Leola’s last wish
Season 6 spoilers!!!!!
Ok so in season 5 episode 2 when Rayla and callum are talking under the stars, rayla says that the south star is named leola’s last wish, but she doesn’t know why it’s named that or who Leola is. And we now know that Leola is arravos’s daughter, who bc she gave magic to humans had to die, and was turned into a star (bc she’s a startouch elf). And startoch elves can be reborn when the stars align again, so maybe (and this is just a theory) she gets reborn again because chaos has stopped the world or something??
But also the star is named her last wish, so what if before she died, she wished for something (like to be with her dad or maybe help humans bc she might of given humans magic) and became the brightest star in the sky for her dad to be able to see/follow her, or to help people or something else???
Also this would explain why Leola was mentioned in s5 because there was no explanation of leola in s5 just that one bit (and just rlly good foreshadowing to s6 and maybe s7 if i’m right)
idk this is just a theory but it would be cool to see her again

~DiScUsSiOn TiMe!~
I know how people are voicing speculation and concepts and stuff about how Leola might come back because of how Startouch Elves are "immortal beings of the cosmos" and just, like, exploded.
Like, IF she did come back, would she fall out of the sky like a shooting star and her star, the brightest star in the sky, "Leola's Last Wish" would just... disappear? 'Cause that'd be a catastrophe for navigation. Or would she just appear/spawn like... BAM! Would Aaravos sense if she came back or be entirely ignorant to it?
On the topic of Aaravos, if Startouch Elves DO come back, why wouldn't he want to join her in the stars so that they could rejoin the world together? Why wouldn't he spare himself having to mourn his literal CHILD? Because he doesn't want her to be forgotten? Because he wants to AVENGE her? He could do that even if he came back with her, so I don't know.
Back to her coming back, wouldn't it be funny if she just-so-happened to come back, say, near The Silvergrove. And Ethari, who had been going to pick moonberries or something, just-so-happened to find her?
So, we have a lost little Startouch Elf and a depressed Moonshadow elf who thinks his husband is dead and all he knows about his daughter in all but blood is that she's alive (because of the lotus). Obviously, he'd take her in, he's ETHARI.
Would he tell the rest of the village or hide her away? That, I don't have an answer to.
If he told the village, I doubt they would do anything besides kill her or something. I mean, look what they did to Rayla. They GHOSTED (a fate worse than death to them, I'm sure) a fifteen year old with no clear evidence besides the fact that she was the only one alive from a practically SUICIDAL mission (it definitely goes deeper than that and I might make a post about it, but don't count on it). I wouldn't call people like that the voice of reason.
So, it'd probably be better if he didn't tell them and instead hid her away.
However long he takes care of her, I'm sure they talk and grow closer. Leola comes to see him as at least a bit like her father after getting over her panic of appearing in an unknown place, which was definitely by no means terrifying.
And Ethari? He has something to live for again. A person to take care of. And maybe Leola reminds him a bit of little Rayla (minus all the sharp bits).
Meanwhile? If Aaravos CAN sense Leola, then let's say he can also sense where she is. After finding out his little girl, the whole reason he's doing all of this is alive, I'm sure he drops everything and goes after her (of course, Claudia and Terry will go to).
Once he gets there, since he's a Startouch Elf, and one of the "Great/First Ones", he'll easily get past the illusion shielding The Silvergrove.
With Claudia, he probably razes down The Silvergrove, kills some elves until he finds her. When he does find her? He sees a Moonshadow Elf standing over/shielding her. I doubt that goes over well. To Claudia, it'll probably look like the Moonshadow Elves kidnapped her, so she'll 100% be on Aaravos's side.
Anyways, since Claudia is a dark mage what if she puts them all into a coma or sleeping trance, or turns them to stone, or they just all evacuate and no one knows what happened to them, or something else entirely?
Staying true to the "turning your enemies to stone" thing, after Aaravos gets Leola, wouldn't it be cool if Claudia turned all the elves to stone like her father did to Avizandum? And Ethari, while turning to stone, brings a hand to the sky and casts a spell that's like a flashbang that brings attention, and promptly turns to stone completely while a singular tear falls from his eye (Avizandum parallels, anyone?).
After that, they leave to continue the plan (no matter how much Leola pleads for them not to and tries to stop them even though she doesn't really know what's going on because that's her DAD).
Then, when Rayla and Runaan are close to The Silvergrove to tell Ethari that Runaan is alive (which they won't get the chance to do now), they see the words "Silvergrove has fallen" blazed into the ground (because Aaravos is dramatic) and are both horrified. Then they get there and see Ethari's statue (and just AAAAAGGHHHH). I need to see their faces and how they'd react to that.
They both think in their own ways. Rayla probably blames herself (she just lost one of the two parental figures she has left after saying goodbye to the other two and most likely thinks this happened because Aaravos and Claudia were trying to get at her (maybe Runaan even blames her a little, if subconsciously).
Runaan on the other hand? It's terrifying for him. HE'S the assassin, Ethari knew when he married him that Runaan would probably die on a mission. But Runaan? It's HIS job to be in danger. ETHARI'S supposed to be SAFE in The Silvergrove. Runaan's not prepared to lose Ethari because he always knew/thought that he'd be the first to die. He's not prepared to live in a world without him (so now he's going through the grief of his partner dying, the exact same thing Ethari was/is, but Ethari had been prepared for it (not that it made it hurt any less)).
Obviously, they're frustrated because they can't do anything right now because of Aaravos and swear to find something to free him and everyone else afterwards (maybe even get so angry that they try to do/do something rash like go after Aaravos?).
And that isn't even going into how Terry feels when Aaravos and his girlfriend raze a whole VILLAGE to the ground and turn EVERY ELF into stone, including the CHILDREN. That's bound to make him think over some things and which side he should really be on.
Or, what if we move onto a new concept. Everything still happens like this, except Leola's not in it. Like, Aaravos burned down Katolis, which was Callum and Ezran's home, so what if he tries to burn down The Silvergrove since it's Rayla's home (even if it's not really anymore, she'd still be devastated). I doubt he knows that she comes from specifically The Silvergrove, but he's Aaravos, so I'm sure he'd find out easily, adding the fact that he has a dark mage on his side? Piece of cake (now I want cake, specifically chocolate).
Anyway, I know this definitely won't happen in season 7, but, it IS a cool concept, at least to me (and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!).

What's been mentioned for the Dragon Prince Season 6: Book Stars so far...
Having listened and read a bunch of interviews, here's my collected notes (Updated for October 2023);
No current release date, but confirmed 9 episodes, same as previous seasons.
Seasons Four though Seven are all the Mystery of Aaravos arc.
While there's not going to be any real time skip between S5 and S6, there will be a small one within S6. Update - there's a few days time skip between S5 and S6.
Season 6 will be more mature to the point the age rating is increasing. It will also go into deeper emotional stuff - "fans should enjoy the breather before being emotionally wrecked by the next book."
(Most of) Episode 1 of season 6 was shown at NYCC 2023 panel. Notes on summaries people have posted here.
New characters to be introduced;
Astrid - voiced by Boone Williams - Female Celestial Skywing elf. She's mysterious and there's 'something cool' about her design.
Character based off Moonberry Surprise.
A new Startouch elf. Possibly the Merciful One (they/them) from the Sea of the Castout statues.
Tumblr media
Upcoming for main characters;
Callum - every time you do dark magic, it becomes harder to come back from it. Info on Callum birth-father. (Callum and learning Moon Arcanum - Giehl's opinion is doesn't want Callum treading on Rayla's thematic territory and stealing her thunder). Rayllum note - how would Callum using dark magic affect the trust and friendship they've been building up?
Rayla - On the curse coins - too spoilery, so they won't answer questions related to that. On Rayllum note. Would Rayla do anything for Callum? And what would Callum call upon her to do if that was the case? Questions getting asked next season, just to make you suffer.
Callum, Rayla and Stella confirmed visiting the Starscraper.
Tumblr media
Ezran - sticking to his ideals and pacifism will be tested. Rough and tough decision(s).
At some point Ezran and Callum will visit some 'weird' ruins.
Soren - has had lighter seasons so far, but is about to face darker questions. There is trauma that the writers haven't told anyone about that will come to light at some point. Soren is getting an opportunity to confront Viren about what happened at the Storm Spire (they did meet up in S4E7, which is covered in the short story Strangers, but writers felt it lacked the satisfaction needed, as neither really was in the headspace to talk), but uncertain if this is just a therapy thing or if Viren lives.
There's going to be a funny Soren and Corvus story later on.
Claudia - S5 she was under a lot of pressure, and it's not easing up. How will Claudia be impacted by Viren's decision - further into darkness or pulled back into the light? Claudia being willing to risk life and limb for her goal(s) - and then actually paying the cost of a limb - what does that mean for her and Terry?
Karim - is about to get in over his head. He doesn't realise the kind of alliances he's making.
Amaya and Janai don't get enough love in these interviews. 😢
Zym - Goes with Soren to find Zubeia. Spoiler indicates Zym has a heart to heart with her
Characters we'll be seeing more of;
Aaravos - there's a lot more of him coming in S6.
Kim'dael - 'big plans' that even go beyond the show, though specifically refused to answer if she'll met Rayla again (they met first time in Bloodmoon Huntress graphic novel).
More with the pirates and Scumport (however, Finnegrin while not confirmed dead, won't make a reappearance in S6/7). Scumport set up a bunch of stuff for going into season 6.
Kpp'Ar - confirmed there'll be more stuff about him in both S6 and S7.
Mukho - the mushroom mage, Earthblood elf who's a world expert mycologist.
More shadowpaw content.
Possibly Ellis and Ava briefly, but could be S7.
Lore -
The lore about Stars primal and Startouch elves and other mythology will be explored. How you kill a Startouch elf will be answered - including more info on Laurelion (mentioned in the Death of an Immortal poem).
(Going by how the graphic novels releases are generally introducing things that are mentioned in the next season, Puzzle House's emphasize on unicorns, and how there is a big bit of unicorn lore mentioned in the novels, is a good hint that this unicorn lore is getting explained in show too. But, just to clarify, it's not confirmed this is happening - however, it is a impactful bit of backstory and there's only 2 seasons left).
Most likely information about how Primal Stones are made - specifically how a storm was trapped from the top of Mount Kalik to create the Primal Stone Callum smashed. Ehasz mentioned that something brought up in the second episode will be expanded on in S6, and the info about the Sky Primal Stone is the only info that hasn't been addressed elsewhere from E2 that I could pick out.
More lore about golems (as in the rock guardians and Elmer)
Other notes;
Season 6 will have an explosive start.
Questions raised by Ehasz;
Was the dragang moving Aaravos's prison smart or would it have been safer to have left it? It's something they'll grapple with right away.
Is Aaravos being honest with Viren about what's going to happen? (I'm wording it as being honest rather than saying is he lying, as Aaravos's thing is manipulative truths and misdirections etc, rather than outright lies).
No context: 🔥 (Can't help looking at the use of explosive start by the NYCC notification)
There's stuff in Season 2 that will get explained in Season 6 - while they're not exactly clues, there will be referencing from S2.
Keep an eye on changes in the openers - they're continuing the hints - like when they swapped out Viren with Callum to let you know Callum and dark magic/Aaravos is going to be in the episode.
Season 7 will be Book 7: Dark.
The next graphic novel will be about "family and building trust." Update: Title Dreamer's Nightmare
Tumblr media
Can young Ezran and Callum quell the brewing storm in the quiet town of Noct, or have bad dreams come to haunt for good?
Giehl says this story has Ezran as the lead character and the artist said they enjoyed doing the many animals.
There were hints dropped at NYCC 2023 that there may be other projects based on the Dragon Prince world, but they'll come under a different name. TDP will only be the 7 seasons. (Most hints I've seen suggest they may be working towards an Orphan Queen film/series, but it could also be a continuation).

The Dragon Prince Season 6 episode 9 live reaction, spoilers under the cut
I get the feeling that Aaravos is gonna be freed in this episode so that season 7 can be about defeating him for good
The sheer irony of the most evil being in the TDP universe needing to be summoned with love sure is something
AARAVOS LORE DROP?
HE HAD A DAUGHTER????
That’s who that startouched elf was who was comforting him at the beginning of the season when he was crying, maybe
Oh Rayla has to go to the plane between life and death to revive the coin’d people
Who will she choose?
Why is runaan’s spirit feral?
Oh the key of Aaravos goes into a hole in a book. I don’t think it has anything to do with the pearl, actually
Oh shit Leola got kidnapped by presumably Sol Regem and another Startouched elf
WHAT THE FUCK WHY DID THE STARTOUCHED COUNCIL JUST SENTENCE A CHILD TO DEATH
Is the concept humans having magic really that bad? I don’t think it’s kill a child over it bad
I can’t tell if Rayla chose not to bring her parents back or if they chose to die instead of coming back themselves. Regardless, it’s probably because Runaan would be alone if he didn’t come back.
Update the elf from the beginning of the season comforting Aaravos was one of the ones who fUCKING SENTENCED A CHILD TO DEATH AND WENT THROUGH WITH IT
No because the audacity of this bitch “it’s okay because she was loved :)” YOU FUCKING KILLED HER
So maybe Aaravos was kind of right, actually. He just went about his revenge wrong.
Anyways now Rayla has to get Runaan to stop being fucking insane so she can bring him back.
Terry once again hitting us with the common sense. He’s right, Aaravos isn’t doing anything out of love anymore, whatever his plan is is a plan for revenge
Aaaand Claudia still does it anyway
Weird how the spell to free Aaravos is the same one to get Runaan out of the coin
Runaan’s one worked!! He’s free!!
Ah shit Callum’s noticed that katolis is on fucking fire
Oh cool Amaya and Janai redid their wedding
Aaand Ezran received the news that katolis is burnt during said wedding redo
Ah fuck Aaravos is back
WHY IS HE FUCKING MASSIVE WHAT
It was at this moment that Terry knew he should’ve dumped Claudia ages ago
aaand of course even after a full season of live reactions my suggested tags are still the Magnus Protocol

I love Ateris!! His design is so cool, maybe you can share with us some headcanon you have about him and queen feraada?? 🥰🥰
Thank you so much aaa <33 I do have plenty of those! I realize I actually don't talk about the details much despite the story being completely fleshed out, I just post art of them sometimes jfkldgj. To make up for it, I wrote down quite a few!! :D
Tumblr media
Faris headcanons hooray!!
When they first met, Ateris absolutely STANK omg... like wandering around in Evenere did not do him any favours and his clothes were already old and tattered and who knows when bro had bathed last. He was just kind of vibing. One of the first things she did when she took him back was get him a bath and change of clothes LMAO. Once they were friends, she later ends up commissioning someone to tailor him a new set of clothing, which is his main outfit in his redesign! Besides decorating him with obvious Evenerean fabrics, she intentionally had the hair accessory referenced off of her own crown as an extension of her authority (essentially telling her militia to back off / he is not a threat).
Early on in their friendship, Ateris protected her from an assassination attempt since he happened to be with her at the time and their friendship was a secret among a select few, so the assassin never had intel for such an anomaly. He realizes that he actually would prefer that this human does not die, so he swore he'd accompany her for her lifetime (not a big deal for him, since he's essentially immortal, but in hindsight she found it quite romantic LOL). Fareeda is a beloved and kind queen, so who would do such a thing? This is an overarching plot in their relationship as they try to uncover the would-be usurper and discover the moles among her queensguard, and it gets covered a little bit in my OCs main story (so it will be included in my upcoming webcomic). She does end up getting tutored by someone else in improving her self-defense (personally I headcanon that she was at least somewhat trained with weapons already simply due to Evenere's environment seemingly almost requiring self-defense, but she wouldn't be as familiar with assassin's dirty tricks). At times Ateris would help by acting as a would-be assassin since he's skilled with blades, though he never uses his magic against her. Obviously that training was not in preparation for an unrelated smoky assassin though oops
She introduced him to a lot of Evenere's culture, from their foods to the arts and their way of life in their isolated kingdom. He especially liked the food part! There's a little twinkle in his eye anytime a meal is served.
Because of the above though, he ended up learning to enjoy the downtime of reading with a snack. He still finds some of the fiction novels strange though. Fareeda loaned him her favourite book to read while he was overseas in Xadia (after her death, he could never bring himself to read the final chapter).
Besides some of Fareeda's closest queensguard learning of him after the earlier assassination attempt, Ateris' existence is largely unknown in Evenere and he keeps to himself. There were rumours that Fareeda had a possibly elven friend, but most assume it's unfounded (I headcanon that Evenere is more lax with elves due to their isolation (low influence from other kingdoms), so they typically don't actually care beyond curiosity. Though it being a Startouch elf is a well-kept secret).
She fell first, he fell harder. They have a bit of a will they, won't they relationship that ends up being unfulfilled due to events in canon, but his time with her still influences him greatly once they're apart.
While she just came to love him over time, there is actually a specific moment that Fareeda realized that she had fallen in love with him, which I will eventually illustrate <3
Ateris is always very gentle with her and gives affectionate gestures, but he doesn't really understand that he does these because he has romantic interest in her, since he's never fallen in love before (and for reasons in the past, it used to be impossible for him). Much like Fareeda having a moment where she knew she really loved him, there is a moment Ateris realizes what his feelings for her were as well, though it was far too late.
Fareeda knows most of Ateris' personal backstory, even if she doesn't quite understand all of it, especially about his "former self".
Over a couple centuries, Ateris amassed quite a few antiques. Fareeda just so happens to love trinkets and baubles, so many of them finally found a home with her. Notably Mira's amulet was given to her, though whether or not it helped her the way it did in the animatic depends on the timeline (though personally if they never do anything in canon that makes the animatic's story impossible, I might make the animatic's story part of my canon timeline).
Fareeda loves the Evenerean wildlife in all its terrors and wonders, even if some are very unapproachable in which she will appreciate them from a respectable distance. Ateris happens to be able to connect with quite a few of them (especially if they are connected to the Earth arcanum). This is great for Fareeda because he soothes critters and she gets to hang out with them win/win
When Ateris had to leave her side to go to Xadia for unfinished business, she gives him an heirloom of hers, a dragonfly necklace that he may return to her once his journey ends. It ends up being his most treasured belonging.
Since I don't know how long Fareeda has been queen or her exact age, I keep the exact year they met a bit vague (I like to think they would've met in her earlier years as queen, but if she became queen as a child then uhhhh no LMAO). However, they've spent a long time together. Unfortunately, though they were close to finally saying "I love you", their time was ultimately cut short.

Been thinking about it partially as I come closer to it in fanon S6 / divergences where what I'm writing (in prose with zero constraints) vs what I think the show is actually more likely to do (such as in this case) with the Celestial elves because like
If we look at it just from a storytelling standpoint, there's a few things we want to take into consideration.
Why Skywing elves?
Despite being an aspiring and then full fledged Sky mage for most of the series (5 seasons) as his defining... career trait? with Ocean only added at the end, Callum's attachment to the Sky arcanum is incredibly important from a thematic standpoint. I talked about this in more detail in terms of how TDP writes from theme to begin with, but it would not surprise me if a lot of the series fell into place after decisions were made regarding "mage boy has Sky-Freedom powers" and "big endgame big bad is Stars and Destiny embodied," i.e. like what kind of dragon Zym would be in order for Callum to have a reason to sacrifice his primal stone, why have Callum learn Sky magic first, etc etc.
The Celestial Elves, presumably, could've been any group of elves. We know from Tales of Xadia that Sunfire elves had a chant about warding off dangerous Star dragons from the Great Orb, and that Karim-Pharos are poised to be future pawns, so there is a decent link there. It also could've been cool if the Celestial elves had had elves from all over, showing both intergroup workings and that the Stars were bringing them together in some manner.
If Sky and Skywing elves by thematic extension represent Freedom, then it makes sense for these to be Skywing elves who have perhaps forsaken notions of freedom for ideas of pre-determinism or destiny, i.e. our circumstances beset all of our choices, or that fate/destiny is real and unchangeable. To have the same arcanum and similar abilities as Callum, but to already be warped to Aaravos' will / thematic graces of destiny and fate - to amplify what he's scared of and to accentuate what he might become (at least in terms of what he's scared to become).
On that note, I think it makes sense for them
To be Antagonists
Partially this is because of precedent. Most elves, when in groups, have been more antagonistic with one or two rising to the forefront to be allies. We see this in arc 1 with Moonshadow and Sunfire elves, with the majority being antagonists especially at first (the assassins, the Sunfire soldiers) with Rayla, Lujanne, and eventually Janai being allies / exceptions - even if the Sunfire elves as a whole quickly switch to being allies as of 3x08/09. We see this again in S4 with the Drakewood Earthblood elves being mostly antagonists, Terry as more of a grey area, and only N'than (and possibly Mukho the Mushroom mage?) being downright allies. This would mean that Astrid and maybe another Startouch elf might be more sy
Plot / Misc Reasons
Of course, the biggest reason for the Celestial elves to exist is to, presumably, give exposition regarding Startouch elves to the main characters and to extradite subsequent views / philosophy about Star magic and the arcanum (arcana?). If they are loyal to Aaravos, they would likely provide a perspective on Startouch elves different than one Callum might be coming in with and give more credence / context to Claudia's assertions of Aaravos as well, given that she's the one character currently with a positive view of him. It also doesn't seem they can entirely be good guys given their 1) isolationist nature and 2) having not one but two super OP objects that the protagonists definitely need. While they may not end up being villains, I think we can somewhat safely assume they will initially be obstacles, if only in giving tests (of love) like another certain Startouch elf...

The Dragon Prince's "Mercy" Motif
TDP Fam, this is so fascinating.
I made this post about the connection between two characters' names. Nothing is coincidental in this show. The creators have things mapped out for future seasons.
🚨Spoilers below! 🚨
We know this arc is called The Mystery of Aaravos, and so far - in the show, anyway - he does appear more malevolent than benevolent, using characters as pawns (Viren, Callum, Claudia) to achieve his means (freedom). He was one of the Great Ones, but he lost privilege and title, becoming known as The Fallen Star. It was revealed that he's been behind wars, manipulating leaders for centuries, and so he was locked away because he was too dangerous. (If you're reading this, you've seen the show and know all of this.)
Now...E1S6 (which was previewed at NYCC) opens with a conversation between him and another Startouch Elf. He's distraught - it's the first time we've ever seen Aaravos showing such incredibly desperate emotions. (As I've mentioned, he's being painted as a sympathetic character.)
First, you wanna make a bet these statues depict the very scene featured in S1E6?
Tumblr media
It's too perfect.
Now, this elf is called The Merciful One. As I pointed out in my other post, there is another character that is associated with mercy. You guessed it:
Tumblr media
Her story is literally called The Queen's Mercy and one of the many titles bestowed upon her (if you read the story) is Queen Aditi, the Merciful. (I've already done the math in this post here.)
Now, why is this so fascinating?
Mercy, by definition, is compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm. (Thanks dictionary.com.) But as we know from reading The Queen's Mercy, Aditi isn't merciful at all. She's cunning. Kim'dael goes to Aditi seeking sanctuary. What does she get in return? A Mercy Debt.
Tumblr media
Could this be considered merciful? I mean...she did not banish or harm Kim'dael. But she's trapped eternally, and literally owes her life. Kim'dael is a villainous character, no doubt - but that is not compassion or forgiveness. (Whether or not she deserves it is a different conversation.)
Now let's go back to Aaravos and the Merciful One, shall we?
If you look the images, Aaravos is clearly distraught, and yet the Merciful One appears calm, cool, collected. We can assume he's...well, granting mercy.
By what? Imprisoning Aaravos? This could very well be the moment he is imprisoned.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But is it true compassion? Is it true forgiveness? Or is it, "I'm granting you something in my power because - even though it seems wrong to you - it's for the greater good." I could see Startouch Elf philosophy being cold and factual, distant and matter-of-fact - leaving no room for matters of the heart or emotions. (Doesn't this elf reference that Aaravos is in this position because of love [and I suspect has something to do with Leola]? If someone can get me their exact quote, that would be fantastic.)
This opens up a really interesting conversation regarding the term 'mercy' - because what I think is happening here is that there are two characters in power (The Merciful One and Queen Aditi) who are technically granting 'mercy' (although I am only hypothesizing based on the new Startouch Elf's name), and yet it is not at all merciful to the character. It's almost as if they're both saying, "Yeah, this sucks for you right now, but it's going to be better off for everyone else in the end." Kim'dael is 'imprisoned' by the Mercy Debt. Aaravos is literally imprisoned.
I mean, Kim'dael is in the same position as Aaravos' statue in the Sea of the Castout.
Tumblr media
I don't think this is a coincidence. I think both of these things will come back to bite our beloved Dragang. They are the ones who have to deal with the consequences, after all.
Did they deserve this treatment? For Kim'dael - I'm leaning towards yes, she is clearly a villain and has done horrific things.
And...we know that Aaravos has something to do with Aditi's disappearance.
But did Aaravos deserve this - imprisonment?
Now that is yet to be seen. And I have a feeling S6 will leave us all questions more than answers.

United (AaravosxOC)
Spilers for the end of Season 6 below, don't read if you haven't seen it yet.
Also, expect mistakes, I am writing this because my muse has been inspired, so it's going to be rough, and I'm happy to just get it out for others to enjoy!
DISCLAIMER: This drabble is not canon to my story as of yet. Until season 7 is released, I will not be making plans for my actual story, this is just an idea I had floating in my head after watching the last episode.
Tumblr media
After everything that had happened, every drop of blood shed, every tear, every nightmare... It was finally happening.
Nymera stood between Claudia and Terry at the altar of Harrow's grave, surrounded by the bones of the Archdragon Sol Regem, and the makeshift grave for Viren. Everything she needed to release Aaravos was strewn out in front of her, and her heart pounded against her ribs as she prepared to cast the most important spell of her life.
Claudia's hand rested on her shoulder, and she looked over to see the younger woman looking up at her with a smile of affirmation. They shared a nod, and she looked over at Terry who reluctantly averted his gaze.
No matter, soon someone very important would be given a new lease on life, and having heard his backstory, his motivations, she understood why he did what he did to get to this point. If she had lost the one light in her life, as he had, she may have fallen to darkness long before she reached this graveyard.
With a deep breath, the mute woman stepped forward and raised her hands. While she couldn't speak her incantations, something that'd likely lead to the end of her Dark Magic career... Viren had done her a kindness and developed a spell to give her the power to sign her spells rather than speak them. However, with his death, her power fell with him, but his daughter was a genius for magic, and was quick to recast the spell and give her the power needed to see her final mission to its end.
'Aaravos...' She thought, closing her eyes as she felt the Dark Magic flow through her fingers, up her arm and into her eyes which opened and glowed a dangerous purple. 'You've waited for me for long enough... If its true that the spell must be cast with love... Then take mine, every little moment, every smile, every conversation, take it all...! Because I love you, and I can't wait to see you!"
With tears filling her eyes, she signed the words to the spell as the objects surrounding the pearl levitated into the air, each movement of her hand was filled with conviction and power, as if shouting without words. She closed her eyes as the objects spun into the air around the Quasar Diamond, and finally she finished the final motions and watched as the objects merged together to create a light so bright, the glow in her eyes vanished, leaving nothing but inky blackness as she closed her eyes to shield them.
A moment passed until the light faded enough for all three people to lower their hands and open their eyes to reveal the form of an elf, a white silhouette before them. Nymera's welling tears finally spilled over, and she stepped forward just as the stardust disappeared and Aaravos hovered a few feet in the air before her, in the flesh.
The Startouch elf inhaled suddenly as he opened his eyes, then dropped to his knees on the ground as he let the air fill his lungs from the outside world for the first time in three centuries. "Stone..." He spoke up, after a moment to get his bearings. His blank expression twisting into a smile as he clenched his fist against the dusty bricks beneath him. "The cool night air..." He lifted his head and closed his eyes as the wind whipped up around him, 'causing his majestic white hair to flutter around his starlit features.
Nymera stood there with a hand against her chest, choking back silent sobs as he slowly got to his feet and lowered his head enough to face her directly. Slowly, he opened his eyes and his smile twisted into a pleased smirk. "And you... How long I have waited to see you in the flesh."
The young hybrid's lips curled up into a happy smile, and she wiped her eyes with the palms of her hand as she took a tentative step towards him, mirrored by his own. 'You're free... You're here.' She signed, watching as he took another step, then another.
"Yes." He confirmed, his pace quickening as he watched her take another tentative step. Perhaps she was still questioning his solid form? "And it's all thanks to you!"
Without giving her a chance to say anything else, he dove forward and wrapped his arms around her waist. He scooped her up while her expression screamed surprise when she couldn't, laughing as he spun her around and allowed himself to feel the arms; the form of another against his own. Oh, she was warm, soft, and ever so light.
It was wonderful!
Nymera's tears only intensified as she was lowered into an embrace, one she returned with as much force as she could muster, relishing in his warm and strong hold on her. His face was buried in her shoulder, while her's nestled in his pristine hair, both basking in the knowledge that they'd achieved what they'd long planned to be a reunion.
"Nymph, you have proven far more valuable than any vessel I could have chosen..." Aaravos told her, muffled by her clothing as he opened his eyes halfway, not caring that others could see him. "And it is a pleasure to finally see you face to face, rather than behind that dusty old mirror."
She tightened her grip, affirming his words, as she nodded against his locks, soaking them with her happy tears. He was her best friend, the only person to accept her for who she was, rather than what she was by blood.
"This spell is only possible with love, my little Nymph." Aaravos said, pulling away to look her in the eyes as he brushed her fringe away from her corrupted eye, allowing him to relish the vibrant hue of her fuschia eyes. "Tell me, what motivated you to complete the spell?"
Nymera's cheeks turned pink, as she raised her hands to sign her response, only to hesitate and lower them along with her gaze. While she knew the answer, deep down the still feared rejection, and if she were to tell him, and he didn't feel the same... It would shatter what little heart she had left to love.
But Aaravos wasn't a fool, he saw right through her, even now.
Aaravos stared down at her, then smirked as he silently lifted her chin with the side of his index finger, moving her gaze to meet his, before he leaned down and brushed his lips briefly against hers. The mute mage's eyes widened in surprise, and she stood there frozen for a moment, while her beloved elf pulled away and flashed her a grin. "Sometimes words aren't necessary for a confession, my starlight~."
Nymera's form tensed as she started breathing heavily, and her lip trembled. Tears spilled harder down her cheeks, and she let out a silent sob before she tackled him in another hug, comforted by his soft laughter as he embraced her once again.
In the background, Terry was looking away, his eyes filled with tears as well, while Claudia sniffled with a smile, wiping her eyes as she basked in the knowledge that they had succeeded in their mission.
The former High Mage finally pulled away enough to meet Aaravos' gaze, but as she went to remove her hands to sign her love for him, he gently grasped them in his own. "No" He said gently, letting go to cup her cheeks. "There's no need for words..."
And with that, he pressed his lips against her own with a firm passion, which she reciprocated with every cell in her being, every speck of love she had held onto for so, so long.
Yes, they had a job to do, now that the Startouch giant had been released, but at that moment, the only thing that mattered was this moment, and Aaravos could only think of one thing as he pulled away to bask in her smile.
'Leola would have loved to meet you.'
Tumblr media
A/N: Thanks for reading! I want to note that in my headcanon, Aaravos can become human-sized at will, which is why he was able to live among them with Leola. As a result, he chooses to appear human-sized to Nymera, fully intending to lock lips with her.
I hope you enjoyed my drabble! I had a blast writing it!

Hey I think you are cool and pretty knowledgeable in this area so I'd like to share a theory(?) I have with you. Do correct me if I get anything obviously wrong I have only been in the Fandom since February or May and there may be context I am missing 😅.
What if the Star described in Ripples was not Aaravos but Leola. The calamity is said to have happened after humans were given primal magic, not dark magic. Also:
"The sky opened its maw and spat from its black jaws a tiny star. Small as it was, it gleamed with all the searing brilliance of a diamond—brighter and more beautiful than anything the humans had ever beheld."
Aaravos is not "tiny" or "small". It would be odd for him to describe himself that way. The only Startouch elf that we know of that could be described as small would be Leola.
Idk if I am making any sense sorry lmao. Anyway. Have a good day!!
Hi there! Thank you :)) I’m honored that you think that!
Anyway, about the theory. It’s intriguing! Especially the tiny star connection to Leola, the smallest startouch elf we know of at the moment:
However— “The calamity is said to have happened after humans were given primal magic, not dark magic.” This, my dear anon, is —in my speculative view—exactly why it can’t be Leola. Leola the unicorn gave humanity primal magic. Leola the startouch elf was pictured with a star, her last wish, and last wish being pretty grim, I interpret it as the death of her, or her form as a startouch elf at least. So if primal magic had already been gifted to humanity by the time of this fallen star, Leola had likely already fallen, ruling her out.
However! This is all my view. There are a lot of different takes on Leola, the falling star, and Leola’s relationship/connection with Aaravos, and I would encourage checking those out! I’d link them but it’s been a second. They’re probably under the tdp Leola tag or with their friends
There is the possibility Leola was 1. Unicorn then 2. Startouch elf then 3. Star or some other combo, but it’s all wishy washy lore enough atm that nothing can really be ruled out, so I’m all for more theories!
So yeah, that’s my take! Thanks for asking!

S4 of the dragon prince was… a bit underwhelming. Especially since a majority was about something that apparently happened off screen during a time skip in a damn tie-in comic. Like. Bold of them to assume everyone watching is even aware of the comic. Let alone read it. They should’ve released a special episode that basically covered the events of the comic placed at the end of s3.
Like how The Sandman dropped Dream of a Thousand Cats/Calliope at the end of the current season. Plus Zubera really isn’t that interested in helping prevent the release of Aaravos. She sees some rocks and is like “oh no. I guess my work here is done” “but you didn’t do anything?” and abandons them to walk round the long way, when she could so easily destroy the rock pile. She’s a fucking dragon with lightning powers but I guess it’s; Who Would Win? A big Dragon Lady, or *pile of rock*. Rex Igneous took care of the rocks like it was nothing (and don’t give me Oh But He’s the Earth Arch-Dragon! Only he can move rocks! bc the guy shoots a yellow beam from his mouth sure but he brute forced it so no reason Zubera couldn’t.
And if anyone tries something sexist like Male Dragons are stronger than female dragons then congrats! You fail to appreciate that a dragon, especially an Arch Dragon, is a force of nature on legs and with a usually annoyed or tired disposition and have immense strength due to being a damned dragon. Also the Netflix image lies on how Rex looks. It depicts him (especially his face at least) as golden yellow, and he’s mostly brown.
Aaravos tho? That sexy elf stole the show in the one scene he was in like a Boss. Just possessed Callum, roasted literally everyone, then fucking Mic Dropped like the cool sexy bastard that StarTouch Elf is
Also why did we waste time with Callum find the Google Translate Book and deciphering the mirror runes if Zubera was literally just gonna monologue to us about it. It’d have been better if even with the book the runic script was a mystery. Adding to the fact the dragons used some kind of magic to erase mentions of him from history like when Viren tried researching Aaravos only for the words to blur and fade whenever he tried to look. And giving more validity for the dragon queen to tell us about it bc naturally she would know exactly what it was and did due to viren stealing it from Stormspire after slaying Avizandum/Thunder

I binge watched season 4 and now I have thoughts about dragon prince. Here is thought dump.
SPOILERS AHEAD
First off. Pit of despair. Princess bride much? Love that.
The “being” totally reminds of Gollum with the spindly limbs and loin cloth.
I think Soren is meant to befriend every dragon or dragon like creature possible.🐉
Definitely some How to train your dragon with the drake and Soren scene.
Terry is everything💚 And he invented silly putty. The fidget of champions 😜
Barius the baker invented chocolate?
I wonder if or when they will realize Stella is startouch primal. Or maybe the key glowing meant the translation or spell working. And the cube is important.
I like how Zym’s disguise resembled Ava from season 1 and 2
The purple gem on Viren’s staff is definitely that special rare star crystal and we will need it again. 🔮
Who is the main villain? Viren? Claudia? Aaravos?
Aaravos’s planning really was perfection. And boy can he multitask. Also. The real mystery of this season is where is the galaxy elf?
In a modern au Callum would definitely collect crystals and memorize zodiacs.
I really like the pretty sword women (Amaya and Janai) who are good at their jobs and deserve nice things. Janai basically has a lightsaber.
The flora and fauna in this show fascinate me. I want to go back and look at everything in detail🦇🍄🌿🦌. Just. The worldbuilding. It is so pretty😊
This is a beautiful fantasy show with silly antics and really cool art. And it got grittier and more real this season. Wow. Beautiful.

What are your thoughts about Acrobat!Callum?
You know, when the Art of the Dragon Prince first came out, I was pretty excited at the idea. Now that I’ve had several months to think it over, I think it might be a bit of a letdown, and lemme tell you why.
Across three seasons, Callum’s character arc hinged on the idea that he himself gets to choose what he becomes regardless of what people around him expect or think is possible. And when he gets a chance to do things in his own way, magic or otherwise, he not only improves but even excels at things he initially thought he was terrible at. There was always something exciting about watching him be a trailblazer and forging his own path forward.
So, with that in mind, it feels a little hollow if he just winds up following in the footsteps of Ibis or some generic Sky mage. Even if Callum were to master all six Primal Sources, it would be great if he doesn’t become just a younger, less experienced copy of Aaravos. Especially since we know he would lose any confrontation with the Startouch elf at that point.
Instead, what I’d like to see is Callum become someone unique. Rather than just being a mage and that’s it, I would love to see Callum become both a mage and a prince in equal measure, using magic to enhance his ability at princely skills and vice versa.
Take, for instance, battle tactics, which according to Callum, he’s always been terrible at. Yet with mage wings, he can scout from the skies, seeing the various mountain ranges, rivers, forests, passes, etc. Combine this literal birds-eye-view with his photographic memory, and Callum could figure out the best pathways to march troops through, excellent places to create an ambush, defensive positions, and the like. With his magic, it’s possible for Callum to become one of the best tacticians and strategists in Katolis.
Tumblr media
Likewise, his martial prowess would improve immeasurably. We’ve seen from Viren that mages can be quite versatile at using their staff as a melee weapon. We also know that Sky mages can enhance their movements, giving them superior speed and agility (hence where the acrobatics comes from). So, if Callum continues his martial training along with learning magic, he would probably wind up becoming a similar kind of fighter as his mother. Heck, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he even surpasses her, as his magic lets him push his abilities past what is humanly possible.
Tumblr media
All of this would be compounded even further with each Arcanum and form of magic that Callum would learn. By the end, he’d not only be an excellent mage, but one of the best princes of Katolis in generations.
I think this would make the most sense, story-wise. We know from Callum that in Katolis, princes are duty-bound to become warriors and commanders, and by the end of the third season, those obligations haven’t changed. I also think this is sliiiightly supported by Through the Moon—we see that Callum didn’t wind up staying in Xadia to study magic, or even decide to carry a book full of runes or a spellbook around like Claudia would. Instead, we see him return to being a prince in Katolis, perhaps a little wiser and with a lot more magic under his belt, but still committed to the path his stepfather had wanted for him.
So, bringing this all back to your question, I think Acrobat Callum would be cool, but I don’t see him joining a circus. I’d imagine he’d be more interested in using his Sky mage abilities to strengthen his status as a prince.

An Analysis of Callum’s Sketchbook: The Elves
Though I would love to go through page by page and comment on all of the adorable notes left my Callum throughout the book, we would be here all night! Instead, I decided to focus on one area in which we got a lot of new information: the elves.
All images are taken from @the-crimson shadow on Instagram.
First, let’s start with my favorite, the Tidebound Elves
TIDEBOUND
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have been itching for more information on Tidebound elves since day 1, and this book did not disappoint. First of all, I was hoping for blue/ aqua based skin, which we seem to have. And I adore the slick, spiky design which mimicked the plants of the ocean floor.
Of course, Rayla not knowing much about Tidebound Elves because of her fear of water made me chuckle. Still, Callum’s word descriptions give us a lot of good details.
They are flexirible, transformative, and flowing like the water. Their sleek, sharp design mímicos this as well. I also love the concept of their powers changing based on the depth of the water at hand, which makes a lot of sense, as well as the two long, slim feet which I imagine act as flippers. In a way, I sense a lot of similarities with dolphins— with the sonar awareness, and even some elements of the design.
EARTHBLOOD
Tumblr media
Callum planned the Earthblood elf disguise in advance! Oh that is adorable.
I’ll admit earth earth has always been my least favorite element, so Earthblood Elves have been the one I’m least interested in. Still, a lot of my ideas are confirmed here.
I imagined them to be tree like, stocky, and earthy, and the words used by Callum to describe them are exactly what I imagined! They’re personalities reflect the main components of earth: stubbornness, physical strength and endurance— a deep, grounding root. In this description the “medicinal” side of earth is captured as well— the earthen healers who work in herbs, and practice patience and balance. A lot of wonderful past elements and qualities associated with the earth seem to be captured here.
Also very interesting that the earth primal magic is strongest when you’re deep underground. This makes me wonder if it is in some ways the opposite to the sky primal.
STARTOUCH
Tumblr media
Okay, I lied a little when I said Tidebound was my favorite because we all know I love Aaravos— and I LOVE HOW STARTOUCH ELVES WERE DESCRIBED HERE.
As stated before. Star Magic is the most powerful there is because it is cosmic and astral. That is so cool. “Celestial magic”, it draws from the TIMELESS AND ENDLESS POWER OF THE COSMIC REALM. In other words, Startouch Elves possess an instant infinite source of power.
What’s interesting is that they are rare because they are only born once in generations, which seems to see nature’s way to maintain some semblance of a power balance. Because each individual is so powerful— to the extent they are almost god like— they are fewer in numbers.
The words used to describe them: timeless, destiny, wishes, reality- alternating— imply that we are dealing with cosmic levels of control and ability to manipulate the fabric of reality. They are God- like figures, the great creators spinning the rest of the world. Mysterious and far away also seem to be prevalent— their personalities reflecting the mysterious and distant nature of the stars themselves.
One thing I find interesting is truth. Startouch Elves have always struck me as very fae- like, and I think this applies to an inability to lie. The stars never lie, after all, but they can manipulate, and that is exactly what Aaravos does. One of the first things we hear Aaravos tell Viren is “I never lie”, and here we have truth written as one of the first words to describe Startouch Elves. There is a connection.
There was some great stuff to come out of these pages, and I am so excited to learn more about each of these kinds of elves! A lot of threads and established ideas are certainly connecting and expanding.

TDP Season 6 Episode 1 live reaction, spoilers under the cut
Who is this man crying?
What the fuck it’s Aaravos
Ok so Aaravos showing actual emotion was not on my 2024 bingo card
Genuinely why does his crying sound autotuned
There’s another startouched elf??? Who is she?????
Why is the intro still Viren getting statued??? He’s dead
Oh ok his statue got disintegrated
Yup he’s dead
Terry my beloved
O h n o he’s gonna find viren’s body
Bro why are you sobbing over this racist motherfucker
WAIT WHAT
HE’S ALIVE ????? WHY IS HE ALIVE????
oh no Claudia’s covered in blood
NOOO THE LITTLE MOTH GREMLIN SHE DID THE SACRIFICE
Oh damn Viren is fully redemption arcing and he has Regrets
“No parent wants their child to suffer for them” first of all tell that to Soren. Atone for your bullshit. Second of all you’ve clearly never met my mother
Ah shit Aaravos convinced Claudia to let him out
Viren’s actually putting his foot down and saying no. I never would have predicted this pre-s5 but now it makes total sense and I love that the writers are sticking with his character development
Oh ew this show is actually going to get me to like Viren I hate that
He’s going to Katolis to turn himself in. Based tbh.
Claudia what the fuck though like girlie your whole point of everything was to get your dad back and he’s fine now why are you still going along with Aaravos
Oof her voice acting in this scene is incredible though
Also she’s still missing that leg. I hope she gets either a cool prosthetic or an even cooler mobility aid.
Soren has opening blindfolded for some reason. The reason is either going to be A Secret Meeting for Very Not Good Ominous Reasons or something very funny
Based on the tone of the scene I’m assuming it’s the funny option
LMAO LORD BREADSANDWICH SOREN I LOVE YOU
Oh it’s just a season 5 recap in the high mage’s office
Oooh they’re deciding what to do with aaravos’s prison
I get he’s on the high council and all but why is Barius here???
Callum wants to destroy the prison, Opeli wants to assemble a multi-kingdom task force to protect it, and Barius wants to hide it
I’m with Callum or Barius tbh, the multi kingdom task force idea exposes too many people to potentially be manipulated by aaravos.
However, hiding it means that it can be found probably and exposes everyone who already knows about it to Aaravos, and destroying it runs the risk of freeing him accidentally.
Soren with the LOTR reference 💀
Rayla has the same issues as me with destroying it
Ezran has decided to hide it in katolis, smart choice
oh no, Zym’s sad about Zubeia
Callum wants to visit this ancient faction of skywing elves for info on A) yeeting the pearl out of existence and B) un-coining Rayla’s family (please let them out)
Callum is right to be afraid of aaravos manipulating him tbh
Awww one of the baitlings sleeps in Callum’s bed
Oh god aaravos nightmares oh FUCK WHY ARE YOU SLEEPWALKING
what the fuck what the fuck whY IS HE IN THE PEAR WHAT WAS THAT IMAGE OF AARAVOS YEETING THE PEARL F E A R
Rayla do NOT dismiss Callum’s concerns like that
“I have an idea” *fucking sprints away to enact said idea without elaborating* peak autism moment
I’m sorry, you want to stop aaravos with the power of pastries?
“Sometimes I wonder where my mom is too” SOBBING
awwwww bait has a little four poster bed that’s so cute
AHDIEJXIEKF BARIUS DID AN “is it real or is it cake” WITH A FUCKING PEARL DECOY IM WHEEZING
Ooh anti spell blankie
“I have my blankie 😎” Callum I would die for you
Soren and zym are going on a quest to find Zubeia and Callum and Rayla are going to see the Celestial Elves but more importantly, each questing squad is taking a baby bait with them!!
If the one going with Soren isn’t Hat I will be very disappointed
Claudia why are you ominously standing over Terry and trauma dumping
Claudia what are you doing with the staff
Claudia no please don’t hurt him if you hurt him it’s transphobic
Oh ok she’s just walking her toxic ass out of the relationship cool
Terry don’t wait for her she doesn’t deserve it

I came up with an OC who's a dark mage who lost one of his legs in the most ironic way possible, but I don't have a name for him yet? Any ideas? Also, how did you get the inspiration for your OC Ateris?
Hmmm that's somewhat difficult since the only characters from Evenere we have for naming reference is Fareeda and Ponmalar. From just those two though, it seems like it isn't particularly strict or specific! I don't know the story of his missing leg, but maybe you could seek out some kind of name that has a meaning akin to "(in pursuit of) greatness" since I get the impression that he faces quite a bit of challenges along the way? Although if he doesn't have many aspirations, that name might also be a bit of irony since he probably wouldn't really be an achiever, hrmmm... In any case, quite a few canon characters have names with meanings that are significant to them, their personality, their story, and/or their future in some way, so maybe there are a few things you could figure out on a deeper level as the creator of the character. Personally I enjoy using this site to find names since you can search for name meanings as well! I saw the picture of your OC that you tagged me in and he looks really cool!! I don't know if you plan to do anything with this info, but Evenere is coincidentally known for beautifully crafted prostheses, so he's in the right place!
For Ateris, I based him largely on one of my other comfort OCs from a different fandom (Ateris' human form would probably be a near spitting image of him tbh lmaoo), so even now he still has heavy roots there albeit with his own unique qualities. Also, I loved the idea of a startouch elf based on a black hole or dying star who would ultimately endure or has endured many hardships. Early on in the TDP OC fandom space, it seemed like in general making startouch elves based on specific kinds of stars (black hole, white dwarf, red giant, etc) was a phase and yes I miss seeing more of them cries-- Since he had dark elements to him, I also was originally tying in a spider aesthetic to him to add to the more unsettling vibe despite his beauty. His original design shows it a little bit, but in the end the only thing that remains in his current design are the diamonds on his face that somewhat appear as if they are extra eyes. Likewise, despite the initial edge I went with him, he gradually the much gentler entity he is today through a very big overhaul of his character over the years. But for the TL;DR, I really liked the edgy black hole aesthetic and the rest of his character came later. I'm a very "appearance first, story later" kind of oc maker heehoo

A VERY rough sketch of different elf eyes from tdp (thanks to the runaari discord for giving me ideas lol)
Some of my ideas under the cut!
Moonshadow: Cat-like pupils that go huge in the dark, so they can’t see as many colours as humans
Sunfire: Bright pupils, probably not so good for seeing in the dark, but they can see more colours than humans and other elves. Their irises seem to reflect light more than humans’ as well
Skywing: I based this particular one off a parrots’ w the colouring, but there would be all different types. Skywing elves that primarily fly at night would have dark eyes, and they all have second eyelids that blink sideways like birds
Startouch: Black sclera with irises the colour of different stars (red, yellow, blue, white - maybe they change colours as the elf ages like stars!) Star in the middle of the pupil bc I thought that was cool lol
Earthblood: Goat pupils lol. They have a wider range of vision than other elves and are better at seeing small movements.
Tidebound: I went wild and gave this one koi colouring w cuttlefish pupils bc why the hell not. Depending on whether they live primarily under the water or on land, their eyes would be different. Maybe they’re amphibians and would have frog eyes!
