Most of the cases also involved statutes under which prosecutors do not need to prove that any harm was done to a fetus or infant. Rather, prosecutors must show that a defendant posed some “risk” to the pregnancy – which could lead to criminalization of behavior that is not actually dangerous, advocates say. “It’s ultimately, a lot of the time, based on someone’s perceptions of risky behavior, however they might define it, and it’s often based on stereotypes or outdated notions,” said Zenovia Earle, media and communications director for Pregnancy Justice. People have faced criminal consequences over their pregnancies even before Roe fell. [...]
Pregnancy Justice found that more than half of the cases involved information obtained in a medical setting. In a separate 2023 study of the criminalization of self-managed abortion between 2000 and 2020, the reproductive justice group If/When/How found that in 45% of cases, it was healthcare providers or social workers who had tipped off police to a suspected self-managed abortion.
“This is a significant phenomenon, and now we have people all over the country hiding real healthcare needs and not reaching out for help. That’s the effect of this,” Bach said. “I would like a society in which people who need care, seek care. But if this is what’s going to happen, then it is totally rational to not seek care.” For Pregnancy Justice, the link between prosecutions and the medical establishment raises questions about the post-Roe surveillance of pregnancy – in particular, how the CDC, which already tracks nationwide information about abortion, could expand its reach. Project 2025, a playbook of policies for a future conservative administration drafted by the influential thinktank the Heritage Foundation, suggests that the CDC force every state to report the number of abortions it performs, as well as abortion complications, miscarriages, stillbirths and “treatments that incidentally result in the death of a child (such as chemotherapy)”. Bach and Earle declined to discuss the Project 2025 proposal, citing Pregnancy Justice’s nonprofit status.
Pregnancy Justice issues a study that more than 200 pregnancy-related prosecutions happened in the first year (June 2022-June 2023) after the Dobbs case that overturned Roe.

Here are some tips for making a character that is usable in a long-term narrative and/or roleplay, from someone who's been writing and roleplaying for over a decade
You shouldn't know everything about your character immediately. Those 50-question bios you see floating around? Disregard them for now. You don't need to know their favorite type of pie, or small details about their backstory. Free yourself from the assumption they need to be a fully articulated being before you write a single sentence of lore.
You'll need MOTIVE (what drives them?), FEAR (what are they scared of happening?), and ATTITUDE (are they calm? easily angered? hyper?); with these three things, you can easily create the illusion of depth.
Real depth comes later. Much later. 5000+ words of narrative storytelling later.
To break these three core elements down a bit:
Motive: Your character needs some kind of ambition or desire to guide them. Do they want to lead the clan someday? Do they want their cozy little farmstead to not get flattened by Luminax? Do they want to be a good father to their hatchlings? Do they want to escape their dark past?
Don't be afraid to pick a small motive at first, because motives will change and adapt to the circumstances of your plot. Luke Skywalker didn't start off his journey knowing he'd face Emperor Palpatine, and your character doesn't need to have the faintest idea of the places they'll go or the choices they'll be forced to make.
Fear: This is what you get when they can't achieve their motive, or essentially, the motive for the motive. Are they scared of not having control? Do large changes scare them? Are they worried about becoming their father? Are they terrified their dark past will catch up to them?
Thinking of fears is sometimes difficult, and sometimes too easy. I recommend starting off with one foundational BASE FEAR, aka the fear from which all other fears flow. A good tip is to ask "why is my character afraid of this?" and keep going until you hit a major part of their backstory. Ex:
I am scared of spiders (Why?) Because they have too many legs (Why is that scary?) Because it's gross (Why do gross things scare you?) Because it makes me feel unclean (Why does that scare you?) Because being dirty reminds me of the day my father died (Bingo!)
By digging back and finding that base fear, you've successfully a key component of your character and given yourself a useful tool to begin explaining your character's trauma. That's not to say that fears always tie back into extreme trauma, but it should be important to your character.
Attitude: This is how they react to social situations, or essentially, how their motive and fear translate into their personality. A character who wants to be in a leadership role and dislikes not being in control may have a big issue with authority, and authority-adjacent characters. If they're a farmer who wants to be left alone, they might be exasperated with all the hub-bub. A character who really wants to be a good father might have a fatherly aura even around other adults. A character on the run from something might be battle-hardened, or they might be neurotic and anxious! Potentially even both!
However, you need to remember, Attitude is not personality. Attitude is how a characters' motive, fear, and personality intersect with their ability to socialize. It informs their level of patience (and if that changes depending on the person!), their ability to joke and be silly, and what kinds of things will get on their nerves. Ex:
I am very short-tempered and impulsive. I am afraid of authority because my teacher used to hit me for using my left hand. I want nothing more than to be left alone. I'm not going to listen to anyone and I'm going to do the first thing that comes to mind, even if it's detrimental to myself or others. I will push people away and I will avoid emotional vulnerability.
Those five sentences already tells me how this character will interact with every other character. I can now slot that character into any scene I want to, and begin envisioning a larger character arc and character development.
Remember, not every character will get along, and no character is capable of charming every person on the planet. The most perfect, gentle, patient, leaderly, kind, hilarious character probably has one character with self-esteem issues who HATES their guts.
Quick checklist:
Name
Pronouns
1-3 distinct appearance traits (height, notable piece of clothing, and the color of hair/scales/fur/etc are the big 3)
2-4 personality traits (plenty of lists online, just grab a few one-word descriptors)
1 Motive
2-4 bullet points of backstory (Do not write a long backstory, and only do this AFTER you've done Motive; you are not writing a character for their backstory, you're writing them for their place in the present story)
1 (base) Fear
Attitude
Once you have all those things, you are fully capable of writing an interesting character within a long-term narrative or roleplay setting. Yes, that's it.
One thing to remember about narratives (and roleplays) is that the most interesting part should be DURING the narrative. Setting up a character who can have interesting reactions, has a solid basis for a variety of dynamics with other characters, and has some set desire has the highest likelihood of facilitating an interesting narrative.
The fun thing? Now that you've got all this set up, you can set your character loose on whatever world you've got, and expect that they'll get into trouble on their own without the narrative needing to drag them into it.
#cftd rambles#writing tips#flight rising#yeah sure I'll maintag fr#this is more generalized but also super aimed at FR roleplay lol#luminax mention

Brother's Keeper: Part One
Pairing: Dean Winchester x Female!Reader
Word Count: ~2.1k
Warnings: canon angst and violence, extra angst, feeling broken and utterly helpless to the point of depression
Summary: The repercussions of every bad thing you did while being soulless hit you like a freight train at full speed. There are no words that can describe how broken you feel. Sam and Dean manage to break the spell and lift the curse but what did you let out in return?

x
You wake up to Dean tightening the leather straps to your arms. You roll your head to the side and see yourself in the dungeon of the Bunker. Sam and Cas are on the other side of the room whispering to each other, ignoring you for now. You'd use magic to get out of this but your head still feels like it's splitting. To even think about magic gives you the biggest headache, but you think that's Dean's plan. You look at Dean with a deadly glare just as he tightens the other strap to your arm. Your legs are tied to the legs of the chair so you can't move an inch.
"Stare at me all you want but this is happening."
He drops the chains and walks over to Sam who steps closer to you. He aims the sonic gun at you and sends another wave of unbearing pain at you. You cry out in pain, unable to do anything but take it. When he stops you're tired but you just start laughing at how pathetic each of them are.
"Why are you laughing?" Dean asks.
"No reason but you better hope this is gonna work."
"This will work," Cas says.
"For your sake," you shrug, "I hope it does."
"What do you mean?" Dean asks.
"Dean, don't listen to her. She's only saying this to get under your skin," Sam says.
Dean puts a hand up to silence him while looking at you.
"What do you mean?"
You shift in your chair and sit up straighter if it's possible.
"You have no idea if this will work. You're out of your league here. Putting my soul back into my body might not go the way you want it to. I'm pretty powerful and the Mark is stronger than ever. It might taint that pretty white soul you got inside of you."
Dean looks at Cas with uncertainty in his eyes.
"It's going to work," Cas assures him.
"You better hope it does because if it doesn't," you pause for dramatic effect, "not only will I kill all three of you, I will kill everyone I see until I get my hands on those kids, and I'll kill them, too."
Dean looks weary but he's going through with this in the hope that this works and you're back to normal. He sits down on the chair next to you and nods to Sam who takes off his belt. Cas straps him in to keep him from sliding off the chair, and Sam folds the belt in half so that he has something to bite down on. Cas grabs a rag and walks behind you to wrap it around your mouth, giving you something to bite down on. You want to spit it out but he ties it tightly around so you're unable to.
"Are you ready?" Cas asks.
Dean simply nods. He looks at you and you glare at him in return. Cas grabs Dean's shoulder to brace himself before shoving his entire hand into Dean's body. Dean tips his head back and cries out in pain, but he makes sure to bite down on the belt to keep it from falling out. Cas pulls out your soul and your eyes widen at seeing how pretty and white it is. Fear creeps into your mind at the thought of this working. Dean slumps in his chair and pants as Cas walks over to you. You brace yourself for the fight of your life. You're going to fight like hell to turn that white soul completely black.
Cas grabs your shoulder and shoves the soul back into your body. Your head tips back and you let out a painful scream. Red magic shoots out of your body, going haywire. The entire Bunker shakes at its foundation because of your magic. Sam and Dean watch the red tendrils of magic shooting out and hitting the wall so hard that the wall cracks from the pressure. Cas pushes your soul further, and a ring of blue magic explodes out from all sides of you. The entire Bunker stops shaking and everything is silent. You're lying in the chair with your eyes closed, not moving a muscle.
"Let me out of here," Dean says once he spits out the belt. Sam unties him and Dean shoots out of his chair to get to you. He kneels in front of you and grabs both sides of your face. "Sweetheart, wake up." He moves your hair out of your face but you don't wake up. "Why isn't she waking up?"
Cas walks over and runs a hand down your body, white light protruding from his palm. He's checking to make sure your soul is secure, which it is. He doesn't see any darkness inside you.
"Dean, she's been through a tremendous amount of trauma. This must have taken a lot out of her. Let her rest. She'll wake up soon."
Dean undoes the straps holding you to the chair before picking you up bridal style. He brings you to your shared room and lays you on your side of the bed. He moves your hair away and kisses your forehead with tears in his eyes.
"Please come back to me," he whispers. "I need you."
He hates doing it but he leaves you alone in the room and closes the door quietly behind him. For the first time in a year, his head feels light and he feels empty where your soul once was. At least with you inside of him, he could protect you. Now, it's all on you to make it out of this. Dean walks to the kitchen where Sam and Cas are, and both men are on edge about the situation.
"She should wake up soon," Cas says.
"Yeah, if it worked."
"It did. There was no more darkness left in her."
Dean doesn't want to keep talking about this. One of his problems might have been solved, but there is still one big one.
"Where are we on the book? Any luck with Rowena?"
"I was just about to go there now and speak with her, but I wanted to wait until Y/N woke up," Sam says.
"If she wakes up," Dean whispers. "If it worked and we get her back, we're still left with one problem. What's waiting for us when we mess with the Book of the Damned?"
"You don't know there will be any."
"Come on, Sam. A God-level power book and you don't think there will be consequences?"
"What are we supposed to do, Dean? Just sit on our asses and do nothing?"
"No, that's not what--"
"The only thing that stopped Cain was death. Do you want to die? Do you want to kill your wife? The only way I know to help you two is to cure the Mark. I know there will be consequences but you two are worth it. We beat the devil. We beat the Leviathans. We beat Eve and her monsters. We can beat this. I'm not arguing about this anymore. We're saving you two. End of story."
"Alright," Dean says in a soft voice.
"Let's go somewhere, you and me."
"No thanks."
"Sweetheart, come on."
"Dean, I have been trying to plot my way out of here the second you stole me from the Bunker. I am only here because I have to be, not because I want to be."
"You could have left if you wanted to."
"Yeah, like you're going to let me go off on my own, fuck other men, and all that jazz, right? You beat the shit out of the first man you see who looks at me wrong."
"I protected your honor."
"No, you wanted to prove that you're the one in control and will always be the one in control. Talk about a head case," you scoff and zip your bag up.
"You got all that from a bar fight? Wow. You're good," Dean chuckles and sits up in bed.
"Dean, I've been around you my whole life. I know who the good guys and the bad guys are. Right now, I'm seeing a whole lot of bad. You know, the kind of guy that--"
"--fucks every skank in every small-town dive he passes through? Wow, you really do know how to read people because that sure as hell sounds like me."
You chuckle at his insult and sling your bag over your shoulder.
"You know what, maybe you're right. Maybe I am a skank, but it beats being a man who thinks he's the shit because he's got a cool-ass blade and the Mark when in reality, he's nothing but a loser with a shitty personality and daddy issues." Dean gets out of bed so quickly and towers over you but you're not intimidated by him. You stand your ground and look up at him instead of backing up like he wants you to. "Go ahead. Kill me." He doesn't move a muscle. "That's what I thought. You wouldn't have beaten that man to death and scared off every bartender if I didn't mean something to you. That's the difference between you and me, Dean. I don't give a rat's ass about you, but you still somehow care for me. Funny how that is."
"What the hell has gotten into you?" Cas asks and yanks his hand back.
"What the hell's gotten into me? Shall I recap how shitty the past couple of years have been? First, Henry Winchester is responsible for bringing Abaddon into our lives. Second, my idiot of a husband dug her up when she was buried permanently to ask her a fucking question only to have her escape. That caused us to look for ways to kill her, leading us over to Cain and his fucking Mark which is what both Dean and I took.
"Not to mention the civil war that was happening in Hell at the same time a civil war was happening on Earth because of angels you shoved out of Heaven in the first fucking place. You let yourself get manipulated by Metatron who, don't get me started, is a complete egotistical dick. He forced the angels to take sides. They could either be with Metatron in hopes of returning home or be with a wannabe angel with stolen grace in hopes they overcome Metatron.
"Not only did a war begin that you fucking started in the first place, but it sent Metatron to destroy Dean because he knew the only thing that could stop him was that fucking mark and that fucking blade. If Metatron didn't want to kill Dean, there couldn't have been a mark. For there not to be a mark, Abaddon would have never shown up. If Abaddon was never here, Sam and Dean would have never needed her to figure out one of the trials. The trials that came from the demon tablet and gave us the knowledge of an angel tablet. The angel tablet that you used to aid Metatron in casting out all the angels from their home. The same Metatron who killed my husband.
"Somehow it all leads back to you. This is your fault. So, tell me, what the hell do I have to be happy for?" You take a step closer to Cas and glare up at him. "How about you do us all a favor and let whatever grace you've stolen die out. A least that will save us from whatever pain you bring us next."
Okay, you've heard enough. You walk over to Doug and tap him on the shoulder. He turns to you but you give him a deadly slap to the cheek. He is shocked at your behavior and staggers back from the impact. Donna and Jody are shocked into silence.
"You are a fucking lowlife and a shitty person if you treat Donna like that. No wonder she divorced you because I can't stand to be in the same room as you much less spend my life with you. Get the hell out of here."
"O-Oh, okay," Doug stutters.
"What the h-e-double hockey sticks, Y/N? Calling my ex a lowlife? Slapping him in the face?"
"What, like you were gonna do it?"
"What would be the point? We're divorced! Do you really think I'm gonna change him now?"
"Let me get this straight. You're going to let everyone walk over you like a fucking doormat forever? Is that it?"
"How about this? Until you've actually lost a husband, you keep your mouth zipped about mine."
You chuckle slightly and look down at the ground. Donna takes this as a sign that you're sad about losing your husband.
"My husband died."
"Oh. I'm sorry if--"
"Oh, don't worry about it. He came back as a dick."
"Okay? I'm going to get some air."
Donna leaves and you turn to Jody who can't believe the attitude you have.
"You had a husband, right?" you smirk. Jody's face hardens as she glares at you but she doesn't answer. "Didn't you have a son? Man, losing two people in one night. That's gotta hurt." Jody opens her mouth to say something but decides against it. "Cat got your tongue? Don't worry, I'm sure your son ate it along with your husband."

Manifestation PAC
Hello, lovelies! Today I have a PAC to help you on your manifestation journey.
If you would like to tip me or book a personal reading you can do so at my shop. My 10 card spread is currently reduced from $12 to $5.
My readings are for entertainment. Your choices are your own.
What can I do to accelerate the wish I’m manifesting? Page of Cups
Remain open to new ideas. Embrace inspiration, even if it comes from unexpected places. Stay consistent with your manifestation, don’t falter. What you want will come to you, you just need to continue working towards it.
How to avoid holding myself back? Queen of Pentacles
Don’t let yourself become sour if your desires aren’t manifesting quickly. Things come when they are meant to. Be especially careful of becoming jealous of others. Remain positive in order to attract more positivity to you. Remember the law of attraction. Keep an abundant mindset to attract abundance.
What can I do to be more aligned with opportunities coming my way? Two of Pentacles
Be flexible. Opportunities may not come from where or who you expect. Try to be adaptable and ready to pounce on opportunities when they present themselves. Make space for this new balance in your life. Don’t let yourself become overwhelmed by your manifestation or by the responsibilities in your life. Give them equal space.
What can I do to create space for my manifestation? Seven of Pentacles
Put in effort. Work consistently in your life and in your manifesting. The most effective manifestation comes not only from wanting and mentally attracting, but by working towards it every day. Stay motivated, your work will be rewarded!
What can I do to accelerate the wish I’m manifesting? Queen of Cups
Be kind and understanding with yourself. Don’t get frustrated with yourself if things aren’t happening as quickly, as easily, or in the way you thought they would. You are attracting your desires, and they will come to you when the time is right. Getting frustrated will only delay the process. Stay positive to attract positive outcomes quicker.
How to avoid holding myself back? Seven of Swords
Don’t try to sabotage others to get ahead. Be honest in your word and deed. Resourcefulness is good, but trickery is not. Protect yourself and your energy without stooping low. Lowering your energy will only attract negativity.
What can I do to be more aligned with opportunities coming my way? Ten of Cups
Positivity is the name of the game. Find happiness within yourself where you are, and positivity and abundance will flow to you. Try to find joy with your loved ones, don’t let yourself become isolated. And who knows? Maybe networking will open new opportunities for you.
What can I do to create space for my manifestation? Ten of Pentacles
Keep your end goal in mind as often as possible. Remember why you’re putting in the work. You’re building the foundation for your abundance. Think of how your loved ones will fit into your reality. Planning ahead for where people/things you love will fit in will help when the time comes.
What can I do to accelerate the wish I’m manifesting? Two of Cups
Find a balance in your life. Nothing should overtake anything else. Once you have achieved this balance, your desires will find harmony with the other aspects of your life. This will be imperative to usher in your wishes.
How to avoid holding myself back? Six of Pentacles
Avoid relying on others for your desires. Manifesting desires is not something someone else can give you. Be wary of anyone who tries to tell you otherwise. If someone offers to help you, or an opportunity should arise, check that there are no strings attached.
What can I do to be more aligned with opportunities coming my way? Three of Pentacles
Collaborate with like-minded people. Consult with others who are interested in manifestation. Look also at those who have achieved what you desire. What made them successful? How can you apply that to achieve your own success?
What can I do to create space for my manifestation? Four of Wands
Make sure that your life is stable enough to handle what you’re attracting. Welcome your desires in, make sure that there is a welcoming environment. Be that inside yourself, or in your immediate space. Cheerfully look forward to your desires coming to you.

Trans! Cas goes to a gay lounge on fems night after Charlie helps him be more... himself. He didn't know the dress he got would keep riding up and be so so so short. Dean is everything Cas ever dreamed of. Dean takes Cas home, making out and such leads to more and more.
Short and Sweet No actual sex <3
A/N this is my 100th fic posted and I literally wrote it because I'm having a crisis of shelf. xoxo love me pls
Cas had found out about the bar, the Crossroads Discrete Queer Lounge, from his new lesbian friend Charlie. She was nice and worked at the library with him, she was focused on the fantasy and YA sections mostly and ran most of the after school programs, but she was his friend. She was his introduction into the freedom of his own queer identity. She also made sure he stayed safe. Telling him the signs of danger, where to go and not to go, who to tell and who not to tell, just giving him tips and advice. She was the best.
She helped him figure things out, talking freely over coffee and donuts about how he felt. She was his best friend when it came to figuring out that he could dress and look how he wanted. She found it fun to help find him second hand women’s clothes, dresses mostly, and shoes. She showed him old photos from pride events she had gone to, even dragging him to one in the summer. He had gone through all the pronouns and was glad when Charlie reassured him that it was okay to be a girl and still use he/him. He liked those, maybe it was that he didn’t really care what pronouns people used for him, maybe it was the security of using ones he already knew.
Charlie was the one to send him the address to the lounge, emailing him a link so he could look over the menus. She had said Fems night at the lounge would be so much fun, that her other lesbian and trans feminine friends would be there, that Cas would be surrounded by friends. She also said he had to try a drink called a ‘Babydoll’.
Cas thought it over before finally deciding that he was a grown adult who could go to bars and places and be with friends. He could do that. So he went out and bought a dress that was different from his usual at least knee length flowy dresses. It was a short, quite short, sweater knit one, grey and cozy with long sleeves and a sigh neck. It would cling down to his body, to ‘show off’ what he had.
He watched video after video on how to tuck so he would look nice and smooth under the garment. He was sacred of the tape, so he just laid on his bed and tried his best, he’d have to readjust through the night but he did it.
He followed the tutorials for his makeup, and he was ready.
When he actually put on his seamless black panties and pulled on the short dress, he liked how he looked. How flat he looked under the fabric, how it stuck to his bottom. It made him feel… content in his body.
He left thinking surely the dress would stay in place, just to the top of his thighs, covering his butt.
It did not.
He met Charlie in front of the basement entrance, the stairs down were full, waiting to be let in by the bouncer. She whistled as he walked up, complimenting his freshly waxed legs and face. She had suggested the at home kit, because he refused to go to an actual place yet. When they were close in the stairway she gushed about how good his makeup had turned out.
He’d put on his makeup according to the tutorial, nothing too crazy just foundation and blush, a little contour to slim his face down, mascara, and some pink eyeshadow. He felt… good. Pretty.
Free.
He’d been very repressed as a child, parents ashamed of their autistic child. But once they kicked the bucket when he was in college, he took his share of inheritance and found himself. His studio apartment, his crossdressing beginnings and gender discovery journey well on its way. He finally felt free, in his short little dress and his slightly irritating makeup.
So here he was standing at the bar, ordering something sweet, pulling the hem of his dress down as he felt it lift to the crest of his ass once again. He was starting to get a bit self conscious.
There were a LOT of very beautiful women and feminine people who passed a lot better than he did. Charlie had abandoned him to go find her other friends across the room and Cas hid away in the corner.
There were so many pretty people, big women with beautiful sequin dresses, a group dressed in white feathery dresses, a bachelorette party or some sort, Cas thought. There were petite people in delicate heels that he was sure would snap under his weight, people dressed in suits with nice shoes, gorgeous people wearing trans and queer pins, skirts and dresses and jeans and slacks and little tiny shorts. There was leather and latex and things all around Cas that both scared and intrigued him.
He found it all so delightful, but it also made him feel kinda silly.
He didn’t look as beautiful as any of them. He felt so out of place but like he was where he was supposed to be. Like a green grape in a bunch of purple. He didn’t know yet.
He waited on his drink. The bartender was a homely looking gentleman with a beard and a cap. Cas looked at him as he made a few drinks. He looked a bit like Santa Claus and a bit like those leather men at the pride parade. He looked over the LED lights washed all the bar patrons and bottles in a slightly pink hue. It was all rosy, he liked it.
Someone walked up beside him, the smell caught him before the words reached his ears. The warm vanilla scent, something warm and sweet but rich underneath.
“Nice panties” Said the voice that accompanied the scent. Cas jumped a bit and looked to his side only to be met with a gorgeous woman leaning back against the bar.
Cas looked her over, unable to tear his eyes away from her. From her black chelsea boots to her warm looking long black skirt that was snug around her hips to her brown blouse and short black leather jacket on top. Cas looked at her blouse, the brown complimented her. It was nice. Very nice. Very nice over her perky and round breasts that were stressing the two buttons that contained them, the white plastic struggling to keep the fabric together.
And her face was stunning. Beautiful green eyes, glossy pink lips, beautiful dirty blonde hair cut in a short pixie wolf cut, showing off her perfect face. The glint of golden studs in her ears kept catching the lounge lights.
“Huh?” Cas said as he finally realized she’d said something. His drink landed in front of him and he rushed to pull the dollars from the black clutch he brought, but the woman waved her hand, not looking at the bartender, eyes trained on Cas.
“My tab, Benny” She said and Cas looked up at her. Beautiful voice. Rich like honey but trained, not high pitched, but lifted lightly.
“I have money.” Cas said, trying not to make it seem like he was begging. Those were also the only words he trusted he could say at the moment because when the woman smiled, she was stunning .
“You’re Charlie's new friend? From the library?” The woman asked and Cas floundered for a second. Mouth opening and closing as she stuffed her dollars back in her clutch, before she nodded, smiling politely at the woman.
“Yeah, yes! Yes. I work with Charlie. At the library. We came here together.” Cas finally forced out. He hoped it wasn’t too awkward. He kept his eyes down as he sipped at his drink, it was good, alcoholic in a way that burned but with a nice aftertaste. The woman leaned in a bit closer, her warmth was creeping through the air.
“You look nice. Keep flashing your panties like that, might get someone in trouble, ass like that makes you wanna take a bite.” The woman said in a flirty that way, teasing too. Cas groaned and used both hands to yank the dress back down over his butt.
“It shrunk in the wash, I never wear- I don’t wear short dresses. I don’t wear shorts, I don’t know why I kept it on. It won’t stay down.” Cas lamented as he kept pulling the material down, stretching it out before giving up and drinking some more. The woman bumped his shoulder with a genuine grin.
“Hey, it really looks good on you. The sleeves and everything works on you. I’m Dean.” She said and stuck out her hand. Big hand. With pretty sparkly nails. Cas took it and shook it lightly. She had rough hands.
“I’m… Cas.” He said. Cas felt better than Castiel. He had been just Cas for a while, not Castiel, not Cass. Cas.
“Testing out that one?” Dean asked gently. Cas shrugged.
“Yes… I don’t… know.” He said and took his glass into his hands, looking at the floating ice cubes. This woman, Dean, she was nice.
“I kept my old name. Never felt like anyone else, never felt like I was wearing a costume like most of the other girls like us. Cas is a good one. Cassy is pretty for a nickname.” Dean said as she stepped away from the bar. Cas followed, letting Dean guide them through the crowd.
“Thank you. I’m-it’s nice to meet you. You know Charlie?” Cas asked as they stepped through the groups of people. Dean’s hair was pretty from the back, short, showing off the freckles on the back of her neck.
They ended up sitting on one of a semicircle of couches with Charlie and two other women. Cas didn’t say much, just waving when Charlie introduced them. He sat between Charlie and Dean.
Dean was beautiful. True to herself and real. Cas sat with his legs squeezed together, bag hiding his crotch, only offering short responses to questions. He didn’t really feel super comfortable, with how his dress was barely pulled down. It was not appropriate to sit down in. His legs were out, all the way down to his simple black shoes.
“You look like you’re gonna crawl out of your skin in here. I can make you a drink back at my place if you wanna chat somewhere quieter.” Dean offered as she leaned over, the words quiet and hot. Cas felt relieved and a bit… excited. A beautiful woman inviting him back to her place for a drink , a dream come true.
“Yes please.” Cas answered with a smile. He quickly told Charlie where he was going as Dean went to pay her tab. Charlie gave him a giddy grin and poked his belly, teasing him that he was finally ‘ socializing’ . Cas turned red and left, meeting Dean at the door.
“So are you… um…. I have all my guy parts still. I go to the doctors in a few months to try and start hormones. I’ve had all the tests and everything already.” Cas said as they started to walk down the street. They both had too much to drink to drive. But that gave them more time to talk.
“I’ve been on the pills since I was… shit when I moved away when I was twenty? Twenty one? When my old man kicked the bucket I bought the boobs. It’s been good. Never was interested in the lower stuff. Are you excited? For the hormones?” Dean asked easily as she made a turn down the street. Cas followed her, falling behind only once, eyes catching on her lush bottom. He walked closer to her, bumping her occasionally on the shoulder. He smiled and thought about it for a second.
“I think I want… I think I’ll want it. I don’t like my dangly parts. Charlie said I’m still a real girl if I have to wait to start. But I think it’ll feel more… real.” Cas said sincerely. He couldn’t explain the feeling to Charlie. The feeling that once he took the medicine, that he started to change, that it would feel more real. And he liked that maybe he’d be able to get the entire deal and be exactly how he dreamed.
Dean chuckled and bumped her shoulder into his.
“You have time. You’re so pretty already.” Dean said, voice dipping a little lower as they came up to an apartment building. It was nice, older but nice. Clean. Homey looking.
“You think I’m pretty? Really?” Cas asked with a smile spreading on his face. Dean was so beautiful and incredible and she thought Cas looked pretty. It made his heartbeat pick up and his face flush.
“Mhm, when I saw you up at the bar, I thought you were the prettiest thing. I can tell you’re trying so hard, I was just like you. But your hair, your hips? You’re already on your way. Couldn’t take my eyes off you in that little dress, begging to be brought home. You look fucking amazing.” Dean complimented, the words heavy. Cas swallowed and kept hsi eyes on the ground. He felt silly, getting so excited over some compliments. It was nice to know someone looked at him and saw a pretty thing. Someone pretty, something… desirable. He squeezed Dean’s hand as they walked through the building’s doors.
They made their way to the elevators, Dean leading them, going up hand in hand. Cas looked at the floor as his thoughts rushed around his head.
“Are we going to have sex?” Cas asked as the doors opened to an empty hallway. He hoped so. He enjoyed sex, the very few times he’d had it. Sex was good, it was nice to hold another person. He preferred not penetrating people and he wasn’t a fan of being penetrated but sex was okay because it meant he was close with someone. He liked intimacy, but he proffered just handjobs.
Dean scoffed, surprised at the blunt question, as she pulled them down to her door.
“If you want to. Is this your first time as Cas?” Dean asked as she let go of his hand, busy getting her keys and unlocking the door.
“Mhm. Are we… What does this count as? Gay or uh um les-lesbian?” Cas asked, suddenly feeling very conscious of the words he was saying. Dean was a girl, of course, obviously, but Charlie never explained what word meant two girls like them doing it counted as. Dean had a soft smile on her face when she looked at him.
“Two girls right? You can call it whatever you want, I won’t label it.” Dean said as she pulled them into her apartment, hand grabbing onto Cas’s. Cas did as she did, kicking off their shoes and her jacket at the entryway, following behind her into the cozy apartment. It was… way better than Cas’s studio. There were pictures on the walls, two bookshelves full of books and movies, knickknack scattered throughout. There was a comfy looking worn brown couch and a matching recliner, a well loved kitchen, and little touches of herself all over the place. They ended up in her bedroom.
Cas liked it. It smelled like shoe polish and floral body lotion. The floor was a grey linoleum that was smooth under his feet, she had a rug under her queen size, brown and striped.
Her bed… it was not made. Messy and haphazard. She was quick to pull it back together, she must sleep peacefully, Cas thought because the grey-blue blankets and sheets were only a small bit rumpled where it was obvious she slept.
Cas looked around the room. She had a tv above her wood dresser, a candle on the bedside, a book with dog eared pages, a rack of shoes, boots and work shoes and a few pairs of high heels.
It was a cozy, well lived in space. Her vanity was covered in different bottles and palettes, it had a round mirror and drawers on both sides of the pulled out bench. She must be great at makeup, Cas said to himself as he moved over to see what she had.
Cas looked back at Dean, to ask about the various bottles, but stopped short, eyes going wide as he watched her.
Dean unbuttoned her blouse, broad back facing Cas. It fell down her shoulders, revealing sunkissed freckled skin, the straps of her cherry red bra becoming visible. Cas gasped as the fabric fell to the floor, the small of her back, the peach of her ass hugged in the thick fabric of her skirt. He followed the zipper that ran down the back, as her hands came back and drew the pull down, down, down. Then she was standing there in her mismatched socks and a pair of pink panties, and her red bra.
“You’re beautiful.” Cas said, not even meaning to, the words tumbled out of his mouth. His heart was racing, he felt almost lightheaded.
Dean turned, smile on her face, something dark in her eyes as she came up to stand in front of him. She smelled incredible, and he could fee the warmth of her body creeping through his dress. Her chest, filling the bra to perfection, was barely a breath away from his own clothed chest. She was stunning, a little taller than him, looking from his lips to his eyes and back again.
She leaned in and Cas closed his eyes. Her lips were glossy and smooth, warm, and tasting like liquor. Cas sighed, relaxing as Dean’s hands found their way to land on his hips. It felt good to kiss someone, to work their lips together with the sticky slick of their lipstick and gloss mingling together.
Dean hummed and pulled back, looking at Cas, at the smudged mess they had created together. Dean smiled, something hungry hidden there, it was perfect. Cas felt drunker, head spinning as they came together again. He didn’t wanna touch her, all that bare skin placed before him like a treasure, he held onto her arms gently. Their tongues met, just for a moment before Dean was pulling back again.
“Might keep this pretty dress on, what’d you think?” Dean asked as she pinched the sides of the dress, pulling it up slowly, just enough so it slid over his ass, material gathering up higher. Cas let her, let her hands slide over her panties to grope the swell of his ass. He gasped when her rough hands roamed over his thighs before grabbing his ass.
“I hate this thing.” Cas said as he looked down at the fabric, the dress he’d never wear again getting in the way of being able to press up against a beautiful woman, to be skin to skin with his wet dream.
Dean breathed out a laugh as she grabbed the bottom on the dress, pulling it up. Cas lifted his arms and wiggled free off the offensive thing.
Dean tossed the dress to the floor and Cas suddenly aware of what he was wearing, feeling his blush travel down his neck. He’d tried to dress for the bar. For the off chance someone would want to take him home or feel him up or something.
Dean whistled lowly as her eyes traveled from his black panties up over his waxed belly and higher to the special bra he had ordered. It was made for men’s chests, cupless and flat against his pecs. It matched the panties, black and sort of lace, totally see through.
It felt nice to be looked at. Cas was surprised when he didn’t wanna cover up, but enjoyed the woman’s eyes consuming every inch of him.
“You’re so pretty, Cas. C’mere” Dean said, the words more breath than actual words as her hands pulled him chest to chest with her by his waist.
Cas whined into the searing kiss he was pulled into. She was so warm and soft, from her soft belly to her chest that was smushed between them. He kissed back, trying to keep up with her as their tongues swirled together. He let his hands finally touch her, wrapping around her to lay on either side of her spine, feeling the impossibly soft skin there. He was getting warm, from the tips of his ears to his cock where it was hardening in his panties, coming loose from his tuck.
Dean walked them backwards, not wanting to break the kiss, stumbling over each other until they bumped into the bed. Dean pulled back, taking Cas’s hands off of her to crawl up on the bed, laying against her pillows. Cas followed, going to straddle her lap as their lips reconnected. Cas felt like he was suffocating but he liked it. Dean turned her head, letting him slip away from her lips to kiss down her neck.
“Cas, listen, before we do anything, I need to talk to you.” Dean said and Cas laid against her shoulder, wrapping his arms around her, letting more of his weight down on her, his cock fitting into the slot of her thigh.
“Mhm” He hummed and nodded, listening half to her voice, half to her heartbeat. It was so strong and steady, so calm compared to the one racing in his chest.
“I don’t really get hard anymore, or cum. I mean I cum but I don’t- nothing comes out. Understand?” Dean explained as Cas peppered light kisses over the freckles on her neck and collar bones. Cas nodded and sat up, looking down at her. He had something curious in his eyes.
“We can keep our underwear if you want. I um… I rather just rub on things. On you.” Cas said looking down at her chest and the bra that obscured his view. Underwear on but maybe…
“Thanks, that’s perfect Cas.” Dean said, relaxing farther into the bed, her hands sliding up from Cas’s knees, up to his sides. She looks… happy. Cas thought, she looked happy, content.
“How about panties on, bras off. I hate this thing.” Dean said and Cas let out a relieved breath. He really really wanted her to take her bra off. He smiled and quickly just pulled his off, no clasps just elastic.
“That’s not fair.” Dena grumbled as she sat up, hands going behind her to undo the three clasps at the back. Soon she was flicking the red fabric away, baring her chest.
Cas knew he was staring, but they were glorious. The best boobs he’d ever seen. Tan like the rest of her, did she sunbathe nude? Topless?, with freckles that reached all the way to her pink nipples. Round and perfect, even the dents in her skin from the bra. Then they were bouncing, moving up and down and Cas was mesmerizing.
“You can touch ‘em if you want. Jesus Cas, you ain't never seen a pair of fakes?” Dean said and Cas was snapped from his trance. She was laughing at him. That’s why they were moving, she was laughing. Cas huffed and let his hands cup them, then give them a squeeze. Dean let out a soft sigh, her own hands squeezing the muscle of Cas’s thighs.
“They’re perfect. So soft, so… you’re incredible Dean.” Cas said dreamily as he let his hips move, rubbing into the crease of Dean’s thigh. Cas hummed as relief flooded him. He leaned down to kiss Dean, their nude chests finally meeting, Cas’s flat chest against her’s feeling heavenly.
He kept his hands where they were, squeezing lightly before just petting over her chest, thumbing over her nipples. His hips were rubbing back and forth, pleasure welling up faster than he had expected.
“That’s it, good Cas, just like that.” Dean said when they broke apart for air. Cas whined and moved down to litter kisses over Dean’s collar bones and chest.
“I wanna touch you, is that alright, baby?” Dean asked, voice falling into a deeper tone, hand moving up Cas’s thigh, just before his cock was stretching the fabric of his underwear. Cas nodded, scooting forward a bit so she’d be able to grasp him.
Dean smiled and got her hand under his panties, wrapping around his cock. Cas gasped and sat up, groaning as he bucked into her hand, finally getting the attention he needed. Her rough hands were amazing against the burning hot skin, she twisted her hand, spreading the precum that was leaking from him down, making each thrust of his hips all the easier.
“De-ean” He moaned out, broken as he sped up, whining into her shoulder. It felt so good and she was so warm and he was so close already just from kissing and touching her. Her free hand ended up on his back, her nails, blunt as they were, scratching up his spine. He moaned, it was too much.
“I’m gonna-gonna-” He tried to say but she was pulling him into another kiss. He cried out, hips stuttering as he came, rope and rope climbing across their bellies. He whined until Dean pulled away her hand, petting down his side with one hand, the dirty one left to hang off the bed.
Cas was so overwhelmed with relief, he hugged Dean, worming his arms under her body to pull her into an embrace. Dean shushed him and pressed kisses into his shoulder and neck as far as she could.
“Sorry, I usually don’t… I don’t get emotional. It felt good.” Cas said as he sat back up, his cock getting soft enough to be stuffed back in his underwear. He yawned as Dean reached to her bedside to grab a tissue from the inner drawer and clean her hand off.
“It’s alright Cas. I had fun too. But uh… you wanna shower? This place actually had a walk in, it’s the main reason I rent on this floor.” Dean said and smiled at Cas. It was so nice. Cas nodded and followed her on shaky legs. He watched her ass as she walked. It was perfect in her panties, so round and jiggly. His ass wasn’t jiggly like that.
He was silent as they showered, washing off the mess on their stomachs and their makeup from their faces. He dried off quickly and followed Dean back to her room with a towel thrown over his head while she had one wrapped around her under her arms.
Soon they were laying in her bed, side by side, dressed in her pajamas, Cas in fuzzy pants and a university T-shirt and Dean in shorts and a dog meme shirt. One of her lamps casting a warm glow through the room. Cas looked over at her, her long lashes, her soft lips.
“Can I ask you something inappropriate and rude?” Cas asked openly. It was best to ask it in that way instead of someone getting uncomfortable. Dean perked up and looked over at him.
“Is it about my body?” Dean asked and Cas nodded.
“Sure” Dean agreed and rolled onto her side, Cas matched her so they were face to face.
“Did you shrink, down there, while on hormones?” Cas asked and Dean’s face broke out into a laugh. Cas couldn’t restrain his own giggles.
Soon Cas had more questions answered, real answers. He felt like he really knew the woman, her life story tailing along with each answer.
In the end Dean kept coming around, then Cas was always at her house, then moved in with her. Dean was always there. When Cas started the hormones and got sick, when he tried three different ones until he didn’t get sick. They were glued together at the hip, matching dresses, arms locked as they walked down the street.
Dean was there, taking her PTO, to take care of Cas after his first surgery, and then again down the road when he got the next one. Dean always said she was the luckiest girl around to have a girlfriend like Cas. It was what was written on the wedding invites too.
