Back at it again

I swear my family gets joy in taunting me for my love of Hangman

Just today the three of us (dad, ma, and I) were in the store and I had a hang nail I couldn't quite get off my finger.

Annoyed, and slowing down while my parents walk in front of me, I mumble "I have a hang nail"

My father (who thinks he's quite funny), doesnt even turn to look at me and says "You have a Hangman?"

Ma laughs hysterically at my frustrated self, and I hiss "Hang NAIL" to save what little dignity I have (which isn't much)

A two-for-two when I ask "What is with your obsession in taunting me for that?"

Followed by a knowing look from my mother that simply says: what-is-your-obsession-with-Hangman-bitch-?

There's something hilarious about how so much subsequent media has positioned Vampires and Werewolves as, like, binary opposite entities, and then you read Dracula (1897) and realize that wolves are that guy's preferred solution to every problem. You'd say something to Dracula about "ah yes, werewolves, vampires' great eternal enemies," and he'd just be like "you mean my subcontractors?"
