It's also not as long as it seems - I watched it within a week while working a full time job lmao so it's really not that long

Technically you have two options: in release order, or in-universe chronological order. I personally will choose release order for a first go unless advised otherwise, as prequels released after the original thing do tend to assume you’ve seen the original thing, but I don’t think it would be incorrect necessarily to do in-universe order either (I did that for my second watch). There's no real "correct" way I suppose and it's mostly up to preference. As such, I’ll give you both (also note that all of these do have the main title of “Soukyuu no Fafner” so I’m just listing the sub-titles - search Fafner on your anime source of choice for ease)

Original Release Order Dead Aggressor (26 eps - original series) Right of Left (50 min prequel) Heaven and Earth (sequel movie) Exodus (26 eps - sequel series) Beyond (12 eps - third series) Behind the Line (50 min special - takes place after H&E but before Exodus)

I’d also say that like. If you’re watching and you’re not sure if it’s for you, at least try to get to the end of dead aggressor (and ideally heaven and earth too lmao it’s just. Really good. Huge animation upgrade too, it’s gorgeous). By then you’ll have seen the kind of show it is and 26 eps (plus a 90 min movie) isn’t a super long commitment in terms of anime. Statistically, there's some person out there right now as I type this trying to convince a friend to start one piece so I don't feel bad saying that XD
