Web 3.0 vs Web 2.0: A Writing Revolution
How Web 3.0 is Rewriting the Rules of Writing, Ownership, and Monetization Forever The Broken Promise of Web 2.0 For decades, writers have been trapped in a system that rewards platforms over creators. The Web 2.0 era turned content into a commodity—owned by corporations, monetized through ads, and dependent on algorithms. Writers became cogs in a machine, trading their time and talent for…

Getting very tired of Milennials and Gen X being triggered by the word "content". I'm not going to call myself a cosplayer, canon object DIY maker, fan song writer, fanfic writer, fanart and fanzine editor. It's too long. I'm a fandom content creator. I create many things that fall under many categories. "But calling it content means you see it as something to be consumed!" Correct. I want people to consume my ideas and art and writing, digest them, and then go forth and spawn their own ideas, art, and writing. That is 100% the goal. The goal is to make things and bring people joy and maybe make them make things too. "Web 3.0 has brainwashed you!" Cool, cry more. I'll be over here making a replica of the jellyfish hat from the manga that I can wear IRL while you spend your time getting mad about a word.
TBH the angrier people get about it the less inclined I am to listen. It's just one word. As someone who's had actual problems in life - not major, but compared to this, absolutely gargantuan - I just don't see the problem. If the word content triggers you, add it to x-kit and move on like an adult. I'm 21, I don't have time for handwringing about this.
--
Nah. You're a fanworks maker.
If you're a fandom ~content creator~, you're some youtube asshole making reaction videos to shit people wanted to keep to narrower circles.
'Content' is complex and depends a lot on context. 'Content creator' commonly means something fairly clear.
The people crying about how they want to use 'content' and not have anyone roll their eyes at them seem a lot more obsessed with this boring topic than the people going "This word has connotations".

WIBTA if i cut off someone reaching out for help on tumblr? i am a very anxious person. ive been on tumblr a very long time because most all other social media terrifies me as someone who grew up with the wild west internet a decade past (im in my late 20s) so i feel sometimes with how reckless and spurractic people can be online in chatroom and especially clearly public platforms where any stranger, malicious or otherwise can just archive your digital presence for personal use.
more recently as someone who has been here during the pornban and as an asexual really enjoyed the quiet with no drama farming and a slow pace to talk about more unique political topics in a measured way it is something im strangely nostalgic for and a great example of my sensibilities to people when they insist that i use other platforms like discord or twitter or whatever clone for these services comes out of the old guard introducing feature creep to copy everyone else or any other indi "were the anti corporate version" of the endless scroll apps. i just dont want it. tumblr is special because im desktop only, been here for years, and i have kept track of every single change made so i have manually adjusted the change through hacks to evade every bad decision on here and make my set up look identical to how it was in 2010. so let it be understood that i tend to be a loney person because of this stubbornness. web 3.0 is too dangerous to people with addictive tendencies that my adhd brings out and my need to wear my heart on my sleeve. so i hope i defended my personality type enough to show why someone like me would see a post about some horrible abuses they have fell victim to who also share alot of the marginalized status as me and writing depressive things in the replys of others posts as to attention seek about it.
i directly interact with this person, not only to check if they are real (but wow, modern chat bots make this part horrifying for me. we really cant ever know for sure what is real anymore. trying to find warmth on the internet feels impossible now a days) i have multiple conversations at this point both venting and just casually shooting the shit. but the begging for me to constantly repost their paypal makes me so nervous in a way that i feel so guilty for because it reminds me of all the scams that get associated with this kind of ebegging and the reminder that capitalism takes away all warmth from human interaction to make them purely transnational and conditional. but then it just has been escalating where im so scared that now its not enough that im reposing on my 8 follower, all mutual blog, they are asking me to share it on other socials. accounts i do not have i have a flip phone and a laptop and i am tinkering with a windows 7 tower that will never be connected to the internet so i can always have software sit perfectly in its time capsule for when i need it. i do not have a way to help this person outside of what i learned from collage psyche classes. a part of me is so scared to just abruptly cut them off and just delete my entire account like i tend to do often on tumblr for a multitude of reasons, its a part of what lets people survive being here this long but i worry that would crush them if i did that, i dont want to make them feel more hopeless and unwanted then they already talk about. but i am text on the internet through a screen. i can only do so much. so would i be the asshole if i just deleted my account with a "i hope you hang in there, the world is a harsh place but keep moving" to cut someone so similar to me who is struggling out of my life?
What are these acronyms?

So, I recently got into ENA and played through Dream BBQ. I have some a Theory:
I've seen a lot of people referring to the world Ena takes place in as the dream world, and not a lot of people talking about different references to the world being digital or like created with code in some way. Ex. in one of the shorts Ena goes inside code, there's a ton of references to different early video games, at one point in the game there's a bunch of computer files just sitting out. I don't think the world is literally meant to be a representation of the internet ala cyberchase or reboot but it does tie into what I think Ena is.
So, there's definitely multiple Enas and multiple characters in game make references to knowing different versions of Ena. Some people have speculated that an "ena" might be like a species but I have a slightly different take. So, in web 3.0 and early ai literature there's the concept of an agent. Basically like a more advanced version of siri, it's an ai assistant that can do more then retrieve information or find a website, a lot of people thought and still think it's the natural next step with personal technology. My thinking is Ena is something like an agent that can take a physical form. That's why there's multiple versions of her, that's why everyone seems to know her deal and (spoilers) why she seems to just get better after dying.
I'm still on my second play through of the game, so I might write more of my thoughts later if I have them. I will add we only have the first chapter of the game, so I don't think we can really draw any big conclusions about it's Themes™ yet.

Your All-in-One AI Web Agent: Save $200+ a Month, Unleash Limitless Possibilities!
Imagine having an AI agent that costs you nothing monthly, runs directly on your computer, and is unrestricted in its capabilities. OpenAI Operator charges up to $200/month for limited API calls and restricts access to many tasks like visiting thousands of websites. With DeepSeek-R1 and Browser-Use, you:
• Save money while keeping everything local and private.
• Automate visiting 100,000+ websites, gathering data, filling forms, and navigating like a human.
• Gain total freedom to explore, scrape, and interact with the web like never before.
You may have heard about Operator from Open AI that runs on their computer in some cloud with you passing on private information to their AI to so anything useful. AND you pay for the gift . It is not paranoid to not want you passwords and logins and personal details to be shared. OpenAI of course charges a substantial amount of money for something that will limit exactly what sites you can visit, like YouTube for example. With this method you will start telling an AI exactly what you want it to do, in plain language, and watching it navigate the web, gather information, and make decisions—all without writing a single line of code.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to build an AI agent that performs tasks like scraping news, analyzing social media mentions, and making predictions using DeepSeek-R1 and Browser-Use, but instead of writing a Python script, you’ll interact with the AI directly using prompts.
These instructions are in constant revisions as DeepSeek R1 is days old. Browser Use has been a standard for quite a while. This method can be for people who are new to AI and programming. It may seem technical at first, but by the end of this guide, you’ll feel confident using your AI agent to perform a variety of tasks, all by talking to it. how, if you look at these instructions and it seems to overwhelming, wait, we will have a single download app soon. It is in testing now.
This is version 3.0 of these instructions January 26th, 2025.
This guide will walk you through setting up DeepSeek-R1 8B (4-bit) and Browser-Use Web UI, ensuring even the most novice users succeed.
What You’ll Achieve
By following this guide, you’ll:
1. Set up DeepSeek-R1, a reasoning AI that works privately on your computer.
2. Configure Browser-Use Web UI, a tool to automate web scraping, form-filling, and real-time interaction.
3. Create an AI agent capable of finding stock news, gathering Reddit mentions, and predicting stock trends—all while operating without cloud restrictions.
A Deep Dive At ReadMultiplex.com Soon
We will have a deep dive into how you can use this platform for very advanced AI use cases that few have thought of let alone seen before. Join us at ReadMultiplex.com and become a member that not only sees the future earlier but also with particle and pragmatic ways to profit from the future.

Music's Origins
Much of human history is silent. We have lost the exact sounds of anyone living prior to the invention of the phonograph in 1877. We have lost the sound of any music not written down or passed down prior to the advent of musical notation in approximately 1400 BCE.

Singing was most likely the first type of music, though why humans started singing isn't certain. What we can know from modern peoples that are preliterate is that that singing likely contained mimicry of sounds found in nature. It also likely would have been different in a cave compared to a valley compared to an open area because of the acoustics amplifying and distorting various sounds. It likely impacted all parts of life, from hunting to religious or shamanistic practices. The presence and location of the hyoid bone, a horseshoe shaped bone that anchors the tongue and other muscles at the base of the mouth, in Neanderthals going back at least 60,000 years ago, based on the oldest one we have found, was in the same place that our hyoid bone is, making it possible for them to make the same range of sounds we can, so there's a good chance they also made music similar to that of early modern humans. Some research also points to 'motherese', the higher pitched, simplified, and rhythmic way people talk to babies, may be a source of music, as well.

The oldest item that is unquestioningly a musical instrument is a bone flute that dates back to about 43,150-39,370 years ago. This is within the time frame that Neanderthals still were on the earth. There are hollow bones with deliberate holes in them that go back over 100,000 years ago. Research suggests that rhythmic instruments could have developed from stone working and the sounds of working, such as pounding seeds and roots, or as a way to keep people in tandem for work or dance, or as entertainment. There are also studies on tonal instruments made of rocks such as lithophones and ringing rocks and how they would resonate in various locations, including megalithic sites.

During the Old Kingdom of Egypt, from about 2700-2200 BCE, stringed instruments begin to show up in artwork with arched or bow harps in murals with single and double pipes. Percussion instruments, including cymbals, and lutes were added by the Middle Kingdom, 2040-1782 BCE.

The earliest writing of music is found in the cuneiform tablets of Sumer. Musical theory and instructions on composing and performing music have been found dating to 2000 BCE, though exact interpretations are varied. The oldest written music is from Ugarit from about 1400 BCE, which was a Hurrian hymn to Nikkal, a goddess who was the spouse of the moon god. The Hurrians lived north of the Akkadians and also used cuneiform script.
You can listen to the Hurrian Hymn here (15 years old recording) or here (by Peter Pringle, 4 years ago).

i would've been such a good web 2.0 youtuber. before the platform became sponsor and monetized hell. i could've been older jan misali but now it's impossible to compete with people who make 1 video per day by making chatgpt write their scripts and ai edit their videos and the videos are shit but are barely passable as something that isn't total slop and they add 5 billion ads and sponsorships to it, and it gets millions of views because they put out a video every day. it's very demoralizing to be a person with thoughts and opinions on web 3.0

MY REFLECTION WHAT I LEARN IN EMPOWERMENT TECHNOLOGY
Tumblr media
Empowerment technology is a great idea for students like me, to learn better, understand better and to socialize. Using technology is very convenient and it is easy to use and you get faster information, it is very applicable in education. As a student, I learn better by using technology and empowerment technology is teaching us the way of using technology it gives us information how to be more responsible of using it for good intention and that is by education. I learn so much about empowerment technology it helps us to know more about ICT or Information Communication Technology. I learn about the WWW or World Wide Web, internet, static and dynamic web pages, key features, semantic web, several problems about 3.0, mobile technologies, trends in ICT, mobile OS, how to be safe online, six types of social media, internet threats and many more are the lessons that we tackled and learb about. And these lessons help me, the new generation or the millennials to be responsible enough to use technology in means of education.
Tumblr media
Empowerment technology is one of my subject in third trimester. And for the three months of Class Lectures, Projects, Assignments and Performance task, i have learned a lot. more than what I needed. I’am a person who is not techie, yes, I may love to surf the internet that much but that’s all. Doing computer works like Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel is not my thing and I hate doing it also. I’m ignorant with its features but then when we had subject, it thought me the things I never knew. I learned also the Key Features of different kinds of web pages. And Empowerment Technology course thought me how to handle the internet with safety and security. It has also taught me the different online platforms tools for Information, Communicaton and Technology Content Development. I also can say that this subject was useful and very helpful because today’s modern world, we shall know how to be within the trend. And right now, technology has a really fast pacing. Whenever, there’s one gadget coming out, different inventions also of gadgets will follow. I’ve also learned a lot in different malwares, adwares and phishing–It made me aware what are the things that could possibly harm my personal gadgets or computer. I can relate Empowerment technology to my life by saying that for example, In the Personal Computer we can download everything that but its just that there is something that we should always be careful of: the Virus. It may cause a greater harm than we ever thought, and Just like in life, when we ask too much, when we download what we want; saying that we didn’t intended to do so, or assuming that we didn’t think of its possibilities and impossibilities, its causes and effects to us, we end up being greedy that it causes harm in our very own selves. I have come to understand that Empowerment Technology made my learning skills more in trend and explore and discover in a looks of a valuable and interesting. Empowerment Technology allowed me to a finer interactivity in order to cope up with the experience of learning based on what I needed. Instead of using the “old way” of learning like writing all the articles in hand-written, we had it using WordPress and it made me, as student, to utilize the material we had-which is laptop- to make it easier. The thought also of Empowerment Technology made my life easy as in this course, we have been educated to do research and so with the help of Internet-as of one of our lectures- it is a powerful tool for it became as way of us, the students to have a active learning and provides opportunities for authentic learning experience.
Tumblr media
And so, I thank my subject Mr. Erica Decapia for giving me the things i need to learn throughout this subject that she made me less ignorant with the technology. Five hundred words are more than enough to describe how thankful I am that we had this subject this trimester for us to help to be with one in the trend.
Tumblr media
As technology advances, our leisure time is increasing this statement make a rather unreal assumption. It is in our nature to invent, improve, innovate and think of a better ways in order to make solutions in every problems that we might encounter in our daily lives. Nowadays, technology controls everything even ourselves and the things we use to do, everything is changing and technology changes us all. The development of technology will continue to expand rapidly.
Tumblr media
Empowerment is the process of becoming stronger, more confident and in control of what might happen while technology deals with the creation and use of technical means and their interrelation with life and society. Empowerment technology help us strengthens our scientific knowledge in order for us to learn how to apply different technology-related information at certain things in our lives. The extent of ICT integrated in the teaching learning process in Senior High School have a positive impact in every student like us especially were taking ABM strand. In our Empowerment Technology subject our activities are to be done through the use of social media, this blog that we create using WordPress is one of these example. For us, it paves the way for self- discovery.

Writing prompts: Weird little robots in my life right now
1. Gas station that says “front door” every time the door open in a tinny voice clearly recorded 20 years ago.
2. An oddly sensual GPS lady voice whose most common refrain is “keep going straight.”
Uh yeah, I was already doing that. Why did you have to tell me? Are you trying to say something about my driving? Are you trying to say something about my straightness, oddly sexy disembodied lady voice?
3. An Apple Maps male narrator I’ve named John, whom I’ve realized that—due to the bizarre nature of my car’s touch pad and bluetooth—I can force to shut up mid direction if I press the pause button fast enough.
It brings me endless joy to randomly shut John up when he’s about to tell me to make a right turn, though it does make me feel like a robot bigot they’d show in a poorly written sci-fi movie.
4. My evil Homebase app, which makes me sound like I’ve got a cool, high-tech, and nefarious lair for military planning sessions, but in actuality is the APP-BASED DIGITAL KEY I use to ENTER MY PHYSICAL HOME.
I have to emphasize that don’t have real keys, I have a virtual account I use to unlock my door through Bluetooth. If I lose my phone, I’m done. I can’t get in. I’m one step away from being subscription pay-walled in getting into my own house. The real evil was not my lair full of booby traps, but Web 3.0 all along.
5. The nice Chinese Bluetooth lady who tells me “Battery is low” in a slight accent whenever I need to top up my wireless earbuds. Such a kind woman.
6. The EVIL smoke detector who keeps telling me its battery is low with erratic screeches. Such an EVIL creature.
It should rot in Smoke Detector Hell. Which, as it turns out, is much the same as Human Hell. It’s full of smoke and fires for it to continuously fail to detect. Forever.
Please tell me about the weird little robots in your life!!

The Evolution of Web Development: A Journey Through the Years
Web development is the work involved in developing a website for the Internet (World Wide Web) or an intranet .
Origin/ Web 1.0:
Tim Berners-Lee created the World Wide Web in 1989 at CERN. The primary goal in the development of the Web was to fulfill the automated information-sharing needs of academics affiliated with institutions and various global organizations. Consequently, HTML was developed in 1993.
Web 2.0:
Web 2.0 introduced increased user engagement and communication. It evolved from the static, read-only nature of Web 1.0 and became an integrated network for engagement and communication. It is often referred to as a user-focused, read-write online network.
Web 3.0:
Web 3.0, considered the third and current version of the web, was introduced in 2014. Web 3.0 aims to turn the web into a sizable, organized database, providing more functionality than traditional search engines.
Tumblr media
This evolution transformed static websites into dynamic and responsive platforms, setting the stage for the complex and feature-rich web applications we have today.
Static HTML Pages (1990s)
Introduction of CSS (late 1990s)[13]
JavaScript and Dynamic HTML (1990s - early 2000s)[14][15]
AJAX (1998)[16]
Rise of Content management systems (CMS) (mid-2000s)
Mobile web (late 2000s - 2010s)
Single-page applications (SPAs) and front-end frameworks (2010s)
Server-side javaScript (2010s)
Microservices and API-driven development (2010s - present)
Progressive web apps (PWAs) (2010s - present)
JAMstack Architecture (2010s - present)
WebAssembly (Wasm) (2010s - present)
Serverless computing (2010s - present)

Sup, The name's Ash, welcome to my daydreaming blog. The place where I like to go on and on and on about people and places that don't exist! Most of my daydreams consists of dorks hanging out and sometimes having a mental crisis, (lol).
Along with some melodrama, I like throwing in some romance too! Teases, stolen glances, some loving bickering here and there, confessions blurted out during a passion rant, nothing too spicy, tbh.
Other than posting about my own daydreams and paras, I reblog other post by fellow daydreamers. I might post a notion template or some artisty template or two to help with visualizing daydreams better, too.
Since the start of this blog I've grown more confident in sharing some of my writings so you'll prolly see of that on here too. On here and my writing blog I post my writing in snippets but my Typepad writing blog is I post full writings and archive writings in general.

Recommending Video Essays #2
Still feel bad, here’s another one.
Recommendation: In Search of a Flat Earth by Folding Ideas (https://youtu.be/JTfhYyTuT44)
youtube
If you spend much time on the internet at all, Dan Olson's work on his channel Folding Ideas is required reading. The obvious recommendation from his channel is Line Goes Up – The Problem With NFTs. I would argue that this single video alone did more damage to the reputation of NFTs and the crypto-sphere than any thing else in recent memory, and most likely completely destroyed NFTs as an emerging institution at the peak of it's popularity. This is a truly remarkable feat, and speaks volumes to the quality and power of Dan's writing. Despite the insane impact of Line Goes Up, my choice for recommendation is still In Search of a Flat Earth.
[SPOILERS FOR THE VIDEO. IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE VIDEO YET, SERIOUSLY GO AND WATCH IT]
In Search of a Flat Earth would be my recommendation if the video was only the first half of the video. But the video pushes itself even higher by drawing a very real link what used to be the Flat-Earthers of Facebook, and now rising right-wing hardcore accelerationist movements, like Q-Anon and it’s descendants, that are gaining traction not just in the US but all around the world now, making the video more relevant now than it was in 2020. The video also gains bonus points for having the hardest final line of a video essay ever.
Folding Ideas is a very easy channel to recommend as a whole. More required reading recommendations are:

I just need to vent
I'm so depressed. But it feels different from my Capital D Depression because at least when I take medication my Capital D Depression chills out.
Like it feels physically different. I remember what it felt like before I was medicated, this does NOT feel like that. I remember how I would talk to myself before and it is not like that.
I honestly don't think i can pills and therapy my way out of this one.
I can't get out of this goddamn funk because I'm stuck in a living situation that is actually capital H Hell because somehow I am perpetually unlucky.
It's the first day of school again and once again I am at home with no job. Everyone tells me I'm good at teaching, I never get negative feedback when I'm observed, students and parents like me BUT SOMEHOW I never get to keep a job! Somehow there is always someone better and more qualified than me! HOW IS THAT STILL POSSIBLE I've been teaching for 12 years!!! I've taught literally every grade and every version of language arts offered in our district, from newcomer english to APIB. But then I see people fresh out of college getting hired and I think - is it me??? Am I doing something wrong??? nobody tells me I am but I can't get a job so clearly it's me???
I live in one of the pockets of Red in CA so our district is very conservative, and I'm hearing talks of book bans and parent rights and CTR and I know I'm not Out but I wonder if it's that, or if I should even be staying here at all.
But then I can't leave because I can't make the money to afford moving!
My normal outlets and coping strategies don't help because it's inescapable. And now internet 3.0 is sucking out what little joy I was getting from those things.
I make things and I want people to see them and say something, but I spend hours on a painting and I get no response. I ask questions and nobody answers. And I think "ah, but you should make things because you love to make them, not because of the attention it brings you" but YOU KNOW WHAT IT WOULD JUST BE NICE IF LITERALLY ANYONE TOLD ME I WAS DOING A GOOD JOB AT ANYTHING?
I'm so TIRED of clearly being good at my job, being good at writing, being a good artist, and yet I get NO acknowledgement from people UNLESS I have predicated it with self deprecation or shove it into people's faces and ask them directly "Hey tell me you like this".
And I KNOW this is 100% not because I'm bad at what I do. It's because the way things are structured now on the internet makes it basically impossible for me to be seen by anyone who isn't already looking for me. And maybe I wouldn't be so dependent on it if I hadn't come from an adolescence Old Web where it was a lot easier to discover and talk to other artists and I had people communicating with me directly about what I was making instead of just liking it and leaving it in the void.
And I WANT to decouple myself, I want to not feel like I NEED the numbers to go up to be happy, but I can't STOP sharing things online because I'm becoming more and more isolated and it's the only way to share things with the people who DO care. Friends I've had my whole life are moving away from me in the physical world, and online friends i've known for decades are disappearing in waves because of policy changes and then they're just Gone. The internet is the only way I can keep in touch with people but it's ALSO my biggest tormentor because every SECOND someone isn't talking to me I feel as though I'm being purposefully ignored.
BUT every second someone IS talking to me it becomes a guilt spiral of "ah shit, how have I guilted this person into pitying me because Evidence shows people would MUCH rather not talk to me." And I KNOW that's not true!!!! People have lives outside me!!! But my world is getting smaller and smaller and feels more and more empty and the best thing to do is LEAVE and let my world get BIGGER with MORE THINGS in it but I can't AFFORD to leave and nobody around me is obligated to drop what they're doing to make me feel like the world isn't ending.
AND YEAH IT FEELS LIKE THE WORLD IS ENDING.
I don't want to feel that way but I do!!!!! I feel like everything is on the verge of collapse, and who is going to need ME when the world ends? Nobody! Nobody will ! They all have someone else they'd turn to first and I WOUDN'T WANT THEM TO ANYWAY! What good am I??
I just need everyone to stop what they're doing and HOLD me and tell me I did the best I could??? How selfish! How self centered! Who am I to ask that!? The world is ending and all I can think about is me.
AND IT'S SO FRUSTRATING BECAUSE I KNOW. I KNOW IF I JUST HAD AN INCOME NONE OF THIS WOULD BE HAPPENING TO ME. I don't feel this way when I'm working, even on my VERY meager teacher's salary! But I can't keep a job long enough to GET OUT OF HERE. I just work JUST long enough to have hope, and then I'm unemployed again!
I JUST WANT TO LIVE! I JUST WANT TO HAVE A PLACE THAT IS MINE! I JUST WANT TO LIKE WHO I AM AND WHAT I DO! AND I JUST WANT SOMEONE TO SEE ME AND I KNOW I'M SEEN AND THAT'S ENOUGH.
and the worst part is i know i will be refreshing this all day hoping to see SOMEONE, ANYONE commenting. because number goes up. and that will feel good for ten minutes.

This works in college, too. I'm a habitual procrastinator, so when I hear the word "extension," that just gives me more time to breathe before I panic write essays three hours before they're due.
This past semester, one of my professors was kind about offering extensions, but put due date times at like... 4 PM? 2 PM? Some bullshit like that rather than the standard 11:59 PM deadline. And whether from undiagnosed ADHD or the state of the world making Political Sociology impossible to listen to, I would go into assignments with two or three sarcastic quotes from my professor I happened to zero in on and his very sparse slideshows (because the content is in the actual lecture, you see).
And for whatever reason, I refuse to take notes during any of my classes. My brain refuses to let me actually sit down, listen, and write notes. I've coasted through three years of college having written a total of maybe 2? Pages of actual notes? And yet I remain in good academic standing with a 3.0 GPA (which might've been higher had I not started out as a chem major and repeatedly slammed my head into walls failing tests, but that's besides the point). I never had gotten a C in my life prior to college, but after twelve years of academic pressure I've had to learn it's okay to fail sometimes (I'm still learning).
Back to my point, this particular paper had to be five pages long about... something, I don't remember. Five pages with absolutely nothing in the tank, a 4 PM deadline that I cut to a noon deadline because I had errands to run with friends I'd set up days prior. And with nothing but hopes and dreams and pure bullshit on my side, I wrote all those five pages in less than two hours.
I got a 78 on it and a note that said it was a brilliantly written essay, it just didn't entirely follow the prompt. The other two essays I wrote in that class (one five page, and an 8 page paper), and my final presentation, I got 89s across the board. With my own two hands and a brain full of bullshit. I didn't know what I was talking about half the time.
Or in another class where we had to write weekly reflections. I got a 22/25 on one of these papers with a note that said my professor could clearly see where I'd brought in knowledge from the textbook and used it well. Points lost for not citing the textbook...
...The textbook that I never bought or read a single page of. College textbooks are expensive and after my first semester of freshman year where I bought all of them and only used maybe one, I refuse to buy textbooks at all. Not second hand, not paying for pdfs. I wait until I'm certain I absolutely need it and then I scour the web for a less than legal upload (if our library doesn't have an online copy I can get easily). Remember, save for that first semester I've made it through classes with mostly As and Bs. Without textbooks.
You could subpoena my search history across all my devices, and not once have I even looked up ChatGPT or any other AI writing or image generating websites. My extremely lazy and heavy procrastination style of schoolwork without notes and playing Star Wars: The Old Republic instead of any actual study (because I find that studying psychs myself out and makes me overthink when my gut instinct is usually right anyways) is 100% authentically man made.
Education is bullshit, so you have to bullshit back. The world is bullshit, so you have to bullshit back. And it has to be your bullshit. You'll have to pry my man made, probably ADHD powered, bullshit out of my cold, dead hands. Put the generator down and use your fucking brain, even if what you produce sucks. It's still yours.

Inclusive Design Practices in Web Accessibility Standards
New Post has been published on https://www.justwebdevelopment.com/blog/inclusive-design-practices-in-web-accessibility-standards/
Inclusive Design Practices in Web Accessibility Standards
More than 1.3 billion people live with a disability today, according to the World Health Organization. Online, they still meet walls: missing captions, vague buttons, tiny hit areas. Laws are tightening, but the bigger motivation is simply good service.
When we weave Inclusive Design Practices in Web Accessibility Standards into each sprint, we remove friction for everyone—shoppers on shaky Wi-Fi, parents juggling toddlers, commuters with one free hand.
Over the next few minutes (about 2,500 words), you will learn:
How inclusive design differs from basic “accessibility compliance.”
The key principles that underpin all modern standards.
Updates you must know in 2025—WCAG 2.2, the European Accessibility Act, the new U.S. ADA rule, and the draft WCAG 3.
Practical, bite-sized techniques you can add to projects today.
A maintenance rhythm that keeps inclusion alive after launch.
Inclusive vs. Accessible: Clear Up the Confusion
Accessible design focuses on meeting published technical criteria—typically WCAG success criteria. It answers the question, “Can a disabled visitor complete the task?”
Inclusive design starts earlier and digs deeper. It asks, “Does the experience respect the full range of human ability, language, culture, and context?” Put differently:
Accessible designInclusive designFixes barriers after they appearAnticipates and avoids barriers upfrontMeasures pass/fail against WCAGMeasures how many people feel left outOften handled by QA at the endBaked into research, sketching, copy, and dev
Embracing inclusive thinking helps teams move from retrofits to resilient solutions.
  Core Principles Behind Every Standard
Standards use different words, but four timeless ideas unite them. Remember the POUR acronym:
Perceivable – Information must arrive through at least one sense that a user can rely on.
Operable – Every function works with the tools a user has: keyboard, voice, eye-tracking, and switch device.
Understandable – Content, layout, and feedback remain predictable and plain.
Robust – Code works across browsers, assistive tech, and time.
WCAG 2.2’s nine new criteria live under these principles, and WCAG 3 (now in draft) is expected to carry them forward too.
  The Latest Web Accessibility Standards
The phrase above is the anchor you can use when linking internally: The Latest Web Accessibility Standards. Here is what “latest” means right now:
WCAG 2.2 (W3C Recommendation, 12 Dec 2024)
Adds criteria such as Focus Appearance (Enhanced) and Target Size (Minimum), addressing mobile tap errors and low-vision focus loss.
WCAG 3.0 (Working Draft, 12 Dec 2024)
Promises a friendlier scoring model (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and broader coverage of emerging tech, including VR and voice UIs.
European Accessibility Act (EAA)
Applies 28 June 2025. From that date, most consumer-facing websites, e-books, banking apps, and e-commerce platforms operating in the EU must align with WCAG 2.2 AA (or equivalent) or face fines.
United States—ADA Title II Final Rule
Effective April 2026–2027 (size-based), state and local governments must meet WCAG 2.1 AA at a minimum. Private-sector rule-making is expected next, but lawsuits already cite WCAG in court.
Keep a simple tracker in your backlog: list the standard, due date, coverage scope, and a single owner inside your team.
  Practical Inclusive Design Practices (Step-by-Step)
1. Structure First, Style Second
Write one, clear <h1> per page; nest headings in order.
Use <nav>, <main>, <article>, <aside>, <footer>—screen-readers leapfrog by these landmarks.
2. Color & Contrast
Minimum 4.5:1 ratio for body text (3:1 for 24 px bold).
Never rely on color alone: pair red/error with icons or text.
3. Keyboard & Focus
Every control is reachable with Tab, activatable with Enter or Space.
Provide a 2-pixel outline or comparable highlight that meets contrast rules when focused.
4. Input Slack
Targets at least 24 × 24 CSS px per WCAG 2.2.
Avoid “drag only” interactions; offer plus/minus buttons or list re-order shortcuts.
5. Alternative Text & Captions
Alt text answers: “Why is this image here?”
Live and prerecorded videos need accurate captions; add audio description if visuals carry meaning.
6. Motion & Media Queries
Respect prefers-reduced-motion. Offer a static fallback for parallax or auto-carousel features.
Support forced colors / high-contrast modes in Windows and Android.
7. Responsive & Flexible Layouts
Components grow or stack gracefully at 200 % zoom.
Use relative units (em, rem, %) rather than fixed pixels for spacing.
8. Error Prevention & Recovery
Label every form control; supply clear placeholders and visible labels.
Explain errors in plain language and describe how to fix them.
Preserve user input on validation failure.
Small, continuous checkpoints catch more than one giant audit.
Designing for Mobile, Voice, and Multimodal Contexts
Inclusive experiences must travel with the user:
Touch gestures: Offer single-tap equivalents for multi-finger or swipe actions.
Voice UIs: Provide speech-friendly labels (“Search flights”) and avoid tiny, generic IDs (“button 12”).
Offline or low-bandwidth modes: Defer huge media, show progress indicators, and cache key tasks.
Dark mode: Ensure contrast in both color schemes; test with automatic OS toggles.
Consider the “bend test”: hold the device with your non-dominant hand while carrying groceries, and try to complete checkout. If you can, many users with limited dexterity can too.
  Testing and Validation Workflow
Automated scan (Lighthouse, axe-core) during CI build—catches ~30 % of issues.
Manual keyboard sweep—Tab through each template.
Screen-reader spot check—NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on Mac/iOS.
Contrast sampling—quick checks with browser devtools eyedropper.
Real-user testing—invite people with varied abilities; pay them, use their insights.
Schedule these gates: design hand-off, QA staging, pre-release, and every quarterly release thereafter. Document findings in plain language (“link lacks focus outline”) to keep reports actionable.
  Building an Inclusive Culture
Rules do not shift mindsets; stories do. Try these habits:
Open meetings with a 30-second empathy snapshot—a teammate demos a screen reader on yesterday’s build.
Add accessibility completion as a Definition-of-Done checkbox next to unit tests.
Celebrate wins: post before/after gifs of a fixed focus ring in Slack.
Budget for continuous training; bookmark W3C tutorials and run micro-workshops.
When leaders ask for ROI, share both risk (lawsuits) and upside: accessible sites load faster, reduce bounce, and rank higher.
  SEO and Business Upside
Inclusive design and search optimization often walk the same path:
Inclusive techniqueSEO boostUX gainSemantic HTML & headingsBetter crawl & snippet structureClearer page outlineAlt text on imagesImage search trafficScreen-reader contextFast, media-optimized pagesCore Web Vitals scoresLower abandonmentCaptions & transcriptsKeyword-rich text for botsUsable in noisy spacesLogical link textHigher click-through in SERPsEasier navigation
Google’s crawler reads almost like a screen reader. Meet one, please both.
  Road-Map: From Audit to Evergreen
PhaseWhat to deliverTime-frame1. SnapshotBaseline audit (auto + manual)Week 12. PrioritizeRank issues by impact & effortWeek 23. Fix criticalContrast, keyboard traps, and missing labelsWeeks 3–64. ValidateUser testing with assistive techWeek 75. DocumentPattern library snippets, inclusive copy guidelinesWeek 86. AutomateLint rules, CI scanners, PR checklistsOngoing7. ReviewQuarterly regression audits, update to The Latest Web Accessibility StandardsEvery 3 months
Pin this to your roadmap tool; give each step a single owner so nothing falls through the cracks.
  Conclusion: Inclusion Is Continuous
Inclusive Design Practices in Web Accessibility Standards are not boxes to tick, but conversations to keep alive. The standards will evolve—WCAG 3’s bronze-to-gold model hints at future flexibility—but the people behind the numbers simply want to bank online, learn new skills, or order dinner.
Let’s build a web where nobody needs to ask for an accommodation—because the door is already wide open.
