Journalists covering a demonstration in Moscow by wives of Russian soldiers were arrested by Putin's police.

Some 20 journalists were detained by police in central Moscow on Saturday at a rally of Russian soldiers' wives calling for their men to be returned from the front in Ukraine. Independent Russian news outlet SOTA reported that 27 people were taken from the demonstration and transported to the nearest police station. Reuters news agency said one of its journalists was among those detained while filming women laying red carnations at the tomb of the unknown soldier in the shadow of the Kremlin's walls in central Moscow. Moscow police did not comment on the raid. "Journalists should be free to report the news without fear of harassment or harm, wherever they are. We are committed to covering world events in an independent, unbiased, and reliable way, in keeping with the Thomson Reuters Trust Principles," a Reuters spokesperson said in a statement. The demonstration was organized by a group called The Way Home, which urged "wives, mothers, sisters and children" of reservists from across Russia to come to Moscow to "demonstrate (their) unity." The Moscow prosecutor's office said Saturday that the rally had not been coordinated with the authorities. Authorities warned against calling for and participating in unauthorized demonstrations. For several weeks, wives of currently mobilized Russian men have been campaigning for their husbands' return from the front, as well as opposing further mobilization. 

In Russia, an "unauthorized demonstration" is one which does not support Putin and his fascist policies.

One man's immortal bravery in the face of homicidal totalitarianism. This is 'Tank Man', the unnamed Chinese man who stood in front of government tanks after the Chinese government massacred its own citizens in Tiananmen Square between June 3 and June 4, 1989.

As a result of his stand, the tanks responsible for wholesale slaughter were unable to pass.

The United Kingdom is debilitating. By every metric, the country is losing its economic prestige, its people are becoming poorer and infrastructure dilapidated.

And I want to contribute to that pipeline of doom but with a spin of my own because I see a different kind of decline. A decline in personal liberty, civil rights and human dignity in favor of absolute centralization of political power within the UK’s establishment.

This story begins with a secret order issued sometime in January 2025 when the UK government sent a request to Apple to build an open back door access to all encrypted content of any Apple user anywhere in the world. In that request, Apple must give the UK government the ability to bypass Advanced Data Protection feature, which allows Apple users to use end-to-end encryption for their iCloud backups.

With this secret order, the UK government will be allowed to read encrypted content of any Apple user – including citizens and residents of other countries anywhere in the world. It doesn’t matter if Apple is based in the UK or not. By law, any company with a market presence in the UK, can be forced by the government to hack their own users.

Through a post-apocalyptic Berlin. Walking on an allee surrounded by fence, every face appearing towards me could be a maniac. The only face that appeared was a guy in tattoos. That. And he was not a maniac. He smiled and walked by.

The first time I didn’t trust the city was when my bike got stolen. I thought the worst thing, before 2024. Protests against AFD started. AFD - alternative für Deutschland. Better they were calling DFD - Deutschland für Deutsche. Far rights. Chances are they win the elections, and then gay Italiens like me or whatever we are, have no chance in this country.

here are still detractors (with great numbers) who would prefer the country move to more a socialistic form of economy. These detractors, by and large, are communists. They are liberal leaning patriots with an idealism that many in the past have borne tyranny and in no instance has it promoted total freedom. On paper, few can argue that the socialist utopia sounds nice. Everyone working for everyone, pulling their own weight, and sharing alike the bounty of the land. It's hardly a step forth from the way the Native Americans lived in the days before European settlement. The trouble with socialism (beyond what some consider at the outset to be an unfair and stifling dogma) comes with its application. Even more so than with free enterprise, the rich get richer and the poor never have a chance for advancement. Greed sets in among those in the highest levels of government, and eventually, rather than all working for all, all are working for a few. With capitalism, at least in its strictest form, everyone has an equal shot.

Before we go any further, let's define capitalism. It is, basically, the existence of a free marketplace, where people may set their own prices for their services, and the market will determine whether or not a product or service can be sold for that price. The government, except in extreme cases of corporate monopoly, stays out of the way. The theory behind the system says that products and services will naturally balance due to supply and demand. The more people want a service or product, the higher the price (with factors such as production costs and advertising of course playing a part). The lower the demand, the lower the cost. And, of course, the rarity of a product or service will also play a gigantic role in setting the cost. With this system, the stage is set for competition. This, in turn, helps drive prices to their lowest possible set point, while encouraging a system that allows everyone a chance at the brass ring. The smartest, the hardest working, the most ingenious these people will rise to the top in a capitalist society.

On the other hand, let's look at socialism. In a socialist system, the government provides the country s basic needs and requirements. It sets the price on health care, food, schooling, housing, and almost everything else. Most often, these basic needs are free of cost to the general population. Those who do no work whatsoever are provided for just as well as those who work the hardest. There is little chance to become rich in a socialist economy, and little incentive to be the best or work the hardest at anything. The idea that everyone is equal is taken to the extreme. Except, of course, this becomes perverted in almost every socialist nation. The government reaps the reward of the populaces hard work, and the politicians (who may or may not be in office due to a general election) become the only example of wealth in the country.

As a business man or woman, you owe whatever success you might have first and foremost to the fact you live and work in a capitalist society. Your advancement will be as high and far as your merit will take you. Your ideas and speech are free, and the only thing holding you back is your own limitations. At the same time, the UK that we live in is the most generous country on Earth. Through government programs and, more importantly, private charities, we take care of those less fortunate better than any other economy. This is why capitalism will continue to prevail, and free enterprise will continue to be the world leader in progress and innovation. The alternative is enslavement and ultimately fascism. Never in human history has has a communist state allowed free speech. Democracy although deeply under threat by academia, leftism/Marxism andunbridled government backed totalitarianism and the deep state will never take our freedoms away. The planned jabber jabber demic held all the traits of communistic contro if we understand the under Communistic regimes or fascism since Lenin and before have been responsible for close on hundreds of millions of deaths and as much as half a billion thats since before both World Wars and that is a drop in the ocean compared to the unrecorded slaughter and genocide inside countries you may never even have heard of.The media only share what they want you to know.
