.... Okay, so I might have made a ahit oc during my downtime. Based on the idea of "yeah the idea of hat kid being a little space orphan doing a job is sad.... But what if they were separated from their family and needed to get back home instead?"
And what if their worried mother came to the planet they were on, looking for them after they'd JUST LEFT like a month ago?
SOOOOOO HERE'S SUMMER!
I may have gotten carried away with myself on this idea-

dreamling as modern parents is a hilarious concept to me because they are both so fucked up and unsuitable for normal life really.
you just know that their kid would get bullied some time by another kid. and they'd go to 'mediation' or whatever at the school. and hob would really truly be this close to punching a five year old in the face. and would only barely restrain himself because he's supposed to be a better person in this century and he needs to set a better example for his child.
instead he punches the child's parent in the face.
then while hob is proudly congratulating himself on not decking an elementary schooler, dream shows up and, without thinking about it for more than .00001 seconds, curses the child with ten years of nightmares.
that's dreamling as modern parents in my mind.

Childe's character is sooo crazy because he gets introduced and you're like oh he's kind of silly kind of mysterious he's a little bit of comedy in this story about the murder of Rex Lapis and he's also probably who did it in the end. I get it I get what's going on here I know what a story is.
But then it's like. He starts summoning overlords of the vortex. He's desecrating Rex Lapis's corpse. And you have his boss battle and you go ohhhhhh he's like. Evil
BUT THEN. you get him as a playable character and he's like. "I love my family soso much (also basically I am an abyssal monster and every second I am not in a battle I feel like I'm dying :) but that's not important)" and finally you realize that he's just an absolute freak of nature. Most messed up guy

actually i think people need to talk about loki's myth kids more because what is that. he's got one kid so fast he can run through the air/over water, he's got one that's prophesized to be able to swallow the sun, a daughter ruler of the death realm, one that grows so big they leave him in the ocean and he just. wraps around the entire planet. ???

Okay okay hear me out-
Sharp/jagged/pointy halo for one of of the boys? Or something like Yoshiki holding Hikaru's head??? Idk if you're into the more body horrory aspect of HGSN but I am also particularly fond of what MMR did to "Hikaru's" head in chapter 24. Or uhhh- oh! Maybe Tanaka if you're a fan of him??? I don't see a whole lot of art for him yet lol
Hmm idk- I tried to come up with a few in case one strikes inspiration but I can't think of anything else atm 😭
I got a sudden strike of inspiration

tony didn’t get a head start on child rearing bc he mentored a teen, he got a head start child rearing because he loved peter like his own, and real love means talking care of your people the best you can with or without allistic/superhuman traits

the contrast between lance/seb’s and sebchal’s social media pr videos always gets me because charles is constantly looking at sebastian like he’s the second coming of christ, meanwhile lance has the biggest “peacefully minding my own business” aura i’ve ever seen

Sometimes I think of Amy Pond, who grew up being called mad by those who wielded the word as a tool of exclusion and shame —
Amy Pond, who though forced into the hands of four psychiatrists, still clung to that which they called madness until those systems which elevate psychosocial conformity above humanity stripped it from her —
Amy Pond, whose imaginary friend reappeared for a single hour after twelve years and reignited that faith before disappearing for two more years —
Amy Pond, who spent those those two years under the same implicit threat ingrained in her through psychiatric violence, and thus began to believe the man who stopped the invasion was “just a madman with a box,” only for him to agree, and to also call her “mad, impossible Amy Pond,” reframing madness as non-negative for the first time in her life —
Amy Pond, who ignored the disembodied voice of her imaginary friend even as she ran away with him for real, who still lived each day with the traumatic internalization of deviancy dictated upon her by the psychiatric-industrial complex that shaped her from childhood —
Amy Pond, who wouldn't acknowledge the Doctor's voice, such that it took an Angel in her eye that was literally killing her to ensure she couldn't reality check herself —
Amy Pond, who stood before a room which muttered about “the psychiatrists we brought her to,” and though afraid, escaped their rigid parameters of acceptable existence.

It’s not the box itself he hates, it’s the fact it’s labeled for bad spiders.

As much as I hate verlaine, I have to admit that the man suffering in the trenches of depression after Rimbaud's death is perfect for my rimlaine.
