Gill Grunt
Gill Grunt is a water core from Spyro’s Adventure. His primary attack is to shoot a harpoon from his harpoon gun, while his secondary is to shoot a stream of water. His tertiary is activating his water jet pack so he can fly a short distance above the ground. His upgrade paths enhance his harpoons (top) and his water spray (bottom). I would recommend the water spray path, as it unlocks the ability to have the water gun and jetpack never run out of water, which is very useful. His water gun does good damage with fantastic knockback. I definitely enjoyed him, but I think he's a little basic. Gill Grunt is a true longranger with a dash ability. It's noteworthy, and he's very beginner friendly, but he's a little boring for an experienced player. Overall: 7/10. I enjoyed him, but there are better longrangers in later games.
If you want to play a similar skylander, Gill Grunt plays similarly to other fast longrangers, like Flameslinger and Trigger Happy (both of Spyro's Adventure)
If you like to play co-op, Gill Grunt would play well with a shortranger, like Stealth Elf or Terrafin (both of Spyro's Adventure)
@ratcorner this guy looks familiar

ZAP
Zap is a water core from Spyro’s Adventure. His primary attack is to send out a small bolt of lightning from his mouth, and his secondary attack is to slide around using slime that can slow and shock enemies. His tertiary is to summon a small wave, which he can ride around. His upgrade paths enhance his lightning breath and wave attacks (top) and his slimes (bottom). I took him down the slime path because it causes the slimes to become automatically electrically charged and they do more damage. Zap is a fantastic longrange charger, a bonus for him is that his electrical powers often stun enemies, freezing them in place. He's really good against enemies that follow you, as they will get stuck in the slime and perish! I'm really fond of him, and would recommend him if you like faster longrangers. Overall: 9/10, he's just a fun little frog of a guy
If you want to play as a similar skylander, Zap plays similarly to Gill Grunt, Flameslinger, Cynder, and Sunburn (all of Spyro's Adventure)
If you like to play co-op, Zap would play well with a slower melee companion, like Chop Chop, or Voodood (both of Spyro's Adventure). Zap also plays well with Ninjini, the magic Giant
