I'm still too distracted to write so here have a list of YJ-cast centric fics that make me froth at the mouth

Kon-centric recs:

I Want It That Way (1990s Tim/Kon) by WynterSky / @wynterstars -- A revamped, 90s-style Superboy origin story with added Lex Luthor AND a lil bit of 90s Robin for spice and flavor. Honestly, this whole series is so elite -- goes hard with the Superboy mythos + angst PLUS the third fic leans hard into the secret identity shenanigans in a way that'd make Miraculous Ladybug jealous. The first fic splits its attention between Tim and Kon, but the latter two are solidly Kon-centric

one plus one (easy math) by connerdrakewayne / @comphetkoncass -- Cassandra Cain and Kon go to a gala together. I'm always a sucker for a good Cass + Kon friendship. This one's very short and sweet, and it gets the job done -- 10/10 would read again

a timeline can be a haunted house by connerdrakewayne -- post-universal reset Kon angst + terrible coping mechanisms! This one goes so hard I read it three times. Tbh this author has an excellent handle on Kon as a character in general, so I honestly recommend just checking out their whole fic stash

Tim-centric recs:

Top 10 Secret Identity Fails by @havendance -- Tim's new English teacher is his on-again-off-again superhero teamup Helena Bertinelli (aka the Huntress). This one's just fun, okay -- the whole thing reads like it could be straight out of Tim's 1993 solo run, plus I love the dynamic between him and Helena. Overall just a very cool vibe

only the dead stay 17 forever by Sky_Dust (couldn't find their tumblr sorry) -- Listen, I've really been restraining myself here, because I realize my love for time-travel bullshit is not universal, but I genuinely couldn't not include this one. This bad boy is a Tim-centric time-loop featuring a seriously unhinged Tim -- definitely a darker tone, but I can't stop rereading it

Bart-centric recs:

reflections on respawning: a gamer's uncertainty by merils / @mamawasatesttube -- Bart has a hard conversation about his death and subsequent resurrection (feat. Kon) man, I just vibe with this one so hard. It's such a thoughtful take on Bart's more contemplative side, while still managing to keep his personality intact

the backlash to the backlash to the thing that's just begun by @kermit-coded -- trans/gnc impulse my beloved <3 also we get some funky Max & Bart bonding, made much rawer and more real by the fact that it's the 90s and nobody knows what they're doing. Again, feels like it's straight out of Bart's solo series

Cassie-centric recs:

you and I, we are more than just this armor by @suzukiblu -- KonCassie bonding + gender feels. They're both so trans in this, and the author does a great job of really digging deep into their complicated feelings (both about gender and about each other)

Team recs

I'm all yours but you're all mine by suzukiblu -- Poly Core 4 Soulmates AU! Essentially, everybody gets their 'soulmark'/soulmate-identifier (not really, but the best word) right when Kon wakes up in his pod, and because Superboy hasn't really made his big splash yet, they misidentify their soulmate as Superman; this is an issue mainly because 1) they're all 14-15 and Superman is roughly 30-ish, and 2) by the time this fic takes place, Superman is pretty verifiably dead. Currently in-progress, but this is such an interesting and fun take on the usual soulmates trope. I pinky promise you won't regret reading it

Love, Not Loved series by @popsunner -- hoooomygod this series makes me cry literally every time I read it, it's genuinely one of the most realistic representations of grief I've seen on AO3. Basically explores the general fucked-up-edness of pretty much the whole YJ Core 4 Squad dying one by one, with each fic focusing on a different funeral (complete with survivor's guilt, regular guilt, and just plain old complicated feelings). We get Cassie feels, we get Tim feels, we get Bart + Kon feels -- it's the whole shebang. Don't worry -- there's a happy ending eventually, but you def gotta work for it. This series beat me up and stole my lunch money and I'd happily do it all over again

Lost the Last Piece of Me by InsaneTrollLogic / @last01standing -- YJ Core 4 Animorphs AU! I'm sad to say I've never read the original Animorphs series, but every single Animorphs AU I've ever read has been such high quality. Unsurprisingly (I love this author, okay), this fic is no exception to that rule. Solid alien-invasion plot, character driven, and the world-building is explained well enough that even a newbie like me can understand (feat. some TimKon, but it's not the main focus)

Ikonoclast by anantipodean (couldn't find a tumblr) -- Tim and Kon get sent to an alternate reality that's almost (but not quite) like their own. This one's just fun for me -- I love the TimBart buildup and the worldbuilding on the other Earth is a funky time. Also, the other universe's Tim is goth and absolutely cannot stand mainstream-reality Tim, and I find that extremely funny for some reason

Day 7 - Roommates/there was only one bed/creators choice

"Okay! This is the last box from the truck!"

"What is it?"

"I dunno, it's Bart's, and I can't read their handwriting."

Tim walked over, looking at the cardboard box in Kon's hands, tilting his head to read the label.

"Oh, it's like clothes and blankets," he said, pointing towards the stairs.

"Okay, where is Bart anyway?"

"They went to get dinner," Cassie responded, looking over from where she was rearranging the living room, with occasional input from Tim, who was setting up the wifi router, because that was the most important thing.

"Of course they did."

Kon carried the box into the bedroom, setting it down against the wall and then walking back out, over to Tim.

"What do you need, babe?"

"Uh, I don't know. Ask Cassie," Tim responded, barely looking up.

"How about you go start assembling the table, lord knows we'll need that first."

"Yes ma'am."

Kon followed orders and walked into the kitchen, finding the kitchen table that had been disassembled when it was delivered. He found the toolbag and sat down, starting to piece it together.

The four of them, Tim, Kon, Bart, and Cassie had all decided to move in together, and after much debating, they ended up settling in San Francisco, because they were close to base, and Kon and Tim were both going to a college there. The apartment they got, mostly thanks to Tim, was huge, two floors, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Now you may be thinking, three bedrooms isn't really enough for four people! And you're correct, however, three of those four were hopelessly in love and were all snuggle bugs, so all they needed was a big bed and they were set. Cassie was not involved in this relationship, but still loved her dumb best friends, and was more then happy to move in with them when the invitation was offered.

"Hey! I'm back with food!"

A burst of red light zipped through the kitchen and take and bake pizza boxes were left on the counter in its wake.

"Bart!" An alarmed shout echoed from Tim, followed by a dull thud.

"Bart!" Cassie's was more of an amused complaint.

Then the red streak was back, plopping itself down in Kon's lap.

"Hi!"

"Hello angel," Conner replied, amusedly, he set down his tools and wrapped his arms around Bart, hugging them tightly.

"Watcha working on?"

"The table. Cassie wanted to be able to actually eat like civilized people."

"Does she even know us?"

Conner laughed, kissing Bart's cheek.

"Why don't you start unpacking the dishes?"

"Okay!"

Bart jumped off, and ran away to snag a box. They started unpacking them at what seemed like a hazardous speed, but Kon knew they were being careful. He just returned to attaching the base of the table, making sure it was tight before standing and setting it up, placing the chairs around it and then gathering his tools.

"Aww, hey, guys come here!" Cassie called.

When Kon and Bart entered the living room, she was in one of Tim's boxes, pulling out pictures and other decorations.

"Look at how tiny we were!" She exclaimed, holding up a couple pictures.

The first few were of them when they had just started Young Justice, just the four of them. Bart, still absolutely tiny, was even smaller, they looked like an actual child next to Kon in all the photos.

"And look at this one!"

She held up a photo of Tim and Bruce, both in formal wear, Tim with his hair recently cut short for the first time, and properly fitted in his first suit.

"Oh my God."

Kon snatched it, staring at tiny Tim. "Babe! Look at you!"

"Kon," Tim whined, grabbing at it.

Bart snatched it and zipped across the room.

"Look at the tiny closeted baby," Bart cooed, grinning with glee.

"Oh like you were any better!"

"And besides, he had literally just came out?" Kon said with a laugh, walking towards the box to look at more photos.

"Yeah as trans! Not as gay though."

Tim lunged and snatched it. "If you two are done in the kitchen, why don't you go start unpacking your clothes and stuff."

"Okay!" Bart zipped over and jumped up on Kon's back. "Let's go!"

Kon laughed, carrying Bart upstairs. They got through all of one box of Kon's clothes before Bart kept pulling them on and causing Kon to simultaneously get annoyed and laugh. About the time Bart had four or five of his shirts and hoodies on, Kon grabbed them and pinned them to the bare mattress, kissing them and then pulling off a shirt, kissing them again, and then pulling off one more, doing this until he reached Bart's original shirt.

"You're forgetting one," Bart said with an impish grin.

"No."

They both looked up to Tim who was standing in the doorway, shaking his head.

"I knew you guys wouldn't get any actual work done."

"I think he's jealous," Bart whispered, grinning still.

"I'm not- no. Can we just actually unpack?" Tim asked, sentences a little clipped, less amused then he usually was by their shenanigans.

"Baby, are you stressed?" Kon asked, not moving from his position, holding Bart down.

"A little okay?"

"Okay."

So they obeyed orders and started nicely unpacking, hanging up clothes or putting them in the dresser, while Tim went about making the bed, getting the sheets all smooth and nice and arranging the obscene amount of pillows. By the time they had gotten mostly done with Bart's stuff, they had gotten bored and zipped downstairs to annoy Cassie.

"You guys have too many clothes," Tim said with a huff, looking at the mostly full dressers.

"You say as if my clothing is not going to be stolen by both of you. Besides, most your clothes hang up."

"Yeah, you're right."

"Come here, Tim, take a breather."

Kon reached out, grabbing Tim and pulling him with his TTK, until he could physically grab his wrist and pull him down onto his lap.

"It'll be okay. We don't have to unpack everything now, yeah? All your books and stuff can stay in their boxes for the day, we can do those tomorrow."

"I just don't like things feeling incomplete," Tim sighed out, glancing away.

"It'll be fine. It'll give you something to do when you're struggling with insomnia," Kon promised, kissing him, a hand sliding up under his shirt, fingers brushing over layers of scars hidden there, two particular scars far more important than others.

Tim sighed and pulled away, plopping his head down on Kon's shoulder.

"I'm tired."

"I know."

Conner gently rubbed his back, resting their heads together.

"What else absolutely needs done?" Conner asked.

"The bathroom, and I need to get my clothes out so they don't wrinkle even more."

"Okay. I'll go do the bathroom, you do your clothes and then we should eat."

Tim nodded in agreement. He pulled away, kissed Conner lightly and then sliding off his lap, turning and starting to pull clothes out of boxes, and hanging or folding them as appropriate. Kon made his way into their bathroom, finding the one box of supplies for it and starting to unpack it, putting all the appropriate supplies in their places. They all had their various bathroom routine type things that were in little travel type bags, that he just set on the counter and left alone for now.

He got done before Tim, so he went to the kitchen and turned on the oven.

"Watcha doing?"

Kon jumped and looked over at Bart who appeared next to him.

"Starting dinner."

"Oh! Good I'm hungry."

"Bart, you're always hungry," Cassie said, walking in.

"I knowwwww," they whined, dramatically throwing themself at Kon, who laughed and easily caught them.

"I vote after dinner we go get some groceries," she said, looking at their barren fridge.

"Why don't you take Tim with you?" Kon suggested. "He's getting pretty stressed. Bart and me will stay here and finish unpacking the kitchen."

"Is he okay?"

"I think so, I dunno, I didn't press him too much."

Cassie nodded. "I'm gonna go unpack my things, don't destroy anything while I'm gone."

"Okay."

"We won't!"

Bart squirmed until they could slide out of Kon's arms. "I'm gonna go set up the PlayStation."

So Kon was left alone in the kitchen. He waited for the oven to heat up and then put the pizza's in. Tim came down at some point, unsurprisingly wearing Kon's previously discarded hoodie. He went and curled up with Bart on their huge sofa, Kon smiled at them softly, standing in the doorway and watching as Bart played The Outer World's, their head against Tim's chest, whose arms were wrapped around them.

"Watch your left," Tim murmured softly, nose pressed into Bart's hair.

"I see it," came the equally soft response.

Bart only ever seemed to slow down like this when Tim needed them like this. Kon knew bursts of energy would be coming later, but for now he'd enjoy this sweet moment.

Dinner was eaten with an episode of Queer Eye playing, and then Cassie managed to convince Tim to go shopping with her. As promised, Bart and Kon cleaned up from dinner and then finished putting away all the kitchen supplies. They then took the enormous amount of cardboard moving boxes to the nearest recycling station. When they got back to the apartment, they curled up on the sofa to wait for the other two to get back, turning on some evening crime show just for kicks.

Later that evening, after groceries got put away, and everyone had taken showers and gotten ready for bed, Kon found himself with the task of catching Bart, who had in fact, as predicted, gone spastic. Tim was already in bed, granted he was just working, but at least he was in bed. Kon tried to catch Bart, who kept phasing past him, for almost five minutes before he finally just immobilized them with his TTK and then scooped the limp speedster up, carrying them upstairs to their room. Cassie was in there, talking to Tim. Or more of talking at Tim.

"Konnnn," Bart whined, yet wasn't trying to struggle, Kon knew this because he was no longer having to restrain his datefriend.

"It's time to go to bed," Kon told them, gently laying them next to Tim.

"Only if Timmy comes to bed with us," Bart whined, flopping over against Tim.

"Bart, you know that's not fair to him," Kon said softly.

Bart just pouted up at Tim, getting in the way of his work until he had to look at the ginger. He just chuckled.

"I'll try."

"Yay!"

Cassie gently shoulder bumped Kon as she passed.

"Night guys! Don't get too wild!" She called with a giggle, waving over her shoulder.

"Night Cassie!" They all called together, watching her leave and shut the door.

Tim closed his laptop as Bart snuggled under the covers next to him, and Kon pulled off his hoodie, waiting for them both to be ready before flicking off the lights and getting in next to Bart. There was no hesitation to squish Bart in the middle of their cuddling.

"Night, Bart, night Tim," Kon murmured softly, giving them each a kiss.

"Night Kon," they both murmured back, more tired then either realized.

Kon just chuckled, throwing an arm across Bart until his hand was resting on Tim's waist. He heard Bart's breathing soften as they drifted off to sleep, but Tim stayed tightly curled around Bart for a while, indicating that he was still awake. Kon didn't try talking to him, knowing that this happened a lot and eventually he'd drift off or get up and go find work to do in another room. Kon did eventually drift off to sleep, but his dreams were full of nightmares and he kept waking up.

Unsurprisingly, one of the times when he woke up, he found Tim missing, but he didn't go searching, just moved to pull Bart closer to him again. The speedster immediately snuggled back into him, not disturbed at all by the shift in position. And Kon just slipped back into sleep as easily as he had woken from it.

The next morning he found that Tim had replaced Bart, snuggled up against him, face on Kon's bare chest. One arm was over his stomach, his leg over Kon's. It didn't seem very comfortable but Tim was sleeping peacefully, his cheek squished up by Kon's pec.

Kon chuckled to himself and carefully, using his TTK, moved Tim so he was laying on the mattress instead of his own body. He slipped out of the bed, leaving Tim with a kiss on the head, and then he headed out after grabbing his phone.

Downstairs, Cassie was already making breakfast. She glanced up at him and rolled her eyes.

"Kon, am I going to have to deal with you coming down shirtless every morning?"

"Maybe?" Kon grinned at her. "Where's Bart?"

"Out for a run, I think."

Kon hummed, pouring himself some coffee, then walking past Cassie and stealing a piece of bacon.

"Hey! Asshole!"

Conner just laughed and stuck his tongue out at her. She shook her head.

"How was the first night in the new bed?"

"Oh it was fine, I guess? Nightmares."

She hummed sympathetically and glanced over at him. 

"Did they others-?"

"I think Bart was out of it, but Tim was gone a lot."

"Checks out, I woke up at one point and saw some lights on out here, so he was probably working."

"Was anything else put up? He might have been unpacking," Kon asked with a chuckle.

"Didn't notice, just came right in here."

Kon and Cassie chatted for a bit while she made breakfast, just about random things while Kon checked all his phone notifications.

After a bit, Bart returned from their run, hot and sweaty and carrying fresh donuts. They just kissed Kon on the cheek, hip bumped Cassie and disappeared upstairs to take a shower. And when they returned, Tim was stumbling after them, rubbing his eyes tiredly. 

"Hey! Good morning, handsome," Kon called, reaching out to tug Tim to him, pulling him close and pressing his head against Tim's chest.

Tim just rubbed his eyes and leaned into him, reaching a free hand up to run it through Kon's hair. He mumbled something that vaguely sounded like good morning, and Kon just chuckled.

"Bart, baby?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you get him some coffee?"

Bart quickly fetched Tim his lightly sweetened coffee in his favorite Nightwing mug, and Tim kissed the top of Kon's head before moving to sit at the table by himself, rubbing his eyes. Bart and Cassie quickly plated breakfast for everyone and they all started eating together for maybe the last time in a while. Cassie would be starting working here soon, Kon and Tim's college started in the next three weeks, and Bart was still trying to decide what they'd be doing. But eventually, adult life would catch up with them, and they'd be no better then their mentors.

So they took it nice and slow and enjoyed their breakfast together.

The rest of their day was slow and easy and was mostly just more unpacking. They met the other Teen Titans at the base for dinner, and spent all evening with them.

And the next morning, when Kon woke up to the sound of sirens, Bart and Tim were on the other side the bed, tangled together, peacefully sleeping through the wailing. Kon just smiled and got up, quietly changing and then slipping out so he could jump off their balcony, going to save the day, as Superboy always would.

Dr Alto Clef: When word of an entire town fading off the map reached the foundation, Alto Clef was amongst the staff sent to investigate. Clef was the one to find Riley, a barely living heap of skin and bones hidden in the husk of an old home. Riley explained the town's situation through the hysteria. He was the only living resident remaining in the town. After further discoveries about Riley and his town, Clef requested he joined the foundation and took him under his wing, later appointing him to the position of his assistant. He reguards Riley as a son, Riley denying any possibility of him reciprocating the father/son relationship. The two are extremely close, knowing secrets about each other that most at the foundation do not.

Dr Simon Glass: Dr Glass was the first to properly speak with Riley when he was brought to the foundation. Riley confided in Glass the trama he experienced over the 4-5 years that his town had fallen apart. Simon quickly took to the boy, considering him to be a younger brother/son of sorts. Riley has increadible amounts of trust and respect for Glass, seeking comfort even beyond that of what he professionally does.

Dr Benjamin Kondraki: From the moment they met, Kondraki and Riley have had a very childish relationship. The two tend to bicker with and make jabs at eachother constantly. Despite this, Kondraki and Riley are close and increadibly protective over eachother. Riley affectionately refers to Kondraki as "Kon", while Kondraki refers to him in similar sentinentals as "Rye Bread".

Dr Jack Bright: Bright has the tendency to "adopt" any new young staff, so Riley is his son weather he wants to be or not.

Dr Iceberg: Iceberg is the first proper friend Riley makes at the foundation. The pair quickly grow close, spending nearly all free time with eachother. The pair pull pranks on their fellow staff, often getting themselves in trouble. Outside of Clef, Iceberg is the first to discover that Riley is trans, as well as a reality bender. He never mentions this to anyone. Riley ends up developing romantic feelings for Iceberg and is unable to act on them before his death.

Daniel [N/A]: Daniel was one of Riley's close friends when he lived in Nevada. The two went to school together since they were children, both developing feelings for one another and entering a relationship. Daniel was killed in the downfall of their town.

Milo [N/A]: Milo was a close friend of Riley's and the cousin of Daniel. He regularly joined in in their shenanigans, starting them himself more so than not. Like his cousin, he was killed in the events that destroyed their town.

Evan Rose/SkullDog: Evan was the older brother and main caretaker of Riley. Shortly before the events of their town, he was taken by a nearby facility (toxic ex-workers of the SCP foundation), disgusied as a power plant, the work place of their late parents. Evan was forced into experiments and transformed into SCP [REDACTED] Aka SkullDog. Despite his altered form, Riley is still familiar to Evan. Because of this, Evan protects Riley as much as he can. Upon Riley and the town's discovery, Evan is taken with him and made an SCP. After discovering Evan's protective nature towards Riley, his regenerative powers, and incredible strength Evan was used out in the field to capture other SCPs with Riley as his "handler".

If DC were to reintroduce the other Supergirls (Linda, Mia, Matrix) in Rebirth, how would you want them to go about doing it?

Uhhhhhhhhh Well, my ideal scenario would be that Linda would still be family to the Danvers -- a cousin to Kara through her adopted parents on Earth. She’d still be an artist, maybe working on becoming an art teacher, and as such would be sort of the Cool Cousin Kara could go to who is close enough to her age to be relatable but also old enough to be a mentor when Kara needs it. Basically have them be very similar to the the way Linda and Pre-Crisis Kara were in the tail end of Supergirl (1996-2002). She would not have powers naturally, but much like Lana Lang’s Superwoman or Natasha’s Steel, she’d take over for Kara when she’s gone or injured a few times through a super suit, working for the DEO.

Matrix I would have be a Bizarrogirl in the same vein of the current Bizarro on Red Hood and the Outlaws but actually maintain Kara’s intelligence. Her “Bizarro form” would be more similar to Mae’s natural Matrix form, though, and for a while she would be rather unstable. She would be a part of the wind up to Lex’s Superman’s ultimate fall from grace, her coming to help Kara and the Super Family  to lend some more Hubris on top of Lex’s hubris. (Side note, I would also have this be Kon’s re-entry to the Superfamily with similar origins and they would act more like siblings). She would feel more “natural” in a more mature human-like form like the original Mae took on -- taller and more super-model ish than Kara, and since she’s free of any memories or experience prior to her creation, she is something of a fish out of water. This would help parallel Kara and show Kara just how far she’s come from back when she first came to Earth and very much was the one who was the fish out of water. While Mae initially tried staying with the Danvers like Kara, it ultimately was not a good fit for everyone and Mae actually moves in with Clark and Lois for a time instead which would ultimately lead to her taking on the Kent farm with Kon and Krypto and pretending to be Clark’s sister, Mae, who is renting the house from them. 

Mia would be the most complicated, honestly, since I have very specific feelings about Mia that I’m very attached to, such as the fact that I see her as most likely a trans woman given some of the fantheory backed evidence like her Kryptonian name being “Cir-El”, which is a whole other discussion for another post. So I’d want to incorporate all of that, but the long and short of it would be that she’s the daughter of Lois and Clark, sister of Jon and Chris fudc from the unknown future date, sent back due to time traveling shenanigans which may or may not involve Booster Gold Senior returning to main continuity hard to say these days, but I would actually put a twist on this. She would be inclined to work with her father and mother more and stay with them, but to prevent Timey Wimey Undoing things, she ends up working more closely with the Steel and Superwoman family, which is where she would grow a close relationship with Traci and Natasha. She wouldn’t be a permanent fixture in her teenage form, but that would ultimately be for the better as a baby Mia would be in the certain future.

Tim Drake

Sexuality Headcanon: Gaaaaayyyyy. This boy is SO gay. He may have tried having girlfriends, but it’ll never work out. Give him a boyfriend though, and he’s found his partner for life.

Gender Headcanon: Man. Not much to say beyond that.

A ship I have with said character: TimKon. TimKon for LIFE. Tim could be 180 and Kon would still be with him.

A BROTP I have with said character: It’s kind of between Tim and Bart (because of the ‘90s comics), Tim and Cassie, and Tim and Jaime. Actually may as well say Tim and his whole team, because the guy has a talent for getting really close to his friends to the point where his friendships are unbreakable.

A NOTP I have with said character: Tim/Cassie and Tim/Steph. Neither Cassie or Steph have ever really fit with him in my opinion, and it always felt kind of shoehorned.

A random headcanon: Tim is a giant gaming nerd and when he can get away with it he’ll play his video games on the computer in the cave because of the giant screen. Also, he’s a fan of the old manga series Banana Fish and was introduced to it by Jason (Jason has the full series and loaned it to him), and the two of them will gladly spend hours nerding out about the series or debating fine points of it and who they would consider for fancasts.

General Opinion over said character: lol I love this kid. He needs to sleep more and not work himself so hard, but he’s a good kid. Also, I think the League under his leadership when he gets old enough would end up REALLY tight-knit and would be even more of a force to be reckoned with.

Cassie Sandsmark

Sexuality Headcanon: Biiiiii. Said it once, I’ll say it again: she is WonderBi. She is one of the bi-est bis to have ever bi’d. The only way she could get more bi is if she had her costume redesigned to incorporate the bi flag.

Gender Headcanon: Woman. I haven’t put too much thought into it, so I usually see her as a cis woman, but I wouldn’t be bothered by seeing her as a trans or intersex woman either. Cassie would still be Cassie regardless.

A ship I have with said character: Whoo boy… This is a tough one, mainly because most of the time I haven’t seen character interactions between her and another character that feels like it’d just fit. That, and personality types of most of the others just don’t feel like they’d fit with her.

I guess if I was going to go with her being with anyone regardless of sense the possibilities would be Cassie/Raquel (ish, pretty sure Raquel would want someone more willing to step up to be a parent to her son though), Cassie/Zatanna (maybe), Cassie/M’gann (if in the YJ-verse M’gann matured some and made an active attempt to get past her abusive tendencies), Cassie/Raven (which could actually be pretty cute), or– and this one is really off-the-wall– Cassie/Simon. (For those of you who don’t know who Simon is, he showed up toward the end of the pre-N52 Superboy comics and the writers were starting to set him up to be Kon’s equivalent to Jimmy Olsen in Smallville.)

A BROTP I have with said character: Definitely Cassie and Raquel. I love the idea of the two of them bouncing off each other and getting into trouble.

A NOTP I have with said character: Cassie/Tim or Cassie/Kon. I just don’t like her with either of them. Every time I’ve seen either situation it has felt incredibly shoehorned, and she deserves an organically-formed relationship over being a plot device.

A random headcanon: 1) Whenever she says “I’ve got this” things are about to go wrong, either hilariously or disastrously. 2) One time when she said “I’ve got this” she was in the kitchen trying to help prepare for a party. It ended in the contents of the blender exploding to coat the ceiling, one cake catching fire so that it was a cake with a giant ball of flames on top, the faucet for the sink breaking off so there was water streaming through the air like a firehose, half-a-dozen raw eggs dropped and smashed on the floor, and a bag of flour exploding due to being pulled open with too much force so most of the kitchen had a coating of wet flour sludge by the end of it. 3) She was temporarily banned from baking for a month-and-a-half as a result.

General Opinion over said character: She’s a riot and deserves so much more attention and good writing. I used to be kind of ‘meh’ about her, but as time has gone by I’m really starting to warm up to her. I’m really hoping she gets some better treatment with Young Justice season 3.

Eddie Bloomberg

Sexuality Headcanon: Bi? Pan? He doesn’t really care, he likes what he likes and he’s not going to stress over it (though he will wreck anyone who tries to give him that ‘So you’re basically straight/gay’ BS).

Gender Headcanon: Before today I would have said ‘man’ hands-down, but after talking with @weirdnonsensefandomstuff I’m kind of leaning toward demi-boy. Part of it is that thanks to his shifting he technically falls outside all cis/trans/intersex categorization (because he could pretty much shift to have whatever he wants), and the other part is that weirdnonsense brought up the fact that it might lead him to question and investigate his gender (a point that makes a lot of sense to me). She put it pretty well when she said “90% guy, 10% unholy fires from hell,” and when it comes to Eddie that actually makes a ton of sense. So: demi-boy. (Though to make things easy he might just go with saying he’s just a guy most of the time.)

A ship I have with said character: DEVILFISH. I love Eddie being with La’gaan more than I can put into words.

A BROTP I have with said character: It’s between Eddie and Jaime (because Bugbutt and Sizzleshorts) and Eddie and Jason (because I can imagine all sorts shenanigans the two of them would get into, including blasting music from the Batmobile– no Bruce was not pleased when he found out).

A NOTP I have with said character: Eddie/Rose (I don’t like the way she tends to use people) and Eddie/M’gann (just no thank you).

A random headcanon: Eddie actually really likes how he looks with the red skin, horns, white hair, and tail. While he didn’t actually look bad before his shift, he’s convinced that he looked absolutely horrendous and secretly (or not so secretly) doesn’t want to go back to it. He’s also really glad to have the tail because he’s got a bad habit of getting into situations where he needs three hands and his tail helps immensely (and he’s not opposed to wearing jewelry on it if he’s going to do something like dancing for La’gaan, because the boy knows how to dance– yes, up to and including belly-dancing– and he’s not opposed to accentuating certain details while he’s at it).

General Opinion over said character: Like Jaime, he is the sweetest cinnamon roll to have ever cinnamon-rolled, he is my child, and I will defend him with everything I have. He doesn’t get anywhere near enough attention and deserves more love.

Hunk Garrett

Sexuality Headcanon: Tbh I have no idea. I just know that whoever he’d be with he’d be one of the sweetest boyfriends ever to them.

Gender Headcanon: Man. Haven’t delved too far beyond that, so he could be cis, he could be trans, idk.

A ship I have with said character: It might be pretty random, but Hunk/Rax. Hunk/Shay is pretty cute too.

A BROTP I have with said character: Hunk and Pidge all the way. I love the idea of the two of them hitting their stride and working in tandem on a problem, and being an absolute nightmare for others to go up against– particularly with their combined tech skills.

A NOTP I have with said character: Hunk/Pidge or Hunk/Shiro are the main ones I can think of. Hunk/Pidge because more often than not I see Pidge being written as a girl in those cases and I’m so set on NB Pidge that most of the time I cringe or avoid fics when I see girl Pidge. Hunk/Shiro because I am firmly of the opinion that Shiro should not be in a relationship with any of the other paladins because they’re too freaking young for him period.

A random headcanon: Hunk is Hawaiian, is fluent in the language, and nothing can incite a rant from him faster than someone acting like his culture is a gimmick for tourists. He’s a pretty laid-back guy, but after about the 5,000,000th time of having to see or hear about fake-y luaus or how his home is a ‘great vacation destination’, it pretty much destroyed his patience for that BS.

General Opinion over said character: He’s a great kid who deserves more love than he seems to be getting for the time being. He seems to be written off a lot as the one who’s ‘all about food’ just because he’s the big guy, nevermind the fact that he’s intelligent, resourceful as hell, and amazingly strong (in one episode the guy had his heavy-as-hell bayard in his hands while Coran was on his shoulders and he was still able to fire his bayard without it affecting his aim in the slightest). He just deserves better tbh.
