Funny how The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, or The Tragedy of Hamlet means a tragedy befalls the people named in the title, while The Tragedy of M*cB*th means the person named in the title is the tragedy that befalls the other characters.

i was feeling somewhat better (emotionally; my cognitive dysfunction is worse than ever) and now i am feeling REALLY REALLY BAD like the beginning of the year and i hope that's not a bad omen. i am straight up not having a good time. i feel incredibly mood swingy so hopefully it'll pass eventually. i have no idea if this is normal

The Journey of the Mind
Beyond Ego’s Boundaries Human consciousness, unbound by the constraints of ordinary thought, possesses an intrinsic ability to transcend the familiar territory of the ego. This journey to higher states unfolds as a delicate dance, one where the ego—the personality construct and guardian of perceived separateness—is bypassed, leaving room for profound shifts in awareness. These elevated states…

hm. soldier poet king 2017 draft class, is this anything
hi! unfortunately this is soooo everything that i enlisted @kitnita to ponder with me abt it when i got this ask (as a fellow 2017 draft freak but with more knowledge on robo + otter while i. well. i maxed stats in one man) and we exchanged like. probably over a thousand words to basically come to the conclusion that. Yeah Any Of Them Could Fit Into Any Of the Three Roles But The Vibes Change. and now u get this long response!!
I wont. force u to listen to the full ramblings and analysis abt it but i will say the like. default one? it feels like? 2 me? is miro/soldier, otter/poet, robo/king BUUT the most fun one to me is otter/soldier, robo/poet, miro/king. otter as soldier is sooo fun because he LOVES to be a villain ESPECIALLY to a visiting team ("he will tear your city down"!!!) and he's. its so fun that the goalie is the soldier. like he is more of a soldier than jason "americas sweetheart" robertson oddly enough despite the goalie/skater roles of it all. and also the way he talks abt the game and winning zoe pointed out is very . lol. soldier esque bc it doesnt matter how all you have to do is win.
robo as poet is so funny bc his ass is NOTTT fighting like he just kinda mumbles words at the general direction of a scrum. pacifist poet boy (: also zoe pointed out that he loves to use big words to feel smart and is very deliberate abt how he talks to the media which we've been told many times is Not how he normally talks so!!
miro as king because i need to sacrifice him and make him suffer SORRRYYY his ass is getting put in situations. the brow laid in thorn being a reference to jesus before being crucified LIKEEEE. you know how i feel. also smthn smthn top 3 draft pick narratives abt being Chosen and an Heir or whatever.. and they all have similar levels of cocky and calm but i feel like miro is like. the most Freak Calm. like his family thinks its weird how emotionally stable he apparently is. which feels noble!!! he makes noble sacrifices!!!!

thinking about that one post that's like. love it when voice actors are best i known for this goofy character and this really dark and broody character. this one
thinking about it bc Joey D'Auria has this portfolio of incredibly goofy characters with his best known role being Bozo the Clown from the 90s. he was puss in boots in that one 2011 cartoon no one talks about. this same man, of all VAs, was cast as this ornery veteran with a tragic and compelling story in Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time.
it's a testament to his range and skill, but i just find it so interesting. looking up his other reels and hearing him talk like a normal guy in a sitcom, versus the gruff persona he captures as Alister Azimuth.
there's little information this guy otherwise. his portfolio is available online but not much otherwise. nothing else is my business, he's a just a normal guy outside of his job.
anyway since i'm replaying ACiT again, and i like azimuth and the game a perfectly normal amount, i'm extremely tempted to write the guy a letter to let him know the positive impact his work had on the game and how much it means to me.

His speech was like a crack in the world. When he spoke, it was true, and I felt I had seen not only into him but into other people, into myself.

Picard saying "When one has been angry for a very long time, one gets used to it. And it becomes comfortable, like old leather. And finally it becomes so familiar that one can’t ever remember feeling any other way." feels more relevant all the time.
Star Trek makes me soooo crazy cuz you got Picard saying things like "It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose."
And Data saying things like "I would gladly risk feeling bad at times, if it also meant that I could taste my dessert."
And Bashir saying things like “You can't go through life trying to avoid getting a broken heart. If you do, it'll break from loneliness anyway."
And Odo sayings things like "It has been my observation that one of the prices of giving people freedom of choice is that sometimes they make the wrong choice."
And I’m just supposed to be normal about it???

"This isn't a game," Brooks said, drawing her wings close. "Ah, but in a way, it is." Itzamna hiked his bushy brows. "All stories are games of great proportion. And, unfortunately for us, Zotz and Ixkik’ are winning." He took a few more steps. "You must think like them. Be like them." "We will never be like them," I ground out. Itzamna drew closer. "There isn't a lot of space between the hero and the villain," he said. "The villain thinks he or she is the hero of their own tale."
These are some really insightful lines, honestly. And I think Itzamna is right on the money. At least about most villains. Almost nobody sets out to do evil. Everyone has some motivation for their sins and crimes. Even the worst people might think they're heroic. And that's the irony of it all. I mean...even the worst, most bigoted people can think they're heroes. And that's just a real world example. In fiction, you have so many good examples of villains who think they're heroes. You can be evil but think you're good. It happens in fiction and in the real world all the time.

Objectifying  others—essentially ceasing to regard them as significant, unique, or deserving of consideration—can lead to a deterioration of your own self-image. You come to the realization that you are not special either. You too may not be a "solid," "important" "person." Instead, you are merely a transient phenomenon—a series of causes and effects—similar to clouds, trees, or even a barking dog.
Initially, this acknowledgment can feel unsettling and frightening. The ego reacts defensively, insisting:
"But what about me? My aspirations? My individuality?!"
If you persist in this reflection, you may experience a dissolution of self-importance.
Then comes the profound insight:
Without the weighty obligation to safeguard "yourself,"
Without the necessity to define your worth through others,
What remains is simply observing, existing, and flowing.
This state aligns with what many Zen masters refer to as "no-self" (anatta in Buddhism).
There is no actor; there is only action.
There is no thinker; there is just thought.
There is no lover; there is only love.
