#Why does this evil triangle have to be so CUTE

Shifty is a delight. I love how baffled and stressed he makes his new friends. I'd love if he met "Dirty Ford" and the rest of the canon crew because I think he'd also make them baffled and stressed (except the stressed is mostly just Dipper seeing this guy who says he's his alternate dimension cousin, an alternate version of the shapeshifter that tried to kill him, his sister, and his friends).

Shifty's just having a great time. His alternate tried to murder his not-cousins. Fascinating. Is this more evidence that nurture has more to do with the morality of shapeshifters, or do shapeshifters work differently in this dimension? Maybe he can track down alternate Marcy, Darcy, and Jon and ask.

Dirty Ford is feeling retroactive guilt about Shifty being sentient. Like he definitely heard Cat Ford mention that but he did not process that until confronted with Cat Shifty.

Mabel's chill and excited about this Shifty. Sure, his alternate scared her pretty bad but he's just a silly guy like Grunkle Ford. He comes from a world where Grunkle Stan turns into a cute little cat. She needs to know all the alternate family tea.

Stan's like that's a bit weird, but he did punch a pterodactyl to save a pig and triangle to save the world, so alternate shapeshifting nibling is just, sure why not. Although he wishes he would stop telling the kids so much about how his alternate self got cursed to become a cat every time he steals (lame). He's worried this might give the kids (Mabel) ideas about turning him into a cat.

Inflicting cat dimension shifty on most other dimensions is like this honestly. Shifty doesn't make it out of the bunker in most cases, but cat Shifty doesn't hold it against his alternate family, because that's not him. He's not frozen in a bunker, and while he might feel bad for the other guy, he's living life just fine.

Which just makes everyone feel more guilty about the whole thing. Shiftys contemplating the differences between nature vs nurture, and how fascinating it is that his alternate self maybe almost killed his alternate parents and cousins. Meanwhile Fords going :( did I freeze a kid? Would my shifty be like this if I gave him a chance? Is it too late? (The answer to that last one is yes, too late to have his shifty be anything like cat shifty).

Mabel starts out uncomfortable, but she warms up pretty fast. Cat shiftys right after all! He is a different person then the one who almost killed her! He's also weird and funny like her grunkle! He's sharing all the fun stories about his family with her! How come her grunkle Stan can't be a cat :(

Dipper spends the entire time trailing him and watching every move suspiciously. He's a shapeshifter! They're evil! C!Shifty just shrugs. Maybe shapeshifters are evil here? He doesn't know! Eventually C!Shifty would win him over with his crazy lore drops. What does he mean he has four parents? Who's Carla? There's a coven in town? Why were you fighting dinosaurs? Dipper would get so lost trying to figure anything out about him and forget to be scared.

Stan is unaffected, except he would rather this guy stop telling everyone about his alternate self. That guy's lame, turns into a cat and snuggles people? Stan wouldn't be caught dead doing that. Ever. He needs his family to stop throwing puppy dog eyes his way about it. It's not happening.

Puppet history season 7 is the best season and here's why.

Once again gushing about puppet history season 7 because the writing is sooo good and I can't stop thinking about it.

I am one of these people who doesn't mind spoilers when going in, because a good story will not only have twists and turns but also a logical way to make the most of them. It's like finding clues along the way and thinking "Oh this might be something!" and then you have the satisfaction of being right at the end. This is why some TV shows fail because they don't like the audience finding the ending out for maximum shock value or whatever.

But I believe that even if you know the final twist of the season there's still ways to enjoy it.

The clues were there all along.

I also think that season 7 has great marks of a good tragedy (as in a well written tragedy and that's why all major points hit so well)

MAJOR SPOILERS beyond this point if you don't want to get spoiled then come back after watching the season.

(This turned out to be mostly a season 7 recap but I just. Love this story so much).

Let's start at the beginning and that's episode 1 of the season, which features Aria aka the guest that was there before lore got very lore-y in season 5. In this first episode we get the explanation on how things went when Aria left the studio in season 5, and that he didn't meet the professor yet (Because season 5 was hosted by a hologram who is really similar to the professor but like an evil twin).

This serves as both exposition and a way to get the viewer up to date on what's worth paying attention to. Ryan defeated that villain by defenestration which also was the topic of the second episode of season 5. (hint hint). The episode is about Pythagoras and establishes that Pythagoras was not only a mathematician but a cult leader. And we don't know if he lived or died. He's also supposedly afraid of beans, and we can see that the prize which was jellybeans for 6 seasons, is now changed to Phorgetydol which is a mysterious pill. On the surface not much, every episode of Puppet History has a topic about a whacky figure.

But then the lore happens, and it's established that a new puppet is in town - Dr. Sprat, which is also a blue puppet with a degree, and he 'helps out' (his glasses are triangle shaped, and he calls the triangle 'old friend' which seem like him just being polite but when you know the ending it makes you go !!!!!). Then Ryan and Professor are drugged and the puppet is in a 'retirement' room, which we are not sure what it does but can't be anything good. Man is suspicious! Surely he's evil.

In episode two, however it turns out that Sprat might not really know what he does, and Elmer is established as the worse villain (drugging everyone around including Dorothy Ruth to manipulate her). So here we have first seed of doubt because maybe Sprat is doing his job? Maybe he's not knowing what he's doing and there's a chance for him to be brought on the 'good side'.

In episode three, we have obviously further establishing Elmer as the bad guy, and while the dino parents were not mentioned before, here we have them coming back. And they are cute! But now knowing what we know there's an undercurrent of "oh no I hope they're not gonna go there". The viewer is still fooled by techincally Elmer doing the job, so it still doesn't put Sprat in the villain role, especially because we've seen him regret things in episode 2 (but those are said by Elmer, and at this point he's not that evil so we decide to trust him). The song and the story of the episode also tells us about "Pretending that a dead ruler is alive by simply not looking into a tent", and it has one of the coolest reprises since Asmodeus/meteorite song, with the "Perfectly normal room, nothing to see here."

Then in episode 4 the narrative changes to Ryan wanting to remember, and the first payoff happens, with Shane being dead all along. (But they didn't look at the memorial, because they were too drugged/in denial, and the villain did a great job of pretending that Shane is still alive by running the show. After all, Estranged Producer was deadbeat anyway and didn't listen to them, so what changed really?)

This is also where we get the payoff from the first episode of knowing what the 'drama' is -> that Shane was killed that night. This is also a fun rule of a tragedy where you introduce a character to be killed off by making him sympathetic. And also Shane himself saying "I will just walk into my carriage in a dark alleyway" (He won't make it there).

This episode also ends with a great cliffhanger of them maybe hunting for ghosts. Which in itself is bittersweet, and the show being created by Shane makes you think "But surely ghosts aren't real in a show written by a skeptic?".

Then again, this is puppet history so a world where magic is real, and puppets are antropomorphic. The plot was pretty dark up until this point so something good needs to happen so there's hope that they can win. And that's what happens in episode five, with them contacting Shane's ghost. Sprat also once again plays innocent and it seems like he might be on their side. He helps them out, and says he will keep watch for the horse and alert them if something happens.

The contact is successful, and there Shane's ghost gives a hint that he's seen all the other people they covered on the show except Pythagoras. This makes sense in context because he wants to deny that he's a ghost, but as a foreshadowing it makes so much more sense. (It's a hint that Pythagoras is still alive). They come up with a plan and it seems like they might succeed too.

But then, in episode six (appropriately titled and dealing with "mutiny") comes the betrayal. It also hinges on Ryan and Professor being stupid and naive, and just like Dinoparents before them they get locked in the puppet retirement room. By now the viewer knows what that means, and when the orange light is on it's one of the coolest moments to me.

Elmer looks dead and so it makes you think "Was he already killed? But then all the other puppets vanish when they go to purgatory so he can't be dead". You first get the satisfaction of defeating that horse which is clearly evil, but then it turns out that it's worse. Hoagy Sprat is Pythagoras, the villain and you were right to be suspicious of him. But there's also that form of betrayal because why would he help them if he hated them?

"No you fools. It's a puppet. I bought it in a store. For children!" is one of the greatest line deliveries I've heard. It is said slower than the monologue but that's because it has to sink in for Ryan and the Professor, but also for the audience. "A puppet manning another puppet" to us seems maybe kinda normal but it's not for the professor. It's kind of like... cutting someone and taking over their skin? (hint hint).

Sprat is so evil and it is fun to have a monologue so well acted. And he succeeds. Like all good tragedies, the heroes die at the end.

Then at the very end we get the punchline to a joke the professor made in episode one. Chekov's Puppet Mathematics is real. All seems lost but not yet. There's a mouse that you recognize from the previous seasons and maybe they might save the day? Or make things even wilder? We won't know at this point, but that's a great cliffhanger to end on. We know that the substitute is coming back at least.

All in all, the changing to Phorgetydol being roughly jelly-bean sized but not a bean (because Pythagoras hates beans) is my favorite hint that something's wrong aside from it's function to make you forget.

I think this season is a masterpiece. Truly beyond this surface level "Pythagoras is a crazy man who wants to kill everyone" it has that meta narrative of a show made with charm and love being replaced by numbers (cough cough youtube algorythm and not all of their shows being profitable), and the commentary on sponsorships stopping you from what you want to make. Because idk about you but I loved that the prize is jellybeans in a tiny cup, rather than a white suspicious pill that makes you forget that things are that bad.

hyperfixates on vegetables. Girl dresses up as a carrot for the fair and has a whole ass fancy royal greenhouse dedicated for veggies. Queen shit 🎉 Hell, all of her outfits are somehow nature inspired and I hc she sews many of them herself! :> Ask her about growing them, fertilizing and reaping, and she will NOT shut up. (also yes my Willace hc still stands that after some first inital difficulties, she and Mr. Tweedy become besties who infodump to each other about veggies and apples respectively <3)

Just like Wallace with cheese, her safefood and continual samefood is vegetables. She was that rare child who always ate her greens LMAO and preferred them to candy

Animals and caring for them is absolutely another hyperfixation point!! Her mansion after the movie's events becomes a bunny haven and she grows rabbits, both as pets for herself, and to give them away to people that she trusts would be caring owners

She also has a soft spot for other creatures too that are seen as pests or otherwise disgusting, and will always be open to adopting them instead of letting them get killed. Such as rats, cockroaches, ants, possums, raccoons, you name it.

(in fact Nick and Fetcher have more than often crashed in her place LMAO, pretty much using the mansion as a midway resting location, during their big trips to the mainland from Chicken Island. And I imagine they would at some point tell Ginger about Totty, which makes Ginger and the chickens wonder that maybe not all humans are evil to animals!)

Totty has a very strong extreme moral drive, and stirring away from it upsets her to the point of tears. (protecting innocent animals and getting rid of pests in humane ways, no matter how dangerous the situation gets. It does get irrational sometimes but she just can't bring herself to see any sort of critters in pain 💔💔💔💔THIS LADY HAS A BIG HEART OKAY???) She tries her best to make Lord Victor bend to that and be kinder to animals, even if that asshat is a lost cause.

The videogame adaptation also mentions she is a vegan, so she def gets massive discomfort from eating anything animal related

Her kind and forgiving, sentimental nature sometimes makes her stress herself out and put her energy to people who don't deserve it. It's clear that she is not happy with Victor, but she stays and tries to make it all work with him, because she wants to believe she can change him and bring out a kind man in him. (Girl please, your "I can fix him" game is off the charts) And she only dumps him for good once he crosses a line and tries to kill Wallace. Heck, maybe she does not have many genuine friends, also due to her noblewoman status being intimidating to many :( And that's also why she stayed with Victor, and it wasn't until meeting Wallace and Gromit that she was able to get out of the toxic relationship.

Victor clearly sees her as naive and annoying for her autistic quirks and personality during the movie, and is only after her because of her status, money and looks. Reducing her to a trophy. If that ain't a relatable autistic experience I don't know what is

In my hc universe she does not get romantically involved with Wallace. I know Aardman likes to shiptease them as canon and I don't have a problem with it, it's cute! I just personally prefer them as platonic friends, especially since the Were-Rabbit movie subverted the "love triangle" and "nice guy gets the girl" tropes where the whole punchline was that Totty in fact did NOT marry Wallace after him pining for her the whole movie, and it was so refreshing to see. Especially since Wallace was not upset at all about being rejected!! We stan a king 🫶🫶🫶

The whole scene of Totty going "I have caught feelings for you" was, in my hcs, Totty being comphet :''') 💔💔💔She has grown fond of Wallace because he is the first man in a long time who does not treat her like a pretty prize like Victor. And poor Totty, being the affection starved girlie that she is, who also has grown in a heteronormative British noble society, thinks that it means automatically romantic feelings. PLUS she is very touchy and affectionate when it comes to interacting with people she likes, so it's easy for people to mistake it for romantic interest

Either way she and Wallace are very good friends with autism 2 autism solidarity, and THIS SCENE LEGIT MAKES ME SO HAPPY, Totty showing her appreciation by copying Wallace's stim <3

Ongoing Series - Thai

Last Twilight (Fri YT) ep 8 of 12 - Mhok is about the most indulgent boyfriend on the planet. Why they dressed as 1930s gangsters for the wedding? I have no idea idea, but it’s adorable. IFYLITA mark 2? And they’re even dancing together using bits of the same steps that were used that show too. Cute nod.

The Sign (Sat YT) ep 6 of 10 - Everything but the kitchen sink includes lesbians apparently. Excellent. Carry on. Also a lot of filler about the sides. (Boring, stop that.) I wish the doctor were a little bit more of a multifaceted character (and less evil snakey), and that we had some of his backstory + Tharn. If we saw them as kids, having a longer true friendship, it would make Tharn’s attitude a little bit more sympathetic and forgiving.

For Him (Thurs iQIYI) ep 5 of 10 - I like this show, but it’s awfully one-sided in the romance arena. I mean shouldn’t they be trying to support and make each other happy? Why does it always have to come from Him? Also, I’m constantly worried about the fact that Nail doesn’t eat any vegetables. His digestive track must be in serious distress. And if the boy is a bottom?! Look I have concerns is all I'm saying, I hope he's getting his fiber along with the dk. Meanwhile... Mom confrontation! Always fun.  

Twins the series (Fri GaGa) ep 9 of 10 - Now I’m having a hard time keeping the twins straight. Who’s getting beat up for whom, what’s going on? No matter who, First caught himself a live one. I like those bits.

Pit Babe (Fri iQIYI) ep 7 of 14 - I got little crumbs of my sides but not enough, and then they dropped the mpreg bomb. Kinda like blowing the BL diaper. Trash watch happening here.

Cooking Crush (Sun YT) ep 5 of 12 - They are so cute. And mostly such good communicators. Except evil dad is evil! I didn’t have OffGun tango on my bingo card, but I'm happy to check it off. After making everyone sing, GMMTV is now making everyone dance. I much prefer it. Kiss came a bit out of nowhere. But it was sweet. 

A few minutes later...

Bake Me Please (Mon Gaga) ep 6fin - I don’t know, I feel like this just wasn’t good enough for the class of talent involved. Which means it’s mostly the story and script's fault. In the end I kinda just wanted Guy to get the guy.

In cluclusion:

A lack-luster story about a group of bakers coping with (mostly) a shoddy script that could not be saved by either the beauty nor the talent of the actors involved. It suffered for lack of narrative backbone and so did I. 6/10

Middleman’s Love (Fri YT & iQIYI ep 8fin - Mai is an adorable clingy boyfriend, and that bit was kind of cute.

Summation:

Office clown, Jade, a manic pixie dream dork, is courted by the new intern, Mai. This show is right in my wheelhouse but it fell flat for me. I wish it had lived up to the concept behind the title (if nothing else). If we had done more of Jade‘s family and the reasons behind his self-worth struggles and self-acceptance issues, they might have been easier to bare. Without backstory, the show had no through line. In the end, Jade was a largely intolerable character, and Mai felt flat and lacking in personality. I was disappointed with this show, and I hope they don't blame the pair for the poor ratings. 6/10

My Universe (Sun iQIYI) 1626 ep 19 of 24 - Meh. So dull.

Sahara-sensei to Toki-kun (Japan Fri Gaga) ep 4 of 8 - a bit too frenetic and manic for me, this one. Glasses boy is best boy. But I’m kind of confused as to was actually going on with this show. Including whether I like it or not.

I Became the Main Role of a BL (Japan Sun Gaga) ep 1-3 - AKA BL Drama no Shuen ni Narimashita: Crank Up Hen - it should finish airing at the very beginning of the year, so I decided to wait and watch all 3 back-to-back.

Playboyy (Thurs Gaga) 14 eps - Dear Playboyy, it's not you, it’s me… I hate you. You’re about as deep (and as palatable) as a shot glass of cum. While I'm sure you’re someone’s kink, you're my weakest link. Goodbye. I DNFed this at ep 5. Frankly I'm impressed with myself for getting that far.

Night Dream (Sat YT) 6 eps - It’s a pain to track down and I really didn’t like the first episode so… DNF  

The Whisperer (Sun ????) 10 eps - Thai horror BL that ALSO involves cheating (what joy is mine). I don't think even the perfect single dimple can motivate me to watch. Word is... it's terrible.

7 Days Before Valentine (Weds WeTV) 10 eps - Giving me Luminous Solution vibes. I'm waiting to binge if safe.

Okay, so I saw the new lion movie.

Things I liked:

No demonization of hyenas, even if I think it's utterly bizarre to show them peacefully capitulating to both Mufasa and Simba at different points in the timeline. I'm assuming that Shenzi's clan rebelled at some point, got exiled, and then Simba let them back in after they spared him from having to commit avunculicide.

Kiros is a fun villain, even if trading hyenas for white lions is kinda iffy in and of itself????? His villain song is actually a little bit of a banger. I like his horrible sisters.

The facial expressions and body language were a little bit uncanny valley at times, but are leagues ahead of 2019's TLK remake. I honestly really like how they managed to get a far wider range of expressions out of these super-realistic character models without it looking forced.

The movie genuinely looks gorgeous.

Most of the songs were pretty cute and catchy.

I like that Taka's betrayal does have some genuine nuance to it. I've heard people complain about how it "comes out of nowhere", but I really think the movie managed to not make it entirely about the love triangle, and planted the seeds of Taka having been set up to fail from the beginning, while also making it clear that he raised to believe he could do no wrong.

Taka's relationship with Mufasa is actually more believable than I thought it would be. Taka clearly thinks of their relationship as one where he's indisputably the superior of the two from the very beginning, and and I feel like this viewpoint, combined with how it fails to align with reality, have more to do with Taka's betrayal than Sarabi (which was more like a "straw that broke the camels back" thing).

Sarabi was cool.

Obasi and Eshe were neat and I like how they clearly have a very different pride "culture" than what we're used to seeing in these movies.

I wish we saw more of Mufasa's parents before they got separated. I also really wish they cut one of the endless Timon and Pumba gags, and had a scene where Mufasa's dad tells him about the great kings of the past instead.

Taka's pride were cannibals, and they got killed by Mads Mikkelsen.

Things I dislike:

“Mufasa must die for Kwisatz Haderach to rise. Don’t be frightened. Don’t resist. When you take a life, you take your own.”

Timon and Pumbaa's role needed to be trimmed down significantly. I don't know which disney exec needs to hear this, but the photorealistic warthog is not the same kid appeal character as the cartoon version. There's no reason to make adults sit through this.

Zazu is also a little unbearable at times.

Okay, why is the pacing in this movie so breakneck? It was the same thing with TLK2019???? Is there something about the CGI that makes it so that scenes have to be run at 2.0x speed???

Again, why would Rafiki think that this is a good bedtime story for a royal lion cub who's unaware that her parents have fucked off to give birth to her new baby brother? Girl's gonna throw that newborn off of pride rock.

The songs were fine, and they utilised the scenery a lot more to make the choreography more interesting....... but it's still just photorealistic animals prancing around each other.

Taka putting on the evil Scar voice the second he does a face heel turn is incredibly funny and not in a good way.

Mufasa and Sarabi's love song is possibly the most confusing song I've ever heard in a movie or show. What the fuck were they even talking about?

WHY WAS THERE A FUCKING RACE SCENE HOLY FUCK????? WHY DO THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE ANIMAL MOVIES THINK THAT EVERY ANIMAL STORY NEEDS A SUPERFLUOUS SCENE WHERE THE CHARACTERS HAVE A RACE I SWEAR TO FUCK

How long after all those prey animals helped to save Mufasa's dumb hide do you think he waited before he started eating them?

I like how the film basically writes an entire narrative about how leaders should be chosen by merit and not by divine right, but this is juxtaposed with clips of the daughter of Mufasa's biological heir, who rules entirely by divine right.

Shere Khan wasn't in it. Kiros and him would be drinking buddies though..

It's actually a surprisingly solid movie. I'd give it a good 6.5-7/10, but bear in mind that I tend to be pretty forgiving of these movies. Kinda think that there's a REALLY good movie on the cutting room floor here, but it got cut to make way for infinite slapstick segments with Timon and Pumbaa.

Why were Timon and Pumbaa even in this movie? If Kiara needed babysitting, why not just let some lionesses take care of her?

re krusie v suselle: Idk i don’t think the [suselle] development was as bad as everyone else thought but it was really interesting that they basically have the exact same dynamic [krusie] has once they got to know each other … which they are all major loser dorks also it seemed to be a lot of ‘lets feed both sides’ and both sides got lines/dialogue that felt like they could be read the same way anywayyyy

i have to say ppl jumping to >kris is evil incarnate after the new chapters is crazy this game is about AUTONOMY… andddddd also it genuinely works hard to give you explanations for everyone’s actions

the actual deflowered rose like wowwww beautiful metacommentary about the evils of compulsory heterosexuality and forcing roles upon people who don’t want them but have no ability to resist … THIS SCENE IS INSANEEEEE [+++ comphet reading comes from kris being forced to play the 'boy'/aggressor/masc dominator role when they are Not a boy, comphet is as much about gender roles imo as it is about sexuality]

only partially related to SLH, but it's another reason why I have so many evil!Spottedleaf AUs. Really cool to portray a canonical victim of grooming as emotionally unstable and needlessly cruel. Also people saying that she groomed Firepaw always pissed me off. Like that shit was retconned into the narrative at no point in the story does Spottedleaf try to isolate Firepaw from his social group and tell him to keep their relationship a secret. Firepaw had a crush on his cute teacher can't we just leave it at that?

I definitely agree that saying she groomed him is a step too far, he's an adult when we get into the weird ghost love triangle the authors created, but I disagree they're entirely non-canon and can be disregarded entirely. Her relationship and feelings for Firestar are present through Firestar's Quest, TNP, Po3, and OotS. I knoooow it's been argued it was a retcon, but I do think they were leaning into this idea in the TPB with her giving him the life of love and whatnot. I just don't fully buy it came out of nowhere as much as people claim.

I think if Spottedleaf's Heart is going to be insisted on being this immutable piece of canon, then the weird writing choices they made over multiple books and arcs are just as canon as it if we're following the same logic. But that's my onion.

I'm iffy on evil Spottedleaf AUs, mainly ones that are just her being a yandere parody of herself or just the generic evil for the sake of evil (which aren't unique to her) but I am soft on ones where it's her resenting dying so young and seeking out importance by tangling herself in the lives of prophecy cats.

Ooh I love this! Honestly, it's easier than rating them best to worst because I think all of the books tend to have some really great parts and a few not so great parts lol.

Twilight- 8/10

It's the classic. It started a phenomenon. I remember when it came out and when I read it just how influential it was on the cultural world around me. Plus, it is the classic gothic vampire romance! This Edward is absolutely the best Edward and I was absolutely kicking my feet and giggling while reading. It also feels like the only book in the series that genuinely had a beginning and end, whereas the rest have all felt open for another book to be published (including Breaking Dawn). It felt satisfying as a story and also because the nostalgia factor is 10/10.

Midnight Sun- 7/10

Guys. This is gonna be bad but... I still haven't finished it. I just don't understand why it's so much longer than the other books??? Clearly Stephenie was STEWING on this for like 15 years it's absolutely crazy. I remember reading the leak way back when (the real one too, not just the one posted on her website) and trying to finish it all in one night. I really enjoyed it! When it was published in 2020, I obviously bought it and started to read, but because I wasn't really in my Twilight phase anymore I lost interest pretty quickly. That being said, I will read it!!! I love all the lore I hear that comes from this book but I am currently trying to cut down my TBR so it has to wait lol.

New Moon- 9/10

It's just so depressing and I love when my romances are filled with dread. It also helps that this was based on R&J which was my favorite- and only- Shakespeare play at the time I read it (I was 11). I really love how Jacob is characterized in this book and how it genuinely does set up a love triangle for Bella. It's sad because his character becomes so much more aggressive in later books that we lose what made him a viable option in the first place. Here it was like: who could she choose! The dramatic, "it's fate" love, or the best friend? It's awesome. Alas, I am on the side of "Twilight was never a love triangle" so it's a dashed hope. Also, extra points because the Volturi are truly introduced and I love a good evil politician. Plus, Dakota Fanning as Jane in the movies was one of my first crushes that made me realize I'm bi lmao.

Eclipse- 4/10

Fuck. This. Book. I don't even wanna think about it. I genuinely prefer the insanity that is BD to this dumb shit. NOTHING HAPPENS FOR A THIRD OF THE BOOK. Everyone is just so abusive and gaslight-y and none of the characters feel like themselves. Especially when it came to Edward and Alice, I could not STAND them in this installment. This is obviously not the case for the other books, and I still love their characters, but I cannot think of everyone's behavior in Eclipse without crashing the fuck out. The rating is only as high as it is because I loved the newborn army lore and it was cool seeing the vampires and werewolves team up. Plus Edward and Bella get engaged which is pretty cute.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner- 9.5/10

Underrated installment??? To be fair, I need to reread it because it's been a long time (see my above TBR comment) but I remember really loving this one. It's such a tragedy! Bree thinks she can escape and that hope is with her until that last second when she realizes Riley betrayed her! AND DIEGO!!!! I loved him. This novella is also the only one to not mainly focus on the romance and rather the logistics of the Twilight vampires, which I thought was really cool. It really shows how scary the vampires can be, considering Bella only knows the stories secondhand from the Cullens. It was definitely a standout installment because at this point, I was so used to SM's HEA that the fact that she chose to end it so sadly really surprised me.

Breaking Dawn- 6/10

I feel like having known these books so long I am truly desensitized to how insane this book is. I kind of love it in a camp way? Whenever I see the complaints about Breaking Dawn, I generally agree with the points being made. I don't think this ending works with how SM developed her characters over the course of 3 books, but it exists regardless. As a necessary evil, at least it's a fun one. I'm a big horror fan, so getting to cringe at the pregnancy/medical horror was a cool perk for a book that mostly focuses on fantasy and romance. I only like Renesmee as a possible downfall for the Cullens because, again, I love a tragedy and that would be pretty cool. As the perfect, beautiful little Bellward daughter I hope she ends up like Vasilii in BD2:

BONUS: Life and Death- 4/10

The most random shit SM ever did. I still don't quite understand the point she thought she made. The best part of this is the fact that now that there are canonical genderbent versions of each character so you can create lesbian and gay Cullens for all your fic and art needs. Stephenie Meyer Ally!

it's my first Colleen Hoover book and i get it; people who like genuinely thoughtful, well done books hate her, and people who are in it for the entertainment, enjoy her.

i kind of wish Gillian Flynn (she did Gone Girl and Dark Places) had written this book because it would have been wild.

i'd be doing a disservice to myself if i wasted my time trying to make this book make sense.

the best use of my time is to point out all the things i thought were funny and ridiculous.

the entire meet-cute with Jeremy is so awful. a man had to have his head popped open so Lowen could explain her reason for living in the city, and so Jeremy (a complete stranger) could lock her in a mens bathroom to show he's...trustworthy? and how invisible Lowen and Jeremy like to be bc they're so different and special.

i knew the minute it was mentioned Verity didn't like swallowing Jeremy's cum, it was Lowen's time to shine. bc Lowen's not like other girls (she doesn't like pizza, but she does enjoy jizz). also the way Verity's love for Jeremy was supposed to convince the reader he was worth wanting was crazy. Jeremy had all the personality of a wadded up candy wrapper sitting in a muddy gutter. the man fucked another woman with his wife in a coma upstairs where their child also slept. and it's even worse than i'm describing. there's this whole headboard teeth thing that...yikes. the man's rizz has descended to the core of the earth, and any desire i could concieve for this character has vanished in the Bermuda Triangle. a true mystery.

this book has me laughing at things that shouldn't be funny, like how cartoonishly evil Verity is in the manuscript. the way she hates her kids is lowkey hilarious.

blegh, the way Colleen writes every other character who isn't a main.... they aren't the slightest bit important to the plot and most exist to show how "desirable" the fmc and mmc are. like Amos liking being choked? what's wrong with that? she really brought up this man to kink shame him. justice for Amos. i hope his eyes gleam, soaked in need, while a beautiful woman clamps her hands around his throat.

oh no, when Lowen makes out with Jeremy and wants to say something, but is afraid he'll think about how messed up the situation is and stop. then later tries to crab trap his sperm inside her to indenture him with a child. i don't think Lowen should be judging anyone else when her conscience is running on 1 bar of wifi.

also Verity giving her child a nautical themed name. like wtf he's a child, not a bathroom ???

and the ending, i was laughing so hard by the end of it. bc why didn't Verity confide in her health care providers her husband is trying to hurt her? this is a misscommunication trope on steroids.

and Lowen fucking eating the letter like a hamster all preggers with the baby she's trying to play off as a happy accident when she held his baby spray in her cooter like a caged animal.

This text will be long, also you can ask me questions about the fandom or the characters and if you want I’ll ask in character for who you are asking about, ANYWAYS:

Chapter one: the elemental gods

In order their names are left: Touka eclipse god, middle: Yoko sun god, right, yuzuki moon god,

These are some of the most powerful ocs in my fandom, think of them like monarchs but they have elemental powers, Yoko the middle one and the oldest, actually fought so others could have ranks and have the element they want, she decided to make a rank for her and her sister, that being yuzuki, they needed a eclipse barrier, and you know who actually fit it… that’s right touka, Think of touka like yuck from yyy but… a little stupid… she can be a bit dumb, but really strong at the same time, she could be stronger than Yoko and yuzuki combined, but her being stupid stops her from that, she also can be a bit of a fusion of the two, but that whole being a fusion thing will never be solved! Heheh

Yuzuki being a moon god can be somewhat boring for her, why? Because of her lack of experience, she was just kinda told to be a god and she’s like, uh okay?, and then now she has a whole ton of responsibilities that she is just over whelmed, plus, she can be a bit lazy and instead of doing her duties she just plays with her cat

Yoko, cannot tolerate this! She wants them to do their job, since she’s been doing hers, she hates when people slack off since she’s usually in line with everything, she is basically like having to parent them both, because of how they act with their antics, she never can get a break, cause somehow touka and yuzuki fight over something dumb, or yuzuki neglects her job, touka causing a accidental eclipse cause she felt like it, or both of them not wanting to do certain things

But in the end they do get along.

chapter 2: elemental controllers

In the female side: left: Sakura nature controller, middle: Aoi water controller, right: suki controller of love, male side: left: Sigure controller of rain, middle Kazuya controller of fire

The controllers of elements, tend to be able to get along, but one of them that being Aoi, is related to the main antagonist well one out of the three but, Aoi is related to the ice controller Yuki, Aoi is usually ashamed to tell people about this cause then she gets left out.

Sigure one of the members is actually in a love triangle with Sakura and Touka, Touka is actually really jealous that Sakura is able to have more a shot with Sigure than with her, so she can say a bit of mean things about her

Suki the love controller actually started this all, see think of her like a Cupid, on Valentine’s Day, she was just trying to make touka and Sigure fall in love, but she missed and hit sakura, so then touka was kinda upset, but suki being able to have a cute airheaded persona got her to be calm with her

Speaking of controllers having crushes, Kazuya the shy easily embarrassed Fire controller, has a crush on touka, like in a way that Dada from pucca does on ring ring, he often admires her from a glance because he is too shy to tell her the sentence “I LOVE YOU” so whenever they are somewhat close he just acts very embarrassing quiet.

Chapter 3: main villains

Left: Riko, middle: Yomi (rikos crush) left Yuki (aois big sis)

The main villains are well villains, but one has a crush on the other, Riko actually has a crush on the god of the underworld, Yomi, think of her like chief from pucca (quite literally acts like her and is based off her) she became evil for him, in the end she does end up with him, Yomi is actually rivals with the two male controllers, Kazuya and Sigure, due to his terrible actions towards people they knew, Yuki is a very jealous, hateful, catty cat girl, who is a ice user, she often tends to fight with yoko so she can be more powerful, and be powerful enough so everyone in the world is under hers and hers only control, very basic trope huh?? She often has little plans of just sabotaging the elemental gods day to day activities, for example, if Yuzuki were eating something, she would try to poison it, etc etc, Yuki does get a bit annoyed when her sister introduced her to Kazuya cause she kinda hates men, (remind you of someone from a show with bunnies uh Cough cough yin yang yo cough cough) she was mean to him but she is a tsundere so she’s like that to everyone.

Riko, actually knew Yomi from when they were kids, but he did take her under his wing because he found out she’s homeless (remind you of someone??),

I was gonna add another character that being the one who controls lightning rai, but I’m probably not gonna find a good design for him yet… so he’s gonna be kinda in the works…

2023 kdrama list

obviously this is quite late but to those who want to start a kdrama, this is it.

#10 - soundtrack #2

there is such a comfort in the soundtrack series. even soundtrack #1 was so good, but this new instalment, truly works on the og kdrama tropes. lovers to exes to accidental 'fate' encounter to forced proximity to lovers again. puppy dog male lead, angsty female lead, jealousy, wholesome second lead, it's got it all. and ofc, music.

#9 - king the land

many people did not like this drama. honestly, if you're watching a kdrama that is romance and comedy then why would be angry that it had romance and comedy. again, a true example of a classic kdrama, rich ceo guy with hardworking girl, mix in some trauma and employee-employer drama, and this is the perfect clichéd drama.

#8 - see you in my 19th life

honestly i just like watching ahn bo hyun. he is such a pretty man. storyline-wise, i feel like they did a lot of stuff, but the ending honestly disappointed me. shin hye sun, as usual, love the woman, what an actor, the second leads also did not disappoint, loved them all.

#7 - crash course in romance

such a heartwarming drama. choi chiyeol with the temperament of a wet cat, the stress of studies in all asian countries, not just korea. all the romances were so cute (barring the best friend and brother). one thing they could have done better was cast a younger actress for the female lead. even this love triangle was so cute and fun.

#6 - my demon

song kang and kim yoo jung really killed it with the chemistry. i mean, forget everything else, i'll just take 16 episodes of them hanging out. even behind the scenes reels will work. the plot was pretty solid, felt like a remake of doom at your service. song kang does a wonderful job at being both goofy and serious, and kim yoo jung did so good at the angsty ceo.

#5 - the good bad mother

am i surprised this ended up higher than my demon? yes. this was such a good show, the past and present layered together so beautifully. the villains seemed like actual villains, but you weren't sure who to hate until the last episode. really shows some aspects of motherhood through both the eyes of the kids and mothers. had a cute little romance as well.

#4 - the worst of evil

ji chang wook and wi ha jun. need i say more? i have said it once, and i'll say it again - so few do action like koreans do. i mean, vincenzo, my name, midnight runners, and now this, such action masterpieces.

#3 - daily dose of sunshine

park bo young wa sso cute in this one. i miss small kdramas with intense plots. mental illnesses were dealt with very well in this one. the romance was so cute, and chang ryul, my baby, i missed him so much.

#2 - alchemy of souls s2

i just. love. this series. so much. like, the characters are so well built, the storyline, the romance, the destiny, oh my god. please watch this.

#1 - welcome to samdal-ri

this comes as a surprise to absolutely no one. what a feel-good drama to end 2023. it was the perfect remix of hometown cha cha cha that we all needed. ji chang wook, my absolute gem of a man, and shin hye sun, queen of no shit given but too many shits given roles. adore the friendships, romance, calm setting, the love between everyone. please watch it.

Ep 7 - Of course this is how Kim falls in love

Time: 16:27 -17:27 – Macau Spotting!

Macau’s Outfit: he is literally wearing the same school uniform as Chay. This could have opened so many plotlines, especially if the show wanted to place Chay in a love triangle mirroring Porsche’s.

Macau looks so bored at the table until Vegas shows up, and Vegas looks so excited to see him! I know this whole scene is an act put on by the minor family to lure Porsche away, but that’s the one time we see Vegas’ true feelings. He’s genuinely so happy to see his little brother. Macau, in turn, is so happy to see him because no one else was acknowledging him. Though the second Porsche sits next to him and he sees the act Vegas is putting on, he's over it.

I do wonder if Porsche clocked Macau’s uniform and wondered if this was a threat against his brother. Probably not, love Porsche, but Porchay definitely took most of the puzzle-solving abilities (I’m not calling it smarts because it's not. It’s the ability to connect dots, and Porsche is canonically incapable of doing that)

The way Porsche should have one hundred percent said oh my brother goes to your school; it would be so in character for him to just blurt that out here. He still finds Vegas marginally trustworthy, and it’s the kind of segue that Porsche would think of.

Time: 23:29 - 31:31 - Chay please clean your house

You can see the freakout Chay is having in his eyes. Also, the way he is clutching his dirty laundry because he was so panicked he forgot to put it down before scampering to let Kim in.

The matter-of-fact way Chay talks about his parents’ death. He’s not broken by it the same way Porsche is because he doesn’t remember them. And I’m not saying that’s bad! It's just a detail that strikes me. Chay grieves the idea of parents while Porsche grieves the real people. Chay’s also gotten through it in a way I doubt Porsche ever could.

Kim actually has a flicker of emotion on his face just before he says sorry. He knows what it's like to lose a parent (because his mom is def dead, Korn wouldn’t allow a divorce)

This whole ep is full of manipulative gift-giving. Vegas with the bike and Kim with the guitar. Kim impatiently cuts off Chay’s refusal so he can go snoop. At least allow Chay to be grateful before you go searching Kim!

Okay the more I look at this shirt the more purple it seems to me, am I the only one?

I could write a billion words about the facial expressions in this scene but Tumblr has character limits. Kim is just so soft staring at Chay now while Chay has this knowing look on his face

Overall Chay Rating (Chrating): A+

This episode was so good on the Chay content even though we only got one Chay outfit. Chay’s genuinely a really happy kid (which often gets mistaken for naivety), and it's really nice seeing him so happy. Kim falling for him was inevitable because they are Freak for Freak, and it's so in character for Kim to actually develop feelings after seeing the stalker board. We even got to see Macau twice in this episode, so not only was this a great Chay ep but also a great little bro ep

Ein MyStreet isn't a compelling villain to me.

Please note how I said ME in the title. This is just how I feel. You're entitled to your own opinions. Also this isn't the most professional analysis, I am just saying what's on my mind in the moment. Anyway, let's get into it.

OK so basically: Ein had a lot of potential. In the first half of season 1 he was a cute "bad" boy who just wanted to not be the Omega of the school whilst also having a crush on Aphmau. Then Aphmau made him Alpha Male and then he stopped being a character.

It's framed that everything he did with Aphmau was just a ploy to get the position of Alpha but like... He was so genuine so many times? He was blushing and all, he helped her out with the hair dye. He was a good boy who actually had a thing for Aph.

But ok, let's just ignore his characterization up until the twist because ooohhh he's actually really mean and manipulative. Maybe it's because of the power he now has after being bullied for so long but it's SUCH a jarring shift in character for him.

I guess Jessica wanted to make an actual Villain character since Gene and Balto weren't the most threatening and evil but like... They're in high school? They're not gonna be evil masterminds like what she was trying to do with Ein.

Gene and Balto were just bullies and that fit for PDH S1. Ein being evil is to shut down any romantic progression he would have with Aphmau since Kai got character assassinated and was a dick to her on a date (+ Ein's meddling)

All so that Aaron can come "save the day" and beat up Ein and save Aphmau from an evil man that she never figured out was evil. The most Evil things Ein did was pick an Omega without Aph and also ruin her date.

Ein didn't want to be the omega anymore since he was sick of being seen as weak and being bullied and ignored, and the teacher WANTED him to take that title willingly, even after everything he's gone through with it. And he KNOWS that Aph would try and convince him To take it on as well, so that's why he picked one by himself. And the date thing... Yeah idk why he did that maybe he was just jealous idk i forgor.

OH YEAH and he beat the shit out of Kasey so that Katelyn can have a reason to be racist towards werewolves when the Ultima Reveal. Completely forgot about that.

I honestly think PDH S2 had an interesting set up with the love triangle. Kai has Aaron's personality whilst Ein has Aaron's attitude. (Aph & Aaron's romance is awful but i'm just pointing out symbolism).

Ein was also racist towards Humans since he is a werewolf supremacist and he wanted to make Aphmau a werewolf so that she'd be perfect. Also werewolves are a minority that's discriminated against so this character trait is a bit uh... Yikes!

Also I just remembered this but Ein was working with Gene to get close to Aphmau and Gene wanted pictures of Aphmau for some fucking reason?? What was that about. We get no context on this other than 1 scene btw.

So the next time we see Ein is in Emerald Secret! Oh boy, I got some words.

So about 15 years pass since PDH S2 and everyone is an adult in their late 20s. What has Ein been doing in all that time? Obsessing over a girl he met in high school, researching heavily into a folk lore in order to turn her into a werewolf. Also he's been doing illegal potion making and used one of those potions to turn an actual wolf, human, so that he can be the alpha of her wolf pack.

Also he's working with the biggest bad of them all, Micheal! But we don't meet him until Season 6 or something. He also may or may not be mind controlling Ein during Emerald Secret we don't know.

So what else does Ein do this season now that he's the big bad again? Other than the wolf thing, he also brainwashes Aphmau's friends into thinking he's their brother, makes Aphmau obey his every word and love him whilst also despising Aaron.

And makes her attempt to kill Aaron. Despite the fact that he needs Aaron to turn her into a werewolf first, after he denies when he's asked, Ein was like "Ok well. Aph kill him lmao."

He also "dies" in the end by getting mauled by the pack of wolves he made himself Alpha of.

I don't think it takes that much brainpower to see why this is an awful twist (he was also a twist villain btw we didn't know it was him until midway). His motivation is stupid, why are you still obsessed with some girl from high school, you're 28.

Why does he even still have those pictures of her in high school? Like if you're gonna be obsessed with her, at least stalk her so you can get the modern update???

Also, his werewolf supremacy is played up big time here to the point it makes you question why he wasn't obsessing over Aaron like Xavier was. Maybe Jessica didn't wanna repeat motivation? But Ein & Xavier are very different characters, you could make it work.

He was just a mess of a villain once you think about his motivation for 2 seconds. And then he shows up in When Angels Fall!! This one is shorter I promise.

So in WAF Ein uses another illegal potion to make werewolves (who were in hiding since the Government is taking every single one of them and interrogating them because they might be some ancient folklore beast). And makes them all obey his every word and call him Alpha.

It's confirmed that after High School, werewolf packs and Alphas don't matter in the real world so it's weird that he was obsessed with it in Emerald Secret.

Anyway after that, he kidnaps Aphmau to hold Aaron ransom and when he gets his werewolf ears back (Aaron took them away in ES) he kills Aphmau because he was being mind controlled by Micheal.

And then Aaron and Ein fight on a bridge, Aaron kills his mind controlled friends, and then kills Ein. So let's talk about it.

the thing with this is that... It just shows that Ein COULD'VE been written well if he was mind controlled by Micheal with the illegal potions. Since Micheal had 100% access to Ein at any time and Ein played a major role in Micheal's plan to trauma trigger Aaron.

And honestly it would've made Ein a much more compelling character if he just... Didn't have control over his actions. One theme with the main group is that they decide what to do with their lives and how to move forward.

But that wouldn't apply to someone who was controlled, now, would it? And since we know that the person under the effects of a forever potion still have a conscious, and can see all the acts that they don't have control over, it would've made Ein a tragic villain.

And if he was mind controlled by Micheal during Emerald Secret it would explain why Ein was obessed with Aphmau despite it being so weird. Because guess what, Ein & Aphmau are half siblings! So that re-contextualizes every interaction they ever had.

I think that Ein should've had an actual character instead of being a cartoon villain like Micheal was. Ein is the only character to have so much DIRECT action towards the main cast. Why would you make him so messy and one dimensional?

And the whole Mind Control thing is something that can be easily done. Ein uses forever potions to make people Obey Him, and since Micheal doesn't have enough power to mind control Ein 24/7, him using a potion like that on Ein would make so much sense.

Since Ein is shown to be decent at potion making and magic by the time we meet him. Micheal is the only one who could've taught him all of that. And the thing is: IT'S CANNON ONLY IN WAH. They met before ES but it's left so vague on what their relationship was that you could say Ein did everything in Emerald Secret by his own volition and you'd be right since nothing is confirmed.

If Jessica wanted to make this a serious story, WHY WOULD YOU STOP AT THE MOST RELEVANT VILLAIN??? He's literally related to Aphmau and was apart of the experimentation in some way but we don't know because he's not a character enough for him to be lore relevant other than him being a plot device. I'm so upset on the way Jessica wrote him since he could've been so much more than he actually was.

I wanna add something: The mind controlled by Micheal thing is only one possibility with his character. You can do a whole lot of other things. The reason why I focused on the mind-control thing is that it's an easy cop-out Jessica could do in order to make Ein an actual character.

Jessica isn't the best writer and loves tropes & cop-outs so it very well could've been done in story. But instead she let Ein be vague as hell and also tying him so closely into the lore.

I just want Ein to be a coherent character with understandable motivations behind his actions. There is no excuse for him to be this important and yet so messily written.

And now he's dead. RIP Ein MyStreet. You could've been one of the greatest.

how I would fix the heroes of olympus series

the great thing about having a blog with 0 followers is I can say whatever the hell I want

structural changes

make it take place at least five years after pjo. percy and annabeth are coming into their own as peacetime leaders, and serving as the adult mentors of a new generation of kids. did their time as child soldiers fuck them up? does perpetuating the system help?

cut the seven down to five. we love all these characters!! but oh my god the pov character bloat. you can still keep povs from outside the main questing party, but the sheer number of characters reduced the kinds of relationship development possible, and flattened outsiders in each scene to flanderized archetypes.

increase the span of time between each book. with each entry the book increased in size and compressed in time. battle of the labyrinth took like 200 pages to convey the same span of time as son, moa, hoh and boo combined. increasing time between books also gives riordan time to catch up to the present day, rather than keeping on a simpsons-style floating timeline where Percy turns 16 in 2009 but still isn't old enough to drink in 2024

character and relationship changes

increase the age gap between Thalia and Jason, or get rid of Jason altogether. I think he's neat but introducing him was kind of an asspull retcon. which is fine, thalias backstory wasn't explored that much, but it means he doesn't really exist on his own terms, he's just a counterpart to her or to percy.

remove Percy and annabeth from the main questing party. they did their time. I'm sure the publisher had a graph that showed books with Percy and annabeth sold much better than books without (as evidence by the fact that pjo keeps getting sequel series while Kane chronicles and Magnus Chase get left to collect dust) but it just feels forced. it also leads to power creep and scope creep.

pick one romance within between the younger characters. one. I vote piper and Leo bc I like them and they always get ignored by fandom. have hazel and frank be like, a buddy-cop duo or something. maaaaybe let Leo have a tragic romance with Calypso NOT as a consolation prize for being seventh wheel. solangelo is cute but also feels like a very cynical introduction of sweaterboy/nightmare archetypes into traditional media. and cut the Sammy valdez shit like why would that even be necessary for a love triangle? truly odd

story changes

split the party! the five questers are out trying to stop the threats of the big bad and coming up with creative and clever solutions that wouldn't be necessary with heavy-hitting big three kids doing most of it! I'm sorry but the "Percy and/or Jason hit the big monster with a sword until it stops moving" parts of the books were so fucking boring

political intrigue! Percy and annabeth have to deal with threats at home. the situation with the Romans is not a gordian knot Percy can just cut through! annabeth's weaponry is literally cloak-and-dagger! let the past come back to haunt them via their treatment of Reyna and how they make amends!

make Octavian an actual threat? like in the books he's just ~craazy~ comic relief who is somehow able to muster an army while also being widely disliked. at least show him as having motivations beyond like, anti-slavic prejudice

explore the actual Romans more? like in the pjo series I do not feel like the main flaw of the Greek gods' system is that they're too chill and loose. but in hoo we're told it is. so I propose it as more a conflict between one united expansionist empire, vs various warring factions that must put up a united front. maybe let Percy "this is Sparta" kick someone into a pit

give gaea actual motivations too? like idk it just felt like, "ohhh you beat my son again, and the giants were next after the first time, I'm evil and a woman" when like. make her the abusive mother of the world. make her mad about climate change. make her have any motivation, please, I beg you

give nico something to do!!! sir not-appearing-in-this-book istg. he's cagey and mysterious in son. he's trapped in a jar in moa. he gets to be involved in the plot of hoh yay! he gets sent on a sidequest in boo boooo

add supplemental materials! use the younger kids storylines to onboard young readers, and have rick keep writing those, bc he does write children's lit well. then have the Percy annabeth Reyna stuff serve as a darker more mature ya type deal and use it as a venue to introduce new writers to the riordan system and audience and each book can also be a backdoor pilot for their own series in this world . also THIS would be the space to tie in other pantheons, please

wesker being a whore is funny because it grosses so many people out, and also he's the most hilariously evil man on the planet, so the thought of him just dragging his dick around is funny.

krauser and wesker keeping a pic of their young subordinates is funny because it is so. goddamn. pathetic. like with wesker it's funny because it's just more evidence of him being a sex fiend, which, like. see above. and with krauser it's funny because he's this huge, imposing, terrifying man, but with the photo it's like "u gonna cry? baby gonna cry? maybe just ask him out already you fucking sad sack of shit."

leon having no rizz is funny because so many fans want to fuck him, so the fact that he can't actually pull off being charming in-universe is just. delicious irony.

the mass amount of hate is funny because... a long story, but like the tl;dr is that there's nothing that anyone in this fandom can do to me that will be worse than that stalker i had who was jealous and butthurt that i was rping leon for a friend's ada, and they carried that hateboner around and harassed me for ten fucking years, so like. if that didn't run me out of the fandom, nothing will.

and leon asking out hunnigan + og leon being a whore is funny for the same reason why it's funny that he has no rizz. i love watching that boy strike out. it brings me an immense amount of joy.
