A DA DTIYS Entry | Good Omens | “It’s Killing Me”

Hello again! I’m really sorry it’s been a while, and I hope this isn’t coming too late 3=)

This is a recent DTIYS submission I made for a good artist friend of mine off DeviantArt, to recreate her PHENOMENAL Good Omens artwork, cultivated from the song “It’s Killing Me” by DC Talk, which fits great!

And a couple of weeks ago I finished Season 2… and it makes this harder to look at 😢😭

This is my first piece of GO fanart, and this was ineffable fun to draw! It doesn’t beat the original but it was fun recreating it in my slightly inconsistent cartoon style (actually my first time drawing a character from a side profile :3)

Mega thanks to my wonderful friend (TheTie-DyeJedi) for introducing me to GO, cuz I’m a fan of it now and really enjoyed watching and talking about the series with her. Gotta read the book next, and can’t wait for the next season! Hopefully it’s got a happy ending!!

My birthseason is always sth superspecial to me and I know many many ppl who are also Taureans :) But it's more than that. It's earthconnection. Being in nature.The Moon. Moving my body. Also taking enough space to rest. Resting is so important. Enyoing life. Percieving and feeling with all of our senses.

I wish all of you a blessed spring time, full of abundance, joyous moments and laughter. And also calmness in moments where everything may feel too much. To be earthy is to be grounded. Earth is my essence and the root of my essence. Trees are my teachers and ancient,ancient masters. The forest is my true home and I oftentimes feel the calling to go to the forest on my own. I love moving my body but I also enjoy stillness and resting a lot.Creativity is my flow.

My stubbornness can be an obstacle but it can also help me to reach my ambitions. Sometimes I feel lethargic , wanting to wrap myself up in a cocoon of blankets and diseappear into coziness :') On the other hand I love exploring, adventures, unexpected journeys, travel, ancient wisdom, ancient knowledge, etc. (sag rising lol). I am so multifaceted and so thankful for that. Although it's really not always easy. But as ,taurean' characteristics I would def describe myself as very open for feeling with all senses, touching things, scents are very important and also sensuality, movement, bodily action.Reminding us of fertility, of rebirth and death and the flow of the cycle of life. Everything is interconnected. I am Earth. We all are. Maybe Taurean are here to remind others of this earthy root connection that lives within all of us.

I’m getting more interested in the ancient mythologies of tree-spirits. With our so-called enlightened take on nature, we’ve lost so much of our connections to nature. Disrespect. Destruction. Disregard.

Perhaps finding some sense of ‘being’ and agency in trees, humans might treat them better. What do you think?
