Qianjiangsaurus changshengi Dai et al., 2024 (new genus and species)
Tumblr media
(Vertebrae and hip bones of Qianjiangsaurus changshengi [scale bar = 20 cm], from Dai et al., 2024)
Meaning of name: Qianjiangsaurus = Qianjiang lizard [in Greek]; changshengi = for Wang Changsheng [the first to formally report Cretaceous dinosaur fossils from Chongqing]
Age: Late Cretaceous (more precise age uncertain, but probably sometime within the Campanian–Maastrichtian)
Where found: Zhengyang Formation, Chongqing, China
How much is known: Partial skeleton of one individual, including parts of the skull, hips, and hindlimbs.
Notes: Qianjiangsaurus was a hadrosauroid, closely related to but not a member of the "core group" of duck-billed dinosaurs (hadrosaurids). Its overall anatomy is typical for a non-hadrosaurid hadrosauroid, but it also exhibits some features more commonly found in true hadrosaurids. It is estimated to have been about 8 m long in total body length.

Hello Rainbowsky,
Is it true that someone really booked 26 screenings of One and Only. Or is it a rumour?
And if it’s true, 26 screenings mean it is dedicated to WYB’s 26th birthday.
So, WYB, Chongqing, very rich and anonymous identity does not it points to one person? => XZ
What do you think?
Hi Anon! 😊
Tumblr media
Fake, fan fiction, CPN.
It's true that there were such bookings made in Chongqing (GG's hometown, and where his family lives).
It's not proved who is behind the bookings, but the number is an interesting coincidence given that DD is turning 26 soon. We know that GG and DD often signal their birthdays this way.
And whoever it was bought all the expensive high end theaters where tickets are difficult to sell, and left the affordable ones for passersby, which was thoughtful - like a rabbit we all know.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(source)
The same thing was done for Born to Fly. 30 screenings were bought out. A friend told me that a box office analyst even took note of it, saying that the film was doing better in Chongqing than anywhere else in the country. 😅
Other celebrities have been buying screenings - a long list of them, some of them including (source):
Kara Wai - Hu Jun - Wang Chuanjun - Victoria Song Qian - Yin Zheng - Wu Lei - Yu Shi - Ni Hongjie - Qiao Shan - Wang Shengnan - Meng Hetang - director Su Liang - Wang Yitai - Dong Sicheng - Jia Ling - Jia Bing - Liu Xiaoshi - Huang Yi
And there are likely more who've booked screenings, but they're all open about it, and post openly about their support for DD and their best wishes for the success of the film. And no one is booking a large number of screenings like this.
30 screenings, 26 screenings - this is an extravagant expense, and done anonymously. That points to GG AFAIAC. He doesn't do half measures. He drops bombs, as we all know. He's not subtle.
Yes, it's a gift but I think it's also a flex. He's showing that he supports DD in a big way, and will spare no expense.
Those who know, know.
DD said Leos love to be praised. This is definite praise. It's sweet to picture DD's smug spoiled smile when he finds out about things like this. He knows he's loved, and he knows that others know it too. That's something that would definitely please him.
Of course, this is total CPN. We have no way of verifying.

Some questions answered during Li Le's weibo live stream (not all questions are included, some long answers are summarized):
note: "Wang laoshi" is an affectionate nickname for Wang Yunkai
1. How do you feel during your first livestream?
Lele: A bit nervous but also a little excited.
2. How tall are you?
Lele: I'm 185 cm.
3. What was your first impression of Kaikai?
Lele: I saw Wang laoshi's description. My first reaction was that he described me as if I took the lead female role in a drama, with the way he described my face and me dragging two large suitcases upstairs, almost unable to move. Later, I thought it was indeed like that. He seemed like a very, very warm person.
4. What is your MBTI?
Lele: I am an introvert, an ISFJ, a little nurse. Wang laoshi is a protagonist (ENFJ).
5. Will there be autographed photos?
Lele: There will be opportunities for autographed photos in the future.
6. Can you speak Russian/Thai?
Lele: I can't speak Russian or Thai.
7. Have you read the original work?
Lele: I have read the original work. After reading it, I was somewhat hesitant to take on the role. However, after playing Huaien, I learned a lot from him.
8. Do you eat snail noodles?
Lele: I love eating snail noodles; I'm a big foodie.
9. How has your mindset changed before and after filming?
Lele: I used to be quite indifferent about relationships, believing that being together or not is a matter of fate. However, after playing Huaien, I realized a valuable trait in him—his view of love is very pure and he believes that if you like someone, you should give your all to pursue and fight for it. This moved me deeply.
10. What type of role would you like to experience next?
Lele: I used to want to play roles that are similar to my own personality, more lively characters. After playing Huaien, I now want to try roles that are quite different from myself so that I can learn new things.
11. What do you like to eat?
Lele: I love many foods, whether they're from Wuhan, Xi'an, as long as it's delicious.
12. Are there any kissing scenes in the drama?
Lele: I can't spoil it, but everyone can look forward to it.
13. Where do you most recommend traveling to?
Lele: Every place is different, whether domestic or overseas. Cities in China like Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, and Chongqing each have their unique charm.
14. How does it feel to shoot a kissing scene?
Lele: It feels just like how it would feel when you kiss someone.
15. What food do you recommend in Shanghai?
Lele: Shanghai's pan-fried buns are delicious.
16. Will you collaborate with Kaikai again?
Lele: I certainly hope so, if there's an opportunity.
17. What is your zodiac sign?
Lele: I am a Scorpio.
18. Can you recommend a song?
Lele: Of course, "A Passionate Dream" sung by Wang laoshi and me. Besides that, have you heard of the song "Young And Beautiful"? I really like that one.
19. Do you have any interesting experiences from filming "Blossom"?
Lele: There are quite a few memorable scenes. The most unforgettable for me is the one by the river because it was very special.
20. What did you think of your voice actor?
Lele: I think the voice actor added a lot of value to my performance.
21. Will there be offline events?
Lele: Offline meetings and concerts will depend on future arrangements.
22. Will you change your hair color?
Lele: I want to be a bit spontaneous and dye my hair blonde.
23. Do you usually work out?
Lele: I do work out, but I can be a bit lazy and need someone to keep an eye on me.
24. What type of music do you like?
Lele: Recently, I've been listening a lot to "A Passionate Dream" and "Under the Moonlight," our theme song and ending song sung by Wang laoshi and I, as well as "Endless Calamity" by Li Junliang laoshi. In general, I enjoy listening to songs by Zhou Shen and Faye Wong.
25. Will there be a duo livestream?
Lele: A duo live stream depends on future arrangements. It should happen; I'll consult with our boss.
26. Are you of mixed heritage?
Lele: Yes, I am of mixed heritage, though it's quite distant. My grandfather's previous generation was Russian.
27. Why do you eat a lot but not gain weight?
Lele: Actually, I gain weight easily, and I love eating. I used to be very overweight, weighing up to 110kg in middle school. I later lost weight, going down to around 75kg. My slimmest was during the filming of "Blossom."
28. Can you post a nine-pic grid?
Lele: Sure, I can post a nine-pic grid. I'll leave that to my publicity team.
29. Have you seen the complete version of the drama?
Lele: Yes, I've seen the complete version. It was very embarrassing, especially the first two episodes where I had to dress as a woman for the first time.
30. What hobbies do you have?
Lele: Traveling. Previously, Wang laoshi and I planned trips to Chengdu and Yanji. In Shanghai, I might play tennis, go shopping, or watch good movies.
31. What is your contact name for Wang laoshi?
Lele: His contact name is Kaikai.
32. Which outfit in the drama is your favorite?
Lele: Because most of my outfits are white, my favorite is actually the black one. It appears rarely, but I saw it in the trailer and really liked it.
33. Do you call each other by name in private?
Lele: In private, I just call him Kaikai.

35. Can you swim?
Lele: Yes, I can swim.
36. Do you have any vlogs?
Lele: Vlogs are being arranged and currently being filmed. They include work and daily life ones, and there are also vlogs from shooting before.
37. Where will your next trip be?
Lele: If there's time, Wang laoshi and I might go to Chengdu or Yanji. I also really want to visit Xinjiang or Changsha, Shandong is an option too, as it has great food.
38. What kind of milk tea do you like?
Lele: My top favorite is Cha Yan Yue Se. Second, I think Heytea is quite good. Third, I like Thai milk tea. I also love drinking from Mixue.
39. Did you take anything from the drama as a keepsake?
Lele: Yes, I took Huaien's hairband, but I didn't bring it out; it's at home.
40. Can you drink douzhi (fermented mung bean milk/soup)?
Lele: I don't like it.
41. Do you have any pets?
Lele: Yes, I have a dog, a small poodle. It's a kind fleece poodle, not a wicked one.
42. What's your dog's name?
Lele: My kind fleece poodle is named Xiao Yueyue (the fleece part is hard to translate but it's funny because by "fleece" he's referring to the poodle's fur, so he's speaking of him as a piece of fabric basically)

Chinastuck: the alpha kids
Jane Crocker: 王艳芳 (Wang Yanfang). Goes by Fangfang. Lives in Beijing. Han Chinese, with some Korean ancestry.
for the name i sort of went off of pure vibes. wang is ubercommon and means "king", yan means beautiful and i honestly just added it so all the prospit kids could have Y names, fang means "sweet-smelling" or "virtuous".
transmasc jane crocker real to me and he chooses the name 敏敏 (Minmin) meaning "clever" bc detective vibe??
still figuring out how to incorporate crockercorp.
Roxy Lalonde: 刘天秀 (Liu Tianxiu). Lives in flooded, postapocalyptic Shanghai among carapacians. Kazakh and Jewish Han ancestry.
roxy to my understanding means something like "bright dawn". tianxiu means beautiful sky. they share the character xiu with rose's name, xiulan.
Dirk Strider: 赵强剑 (Zhao Qiangjian). Lives alone in postapocalyptic, flooded Chongqing. Jewish Han and Hmong ancestry.
qiang means "strong" or "surpassing" and jian means "sword/dagger", tying into his character and one of the meanings of dirk, a type of dagger. he may be from the mainland, but since He's Dirk he uses traditional and even archaic characters for the ✨vibe✨, much to the annoyance of the other alpha kids. he spells his own name as 趙彊劍 lmao
i feel like doll strider would choose the name 雪莲 (Xuelian), which both means "snow-white lotus", suggesting purity, and is the name of a rare and precious herb. lotuses also have religious significance which she is aware of although dirk is a lil bit of a snooty reddit atheist to me. again she'd spell lian as 蓮 for Dirk Reasons
dirk is as much of a weeb and brony as in canon. he likes yapping abt chinese/japanese/western cultural comparisions and tries to teach himself japanese.
Jake English: Angli, sinicized as 洋格李 (Yang Geli). Lives in rural Inner Mongolia. Mongolian.
mongolian names typically are only the given name. jake's name is literally "english"; post scratch jade named him this to spite the condesce, similar to her taking on the last name english in canon. this also reflects a somewhat old fashioned mongolian naming practice of giving a child a strange/inauspicious name to drive away misfortune. (i am not mongolian myself apologies if this explanation did not make much sense) the sinicization of his name starts with a Y to match all the other prospit kids, with the character 洋 meaning the ocean with a connotation of vastness. this references him growing up in the middle of the ocean.
i like transfem jake english choosing the name lara. in china its spelled 勞拉 👍
idk what other details to change abt jakes life... the general arc of it is similar obviously

Historical Background for 《无名》 (Hidden Blade)
A very brief summary of historical details of note for understanding the context of the film:
The film is set during the Second Sino-Japanese War and WWII. There are several powers in play at this time: the Chinese Communist Party, the Chinese Nationalist Party or Kuomintang, and Imperial Japan. Imperial Japan invaded Manchuria (located in northeastern China) in the early 1930s and established the puppet state of Manchukuo. It was here where they hoped to establish a base from where they would continue their expansion into Asia.
In 1937, after many years of conflict, Japan occupied Shanghai, Nanjing, and Beijing. The Nanjing Massacre occurred at this time. After the fall of Nanjing, which had been the capital of the Republic of China at that time, the Kuomintang moved the capital west to Chongqing, under Jiang Jieshi's leadership. During this time, the Chinese Communist Party and the Kuomintang formed a temporary alliance, suspending the years of civil conflict between them, although their vie for power continued. The Chinese Communist Party set up their base in Yan'an.
In 1940, Wang Jingwei, who was once a member of the Kuomintang but had always been in opposition against Jiang Jieshi, collaborated with Japan to establish the Wang Jingwei regime. They claimed to be the leadership of the Republic of China, when in fact they were a puppet government of Japan, overseeing the Japanese-occupied territory in eastern China, under Japan's control. They established their capital in Nanjing and used the Kuomintang flag. The Axis powers recognized the Wang Jingwei regime, while the Allied powers still recognized Jiang Jieshi as the leader of the Republic of China.
From 1937-1941, Japan had left a few neighbourhoods in Shanghai unoccupied, because that was where the American-British joint settlement and French Concession were located. Many people fled to this area to live at that time. After Pearl Harbor in 1941, the entirety of Shanghai became occupied by Japan. Many cities were bombed during these years, including Guangzhou, which experienced bombings for 14 months in 1937-1938.
During this era of war, which is also called the War of Resistance in China, espionage networks were established to try to undermine the enemy. Hidden Blade tells a story about these individuals.
Characters in the film (spoiler-free):
Director He (Tony Leung): Director of the Political Security Department for the Wang Jingwei regime
Mr. Ye (Wang Yibo): A subordinate under Director He, works for the Political Security Department of the Wang Jingwei regime
Captain Wang (Wang Chuanjun): A captain working for the Political Security Department of the Wang Jingwei regime, under Director He
Minister Tang (Da Peng): Minister of the Political Security Department of the Wang Jingwei regime, Director He's cousin
Officer Watanabe (Mori Hiroyuki): Head of secret service in Shanghai, claiming to be a follower of Ishiwara's faction (Japanese general who believed in the Pan-Asianism ideology)
Mr. Zhang (Huang Lei): A secretary of the Chinese Communist Party's underground network
Ms. Chen (Zhou Xun): A messenger of the Chinese Communist Party's underground network
Ms. Jiang (Jiang Shuying): Kuomintang agent assigned to assassinate Minister Tang
Ms. Fang (Zhang Jingyi): Disguised as a dancer, she worked together with other progressive youth to try to assassinate Japanese officers

Ming Lou and Ah-Cheng this, Ming Tai and Wang Tian Feng that, yeah okay, both are valid options, but what about Ming Lou and Wang Tian Feng ??? I'm not telling you that they secretly like each others I'm telling you something definitely happened between the two and both are regretting it but can't forget it and hate themselves for doing it while also being kind of obsessed about each other's brains because they are both really smart and really insane in different but similar ways. Maybe it's "what happens in Paris, stay in Paris". Or maybe it's "what happens in Chongqing, stay in Chongqing". But anyway the tension in this poker room was not the tension between two persons that never explored each other's bodies.

A PRIME EXAMPLE OF WHY WASHING SOMETHING WILL MAKE IT SWEETER. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
I am referencing this post by Ms王小甜 and before I proceed, I wanna say that I actually welcome “washing”. I have no problem with having a more rational or alternate explanation for whatever cpn thinking that we have. I actually do that myself too and the reality is we can’t ignore facts. I like CPNs that start with facts and go from there.
Tumblr media
My problem is when someone tries to disprove things and want us to believe it just because they say so. no evidence or anything. However my favorite kind of washing is one that gives more fuel to the CPN. 🤍🤍🤍🤍
The incident happened in the comment section of a particular bjyx video. There are tons of those both in Chinese platform and international. However one comment stood out. Everyone else is clowning along and this account said something to probably wash what the majority is saying.
Tumblr media
Drama is drama, reality is reality. Xiao Zhan's hometown and my sister's husband's family live in the building next door. (….) People in my hometown never say anything. Wang Yibo has been there and everyone knows that they are just good friends.
I’m sorry, WHAT?
Did you just say everyone knows but don’t say anything that WYB visits XZ’s hometown??? 🤔
Interesting. Lol. Probably during CQL filming? WYB’s Chongqing visit before he used the Ox necklace? Or was this something more recent? We don’t know if what this random person on the internet is saying is true, but if what they wanted to prove is that the boys are just good friends — then they are speaking to the wrong crowd. the bit they said made us clown even more:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
these are just some examples 😂😂😂😂😂😂
please try better ways to wash things next time. and this is why most of the time the concept of washing by so/os have always been hilarious to me. we did that. a lot of cpn-bloggers fact check things and the cpn bit is always with a disclaimer so it’s not like we need a third party for a reality check. there are spaces that are only for bxgs only and crossing over usually doesn’t end well. we only clown stronger.
BONUS: there is also this comment from a cpn video discussing the mystery driver.
Tumblr media
Don't guess. Wang Yibo is the one driving the car. I'm nearby. Yes, I can see clearly. They sometimes go to the supermarket together.
and there is another comment below this that said they live upstairs ( hometown ) then proceeded to say, Guess why I fell in this trap? ( this being bjyx clowning )
-END.

This is kinda hilarious, watching ZXG & HJJ's fans play detectives over on X. ZXG has this star tattoo on his chest. And HJJ wore this brooch in exactly the same place yesterday at the e-sport event 😁
Don't mind me, I'm not delulu enough to think there's anything real behind it but it's good fun, the way fans keep going through anything them two post with a fine-tooth comb! 😂
Just like when fans say that every Chongqing boy (Xiao Zhan, HJJ) needs a biker boyfriend (Wang Yibo, XZG). And it's even funnier when you realize that Xiao Zhan and XZG are band mates! 🤣

Yuzhoulong qurenensis Dai et al., 2022 (new genus and species)
Tumblr media
(Braincase [a–b] and lower jaw [c] of Yuzhoulong qurenensis, from Dai et al., 2022)
Meaning of name: Yuzhoulong = Yuzhou [old name for Chongqing] dragon [in Chinese]; qurenensis = from Quren [old name for Yunyang County]
Age: Middle Jurassic (Bathonian?)
Where found: Shaximiao Formation, Chongqing, China
How much is known: Partial skeleton of one individual including part of the skull, several vertebrae, and partial limbs.
Notes: Yuzhoulong was a macronarian sauropod, making it a close relative of brachiosaurids and titanosaurs. Along with the whip-tailed diplodocoids, macronarians are members of the group Neosauropoda. Although neosauropods were highly successful in the Late Jurassic and Cretaceous, fossils of them from the Middle Jurassic are very rare. As one of the oldest known macronarians, Yuzhoulong is therefore a potentially important find for understanding the early evolution and distribution of neosauropods.
