Hey! There’s a recent game on steam (soon coming to consoles) called Amber Isles. Cute dino game (please go support devs)

HOWEVER, there is a VERY bad bug right now with tails (in particular one of the more avian-like paleofolk tails that kinda looks like a butterfly, at least for me) It again could be a possible concern for those with epilepsy, if I decide to keep the game I’ll update when this is fixed. Stay safe folks!

(I’m not actually epileptic again- HOWEVER I tagged the same last time I posted like this. I’d rather people block me for posting on the wrong tag after people see this, THAN HAVE SOMEONE DIE TO SUDEP. People with epilepsy can 100% correct me on this too!)

EDIT: It seems to be a low performance thing! Still worth noting though if you do have an old/laggy laptop and have epilepsy or photosensitivity, OR it happens anywhere but the shop. Hard to tell.

Right, so I've been mulling on this one for a little bit now, n I'm not opposed to writing something for you, I'm just not... entirely sure what to write? Because the thing is, myhouse.wad doesn't actually really have anything to do with Doom as a story. Sure, Doom is important in that it's the vessel through which the story is told and one of the connections between the narrator and his dead companion. But as far as Doom itself goes, and the story about a man who was too angry/stupid to die, fighting demons and saving earth, none of that is at all relevant to myhouse.wad and its story. For all intents and purposes, Doomguy isn't actually a character in myhouse.wad. So I'm not really sure how exactly to fit him in there.

Initially I picked these two because I liked the contrast, and it wasn't until I started to write the tags that I realized how appropriate they are as a pair.

The first is from the beginning of the journey with V, and the second from the last moment before she bids V good night in the safe house.

I wrote a little bit about the first one and how much I love it, and here's the dialogue that immediately precedes it. We get to see her completely vulnerable in this scene. She admits she can't trust anyone and she doesn't know what to do. She feels helpless.

But the second one... when V says it doesn't seem like she misses D.C. and her only response is "Hm" and that smirk.... What does that mean, Rosalind?

Is she missing the freedom of private life? Could the action of the day have made her nostalgic for her past life in the Marines?

Though it seems she has mixed feelings in about her time there, as earlier she can say, "One learns things in the army, in spite of oneself."

"In spite of oneself" is not a ringing endorsement, not to mention calling it "the army". Would a Marine call it that? I'm skeptical. Either it's sloppy writing, or it's an intentional call out to her ambivalence about the time she served by not honoring the institution with its proper name.

What does that smirk mean, Rosalind?

Every time I see an announcement for a Bakugan Reboot whether it's a new one or the current one being cancelled, my ass can help but facepalm. Why? Because they always miss the point of the original show.

First issue is overcomplicating things. The original Bakugan was pretty simple to play. Your goal is to win 3 Gate Cards and everything about it comes in threes. Three Gate Cards, three Ability Cards, then of course three Bakugan. Only exception being Attributes which there are six: Pyrus, Haos, Aquos, Ventus, Subterra, and Darkus.

Gate Cards are won by either beating your opponents Bakugan via highest G-Poser or get two of your own Bakugan on Gate Card. The OG series prioritized strategy despite these simple rules.

Obviously the New Vestoria tossed that old rulebook in the trash but it stayed in the show. The only additions were a new battle mechanic like Bakugan Traps and Bakugan Battle Gear. What caused the original series to end on a poor note is because the companies was focused more on the toys than the story.

The reason franchises like Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon are still going strong is their quality story telling. First three seasons of OG Bakugan had a pretty great story that touches down on things you don't see nowadays. All the Bakugan were DISPLACED REFUGEES in the FIRST season and the main issue was people using cards that sent losing Bakugan to HELL.

There were actually stakes, some good characters(especially the villains), character growth, etc. It only went downhill due to the mess that was the fourth i.e Mechtanium Surge. Also OG Bakugan got four videogames!

The reboots don't have any of that. Characters are unlikable, plot is either unfollowable or a mess, and they keep overcomplicating the battle system. Quantity instead of quality. Hell I've seen more videos on how to put up the reboot Bakugan than the old one.

Case in point, a reboot is only good if you care about the source material. This is both the origin of the franchise but also a pretty great blueprint for making something new. Unless someone can respect that then I have no faith in a new Bakugan series.
