okay so i need to go insane over Siffrin's relationship with theatre as the story goes on. I have very specific feelings about it as someone who is an actor and relates to him heavily. Now the first thing that came to my mind when they started referring to the loops as a show, their family members as actors, their lines and the blocking, was that it was a lot like actual shows. You do the same things over and over and over for up to sometimes up to years if you are doing it professionally. Weeks to months if not. Between rehearsals and that, it gets tiring. if even the slightest thing deviates, it seems like its all gonna go wrong. Siffrin is right. Their life is a lot like a show, having to do countless versions of the same thing, that are only slightly different. Remember your lines, remember your blocking, and you know everyone elses lines by heart as you keep going too. Another thing that really gets me about it is that no one becomes real to him at a certain point. Just actors in this never ending show. This is something a lot of actors struggle with if they don't interact with their castmates out of the theatre, especially when you are actually doing the show and not rehearsals. You can begin to just see them as their character. Hell, I forgot a castmate's name for the longest time and just remembered his character's name.

This normally happens when actors just. stop making connections with their cast, if they ever did. And this all started happening after Sif just started treating it as a show and nothing more. Say the line, do the thing, encore, curtains close. They stopped forming relationships with his fellow companions and began just thinking of them as characters. Anyway im normal about his relationship with theatre.

My ramblings about the Al Ghul family

1. I really hate the fannon (and sometimes cannon, fuck you grant Morrison) concept that Talia doesn’t love Damian or any of her other children (because yes she has children other then Damian), because just no? Thalia has never been a bad mother, I could add countless panels of proper portrayals of her and Damian because she does love her son.

2. Talia is not a fucking rapist. And I hate that it keeps getting pushed and brought up, especially when it’s used in fannon as a way to further push forward Bruce and Selina’s (or whoever else) relationship. She loved Bruce (again I could find countless panels.) she isn’t just a cold violent woman with no regard for her loved ones.

3. While I’m fucking at this, none of the Al ghul’s are as heartless as the fandom likes to pretend they are. Are lots of their actions criticizable? Yes. Are they being violent for the sake of being violent? No. For one thing, they’re literally ecoterrorists! Ra’s especially so heavily cares about the earth and the amount of damage humans have done to it

4. While I’m at this I hate the fannon concept of “well the Al ghul’s made Damian kill animals because they didn’t want him to be attached to anything” because that’s bullshit. There’s more than one portrayal of the Al Ghul animal sanctuaries, how they’re the ones protecting endangered species of animals. I’m not entirely sure where the panels are from but there’s plenty of them of Ra’s and his dog (it might be a wolf but an animal along those lines) and how much he loved them

5. Stop calling Damian “feral.” For one thing it’s weird to call any 10 year old boy that, but it just feels even weirder with Damian when his character is so heavily demonized already (by writers and readers)

6. It’s ok to have complex relationships!!!!!!!! Not everything is going to be straightforward, especially with a family like the Al ghul’s, no one expects for the Wayne family to have black or white relationships so why aren’t we doing the same for them?

7. Damian doesn’t have to give up the other half of his family once he goes to live with Bruce, he’s allowed to miss his family, he’s allowed to miss the familiarity of it, he’s allowed to love them, he can disagree with their actions while still loving his family. It’s part of why I don’t like people taking the Al Ghul name from him, that’s why in almost all my posts I use all three tags for his name (Damian Wayne, Damian Al Ghul, and Damian Al Ghul-Wayne) most of that is just so you can see it from whatever tag you follow but still, he’s allowed to keep that part of his life

I’ve been meaning to ask… we get a lot of queer couples (canon or headcanon) and a lot of queer characters in the SFTH-verse, which is wonderful, obviously. Is there some ship (couple, throuple, anything really) that you personally headcanon as QPR?

Honestly I don’t really know- I have some ideas, but I find it hard to distinguish the difference platonic and romantic feelings as is anyway, and relationships in general kinda confuse me lol

(I’ve also never personally been in a qpr or known anyone who is, but I do understand what it is :))

With that being said, off the top of my head I would say Snowdrop and Violet (fanon name for Sam’s elf character) from Divorces And Teddy Bears- I think they’re actually a ship but I could totally see them being a qpr too! (I might be remembering wrong though) (with the fic that the name Violet is from, violet uses she/he and Snowdrop uses they/them, so in my mind they’re already pretty queer :)) they seem like that relationship dynamic would suit them

The Oompa Loompas from West End Big Boys (who are kind of similar to Snowdrop and the other elf character) would also be a cool qpr headcanon I think. Idk what it is, they seem like they have that vibe? I can’t quite remember that scene 100% accurately but from memory they have a lot of trust in each other. I could write an essay on those characters honestly, there’s so much subtext there!!

David and Mr Steven/jim (fanon name) from milkman could also be cool- they used to work together (if im remembering the quote right) so they have a history. I know they’re a ship people like, but a qpr might work and even be better :) idk really :)

I really think that those two flatmates of the Bus protagonist are in a qpr- we don’t see them for long, but just their VIBE and the way they talk about things… idk, I really think that they fall into that dynamic :D

I’m having a hard time thinking of more (my brains a little scrambled right now sorry) but I think that there’s so so much potential for qpr’s honestly!! I feel like there’s been some I’ve thought of before but I just can’t remember haha

I’d love to hear ideas for more of these though :D (or if I’ve messed up anything about qpr’s be sure to tell me!! <3)

I have a lot of synesthesia, so I'm gonna share my experience with certain colors and stuff with fable smp (images will be used for colors)

In my little mind, Wolf is a less saturated yellow, not too bright but still bright enough

But with recent lore its changed to something like this?

Jamie is a brown-green, a kinda cozy color, and definitely has a coffee like feel

Momboo is very pinkish? But usually i Invision some glitching over it with the current state, but thats just lore related, usually its a general pink with some green undertones

Easton is a light orange-y? A bright but calm color, and also quite simple, though sometimes i envision some greens with it

And finally for this post:

Oceana, shes blue, not a too complicated color, just a dimmed blue that represents her struggle i guess

This is my personal experience, and if you have any asks about other characters, please do share! I enjoy sharing how i see it myself, i also have ideas of how they sound, for example how Icarus sounds like rounded spikes to me, so please ask if your curious ^^

Big pet peeve personally is when people change up the way they perceive you moments after finding abt smth like a disability. I do it too so i’m not immune but i try really hard to treat them the same. I can’t wait to get mobility aids and see how many of my friends drop me!! Yay.
