he truly is just lying around rn huh

but yes <3 the starting incident of a3 is that MC, Izumi, has to save the old theater of his father, because after her father disappeared 10 years ago, everyone left the theater and there was no one left to run it but a Manager who doesn't know what he's doing. Except that when Izumi arrives, turns out that by now the theater has been taken care of by a Yakuza (Sakyo) who has been paying for the fees of the theater and its associated dorm for ~Mysterious Reasons~ and therefore, also has to pay a debt for it, which he demands Izumi to cover, else he'll turn the old theater into a cabaret in order to be able to pay this debt up.

but because Izumi is touched by a new actor of the company's passion (Sakuya), and remembering how precious theater was to her before, she decides to take the challenge and actually restore the theater to its glory day, and make it a viable business enough to cover the debt.

And eventually you learn Sakyo actually really wants Izumi to succeed, because when he was a kid and was very poor, he used to come to the theater and the actors there used to let him stay here during the rehearsals, and he fell in love with theater then -- and with the young daughter of the director of the theater as well (wink wink).

But therefore once poverty led him to take drastic decisions into a life of crime, he felt like he didn't deserve to belong with the company nor with theater anymore, but once he was stable economically, and he saw the theater struggle, he started to pour money into it to save it -- even if it was a vain endeavor.

And so when Izumi realizes all of that she challenges him instead to join her company in the Autumn Troupe, because he truly cares about the company, and if anything, he should reclaim his childhood dream rather than let the circumstances of his life dictate how he lives it now.

And Sakyo's themes are pretty much a lot about how he feels too old to carry on his dream (he's 30 but he's one of the oldest ppl of the company so he's complexed about it), and feels like his hands are too dirty for it, and he has to reclaim that it's never too late to figure what he wants to do with his life, even if he feels a generational gap with the rest of his troupe for instance. And also about the remaining trauma that it is to have grown up in poverty, i would argue.

But yeah he's a Yakuza still, it also means we're supported by his Yakuza gang, and eventually at some point the son of his boss joined our company (Azami) and it was a whole lot of trouble since Sakyo basically was like a second dad to him and huh. Azami doesn't have a good relationship with either of his dads.

But yeah therefore, we have a Yakuza, two counting Azami, in our crew.

and they're not even the weirdest parts of the company.

(we also have two honest to god spies in the company, so like, yaknow, that puts things into perspective.)

You mentioned knowing m!Orologia's seiyuu from A3, who does he voice in that?

oh yeah, he voices Guy! He's the rookie of the Winter Troupe, appearing from act 2 and onward.

He doesn't use the same range at all as Orologia so maybe it's less relevent for you, but if you want:

his first solo song is Defragmentation, (with translations here), and his second song his For Your Journey~The Bar Secret, which will give you an overview of his character i think.

But else on the juicy bits with the duets:

Easily one of my favorite song of all A3!, a Phantom of the Opera song, featuring also Tamaru Atsushi (Tor in gbf). If there's only one song you listen to in this list, let it be this one.

Easily another one of my favorite, Hosts in an Hotel aesthetic, featuring also Kakihara Tetsuya (Elmott in gbf, though he's definitely on another range)

this one isn't really a fav of mine i must admit, but i have to mention it since he's singing it with Takuya Sato (Lu Woh's seiyuu). Two Samurai crossing blades to death.

The Winter Troupe is my favorite troupe in a3, all the charas in them make me cry a lot, so that gives you an idea. he's very dear to my heart.

Asamiya has revealed the cover for the Silent Möbius 35th Anniversary book he'll be selling at Comiket 103 this month.

The doujinshi will be A4 in size and contain 54 pages of Saimebi content contributed by 47 incredible talents ranging from series seiyuu like Okamoto Maya and Nagahori Miho, artists like Kotobuki Tsukasa and Kagawa Hisashi, through to a few more out-there names like Marvel Comics' C.B. Cebulski and shoujo/BL mangaka Shinjo Mayu.

The full-colour book will consist of both written essays and illustrations. Asamiya also plans to sell an A3-sized 2024 anniversary calendar for Kanojo no Carrera and Silent Möbius which will be available through his A!Smart store.

Do you know which of the voice actors knew each other before prsk? I saw someone say that Mizuki’s and Shiho’s went to the same elementary school before or something and was wondering if more of them knew each other before somehow.

Furirin (Airi) and Hiichan (Mizuki) voice characters in Love Live! Sunshine!! who interacted frequently. They had a focus episode and a centre song together. Tomoriru (Kanade) also voices a Love Live character but from a different generation, although all of them performed at Love Live Fest (not together admittedly). Hiichan and Tomoriru also both voice characters in revstar but I don’t know if the characters ever interact or if they’ve done any shows together.

Imai-san (Akito), Daichan (Tsukasa), and Tokishun (Rui) all voice characters in A3!. I don’t know anything about A3 but I remember hearing somewhere that Daichan and Tokishun were also in the same troupe in that game.

Honchan (Shizuku) voices a minor character in BanG Dream!, while Yukki (Shiho) voices a major character from that franchise. However their characters do not interact, so I doubt they ever did.

Ruirui (Mafuyu) and Minoringo (Ena) knew each other for years before both being cast in proseka, though I'm not entirely sure how they knew each other. I know that Minoringo is also good friends with Imai-san but I do not know if they knew each other prior to proseka.

According to the wiki, multiple seiyuu have voice characters in iDOLMASTER. According to the imas wiki, this list gets longer. imas confuses me there's a lot of seiyuu and i don't entirely know how the whole thing works out but here you go.

From Million Live there's Ueshama (Honami) and Komachi (Nene)

From Cinderlla Girls there's Yukki, Minoringo and Ruirui (oh I'm guessing that might be how they knew each other)

and from SideM there's Tokishun and Itoken (Toya)

as far as I'm aware these all predate proseka. Isobe-san (Saki) also voices a character in imas Shiny Colors but again I don't know anything about imas so not sure if she ever would've been given the opportunity to interact with the others.

also apparently there's multiple seiyuu who have done work on Uma Musume.

yeah in other words I don't know who knows each other personally outside Yukki and Hiichan attending the same school I just know who's done voice work in the same media and might've interacted.

Meet the Seiyuu: Azul Ashengrotto

Azul’s VA Tamaru Atsushi first became interested in voice acting while studying for university entrance exams, when he would listen to radio shows hosted by voice actors in order to relax. 

He enrolled in a voice actor training academy during his second year in university while majoring in electronics and IT. His thesis was on learning support tools for satellites; he studied at both schools simultaneously. After graduating he was accepted to his first agency through an open audition for aspiring voice actors. 

In an interview Tamaru says that he was the only new actor they accepted who had yet to have a lead role in any project. He says his first job was not voice acting, but for study materials.

I am not sure if this is the same project he mentioned in the interview but I was able to find a 2019 English conversation study guide, “Handsome English Conversation Phrases”, for people studying English as a second language.

In a 2021 interview Tamaru said he can be a perfectionist and struggle if he doesn’t feel he'll be able to do something to perfection.

When he first started out he was very nervous in front of senpai VAs and would obsess over being polite and any bad feedback he received on set.

His voice acting debut was 2009 anime “Kupu~!! Mamegoma!” at age 23. 

Tamaru voiced Kunimi Akira in Haikyuu!!, but actually auditioned for the role of Kageyama Tobio.

In a 2015 interview he said that his hobby is board games and that he enjoys Dominion and Settlers of Catan.

When asked, “What kind of role would you like to try in the future?” in the same 2015 interview Tamaru responded, “It is something I’ve never done before, but I would love to play a villain. I don't think my voice is suited for a villainous role, but I think I might have a chance if it were a colder-looking villain.”

He has had lead roles in 17 different anime series, 25 video games, over 30 drama cds including Jewelpet, Aikatsu!, Meganebu!, The Irregular at Magic High School, The Asterisk War, Seiren, A3!, Gundam Build Divers, I-Chu, Build Divide, Gakuen Heaven 2, Touken Ranbu and more.

Both Tamaru and Floyd’s VA Okamoto voice characters in “Variable Barricade NS”, for the Nintendo Switch, while Tamaru and Jade’s VA Komada voice the lead characters in drama CD, “All Our Love and Youth”.
