i assume they won't because the sandy hook families have been through enough shit at this point so why wouldn't they just take the win and be done for a while. but also. what if they sued him again.

Embrace cringe. Accept that there is fun to be had in it. Write the most out of character cracked up bullshit known to man and laugh yourself silly while doing so. Life is far too short to be worrying about things like “this character wouldn’t say that”

i mean you’re right about one thing, literally no one asked for this
but also imagine being this close to recognizing how trapped by his circumstances jgy was, recognizing that the key to changing his life would be changing his childhood, understanding that he didn’t receive love and support from anyone around him, and coming to this conclusion about his character. amazing.

WIP Wednesday Thursday
I missed the tag from the lovely @dear-massacre yesterday, as I've been repeatedly throwing myself into the pit of hell (preparing for job interviews) for the past few days. But I would still like to share a snippet!
This is from my Steter marriage pact fic:
~
“Your boyfriend gonna visit this year?” his roommate asks one day.
“What?” Stiles asks. He drags his eyes up from his computer screen, trying to jump back from coding to conversation.
Layne shrugs. He’s sitting on the sofa against the wall, a joint between his fingers. He turns, blows the smoke through the open window, settles back. “Your boyfriend. That guy you’re always talking to.” When Stiles just looks at him blankly, Layne adds, “You know. That Peter guy.”
That startles a laugh out of Stiles. “What? Dude. Fuck no. Peter’s just a…uh…” He pauses. For a few seconds, he scrounges around for the right label. Maybe there isn’t one. “I mean. Just…no. If you even knew him, you’d never ask that shit.” He ends on an awkward laugh, then clears his throat. “Why would you think that?”
Layne looks at him weird. Neutral, but weird. Same look he gave Stiles about the runes hidden behind the fridge. “Just always seemed like it? You talk to him a lot. Couple times a day, sometimes, and you’re always like—smiling. Kinda assumed you were long-distance.”
“No way. We’re not. We don’t…”
“Okay,” Layne says at last, dismissive. He has girls over a decent amount, but Stiles hasn't so far. So he's probably just wondering if he’s gonna take a turn being sexiled at any point this year. Like he thinks he could get sexiled by Peter Hale. Peter Hale with Stiles. It’s enough to make your head spin. “Just asking, man.”
When Layne heads out ten minutes later, off to some party with his annoying business school friends, Stiles is still staring into space. Because it’s a weird thing to think about, okay? What with the dumb pact and all.
No tags, but if you want to jump aboard the late sharing train, feel free to do it and say I tagged you!

okay wait laughingstock concept Incoming: so im imagining some of the neighbors (maybe Julie & Frank) noticing that Barnaby & Howdy are a lil fruity, yk yk. and Julie's like damn, i guess we have to play matchmaker here.
so naturally they wind up getting the whole neighborhood involved. everybody's a wingman here. Poppy's dropping hints when Howdy drops off groceries, Wally is constantly asking Barnaby to go get him things from the bodega, etc etc. Howdy and Barnaby are facing this sudden change in town-wide behavior with slight concern and bemusement
eventually - lets say Julie, Sally, and Wally - get Barnaby into the bodega and then abruptly leave like "don't have too much fun without us you two *wink wink nudge nudge*". once they're gone (read: very obviously hiding outside & watching through the window) Barnaby & Howdy turn to each other like:
Barnaby: you think we should tell them we're already married?
Howdy: let them have their fun - they'll figure it out eventually

I finally got to watch ep 91 tonight and holy shit what an episode to be coming in late to… I’m so fucking glad I’ve been avoiding spoilers this week become I was reeling for that whole episode. I really really thought we might get a TPK this time and instead we got 😢 possibly the saddest Bells Hells moment so far…

major spoiler for crimson peak below but the reason i love this movie so very very much is because
the ghosts are on edith's side.
every ghost in the movie is trying their best to be helpful in love and sympathy for all edith is going through, and i think that's beautiful. it's as if to say, "the supernatural world is safe. it's your fellow human beings you need to watch out for," which feels very on-brand for guillermo in general.
