If you listen hard enough you can hear the click clack of thousands of laptop keys as Sterek fic writers draft their fix-it fics and mutter to themselves, “I cannot believe I am still cleaning up this man’s messes…”
Okay! Obviously, I love Wolf 359. The available scripts for Wolf 359 are recording scripts, meaning they're inaccurate in a ton of places when it comes to finalized or improvised dialogue, and don't function well as transcripts (especially since the scripts for the live show and some of the mini episodes were never made available.) That said, I think everyone should read the scripts; the sheer amount of physical description that you can feel in the show, even if you can't see it... I guarantee it will enhance your listening experience. Most visual show to ever be an audio drama. So, in pursuit of both of these goals at once, I went over every word in the scripts, and wrote up new scripts for the unavailable ones. Some of the sound effects described - especially in early episodes - might not line up exactly, because I didn't want to mess with the non-dialogue portion of the show, but I hope this strikes a good balance and can be a useful resource.
You’re telling me that Derek Hale is living in Beacon Hills owning an auto shop and consulting for the sheriff and having a rebellious teenage son who loves the jeep and in the first twenty seconds of being on screen Derek says to the sheriff “Maybe you should call your son?” Like I literally paused it.
Seriously considering keeping it paused and just writing a fanfic to finish it out because this is a beautiful premise that right now is canon. I accept the first 20 minutes of this movie. The rest we can toss.
Seeing this Dennis and Dee moment not scripted reminded me of when RCG talked about how they normally have their personal phones on set and just, out, when they’re filming… and I think this is definitely Glenn noticing and grabbing Kaitlin’s phone
i don't think ive seen this discussed but everytime i think about it it makes my brain explode anyway in securite kepler calls jacobi his good right hand and then in into the depths, where jacobi's trust in kepler starts to fracture post contact event is also when kepler loses his hand. the script even points out it's the right one. love tangible manifestations of character relationships
The difference between the original TG1986 script and the finalized version of the script is so funny to me.
Originally Hollywood couldn’t sleep with all his zippers being played with. Now he’s able to sleep while his flight suit is being played with. Oh how he’s changed.
Sometimes I randomly wonder what some actors think when they find fanfiction featuring their character. Not in the ‘oh nawr it’s PORWN!!?!’ Kind of way, but more in the: ‘huh, so that’s what people got from my acting?’ Or ‘Oh, that’s a different place that story line could have gone.’ Or ‘wait why didn’t we explore this in the show?’ Or ‘He Wouldn’t Fucking Say That.’
One of the many Wolf 359 script directions that is Important To Me is this bit from Ep15 What's Up, Doc?, which comes after Hilbert has been threatening to tell Minkowski how Eiffel ended up on the Hephaestus:
I love it when Wolf 359 characters are up against newer and/or objectively more popular characters in polls BUT are somehow winning and people in the notes are like "who the fuck is Lovelace" it feels so good. Wolf 359 fans went sleeper mode when it ended but we'll crawl out of the labyrinthine air duct system to uplift our beloved favs again and again. We can die but we'll always come back. Almost like--
my first exposure to the locked tomb was an excellent wolf 359 fic set in its universe (Signal Decay by fathomfive), so i decided to write the reverse!
i hope to post the first chapter of Dominicus 359 within the next few days. here’s a little snippet:
