I was tagged by @missredherring and sure I did it earlier this week. Could I have come up with a new WIPs because my mind is never quiet? 🤐

1. Weddings 101 with Dieter and @angelofsmalldeath-codeine - We’re going to finish it one day or at least the next chapter. Also AO3 link.

Kissed by the Sun - I had an idea that Oberyn Martell was a son or descendant of Apollo and he pissed off Venus (Aphrodite if ya nasty) and was barred from his soulmate being able to interact with him other than his voice. Because…..I read too many Marcus A fics that kept referencing Roman gods. 🫡 AO3 link

6. Din’s in the Neighborhood- Modern Din AU that has him meet on OFC DV survivor post divorce. Also Grogu is a human boy and we have Finn/Poe. There’s also Johnnie Mae and Luke that are just together? No one’s asking and I don’t think either of them would given an answer. 😆 So many cameos and randomness, so little time. Side notes: I gave Din tattoos, Obi-Wan is a children’s author and there’s a Jedi Law & Order show. Also AO3 link.

7. Fire and Fury - Pero and Calista’s story likely has two more parts. Complete with smut, more fighting, a bathtub (I promised @avastrasposts that one) and they’ll get their revenge! But what happens after? Also AO3 link.

8. Hands of God - This could be a long one shot or I might have to split it up. The Marcus Acacius fic that @soft-persephone and @megamindsecretlair “gently suggested” that I write. I did start it. 👀 There will be some infidelity, plots, murder and a coup. Also a dash of smut just for seasoning. And maybe a subby Marcus A? Can I do it? Only time and Marcus’ sash will tell.

9. Front Office Adjunct - One of two Dave York fics. ☺️ Dave blackmails on OFC into working for him. Things appear to be stacked in his favor, but are they? This one is a slow burn one, enemies to lovers maybe? Also espionage, murder, violence, smutty and bad behavior. Just bad. 👀🤫 AO3 link

CPN : Times when 🔴🟢 rumor house post was telling the truth ✨

yes. this is a clickbait title and i’m trying to deceive you. lol. because everything is fake and nothing is real. these are instances when posts from this source caused people in the fandom to go 👀 because of something they pointed out or a moment they mentioned that came true later on. the truth factor depends on who is looking cause you might argue that it’s all interpretation and we’re all looking at things with a bxg bias.

I’ve been wanting to make something like this since I started making cpn posts and it’s finally here! I also want to have a place where I can point people to when asked why turtles love LRLG so much. Aside from the individual posts I’ve been making recently and the usual: ‘they shared stuff that seem to come true.’ answer, I think it’s good to have actual examples to those who wanna know. Enjoy! 🍂

1. Tencent Starlight 2020 Ring - This is my favorite and have a bit of a bias because it’s one that made me believe LRLG is on to something. So the rumor goes that GG gave something to Web to keep in his pocket when he performed. Web was holding onto it in his pocket to keep him company and for him to not be nervous. Web is confident when it comes to performing especially when it comes to dance but this one— he was only singing. We CPN that it’s a ring because of the close-up videos & photos of Web’s pocket and it doesn’t help thatwhen GG made a douyin later in the day, he was no longer wearing his ring. THE FACT THAT A FAKE RUMOR HAD TO POINT IT OUT for us to notice is just one of the biggest BJYX mystery. How did that person know. 👁👄👁

20 minutes before Wang laoshi got on the stage

WLS: What should I do now, I'm nervous (He didn't seem to be nervous at all)

2. Birthday message - In Oct 2020, a post was released that included a part that said : birthday means you are 1 year older and someone told you to grow up slowly. So this is apparently GG’s message to Web. Aside from it being sweet, it’s a coincidence that a year later, the YBO birthday message we all CPN was written by GG had a similar message:

When you are tired, I hope you can skateboard freely in an open venue, or ride a motorcycle across the wild. All this time, you just have to be a better version of yourself, and that better version of yourself is defined by you. Everything is cool, grow up slowly, in seconds, become yourself. Happy birthday to 24-year-old @UNIQ-王一博.

It makes me so soft thinking that this is what GG wants for Web. Even if the whole world is pushing Web to grow up so he can do all the things, GG is there to remind him to enjoy life while he is still young and don’t rush. This is also an example of LRLG having a ‘message’ before we see it related to the boys. It added weight to the CPN that GG wrote the birthday message, sometimes clues take a year or more to be “verified”.

3. Douyin overload - 12/19/2020, a post was shared where it said : WLS pouted his lips while looking at his phone. Oh, he was recording for his douyin, I thought he did something else. He recorded so many videos, some are for work and some are for fun. Well if you were here that time you’ll know that Web posted did posts lots of DY’s for the month of December. being the DY King that he is. This is a bit late but we don’t know how late submissions are posted on the weibo account from when it’s initially passed. However this is another clue that LRLG is indeed someone who works closely with Web.

4. Clip on earrings - another favorite of mine! HAHAHAHAHA! Talked about it here before and more weight was added because it was once mentioned in an LRLG rumor in 2020. A year later from when the photo @ OOL set was taken in 2019. This is a case of when we read it back then we all thought it was a cute head-canon that had no place in reality. Then GG shares that photo in 2022 and we are all going “ wait a minute.... hmmmmm...” It’s why LRLG continues to be a favorite because of stuff like this 💪🏻

WLS bought a pair of clip-on earrings and said those were for XLS. Will XLS wear clip on earrings? I guess WLS will keep it for himself after all.

5. BYH crew closeness - In Sept 2020, it was shared that CX ( Chen Xiao who is his co-star in BAH ) was teasing him about XZ. It implied that they were that close for CX to know about the relationship. It seemed fake at the time because the two did not seem close during the wrap. However now we know in 2022 from the BTS, the words of the director and the fact that Web gave CX his favorite skateboard that they are friends. They just don’t advertise it. It’s a reminder to not rely on what you see outside. These two never interacted on Weibo but turns out they became friends during the shoot.

WLS was embarassed, he took his phone and left, CX laoshi was also there, he held back his laughter.

After he got back, CX laoshi asked him “Got taught a lesson?"

WLS: "It wasn't right to drink a mouthful of water though" (Although he was taught a lesson, I still wanna say that, please take that happy look off your face a little bit)

CX laoshi "Drink a mouthful but don't let himsee you do it"

WLS: "I don't know where he saw that"

(I didn't pay attention to what he drank)

CX laoshi "Then take small sips, there maybe a spy here"

6. VogueFilm collaboration clue - Source is this BXG who looked in to this in detail. On 10/15/2020, LRLG post had a line that said keywords like vest, good condition and ‘this cooperation is perfect.’ At the time, people didn’t know what LRLG was talking about and who Bobo is cooperating with. Then on 11/2, Vogue released the first teaser for Bobo & Zhou Xun collab for the magazine.

According to the words used in the fake material: "[The day] two people made an appointment for a movie, and the state is good as it should be" [the day], it can be seen that the shooting date is a few days before the submission date (it will not be the day before, otherwise the contributor would be [yesterday] instead of [that day]). Therefore, it is roughly inferred that the shooting date is before 10.11.

OP made lots of deduction based on Web’s schedule that the shooting was 10.10 and with the keywords said, it’s really the Vogue Film shoot LRLG was referring to. A more clear evidence tho is YBO posting a comic strip that is inspired by the VF shoot and the date written on the “script” is 10.10.

See, at the time 🍉 were not really that popular ( back in 2020 ) so people will not know if there is an upcoming magazine collaboration. This also show how different LRLG is, because they just share things that are happening and interactions they see between the boys and don’t leak any solid information about projects they work on. In this example they can easily say : Bobo is working with a really famous movie actress for a magazine to gain more clout but they didn’t. They never do.

7. YBO 🤝 XZS - There are lots of submissions that talk about their staff working together and knowing about their relationship. I won’t go into detail anymore cause I ( and other bxgs ) post lots of similarities between what these two studios post and is a “proof” that it may be true. It’s not that we’re implying the two have no money to pay for their own staff or something. Lol. It’s just that they are considered one household and their staff will overlap at some point. ☺️

8. Stage design - 11/16/20, LRLG was talking about Web supervising what visuals should be on stage for a performance. It went like this :

XLS sang, we heard when we were resting in the stage, it is not complete. I don't know anyone else. I didn't know about XLS’ activities at the time. WLS also listens to XLS’ songs, he doesn't care much.

What I want to say is the stage of Mr. Wang. The background that the staff first gave combined with the spotlights came out of that room...

WLS is not very satisfied after watching the video and he wants to add some elements, to add the moon, and to have a sense of starry sky. But there is no suitable image element, the stage effect is wrong. At that time, the staff asked whether it was necessary to have both elements? Mr. Wang said to think about it. I don't know where the inspiration came from when I came back "Can the stars be broken a little to fill this place?”

BXGs think it might be these two performance that could be what the rumor referred to. Either VOF or he was giving ideas to GG’s stage.

9. Scary Douyin post by GG - On 10/18, same day that creepy DY was shared, there was a contribution that talked about people on set doing doing a game but Web did not join. Then DLS ( da laoshi ) found him, it wasn’t said what he was looking at but DLS commented : I think it's funny, don't you think it's funny?

BXGs think it’s this DY post. GG might have sent it first to Web to see his reaction and clown him. We know Web isn’t exactly fond of scary/creepy things so maybe that’s why he didn’t it find it funny. I can only imagine him expecting some thirst trap or pretty picture and ended up with this 😂😂😂

Again, we’re operating on the assumption that this was submitted days before the actual date.

10. The handheld fan - this is a pretty short one from 9/4/2020 and it was about a small fan. It goes WLS: "You have to keep it, don't lose it" XLS: "How dare I lose it"

Yes. How dare you lose it XLS! A really cheap fan that WLS gave you back in 2018. At this point ( 2020 ) we knew XLS still kept it and it’s important. 2 years later, we know just how, during the wrap for Where Dreams Begin we see GG holding on to it and it looks like it’s broken. but he still uses it 🥺

11. White Hair - posted 8/24/20 and is a conversation where GG says “ "Mr. Wang is so handsome with white hair" ; then GG said he will pull out Web’s gray hair. It is also implied in this whole exchange that the most romantic thing is to grow old with you 😭 There was a part where GG said : "Yes, you have to wait thirty or forty years before you have a chance" ( to pick gray hair from his head ) WHAT. Are you implying you will stay together for that long? I hope they do. 🤍

The exchange reminded BXGs of what happened in the Tianjin CQL fanmeet. Where they did a skit of meeting each other after years and Yibo’s acting included him picking Old GG’s gray hair.

12. 10/4/2020, XZ’s message to Web goes :

Just enjoy the stage and be happy. "Silence in the air, silence in the woods"

This can allude to the SDC 3 finale which was the day before. What’s interesting here is that BXGs think GG got it from a poem. We know how much GG loves him poems and just reading in general. He is so romantic.

13. Finally, LRLG sometimes posts messages that communicate with the fans. It can be a small greeting or sometimes a really nice one like this example :

You guys (cpf) are the people who make they smile whenever they think of you. So I wanna say- no matter what we got through in the past, no matter what we are going through in the present, and no matter what we will have to face in the future, thanks for your efforts.

It’s little things like this that warms our hearts as turtle. because we can’t be as loud as how we want to be and to have this appreciation ( a fake one ) from the boys is special.

I will end this here and if you noticed I posted 2020 stuff. This is because 2021-2022 contributions have been talked about in detail already and had more exposure than the 2020 ones. Also this is why turtles loved LRLG because that year was pretty chaotic and we had no insight with what going on with them — so the contributions felt like hope. 🤍

I know I missed one about taking photos of the moon but I already talked about that symbolism before. Also the one with DLS / Web recording something which is allegedly the backup vocals for GG’s 2020 NYE performance.

This is really a small portion of all the hidden gems and possible truths for LRLG content. For turtles, “rumor” does not always mean LRLG. It can mean a rumor from a repo or other rumor houses ( yes there are others ) / BJYX 49 ( original ) / BJYX 49 ( new ) / those old convos we thought were fake but actually from what was then unreleased bts content etc etc. There continues to be so much bits & pieces going around regarding these two and we just wait if some of it happens. That requires another long post tbh.

I think it’s why BJYX will still be popular in the coming years and will have more & more people rooting for it. Aside from having 2 boys who are amazing being paired up, the fandom is really strong. No matter how outsiders call us delusional we actually have so much history and incidents that no other pairing has. Just recently, ZZ/WYB won a voting poll as best pairing and a LED ad of them will be screened in Thailand. Turtles weren’t even paying attention but they were so competitive and can’t bear to see the boys lose. Lol. This is how strong the Fandom is if they want to. We can even go on HS. 3 million + on weibo and more internationally and united ( well for the most part ). A drama that aired in 2019 and two people who have no public interaction for years and we’re still here. We are staying. 🤍✨

I am a 21-year-old woman who's 5'5 and with light brown hair, fair skin, and Brown/green eyes (they change color in different lighting). (he's a red head in the comics, and roughly half of the puppets were gingers, so my Steve is a red head XD )

What if Nos had survived Revenge if the monsters and redirected his revenge on XL instead of XR

Oooooo. That would be interesting. I feel like it’d be like in the Slayer but instead of the betrayal of getting sent to prison by XR, NOS would be more pissed at XL’s betrayal which results in his almost death and ruin.

I think NOS would be at his absolute lowest. He had almost died (or does and gets rebuilt (think I saw that in a fic once) and this was after a plan which was pretty successful was ruined because someone (XL and the wirewolf but mainly XL) betrayed him… dude is gonna be out for blood, metaphorically speaking.

XL would probably be in a massive amount of danger because if he got caught it would torture (a lot of angst and likely going into whump territory).

Also just a random thought, but I can imagine XR freaking out like “oh he’s not after me for once. What a relieffffff-OH MOTHER OF VENUS! HE’S AFTER XL OH BOY!”

This is just going to be a run through of what the shows are going to be like going forward with a bit of commentary about it! As this was the first show, future shows might not follow this exact structure going forward.

Detailed Overview - Will include brief Ghost Files spoilers

• Still of the Ghost Files set is projected onto a screen with post-punk music serving as filler before the show started (think of music like Rock Lobster).

• Photography and videos are prohibited! Saw some people get scolded by staff for having their phones out as well. Unsure of it was from tour or venue staff.

• Show starts at 8pm on the dot. Begins with a small skit welcoming the audience and making references to the city’s known haunted areas.

• We are shown the first episode of Ghost Files Season 2, which is at Missouri State Penitentiary, one of the oldest prisons in the US.

There’s a 3D model of the prison shown in the beginning of the episode. Unsure if it’s a miniature model or one made with a computer program. Just wanted to point it out. Major props to the team!

The episode out of context:

• Once episode ends, Shane and Ryan come out to talk about the episode with Lizzie as the moderator for the rest of the show. Conversation between the three begins.

S2 of Ghost Files is the most evidence packed season yet!

Missouri State Penitentiary was filled with groundhogs! Shane and on-site staff though they were hedgehogs at first. Photos will be included in the episode’s debrief.

Someone who watches the show went to one of the locations they visited a week ago and asked the ghost questions about them and received responses! They will be featured as evidence in a future episode.

Second episode is currently being edited.

Ryan struggles to find his water bottle (under his seat), struggles to open it, then spills some on his shirt. Shane calls him out for doing an improper wet t-shirt contest. The audience cheers!

Another prison is featured in this season!

Another house call! Ryan doesn’t know why people want then to investigate their homes.

• Audience evidence is then shown. Only three were shown, not sure if that’s the definitive amount going forward.

• Floor is then opened to the audience! Two lines, one on each side of the stage. This is the last segment of the show which lasts for about 45 minutes. I advise to get merch at this time if you weren’t able to get merch before the show. The line after is quite long.

If forced to haunt one of the already visited locations, Ryan would haunt Queen Mary and Shane would haunt the lighthouse (the one in Florina as Ryan points out).

Someone in the audience who also works for the venue gave context for the name Al; the building was originally a high school that had burned down with people inside. They rebuilt the school on top of it which led to the building becoming haunted. Al is suspected name of one of the victims of the fire.

Ryan would like to visit paranormal sites in Japan, Mexico, and The Philippines if given the chance to investigate on an international level. Also, when planning the first investigations for BFU, Ryan wanted to go to The Black House in Mexico but there were not contacts for the house, so they settled with the island of the dolls.

Ryan thinks all places have the possibility of being haunted, but not all will be super active. Shane thinks it’s all shit.

Hospitals aren’t haunted to Ryan though! Shane argues that Ryan should believe they are haunted. Shane pretends to die.

Cirque du Soleil Corteo review

What a way to end the year! After two years apart, I managed to fit in seven different Cirque shows in 2022. Seven shows but eight performances, since I was physically compelled to see Kooza twice. That’s a hell of a year under any circumstances, and in a pandemic world it feels all the sweeter.

My final two shows of the year were Drawn To Life, the new Disney resident show, and Corteo, which I haven’t seen since 2018 and was thrilled to see make its post-pan return. Initially I was going to post both reviews at once buuuut as always I have no sense of brevity when it comes to this stuff, it got ridiculously long, so it’ll bet two separate ones after all.

So! Corteo is up first, because it’s easier! Act by act below.

Opening: Oddly there was no animation - the band members came out to wave and chat with the crowd a bit (a deviation from the norm, in my experience - I’d never seen any Cirque band speak outright to an audience), and then the show kicked right off. No wandering characters like in the past, no one reading a book on the edge of the stage, no one lacing their shoes, or otherwise going about their little lives. As soon as the show began in earnest it became clear that the sound was very unbalanced. I suspect the venue was partially at fault (the XL Center in Hartford is rough) and it improved a bit in the second half, but the opening did unfortunately suffer for it. I wonder how immediately clear it was to a first timer that it’s a funeral.

Chandeliers: Maybe not quite a hot take, but a lightly warmed one nevertheless: chandeliers is kinda boring. They make an absolutely beautiful image and they’re an excellent welcome into the nostalgic world of Mauro’s friends and life experiences, but there’s only so much an aerialist can accomplish with all those beads in the way. They did the best they could with their apparatus, but David Repullés’ Volo Volando was a bit disappointing too (more on him later) and that didn’t help.

Trampo beds: Also not my fave act, but the energy is impossible to deny. Not much to say here. It’s kids jumping on the bed and it’s fun and cute! There ya have it.

Cyr wheel: Okay now we’re talking. I am just weak for this act. It’s the first proper look at the labyrinthine pattern on the stage (which I would love to figure out one day, like why is it there, why was it chosen, I love it) and the choreography is a fantastic example of Cirque doing relatively simple things with such immaculate perfection that they might as well be doing the most difficult tricks in the world. You’d still be equally impressed. Every single movement was identical between artists, everyone got a moment to shine, and with all five wheels at once the stage feels suddenly so small and intimate. And Anneaux... god. One of my all time favorite songs. Still not great in David’s hands, but good enough.  

Suspended pole: The crowd lost it for this one, and for good reason. Such incredible control. And the male angels watching the act!! I wish we got more of them throughout the show, but it was still neat to see it. Loved the guitarist’s deft switch from guitar to accordion.

Golf: I adore this little act. Short and sweet, not too clowny, Victorino’s there... what’s not to love.

Marionette: Such a magical moment. I don’t know who our Mauro was, but I do know he’s Colombian thanks to his soccer team choice during this act. I am forever impressed by how the artist manages to disentangle the lines so perfectly every time without ever looking at them.

Hoops: Out! Which was weird because she was there for Klezmer Moment, but we never got the full act. Honestly the first half felt so packed that I didn’t feel her absence even knowing how lovely her act is. There was no replacement act tonight. 

Helium Dance: We pushed Valentyna!! She floated right over to us and it was clear no one else could reach her!! It was a very magical and special moment, up there with other strokes of interaction luck like dancing with Fleur. She gave us a “thank you, madame,” waved her handkerchief, and went on her way. 

Korean plank: I love this act. It’s relentless, it keeps you guessing, it takes risks, and best of all it does so much to flesh out the broader world of the show.

Paradis: Sette Ricordi you beautiful song, you. This act was tight beyond belief. Not a single slip, complete comfort and control from both flyers and catchers, just clean clean clean. 

Juggling: Remains adorable. I can’t remember whether the August Clown always helps out with this act? Either way, he was in there with a little supporting diabolo action on this night and it was very cute. 

Ladder: I love this!! So much!! This act is what Corteo is all about. These simple, heartfelt interactions between strangers that you somehow feel you still know intimately. The little Eiffel Tower robot dogs or whatever tf they are were too cute, such a fun extra touch of magic. The White Clown took something out of his pocket and fed one a little snack. And finally my question of whether the ladder artist dies is answered: I would argue yes. When he reaches the Angel, she gives him a wrist strap and he floats away with her, up and back through the side curtain. She was waiting for him and finally he came. <333

Aerial straps duo: Similar to suspended pole and paradis, just utter technical perfection. The glitter gets me every time. The audience loved it. 

Tournik: I felt it was a little short this time around! Maybe I’m misremembering. But yet again everything was crisp and clean as could be. Honestly I can’t remember the last time I saw such a perfectly executed show, and ending with this just sealed the deal. 

Finale: Mauro leans forward in the final moments, pedaling his bike with purpose and anticipation while his friends and family wave from below. It’s a warm, bittersweet, and encouraging approach to death. Isn’t that exactly how you’d want a loved one to move on? By appreciating his life but anticipating the afterlife enough to leave it behind with purpose and optimistic eagerness? I’m emotional just remembering it. I couldn’t help but cheer the very final “alla-vi-ta!” along with the band. 

Characters: Again, I don’t know who our Mauro was but I know I liked him very much. He was another element that was done a disservice by the unfortunate sound - when you could hear him, he was saying such beautiful things to add color to the characters, setting, and story! But it was intermittent, and anytime there was music or other conversation he was difficult to make out. Same was true for the Whistler, who I think was just on dreadfully low volume the entire night. It left him with little of the command and authority the character usually possesses, and instead he came across as just some guy trying to yell. I was particularly affectionate towards Victorino this time around - he is undoubtedly Mauro’s deepest and truest friend of all. Valentyna and Grigori were fun as ever, though Grigori didn’t have much to do outside of Teatro Intimo, which I am pretty neutral about except for what it adds to the setting and feel of the show. I also very much liked the White Clown this time around - every movement was measured, sharp, and purposeful, but in a warmer way than I’ve seen him in the past. I’ve seen White Clown behave like a manager, like a guide, and now like a facilitator, and I really enjoyed it. It made for a warmer, friendlier White Clown than I’d seen before: not trying to manage the transition from life to death with clinical precision (which I have also quite liked), but rather someone easing a friend from stage to stage of life. He was playful and familiar towards Mauro, who clearly felt similarly: he complimented White Clown’s “costume” and said it reminded him of the moon. A lovely example of the details that make Corteo Corteo. 

Music: I was on the opposite side of the stage from my first viewing, which means I was with the bassist and female singer’s main spot on one side and (I believe) the keyboardist and brass player on the other. Sofia Montaño brings a warmth and accessibility to her role that I very much enjoyed. You feel very welcomed by her performance where other female leads might have felt more ethereal. David Repullés, on the other hand, is perhaps the weakest male baritone I’ve heard in Corteo. I want to give him a certain amount of grace because of the obvious sound issues - how can you fully blame a singer for his volume when it’s totally out of his control? But there were other moments where it was clear his actual vocal quality wasn’t quite what we’ve gotten from other singers. That one long note in El Cielo Sabrá was a notable example of the role being just out of his reach. He was really working for it, but cut it short, and similarly his performance overall seemed to fall a little short. I assume the band was very good, but key moments that are deliberately musically chaotic, such as Nos Dejó, were unfortunately utterly decimated by the sound quality. 

Overall: I loved Corteo, I love Corteo, I will continue to love Corteo. It’s unique and human in the most wonderful way.
