He didn't know when or how he gained consciousness. All he remembered was the first thing he saw when he "woke up" familiar faces in a usual place, the calm music that the Pokemon Center plays every night. Pokemon was standing right next to him, but as his eyes looked forward into what he perceived was a giant portal created by Palkia and Dialga themselves. And a smiling face looking down upon the world he inhabited.

He had thought you were one of Arceus's angels, and this was about a dream, but soon, he had realized that only half was the case.

It all seemed to click who you were. You are not some dead fish-eyed child with a robotic Pikachu like what this world had portrayed you as no far from; instead of that kid with the permanent smile, you always seem to have a tired look on your face with either a small half-smile or a Blank Stare. But to Ingo, he always preferred to you behind the screen. Even when you were no longer watching the world, he could still hear your faint voice going about your day. You seemed more lively and more human than the blank slated avatar they gave you. How could he not be drawn to you even though you seem so sad? Your eyes and your being just seem so full of life that he felt an urge to protect and care for you.

Even though the fake Island had tons of people and, he felt more alone than he ever did, especially when he realized he was the only one different from the rest. He can't help but respond to every little question or reaction in his head, afraid of what you might do if he ever breaks away from the game's script.

But on a particular day that was a rough one for you mentally and physically, when Ingo saw you opening up the app instead of that same expression, your eyes were red from crying. No, you were still crying. His heart sank. If he could, if he could touch you, he would hold you close and Whisper nothing but good things in your ear until you calm down, but he can't do that. He couldn't do anything!! He felt sick with worry as he watched you cry, your lip quivering as you vent to yourself, saying the most horrible things about yourself !! And for a moment, he threw away his worries of the consequences.

" Are you okay?"

A simple three-letter sentence that made you freeze; your heart's practically stopped as you didn't know that you were being watched. It took you a while for your brain to process who the voice was coming from, looking down at your phone to see your favorite character stare back. Huh... Odd you didn't know he had that line before.... and not only that, you didn't remember clicking on him. Usually, characters say their lines after you click on them, yet you don't even touch them. As you were Gathering your thoughts, Ingo spoke again.

" I truly wish I could wipe away those tears, I regretfully can't do much but if it helps tell me about your day and I'll listen."

Ingo speaks again... no text box appears; nothing; he just talked to you, mentioning your crying. In that first moment, you didn't know how you felt. Your favorite character coming to life and talking to you was almost a dream come true, but the thought just seemed so impossible and unrealistic that you doubted the fact that you were awake. And your feelings are already all over the place, having no one to turn to, no one to comfort you, craving that comfort, your heart exploded. You can't stop the tears rolling down your face, even if is just a dream; what a beautiful dream it is.

"I-i don't know." You stuttered you were far too gone to even articulate what you are feeling all your emotions swelling for the past month or two bubbling up into a mess of emotion. You want us to tell him tell him that your day was crap tell him how crappy you looked right now tell him that he can't believe he saw you like this that your first meeting with your favorite character your favorite person in the world was like this red in the face tears falling from your red and puffy eyes.

But Ingo did not seem fazed; he was not disgusted, he was not angry at you. He understood if he was there if he wasn't trapped behind the screen, he would have wished you in his arms and laid his lips on your forehead. He knew how you felt; he listened to your angry ramblings about yourself; he listened to the times people had treated you like you were less than human or misused your kindness, manipulated and used you for their own gain. He wanted to hold you close, make you something you like, and tell you that the word you know about yourself is not true; he wanted to tell you how much you mean to him and how nice and loving you are, how kind and thoughtful and how gorgeous you were. Those people who mistreated you are not good people, and you deserve to be respected, you deserve happiness, and you deserve to be loved.

You deserve to be told that you're beautiful every day, to be made breakfast in bed and kissed at every waking moment. Because that's what he would do for you; that's what his heart ached for him to do.

But he did what he could do which was listen to your broken sobs as you pour your heart out.

" It sounds like you had quite a day... I wish I could do more than just listen and speak to you, but what I can do is tell you what the things you say about yourself is not true... and I wish you could see yourself the way I see you. Could you stay with me for a while? I wish to talk to you, and we start from the beginning, shall we? Now, my dear, please tell me what's bothering you and wipe away those tears. Pretend that it's my fingers swiping across your eyes."

His voice, usually loud and booming, was surprisingly soft, warm, and welcoming. From his calming voice to your Outburst earlier, you felt your heart slow down and your tears dry as you wipe them from your face; those steel gray eyes light up for a moment when he sees just a piece of a smile flicker on your lips.

I feel like this is wildly excepted, but I can’t NOT mention it…Could Miles 42 do his own hair? Yes. But he makes his mama do it so he can spend time with her.

We know that Miles’s dad and Aaron fell out in universe 1610 (at least I think so) SO because Miles’s dad isn’t there to stray the family away from his brother, Miles 42’s music is much more influenced by his uncle than 1610’s is. There’s a lot of oldies in there that he first heard because of him!

Adding on to that, I think there’s records in Miles 42’s room? Like I think it’s like in the back. Idk maybe I just saw someone say something about it

Anyways, on those bad nights where shit’s getting to him, Miles puts on a record or two. He loves his headphones, but the record player gives off a different vibe

I like to think about both Miles’ art styles. 1610’s is very freedom, graffiti centered (as we know). There’s a lot of color, he’s free with it. But I believe that 42’s is more, controlled? Idk the word, really. But there’s sharp lines and maybe even a little restraint? To show the difference between how they both grew up and what they’ve experienced through their loves.

I think Miles 42 is better at drawing what’s in front of him, versus 1610’s tendency to just sort of go with it.

both Miles’ favorite place is the roof, where the memorial for Aaron/Mr. Morales is. It makes them feel closer to the ones they’ve lost.

I’ve seen a Tiktok about Miles 42 having heterochromia? People argued that it was just the lighting in the movie, but I think it’d be cool? His eyes aren’t that different, but one is more hazel while the other is more brown.

Pokemon is Miles 42’s guilty pleasure. He likes the games a little (a lot) more than he’d like to admit

Sometimes I think i’d be funny if Miles 42 was a little on the short side? Like Miles 1610 grew because of the spider bite, but 42 stayed where he was? Like he’s not short, but he’s closer to average than a lot of the guys he hangs around and it’s funny because his attitude is 10 feet tall

Miles 42 doesn’t see his mom as much as 1610 does because she’s always working, so he does little things around the house to make it feel more like home when she gets off work. He lights her favorite candles, makes sure her favorite flowers are always in a vase on the dining room table. He likes taking the pressure off his mom’s shoulders because he knows she works hard. He goes above and beyond for her.

He sometimes (a lot of times) slips money into her savings jar so he can see her face light up when she counts it all

42 has his dad’s class ring from high school. He wears it a lot, but when he doesn’t it stays in a little box with his chains.

I can imagine both Miles’ just knowing random things? Like they have all these facts for no reason except the can

It honestly baffles me how people are dunking on Sada and Turo for being shitty parents much more than I saw when Sun and Moon first came and Lusamine was first revealed to be the villain like huh 😭 where was that energy before??? Because I feel there’s more nuance with Sada and Turo’s characters and their motivations than there were with Lusamine’s (I’m talking about her in the games of course, not the anime. I will also leave discussion for what happens in Ultra Sun and Moon for another post, so I’m only talking about the plot of the original Sun and Moon here). I’m honestly just tired of all the bashing on the Professors and them being watered down to “typical shitty parent in Pokemon” when the game clearly states and implies the exact opposite.

Lusamine is very much shown to have abandoned her kids, openly berating them and saying she has no children right in front of her daughter’s face because they “abandoned her love” and going forth with her plan to open the wormholes and summon the ultra beasts with no consideration for anything else. She doesn’t have the headspace to care about her children anymore in her plan, in huge contrast to Sada/Turo’s plan where despite how extreme it was, was at the core still centered around their son and their family. I think chalking it down to just “well they’re still both bad parents anyway” takes away some of the complexity surrounding their characters in the first place. Also I’m only bringing Lusamine as a comparison mostly because Ghetsis and Giovanni do not have any other depth to their characters in the core games lmao, and I feel Lusamine is a great example of a parent who used to care but had lost that love after her husband’s “death” and along the way of achieving her goal, while Sada and Turo are examples of the complete opposite: parents who still held onto that love and care throughout their goal, but took it so far that they hurt the one person it was for the most out of everything. It really feels like people are portraying the professors’ flaws in the completely wrong way. The problem was never “they never loved their son at all and intentionally abandoned him” it was “they became so invested and deluded in their plan they ended up neglecting the treasure it was supposed to be for.” which is exactly what distinguishes them from all the other parent antagonists we’ve seen so far. There’s a certain tragedy present in seeing a broken family that used to be so happy together that I feel was also in Sun and Moon’s story, but was muddled due to the story focusing on other aspects.

And I’m going to address this right now because I know people are going to say something because they lack reading comprehension: I am not excusing Sada and Turo’s actions in the game and how their neglect had affected Arven. Explanations are not Excuses. You can acknowledge that they loved their son while still hurting him in the end, both ideas can coexist. I merely just want to analyze wtf even happened here for the professor to go down this path. And it’s also worth nothing that we don’t have much answers in the game itself as of right now, since well—the original is dead and we’re dealing with an AI version of them for the entirety of the game. Most of this is coming from the original’s journals in the lab, but I think the game makes a clear distinction that they still loved Arven even after everything. Despite their delusion taking over them, I think they genuinely believed what they were doing was the best for them and their family despite otherwise. The whole point at the end was to highlight how they didn’t need to create that paradise. They had that loving family already, and it was too late for them to realize that Arven only needed them and nothing else.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I want the DLC to address Arven’s other parent and what exactly happened to them (or better yet, meet them in the story which would honestly be an interesting parallel where the professor of the opposite version is the one you get to know more than the original in game one). I know the in game Professor’s journal entry says they “walked out” but what does that even mean in hindsight? Keep in mind this is from the point of view of someone who’s continuously being deluded into their own idea of paradise, who most likely felt grief after their partner left them that they built an entire AI of themselves to help complete the project.

And yet they still say they’re going to build a paradise for “the three of them.” Does that mean the in game professor was also trying in some way to bring the other parent back? What if it was an accident? What if they were sent through the time machine and couldn’t go back, and the in game professor was so distraught their delusion out of sheer desperation made it so they processed it as “(s)he walked out on me, and now I’m all alone.” Of course this all a lot of speculation, but it just doesn’t make sense to me how Arven’s other parent would “leave” like that. Maybe I’m being an optimist about it, but it really does feel like it was unwillingly in some way, where the in game professor’s increasing delusion was the reason why they “left” so to speak.

And that’s not even addressing the 3rd legendary of the game and its role in all of this is. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was meant to parallel the snake/the devil in Genesis, as the sin of temptation since the professor and Area Zero have a lot of similarities with the Garden of Eden and this idea of “paradise” for their family. Where the 3rd legendary gave them the opportunity to create their paradise by giving them access to the paradox pokemon and terastalizing, and thus influenced them so much, it eventually led them down to a path of their own destruction consumed by the delusion that they could create a paradise for their family, but failed to recognize they ended up hurting the one person they treasured most in the end. If the other professor did indeed return in the DLC, maybe it would give the chance to separate themselves from their spouse and make things right with both the region and Arven. Having them be the antithesis to the other Professor’s motivation and making the choice to stay with Arven in the present would be a really cool way to wrap up the story ngl.

Anyways people who portray them as apathetic and uncaring to Arven in fan art and fics I wish you a very “play the fucking game again please”. Even their character design sheets say otherwise, especially with Sada like I cannot imagine the woman described as “not being able to hide her emotions well” would be a cold and uncaring mother like come on 💀 I played Violet for crying out loud and I’m still able to recognize that.

YES!!!!!!! 💎🐢💥 full disclosure I only just finished Indigo Disk's main storyline like....less than 24 hours ago so I am still RIDING HIGH FROM THE RUSH OF IT ALL. will probably be spoilers ahead, as a head's up:

first off I love that like. right off the bat youre getting hit with cyrano and cavell old man yaoi. busting out the cute little nicknames like HELLO!!! AND then you have geeta showing up and rika is there for no reason whatsoever and it's like. well ok i think they were having lesbian activities on the plane over you love to see it!

anyway setting wise, the Big Ol Blueberry is pretty fun! I love running around and the Synchro Machine is SUCH a ridiculously fun feature (FINALLY, TRUE GAMING: Dana can run around as a Ninetales and smack a big ball around.) I love all the Unova callbacks and I LOVE THE DIFFERENT CLUB ROOM LAYOUTS!! The monochrome one made me tear up and SEEING THE FUCKIGN. POKESTAR STUDIOS ENEMIES. IN THE FUTURISTIC ONE. MADE ME FEEL SOMETHING. pokestar studios my beloved i miss it sooo much 😭 My buddy Snap was talkin about how the Terarium really kind of lacks... yknow, landmarks and points of interest, though, and god I agree so hard. I love that Kitakami had its own little set of interesting features and places to go and use as landmarks and the Terariuam kind of. Doesn't really have those. It's a bit of a pain in the ass to navigate and easy to get lost but not in a fun way.... even though you have these little neat natural features like The Pride Rock and Chargestone Caves, I wish we coulda had a little bit more :( For such a widely used part of the school it doesn't feel very 'lived' in by the students there. It would've been fun to see more gathering places aside from the Very Sterile Outside Classrooms.....

The Area Zero Underdepths, though...hooouughhHHHhhh. I just. I really have to admire the fact that Indigo Disk said "ohhh you want answers?? you wanna know what's going on in this place? fuck you, youre gonna have MORE questions after this, and theyre gonna be even CRAZIER ones." YOU GO IN THAT HOLE AND LEARN NOTHING AND IM NOT EVEN MAD ABOUT IT. GO LOOK AT THE CRYSTAL TREE DOWN THIS RANDOM PATHWAY. i neeeed to make a terapagos post sometime and talk more about it i cannot stop thinking about this little freak. POKEMON THAT SCARE ME A LITTLE I MUST SAY. POKEMON I DO NOT FEEL IN CONTROL OF. i Know they didnt make its charged terastal form look like a dream catcher for no reason. ok well that's. less about setting and more about story though huh. well!! story wise, absolutely loved it! I know there was a lot of apprehension when the DLCs got more properly announced and we found out they didnt really center on Our Dear Paldea Friends as scarvio proper did, and yeah I definitely can see why that's a frustration and a deterrent for some (and I'm soo so excited to hang out with Nemona and Arven and Penny in the epilogue next month....peach time (: ) but for me in the end I'm really just so enamored and delighted with all the new friends you get to make in the DLC and they more than carry that little narrative's arc on its own. The Elite 4 of the BB League are all GREAT, they got nonstop autistic girls out here in gen 9 (nemona, amarys, briar ?!??!) and it ROCKS. and i LOVE Carmine so much, everyone always wants mean rivals and mean women and folks cant even handle Carmine 🙄 you can tell she genuinely has such a big heart and cares about her friends and her brother!!! and Kieran wahhh wahh kieran my newest Little Guy ;____;.... he is SO fourteen and I did not expect to go into the DLC getting really invested in a new character's arc but it's just GOOD. He REALLY feels like a loose yugioh character in Indigo Disk, he's so angry and obsessed with victory and ultimately under it all still capable of so much kindness and regret and he's just GOOD. And his champion battle was terrifying and a BLAST!! THE MUSIC RULES. HE EVEN HAD INCINEROAR.

god and all the music in Indigo Disk was a banger. gen 9 music save me. gen 9 music. save me gen 9 music.

i'm SUPER hyped to do more BBQs with my bestie and do more postgame stuff with the "hanging out with Gym Leaders" thing and the Legendary hunting and such... lots more to roll around in and have a good time with. All in all had just a great time with it, I genuinely might put Violet as my favorite Pokemon game of all time at this point! I do grow very sad thinking about just how even more fantastic this game couldve been if it had 1-3 more years to cook properly though, like..god damn. I was getting some LAG on those cutscenes, and I know I made out pretty alright in the bugs department!!

but for now i'll just be thinking about the shit that happens at the crystal pool for the rest of my life. also Indigo Disk gave me the best possible trainer ID photo i never need to change it again

Meowth gets extremely moved and Team Rocket starts crying and shit and it's the first time we see them support Ash against a different opponent. So yeagh that's all, big fan, bye

Now for some Background: Me and a friend were just Casually writing an RP (Role play) on WhatsApp wen she decided to completey blind Bede. Thx Maria! I hate you to 🥺😭😂

Let's start at the start shall we?:

How you meet:

You were Running through the Cole mine wen you meet him for the first time. He was struggling with finding his way after Victor beat his Hatenna in battle. After all his Pokemon see for him.

Just because he can't see, it doesn't mean he doesn't hears you. I fact his ears are so good that he heard you from the entrance of the mine already. Looking you way, your eyes meet. His white eyes scared you for a second, but you quickly realised his setuaion. So you grabt his arm putting it on you shoulder and got him out of there. You got him through the rest of route 4 to Turffield, into the Pokémon Center.

He thank you and you talk until his Pokémon we're back at full health. Wen you wanted to go he asked you if you would accompany him on his journey. So you did.

How he started catching feelings:

You and Bede were resting in Circhester wen you asked him if he wanted to go to the hot springs. So you both did. In the hot spring you both rested and played with you Pokémon. Even though Bede couldn't see you, his Pokémon did so for him. So wen you started brushing Bede's Hatterene, it send a message to Bade of what you are doing. His Heart melted at the thought of you doing this to his hair. And at that moment he realised: fuck. I have feelings for them! Now my acting makes sense!

How he confessed:

It was after You finally beat Victor AND Leon in the Champions League. He meet you outside in his Gym- Leader clothes, Smileing at you. You hug'd him and he patted you head. After a while he let you go: "congratulations on winning the League." He putt an envelope in you hand: "only open it after we go separate ways okey?" You ensured him that you won't opent it I'll then. After you hade a little party he got back to his Gym.

It was 2 week after this meeting wen you found the envelope in you Pocket. You opened it and Bede Beautifully handwritten caught your eye.

/Please meet me at my Gym once you have some time. I have something to tell you. But I would prefer it in private. Bede/

And so you did. You travelled to Ballonlea and entered the gym. The gym-guy escorted you to Bede. He was sitting in one of his couches and playing with his Hatterene. Might as well do a tier list of the Horizons episodes too(Ones that I’ve watched)

HZ004: My favorite episode so far. Loved all of the Fuecoco content and his interactions with Roy were cute

HZ009: Really enjoyed the introduction to Paldea, as well as Alex and Fidough. Good episode for both Liko and Sprigatito. Also loved the drawing of Sprigatito and Fidough Alex made

HZ011: We got to learn about Mollie’s past and her desire to help all Pokémon and not just ones that can make it to Pokemon centers, a goal I respect. We also got Paldean Wooper debut!

HZ005: While I do have some problems with this episode(Liko winning off screen and her becoming a damsel), it’s still an episode I enjoyed

HZ012: A great end to the dub episodes on Netflix for now. We got good development and I loved the growing forest scene

HZ001: Still have a problem with the crazy pacing but it’s not bad for a first episode. Loved seeing Ann and Oshawott of course as well as indigo academy. It’s a shame we barely got to see it though. Maybe we will in the future even though that doesn’t seem likely

HZ003: Good episode. Rockruff got to shine and so did Liko. Onia fawning over Sprigatito was funny and relatable and I loved the visuals during the cap and ceruledge battle

HZ002: Honestly I only really liked seeing the Pokémon in this episode. It was ok. Didn’t enjoy Liko being a damsel and acting like a Y/N character(Sorry but it’s true 😭)

HZ006: Decent episode. Roy got Fuecoco and joined the rising volt tacklers. The ending scene was good and I loved the visuals during it

HZ007: Got annoyed how they kept falling asleep during training. I know they are low experienced Pokemon but it could’ve been handled better imo. But we did get some good development at the end as Liko and Roy realized just spamming the same attack is useless and annoying to the watcher

HZ008: Dot introduction and it was meh for me. Found Dot kinda annoying this episode. The team shopping was enjoyable and I like how the cloth ended up working. Also Spoink was a cutie

HZ010: Now I loved Nemona’s introduction and seeing Pokémon like Smoliv and Pamwo but that’s honestly it. The rest of the episode was boring and I didn’t care for Brassius tbh

My BABYGIRL. I genuinely was not expecting to adore Ogerpon as much as I do but Scar/Vi have done an awesome job at getting me to adore the legendaries. I honestly keep forgetting Miraidon is a legendary because it’s just my baby bike Pokemon who loves sandwiches.

Ogerpon touches my whole heart sobs. She’s so cute and sweet and I love her story and love being able to care for her sobs. I haven’t resolved things with Kieran yet so no spoilers but I also kinda like the route that story took too…at first I was frustrated because - and I still stand by this - I felt like it was COMPLETELY unnecessary to lie to him and keep him excluded from helping her? Like literally what was the point? Of course he would be upset and feel excluded and lied to?

But I also think the fact that he felt entitled to Ogerpon BECAUSE he liked the story so much to the point where - regardless of what Ogerpon wanted - he wanted to take her from me, that him learning about this kind of shit is important. He’s so angry now and power hungry, I can’t believe I gave this kid a complex by destroying him in battle so much. But I hope he softens and I hope we can fix things. Ugh.

ANYWAYS - all this to say I adore Ogerpon. She’s SO PRECIOUS TO ME I really need stupid Pokemon Center to release a plush of her that doesn’t have a mask (or at least has a removable one). 😭😭😭😭

Yea we heard about the Pokémon cruise but we had already passed Yokohama by then, and we are leaving tomorrow 😭 we got Yokohama Championship merch but we are missing the actual championship. Definitely a little jealous of your friend but I hope she enjoyed!

If I remember correctly denim Kimono were trendy for men back in 2019 but idk if they still are. I got a colorful two piece Kimono from my hostmother :) I’ll see about a picture when we are back!

As a best for last thing I got Mr. Katzen one of the big life size Fuecoco plushies today :) felt like a little kid fulfilling their plushie Pokemon dreams as I carried around the store, even though im a fairly new fan haha

more Thing update:

-i think gonzap is teaching him his ways while i’m not home. yesterday found both of them trying to get into the pantry when i got back from work and candy wrappers on the floor. ok i’ll explain that last part in a bit

-another suggestion from a random passerby at work: the Thing is a ripperam or something. apparently it’s a white thing someone found in the desert a long time ago and it is fluffy like him. this sounds pretty reasonable so i guess he’s a ripperam. also apparently ripperam is a legendary and i don’t really know what that means lmao. questioning the validity on this one but it seems like the best option rn

-got another letter from dad the other day and it’s kinda interesting so i’ll prolly post it later but the gist of it is that the Thing definitely should NOT go to a pokemon center. his team did some individualizing tests on him when they uncovered him and he’s like made of metal i think and their x-ray machine blew up when they tried to scan him so. yeaaaaaah that’s cool. thanks dad

-he has a sweet tooth. this is weird to me because neither gonzap nor mr gingersnap are very fond of sweet things. but man he loves that jam my mom gave him. and we found out he just really, REALLY likes sweet things. he even broke into my backpack and stole some candy so. that’s great. he just gets weirder by the day fr 😭 this is hell on earth

It’s fun and all but I have to rant lol

Obviously, this is a moneygrab for the holiday season bc look at these glitches, look at how these characters are freezing while they walk, and how player and pokemon are phasing through the walls and ground (and the memes made about these things ofc). I don’t even care about that. But. My brothers and sisters in Christ, idk if it’s because it’s 4 am and Atticus from Poison Crew whooped my ass for the third time, but I think what grinds my gears the most is the loading screens that are taking forever 🥲

Also quite obviously. The game is both dumbed down and much more challenging at the same time than older games if that makes sense. I feel like some of the students/classmates we battle are OP af. Either that or the AI is fucking with me because I just battled one that had U-turn on both his pokemon and zomg I RAGEDDD. that battle took like ten mins lol. Otherwise gym leaders are perdy easy.

Team Star I thought was a joke at the beginning 😭 I thought the storyline was kind of juvenile and along the lines of Team Yell, but yikes do they hit hard. Or maybe that’s just me being underleveled lol. I think maybe the game is too open-world for me, because one minute I’m overleveled, then next I’m at par with the classmates/gym leaders/team star, then I blink and I’m weaksauce. ALSO why is my team dying so fast. This is the only Pokemon game I feel like I’m using so many fucking damn potions and running back and forth to the centers to heal up every few seconds!!

Hate the new TM system. I think that’s one of the contributing factors in why I’m shit. Why can’t we just buy them like we used to -__- I have all these awesome types of pokemon, but 75% of them have normal or shitty moves, and like stuck with something like Bite, because I can’t give them something better. Listen, I’m not in the mood to rip off zangoose hair and collect ursaring saliva x a dozen times 😤
