Started the week off strong with a positive & successful day at work. Then pushed hard after work. I usually avoid Monday evenings at the gym, but I relaxed before work so I knew that I would feel guilty if I skipped after for no reason. Skipping for recovery is one thing but I wouldn’t have had an excuse. I got over some of my gym fears and used the cable areas even with crowds of youngins all around 😂 then also found an empty spot in the classroom for myself. Short chest shoulders tricep workout. incline press chest pressstart at a weight you can only do 8 reps on then move the weight down one and add 2 reps it sucks by the time you get to the lightest on the stack same for tricep extensions I was doing 18 reps when I got to that weight (swipe over) then push press and a poor attempt on the shoulder press machine couldn’t lift after the shoulder press. I think it’s time we change the name of this exercise from skull crushers to lying tricep extensions. They are called skull crushers because the bar theoretically comes to your forehead and if you go too far, you’ll hit your head 😂...😢. - However, bringing the bar to the top of your forehead will not only place added stress on your elbows but the range of motion is not optimal for your triceps. When you bring the bar slightly behind your head, you will notice less pressure on your elbows and you will also increase the range of motion of the exercise to further stimulate your triceps. If you’re still training at home and don’t have access to any equipment, you can try tricep extension pushups. Yesterday was push day! Picture 2 is an example of why I don’t take pics or videos while working out 😂 I just can’t get it right and takes too much time trying to find a good angle or get the full view 🤣 cardio was amazing yesterday too.
