Gawd, even DuckDuckGo's searches is ultimately worthless now, and they're supposed to be the anti-google.
Query: "sensitive skin hair bleach"
Results: "how to bleach your [normie skin] at home!" (my skin is not normie) "how to bleach chest and body hair" (I barely have any to begin with) "how hair bleach works" (i don't care) "how to bleach your skin for a lighter complexion!" (die I hate you)

ResearchBuzz 27th Anniversary and My Ability to Use the Toilet Unassisted
Yesterday was ResearchBuzz’ 27th anniversary. I don’t make a big deal of anniversaries anymore, there is no reason for anyone to care, but this year I did want to add a little bit and just make a statement about my existence. There’s been a lot of talk from certain individuals about autism lately. About how autistic people can’t date, or write poetry, or use the toilet unassisted. How they…

The Romanticore ☣︎
a manticore whom had become so lonely, it behaved romantically toward any creature
mantichora, manticora, man tiger
in mythology originating from ancient persian culture, the manticore is a creature with the head of human (usually with the addition of horns) the body of a lion, and the venomous spine and tail of a scorpion. they are evil. yet not much is stated of why it exists or attacks¿the manticore is symbolized in christianity as the mark of the devil, a beast, as it preys on humans, goats, pigs and other livestock needed for subsistence, the man-eater attacks using its claws and poisonous tail. it is advised to stay weary of its presence in the middle east and indian deserts. luckily their chances of survival start to slim at 60-150 years.
the romanticore abandons its nature for love
“those yawning jaws, my dental awe
three rows of incisors and not a single flaw”
the manticore has three rows of teeth which it uses to eat its victims whole leaving no bone behind

Huh, I've been using DuckDuckGo so long that I hadn't noticed how bad Google was. DDG is mainly running on a Microsoft Bing search back end with a lot of customization, which is not wonderful but good enough for lots of stuff. I hope the chatgpt contagion doesn't hit them too hard.

A Roundup of Current ResearchBuzz / Calishat Resources
I’ve gotten a few new Patreons recently and decided to do a writeup of the resources I’ve made that are available to Patreons only. But then I thought, “Wait, I should also do a list of all the freely-available resources I’ve made too, because there’s a lot of those.” And finally my actual neurons kicked in and I thought, “I should do one post on ResearchBuzz for the free stuff and one post on…

There should be a tag-based directory of the entire internet. I don't just mean every website, I mean every individual page. A combination of web crawlers and user submissions should be able to populate it as completely as possible, and then you can mostly just let the users decide how pages should be tagged, while occasionally applying certain tags to every page of a given site, as appropriate, and stepping in to resolve disputes.

When Googling is not enough...
I’m sorry friends, but “just google it” is no longer viable advice. What are we even telling people to do anymore, go try to google useful info and the first three pages are just ads for products that might be the exact opposite of what the person is trying to find but The Algorithm thinks the words are related enough? And if it’s not ads it’s just sponsored websites filled with listicles, just pages and pages of “TOP FIFTEEN [thing you googled] IMAGINED AS DISNEY PRINCESSES” like… what are we even doing anymore, google? I can no longer use you as shorthand for people doing real and actual helpful research on their own.
