This is a really weird question... but is it possible to be pansexual and asexual at the same time? It's been two years I still don't know if I'm asexual.. but when I say I'm pansexual some people said "it's impossible to be both" so idk I'm confused🥲

The allergy... What's it like for you?

I have met someone, who also goes to medieval festivals and dodges the stuff like Neo in the Matrix, because she's deathly allergic to it. But loves the fair and her group is very careful to keep her safe.

To me, if it gets on the skin, it gets itchy and red. Not as bad as it could be, considering. Funny story about working that one out. Accidentally discovered it in Gr12 chem class where we did the Make Mead/Alcohol experiement assessment, and I wanted to deglove myself from the elbows down to stop the itching. Took ages to like, connect the dots, I thought it was someone's perfume lmao.

Then one day I went to use this fun little bottle opener I got in a lucky dip on ancient beer cans (to take to containers for change) and ended up with it all over my arms. It was like that one pineapple werewolf post, it went everywhere. Oooh, did I put the pieces together that day lmao.

If I drink it, its fine for a bit but then you get hot and itchy but it's UNDER the skin. You can't do shit about it. It's like ants are crawling under there, concentrating in unusual locations (sometimes different to usual) and you think aout wanting a cheese grater. But that would ruin the Vibe.

Haven't really tried it for like, a decade or more. Ugh, hand sanitiser with high alcohol concentrations was annoying during covid, but I'd rather be itchy than an infection vector so *shrug*. I think it's not as bad as it once was, but you know... what if it's worse?

Not willing to chug hand sanitiser to find out.

You'd be surprised how much stuff has alcohol in it. Face washes/cleansers, mouth wash, perfumes, etc. Most of it doesn't do anything to me, but I know those with higher sensitivities struggle to get things to work.

ethyl alcohol is in a LOT of shit these days, if you're not sure just check the ingredients.

Have you ever come across an alcohol that made the side effects worth it?

Beer tastes like angry sock water. Vodka cruisers when mixed with bubbly soft drink flavours is still meh. And Wine is kind of... gross? Not sure which wine it was, but it was pretty hmm.

Very disappointing to miss out on cocktails, they look fun, but how can you even work out what you like. Not that they do them around here. Maybe I could make one at home, if I find a nice one.

The rest of the family did Not get this curse. Rude. but it means they don't mind drinking things I can't, if i try something.

You ever feel like you missed out on adult fun stuff/socialising?

When half the country's go-to hang-out is to get a drink, and the other half want a coffee, and you aren't a fan of either... it does kind of suck. Not to mention that parties as a teen in smaller towns are few and far between unless you're one of the Party People who get underaged blackout each weekend.

In retrospect, that's actually pretty sad. You wonder what was going on for them that made them think that's normal, that that's a good way to manage what's going on in their lives. But eh, retrospect.

Sometimes I forget that other writers don't have someone like my dad to ask all their questions to, which makes me feel super lucky, to be honest.

My dad is a knowledge sponge, he loves to learn and he absorbs the most interesting information, and he has a near eidetic memory. This means, I can ask him the weirdest questions and he has an answer most of the time.

Like, just today I asked him the average speed of an ATV and he gave me an answer right away. He just knew the answer. (It's 25 to thirty mph on average, but apparently, there are some that can get over 100)
