I’m so glad I saw the FNAF movie in theaters (I went to the premiere) bc the crowd reaction made the experience 100% better.
The way everyone screamed when MatPat came on screen.
The way we all yelled when Afton said his catchphrase.
The way we all cheered when the FNAF song by the Living Tombstone came on.
Me and my sister frantically slapping each other when we spotted a reference.
100/10 theater experience tbh

Honestly... The more I watch the last 6 minutes of Watching and Dreaming, the more emotional I get. Like... I’ve only been in the fandom since September.
About seven months, close to eight. I only got to be here for the s3 premieres.
The first time I watched the finale, there were many scenes that touched me, but the only one that made me tear up was seeing Flapjack’s tombstone and what it said.
But now, after a second watch, and many viewings of the epilogue sequence for the show, I’m starting to tear up just watching it or even just thinking about it. The gorgeous end music is stuck in my head along with images of everyone being so happy.
It’s just... it might just be the best ending to a series I’ve ever seen. And I mean that genuinely, from the bottom of my heart. The music, seeing everyone grown and happy after the arcs they’ve been through. We’ve seen them all grow so much, and to see them all happy and healthy and hopefully getting the therapy they need or needed... You can tell those last six minutes were truly a love letter to the fans of this series.
And I guess it’s just now hitting me that the series is over. And I didn’t get to experience much of it. I know the fandom has it’s irritations for me, but I overall very much enjoy this show and all the talented artists, meta bloggers, and fanfic writers. I haven’t been here long but it still hurts to see the show done and over after being treated so badly by the mouse.
Just. I don’t know. I’m no where near done with the fandom(I hope), but in a way, it’s like I don’t know what to do now. I’m not ready to move on to something else, I can’t just find interest in something else at the drop of a hat, that’s not how my brain works.

Firmly established as the premier source for high quality yet affordable horror movie masks, Trick or Treat Studios continues to diversify their licenses and expand into new product lines.
You've made it through Halloween, now try and survive Christmas. These Trick or Treat Studios products are perfect for the horror fan on your shopping list this holiday season:
Tumblr media
Punish the naughty like Billy Chapman with Trick or Treat Studios' Silent Night, Deadly Night costume. The set includes a jacket, pants, hat, belt, wig/beard, gloves, and axe. The "one size fits most" costume is a bit oversized on my scrawny, 5'8" frame, but adding a pillow for a belly rectified that issue. The material is stretchy and comfortable but not warm.
The axe is also available separately. With Billy actor Robert Brian Wilson along with Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2's Eric Freeman becoming regulars on the convention circuit, it would make a great display piece with ample room on the blade for each of them to sign.
Tumblr media
Like Hallmark for genre fans, Trick or Treat's Holiday Horrors line consists of highly-detailed resin ornaments. Halloween is my favorite movie, so I'm happy to have it represented on my tree thrice over. I already had Michael Myers, modeled after his appearance in Halloween II (and now they have one based on the first film).
The jack o'lantern — instantly recognizable from Halloween's opening title sequence — is a literal highlight, as it lights up to mimic a flickering candle within. I'm impressed by the attention to detail on Judith Myers' tombstone, complete with faux dirt on the portion that would have been in the ground before being transplanted by Michael.
Tumblr media
Controversial opinion: Krampus is my favorite Michael Dougherty movie. I love Trick 'r Treat as much as the next horror fan, but Krampus perfectly captures the holiday spirit. I'm putting the Krampus Bell enamel pin on my stocking to ensure I'm not on the naughty list.
The Misfits may sing about Halloween, but their Fiend mascot is ready for holidays with a Christmas tree-scented air freshener. I'm using it as an ornament to give some life to my artificial tree.
Gwar has lent its name to everything from whiskey and barbecue sauce to CBD and sex toys. Trick or Treat will be releasing Gwar figures next year, but four ornaments are available now. The Flying Eye design is screen-printed on a 3" metal ornament with a ribbon for easy hanging.
Tumblr media
Trick or Treat's recent foray into the action figure market has been a fruitful one, led by the 1:6 scale Michael Myers figure from the original Halloween. The Shape stands 12" tall, has 30+ points of articulation, and is clothed in a fabric jumpsuit with a working zipper. Two interchangeable hands and a knife are included.
Presentation can really set the tone for a gift. If you're giving someone a Michael Myers figure this cool, you have to wrap it in Trick or Treat's wrapping paper featuring Bob Gleason's iconic poster art. The roll comes out to 30" by 96".

Character Actress
Diane Brewster (March 11, 1931 – November 12, 1991)  Television actress most noted for playing three distinctively different roles in television series of the 1950s and 1960s: confidence trickster Samantha Crawford in the Western Maverick  with James Garner; pretty young second-grade teacher Miss Canfield in Leave It to Beaver; and doomed wife Helen Kimble in The Fugitive. Brewster was a direct descendant of William Brewster, a Pilgrim and Governor of the Plymouth Colony.
On January 31, 1959, Brewster played Lisa Caldwell in the episode "Runaway Train" of NBC's Cimarron City Western television series starring George Montgomery.
She made almost 50 appearances in various other television and film roles, including episodes of Crusader starring Brian Keith, Wanted: Dead or Alive with Steve McQueen, Tombstone Territory (as "Julie Dixon" in season 1 episode 33), Tales of Wells Fargo (as "Dr Alice" S2/E25) with Dale Robertson, and Harbor Command with Wendell Corey. In 1959, she played the girlfriend of Ronald Reagan's character in an installment of the General Electric Theatre anthology series, "Nobody's Child", and portrayed Marian Dell in the episode "Law of the Badlands" of the syndicated series Frontier Doctor starring Rex Allen.
In 1960, Brewster had a starring role as Wilhelmina "Steamboat Willy" Vanderveer in The Islanders, an hour-long adventure series set in the South Pacific, with William Reynolds and James Philbrook. That same year, she also portrayed the titular role in "The Lita Foladaire Story," an episode of Wagon Train with Ward Bond and silent film star Evelyn Brent, in which Brewster's character had been killed before the start of the show, with her sections of the story posthumously depicted in flashbacks.
Brewster subsequently guest starred on Empire and in The Rifleman episode, "The Jealous Man" in 1962; on The Dakotas with Jack Elam in 1963; on the 1963 Perry Mason episode, "The Case of the Potted Planter" with Raymond Burr, and in the premiere episode of Kentucky Jones (1964) with Dennis Weaver and Harry Morgan.
Brewster appeared several times in flashbacks as the murdered wife Helen Kimble in The Fugitive, most prominently in Episode 14, The Fugitive (season 1), "The Girl from Little Egypt," broadcast December 24, 1963. She appeared in two episodes of Death Valley Days, in a 1966 episode of Family Affair, and in an installment of Ironside (1968) before retiring. She reappeared in four episodes of The New Leave It to Beaver.  (Wikipedia)

Memoirs of a Monster Societ episode 2.
The Witch Girl of Pilot's Knob.Welcome to episode 2 of our chilling series, "Memoirs of a Monster Society," based on the spine-tingling comic book that delves into the darkest legends and mysteries of our world. In this premiere, we uncover the eerie tale of the Witch Girl of Pilot's Knob, a haunting story that dates back to the early 1900s. In the small town of Pilot's Knob, the legend of a young girl accused of witchcraft has been passed down through generations. Her grave, encased in a formidable iron fence, is said to trap her restless spirit within. Locals whisper that after dark, the Witch Girl reaches out from beyond the grave, attempting to pull unsuspecting visitors into her eternal prison. Many who have dared to visit her grave have reported spine-chilling experiences: the sensation of a cold, invisible hand grasping at their ankles, disembodied whispers carried on the wind, and shadowy figures lurking among the tombstones. These unsettling encounters have fueled the legend, warning those who come too close that the Witch Girl might just pull them in. As night falls over Pilot's Knob, the atmosphere grows heavy with dread. The iron fence, meant to contain her malevolent spirit, stands as a grim reminder of the town's dark past. The whispers of the wind seem to carry the cries of a young girl wronged by her time, echoing through the cemetery and sending shivers down the spines of those brave enough to venture near. In this episode, we explore the chilling accounts of those who have experienced the Witch Girl's wrath and delve into the history that surrounds her tragic tale. We invite you to join us as we uncover the mysteries of Pilot's Knob and unravel the truth behind this haunting legend. Remember, some legends are best left undisturbed. If you ever find yourself in Pilot's Knob after sunset, stay safe, and beware the Witch Girl of Pilot's Knob. "What haunts your hometown? Discover it in our next episode." Stay tuned for more spine-chilling stories in the "Memoirs of a Monster Society" series. This is just the beginning of our journey into the unknown, where every legend hides a dark truth waiting to be revealed.

Valentino's 'Le Salon' is a Lesson in Regressive Storytelling
I never know what to expect when it comes to Valentino and this past Haute Couture show titled ‘Le Salon’ proved why I am so critical towards the current state of fashion. The livestream premieres with flashing lights from Place Vendôme in Paris, France as notable guest like Florence Pugh, Kris and Kylie Jenner also featuring Kylie’s daughter Stormi and founding house father Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani decked in a burgundy velvet suit that gives off exactly what Nicki Minaj would say a lot of you people can’t spell. Couth.
But the second the circus was over and everyone had taken their seats the real show began. Burgundy seems to be a common color scattered throughout shows recently that I am slowly becoming rather fond of. The color reminding me of the Christmas sweater that Mrs. Weasley would make every year for her son Ron Weasley in the films. It is that kind of consistent love that I am beginning to associate with this color. I am sure that nearly every Harry Potter fan will understand what I am trying to describe. Continuing on an Italian aria echos as the models continue walking down the runway. Tombstone grays paired with egg yolk yellows or neon oranges is only something PierPaolo, the current creative director of Valentino, could envision being paired together. Does that mean that all the silhouettes are terrible? Absolutely not! A dress that was worn by Florence Pugh for her Australian Vogue November issue, and that I would have the fortune of featuring on my own tiktok page, would make an appearance; proving the point in my Dior Couture review that certain pieces would look better on a fuller-sized model and Pugh perfectly captures that look.
Yet as the show continued on there were only a few more pieces that would capture my eye. A turquoise evening gown brought a smile to my face as I watched a dark skinned model sporting a shaved head, a quicker-than-lightening attitude and a walk with so much elegance that you couldn’t help but give a small, “you better go girl,” under your breath. The gown only an added accessory to the model. This is the type of energy, I realize, is missing from the runway scene. A lack of personality. I guess we can blame Prada for that one, but that’s for another essay.
The show continued on in tulles, sequins and unique pairings that again, some may say is a work of genius, but I would have to disagree. Now, do not mistaken my disdain for Le Salon as disdain for the creative director. The L’Ecole show still holds a special place in my heart and is shelved right in my top two alongside the Pink PP collection. However, coming off the heels of an amazing show like L’Ecole I had high hopes to see what PierPaolo would showcase and was let down in a tremendous way. In terms of music and performance, I loved the traditional Italian Opera, but when you compare that to, what can only be described as a spiritual conversion to the world of FKA Twigs, I don’t think a younger demographic would care too much for this show once they hear the music. The clothes were, at best, in-cohesive; and at worst, a dumpster fire of the worst color combos you could put together. But just as I was about to write the rest of this show off, Black silhouettes made their appearance and I paused to watch. Each look channeling something that was made specifically for the femme fatale. The Black Swan of her family. I was hooked but by that point the show was over and I was left feeling…underwhelmed.
In terms of artistry and storytelling this was not it Valentino and PierPaolo. I know that I was a fan of the burgundy and the Blacks but the few good  pieces that were in those colors were so far in between that it just wasn’t enough to save them this time around. The ten’s are replaced with the 6’s in my book for color crimes against humanity. But again, don’t crucify me, this is just my opinion. It’s not like I am Anna Wintour…yet.

So uh. I was listening to an OC playlist... Die in a Fire by the Living Tombstone.
2. Last TV show.
Finished? Witcher Blood Origin.
3. Currently watching.
I watched the first episode of season 3 of The Mandalorian. Pretty lackluster in terms of a season premiere tbh, nothing really happened. I also picked up Half Bad on Netflix bc my mom is obsessed with it. It's pretty good! And I've been watching HBO's The Last Of Us as it's been coming out :)
4. Currently reading.
Um. Nothing, really. Besides my own writing haha. I've been so bad about reading lately. Books and Fic.
5. Current obsession.
The dumb little 1830s AU I have for my vampire ocs. Like... I've already done research into the 1918-1920 era. let me stay there. But 1830s fashion is sooo pretty that it keeps calling to me.

OTD in Music History: Joannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart (1756 – 1791) dies in Vienna, at the age of just 35. Mozart had originally fallen ill in Prague back in early September, although he continued to perform his professional functions for some time (including conducted the premiere of “The Magic Flute” on September 30). By the end of November, however, he was bedridden and suffering from full-body swelling, intense pain, and nausea. The cause of this final illness remains speculative. Mozart was nursed in his last days by his wife and her youngest sister, and, even at that stage, he was still attempting to finish his celebrated Requiem – although contrary to popular legend, there is little evidence that he actually dictated passages to his student Franz Xavier Sussmayr (who completed it after Mozart’s death) from his deathbed. Mozart was interred in a common grave. Once again, contrary to myth, the tale of a storm and snow is false; the day was actually calm and mild. It is also important to note that that term "common grave" had a very specific meaning in 1790’s Vienna: In accordance with recently-passed legislation, it simply meant an individual grave for a non-aristocrat that was subject to excavation after ten years in order to clear out room within the cemetery. Moreover, the state-enforced modesty of his funeral did not reflect Mozart’s standing with the wider public as an artist; memorial concerts were quickly planned in both Vienna and Prague, and they were extremely well-attended. The decades following Mozart’s death also saw an unprecedented wave of posthumous enthusiasm (a phenomenon previously unheard of in musical history) as publishers vied to produce complete editions of his output. PICTURED: A first edition of the first comprehensive full-length biography of Mozart ever printed (1828). This was actually a joint work by Mozart’s widow, Constanze (1762 – 1842), and her second husband, George Nikolaus Nissen. (Highlighting Mozart's enduring popularity, Nissen’s tombstone designates him as "the husband of Mozart's widow.”) This book includes an engraving of the famous c. 1780 Mozart family portrait.

If you had to pick the top five episodes of supernatural what would you pick? I'm asking because I'm planning a binge party with my friends but I legit cannot decide
ohmygod ohmygod YES that sounds so fun!!! i have some amazing eps in mind, but idk if i can put them in a particular order of favorites, also just picking 5 from the whole series is HARD, especially because there's such a wide range of vibes in the eps. okay lemme think:
5x22 "Swan Song" - is this thee best spn ep of all time? with the narration, the montages - you decide.
5x08 "Changing Channels" - a full on crack episode that somehow manages to be crucial to the apocalypse plotline?? sign me tf up.
6x15 "The French Mistake" - this would make everyone's top 5 list i think, but that's because it's valid. imo you can't do a spn binge collection without this ep
11x04 "Baby" - a robbie thompson classic. another ep that's debated to be one of the best. yeah, the one from the car's perspective <3
10x05 "Fan Fiction" - i'm a fan of the meta episodes, but i know some aren't, so if you're not, def pick another one, buttttt it's a musical. about their lives. and they're watching it. it's awesome.
Honorable Mentions:
1x18 "Something Wicked" - listen this one is just special TO ME, it's the first time we see young sam and dean interact with john, and it's really just beautifully tragic that that's the case, but it's def a crucial ep in young dean studies.
4x01 "Lazarus Rising" - first time we see Cas is a MUST imo. plus, it's just an EPIC entrance for angels and a great season premiere.
4x21 "When the Levee Breaks" - if you want angsty, full-of-pain ep, this has to make your list. if you're aiming for lighthearted, funny eps, maybe not so much, but i'll list it because it's just that good
6x20 "The Man Who Would Be King" - an option for the cas girlies (gn). this is a great ep, and if you're a heller friend, you may choose to include this one from our fav angel's perspective.
12x11 "Regarding Dean" - a comfort ep of mine. if you're a deangirl like me, this one my be extra special to you too. it's got dean cuddling a bunny, adorable dean and rowena scenes, and ofc the mechanical bull, so it's a win.
13x06 "Tombstone" - a heller classic. deancas reunion, deancas in cowboy hats, dean being happy, cas meeting jack - it has everything, my beloved <3
13x16 "Scoobynatural" - it's a scooby-doo crossover. enough said.
15x18 "Despair" - destiel confession scene, but yeah. this one is pretty tense, obviously, so tread lightly.
hope this helps you, anon! <3

I was tagged by @destinyandcoins to list my current top 5 songs. There was no requirement that I go into excruciating detail about my feelings regarding these songs, but also, notably (perhaps for next time!) no specific prohibition against me doing so. Therefore...
"This Woman's Work" by Kate Bush. I am obsessed with, and yet also slightly hate, this song; I think the first line and hook/chorus are great, but I'm iffy on the rest of it. It feels unfinished. It's also very hard to just casually sing to yourself, which tbh is one of my top criteria for songs. Once in a delirium I got the idea to combine it with the good parts of another song I love-hate, "Glycerine" by the band Bush, but so far I haven't quite been able to make it work. Fun fact + opinion: despite it being written for a movie in which Kevin Bacon's wife nearly dies in childbirth, the actual best ever use of "This Woman's Work" was in the series 2 premiere of The Handmaid's Tale, during the execution scene.
"Spooky Scary Skeletons (Undead Tombstone Remix)" by Andrew Gold. Look. I didn't really get to enjoy Halloween this year because I was suffering from a dissertation. I'm not ready to let go of spooky season just yet. And as I've said before, by all rights spooky season should last through Christmas at least—the Victorians (my best bitches) told ghost stories at Christmas! A Christmas Carol is a ghost story! I'm probably going to reread The Woman in Black for Christmas this year. Anyway. This is obviously a goofy-spooky song (and best enjoyed in the form of Tom BetGeorge's Halloween light show), but it also brings me a lot of joy. For properly spooky music, we turn now to:
"Bottom of the River" by Delta Rae. A bitch loves some Southern Gothic! Delta Rae is a very Fleetwood Mac-esque group in that their songs cover a range of styles depending on which band member is featured, and I am partial to Brittany Hölljes's "witch" songs (whose music videos tell an ongoing story). They're apparently working on a musical(!), so look out for that if you enjoy this piece.
"Silver Springs" by Fleetwood Mac. A bitch ALSO loves mess, and it doesn't get messier than Rumours, perhaps best summed up by John Mulaney as "an album written by and for people cheating on each other." (One of many observations of his that aged poorly!) This live performance from The Dance may be the best version of Stevie Nicks' wistful-scornful breakup anthem, in which it is clear Lindsey Buckingham truly will "never break away from the sound of the woman that loved you". I distinctly remember first hearing Stevie do this on VH-1's Storytellers, which she verifiably didn't, but I chalk that up to her being a witch. My memory is fine! Get off of my lawn.
Superliminal soundtrack by Matt Christensen. Yeah, I'm putting a whole album on here; arrest me. I have not personally played Superliminal because I have a decade-old MacBook that would burst into flames if I even thought about it, but I watched a playthrough of it while doing my master's degree and got really emotional about the ending. (Yes, it is a puzzle game.) The soundtrack is my go-to for background work music now, and if you also enjoy it, you can buy it directly here. I also strongly recommend playing the game if you can (or else watching a no-commentary playthrough), though if you're really pressed for time, you can also watch the devs react to a 23-minute speedrun.
I don't know who to tag in these, but if you wanna do it, just do it; the police can't stop you.

Back in 2020, I remixed The Living Tombstone's song "Long Time Friends". This Thursday, quite in the spirit of the title, this long time friend of mine is coming back once more, for a YouTube premiere! With a brand new mix and a video of it's own, hear it better than ever before, on the 12th at 17:00 GMT/UTC (9:00 PST)!
