the gaang...as an indie rock band....? kataang, where aang's only way of confessing his feelings is by writing katara a love song....? 😏
💳💥💳💥💳💥💳💥
i present to you, excerpts from my new one-shot: Well, My (Not-Yet) Boyfriend's In A Band
⋆---––——––---⋆ ⋆ ---––——––------––——––--- ⋆ ⋆ ---––——––--- ⋆
Aang winced, shielding himself with his drumsticks as he walked into Sokka and Katara’s garage almost a full half-hour later than their agreed-upon rehearsal time, as if the two thin pieces of wood could protect him from the combined side-eye of his friends. Even Toph, who regularly rolled in ages after rehearsal had started with a tea in her hand from Uncle Iroh’s, was shooting him a glare, which is how Aang knew he’d really messed up. He ducked his head into the entranceway, silently cursing himself for being just a bit too tall for the garage doorway.
Katara shifted from her position against the opposing doorframe, where she had been judgmentally leaning as she echoed the look in Toph’s eyes. “Aang…”
He threw up his hands in preemptive defence, words tumbling one after the other from his mouth. “I know! I know, I know I’m late,” he tugged his high-top converse off awkwardly, stashing his skateboard in the usual crevice he leaned it against. “But I swear, it’s for a good reason.”
“It better be,” Toph scoffed. “I blew off homework to come here.”
“Toph, you wouldn't have done the homework either way.”
⋆---––——––---⋆ ⋆ ---––——––------––——––--- ⋆ ⋆ ---––——––--- ⋆
“I can feel you glaring at me, Zuko.” Toph smirked, then turned back to Aang. “You’ve been rustling around in your pockets for a while now, you sure you’re not stalling for a good reason on why you were late?”
“It is a good reason. Look!” Aang finally managed to tug out the crumpled piece of paper from his cargo pocket, unfurling it for Toph to see.
Silence filled the room, and then, in a tone laced so much with sarcasm that it was hard to tell when the tone stopped and the sarcasm began, Toph said flatly. “Well, itsounds like a piece of paper, but I assume you’re referring to what’s on the paper. Way to taunt a blind girl, Aang.”
“I-I didn’t mean, I-” Aang stuttered awkwardly, his cheeks flushing an embarrassed shade of pink.
⋆---––——––---⋆ ⋆ ---––——––------––——––--- ⋆ ⋆ ---––——––--- ⋆
“The only problem,” Aang added, “Is that the songs can’t be covers. We have to write something original. The idea of the music festival is to spotlight new young voices in indie rock.”
The others exchanged sidelong glances. “I’m sure that we can write something.” Sokka said with finality. “How hard can it be?”
Hours later, Sokka was sprawled on the couch, head stuffed between the dove grey cushions as he groaned at their utter lack of progress. Katara was perched on the arm of the couch, biting her lip as she tried to run through lyric ideas in her mind. Toph was (very un-subtly) preparing for a nap, curled up in the room’s vintage armchair, while Zuko paced with a hand on his chin, lost in thought.
Unsurprisingly, the five of them had discovered that writing original music does, in fact, require both skill and inspiration, something none of them felt they had at the moment.
⋆---––——––---⋆ ⋆ ---––——––------––——––--- ⋆ ⋆ ---––——––--- ⋆
“What about a love song?” Zuko suggested.
“Ick, oogies!” Sokka yelped from his position next to the mini fridge as he pulled out a pair of sodas. He moved as though he was going to throw one to Toph, then thought better of it and just gently placed it next to her as he sat.
“You have a girlfriend, Sokka.” Zuko pointed out as Sokka settled next to him.
⋆---––——––---⋆ ⋆ ---––——––------––——––--- ⋆ ⋆ ---––——––--- ⋆
“Aang, this is, this is great!”
“I like it.” Zuko nodded.
“Would someone please put text-to-speech on?”
“Let me read it out loud.” Sokka said, apologetically. “My bad, Toph."

May I humbly request some NY hc’s?
**it’s fine if not dw**
idk if they'll be terribly interesting? but i'll try lol!
He has an affinity for all of the animals, plants, just nature related state symbols (e.g. beavers, eastern bluebird, nine-spotted ladybugs, sugar maples, etc. etc.), and probably loves learning about all of them.
He loves horses, and while he likes watching horse racing occasionally, he doesn't find the sport too terribly interesting. He probably talks about horse racing with someone like Kentucky though sometimes. He gets his mild interest in it from the horse racing in his own state (such as in places like the Saratoga Race Course as an example).
Is relatively decent at keeping plants alive, all things considered. The only person he really trusts to take care of them if he's not there is New Jersey. No one else gets to go near his plants. He likes to name them, too, sometimes.
Despite how much he makes fun of New Jersey's state nickname, he still trusts him the most when it comes to plants and gardening.
Not very original, but he has some pet pigeons.
He used to have a black cat named Void that would perch on his shoulder all the time.
Has snapped at multiple others to remind them New York state is not just the city. Sometimes though, he seems to forget this himself, much to his own dismay.
His answer on when 'upstate' starts seems to change semi-frequently, if someone asks for his personal opinions about it.
He gives Vermont Stewart's cards (gift cards you can only use in the store and those 'one free ____' ones) sometimes.
Adding on to that, he also sometimes will have a milkshake from them with him when he goes to the table. It got snatched once by Florida who then drank it and he still holds a grudge about it.
Occasionally swaps books with Washington, but will anxiously wait the entire time it is not in his possession.
There are times where he finds California extremely pathetic (can have different meanings, though. There are times where it's the 'soggy, sad kicked looking puppy' kind of pathetic or the 'you literally fucking suck, wtaf is wrong with you' kind of pathetic, among others).
Sometimes he'll make very spicy food and before he goes to eat it, walk up to others that don't like and/or can't tolerate spice and ask them to smell it, just to laugh at their reactions.
He likes playing sports. Ones he like are tennis, air hockey and volleyball, among (some very obvious) others.
He gets self conscious sometimes playing more active sports, or doing active things like running if he knows people are watching him.
He doesn't like swimming, be he does know how to.
He likes to go out into less populated parts of his state just so he can sit down and listen to nature.
He'll try to 'forage' in forests upstate sometimes, just so he find plants to take pictures and video of so he can show them to New Jersey to see if he likes them and ask what they are.
He used to skateboard because he knew it pissed other personifications off. He doesn't as much anymore, but he still has a decked out looking skateboard (it's black with things all over it. He decorated it himself and is very proud of it).
He knows multiple languages.
He finds the fact that it only snows for about a day or two in November and December in certain parts of his state now very depressing. He hates the fact sometimes it doesn't even snow until January. He doesn't like snow much, but he misses it when he doesn't see it as much as he used to.
His favorite drink is water. Cold, preferably.
He likes old/vintage stuff. He doesn't like calling them that though, because "It felt like this was the newest shit just last [speaks New York] week!".

Skateboard P's Threads: Decoding Pharrell's Fashion Philosophy
Pharrell Williams: musician, producer, entrepreneur, and, yes, a fashion icon. His style is as infectious as his beats, a unique blend of streetwear, vintage finds, and high-fashion pieces. This blog is your one-stop shop for dissecting Pharrell's ever-evolving fashion game.
Part 1: The Early Days: From Virginia Beach to Bape
Pharrell's early style was heavily influenced by his Virginia Beach roots and the burgeoning streetwear scene. Think baggy clothes, graphic tees, and the ever-present bucket hat – a signature that would follow him for years to come. As his career progressed, Pharrell embraced Japanese labels like Bape, adding a touch of high-end streetwear to his wardrobe.
Part 2: The Billionaire Boys Club Era: Building a Brand Identity
Pharrell co-founded Billionaire Boys Club (BBC) in 2003, a brand that perfectly captured his playful and irreverent approach to fashion. BBC tees, hoodies, and snapbacks became staples for fans who wanted to emulate Pharrell's unique style. This era saw Pharrell experimenting with bold patterns, mix-and-match prints, and a healthy dose of accessories – chunky chains, statement hats, and those ever-present sunglasses.
Part 3: Hats Off to Pharrell: The Power of Headwear
No conversation about Pharrell's fashion is complete without mentioning his hats. From fedoras to bucket hats and beanies, Pharrell has donned them all. He uses hats not just for practicality, but as a way to elevate an outfit and add a touch of personality.
Part 4: Pharrell's Collaborations: A Matchmaker of Music and Fashion
Pharrell is a master collaborator, and this extends to the world of fashion. He's worked with major brands like Adidas, Chanel, and Moncler, injecting his signature style into each collection. These collaborations are a testament to Pharrell's ability to bridge the gap between streetwear and high fashion.
Part 5: Pharrell's Fashion Legacy: More Than Just Fly
Pharrell's influence on fashion goes beyond just trends. He's challenged traditional notions of masculinity, embraced gender-fluid dressing, and consistently pushed boundaries. Pharrell's message is clear: fashion is about fun, self-expression, and having the confidence to wear whatever makes you feel good.
Stay Tuned!
This blog is just the first verse in Pharrell's fashion story. We'll be diving deeper into iconic Pharrell looks, his most memorable collaborations, and how he continues to inspire a new generation of fashion enthusiasts. We'll also explore the philosophy behind Pharrell's style – how it reflects his music and personality, and how it can be a guide for anyone who wants to express themselves through fashion.
So, grab your best hat and your boldest threads, and join us as we explore the world of Skateboard P's fashion!

Maeklong Railway Train Market
On a warm and bustling evening, my friend and I decided to make the most of our hour and a half of free time in Sathon, a vibrant district of the city. Not wanting to waste a moment, we hailed a Grab car to take us to our destination. As we approached the area, we could already sense the energy in the air.
Upon arriving, it was clear that we had chosen the right spot for some excitement. The streets were teeming with activity, and the constant stream of motorcycles added to the buzz. The atmosphere was electric, with the unmistakable thump of loud music resonating from various establishments. The lively ambiance was intoxicating.
We began to explore our surroundings, passing numerous bars and tattoo shops that lined the bustling streets. The neon signs and lively chatter of patrons spilled out into the streets, creating a kaleidoscope of colors and sounds.
Our first stop was the main market. Initially, we found only a few clothing shops that offered basic, commercial clothing. But as we ventured deeper into the market, we stumbled upon the food section. It was a treasure trove of culinary delights from various cultures. Feeling adventurous, I decided to try crickets, octopus with spicy salad served in a plastic bag, chicken breaded strips, and soju. The flavors were an explosion of tastes, and the atmosphere around the food vendors was both chaotic and exciting.
Tumblr media
Although sushi was plentiful, we hesitated to try it, as it seemed to be left in the heat for hours. Instead, we moved on, eager to explore more of what the market had to offer. Toward the end of the market, we encountered vintage shops and even a few weed shops. Some of the vintage stores had a westernized feel or offered high-end designer items, but the overall vibe was still cool and inviting.
We decided to take a break in the market's carpark area, where a group of local boys on skateboards approached us, asking for a lighter. Attempting to bridge the language barrier, we engaged in a short-lived conversation in Thai, which resulted in laughter and smiles.
As we continued towards the front of the market, we reached a wide street flanked by bars on both sides. It was clear that they were in competition, each one featuring a live band playing at full volume. The music was deafening, reminiscent of the famous Khao San Road, and the energy was infectious.
As we prepared to leave the market, we passed by more bars, clothing shops, and tattoo parlors. One particular bar caught our attention, or more accurately, our ears. The loud, raw sound of a live rock band beckoned us inside. It was a riveting experience, and we couldn't resist the urge to stay and enjoy the show.
The band played their hearts out, and we joined the crowd in cheering and dancing. The band were crazy, some of the guitarists jumped over the fence onto the road and started playing in the middle of the road despite several cars having to drive around them. It was a night filled with unexpected adventures, new flavors, and a vibrant cultural experience that we would remember for a long time. Sathon had revealed a side of the city we had never seen before, and we couldn't have been happier with our spontaneous decision to explore this lively and eclectic neighborhood.
