Begrudgingly made an appointment to see a new psychologist. Found out my triage (idk what that means) is limited so I dont have many options for who to see. So the receptionist set me up with a provisional psych until my triage opens up. Which is like, whatever. Might as well 🤷 (also apparently provisional means they aren't registered yet or something. Like they're one step away from being a full psych)

But he also asked if i was in financial distress, and i didnt know how to answer (the answer is yes, i am, but I'm not exactly in the habit of just outright saying it lol) anyway when I hesitated (an extended 'uhhhh') he whispered "say yes!" in a conspiratorial tone

So i did. He then was like 'well in that case you can see this clinician for free for 26 sessions!". Bless him 🙏 our mental health system is fucked, but nice little interactions like that can make a difference in someone's day.

like if i search "gluten free" it should be illegal for walmart for instance to include items that are not gluten free in the results of that search

if it's super important to have "associated terms" or w/e included that could be an option for customers to opt into i guess but this thing where you HAVE TO pick through 5000 irrelevant items to find the 3 that actually meet the search criteria should be illegal

also if you sort by price and it does not actually sort by price (as none of the big shopping websites do anymore seems like) that should be illegal too.

Okay so like imma be real I made that post because of the recent sexyman contest 2025 blog.

Like it includes characters like Agent Stone from the sonic movies (NOT a sexyman, Lee Majdoub is conventionally attractive) and JESUS CHRIST. LIKE THE RELIGIOUS FIGURE.

Like that genuinely pissed me off and made me feel like this blog was taking the piss out of a hyperfixation I’ve had for four years. It genuinely sullies any actual research you could make about things like fandom trends, common archetypes of characters etc, aka WHY I STUDY SEXYMEN

Ive been telling my brain that if its too tired to properly daydream, its too tired to value my self worth.

Like I'm pretty much just going "Hey bro, listen, I think you're just tired and cranky. Go take a break, worry about a small insignificant fact for a while, and come back when you're well rested"

Its been somewhat effective because rather than just falling into a pit of "I'm a horrible person" I can stop myself, come back later and say "I'm just a person who needs to work on myself and my actions." My brain also isn't told to be nice to me (impossible task), it's just being told to chill out for a moment.
