Khelif is not transgender, but has a disorder of sex development (DSD), which causes some females to have XY chromosomes and blood testosterone levels typical of a male.

Yet they can't be bothered to even add a community note, but when it came to light that Musk gives his conservative buddies literal N-Word passes he adds a special new community note instantly. Not to mention that OP is endorsed by Musk himself. He bought Twitter solely as a political instrument. Truth Social showed him that he can't create. He can only take something with an existing userbase.

Transphobes saying they know when someone is trans has the same energy as my parents saying they can tell when I'm lying.
Like yeah, maybe you sussed it out a handful of times and now picture yourself a licensed lie detector, but because you severely underestimate how often I actually lie, you don't realize I've, plenty of times, also lied to your face and gotten away with it

unwarranted Cis Opinion but I'm getting really uncomfortable w people responding to bathroom bills by posting pictures of trans men like DO YOU WANT THEM IN WOMEN'S BATHROOMS
bc like. no they're men. they should be in men's bathrooms unless that feels unsafe. but. it really feels like it's not helpful to lean into the idea that seeing someone presenting masc or being read as a man in a women's bathroom means You're In Danger.
like I know several butch women and NB ppl who are really scared around being on T or getting top surgery bc they're not men and they don't want to be in the men's bathroom, and in that circumstance stuff like growing facial hair or reading more androgynously can be really fucking scary when people are being primed by propaganda to be on edge and hyperreactive to anyone who doesn't look like their idea of a Cis Woman.
and I'm not laying that at the feet of the people saying "hey uhhhh trans men are men and don't belong in women's bathrooms" bc it is not their fault. it's the fault of a concerted effort to make it difficult and dangerous to be trans or substantively gender nonconforming in public.
but at the same time idk I guess it just worries me cause sometimes it feels like "you fools! you are worried about this group of trans people bc you think they're the Lurking Danger of Men In Bathrooms? WRONG! the Men Making You Feel Afraid In Bathrooms are actually THESE trans people!" when in fact neither of those groups using the fucking bathroom is a problem. just piss and mind your business. people need to go where they need to go.
anyway this country is a hot fucking trash fire that somehow accelerates its descent into open fascism more every day so it's all super good and normal. so don't take this too seriously tbh cause it's somewhere near #2535654476457899009765 on the list of priorities for Queer Discourse right now when the fucking human rights commission is actively rescinding protections from trans people. Please ignore my gibberish.

People know Earthspark being cancelled is a rumour with no evidence, right?
You’re all not seriously mourning a show that isn’t even dead yet, right?
People understand that projects are often greenlit and go into production several years before we even hear about it, and that Hasbro has an incentive to keep a show they have toys for going for as long as possible, RIGHT?!

my sources for shuichi being trans:
girl voice (in the original jp - voice is noticeably higher and more feminine sounding than any of the other boys)
general appearance (prominent eyelashes, fairly soft features, pretty androgynous esp when you pair with the jp voice, at certain points if ur insane enough it kinda looks like he has a binder outline)
wears a hoodie to the beach
gets really weird about having to go into the girls bathroom (obvs for different reasons but if you view those lines thru a trans lens then it honestly makes a lot of sense)
depressed and suicidal (not explaining)
im trans and i said so

How dare you speak on gender, the thing that pervades everyone's lives. You must be a TERF because *checks notes* only TERFs talk about trans people? I mean I get what the anon was going for I guess, but that's a hell of a reach.
I don’t think it was a reach, I think it was entirely dishonest bait. I don’t think it was even slightly honest.
My post about historical misinformation had just reached a group of TERFs who were leaving mocking responses on it, and so this anon coming at the exact same time is hardly a coincidence. A TERF sent that ask to me, I assume to try to make one of these things happen:
I start to think trans people are hysterical and ungrateful and anti-feminist, so I stop defending trans equality and justice;
I desperately deny being a feminist or talking about women, so they can point to me as proof that people who support trans rights don’t care about women and/or that women are cowed into submission to the Trans Cult™;
My followers turn on me for TERF Accusations
All of those presume a really narrow view of how people think about trans rights, queer rights, and feminism. I could have just ignored it (EVERY time one of my posts about historical misinformation reaches TERF tumblr I get a handful of anon asks ranging from “bait” to “telling me I’m just like Hitler” (genuinely, I got that once)), and I could have just deleted this, but there IS a really important point to be made that on tumblr there seems to be this view that feminism is suspect because only TERFs care about it. And it seemed like a good venue as any to put a little bit more trans-affirming feminist contemplation out in the world.
But also like lmao yeah it’s hardly like any of us can escape gender in our lives, so thinking about it is Productive for everyone.
