veb + anticipation

"So, are you excited?"

Valtteri turns his attention from the ping-pong battle he'd been observing to the person who has sidled up beside him, leaning back against the wall.

It's Sebastian. Of course it's Sebastian. He seems to be everywhere this weekend; wherever Valtteri looks, there's Seb, either talking to the organizers, ribbing his competitors or reminiscing with old friends. Actually those last two usually seem to happen at the same time.

Now, he's looking at Valtteri, a glimmer of mischief in his eyes. It's a familiar look on Seb, one that he's seen around the paddock more than a few times over his career. He's not quite sure what it means in this moment though.

"Of course," Valtteri says. He takes a quick sip of his drink, lets his eyes trail back towards the ping-pong table. "I'm always excited about racing."

"Ah, and here I was thinking you Finns didn't get excited."

Valtteri doesn't need to look at him to know he's grinning from ear to ear, pleased with himself.

"Do you remember- that press conference, you, me and--"

"Yes," Valtteri interrupts, suppressing a smile. "I remember. Very funny, Sebastian."

Sebastian hums, still pleased. "Good."

They settle into a comfortable silence for a few moments, watching as Travis tries to convince Mattias to go another round of ping-pong, winner takes all. Valtteri's not exactly sure what it is that they're betting.

There's a commotion on the other side of the room; someone's climbing onto a table, and a glass falls to the floor and shatters. Valtteri smiles, amused, and Sebastian laughs next to him. He almost expects him to leave, to go over to join in on-- whatever it is that's going on.

But he doesen't. He stays right there, and turns to look at Valtteri again. Their eyes lock and there's a spark there, in Seb's eyes, that catches Valtteri's focus.

"So you are excited," Seb says. It's not a question this time, just a statement. And-- is he closer now, than he was before?

Something swoops low in Valtteri's gut; a growing feeling of anticipation. He nods. "Yes."

There's a smirk on Seb's lips ow, one eyebrow raised. "About the racing," he says, voice pitched low and leaning even closer.

This isn't new, exactly. Seb's always been a flirt, and it's not the first time Valtteri has been on the receiving end. It is the first time in a while though, and Valtteri would be lying if he said he wasn't interested.

He regards him, lets his eyes wander just a little. If they linger on his lips for just a few seconds longer then that's-- well he's sure Sebastian notices, and from how his tongue peeks out it doesn't seem like he minds.

Valtteri shrugs and takes another sip of his drink. He keeps his eyes fixed on Seb's.

"Amongst other things."

Judging from the look on Seb's face, that seems to have been the right answer.

hello everyone! i've recently decided to start a david dastmalchian youtube channel because i had noticed a lacking of david compilations, along with compilations for a few of his characters, and so i have decided to make videos for almost all his characters (that i can find content of) and make funny little meme-y compilations or even maybe scenepacks for editing!

i'm currently working on an abner krill video at the moment, which is taking like years to edit cause my phone is a piece of shit but you guys can request for any sort of video or scenepack if you want! i also may do other types of videos if i find the time and/or motivation!
