I went to Greenhills today to shop for semi-precious stones for a custom pendant-cross I’m planning to have my alajero (jeweler) craft for me. My suki, a kind Muslim lady named Aaima, gave me a nice discount. The four aquamarine stones cost about ₱2,800 in total. She also convinced me to enhance the design by adding a moissanite stone at the center. I gave in to the suggestion—it wasn’t too pricey, and I figured it would elevate the overall look of the cross.
Now, here’s where it gets interesting. The cross frame is estimated to use around 4 grams of gold, and with the current gold price at ₱4,200 per gram, that’s ₱16,800 just for the gold. Adding the semi-precious stones at ₱3,400 and the alajero’s labor cost of around ₱2,000, the total estimate comes to nearly ₱23,000.
While it’s a bit of a splurge, I had some extra money saved up. Instead of spending it on milk teas and hotpot meals, I decided investing in a custom piece of jewelry to add to my collection was a more meaningful and lasting choice.
Speaking of Greenhills Mall, it was a pleasant experience. It’s not too big or too small, just the right size to explore without feeling overwhelmed. The variety of merchant stores is impressive and makes browsing interesting and enjoyable.
Oh, and aside from the stones, I also picked up some printer ink since my current cartridge had run out. A productive shopping trip overall!

Had dinner and coffee with the manongs tonight. As you can see, I looked a bit unkempt—well, let’s be honest, I always look a little worn out, haha. But honestly, a Friday dinner with the manongs was just what I needed after the whirlwind of a hectic week that followed the New Year.
It was such a welcome break to sit down, share a meal, and simply relax with family. Moments like these remind me how comforting it is to be surrounded by the people who’ve been there through everything.

Not entirely satisfied with Friday’s meal, Manong Dencio decided to invite us to Tagaytay for some bulalo. At first, I wanted to decline—I was planning to sleep the whole day and recover from the week’s chaos. But they convinced me, saying I could just nap in the back of the car and they wouldn’t mind my snoring. Fair enough, so I said, sige, no problem.
And I’m glad I went! The meal was not only hearty but surprisingly affordable. For a big bowl of bulalo, a serving of pinakbet, and some grilled tuna belly, we only spent around ₱800. A satisfying feast and great company made the trip totally worth it.

The oven you see here is one of my first “adult” purchases, made possible thanks to a Lazada sale. I finally dared to buy an appliance I’d been eyeing for my unit, and it felt like such a win.
Chris heard about the new oven and decided to drop by, bringing along some store-bought pizza dough and sauce. I contributed with leftover sweet ham and fresh basil leaves from my kitchen. The result? Homemade pizza paired with wine and some chocolates for a quiet, cozy Sunday evening.
As the night stretched past 11 PM, I noticed Chris had already gone through a bottle of wine and two cans of San Miguel in between. Concerned about him driving back, I invited him to stay the night. Thankfully, he agreed, and we ended the evening on a safe and relaxed note.
Before I end this narration, i want to address a couple of feedback sent to me. First, thank you for finding time to read the mundane journal of my life and the fact that you engaged via a private message means a lot to me. However, I want to let you know that I am working on my grammar lapses. I dare not use Chat GPT since I want my posts to be raw and unfiltered as my head churns out ideas while my fingers type them. besides, if I use AI to correct my narration it would appear so professional, obviously which is not me.
so again, bear with me and if you see any areas for improvement, please let me know as I am open to correction.
Thank you as always :)

August is where the bullet leaves the body. August is the core of the fruit, the bitter seed in the middle. August breaks me in half. August is heartache. August teaches me how to cry. Teaches me how to thunder. August, I love you. August, forgive me - I have not yet forgiven myself.

Hi, so this is the beginning of the second chapter. I hope you like it 😊 💖 .
Chapter: 2 kidnapped?
Waking up remembering what had happened yesterday made me smile for some reason. I was snapped from my mind by my mum's soft, gentle yet loud voice calling my name.
Mum:"Aaima!!"
Aaima:"Yes, mum," I yell from my room
Mum:"Come on, wake up, eat something, and get dressed. we have stuff to buy."
Aaima:"Okay!" I said, exited

Hello. My name is Aaima and I'm 16 year old. I sent you different asks in the past, to you and others, about Hakim Ziyech and his relationship with Islam and I'm sorry if I was being rude. I come from a very conservative family and I didn't like that he used to smoke drink alcohol and do soft drugs (he said on vogue) as a teenager for the image he gave of Islam to others. I thought he should not becoming captain of the Morocco national team for this reason, because I thought a player who is more open about his love for Islam should be. I thought he didn't grew up in Islam because he doesn't express it on social media but then I thought it's not right to judge others for past mistakes and it's not right to assume they're not religious from social media and I thought about this a lot so I want to say sorry to you and to anyone I offend.ed. I think that I'm still young and I'm learning from others but I apologise and I hope you can accept my apologies.
salam aaima,
thank u for ur apology. ik it's very hard to unlearn judgement that comes from being in a conservative family. while it is very nice for us as muslims to see islam represented in sports we have to remember why we're watching/following these ppl in the first place. bc theyre athletes. bc they play the beautiful game. since u bring up his captaincy, if he's a good captain who wins us games? so what? morocco has a jewish and christian population too. and if he didn't believe in anything so be it. it's the moroccan nt not the muslim nt. the moroccan gvmt was not the happiest w players repping for palestine and being practicing muslims (colonial france/spain things id rather not get into rn). if we want to follow ppl for their religion then we should look to scholars and sheikhs. not celebrities/athletes.
only allah knows what's in their hearts and what he has planned for them in the future. mulims, as a greater community, forget that all we're supposed to do is make dua for them and keep our silence/peace. the second those judgements come flying out of our brains and into existence we also get sins. i dont see christians coming after christian players for not attending sunday mass or not posting christian lectures/talks on their insta stories.
ur only 16. u still have time to see the world and all the beautiful people allah put on it. good on u for starting the process of unlearning ur bias. good luck on ur journey.

Hospitality Of Imam Ja'far As-Sadiq (a.s) ❤️
Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq (a.s) used to display such hospitality that people were astonished. Never was his dinner spread devoid of travelers and destitutes.
Like Prophet Ibrahim, the Imam never ate without the company of a guest. He often used to say, “A morsel that a believing brother eats with me is better for me than emancipating a slave.”
Sulaiman Ibne Khalid says that once a governor of Mansur was a dinner guest at the Imam's place. Different types of meat dishes and breads were placed on the food cloth.
After the people ate to satiation they arose to leave. Just then the Imam's servant entered with a dish of rice.
The Imam told them to partake it also but the people said that they were already full. But the Imam said that those who were his friends were also more deserving to dine at his place, and he insisted too much.
At the last the people again sat down to eat. The Imam said, “Once rice was presented on the dinner spread of the Allah's Messenger.
They were gifted by an Ansari (Helper) man. At that time, Salman Farsi, Miqdad and Abu Zar were also present. They were invited to eat but they wanted to excuse themselves.
The Prophet said: Eat! Our friend is only that who eats with us properly. Hearing this they all began to dine happily.”
Abu Hamzah Thumali narrates: One day we were eating at the dinner spread of Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq (a.s). Various kinds of delicious foods were present there. After that fresh and good quality dates arrived.
We also ate those. At last a person said, “On the Day of Judgment you all would have to give the account of the fine things you have consumed here.”
The Imam said, “Allah is much Greater, Higher and More Self Sufficient than this; that He should take account of what you have eaten.” They said, “But Allah Himself says:
Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. (Surah Takathur 102:8)
The Imam said, “The bounty mentioned in this verse denotes love for Ahl ul-Bayt. That is, you would be questioned on the Judgment day how far you have valued that bounty and of how you behaved with them. See, the same bounty is mentioned at another place:
This day have I perfected for you your religion and completed My favor on you…(Surah Maidah 5:3)
This bounty signifies the existence of the Imam.” Muhammad Ibne Zaid Shakham narrates: One night I was a guest of Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq (a.s). In the morning he asked, “What provisions of journey do you have?”
I told him what I had. He said, “May be it would be insufficient.” After that he gave me two gold coins and twenty dirhams. I took them and went away. But, by chance I could not commence my journey that day. The Imam (a.s) learnt that I was still in town.
He sent for me and asked, “Why did you not come back to me? Be my guest, till the time you stay in Medina. And if you need anything just mention it.” I said that I was very fond of milk.
At once, the Imam gave me a milk-giving she goat and then he taught me a supplication and told me to recite it in the month of Rajab.
The Imam used to serve his guests with the best foods, and himself ate bread and vinegar. He used to say, “This is the diet of the prophets and we also eat this only.”
Abdullah Ibne Bukair narrates: One day the Holy Imam was having dinner with his guests and various kinds of delicious dishes were laid on the dinner spread.
Someone remarked that the Imam spent too much on food, and that one must save for the future. The Imam said, “Sustenance is upon Allah. When He increases our sustenance, we also feed His creatures generously and when there is reduction in it, there is decrease here also.”
The narrator says: The Imam used to spend so generously upon the guests that sometimes there were financial problems for the family's expenses. One day the Imam was having his afternoon meal when a person arrived to him but did not greet him.
Those present with the Imam said, “Since he has purposely not greeted you, why did you invite him to join you?” the Imam replied, “It is the jurisprudence of Iraq. It smells of miserliness.”
One day some guests were dining at Imam's place when one of them needed something and no servant was present. A guest arose to get the required thing, but the Imam stopped him and himself performed the job. Then he said, “Our grandfather, the Prophet of Allah, has commanded that it is incumbent for the host not to take any kind of service from the guest.”

Ok so... 🙊 for Eli 🌈 for Adonis 🌠 for Saengchan 🎭 for Aaima, 😭for Ace, 🤥 for Flynn!
WOOOOOO LETS GOOOOOO :DDDDD
🙊 SPEAK-NO-EVIL - what is something your oc will refuse to stay quiet about?
A huge part of Eli’s story is about him learning to stand up for himself and to take up space and once he learns to do that he does it excellently- sort of. He’s really shitty at standing up for himself, but other people? No problem. It’d be kind of funny if it weren’t so sad- the guy who lets everyone else walk all over him is the same one getting into a fuckin fistfight two seconds later when someone insults his friends. Keep in mind this is later in his arc, because before that, he’s quiet about literally everything so that he doesn’t come off as annoying or bother anyone. So, in short, he refuses to be quiet about any injustices against other people yet refuses to speak up about any injustices against him.
🌈 RAINBOW - what advice would they give to their younger self?
Honestly? Adonis would have absolutely no idea what he’s supposed to say to his younger self. A simple “don’t fuck up,” maybe? He’s made several mistakes in the past, all of which led to him being Depressed And Alone as we see when we first meet him, and it would be impossible for him to cover all of them in one piece of advice. I think, though, the easiest would be to stop pushing everyone away. It’s only gonna make things worse in the long run. And also stop picking stupid fights that’s how he winds up with a bigass facial scar.
🌠 SHOOTING STAR - if they could make any wish with no repercussions, what wish would they make?
There are many different things Saengchan would wish for, but seeing as she is the most impulsive motherfucker in the world, she’d likely end up blurting out the first thing that comes to mind- which would be to be a dragon. It might be impractical and also a really weird thing to permanently wish for, but it would be a dream come true for him. A talking dragon, though, because they thrive on gossip and that’d be hard if people couldn’t understand them. Plus it’d be useful for taking down Breez, even though they could technically just wish for Breez to be defeated, but they want to be a dragon so the corrupt capitalist murder machine can wait.
🎭 MASKS - do they act differently around certain people? what's different between the way they act around friends, family, strangers, etc.?
Aaima acts very different around different groups of people!! Around her family, she’s much more quiet and reserved, seeing as she’s used to just fading into the background. With strangers, she comes off as cold and a little hostile, because she Does Not Trust Them and is always ready for a fight. Among friends, however (mainly the rest of Team Red because they are literally her only friends), Aaima is loud and unashamedly herself (plus a liiiitle bit bossy but it’s okay we love her). She is absolutely the kind of friend to viciously make fun of you in a loving way. It was a big shock for her family watching her act that way in the show because really? Shy, passive Aaima being loud and competitive? Wtf?
😭 CRYING - what makes them cry? do they cry easily?
Ace does not cry easily at all! In fact, their general philosophy on Bad Feelings is “smile through it and it’ll go away eventually!” which, yknow, is not healthy, but that’s them. If they do cry, it is only ever in private where nobody else can see them because that’s Super Embarrassing!
🤥 LYING - are they good liars? do they have tells to show they're lying?
Flynn is a scarily good liar. He will spout complete and utter bullshit right to your face without batting an eye if that’s what it takes to get what he wants from you. They have absolutely no problems with lying to people for any reason. He does, however, have one specific tell that’s a bit hard to notice, but he tends to blink a lot less when he’s lying - he’s paying very close attention and gauging your reaction the whole time to make sure he doesn’t get caught.
