Alright, who wants to hear me talk about my thoughts on a show made for 9 year olds? Part 2!

I’ll admit, I think part of my issue with Prime is just that I set my expectations fairly high. Need to stop doing that. Ever. Part of it was remembering little about season 1 beyond I liked it as a teen. But as it seems this franchise will forever be, kind of a mixed bag, but glad I watched it.

I will say that bar a few I quite like the designs for the bots in the show. The style was clearly taking inspiration from the Bay films while still keeping the designs clear and distinguishable. That said the animation can be pretty janky at times and the locations often quite bland. The latter of which was probably for budget reasons and the former for both budget reasons and the tech of the time.

I also generally like most of the bot characters. I wish Arcee got more focus, especially as she’s introduced to us first, but she’s fun. Kind of a grouch but there for people when they need her. Bulkhead is generally a lot more likeable in this incarnation than Animated, though I don’t think he’ll ever be a favourite. Bumblebee can’t talk here either but they do a decent job of still making him feel like part of the team. Optimus is generally wonderful, a bit distant but clearly intended to be, someone you immediately understand why people would follow. And I fucking love Ratchet in this show, he’s marvellous, more Ratchet please. Wonder why the main team was almost identical to Animated?

Not sure I liked what they did to Wheeljack, did quite like Ultra Magnus. And holy shit if Smokescreen isn’t the worst character in the franchise so far. I hate him so. much. and he brought down any episode he was the focus of. Is this partly because he’s written more than any other character to appeal to 8-year-old boys, something I am not? Yes. But that’s hardly all. He feels like either the pet character of a writer or a studio mandate, I’m not sure which is worse. (Or if either is true, don’t quote me)

The Decepticons, as per usual, are the highlights though. I don’t think there’s one of them I don’t enjoy watching. Starscream and his sniveling, Knockout and his vanity, Airachnid and her sadism (for science!) and the rest are still so much fun to watch for their evil and, even more so, their dysfunction. That said this show also drove something home for me, and that is DAMN do I love Frank Welker as Megatron. Like it’s been clear the man has talent for a long time but wow. The way he can be both quietly sinister and a raging monster is EXCELLENT.

The voice cast is generally quite good, if a bit odd. Peter Cullen and Frank Welker coming back to the roles they made iconic (twice for Welker technically!) but you also get names like Gina Torres, Jeffrey Combs (who I suppose DOES voice The Question) and even Dwayne Johnson in the first episode.

I will say, as seems to be the usual, I am in Fuck Them Kids mode when it comes to the main human characters, who come in Brat, Kid Genius and Blander Than Gruel flavours. Then again by the later seasons it felt like the showrunners/writers didn’t even want them around much either. Will say they have different amounts of believability in their relationship to their assigned bot. Miko and Bulkhead honestly feel like friends who care a lot about each other. Raf and Bee are fine, but honestly by the end I was mostly thinking of Ratchet as Raf’s bot. Jack and Arcee don’t feel like anything really, and you would think that would be the most important one.

Really the writing is the thing. Some of it is VERY good, clever ideas or scenes that leave me on the edge of my seat. And some of it is very bad, comedy that falls flat and “as competent as the plot needs”-itis for all. Not to mention some of the weird stuff with seasons 2 and three, like putting multiple villains on ice and then bringing them back to not… do much in season 3. Part of me wonders if there were issues with the studio and no one was ever sure if/when they were getting renewed. But I must be clear, I am just guessing and could be way off.

Will say I generally enjoyed the wrap-up movie, cute ending, some nice character interactions. Even if “Satan taking over my body made me learn oppression is bad. I’m heading out.” Is a very silly way to wrap up Megatron. Nothing special (and let’s face it, was probably a rewritten and repurposed three-parter) but fun.

Honestly at times a little awkwardly pro-military but it’s an American action show, what do you expect lol. Could have been a LOT worse.

And now to Earthspark! …Which looks to be focusing even more on humans… Oh well. Guess we shall see what it’s like!

Hello i would like to point out something:

So in the covenant of primus, it is stated that soundwave used to be on the counsel. Once he realizes that the caste system is unfair (? its a teensy bit confusing here for me haha), he got really pissed, and was "most vocal with his anger" (i see the irony there). Anyways, he says a pretty impressive speech (i'll show them under the cut), and when he realizes the council will do nothing important about this issue (Alpha trion was writing everything down, Elita one wanted more time and research, Sentinal wanted reports, and Halogen was gonna study methods of exchanging labour), Soundwave got really, really pissed. He left the counsel, said a couple more bomb quotes, and later on the rest of the council find out that he got a job at kaon city, and was living the life of the lower caste.

if soundwave had the opportunity to go back in time and see the counsel, I get the feeling his general reaction is like "NONE OF THIS WAR BUSINESS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF YOU LAZY MOTHERBITCHES ACTUALLY LISTENED TO ME AND DID SOMETHING USEFUL"

An AU where it's soundwave that starts up the revolution, he still doesn't talk, but does stuff like posting on social media, maybe no text posts, but pictures. Images of bots suffering. Making people question the morality. He becomes co-conspirters with megatron, and Megatron is the one who does most of the speeches, talking about how life would be like for the lower caste.

Omg, and then they post documentaries. Orion gets shoehorn into this because it was his job to censor the media of this stuff, but after watching a few of their clips, Orion gets convinced that this is the right thing to do. So instead of censoring the media, he pushes the content out into the datanet.

Also while i do love gladiator Soundwave, I also get the feeling that he wouldn't be as violent??? Idk. I think he joined megatron's team because everything was already set up, so ye. And when it was becoming evident that megatron may be losing focus, Soundwave is way too loyal at that point. I feel like he also felt like orion was stealing a little bit of megatron's thunder, so while I can see them canoncally chilling, I can see Soundwave slowly becoming colder and colder to Orion.

Idk, (back to my shit of an au) but I feel like soundwave would show a lot of deppresing stuff to sort of shock the audiance. Megatron would descibe in horrifying details about, for example, his experiances in the mines (watching a fellow miner getting trapped under the mines, sometimes hearing cries of help only to go unoticed, etc), and orion tricking his co-workers, and making sure anything concerning this topic is on the datanet.

Bighit clearly acknowledges that seventeen is a monster group in their own right I mean as you said, they break records and are 2nd behind bighits own group. They are EXTEMELY big in Japan. They are their own song makers, bang pd confirmed this when pleids was first announced in a press video so the fact people brush all of their achievements and statements because why, their streaming numbers are low?

And oohh such an interesting point as well! Very much i think the current mindset of kpop fans (or at least some) is that streaming is what equals success which to some degree, yes but as you said, many ignore the casual side of listening. People that find the song due to it being viral for whatever reason, a fancam getting popular like in the cass of hani from exid or whatever reason. Dwc is a great example and I saw those comments under their recent performance of that song and it makes me proud that the boys have a song like that. That it has its own "fanbase" quote on quote with how well loved that song simply is and well known. You don't have to have fans doing crazy streaming to be considered "popular", I mean I could give more examples but I don't wanna make this too long nor cause unwanted fandrama lol. Those casual listeners are extremely important and powerful I mean brave girls is a great recent example of that I think! It very much does seem like that when looking at the views, its mainly the core fanbase which isn't bad nor should we feel bad for not having crazy numbers. They seem more organic if that makes sense? Plus I agree, we can stream and can explain how it works, clearing up confusion about it like no emojis don't take down views and yes youtube does take away views but that is due to it making sure it isn't bots only viewing the video. Explaining that streaming should be done with a chill mindset and its ok if you don't stream. But hey, maybe we're too weird of fans to think like this fjajdjajs.

But some few updates! Seventeen is back on Instagram, fully everyone is posting away. Makes me happy hehe m, a bit funny it took so long for them to comeback but am happy nonetheless. The interactions that seungkwan does makes me super soft. Seventeen are also back with doing proper promotions so yay (also pledis is S Wording people over the mingyu issue finally so bless). and yeah that's absolutely true, pledis focused on kr promotions/fanbase first and foremost (and then expanded to Japan and is now looking toward the US/western promos in general). which i agree was a good thing. i think some companies get too greedy with wanting a group to be ~internationally famous~ that they ignore their Korean fanbase a bit too much and I've seen groups that have failed bc of it, so I'm glad that didn't happen w SVT

and yeah in terms of merch I'm genuinely grateful as an american that for this cb at least there was a US distributor which made things super convenient but wtf is going on w hybes merch those water bottles are not it TT it just sucks to see bc it's clear that at least as far as merch goes hybe doesn't have an interest in like. doing market research to figure out what carats want. which is funny bc they don't even have to start from scratch they could literally just ask pledis?? and tbh what's sad is i don't think hybe is like. purposefully trying to sabotage SVTs merch from my limited perspective i get the feeling they treat all their groups merch like that :( but since us carats have seen in the past what kind of merch we're capable of getting it's disappointing to see such a downgrade. and like tbf pledis's merch decisions were never perfect like that time they tried to sell replicas of the SVT rings and carats were rightfully pissed bc those are something the members earned, not something to be bought. and i also don't think hybe never has or never will make good merch, I'm sure they're fully capable of it. but it just seems obvious that they've put WAY less if any effort into understanding both the market (ie carats) and seventeens brand compared to pledis so like of course most carats aren't gonna like it :/ i really hope they step up their game and do better research or bring ppl onto the team who better understand svt's brand

and yeah i very much agree with everything u said about streaming! tbh i think this mindset isn't as uncommon as you might think, I've actually met a fair number of kpop fans who are critical of streaming culture but as u know there also are a lot of ppl who are really into it and those ppl tend to have the loudest voices. and unfortunately part of streaming culture is that if you question the methods or don't participate you must be a bad fan or secretly an anti or something ridiculous like that. so ppl who aren't into streaming culture end up learning to not be too vocal about it bc of how bad the backlash can be

yes! I'm glad to see insta line (+ now dk!!) active again. i still wonder why pledis made them stop using their ind instas, like I know all the theories people have as to why but honestly none that I've seen seem to fully make sense. it will probably be one of those things where we'll just never know the full story. but i digress!! regardless of the reason I'm just glad to have them back after all this time ^^

as always I'm answering this a bit late so you may have seen already but i did get the physical album! it was a birthday gift so i only got it the other day, but according to my mom it arrived almost immediately after the album was released so as i said before, I'm very grateful for the US shop this time around ;-; as for the songs usually it's easy for me to pick one or two favorites but this time around it's genuinely a 4-way tie between heavens cloud and all the unit songs TT (i also love anyone and RTL, they're just slightly lower on the list in terms of preference if u get what i mean). i really hope some time in the future we get some kind of performance or special video or something for heavens cloud, since so many carats and the members themselves seem to really love it. i also think it's a song that brings up such beautiful imagery that it would be a shame if it never got any type of visual representation, you know? I'm also really curious to see a performance of wave, since iirc the members said the choreo is a lot more laid back/different from other perf unit choreos?? + that song also evokes such great imagery for me that like... makes feel like it needs some kind of movement so I'm just itching to see a performance. kind of like... even if i didn't know it was a perf unit song i would think it would be great to choreograph to if that makes any sense dhfkf. but yeah overall i think it's just a really solid album, as expected from summerteen ^^

As I struggled to come up with something more creative than 'time-lady," I remembered one of my mom's favorite sayings, "Reality sucks, live in fiction" and since livinginfiction was taken, my friend (who was helping with the crisis) and I added an 's.' Voila. Seven years later, it's the only username i have online. XD

I tend to make my side blogs for more pointed material, so that my main blog can have like...the amalgamation of general stuff i like, and then I can keep the fandomy content more concentrated into the side blogs.

6. Why did you choose your icon/pfp?

Originally, I did not have this icon. I had this pic I found online with these Beautiful bronze wings against a black background. But then, around the time I decided I wanted to sort of...simplify things and make my username for my online stuff all the same, with all the same pfp's so that I was easily recognized, etc, I realized that....that picture was not mine. I didn't design it or anything. And i couldn't find its source to ask for permission to use it. And it started making me feel shitty for using it in the first place. So I spent like an hour and a half trying to make my Own Wing pic to use, and failed miserably. As a last ditch effort, i went through my 'artistic' photos on my phone and found this one. I adore sky pics, and cloud pics, etc, so it was super my thing, and I just slapped it on there. Still not sick of it. XD I also went to my side blogs and changed out the pfp's for photos that I'd taken, except the sterek blog, because that one is literally just a black triskelion on a white background, and it's a pretty non-specific thing. I would have used a picture of my Own Tattoo, but it's very hard to get a picture of my back that doesn't have weird lighting, and I'm just too lazy.

7. Why did you choose your header?

All my headers are also photos that I've taken or art pieces that I've made. In the case of this blog, it's a picture I made with a 'galaxy maker' online thingy. I love green. I love blue. Ta dah. In general i just try to find something that gives me the right vibes or has the right color palette to match what it's for. (orange and blue for sterek, trees for merlin, and wings for spn)

8. What’s your post with the most notes?

On this blog? I.....just spent two hours digging through all my posts tagged 'personal' bc i wanted the post that I MADE with the most notes...and i have no idea. I mostly respond to other posts, rather than making my own. The highest note count i can find is a post i made abt having friends that aren't in your fandom, which means you can use inspirational quotes to help them through tough times without them realizing ur quoting doctor who or something. 22 notes. *fingerguns* I'm famous, i know.

Uhghhghghgh, this blog has 439 at the moment, and i'm pretty sure not a lot of those are porn bots, bc i usually screen new followers for it. a lot of them have come over from my sterek blog though.

Uh, nearly every day, multiple times a day. Sometimes i forget it exists for a couple days, though. It's my only social media. I dont use twitter or facebook or instagram. I Have Accounts, but I literally dont open those apps more than once a month.

My sterek blog gets in fights more often than it should. XD I'm feisty. And I dunno who wins, i think no one. it's tumblr. there's no real winning or losing.

Oh 90% of the time I'll fucking ignore it on principle. I come to tumblr to enjoy myself and escape. I refuse to guilt the shit out of myself and my followers for not reblogging something deemed Essential. I don't care how deep the topic is or how heavy. Sometimes that's WHY I'm not reblogging it, because I don't want that shit on my blog. The other 10% of the time, I'll go to most recent reblog that Doesn't have the guilty shit on it, and then reblog that.

Sakurai Sho “Bifurcated Love" Live with my favorite and shares a room with a model

Sakurai Sho (38) was reported having a premarital trip with his favorite girlfriend Ako san on January by Bunshun and a month later on February 16, Bunshun was reported that Sakurai had been playing with another woman.

Sakurai's friends from Keio Kindergarten revealed the relationship between Sakurai and her favorite girlfriend (Ako san) "Ako san  is a former Miss Keio, and Sakurai's classmate. They have been friends since student era and started dating after graduation”. Ako's presence was recognized as "She"  (Sakurai's she) by his closest friends from Keio Kindergarten. When the news of Bunshun came out, they immediately knew "Ah, that girl". The relationship was a “long distance love” between Osaka and Tokyo until the last fall when Ako san quits her job and moves to Tokyo.

Life has never quite gone your way. There would be high moments that came with teaching high schoolers that strove to become heroes but the loneliness was unbearable. Living in Japan away from your family and friends left a hole in your heart that only got deeper after every failed date or hookup.

You had often joked about your high standards with your colleagues at UA, even to the point of openly wishing for a Build Your Own Boyfriend website. Everyone had laughed but continued to reprimand you for having your standards too high.

It was on your walk home that the ad had first caught your attention.

“Are your standards too high?” The smooth female advert cut through your epic jam session. “Well, do we have a solution for you.”

The advertisement had listed off a website that would allow you to custom order an intelligent robot that would learn and grow to your needs.

You blew it off as clickbait and skipped the ad as soon as you could. You finished your walk home and promptly took a shower. A certain ash blond in your heroics class had chased another student into the forest and you had to chase the both of them down.

As you settled into your nightly routine, you found it hard to keep your mind from wandering back to the ad, imagining the sort of man you’d order.

‘He’d have to be at least six feet tall and handsome as the devil. Hmm, punctual and unafraid to sleep until noon with a sense of humor.’

You continued to play with that idea through the evening and into your slumber, dreaming of what he might look like and how he would feel.

The next morning, you were awoken by a very flustered and excited Nemuri, who let herself in again.

“Y/N! Y/N! Y/N! HAVE YOU SEEN THIS!” The R rated hero shoved her phone into your face before you had even opened your eyes to process what was going on.

Her web browser was open to the website you heard about yesterday.

“YOU CAN CUSTOM ORDER A ROBOT BISHIE BOYFRIEND! THEY EVEN HAVE A COLONEL SANDERS!”

“Nem, you’re an absolute horndog and you don’t need a bishie boyfriend Colonel Sanders. What time is it?” You pulled some hair that had stuck you face via drool from your mouth and stretched.

“ITS 5:45 AM!”

“NEMURI WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!”

You wrestled her into your guest bedroom and pushed an old wardrobe infront of the door to keep her in while you finished getting your beauty sleep.

When 7:00 rolled around, you released your friend and listened to her rant about the website over breakfast.

“Just look at it, Y/N. Please~” You swiped her phone from her hand and scrolles through the other tabs that held customization screens.

“Oh lord.” They had an entire tab for just his manhood.

“Pretty great, huh?”

The idea of customizing a boyfriend almost seemed taboo to you.

“It sounds like it could be clickbait or a way to steal your credit card information.” You returned her phone and turned to the stove to flip the egg you were cooking.

“Uh huh. And what if I told its not?” Nemuri pushes her chest against your back.

“Get off me, and how?” You gently pushed her away from you.

“I ordered one. He came last week.” The smirk she gave proved she was not kidding. “He’s absolutely perfect. After classes today, you can come and see him.”

She really did it? Strangely enough, you’re not surprised she did that.

“Wait, what about Snipe?” You thought everything was going smooth between them.

“Well, our relationship just was kind of a blur between dating and friends with benefits. Our sex was more chill and relaxed then it ever was actually passionate.” Nemuri reached into a cabinet and grabbed a plate.

You nodded in understanding. The majority of your dates ended up in friendships then actual relationships.

“And when I heard the ad for the boyfriend builder, he told me to get one. He said, and I quote, ‘You should get him. He’d make a better relationship. But if y'all ever need a real fuck, you know where to find me,’. AND I DID!”

Nemuri danced around with her egg on a plate before she sat down.

“Have you done anything with it yet?” You sat across from her and tilted your head in curiosity.

“Oh yes. We’ve been on dates and Hizashi is the absolute sweetest. I can’t wait to ravage him.”

“Hizashi?” It had a name?

She nodded. “The website has a name generator that you can use. They base their names off of the set personality. It chose Hizashi Yamada.”

“He sounds sweet.”

“Yep! He’s really loud though. They grow with you, so it’s understandable.”

You almost choked on your egg hearing that. “They’re practically sentient?!”

Nemuri nodded and quickly finished her egg. She washed her plate and announced that she had to go get ready for school. You followed her words and proceeded to get dressed. You lay everything out in the evening, so it didn’t take long to get ready. 

As you ran a comb through your hair, you opened the website on your phone. Deciding that there isn’t much to lose, you began to fill the order form out.

Six feet tall, Long Dark Hair, Just Enough Stubble To Be Sexy. The list went on. You managed to fill it out just in time to leave.

The daily trek to UA was as boring as ever, until you heard an strange noise. An animal in distress. Choosing that you’d rather be late to work then leave an animal hurt in the streets, you followed the noise. It lead to deep in an alley not far off your route.

You sifted through some garbage bags until you found the source of the noise. It was a mother cat with two little kittens. They were sickly thin and clearly struggling to survive. 

Evaluating your options, you came to the conclusion that instead of wasting more time to bring them to the vet all the way across town, you used your quirk to convince the mama cat to let you pick her and her babies up and quickly called up Recovery Girl to cash in a favor she owed you.

She agreed to help the cats and keep them in her office until the end of the day so you could take them home. Rushing to her office and then to your class left you breathless and dead on the floor in front of your students.

“Um, Miss. L/n? Are you alright?” Your problem student, Izuku Midoriya, asked.

“DANDY! JUST DANDY!” You yelled through the muffle of your hair and the floor. “I saved three cats from right outside my house, which is a half an hour walk from here, ran here, ran to Recovery Girl’s office, then up two flights of stairs to get here. I’m pooped.”

You got up and brushed yourself off. After apologizing to your class, you read off the daily announcements. You handed out graded papers and assisted students where they needed it until it was time for their first class of the day.

Using your free time, you stopped in to actually chat with Recovery Girl and check on the cats.

“They were malnourished and most likely wouldn’t of survived another day out there. Both kittens are sick but should recover swiftly, and the mom is already up and walking.” She explained.

“Have you figured out their genders?” You planned on keeping them and wished to find names for them as soon as possible.

“Ones a girl and the other is a boy. Are you going to keep them?”

You shook your head yes and squatted down to pet the mama who came up for some love. “I like the name Kayuma for the mother, but I still need some time for the babies. Maybe I’ll ask my class.”

Recovery Girl agreed and wrote some notes on the cats. You picked Kayuma up and pulled your phone from your pocket. You wanted to get a picture with your new cat, but your attention was pulled to a notification that went unnoticed.

Your order has been shipped! The package should arrive by 4pm!

“It’s already been shipped?” You wondered out loud.

“What’s been shipped?” You jumped at the new voice. Toshinori Yagi.

“Ah, some pet supplies for the cats. I ordered some after reading the announcements.” Technically not a lie because you really did.

“Oh! Already thinking about the newest additions to your family, how lovely.” Toshinori put a hand on your shoulder and gave a reassuring squeeze. “If you ever need any help or a cat-sitter, you can always ask me. My master loved cats so I know a thing or two.”

“Thanks for the offer, Tosh. You’ll be the first I call.”

The bell rung signaling the start of lunch and had the three of you scrambling to prepare for the second half of the day.

A few brief meetings and some class prep later, the day had finally ended. You sent out a quick email to your students asking about names for the cats and packed up your stuff, ready to go home and meet your new boyfriend.

“Hey! Y/n! Wait up!” Nemuri bounced up to you and clung to your arm. “Are you going to come over tonight?”

“Um…. No. I have the cats and I have to get everything ready for them.” You rubbed the back of your neck sheepishly, hoping she wouldn’t catch on.

“Uh huh. How about Hizashi and I come by to meet your new boy?” Nemuri placed her hand on her hip knowing full well that you weren’t paying attention to what she said.

“Oh yes, that would be lovely.” It took a bit before you processed what she said. “NEMURI, WAIT! THE CATS! I THOUGHT YOU MEANT THE CATS!”

“NOPE! WE’RE COMING OVER!” Nemuri skipped away before you could get a word in otherwise, leaving you alone and quite exasperated.

You picked up the cats and trekked home, a feat easier said than done with three now energetic cats in your arms. You pushed the door of your house open with your foot. 

Sighing, you let the cats roam for a bit as you set up the litter box and feeders from previous pets. It was almost four and the nerves were getting to you. Watching the new kittens romp around the living room while Kayuma lied on a pillow by the heating vent.

‘I hope my bot likes cats. I want so many.’ You didn’t get much time to think about your new boyfriend due to Nemuri and Hizashi bursting in at exactly four.

“WHERE IS HEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!” Nemuri squealed as soon as she entered the living room.

“Hey! He hasn’t arrived yet. Do you see a large crate?” Hizashi placed a hand on her shoulder to keep her from pouncing on you. “I apologize for her, she’s terribly excited.”

“Oh yeah, I know. She’s literally vibrating with excitement. I don’t think she’s calmed down since high school.” You stood from the couch where you had placed yourself in preparation for her outburst. “My name is Y/n Y/L. Nem sings praises of your name.”

“I’m Hizashi Yamada. She speaks about you quite often.” He extended his hand and you took it.

Your eyes widened at the warmth of his hand. You weren’t expecting him to feel so…

“Real? Is that what you were thinking?” Hizashi’s words startled you from your thoughts. “It’s always that look when people know I’m a robot.”

“I hope I didn’t offend you! I just wasn’t expecting it.”

“Nah, it’s fine. Better to get the shock over with me then with him.” Hizashi pointed to the door a second before a knock resonated through off of the front door. 

You walked to the door and opened it up. A beautiful woman was standing next to a six-foot large wooden crate. She resembled Nemuri.

“Hello! My name is Kiara! Thank you for ordering a Boyfriend! May we come in?” You nodded and open the door wider.

She picked up the crate with a trolley and rolled it into the house. She wheeled it into the living room and stopped in surprise when she saw Nemuri and Hizashi.

“Well, hello! How have you two been faring?” She set the crate down and stepped up to Hizashi. “You’re looking good.”

“We’ve been fine. How about you?” Hizashi responded.

“Oh, you know, delivering joy and boyfriends. My life and passion.” Kiara patted his shoulder and turned back to you. “Hizashi is probably one of my best. I’m so proud he got placed with my amazing cousin.”

Nemuri blushed and buried her face in Hizashi’s neck.

“Do you… Do you make them all?” You looked to the crate and to Hizashi.

“Yep! I hand make all of them! My quirk makes it super easy to finish quickly!” She clapped her hands together and her expression turned serious. “But enough about me. It’s now about you and your future!”

She quickly walked over to the crate and pulled the front off, revealing your new bot.

You quickly moved to throw a blanket over him while Nemuri cackled like a witch.

With that exchange, the two pro heroes pounced on each other in fight of friendly anger. With the attention on them, no one noticed the man in the crate open his eyes to the harsh light of the world. 

He looked down and noticed the blanket draped haphazardly across his body before readjusting it around his waist and stepping out of his container. 

A brief glance around with apathetic eyes shown that the room he was in was loud and obnoxious. Two people stood idly by as another two women fought on the floor. He padded up to the group undetected and observed the others in the room. With every attempt to tear his attention away from your form, the pull to you was overpowering.

Everything about you was mesmerizing. From your H/c hair to the gentle pull of your clothing around your curves. He was enthralled, absolutely enchanted.

“What the fuck is going on here. You two are squealing like pigs in the slaughter.” His mouth moved on its own, bringing the attention to him.

The look in our eyes is something that he’ll treasure forever. It was sweet and full of excitement and love. How he knew this, the answer never came to him, but he knew it was love and all he wanted was to see that look on your face forever.

“Oh! He’s awake! How are you feeling?” The woman in the business suit asked.

“Tired.” As much as he tried, he could not pry his eyes away from you. “Yet, I feel so full of energy.”

The only other male nodded. “Yep. When I first woke up, I felt like that.”

He cast his gaze to the male for as long as he could before his eyes trailed back to you. He smirked and took a step closer to you.

“Are you like us?”

You shook your head ‘no’, “Sadly, I am not. But I promise to love you like we are the same.”

“What’s his name?” The bluette asked suddenly. “Didja get one picked out from the site or did you have one in mind?”

With their eyes on you, it hit you like a truck when you realized that not only did you not have a name picked out for him, you forgot to click the enabler for the name generator.

“Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit,”  you dragged out. “I was so busy with classes and the cats that I forgot. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh. I’m a shitty girlfriend.”

“Cats?” He asked.

“Yeah. Three cats. They’re around here somewhere.” You flopped dramatically onto your couch and buried your face in your arms.

“Well, we could help. I made him and I know Hizashi’s creative. Not too sure about Midnight though.” Kiara suggested.

“Thanks Kiara. Nem, don’t take any offense to that. She doesn’t know you the way I do.” You peeked at your friends through your hair and noticed that your boyfriend has disappeared. Probably to find the cats.

“She’s right though.” Hizashi snickered.

Nemuri tackled him to the ground and all you could do was watch while they wrestled on the ground.

Suddenly, a knock at the door made you all jump.

“Shit, who is that?” You cursed before standing to get to the door when you heard it open.

A faint, “Um, hello sir. Is Y/n home?” was heard and then some shuffling. Toshinori.

“You’re fucked.” Nemuri said from the floor.

“Yeah, no shit.”

Not a second later, Toshinori followed him into the room where you all were. Thankfully he had found some clothes.

“Hey, Tosh~” You tried to say as casual as you could. “What brings you to this part of town?”

“Y/n, I live down the street from you and you left your papers back at U.A.” Toshinori held up the stack of paper you were certain you grabbed. “And I think you might have mine.”

“Oh yep! Probably. I was so frazzled and excited about the cats I must’ve grabbed the wrong stack. Here, come with me. They’re still in my bag.” You lead Toshinori into the hall where your bag was.

“The cats or him?” He asked and you choked on air. 

“W-wait. You’ve got the wrong idea.”

“Uh huh. And what of that giant crate in your living room? It looks suspiciously like the one Nemuri threw out when she met her boyfriend.” He cocked an eyebrow at you. 

“Ugh. You’re a dumbass but you’re too smart.” You looked around despite the fact everyone in the house already knew. “He’s a bot I ordered.”

“Do you like him?” He asked.

“Huh? I’m not sure.” You pulled your bag off of the hook and started rifling through it. “I’m definitely attracted to him, but feelings will take time.” 

“Yet I can see the empathy in your eyes. There is some infatuation there.” 

“LEAVE ME ALONE! STOP BEING SMART!” You found the papers and checked to see if they were his. “Here. Do you want to meet him? I was going to have everyone stay for dinner to get to know each other.”

Toshinori nodded and quickly tucked his papers in his bag.

You walked back into the living room and the sight made your heart swell. All three of the cats had curled up on his lap while he sat on the couch between Kiara and Hizashi as Nemuri brushed his hair. They were quietly chatting about the cats that paused when we came in.

“Didja get it all figured out?” Nemuri asked.

THE OWLS ARE IN! IT’S TIME FOR THE SURVEY RESULTS!

So, as many of our followers are probably aware, we recently did a survey to get a feel of what people thought of our blog. We got a total of 57 results and we are grateful to each and every one of you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. Now, we’re here to share the general consensus of what people thought and how we will accommodate these opinions.

We’ll definitely have some changes to the blog, so read on to see what those changes are!

Before we begin, we have a few things to briefly mention.

The results are pretty scattered. We didn’t want to restrict anyone, so most were free response or included “Other”. In hindsight, there were a few questions that could have easily been multiple choice without really restricting anyone. (Side eyes the first question.) Therefore, most of these will just summarize the results we got. Occasionally drop the graph for the multiple choice questions.

Because of the large amount of responses we got, not every answer will be listed here. We highlighted the things that were either most commonly mentioned or had us thinking the most.

We’re sorry you feel that way. We always put it in the tags, just in front of the source. We are more of a mod-based blog rather than a submission-based blog. Anyone is welcome to submit, but about 98% of our posts are created by our mods.

How often should we post?

We got a lot of variety here. Some say once a day (which is how often we currently post) was ideal. Others put stuff like...

“I wouldnt mind my entire blog just being filled with your posts.”

While Once A Day is the most voted for, the rest of the options put together, which we’ll name Two or More Times a Day, do win overall. Since we have one new post followed by a reblog, we’ll compromise by posting two times a day, but with one new post a day (the second being a reblog).

In UTC, what times do you prefer us posting?

As expected, not many people cared. But two people felt very strongly and voted for 12am, 1am, and 6pm UTC. So, we’ll consider that.

What characters, relationships, universes, etc. would you like to see more represented in our posts?

We got a lot of responses here, primarily being more Wolfstar, Jily, and BFFs James and Sirius. We also got a lot saying we should post about Hinny, Romione, next gen, FBAWTFT, etc. in which I remind you that this is a Marauders blog.

We also got the hilarious response that said we should maybe post about the “merauders”. Well, we can certainly promise you that.

We also got a lot of people saying more McGonagall. That’s something we can definitely do.

Would you like to see more original quotes from us?

For the longest time, the option 50/50 was at exactly 50%. Kind of disappointed that is no longer, but the 25% option is at 25%, so that’s something. Anyway, we’ll aim for 50/50.

What else would you like to see us post?

This was one of the results that will make the biggest change to the blog. People seem to really love these ideas. So expect...

Marauder Mondays! Every Monday we’ll have Marauder Monday, where we’ll answer asks, reblog posts, and have a party! Probably when we’ll post the “extra” posts, like our GIFs, graphics, aesthetics, videos, etc.

How would you feel if we did sponsored posts?

Combined, it seems like ~75% of those who took the survey are good with sponsored posts.

These results honestly surprised us. We’ve gotten a lot of offers of sponsorships in the past but have always denied them because we didn’t know how our followers would feel. We probably won’t do this in the near future, but it’s an option.

What kind of projects would you like to see us host?

We got so many people suggesting merch. Shirts, stickers, pins, other merch... So we’ll keep that in mind! We’d love some Marauders shirts ourselves.

Blackbox Theater in Gehenna

Ahem.  I haven’t done this in a while so, bear with me.  No, really, Bear, *grabs shirt hem*  I want to wander for a bit.  Take a walk with me down the tangents for a bit.  So, I’ve been working on my book.  My weird way of trying to put myself out there while exercising my mind and imagination again after being stuck in between real life in Malsheem and the inside of my head in Gehenna.  Trying to come up with a way I can dress up real life in order to understand what’s going on in a world where anything can happen.  I’m trying to make heads or tales of the patterns I think I see in the world around me.  Everything starts with a question.  And the question drops like a stone into the Astral Sea, sending out ripples of effect in everything.  But I can’t see all of the angles to understand where each ripple originated by myself.  I try, but when I do I feel like there’s always two sides of my personality warring for control over everything.  So, since you’re not only my singular follower on here besides a bot, you’re also the most science brained individual I know that is still willing to pat me on the head and say, “ok, I’ll suspend my disbelief in anything unexplainable by science and just believe for a little bit.”

So, here’s the question that started this particular tangent.  I’ve been trying to figure out how to use Lilly as an avatar to help me get my thoughts in line.  99.9% of this writing has been me reverse engineering my friends’ personalities into fictional characters that respond as they might have if we were role-playing the characters I created for them.  Jareth is a character, for example, that was once played by my buddy, Jimmy.  His explanation for Old Ones was nearly a direct quote as to how he described it to me when I was trying to get a handle on Lilly’s crazy.  I could have kissed him.  As soon as he explained it, something clicked in my head as I was trying to explain why Lilly is so fucked up.  Well, I thought I could keep that one locked up for a while and try to build up to it more, but I just can’t.  It feels like taking three steps backward in the writing when I do.  But it started raising more questions in my head, and I’ve never been good at juggling.  Questions started dropping out from between my fingers, sending out so many questions, I couldn’t keep up.  It’s gotten to the point as I’m trying to figure out how to tie off loose ends from earlier chapters without cheesing it (because I’ll fucking forget where I buried the leads and get lost in the fucking minefields again) that both Lilly and I are about to say fuck it, I’m going back to working in the toil and we’re going to do everything possible to forget we ever peeked at the last few pages of the book.  We spoiled the ending for ourselves and now we are in a constant state of hurry up and wait.  And we’re tired.  She’s pissed, I’m just defeated.  No, that’s not the right word.  Done.  Yeah.  Thankfully, Lilly is the part of my brain that never stops moving.  She’s constantly wandering down through the halls of the Library, (which looks like an MC Esher nightmare, BTW) pulling down boxes and picking through them to try and find all of the pieces of the puzzle to finally get out of my head.  And you know what happens when I start to hyper-focus of the pieces instead of looking at how they fit together.  Wooo Shiney happens entirely too much.  So, when I say I’m done, it’s not the depression talking, it’s the apathy warring with my reasonability.  When I say I’m done, I’m mean I’m done giving a shit.  I’m done trying to put my life on display in such a way that I can’t tell what tone of voice to read it in.  I can’t figure out who it is that I’m talking to.  I don’t know who is going to read it which is why I pinpointed a person that doesn’t exist in this world. Normally, I would try to motivate myself by saying “maybe.”  But, I’ve always known, just like every kid does, that “maybe” is really “no” in disguise.  Unless you get a solid yes and/or proof of validity, anything else is a “no”.  You get used to hearing all of the variations of “no” to the point where you expect it from everyone and when you do hear “yes” you immediately question the person’s level of trustworthiness.  Are they just fucking with me and, if they are, what are they getting out of it?  “You.  You want to be my friend?  Wait, why?  I’m a horrible individual.  I’m an asshole.  I’m actually proud of the fact that I really could give a shit about the vast majority of the population.  All I care about is me and mine.”  But my problem is I can’t stop adopting strays.  I try to put myself out there to draw in others like me and find the good ones to keep.  That’s why Jareth/Jimmy keeps lecturing me about my accidental families.  And then I look at the nest of weirdos I’ve created and, well, you’re married to one of them, you know what I’m talking about.  Like, I love them all, but they make my brain hurt sometimes.  “Yes, kids, I love you, now go play in the corner, Mommy has a lot of shit do and I’m starting to understand while some species of animals eat their young.”  I’m so thankful nature decided to take my ability to procreate without fertility treatments.  I have enough deviants to keep me amused, I do not need children.  At least with mine, I can hand them a pair of scissors and not have to wor... nevermind, I take that back.  I can feel the bullshit cough from here.  My point is, I’m a tech, I can wrangle the clowns and fix their chainsaws, but I do not have the energy to keep the rest of the circus in order at the same time.  The rest of the show has to fall to someone else.  That’s why I’m using D&D as a set for the stage.  When I try to build the world from scratch on my own, I have to try and make it unique enough to showcase my skills at descriptions, but I get lost in the descriptions and forget that I have to make sure the characters stay on track with the story through their interactions.  Using D&D gives me a static resource set to get a mental image of the world in which Lilly lives.  With the set already built, I can put down the tech belt and go run with the clowns to burn off some excess energy.  But I have to make sure Lilly is rounded out well enough not overwhelm the party.  Unfortunately, since the story is inspired by real life events and thought processes (somewhat, it’s D&D for fuck’s sake) I’ve reached the point where I’m going to have to do META ass shit in order to get past Act One.  After that, in real life, I have to find some source of income that doesn’t involve donating plasma to pay my cell phone.  I want to write.  I want to be creative.  I have a million and one ideas on things I could try, but I also know that I have to get out of Malsheem if I’m ever going to get to the Feywild for real.  And that takes coin because I have yet to figure out portal tech as a practical application.  That’s on the shelf marked “the geometry is wrong” in the “don’t go in there, it’s weird” section of the Library.  I need an adult to go in there.  I just scared myself in two different ways thinking about going in there alone, the first was the atmospheric drop in temperature and the second was the sudden realization that I tend to be smart enough to know better, but too dumb to quit.  I will open some box or book and, yeah.  I’m not allowed in there without supervision.  Ok, that started a ripple of potential hypnotherapy sessions.  Provided I could find someone actually capable of hypnotizing me. Anyway.  That’s right, the point.  Lilly is supposed to be my character, my way of telling my story through the filter of fantasy so I can make sense of it all. And I can’t stay stuck at my desk anymore, hoping and praying that’ll I’ll do something right this time.  So, I’m going to make sure she’s at a playable level and do some pick-up games with her when I can get time to myself to be able to play between working at a *shudders* normal job long enough to clean up my credit and get a place of my own somewhere.  Then, I’ll be able to reassess the situation without the continuous irritation of Dopple-Mom interruptions.  If I have to go back to the call-centers, I might be able to power through it like I did before.  I’m just going to have to watch out for the traps I fell into last time. But I’ll have to put the book on hiatus until I’m in a place of my own and can relax when I get off work enough to be able to think freely.  It won’t really gather any readers or foot-traffic on Royal Road while I’m working, but I’m ok with that.  It takes away the pressure of trying to build an audience while the book is still being written.  Granted, that would make it easier to transfer into an actual novel format once it’s completed and have a market waiting for release so I *can* write for a living.  But, hope in one hand and shit in the other, all you get is pink-eye.  I can’t control who sees my stuff.  I can’t control its reception or the opinions thereof that dictate word of mouth marketing.  When your success in a field is dependent on the reviews of your work by the general public, sometimes it’s better to just stop giving a fuck.  I’m not going to try and build an audience ahead of time anymore.  I’m just going to write and release chapters until I have to hit the hiatus button.  If the story dies because I can’t find the time or the motivation to write, it’ll just be added to the failed attempts pile.  Not the first, not the last.  Smart enough to know better, too dumb to quit, remember?  I’ll try again at some other point to write a story worth sharing.  It just won’t be inspired by real life.  Just straight fantasy so I have a place in my head I can visit that’s nice to hang out in for a change.

The Battle Ends Eventually

"Any last words, Ozpin?" Cinder said, stepping on his heaving chest.

"Hajhh....urg... Cinder... You and I both know my last words... Wont really be my last."

"Yes but the professor you are possessing might have some? Why not let him say his, since he wont be reincarnating?"

"You might not like what he has to say."

"Shut up Ozpin, let your possession victim speak." Cinder growled.

Ozpin smiled and nodded.

He opened his mouth.

"WHAT IS LOVE?"

"BABY DONT HURT ME?"

"DONT HURT ME..."

"NO MORE."

Emerald started grinning and head bobbing while he sang. "This is the shit!" She said.

"Emerald I can still make a whip out of fire if you keep swearing." Cinder said, and looked down at Ozpin. "You made your point, now stop singing!"

Problem was, his song echoed throughout Beacon and Penny and Uncle Qrow had come flying in on swords and crow wings to save him. Emerald was unluckily distracted and was viciously slashed aside by Uncle Qrows scythe. She tumbled away with her aura low and with light scratches going up her abdomen. "Ahh...! Fuck! That hurt like a-"

"What did I just..?" Cinder formed a fire whip, but then noticed Qrow rushing towards her. She lashed with her whip and in the blink of an eye it burned his hand and wrapped around the scythe. She yanked it back, sending it flying.

Unfortunately for Cinder, it came flying towards her. She used her flame sword to knock it aside, but it distracted her from Penny who was rolling towards her.

Yes, rolling. Penny was in the center of a flying wheel made of swords. A wheel that could slice a person in half, or at least stab them if they had aura left. Cinder didnt notice until the last second, and the only thing she could do was raise her sword in defense. Meanwhile Ozpin continued to sing.

CHIIIING!

Fire and sparks blew everywhere as Cinder was struck by a few swords that broke away from the wheel when it got halted. She unleashed a fireball at close range in a rage, causing an explosion that engulfed her and Penny.

Qrow and Emerald watched. There was just a cloud of smoke and the sound of electricity crackling. As the spoke rose, he could see Penny. She lay there with her legs jittering uncontrollably. Her face and toso had been blackened, but her green eyes glowed through the smoke seemingly just fine. She was protected by a swirling forcefield of swords spinning around her in spread out high-speed orbits.

Penny had nothing really to say. Penny was legitimately scared, as she was not a bot without feelings. Of course, Penny was known to be brave so she could overcome her fear but it remained there nonetheless. She located Cinder above her. "There!" She cried out and pointed up. Cinder was floating on silent halos of blue flame under her feet. Ozpin tried to sit up, coughing, but and arrow pinned him to the ground.

"Oz, no!" Uncle Qrow said, shocked. He had his scythe back, and flung it up at Cinder who was rushing towards him with Phoenix wings.

It missed, because cinder did not actually move from her levitation spot. The scythe embedded itself in the floor several meters away.

"Dammit! Again with the illusions!"

Penny glared up at her, finally having something to say to her. "You.. You killed so many people! Nobody had to die today, if you just stayed home! So many humans and faunus are...!"

"I dont care. And you are just a silly little robot." Cinder said in a strangely seductive voice. She blocked several swords with a firewall so hot that when the swords came through, they crackled and turned off and clattered to the floor. The air itself around Cinder was vibrating. She loaded another arrow into the bow, and yanked back the string...

The string broke.

"What the..."

"My, what bad luck you seem to be having." Uncle Qrow said.

Cinder formed a flaming spear in her hands. "No matter." She said. But there was matter. Atlas soldiers were rushing into the hall. A pair of very brave men loaded a large bazooka with water dust, and fired at Cinder. "ACK!" She was instantly engulfed in steam. The loaded another while other soldiers fired regular machines guns at her. The firewall was less effective in stopping these. Cinder threw a massive fireball their way, incinerating several men.

Penny meanwhile was taking the time to charge up her final attack. It was taking longer to charge than usual the charge up because a few of her swords were non-functional. Emerald tried to warn Cinder but a small piece of the ceiling had dislodged and fell on her head, knocking her out. How unlucky for her.

Penny fired. But unluckily for her Cinder chose that exact moment to charge the remaining soldiers with her sword. Her beam blasted the ceiling in a long arc as she tried to hit cinder with it, but no luck.

"Uncle Qrow!" Penny glared at him. "Youre supposed to be on my side!"

"I cant help it kid, sorry." Uncle Qrow said as he pulled his scythe from the floor by making revert to the smooth sword form and chased after Cinder. Penny flew up off the ground using her swords for lift and pursued her outside as well.

Today at Beacon Academy, the white fang brutally attacked the school with illegal weapons and attempted to free their local leader, Adam Taurus. Adam Taurus remains in captivity. The attack failed thanks to the assistance of an Atlas robot named Penny Polendina, who blew back the gas clouds and stopped many of the criminals herself. This bought the academy time until the turbine suction ships arrived to clear the air completely and reinforcements arrived to secure the grounds. However, there was an attack on the headmaster as well. This attack was carried out by two women, named Cinder and her adoptive daughter Emerald. Headmaster Ozpin was legally injured. The fate of Beacon is uncertain, but an injured teacher by the name of Glynda Goodwitch has been nominated for becoming the new headmistress. "I have plans to change our prisoner rules here." Glynda has been quoted on saying.

Several members of the white fang retreated from school grounds. If you see any members of the organization, contact your local authorities immediately.

General Ironwood: Penny Polendina appears to have been damaged multiple times. A cut in her side allowed for flame to get into her insides, messing up the circuitry leading down in her legs. A few of her swords need to be made for her as well. Oh, the villains? Reports show that two members of Cinders posse were subdued but we cannot seem to find them anywhere. Cinder herself was able to get away without... What she came here for.

Ruby: Penny! Is Penny okay?? Carefully guys, shes a hero!

Torchwick: Stop handcuffing me! I didnt attack the school! I helped defend it! Neo stop giggling this is not funny! Okay I guess it is a little funny but OW LET ME GO!

Cinder: Okay sure that did not go as planned but we did get Ozpin. Thats what really matters right..? I hope Salem understands... Why am I talking to you about this? Go away.

Reasons I’m Bitter: Almost Human Edition

It’s been over four years since Almost Human was canceled after one season. In looking it up today to remind my generally science fiction-hating sister who also loved it (as did my entire family—which usually only happens with sitcoms) that it’s gone, I found an article about “terrible shows” that Fox canceled. I admit, outwardly it does just seem like a buddy cop drama with a twist, but even if that was all it offered, have we as an audience actually tired of the trope?

This time, we got human cops who must be paired with android partners. How is that not a fun twist on the buddy cop genre?

Anyway, here are just a few reasons in no particular order why I’m still bitter (some of them are for the Great Shipping™, just so you’re forewarned):

Karl Urban and Michael Ealy were fantastic together! Amazing chemistry!

Subverted the human and robot dynamics (super soft android who is great with kids and wants to talk about issues while the human is closed off and wants to pretend feelings don’t exist)

The specific android that Dorian (Ealy) plays is a type that has been replaced in the police department and because they’re “too emotional” so now most cops have these boring nobody unfeeling androids instead

Cute silly moments like them singing Elton John’s “Bennie and the Jets” together

Emmy-nominated special effects (You read that correctly: Amazing top-notch special effects on a non-premium science fiction television show. It was a fucking gift.)

Fox aired the episodes out of order so it was confusing to watch when it aired and therefore harder for the audience to follow (just like they did for Firefly, etc.)

The ethical dilemmas of the future (including sex bots, genetically-engineered children, etc.)

Strong female police captain who is not all hard edges but actually sweet and considerate as well

Good cast in general

Rudy! Played by the guy from Pirates of the Caribbean who has the fake eye/some dude in Game of Thrones. He’s a techie who loves the androids and is cute with Dorian and gives us nice comic relief. (I love him, even if he is a little bit pervy.)

An actual quote from a scene in “Are You Receiving?” (what a title):

KENNEX (Human, Karl Urban): Hold this. And this.

DORIAN (Android, Michael Ealy): What am I doing here?

KENNEX: You're heating my coffee. Hey! I like it hot.

DORIAN: It's best between 155 and 175 degrees, most people prefer it at 175. You like it at 165, and that's what it is.

KENNEX: You know how I like my coffee?

DORIAN: Yes, I, unlike you, pay attention to details, like what time it is and what time you're supposed to pick up your partner for shift.

KENNEX: Oh, I pay attention to details, like you just put your finger in my coffee.

DORIAN: If you'd like, I could put it somewhere else.

(!!! A fucking fingering joke? Are you kidding me? I could die.)

Things Dorian the android is confirmed to have:

A “synthetic soul” (ROBOT WITH A SOUL)

A dick (ROBOT WITH CONFIRMED GENITALS) (The replacement cop robots do not have dicks, just FYI.)

There was just generally a lot of cool future stuff and the plot was good and the characters and their relationships develop nicely (if you watch in the correct order) and it left off with a cliffhanger about Dorian’s creator and what was on the other side of the wall and now we’ll never know and I’m angry

Also, it had a lot of inspiration from Blade Runner but it was modern-futuristic with way more POC

Oh yeah, the human cop lost his leg and has PTSD and has an electronic android leg that he has trouble dealing with

Dorian tells him to lube himself up with olive oil to help. And then later comments when he knows John did (*Martha Stewart voice* It’s a good thing)

It was just fucking cool

All in all, it was fantastic and, to be honest, we probably didn’t deserve it since I remember literally seeing people comment at the time that it was too unbelievable for Dorian to have trouble being accepted because he’s a robot when the bigger issue is that he’s black. Like, yikes. Humans are terrible.

Anyway, if you want to legally experience this treasure, it’s available for purchase on Amazon (DVD or digital), but the episodes are still out of order, so check here for the correction (through the production order numbers). Or just, like, illegally download it or stream it because it probably makes no difference at this point. :(

(I have some far-fetched hope that somehow this will get renewed by someone else still, but I know the likelihood is probably less than zero percent. So, like, just suffer with me.)

The Current Cast: A Summary Post(HEH)

THE PARTY Susie More or less the current Dorothy. She's not exactly a fan of her current life in the underground, and, is looking to change it. Thanks to her Deltarune adventure, she now has some degree of meta powers, although, she tries not to overdo it, mostly just using them when it would come in handy, or to bring others from the Deltarune worlds back. Also, she has a swordaxe, possibly thanks to having a human SOUL in her. Her and Chara don't get along very well initially, possibly because Susie's more of a pacifist this time around.

Chara The beginning Toto. Since her human SOUL was ripped out(She had grown a new one before Roz), once they arrived in Roz, she became a dog monster, specifically a yellow labrador. She is not amused, to say the least. She probably would have killed Tei(The Wicked Witch of the East), if not for Susie being there to warn her. A couple of the reasons Susie and Chara don't like each other, but not limited to just those two reasons, is that, Chara essentially took away Kris, and brought back the Underground, and, may or may not be Susie's Metamom. Oh, and, did I mention she kept that birdcage with Kris' SOUL in her inv?

Tobes A dog from Lolli town some might consider annoying, Susie pretty much adopts him to be her new Toto, after Chara leaves her the first time. Even after they get her back, and get Post as a party member, she still keeps him around, up until the point that she sends Chara through a wormhole, and, then sends him flying through it with a metamade glider. He's basically the superdog, and, comes back slightly later to help with the Poppies

Ralsei Our cute friendly prince/princess from the Dark World, Susie summons them, both because they need a new Toto, and, well- Because she missed Ral. Ral's definitely as friendly, naive, and adorkable as they were before. Although, being in another metaworld has caused Susie and Kris to have more questions about them.

Kris LET THIS CAGED CANARY OUT, LET THIS CAGED CANARY OUT, LET THIS CAG- Oh, thanks. Kris is the original protagonist of the Deltarune world, and, Chara's still been keeping his SOUL in a birdcage. When Asgea temporarily takes Chara's SOUL, Susie puts Kris' in her to replace it, and, the two of them gain a telepathic connection, especially with Kris' lack of a body. He's just as much the same troll and know-it-all you'd expect, guys.

Post Lessee, this tall Scarecrow aesthetic skellie enjoys naps against fences, selling strawdogs, puzzles, singing, puns(to some extent) and, also has a thing for analyzing others, and, using his straw magic against his enemies, mostly binding them. He's a private in the Rozian Force fighting against the Eastern Roz forces. After he joins the party, just imagine how enthused he is about having to confront his captain...

Cap'n Udona The Cyborg Tinfish Leader of the Roz Army that's currently fighting against the Eastern Witch's forces, the party comes across her upon reaching the forest, where she hides in the trees, and throws spears at them. It takes some convincing from Post to talk her down, and make her join the party. She is an experienced soldier and leader, a former member of the royal guard, before Roz even had an army. She's initially not a fan of Susie, and, even quotes her one line from DR, but replaces 'Quiet People' with 'pacifists'. It's only after the party helps her outpost survive an attack from Eastern Roz forces that they start bonding with each other. Also, she's more or less the team mom.

Asgea Starting out this tale as Commander of the Eastern Outpost that's in the way between the party and Central Roz, this, hooded, horned figure, with a long blonde mane of hair flowing out of their, seem mysterious to the party at first, though, for the two most recent members of the party, that might just be because of time. Though, their voice is definitely familiar, and, they definitely know who it is once their face is revealed. They take Chara's SOUL(Chara did a 'Trust me' thing with Susie, not realizing how fast the figure was), and, when battle starts, they break the DR-Style SPARE option, but, as Susie(Or Kris using Susie's body) talks to them, and finds out they've joined the side of their former wife, Tei(East Witch), and are trying to keep Roz out from becoming too affected, Chara and Post repair the SPARE option with help of Post's straw, and, the horned figure joins the party, and Chara finally gets her SOUL back, and becomes human again

Met-Tok The Copper, so-called 'one bot Roz army', Met jumps down from the party, still in his Copper Armored form, but, then, he breaks out of that shell, and shows off his more lithe and tall 'agility mode', complete with bowler hat. Even as an army currently being held back from the combat, he can still be quite a bit of a showoff. He's a nephew of Evoldo, the previous king of Roz's northwestern neighbor, beyond the desert, the Kingdom of Ev. He joins the party later on, after they leave Western Roz for Ev via airship(Or, well, to be technically accurate, while they're about to leave).

THE ROZIAN AUTHORITY ROZ, THE GREAT AND POWERFUL/Rozlie On the surface, they seem to be a giant green goat head, projected onto a screen, that embues power, authority, and respect. ...Buttttt, if you just look behind the curtain(Darn you, Ralsei...), you'll find that she's an adorable, young-looking goat woman in a green magician type hat, whose pretty skilled with Rozian magic and science(Including on their magical gems), and, is also pretty friendly, and, keeps adorable Tem guards around. Also, incase you couldn't guess, she's the daughter of Asgea and Tei.

Ali Assistant to Rozlie, this monocled dino is quite adept at science, her main field being Robotics. She's the one who built Met's current body, and, is also the one who helped turn Udona into a Tinfishborg in the current timeline. Speaking of which, the two of them are currently girlfriends, despite how little they get to see each other these days...

Lei, Good Witch of the North A purple goat woman, The Guardian of North Roz, and one of the three aunts of Rozlie, Lei is a fairly capable magic user. While in the past she helped with diplomacy when it came to countries past the great desert, now she helps Udona's forces against Tei's Eastern Rozian minions. Although, after the battle at the outpost, she decides to have them retreat back to Central Roz for the time being. She later helps against the Poppies

Tor, Good Witch of the South A white goat woman, The Guardian of North Roz, another one of Rozlie's three aunts, and, the first of the sisters to actually become guardian of one of Roz's non-central counties. Her and her county's aesthetic generally tend to be white, silver, and gold, somewhat pristine seeming. Also, she seems somewhat aware, given how annoyed she gets when her theme, 'Popular' starts playing... She, along with Lei, help out against the Poppies

WICKED WITCHES AND CO

The Poppies Creations of the Wicked Witch of the West, Lor, The Poppies are basically a hive mind of flowers with faces. At somepoint during the Party's return, they find the Capital City of Emerald City surrounded by a small sea of red, a 'sea' that happens to be a whole bunch of Poppies. They cause the soldiers besides the party to fall asleep, and, then, some of their petals come up, and, form a giant hyperdeath goat head. At first, they might have the upperhand, but, then Chara and Tobes come back(Because Susie forgot to close the portal), and, make short work of most of them...But, thanks to some trickiness from the remaining Poppies in that area, they assimilate into Chara, becoming Poppy!Chara. They're about to deal with the party, but, then Tor and Lei show up, and, they're forced to beat a hasty retreat to West Roz

Tuffet The Tarantula arachnid bandit queen, with many a monster daughter, both spider and tarantula, and, former Rozian boxing queen, as well Lor's girlfriend and lieutenant/general. This muscular Arachnid is pretty tough, but, I won't delve into too much detail on her yet. She does get annoyed by how much her daughters love Post's strawdogs, though.

Tei, The 'Wicked' Witch of the East A Pink Goat woman, mother of Rozlie, former mate of Asgea, she has odd memories about repeatedly being crushed underneath something...But, thankfully, she survived this time. The current ruler of Eastern Roz, Tei is experienced with her fire and snail magic. And, even though one would think someone wouldn't go to war with their own daughter, her sister, Lor, has convinced her that Rozlie just doesn't know any better, and, that they would be better rulers of the entire nation.

Lor, The Wicked Witch of the West A Green Goat Woman, one of Rozlie's three aunts, and, the well known and feared Wicked Witch of the West, Lor actually started as the assistant to the former wizard of Roz, ☝♋︎⬧︎⧫︎□︎☪, but, at some point in time, something happened to him, and, after some unclear events, she became the new Witch of the West, and, convinced Tei to help her start a war against the Rest of Roz. She's pretty good with magic. Though, she has more help than most people would guess.

Ruggie, the Nome King The Nomes. Are they new to the continent? Have they been there since ancient times? Well...Both yes and no, thanks to Ruggie, the Nome King, a son of the former wizard of Roz, ☝♋︎⬧︎⧫︎□︎☪, he was changed to his currently rocky state, thanks to an old experiment gone wrong. It is thanks to him that things are a bit off in the current continuum. He is a very strong ally for Lor, leading the army of very disturbing skeletons, the Nomes, as well as their Nome dragons...

Done dirty: Ruby

“Main Protagonist” my ass!

Ruby is supposed to be the main protagonist. She’s supposed to have this grand destiny she’s supposed to fulfill, and be the hero.

So why does it feel like she’s taking a back seat to everything important?

Take the Red trailer. We don’t get a whole lot for her, she’s jut there kicking ass. She’s tearing through those Beowolves like they’re nothing, and it’s some great choreography.

Then in Volume 1, we run into the first problem: She kicks the ass of Roman’s men without her weapon.

See, the writers have repeatedly said that Ruby is trash without Crescent Rose, and Volume 5 reinforced that. Not only is it something that is told, it’s something that contradicts what we are shown. Ruby goes gaga in a later episode over weapons, and that’s never brought up again. It would have been a great running gag, and a means to introduce the weapons that the main cast has to the audience in a natural way. Here’s a scenario: After Ruby cuts up those grimm while saving Weiss, she starts examining the weapon. To which Weiss begrudgingly answers the questions in a failed attempt to get Ruby to shut up.

“Ohh! Is this a Rapier mixed with a milti-chamber dust revolver so that you can use them for different effects?”

“Yes.” Weiss ground out.

“And it it made up of a steel-titanium alloy that makes it really durable?” (This part isn’t actually canon, but I think it would be neat if we knew what kind of materials these weapons are traditionally made out of).

“Yes.”

“Can I touch her?”

“What?- No! You can’t touch Myrtenaster!“

“Oh. So the weapon’s name is Myrtenaster?- That’s cool. You should see my sister’s weapons. She called them Ember Celica, and she made it so that they can look like ordinary bracelets when they’re not in use. They mix long-range shotguns with gauntlets, and they’re really cool!”

See that?- All of that could have been a conversation that Ruby could have had with Weiss. Not only would it have been natural, given Ruby’s love for weapons, but it also would have been a great way to introduce the weapons that the cast uses. We could have gotten a similar conversation (using different attitudes depending on the person) with other characters. It could have been a cool bonding moment. Ruby also apparently doesn’t have to prove that she can be a capable leader to Weiss. In this scenario, most would expect that the main leader would have to do something to prove themselves, and prove the person who doubts them wrong. But we don’t get that. All it takes to reinvigorate Ruby’s confidence is a talk from a teacher, and Weiss gets lectured by Ozpin. This could have also led into an interesting bonding moment, and show the differences between how Ruby and Weiss function, and how Blake and Yang function. But we don’t get that character interaction. Ruby gets further robbed of character interaction/development when jaune hijacks the plot to reveal that he’s putting his team in danger due to his lack of experience and reluctance to be trained because ego™. Ruby doesn’t even rush out to find Blake with her semblance, she just… stands there. Doing nothing. Some team leader. She also sides with Weiss on this, and since we never saw any bonding moments between the two, there’s no evidence to believe that the reason she’s siding with Weiss is because of a bond that they have.

Volume 2 also does Ruby an injustice. While the Food Fight has some moments for her (Like quoting Nixon for some reason), she doesn’t do much else. Because she’s not questioned while the team is visiting Mount Glenn, her motives are never questioned. She isn’t questioned on how she plans to accomplish her goal, or on how she would handle tough decisions. Ruby lacks focus in this volume, and the most she gets in terms of bonding with her team and character development is…

This scene… Which, while humorous, doesn’t really add much else. Ruby then uses her speed to defeat JNPR (And here’s a kicker: Assuming that the mess hall is the length of an average school, Ruby is actually only moving 10 Meters per second. She’s slower that freaking Hercule Satan!), and… That’s about it. Apparently she also confronts Cinder during the dance, but she hardly provides anything else. The Ozluminati don’t take any precautions because of this ‘masked intruder,’ none of them bother to check to see if their systems have any malicious hardware on it, they just sit around… With Ozpin probably literally dicking around in his dick chair.

Volume 3 doesn’t add much. Outside of referring to Weiss as her ‘BFF,’ Ruby doesn’t actually do anything in this volume. And get used to that, because this is just the start of that trend. Ruby ends up taking a back seat to a lot of things, like Pyrrha’s first and final character arc, Yang’s framing, and some backstory for the villains. Ruby acknowledges Penny, and… Yeah. That’s kinda it. After that, she has a small breakdown on Pyrrha committing manslaughter (bot slaughter? mechaslaughter? droidslaughter?- Whatever), but that’s undermined by jaune taking Pyrrha aside to repeat the sentiment. Ruby’s words fall on deaf ears because she’s taking a backseat to Pyrrha’s arc. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem, but in normal situations, Ruby’s motives, personality, and other aspects would have made her a character in her own right. And had this not been a rushed attempt to give Pyrrha some non-jaune related characterization before her death, Ruby taking a supporting role would have been normal. After everything, she ultimately defeats Neo (by using a weakness on Ice Cream Girl’s weapon), and watches Roman die. She feels no remorse, nor does she seem to have any real reaction. I mean… This is a young girl! And she just saw two people die right in front of her!- Yeah, Roman’s a villain, but his speech about surviving should have shaken Ruby up a bit. Maybe even force her to realize that some people aren’t bad for the lulz (that’s Cinder’s role), but that they do bad things because they’re in bad situations. Pyrrha’s death ultimately sets off her Silver Eyes, and then Qrow gives her the rundown on her newfound powers. This is where a lot of things start going wrong in a narrative sense for Ruby. She doesn’t question this. She doesn’t ask how they work. And she doesn’t ask how her mother could have been killed if she had this power. Then she sets off, knowing that Yang’s emotionally vulnerable, and that a lot of things went down the drain for her. Sure, Ruby has this grand destiny, but she doesn’t seem to leave a letter specifically for Yang. She leave a generic one for both Yang and Tai.

Volume 4 is where it gets obvious that the writers have likely forgotten about Ruby being, y’know… The first letter in the title. She takes a backseat to jaune’s angst, as well as the Renora duo’s conclusion to their backstory (Let’s face it; Ren and Nora have so little character to them, that they’re basically the same character). Ruby doesn’t comment on Penny’s death, she only acknowledges Pyrrha once, and her mentioning the family that she left behind to go on this quest that her uncle all but explicitly gave to her isn’t even mentioned. And when Ruby is about to finally acknowledge what happened, jaune steps in and is all “Nah, don’t worry about what you’ve done. You’re doing fine.” effectively robbing Ruby of any kind of development that she’d get by questioning herself and her decisions. She sends a letter home, and that’s it. She gives this monologue that genuinely feels that the writers only gave her because they realized, at the last minute “Oh crap! Ruby didn’t have a lot to do this volume!”- So they gave her that speech to make it seem that she grew, but it doesn’t actually feel like she grew.

Volume 5 rolls along, and by this point, we’re almost used to Ruby not getting any development. She isn’t questioning anything that Ozpin tells her. Nobody does. And she then learns hand-to-hand. Now, it feels as if the writers did this, as a means to try to say that they gave Ruby development, but they’re not exactly doing it right.

Yes, Ruby needs development. They acknowledge as much. But they don’t understand how she needs development. If they really wanted to teach her hand-to-hand, have Ruby be the one who suggests it. There’s a video that suggests that Ruby is afraid of her silver eyes, and it’s an interesting idea, albeit, not well-communicated. Here’s an idea as to how it could go down

Ozpin: Now, miss Rose, we will be needing to work on your control over your silver eyes.

Ruby (Frightened): My… My silver eyes?

Ozpin: Yes. Is there a problem?

Ruby: No! I mean, uh… How about I help Oscar train in hand-to-hand? I could use a bit of training without my weapon anyways. Heh heh…

And there you have it. Ruby trains in hand-to-hand because she’s afraid of her Silver Eyes. The last time she used them, a grimm dragon got petrified on top of Beacon Tower, and she fell unconscious for a long time. It would make sense had it been better-communicated to the audience if this were truly the reason why Ruby never once asked about them.

Ruby’s lack of development hardly stops there. She doesn’t get the fight with Cinder (You know… The fight that’s been foreshadowed by practically everything, from the opening themes, to Cinder’s grudge, to freaking episode one where Ruby foils Cinder’s dust heist), she ends up fighting Emerald while jaune’s revenge boner leads him to take on Cinder. That’s like Sokka fighting Ozai while Aang fights the random Fire Nation Soldiers. Jaune should have fought Emerald (While Emerald uses an illusion to make him see Cinder, or even Pyrrha as a means to taunt him), and Ruby gets to be the one to take on Cinder. Her Silver Eyes should have activated when she saw Vernal deplete Weiss’ aura. Because as far as Ruby knows, Vernal is the maiden, and seeing another maiden towering above a friend of hers that doesn’t have any aura should have triggered the Silver Eyes instead. The most she does is tell a speech to Raven that… didn’t really feel like a real thing. Most of the victories we saw on-screen rarely took teamwork, and mostly revolved around one moment of awesome that just undermined the threat of the grimm or big bad guys. She’s about as effective as a level five Bulbasaur in Inferno Cave.

Ruby is constantly taking a backseat to most moments that develop the much more interesting cast and jaune.

And once the story is all said and done?- What is she going to do? What is she going to do once the heroes defeat Salem, and the world is safe from the threat of the grimm?

Yang has some world exploring to do. Blake has equality to keep alive. Weiss has a company to run. Ren and Nora have each other……… What’s left for Ruby? What are her goals for after the adventure is over?

Nothing.

I was reading the Covenant of Primus, and Optimus had this one quote stuck in his head: "Journey ends in lovers meeting" which, acccording to google, was from Twelfth Night. I can practically see him reading classic books online via pdfs.

And if you like the idea of holomatter avatars (I like the idea, but i don't always agree with certain fandom headcanons), then imagine one of the kids playing video games, or watching tv or something. They leave a book they were suppose to do a book report on a table. Optimus notice this, and yeets into holomatter mode, then picks up the book and read it.

Fastfoward a couple weeks later, and the kids are occasionally borrowing books from the library out for optimus. (not all books can be found online after all)

On discord I've been spamming my irl friends with so many quotes from the tfp books, little referances, the fact that i am summarizing exodus to my friend.

But i block out their names.

Don't get me wrong, transformers are neat, but ohh the fear of judgement. If that judgement place in greek mythology is real, and if those waiting lines described in pjo are real, I'd end up spending an eternity watching people go through these lines and never being able to work up the nerve to be judged.

but back to me spamming my friends.

Hello i would like to point out something:

So in the covenant of primus, it is stated that soundwave used to be on the counsel. Once he realizes that the caste system is unfair (? its a teensy bit confusing here for me haha), he got really pissed, and was "most vocal with his anger" (i see the irony there). Anyways, he says a pretty impressive speech (i'll show them under the cut), and when he realizes the council will do nothing important about this issue (Alpha trion was writing everything down, Elita one wanted more time and research, Sentinal wanted reports, and Halogen was gonna study methods of exchanging labour), Soundwave got really, really pissed. He left the counsel, said a couple more bomb quotes, and later on the rest of the council find out that he got a job at kaon city, and was living the life of the lower caste.

if soundwave had the opportunity to go back in time and see the counsel, I get the feeling his general reaction is like "NONE OF THIS WAR BUSINESS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF YOU LAZY MOTHERBITCHES ACTUALLY LISTENED TO ME AND DID SOMETHING USEFUL"

An AU where it's soundwave that starts up the revolution, he still doesn't talk, but does stuff like posting on social media, maybe no text posts, but pictures. Images of bots suffering. Making people question the morality. He becomes co-conspirters with megatron, and Megatron is the one who does most of the speeches, talking about how life would be like for the lower caste.

Omg, and then they post documentaries. Orion gets shoehorn into this because it was his job to censor the media of this stuff, but after watching a few of their clips, Orion gets convinced that this is the right thing to do. So instead of censoring the media, he pushes the content out into the datanet.

Also while i do love gladiator Soundwave, I also get the feeling that he wouldn't be as violent??? Idk. I think he joined megatron's team because everything was already set up, so ye. And when it was becoming evident that megatron may be losing focus, Soundwave is way too loyal at that point. I feel like he also felt like orion was stealing a little bit of megatron's thunder, so while I can see them canoncally chilling, I can see Soundwave slowly becoming colder and colder to Orion.

Idk, (back to my shit of an au) but I feel like soundwave would show a lot of deppresing stuff to sort of shock the audiance. Megatron would descibe in horrifying details about, for example, his experiances in the mines (watching a fellow miner getting trapped under the mines, sometimes hearing cries of help only to go unoticed, etc), and orion tricking his co-workers, and making sure anything concerning this topic is on the datanet.

Oh, and here are the bomb quotes from Soundwave!

I find it cute yet hilarious and depressing the fact that in the covenant of primus, Shockwave pretends he's a parental figure to the dinobots. It's hilarous to imagine him cheerfully talking while grimlock is half stuck in his new alt-mode, cute because I feel like he was genuinely happy, but definately way more depressing because he was experimenting on these people. Like. what the heck man. That's not cool.

On the other hand I do wish that in tfp there was a mini-series going on where it's about the daily life of Shockwave and Predaking, before he came back to rejoin/reunite with the decepticons. Idk, I can see some really cute moments happening, and I like the idea that while Shockwave did just want to bring back these extinct life-forms, a small part of him just wants to interact with people. He was lonely, and he remembers about how he would have very one-sided conversations with his experiments. He decides to not make the same mistake twice (the dinobots broke out of his lab and went to the autobots) and he decides that making a predacon was a great idea.

Also I like the idea that because swoop pretended to be loyal to shockwave (swoop knocked shockwave right off the observatory deck, and four plates of decking, whatever that means) shockwave vowed to not let his emotions interfer with his work, and that's why he acts emotionless.

On the other hand, I know Shockwave was very fatherly-like to the dinobots because they were exeperiments that actually worked, so he just had an ego, and that's probably why he acted like that.
